Tales of the Abyss part 48
Regicide? Is it time now? Can we? I would also go for Mohs if the game just LET ME
Tumblr media
The fact that he gets angry over the kill order makes it real for me that he is Natalia's Dad. Meryl's Dad? Do we have to change her name now?
Tumblr media Tumblr media
adfdahfd, poor guy is like "you just ruined my WHOLE WORK OF SAVING YOU" yeah sorry XD
Tumblr media
alright bye!
(Ah, if anyone knows - I keep trying to compare Asch and Luke's appearance. Given that Asch's hair is darker and has dark tips in comparison to Luke, I wondered if their eye colors are different too, for example. But I can't see it well on the 3DS.)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Happy to hear that my party is not the only group here with in-fighting XD
Is that a visitors-badge on Dist???
Tumblr media
*pats hand* He is either going to come around or we will find you a better family. One who doesn't let bloodrelations sway them!
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Lmao, we could pull so many shenanigans with Luke and Asch switching places XD
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
HAH what did I say about scary strong old people in anime games? Let go!
Tumblr media
Pulling my hat before this guy! He gets it!
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Oh
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Oh no here come the tears man.
How does EVERYONE understand that actions mean more than bloodrelations but the king?!
Tumblr media
oh what the hell those are your own citizens!
Tumblr media
Yes thank you! Also did you knock out Dist and Largo to get here?
And Asch truly DOES care about his home, even after seven years away from it
Tumblr media
.. Which one?
Tumblr media
Letting the name slide for once eh? Then it must be an important promise!
Tumblr media
I don't want to hear that from you, grumpy face!
Tumblr media
Oooooh we even get a goodbye thingy! Awww. Shower them with gald once we get Natalia reinstated!
Huff that was emotional!

CLUB OWNER
The owner of ‘HELL BUNKER’ wears the name ‘Garnet’. A simple man, born as Falco Ritter in Cologne, Germany.
Coming from a middle class worker family, he migrated over to the NUSA to fulfill himself a dream of becoming an artist and of owning a place of his own to show his passion to the world: Techno(ise). Garnet’s lifeblood is not only his bunker and mixing music as a DJ himself, but also his event Chrome Chamber Rave and the radio station ‘HELL BUNKER.FM’ that provides the newest tech hits as well as an online and print techno(ise) magazine named “160+ BPM” that he releases every month. Garnet is an artist and self-starter through and through! Falco has earned quite a high cred and respect in the Night City raver business as his location with mainly CCR is unique compared to other techno(ise) clubs in the city. His vision was not only to bring European, especially German, techno(ise)¹ back to the NUSA, but also to combine it with other artforms and the desire of primal energy that lies deeply rooted within us. He used to be dj-ing at Totentanz years ago which gave him a lot of inspiration for creating HELL BUNKER afterwards. Today, being a quite known underground Techno(ise) DJ within the scene and his bunker, Garnet is still down to earth as a musician and business owner who loves to collaborate with other artists to create art that moves you cerebral and visceral altogether. He also does not shy away from acting as a bouncer for his own club. So if you may have asked yourself why he’s decorating himself with Gorilla arms: It’s for throwing out those who don’t behave appropriately. Falco doesn’t make any excuses.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
SET LIST
Garnet's common set list for Chrome Chamber Rave, a fictional hard technoise event in the world of Cyberpunk 2077. He still deejays at CCR. His setlist is of course all hard techno(ise) yet he concentrates to mix it with more emotions and a touch of industrial, even some lyrics and tends to venture further than that. Each song is unique to itself and can be a true experience if you are willing to let yourself soaked in and let it touch your soul.
“Technoise may not be able to save the world, but it will save your soul.”
— Falco ‘Garnet’ Ritter
Cover artwork by me. Steal and you will be doomed. I‘ve chosen tracks only by one artist named ‘Roman Gehrecke’. This artist is the closest to what I imagine Garnet would produce as well. So I decided to borrow the music for Falco. Of course all the music belongs to Roman Gehrecke! There's one song at the end of it I see as the one that is always played at last so the audience knows ok after that it's done. This song is also not by the artist mentioned above but has a well known melody majority knows.
Recommendation: ‚Gefallene Engel‘, ‚Anderswelt‘, ‚Stimmen der Tiefe‘ and ‚Schutt und Asche‘ – best listened to via headphones and making time for it should you want to try to get soaked into.
———
¹ "Technoise and its various derivations dominate much of the German scene. If you're hip, you already know about Technoise. If not, listen up. Technoise is quite popular with the discerning young punk; it was popularized by Germany's own NetWerk actually, you've got your Overlay style from London, Jazznetic from Rotterdam and Echo from Frankfurt. In addition, there are people producing Frock (Fractal Rock) all over the place. The good thing is, Technoise is quite easy to produce. You only need a small computer, some software and you're ready to buzz. Those of you with a message might miss the political attitude, but you're missing the point. Technoise is strictly for partying, tripping and dancing. People meet and dance up to the runner's point. Maybe that's a political statement in itself, oder?" — Eurosource Plus – The New Eurotheater Sourcebook for Cyberpunk

Note
Yo, since you brought it up, what's the interpretation of Abyss's ending you like the most?
Going for blood, huh, anon? I'll bite!
I'm on the side of 'technically I think it should be Asch in Luke's body' side even if I acknowledge it's ultimately ambiguous.
The Contamination sidequest, of course, is the principle foundation for this argument, as it spells out pretty clearly: Asch will die, but Asch will assume Luke's body as a backup. Luke will remain in body but not spirit, further twisting the knife to Jade, who no longer would want his dream of 'replicas as a replacement body' to come true as he wished for Nebilim.
We also see an example of the effect with Star in Ortion cavern. The group comes back to see that the original cheagle has died, and the replica remains. But when Jade interviews the cheagle via Mieu, he finds out that it is the original in the replica's body, who felt weak, passed out, and woke up in another body.
More arguably, but I also might look to Jade's immediate response after he learns of Asch's death. He starts asking Luke about how it feels and all that, likely trying to get a gauge on what's happening, if there's any chance Luke is escaping the Big Bang, etc. He wants Luke to escape this with his life, no matter how dismal the odds even without Asch's death.
...And he doesn't seem pleased with the response he gets.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
There's also his response at Tataroo itself, which, okay, very arguable, but to me is not a pleased look from Jade. I'm not claiming to be any kind of expert on reading emotions, but Jade's to me looks like one more of grief and/or disappointment than of happiness, especially in the anime, which could have more expressiveness than the original PS2 graphics in a game that had some notably poorly cutscenes.
Tumblr media
And while yes, the mysterious figure does have more visual hints to Luke than Asch, and does reference a 'promise', I will say that to the latter both of the redheads were chucking around promises to everyone and is ambiguous. Luke's promise to Guy, to Tear, Asch's to Luke, etc.
Also, I just think it could be a unique and sad ending if Asch, who has utterly loathed replicas and the concept of one, from Van's grooming and his own trauma regarding Luke's replacement, finds himself a 'replica' in the new world, in his counterpart's body, and has to start trying to figure out what to do and who to be in the new world while puppeting around what's effectively the corpse of another person. It's just uniquely horrifying a concept that I would have loved to see explored. Heck, maybe even a postgame or game about the Jade Gang dealing with the impending fonon crisis while maybe trying to find a way to get Luke back and all the drama that could result would have been fun.
...But, as always, this is a very cursory summary of some of the most common arguments for Asch. We could dissect the Contamination Effect and Big Bang and all that all day, but to me, I personally don't see any evidence that it is not working as prescribed on Eldrant, or 'reversed' as some people argue. The one example we see is it working as intended, and Jade doesn't seem all that pleased when it seems like it's starting to kick up with Luke.
However, I'd like to throw a much rarer argument into the works as a thing to consider, just for fun.
What if it's not Asch in Luke's body or the reverse, or a merging of the two into one mind/body...But Lorelei?
To this, I'd like to point out that Lorelei has a sworn duty to answer the Grand Fonic Hymn of Yulia. And what was Tear signing right before this mysterious person popped up randomly in a field when Luke nor Asch show a particular skill in stealth? Well I mean Luke says he's good at hide and seek but still
Uh-huh, Grand Fonic Hymn. This could also explain the 'promised' quote. Lorelei is fulfilling its covenant with Yulia in heeding her descendant's call.
The mysterious person's speech and behavior, for however short we see it, is...ethereal? For lack of a better word? Detached? Both Luke and Asch are very emotional people and don't tend to speak in such a even, neutral tone. Lorelei, however, is a fonic sentience (well, so is Luke, but Luke is a mini chunk of Lorelei) and is not human at the end of the day. What few lines we do get from it in game are 'indirect' and otherwise formatted in a manner humans don't usually use when speaking. To me, the more detached 'This place has a nice view of Hod' compared to anything Luke or Asch might have said normally, even a greeting, is more aligned with Lorelei's potential behavior.
So yeah. Perhaps it's Lorelei, come to Auldrant after heeding Tear's call, perhaps in its' scions' visages, attempting to honor them both by assuming elements of both now that they (or at least Luke) have re-assimilated into the greater whole of Lorelei. Lorelei certainly seems to like its scions.
In the end I can just summarize: scientifically, I think it's Asch, canonically, it's ambiguous. No matter what side of the debate one is on, I dislike people trying to insist that it is absolute fact that x happened. I think part of the ambiguity is intended to reflect the fact that the Score is gone, the future is no longer set. Notice also how all the text boxes are gone after the Score is repealed. What they're saying- what's happening is no longer has a single canonical answer. So even if I do think more of the rules of the Abyss world point to Asch, it's ultimately up in the air.

15 Years of Natalia
Tumblr media
November 2008. I think these are my first Natalias. As you can see, I haven't yet committed to the full floofiness of her hair.
So we've come to the end of my character appreciation series (for 2023, stayed tuned for next year), and that means it's time to turn to Tales of the Abyss, which I first played toward the end of 2008, during a very stressful point in my life. Perhaps because of that, but definitely because of the game's excellent story, it became one of my very favorite games, and there are lots of characters in it that I'd class among my favorites. But right at the top, and close to the top of my favorite characters of all time, is Her Highness, the national hero, the false princess, the girl with too many letters in her name, Natalia Luzu Kimlasca-Lanvaldear.
Let me tell you why.
Tumblr media
November 2008. Asch often features in my Natalia art. I like him a lot, both as a character and as part of the pairing itself. But I want to focus this post on Natalia, not Natalia and Asch.
When first glancing over the game's booklet, I identified Tear as the character I'd like. Looking at Natalia's design, I was actually quite turned off by her – all the frills, all the curls, all the puffs and scallops and ruffles. For a fan who loved cool, no-nonsense, knightly heroines like Celes Chere, Chris Lightfellow, and Mitsuru Kirijo, Natalia didn't seem to offer much.
Tumblr media
December 2008. A Natalia panel from my first attempt to do an Asch-Natalia comic.
And then you get her first scene in the game, where she blasts in at her absolute worst, domineering, catty, snobby, obsessed with her own little world of childhood promises. She barges into your party, insists she won't be a burden, and continues to bully everyone right and left.
Tumblr media
December 2009. My interest in Abyss cut off abruptly in early 2009 when I got into Persona 4, but it never died completely. It never does die completely.
But none of Abyss' party members are simply what they seem at first glance. Not only is Natalia soon revealed to be brave and generous (and more than a little unintentionally goofy) but the story forces her to mature.
Tumblr media
May 2011. See? The obsession's right back here again.
And it's not a shallow maturity, where she becomes cold and uncaring, hardly the same person she was before. Even as she faces betrayals and difficult choices, she remains emotional, even naive.
Tumblr media
June 2011. Trying to draw Asch and Natalia as regal and courtly as I possibly could.
But she stops focusing so much on herself, learns to treat others better, and realizes – though it takes her right until the end of the game – that she can't ask anyone else to make her dreams come true.
Tumblr media
October 2011. Natalia at the ending battle. I was so proud of this one.
So I very quickly learned to love Natalia. By the time I finished the game, I was hooked, already off and writing fanfic. But the thing was? I still didn't like her design.
Tumblr media
August 2012. Not sure what's happening with her elbow there. Maybe she's inviting someone to stroll with her.
I couldn't dispense with the flippy curls, but at least I could lose some of the ruffles, which is why so much of my art features her in alternate costumes or even completely new clothes.
Tumblr media
October 2012. It's hard to make Asch look both happy and in character, but I think I manage.
But as time's gone on, I've started to appreciate her canonical design. Yes, she's a frilly princess. That's okay. She's a dashing, gallant, daring, floofy princess. She doesn't need to become (or look) “stronger” because the game already proves her to be incredibly strong.
Tumblr media
March 2013. Post-game Natalia, looking older and more resolute.
And what's best about that is that you aren't merely told she's strong. She shows it, repeatedly, from immediately launching into rescuing the citizens of an enemy nation, to crossing a battlefield in order to halt a war, to risking her own life to negotiate with her father when he's literally named her an enemy of the state, to being punched by a man in a rioting crowd and then standing up to calm everyone and promise she'll do her best to protect them.
Tumblr media
February 2015. I wasn't drawing much Natalia that year, but I found this sweet little sketch. I believe that's an early sketch of Eider she's sharing the page with.
And this isn't stuff she does while the hero, Luke, is the one really doing it. These aren't moments where she's assisting him on various plot points in his quest. These are things she does for her own reasons, as key plot points in her own arc – connected to Luke's, but still distinct from his. She's not just one of his entourage, she is going through her own story right up to the end of the game.
Tumblr media
February 2021. And then after years of quietly resting, the Abyss-love hit me again. Time to draw the fanciest wedding Natalia possible.
In early days in the fandom, the female characters were often ignored in favor of the boys, and it was popular to bash Natalia. She's the “girly” one, the emotional one, the one whose story often focuses on her wanting to be loved and acknowledged by several male characters.
Tumblr media
November 2021. This is one of my favorite Natalias. I wanted to emphasize her physical strength as well as her personal strength, and I think she came out looking very different and striking.
She isn't stoic like Tear. She doesn't suffer in silence. She gets petty, she cries, she falls to her knees, she can be so caught up in her own mind that she doesn't know what to do, and the game itself goes so far as to slap her for it at her very lowest moment. I think for a lot of gamers, they weren't able to see past Natalia's shortcomings and annoying traits.
Tumblr media
March 2022. The cover for the newer Asch-Natalia comic.
But during my time in this fandom, I've noticed a shift, a positive one. More fans openly love the female characters, and I see much less scorn for Natalia these days. I wouldn't expect everyone to like her – she has her bad moments, and what makes one character work for one fan won't work for all fans. But I think people appreciate her heroic traits more now.
Tumblr media
September 2022. In the old days, there was this feeling she wasn't good enough for Asch. I've long argued Asch isn't good enough for her.
So Natalia is now one of my very favorite characters. I'm so happy that my first impression of her was so very wrong.
Tumblr media
August 2023. Her Glorious Majesty Natalia

Lantern.
"Salutations, friend Jaune!" Came the energetic voice of Penny Polendina as Jaune, who was carrying a bag walking through the streets a vale looked at the waving ginger.
"Hey,Penny, how are you?" Jaune said with a wave as Penny smiled brightly.
"I am fantastic, I had a blast hanging out with friend Ruby and her team today, but Jaune, where is your team?" Penny asked as he followed behind Jaune.
"I told them I was going to be doing something today, so they're back at the dorm. It's no biggie," Jaune told her as she inspected further to see Jaune backpack.
"Does whatever you're doing have something to do with whatever is in that bag?" Penny asked, and Jaune nodded asche continued walking.
It was a few minutes of silence as they both walked together, to where? Only Jaune knew, but Penny felt like something was off about Jaune.
"Friend Jaune, may I accompany you to wherever it is you are going? I'm supposed to be back home sometime after dark and wherever your going is in the direct location of the hotel me and father are staying at!" Penny said almost out of breath, Jaune just turned his head and gave a little smile.
"Sure. Penny, I'd like that. " Penny's eyes lit up happily.
-
They walked and talked about various things ranging from big to small. Ultimately, their talking and walking took them to the outside of Vale, specifically to a steep hill. Jaune stopped, deciding this was a better place than any.
Penny looked around at the nice scenery. The hill was big enough that you could see enough of the city.
"Wow!" Penny said mesmerized by the sight as Jaune began to rummage through his bag, pulling out a straw hat, two masks, a pair of gloves, and finally, a lantern.
"Friend Jaune, what are all these?" Jaune said nothing, just sighing before letting himself fall onto the grassy hill as Penny looked over him confused.
"Uhm, friend Jaune, I may not be a robot anymore, but I sense a sadness in you" Penny asked as Jaune just said nothing continued staring into the sky that was turning dark as small stars began to become visible.
"Heh, you sure you ain't a robot stil?" Jaune teased to her before his eyes went to the items on the floor.
"You're right, Penny, I am sad" Jaune said as Penny looked at her friend with concern.
"Why are you sad, friend Jaune?" Asked and Jaune just sat back up.
"A good friend, a hero of mine, passed away," Jaune said to her, and Penny looked at him in shock.
"Who?"
"Heh, he was a man with many names, tank with a ferrari engine, eater of worlds, face of fear, leader of the firefly fun house, the fiend and uncle howdy " he told her and Penny tilted her head curiously.
"Why does he have so many names?" She asked, and Jaune laughed as he patted the ground next to him.
"All just characters for him...his true self, his true name was Windham Rotunda," Jaune said to her, picking up the lantern as he reached into his pocket and pulled out a small book of matches.
"You must have been very close?" Penny asked and Jaune shook his head.
"No, not at all. He probably didn't even know I existed." Jaune laughed to Penny's confusion.
"B-but I don't understand you said you were good friends?" Penny asked and Jaune sighed.
"Neither do I sometimes, but if you watched him as I have, getting to see him scratch and claw his way through the challenges he faced to being one of the most loved guy by millions, over time you grow a bond even, even if don't know them personally, that's what I felt with Windham" Jaune explained but Penny still just didn't understand.
"Haha, you just became human, emotions like that will come to you, and sometimes you can't explain it, though I do hope you have nothing but happy emotions in your life" Jaune said as Penny just turned to face the city but to her surprise a bug made its way and flew onto her nose, tilting her head she looked at the little bug curiously before to her amazement the bug glowed a green color.
"Friend Jaune, this bug glowed green! It glowed green! " Penny said excitedly as suddenly more and more of those same bugs began to rise up from the ground around them.
"Those, Penny are fireflies, Windham also called everyone he met 'fireflies,' " Jaune told her as he suddenly struck a match and lit up the lantern, illuminating the space around them, making them look like a small beacon in the dark with the hundreds of fireflies surrounding them.
"Woooooah." Penny looked like Ruby when she found an extra pack of thin mints.
"Hey Penny, thanks for walking with me to here and spending some time. It's been very great, " Jaune said to her as Penny looked at Jaune with a smile.
"Anything for a friend!" Penny said as Jaune chuckled as he looked up at the night sky.
"It's getting late. Shouldn't you be back at the hotel?" Jaune asked, and Penny looked out back into the city and then back to Jaune.
"You're right, friend-jaune, but I'd really like to know more about your friend Windham," Penny said with a smile as Jaune teared up a bit as he let out another broken chuckle before pulling out a scroll.
"I hope you like long stories"
"That sounds sensational!"
And so the two sat and watched videos, well thought out the night, eventually Jaune took Penny back to the hotel, but not before taking the lantern into his hand, the flame glowing dimly, as the memories spent watching his hero flowed through him. The good, the bad,and the awesome.
Jaune gave one last thank you in his head before blowing out the lantern on last time.
See ya, cowboy.
-
I am sad.
I am in pain.
So, with that sadness and pain I wrote this, I figured Jaune could be a Bray Wyatt guy.
I loved everything Bray did, from his FCW stuff all the way till now, and I'm still trying to process it.
I don't know, it just seems all surreal. Never have I ever hated seeing the word 'Was' until now.
Him and Brodie are up their now, causing chaos, I bet.
Call up your buds or family members and tell them you love em.
Much love to you all.

Tales of the Abyss ending analysis
Yeah, everyone and their grandma already gave their opinions, and I know it's an open ending, and no matter the real outcome, the ending will always be bittersweet.
But!! Since I have now played the game, I felt like writing down a compilation of all details while it's fresh (from both what I noticed + people pointed out) that give base to the possibilities.
For the sake of not confusing ourselves, Luke is the protagonist, Asch is the original Luke, Mystery Luke is the post-credits guy.
Ok, first things first. Using the post-credits as reference, I'll split this into 4 things you can use to decide who Mystery Luke is:
The promise Mystery Luke mentions;
Tear cries;
Jade's reaction;
Mystery Luke visuals.
Ready?!
1 - The promise Mystery Luke mentions
Tear asks "why are you here?" Why is he here, indeed. I assume Tear's fonic hymn brought him back. But what if he came back from who-knows-where (the core?) a little before than that, found out how everyone would meet that night, only to make a cinematic appearance? It's been 2~3 years since the final battle (since Luke's coming-of-age cerimony is happening that day, which is Luke's 20th birthday), so there was enough time for him to reform his body and wander a little before showing up.
Anyway, back to her question! He answers there's a nice view of Hod there. See, this Hod is by default the point of meeting, because it was the last place they saw Luke. It also very close to Tataroo Valley, the point of Luke's journey start!
And now he adds. "And also I promised someone." Cool, cool. Let's start by discarding Natalia and Asch promise. The reason is simple, Asch already recognized it in two different moments: back in Sheridan, in the sunset scene and in Baticul, when he saves her and Luke from being executed. Natalia also let this promise go after she starts to want both Asch and Luke to follow their own paths and not be held back by expectations of their noble status and stuff. The only one who kept bringing it back from time to time was Luke, actually. So what's left? Not one, but there's actually TWO promises left!
The first is Luke's promise to his friends of coming back. Well, more specifically, to Tear. Because he only uses the word promise with her. Hence why he says "someone" (one person). If you want to be picky.
The second is Asch's promise of returning alive to Luke. Whoa?! Right after leaving Asch behind in the duel room, Luke makes him promise to survive. And he goes "Shut up! Fine, I promise."
Now, this brings us to the next point-
2 - Tear cries
You would think it's pretty obvious, huh? She cries because she's happy Luke is back! Wrong. What? OK, just maybe. You see, through the whole game, Luke keep all his memories and thoughts written down on his diary (medical orders lol). One of the entries has the following: "I wonder if she won't cry even after I die?" Well, what if Tear noticed something was different and this isn't really Luke. And then we would have the answer: yes, she actually would cry for you, Luke.
So, was it happy Tear(s) or sad Tear(s)? (sorry not sorry)
Now, talking about noticing things, here's the next point-
3 - Jade's reaction
Seeing his reaction the first time, I was so sure he was smiling! Then I wasn't so sure anymore. We don't know if he can listen to Tear and Mystery Luke word exchange. But he's observing the whole thing, the others start to move towards the pair and then there's this big focus on Jade reaction. Something comes to his mind and he gives a little gasp. And then he withers (I can't find a better word). What emotion is he holding back? Is he relieved or is he actually melancholic?
Now, we are talking about the guy whose one of the possible titles is Gambler at Heart. Right now he's finally seeing the results of his bet. Did he win? Did he lost? Was he wrong about the outcome of Luke's destiny? And even if he was, does it really mean Luke is back?
And finally, we get to the last point-
4 - Mystery Luke visuals
We stabilished Jade noticed something. And right after this, the camera goes to show Mystery Luke's back, and we see the Key of Lorelei. Asch is right handed, Luke is left handed. And the sword is positioned for a left handed person. What that means?
Woah, it's Luke?! But, wait. The hair is pretty long for a 2~3 years interval... ("my hair grows fast!", anyone? xD)
Which means... It's Asch's body?!
Not much to comment over the clothes, it's closer to Luke's taste (?) but we don't know where Mystery Luke got them. Fonic magic? Bought somewhere, if you like the idea of him coming back some time before the post-credit scene?
Anyway, in the end, I believe Mysterious Luke having Asch's body is the only sure thing, and here's why-
Bonus - Contamination effect
A "little" extra, some thoughts about the contamination effect and what Jade expected to happen (but didn't want to happen).
I was really excited for the sidequest sequence because I believed it would clear everything up. But!! It didn't? Let's go through what information we got from it.
Let's jump to the second part of this sidequest, when Jade talks to Star, the Cheagle. Someone pointed out that when we free Star back in Ortion Cavern, he was found in the Replica's cell. But Star says he's the Original. He claims that his replica (probably) died. And that he also died once, felt something flow into him and then wasn't dead anymore- and Replica Star was gone. We don't know how Original Star died, but for the sake of the argument, for now, let's say it's was due to the replica experiment side effect.
So the Original eventually dies, and the Replica is absorbed, making the Original come back to life. But wait, remember how we found him in the Replica's cell? Shouldn't we have found him in the Original's cell instead? What does that means?!
Easy. The Replica's body absorbed the fonons of the Original, and the latter took control of it. What Original Star felt was his own fonons flowing into his new body. So even though Original Star "died", he's the one who stayed, taking place of the Replica. Learning what happened, Jade questions if that meant Dist completed the perfect isofon research. So this is the result of creating a replica with perfect isofons.
Now, what happens to the Replica in this case? Is it erased? For the answer, we have the rest of the sidequest.
Third part of the sidequest, Jade talks to Spinoza. We find out that he tried to explain to Asch the effects of a perfect isofon creation, and here we get the concept of the "big bang". Asch was supposed to gradually grow weaker physically and fonic wise until the moment said "big bang" ocurred. But that explanation was misleading, and Jade quickly picks up that Asch got the wrong impression from it (thanks, Spinoza). Jade also thinks "it's too late", as in trying to correct him won't matter at this point, for what Asch already did until now was half motivated by the idea of dying soon. But we already know from Star's case that the Original doesn't really die.
Fourth and last part of the sidequest. Jade talks to Dist. He tells him Asch has died, but not from the big bang thing. Dist just brushes it off, saying that the big bang was probably already beggining. And then Jade says "maybe not!" and Dist goes "but that goes against your own theory!". And by the end of this, Dist adds "...his memories will remain" almost as an attempt to comfort Jade, that replies "no, nothing but his memories will remain."
If you take that literally, it's kinda confusing, because if the Replica's memories do remain, why Original Star didn't seem to recognize he had Replica Star's memories? So I lean to the idea that by "memories" is more like "memories of his existence" rather than "the raw memories that belonged to him"! haha
At this point, we arrive at Jade's logical expectation versus Jade's wishful thinking. If Jade's theory is right, Asch will take Luke's place. But if by some miracle or plot armor the big bang doesn't happen at all, or it happens the other way around, then Jade is wrong. And Jade hopes he is.
Now one more thing about the contamination effect outside of this sidequest chain.
After Asch dies, Luke feels something flow into him. Sounds familiar? Original Star said the same thing. But Luke is still Luke at this point. And then Jade asks if he felt something leave him. Luke just talk about feeling a little weak.
What is that about? Well, Luke receiving fonons from Asch is exactly what was to be expected from perfect isofons. The big bang is happening. If it was the opposite, then Luke would be the one to stay. But that isn't the case. Just like Jade predicted.
Well, you could question why only a bit of fonons were absorbed, like Asch sent specifically his hyperresonance power- Maybe there's no big bang at all, like Jade hoped.
But then, there's the scene right before Luke completes his deal with Lorelei. Jade gives outs his left hand for a shake and Luke raises he right for a second, like a reflex. Even though Luke is left-handed.
Big bag effect? Asch, is that you???
And finally, we have the cutscene of Luke carrying Asch. Right before changing to the outside scene, Asch's hand twitchs. Did Luke just reverse the big bang? Instead of Asch taking Luke's place, Luke takes Asch's place? Maybe because Asch died before the big bang took full effect?? (Even though Dist wasn't concerned about it...)
I think YES. Listen, Original Star never died. He was big banged into Replica Star. But Asch, an original, did die. And Jade has learned time and time again that you can't bring back the dead. There.
Oh, Asch's memories? Star didn't get any new memories. Luke won't, either.
Aaahh??
Like Mieu and Luke said: "I don't really understand it!" (lol)
Another bonus - Lorelei
I kinda of get why some people think Mystery Luke has Lorelei involved somewhere, but may I remind that Lorelei's final goal was to go to space and become the seventh fonon belt? He even goes woosh towards the sky in the post-final-battle cutscene.
Really, the only thing he does in the end is to congratulate Luke and leave.
Did I miss something??
Conclusion
I thought by the end of this I would find myself with an ambiguous conclusion, but as I wrote down, I got stuck with only one outcome.
Mysterious Luke' promise? It's Luke's "I'll be back" promise. Tear cries? Yes, of happiness (because she refuses to cry of sadness). Jade's reaction? "OH?!" to "Welp, you almost fooled me." Mystery Luke's visual? Questionable fashion. It's Luke. I mean- it's Asch's body, due to reverse big bang! Yes, if you follow my logic, Luke's back in Asch's body. No, no, I don't like it very much either. Lorelei is pure 7th fonon, couldn't he, like, fix both of them? Lolerei is the true villain, guys. Wasn't Asch tragic enough, he doesn't get another chance? Are you happy, Jade?? ('cause you doesn't seem like it, what are you hiding, man, stop it-)
(Also, Asch just can't keep any promises smh)
I don't see it as Luke taking over Asch. Asch died before any of it. Luke was just... Lucky.
I'll see myself out. (lol)
That's it! A reminder this is only my understanding of the whole thing.
...I kinda want to check out the ending of the manga and anime now, but the manga isn't fully available on internet, it seems. :o I may add something here after I rewatch the anime hehe

i’m getting sad over asch’s entire character again. a young child robbed of his past, unable to return to his family and loved ones because he's been replaced. his future robbed as well because his replication means his lifespan is on a ticking clock that can't be stopped. he follows van's orders because van is his mentor. but even more than that, van was a father to him. even if he knew on some level that he was being used, what could he have done about it? he was a child. he was only a child. a child replaced by someone else, someone who took everything he had—no, everything he was. a child unwanted by the world. unwanted by prophecy. wanted only by one person. wanted so he could be used. where does a child place all those feelings?
the answer is simple: anger.
anger is the emotion that protects you. it's the emotion that loves you. that understands the hand you were dealt was unfair and unjust. anger was the substitute for the love asch had taken from him. anger became his new past. his future. the thing that swaddled him and raised him from a child to a young adult. and then he meets him, the one who'd taken everything from him, and he sees this pompous, haughty idiot who can't even accept that his actions have caused the deaths of thousands (something both understandable yet inexcusable given the full context of luke's character), yet still cowers in fear at the thought of taking a single life. this is the person who's taken it all from him. cowardly, foolish, and blindly following his—their—mentor. how dare he wear his face. how dare he say things when asch has become his shadow, when it should be the other way around.
anger becomes easy to project on him because luke is at fault for a lot of things in the first third of the plot. but then he grows. luke strives to become better. to become his own person. to grow farther from asch, yet still extending a hand of camaraderie towards him anyway. and what emotion does this elicit in asch? anger.
asch is a wonderful example of a static character whose perception by the audience changes regardless of his fixed personality. because the more we learn about him, the more we feel empathy and sorrow for him—and the more we see his flaws. anger is the part of asch that protected him when nothing else would. at first, he gets angry at luke because luke stole everything from him and doesn't even know how good he has it. he can't think for himself, he has no identity. and then he gets angry because luke changes—because he starts to become a person separate from asch, and asch has no more reason to be angry at him, except that he still IS because it's so much easier to project than to look inward. "how dare he live my life yet still be so incompetent" to "how dare he be my replica but want to be his own person" and you know what? asch is still sympathetic even though his immature mindset on things is flawed. because what else does he have now? neither of them can go back to the fabre residence. luke because of his self-hatred and guilt, and asch because that stopped being his home long ago (and also because he's on limited time, anyway).
asch's death really hit hard as a result of this. understanding his character and how he cares but doesn't know how to show it, how he lets his anger dictate how he interacts with his peers, including natalia. he's so lost, just as lost as luke is. but he can't bring himself to accept outside help like luke was able to. he dies entrusting it all to luke, not "despite never understanding him" but because he ended up knowing him all too well. because he and luke are mirror images of one another. because they've taken so much from each other. because they've given each other so much. because they're different people. because they're the same person. they reflect each other's karma—their wrongdoings and insecurities. their innermost worries and fears. asch can't stand the fact that luke seems so lost residing in the existence of the fon fabre heir because he can't stand the fact that he's lost as well.

My inner demons Christmas now??? WHAAAT? If it wasn’t noticeable, I’m on a Christmas grind rn-
So I looked up a prompt thingy and the first one I saw was Snow! This isn’t the confirmed list, but I wanted to do it, SOOO! Enjoy! :)
Tumblr media
It was the first day of Winter, officially at least. Ava sat in the apartment building, her eyes focused on the tv in front of her. Though in her mind, she questioned one thing. Where were the daemon boys? She assumed they were somewhere in the house, assumedly in their wall palace, or whatever they would consider it to be called. She held a calm look on her face, before she’d stand to her feet. Deciding in her head, even if she didn’t have anything to really talk to the boys about, she still wanted to explain what Christmas was to them. Of course, assuming they didn’t have Christmas back on Daemos. Which in a way would not surprise her at all.
Letting the blanket that had been around her shoulders fall onto the couch behind her, Ava would start to make her way towards the crayola door she had make about two months ago, remembering the threat she had given the boys if they didn’t use it as the entrance or the exit of their little wall home. Fixing her shirt and eventually due to the coldness of the apartment, taking the blanket back around her shoulders, she’d make her way back towards the “door” that separated the Daemos magic from her living room. Hopefully they weren’t gone, like they’d been planning. Would they really leave without a goodbye? She hoped not.
Walking through the wall, the temperature change felt nice, yet she still kept her blanket on. Four of the boys were speaking amongst themselves, like in a circle. If there were four there, where was the fifth? Looking around, her eyes landed on the fifth of the group. The only one who was a royal, sitting upon the throne that sat further up ahead. “Well, at least they’re all still here..” That was a plus. None of them left, like she thought they would. Fixing how she’d been standing, rather than her slouched and freezing figure, she looked between all the boys before speaking. “Hey guys-? I have a question.” Her voice had caught the attention of each boy, who had different expressions.
Noi had that cheerful smile, the supposed weakest of them all was practically a ball of sunshine whenever it would come to all of them. Ava liked that. Having someone who wasn’t like Lorealie with the energy, but still had a positive and outgoing personality to an extent. Pierce had the thin-lined lip like usual, but of course meant no harm with it. He had emotion, of course, but being a general soldier before becoming the knight of the prince was… interesting. His tone was always calm as well, unless someone would upset him or try to harm Ava. Rhys himself had a small smile, a kind one nonetheless. Rhys was more… smarter and the planner of the group. If you would ask Rhys to come up with a plan or idea, he’d most likely come up with one in less than ten minutes. Next was Leif. Now, with Leif, his moods depend on whether he's getting tired of something or not. For now, thankfully, he’s calm. Though, he does seem to have an RBF, so it’s difficult to decipher his emotion or the expression he wants to convey. Now for Asch, who sat high upon the throne, looking at the girl and his knights with a brow raised. Asch was the hot-tempered one, the one to ablaze in less than a minute. Raising his own brow, he’d speak up. “What is it, prisoner?”
Back to the prisoner thing. Ava hated it, especially when it was in public. But at least they all knew her name instead of calling her prisoner. Maybe this was just a habit? They had been calling her Princess Ava for a while now, which was… still a little funky, but who was she to say? Letting out a sigh as the four knights greeted her in their own ways, she’d ask her question with a sense of confusion. “Did you boys ever have snow on Daemos?” The sound of snow made a confused look now form on the daemos’s faces, their brow raising now. “...what?” Leif was the first to speak. So they didn’t have snow on Daemos. Now I have to actually introduce it to them. Yaaaay… Ava looked between all of them, running a hand through her hair before explaining. “Come on. It’s snowfall soon. I think you boys would like to see it.” She explained, turning to walk back out of the crayola door. The four would look at one another before Rhys spoke up, more so facing Asch. “Should we go, your highness?” He asked, tilting his head slightly with a confused look remaining on his face. It appeared that Asch debated it in his head, before standing to his feet and allowing his cape-like fabric to fall behind his shoulders and trail along. “I suppose. Perhaps this… snow.. Isn’t dangerous.” He mumbled aloud, following after him were the others.
Now, the ravenette would stand by the window, looking onto the streets as the clouds above would cover the sunlight. Well, what was left of it. The five boys would continue to hold their confused expressions, looking at the girl with their brows either raised or their head tilted. “What is going on? Why is it getting dark already?” Noi was the first to ask. It was only the early afternoon, around two. So why was it getting dark already? That made no sense to him. “Because of daylight savings or something. I’m not too sure on that, but it gets darker earlier during winter time.” Ava explained to the boy with salmon colored hair. “Well, where is this… snow?” Asch now asked, standing with his arms crossed and his usual rbf. “Hold on. I can’t control the weather, Asch.” Ava commented, looking at the boy. It wasn’t until Noi moved towards the window, watching the snowflakes that had now begun to fall from the clouds above. He watched with amazement in his eyes, almost like he was entirely intrigued. “Asch! Asch, look!” He called out, his eyes widened. The snow was falling at a gentle pace, much better than rain did. Rhys would stare out the window with a brow partially raised, such as Leif’s. “It looks… interesting.” He’d comment, going to stand besides Noi, as Pierce and Leif followed behind seconds later. “Can we eat it?” Pierce questioned, his head tilting now.
Ava looked at the boy with a confused expression at first, her head tilting slightly. “Well, it’s not really… opposed to? Most people would rather… not eat snow. Especially yellow snow. Do not ever eat yellow snow.” Ava spoke, looking back at Pierce. “Why?” Pierce would then ask, his brow raised and his expression now confused. Ava didn’t answer for a couple seconds, just letting out a sigh. “How about I take you guys outside so you can feel the snow and everything? You’ll just have to hide your horns.” Ava would explain, looking between them all. Noi’s eyes would light up with excitement, quickly nodding his head as he looked at Ava. “Oh,can we!? Can we please!” Noi enjoyed the outdoors. Really, he did. It was super nice outside during the summer, or whenever they had arrived on E-arth. Noi would look to Lief, who only gave a sigh in reply. He had magic, unlike the boy with salmon colored hair. “You all heard Princess Ava. Horns away.” Rhys spoke, using his magic to hide away his horns, so they could go outside. “And no powers out there either.”
With everyone’s horns hidden away, Ava would look between them all. Each had a different emotion, besides Pierce, who had his blank stare again. But that’s okay. “Alright. Now let’s go.” Ava spoke out, beginning to lead the way out now. When getting outside, Rhys was… cautious, moving from the little shield he had from the snow. “Woaaaaah!” Noi smiled wide as he looked around, allowing the snow to land in his hair and on his nose. Before he got struck with a snowball. “Ow-!” It was just a snowball, but it was funny to see the reactions. “Last one out has to cook somethin! Snowball fight!” Ava would laugh out, only letting out a yelp when Leif had made a snowball, throwing it towards her.

Daemos Headcanons
Tumblr decided this shouldn’t show up in the tags so I’m reposting it:
As of the start of the series, Noi is 22; Asch, Ava, & Leif are all 24 or thereabouts; Pierce is 26; and Rhys is 27.
Asch can and will breathe fire if he feels the extra intimidation factor is required. His breath almost always smells like smoke. Sometimes Asch will just exhale a puff of smoke when he’s really annoyed, but not angry enough to exhale flames.
Asch has to eat at least a little bit of wood/charcoal/coal every day as a kind of dietary supplement. Because of this, it’s not uncommon to find him chewing on a twig he found in Leif’s garden, or adding a piece of coal to his already blackened meal, or turning logs into charcoal for later consumption. He’s constantly digging through Leif’s garden for surplus twigs and sticks and it annoys Leif to no end because “YOU’RE BURNING THE FLOWERS ASCH STOP I USE THOSE TO MAKE MEDICINE” or “EVERYTHING WAS IN ORDER AND NOW YOU’VE RUINED IT DAMMIT ASCH”. Asch comes back every few days just to annoy Leif this way, and because it’s a good way to replenish his stock.
Asch can actually eat a lot of things that the others wouldn’t think to eat. The general rule of thumb is that if it burns, Asch can probably eat it.
Asch prefers his meals as crispy as possible. If they’re not to his liking, he burns it himself. When it comes to cooking, he could be really good at it… if he didn’t forgo the entire “flavor” aspect in favor of burning everything to a crisp. He’s been banned from messing around in the kitchen after he set fire to a glass of water. He finds that he enjoys sitting next to the oven when it’s on, and Ava still allows him to do that as long as the oven is actually being used to cook something.
Asch can suffocate rather easily compared to the others (Leif notwithstanding). It’s why he passed out when they first arrived on Earth—his flame was snuffed out by an inability to breathe. But once he adjusts, he’s mostly fine. Mostly. Asch really does not like dirt (or water) for similar reasons.
Asch Does Not Get Emotions.
To elaborate, Asch has difficulty in expressing himself sometimes. He has to be a leader, and a proper leader makes effective decisions without getting caught up in their emotions; so whatever he’s feeling gets bottled up until it explodes into an outburst, usually anger. He’s like Bakugou, in the sense that he really doesn’t know how to express anything other than anger, frustration, or annoyance, and can come off as really bratty because of it. Fortunately, both Noi and Pierce have known Asch for long enough to pick up on what he’s actually feeling, and Rhys has played mediator and manipulator for Asch enough times that he can usually discern what Asch is trying to convey. And Leif is constantly trying to find ways to antagonize Asch both as revenge for messing with his garden and as a way of getting Asch to let loose on whatever he’s bottled up. Occasionally, this goes too far, but overall their rivalry is the perfect outlet for Asch (and Leif).
In short, Asch can give very effective orders, but struggles to express his own feelings when he needs to, or find a proper outlet that isn’t BURN IT ALL TO DEATH
Before the spa episode, none of the other Daemos thought that Asch could laugh, except Noi (who’s known Asch the longest for reasons I’ll get into eventually). Noi hasn’t heard Asch laugh in a very long time, so he finds it really gratifying to hear it again.
Asch is of the mind that courting is supposed to be proper, and romantic, and that s//ex is neither romantic nor a valid way to court someone, mostly because of his upbringing and inexperience with s//ex in general. I’ll leave whether he’s demi- or asexual or not up to you guys.
Asch originally only sought to court Ava because she’s a “princess” which to Asch means “oh hey someone I could court without everyone disapproving of me.” Except then Asch finds that he genuinely likes Ava (after a lot of confusion as to what is going on with him), and he suddenly doesn’t know how to approach anything anymore??? He has a miniature crisis that Pierce and Rhys have to talk him through, much to his chagrin.
Asch also doesn’t always notice the connotations of his words and actions; he’s just not as clued into double entendres and innuendos as most other people. Taking off his clothes in front of Ava? Never even occurs to him that that could come across as sexual. I know this doesn’t make sense given Asch’s focus on living up to expectations, but Asch doesn’t really focus on emotional expectations so it works. Furthermore, his fixation on living up to expectations stems from the vast number of times he’s failed to do so due to his stunted ability to pick up on social cues. He just wants to be a good leader and not disappoint his mother, is that really too much to ask?
Noi is often the one tasked with finding coal, as his earth affinity and superior sense of smell (best in the group) makes him the most efficient at searching for things underground. He’s also the best at digging, closely followed by Pierce.
Noi can eat dirt, as well as most rocks and minerals, but he doesn’t necessarily have to. He usually has a few rocks on him at all times so he has something to chew on when he’s stressed. His room is essentially a rock collection half-buried in the dirt.
Rhys trying to get Noi struck by lightning or electrocuted, repeatedly, just to find out what would happen. When it actually happens, Noi’s primary affinity for earth and his secondary affinity for lightning means he’s completely fine, if rather hyper for the next hour. I feel like Noi should be able to consume electricity, but I’m not sure how yet. Does he stick his tail in an outlet? Who knows? Not Noi, that’s for sure.
Noi’s tail is whip thin, with barb-like hair on the end. This is unusual for earth affinity Daemos, who either have stiffer, more solidly-built tails, but makes perfect sense given Noi’s secondary affinity for lightning. He’s also pretty fast on his feet and really good at flanking, not as much as Leif but he’s up there.
Noi giggles a lot when he’s happy, and, as he discovers after the dinner date, when he’s crushing. Noi is actually pretty good at expressing himself, much to the frustration of Asch.
Noi may not always look like it, but, much like the earth constantly shifts beneath the surface, Noi’s emotions and thoughts are constantly shifting. Rhys is similar, except for him it’s more akin to his thoughts constantly moving like ocean currents, his mind always flowing underneath even if the surface is calm. Pierce has the whole “calm-outside-always-shifting-inside” but turned up to eleven. He spends so much time trying to get a handle on what’s going on inside that he often comes across as unemotive, or doesn’t always emote properly. It’s why he likes fights so much; he can just relax, go on autopilot, and let his worries fade away as he lies in the moment. All three of them are very much prone to self-doubt and anxiety.
Noi is the Emotional Support Daemos™. Having Noi around makes Asch happier than he’d like to admit, Pierce likes that Noi is sweet (and Noi is often the one who grounds Pierce, pun intended). Rhys finds that answering Noi’s questions about what he’s doing and why he’s doing it to be relaxing, and Leif picks on Noi as an outlet for his aggression and energy. Without Noi, the group would all be at each others’ throats within days.
Pierce can also eat rocks/dirt/minerals, but he does it less often than Noi. If he’s feeling really peeved at something Asch has done, then he’ll crunch on some rocks because he knows that Asch finds the sound annoying. And it’s a good way to work out his frustrations without having to worry about hurting someone.
Pierce has the best sense of hearing in the group, with Leif coming in at a close second. Usually, earth affinity Daemos hear best through vibrations in the ground, similar to snakes, and Pierce is no exception; but he’s also very good at hearing the other way, like a bat. A batsnake. Snakebat? Snat? Bake? Eh, I’m sure something like that exists on Daemos. If not, then it should.
Pierce worries the most out of the group; it’s his job to protect Asch (and everyone else), and the constant shifting of his thoughts and feelings often makes for very reckless decisions. Whenever Asch feels Pierce is overdoing it, he’ll loudly complain about “not needing a nanny, I’m a grown-ass Daemos for Htrae’s sake, go do something else with you time” which in Asch-speak essentially translates to “take a day off before you kill yourself, idiot.” When this happens, Pierce usually spends time training (unless Asch tells him not to), hanging around Noi to feel grounded, or letting Rhys ramble about his theories to distract himself from his worries.
Pierce is the best cook of the group, though this is mostly by default. Asch burns everything, Noi either adds too much salt or too much sugar, Rhys doesn’t even cook, and Leif puts together the most outlandish combinations he can think of just to annoy the others. But Pierce, through hard work and experimentation, does become really good at cooking. Leif still insists on trying everything first.
Both Noi and Pierce feel safer in confined, dark spaces than they do in open, bright areas. They are the only ones who feel this way. Pierce prefers that the hole be at least a little damp, too, because of his water affinity, while Noi is fine as long as it’s not too hot or cold.
Noi and Pierce also very much enjoy mud baths. Or just relaxing in a pool of mud. Pierce enjoys it more than Noi, but it’s the one thing that they really like to do together when the others are getting annoying.
Earth Daemos are more physically affectionate than other Daemos, so it’s not unusual to find Noi leaning against Pierce or Pierce just carrying Noi (and others) around.
Rhys can drink salt water without getting dehydrated. Pierce can too, but not to the extent that Rhys can. Rhys actually has this natural aura to him that purifies nearby water; it’s why he’s fine sitting at the bottom of a chlorinated pool for hours instead of his gills getting burned up.
Yes, Rhys has gills. Pierce has a set of his own, too. They only function underwater, and can get sliced up very easily in a fight, but it’s a trait that all water affinity Daemos have.
Rhys can actually tell whether or not a body of water would be safe to drink from by touch alone; he’s got the best sense of touch amongst the group. He always likes to double check his observations, due to a need to be thorough and his own self-doubt.
Rhys finds that he loves not just ice cream, but most other cold foods as well; this is mostly due to his ice affinity. He’s found that sucking/chewing on ice cubes helps him to focus, so it’s not uncommon to find him doing just that if he’s working on a particularly difficult problem.
Rhys will bury himself in his quest for knowledge if there’s a problem he doesn’t want, or doesn’t feel capable enough, to tackle. And to distract from his anxieties and worries of “am I doing it right? Will my actions now cause suffering down the road? What will I do if I fail?” and the like. There are times when he’ll just meditate in cold water to clear his head, especially when he gets overwhelmed; Ava later introduces Rhys to yoga, which he finds relaxing as well.
Rhys is the most flexible of the group. Almost to a disturbing degree.
Rhys’ tail is very long and supple, and has a tendency to coil around whatever it can reach. This annoys Rhys to no end, but he likes his tail too much to get rid of it, so he finds ways to deal with it.
Leif has a profound resistance to most toxins, and an exceptional sense of taste. He can usually determine the properties of a plant—even one he’s never seen before—just by chewing on it. Not that he doesn’t double check, or use other methods to find things he might have missed, it’s just that chewing on a random plant sample is his go-to method in almost every situation.
Heck, plants aren’t the only thing! Leif has developed a habit of using his tongue to make sure his blades are clean, and he can identify the properties of a soil sample with his mouth, too. He’s just got a really well-developed palate. And a tendency to stick random things in his mouth if he can’t tell what it is. He was always the one to taste test Asch’s food to ensure that the meal isn’t poisoned back on Daemos, and he’ll happily steal a piece of food from Ava with that as his excuse now.
Leif’s first instinct when he encounters something he’s never seen is to taste it; he just takes a sample to chew on. The number of times Ava has had to distract Leif with a piece of gum just so she can get whatever piece of plastic he’s chewing on this time is innumerable. It gets to the point where Ava just always has gum on her for just that reason.
When it comes to anything plant-based, Leif is your guy. Poisons, medicines, it’s all just a matter of what plants he needs to use and what he needs to do with them. He often carries around a mortar and pestle, just in case he needs to make some emergency medicine. His favorite way to annoy Rhys and Asch when he does that is to pretend to have ground the plants in his mouth, because it grosses them both out.
Leif really likes to antagonize others, which is unusual for a plant affinity Daemos. He has a secondary affinity for wind (not that he knows this), but that’s only part of the cause. The other part is that Leif views kindness as a weakness, and it’s a force of habit for him to pick on anyone he can. It gets worse on Earth, due to the massive amount of freetime the Daemos have there. Ava helps him create a second garden by the window, and it helps a little, but that still gives Leif so much extra time with nothing to do but bug the others.
Ava’s first solution to Leif’s restlessness was to get him a toy to fidget with, but that ended almost immediately when he proved how destructive a bouncy ball can be. In the end, the solution that worked was to just put a plant in almost every available space in Ava’s apartment, giving Leif a lot more to do and acting as a ward against wanton destruction of the apartment.
Leif eventually gets his bouncy ball back. He still wants to weaponize it.
I should probably mention Leif’s secondary affinity for wind. He has no idea he has it, and Rhys really only suspects that Leif has it. Wind affinity Daemos aren’t all that common (wind is caused by unequal heating of the atmosphere due to the sun, and the sun isn’t really a thing in Daemos, so…), but they do have certain traits and abilities unique to them. Leif is very fast and stealthy, has a more flighty sense of duty than the others, and can go from thinking things through to “I’m going to do this dumb thing because I felt like it” in an instant. He’s always full of energy, like Noi, and acts more on his own whims and desires than anything else. He can’t focus on anything besides his passions for very long before he becomes bored. Leif is also the most likely to survive a fall from a high-altitude, and can jump the highest. He’s rather light for his height.
As always, feel free to add your own stuff!

Please I want to know more about your clones 🤔🤔
I am so late to responding to this but GLADLY!! I love gushing about them though I have so many (like 50 I think) so I will try to stick to my main group ahh :)
Cross (he/him): Cross was my first clone OC ever, so he holds a very special place in my heart even if I do not draw him often enough. He’s a commander (CC-0044) and was present on Geonosis, though later returned to Kamino to help Alpha with the CC training program.
He got his scar in 21BBY and it’s actually not from the battlefield (none of his scars are actually from the battlefield). The scar comes from being whipped by a lightsaber hilt, which sounds funny out of context, but it wasn’t an accident.
He’s batchmates with @katanrocksketches ‘s OC Asch! The two were pretty close when they were in training, and Cross got his name before leaving Kamino. It was given to him because of his kind of uhhh, “cross nature” or disposition pfft. He softens up a bit between 22BBY-20BBY though the walls go up again after that :’)
Coming off Kamino, he was a stickler for rules and was not a big fan of clones tattooing themselves/dying their hair and whatnot (he didn’t even like having a name at first though his batchmates used it enough that it begrudgingly stuck). After meeting Sunny though, he lets him do one tattoo and ends up getting his number underneath his left eye. It is like, staying to how he believes they should be while also accepting that it’s ok to be individual.
Cross’s favorite color is red because for him, red represents Ando (my Padawan OC) and they are very close (NOT IN A ROMANTIC WAY. He sees Ando as his little brother or kih’vod to protect).
Cross actually does not know a lot of Mando’a because of his belief that they should not try to be seen as individuals. He distanced himself from anything that he considered “individualization”, and Mando’a was included in that. Sunny teaches him a little bit later down the line, and Ando also teaches him and Ten (another clone OC of mine) some Togruti, too
Part of Cross’s strict disposition comes from being subject to Priest’s death circles on more than one occasion (I might retcon that to Adral—a mando OC of mine—because I hate KT Ugh).
By the end of the war, he carries a lot of guilt. He loses a lot of the people he’s closest to because of his actions/orders, and he uh. Doesn’t live past O66 :’) he does get a very quick.. redemption.. arc.. kinda..
Sunny (he/him): Sunny was my second clone OC made around the same time as Cross, and he also holds a very special place in my heart :) I really love clone medics, there is just something about them that makes my brain go brrrr. I also think the irony of his name is great
Sunny’s name was originally Sers, but after writing him for a few weeks, I changed it because I thought Sunny fit better. His name was given to him by his batchmate, Aran, and while he vehemently protested against it, the name ended up sticking. He won’t admit that he actually likes it (though the tattoo and painting of his armor say otherwise anyway)
Sunny is the CMO of the 409th Corps (my OC military group basically). He’s a Lieutenant (or at a rank around there, definitely a CO at the least) and he does not back down. Ever. Even the people who outrank him will fall into line if he tells them to, Jedi included. He is not afraid to pull rank as a Medic, and his resting bitch face can be very scary
On the same line of thought as the rbf, he is basically perpetually scowling. He does not look approachable at all
Sunny loses the entirety of his batch on Geonosis, including Aran who he holds onto while he is dying. The Jedi leading Sunny’s company was.. not accustomed to war and failed to adapt when it was needed. Because of this, Sunny doesn’t necessarily harbor a dislike of Jedi, though he does not really trust many of them in leading positions. He also does not like that there are kids being put in the role of commander, he does see many Padawan deaths (he later comforts a dying Padawan that he was close to, I think I wrote part of that scene for myself and it was kinda upsetting oof) —> he gets his tattoo/paints his armor in order to honor his dead batchmates
Throughout the war, Sunny gets seriously injured only once after going down in an LAAT (where he nearly ends up dying too). Boost finds him, though he’s kinda accepted that he’s not gonna make it (I mean he does but it doesn’t look like he will for a bit). After Flip (younger clone OC) dies, he doesn’t really care if he kicks the bucket either :’)
Sunny is the only one out of my main gang to make it past O66. His chip doesn’t work at all, though he has to fight through his brothers (aha, the only ones who are still alive that he is close with) in order to save a Jedi youngling that was in the medbay at the time. After that, he goes on the run with the kid (clone dad clone dad) and offers his services as a doctor in the outer rim in order to keep them afloat
Boost (he/him) (she/her) [either or, there is no real preference]: Boost has gone through a lot of changes design wise. He started out as Dax, but then Dax became another OC, then she was Boost, though she had kinda short hair that was pushed back by a headband, then his hair was buzzed, and now we are finally at long hair Boost. Idk how to describe, but she is very shaped I think
Boost for his nickname from bear hugging his batchmates and lifting them off the ground when doing so. Also from fucking around in training where he threw another one of his batchmates in order to get from one ledge to another. All around just a name with silly origins that she liked and decided to keep
Boost and Sol are batchmates!
Boost is very tactically intelligent. She’s good at thinking on her feet, sees the bigger picture before focusing on details, good problem solver, etc. He is an ARC after all, there is good reason for his status and rank as a Lieutenant. That being said, he can also be very very stupid in the sense that off the battlefield, he’s oblivious. He does enjoy being the jokester of the group, and he sometimes plays up his dumbassery for jest, though yeah, a lot of people assume that he is not smart because of his demeanor which is very wrong
Boost is terrible. Terrible at braiding her hair. Sol is the best at braiding it, though she would never admit that even if everyone knows it. He started growing his hair out once they were off Kamino and hasn’t stopped since despite the fact that is technically not within regulations. Cross turns a blind eye and Ko (Jedi General) could not care less for inconsequential regulations like that
Boost is really good with kids, but good in the way a uhh.. chaotic uncle/auntie is. He’s a lot of fun to be around with, and being around kids makes him even more rambunctious than usual. He can be what is considered “childish”, pulling pranks and everything but like, he is very emotionally mature and knows when to be serious. Again, a lot of people kinda just boil her down to “dumb” which is really wrong, though it doesn’t bug him a lot.
Boost has a big sweet tooth!! He loves getting sweets when they’re on Coruscant, which they actually tend to visit frequently enough because of Ko’s status as a Sentinel (and also because Ko benefits what the Republic sees as the “propaganda machine” as a prominent General with a good track record).
Boost is romantically involved with @buttsalsa ‘s civilian OC Esta. I reblogged some art of them the other day, they are very cute :D
Boost doesn’t make it to Order 66 :’) I actually wrote out his death and cried after going back to read it LMAO It was rough
Sol (he/him): Sol was made as a package deal with Boost, and I feel bad because I think he gets overshadowed a lot but he is kinda like the rock for the group. When he dies, things really start to crumble but uh!! That is a sad thought for another time. Anyways, like I said, he is basically the rock and also a voice of reason for Boost’s shenanigans
Sol got his nickname after reading through some flimsi that their trainer had given him. He didn’t know if it had any meaning, but he liked the way it sounded and immediately began using it. Boost quickly picked up on it and the rest of their batch was very supportive
Sol loves reading. He specifically likes reading history, and Ando slips him what he can (fun fact, when Sol dies, Boost returns to their bunk to find a couple of holobooks that Ando had left and breaks down aha.. pain). Whenever he doesn’t feel like keeping Boost from causing trouble, he just sits in a quiet corner and reads his books while everything erupts in chaos around him
Sol’s favorite beverage is tea which Ko introduced him to. He has a few boxes he keeps with him when he can, and he shares them with Boost sometimes though he has to add a lot of sugar/honey in order to do that. If he could drink tea all the time, he could. On the flipside, he absolutely loathes coffee and doesn’t understand how Sunny can drink multiple cups on a day
Sol is kinda like the person that everyone is friends with even if they don’t realize it. He’s like.. the perfect emotional pillar, kinda the therapist friend in a group that desperately needs therapy. He’s more of a listener than a talker which is why it’s easy to overlook him, but he insists that he doesn’t mind much. That being said, it’s only once he’s gone that people start to realize just how much he did (aside from Boost who already thought the world of him)
Sol is also an ARC trooper, having gone through the training program together with Boost. He doesn’t have the same tactical knowledge that Boost does, but he’s good at mediating, long range combat, and also working through plans (he’s pretty meticulous). He and Boost balance each other out well, since he is like the “slow and steady” one out of them.
Sol is the first to go out of the main four (second out of my bigger group of six). He and his entire platoon are wiped out in a massacre as a result of false intel.. man :’)
Anyways, thank you for enabling to ramble about my ocs ToT I honestly just needed to infodump shdjf

Tales of the Abyss part 21
Shoving this all under again
Tumblr media
Woah, we really DID fall... somewhere, with the entire village in tow. And is that all miasma? Oh dear.
Aaaaand now the fallout because Luke will be blamed, I see it coming.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
After everything that happened, we could stand for the party to be upfront with each other for once. Jade I'm also looking at you here.
I guess Tear hails from around here? Is that possible? I would have thought it's not living area, but when there is a city, it's possible.
Tumblr media
I think Luke has firmly hit grief-stage "DENIAL" right now.
Tumblr media
Woah. So the entire world we saw right now is just the outer layer, and it's floating atop the Sephiroths? That's insane. Very creativ world building! Now how do we get out again
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
ARE YOU KIDDING ME -
*deep breath* Okay. Okay.
I will say that the party is in a very difficult, emotional spot right now. They ALL failed to stop the disaster. They just saw an entire town vanish while they were in it - including the little boy they couldn't save after the fall, who sank. So they all feel terrible, and guilty and powerless.
And Luke is an easy scapegoat, because he IS the one who used the power to destroy the pillar. BUT. Tear - knew your brother couldn't be trusted when this story began. You tried to kill him, I will say that so often I get sick of it. And STILL you withheld information, did let Luke spend time alone with him, and never once explained what is going on, or what you suspect Van of.
Jade - knew what was going on with the replicas the entire time, knew that Luke was being kept in the dark and could be controlled by Asch, and you still kept your mouth shut about it all the entire time.
Ion - basically the same thing as Jade, since in Deo Pass, he confirms to knowing about the replica thing and even stops Jade from saying it. Also, he opened the door for Van DESPITE the fact that the entire party does not fully trust Van, and pointing out himself that the door has nothing to do with saving the citizens.
Natalia - knew that Van and Luke were conspiring with something, and yes, pinky swear yadda yadda, but that does not stop the fact that she never stopped to question Luke on why he wanted to run away, what was the plan, or tell the party about it all.
Guy - you know that Luke is different, you know that he can be controlled, you know what's going on with Sync, and still you said nothing. You never stepped up when Luke was acting irrational, only ever told the party that "maybe we should do something" but never did.
So basically, yes. Luke was manipulated into destroying the pillar, which caused the catastrophe. And it's no good that he pushes that blame away entirely, he needs to face that. But I say firmly he was manipulated - a manipulation seven years in the making since that is how long Van has been influencing him into trusting him and doing as he says. Luke is as much victim here as the rest. And to add onto that, the entire PARTY has made terrible mistakes all along the road, mistakes which very well could have been the decisive thing in why this has happened, and how this could have been stopped.
Nobody here is innocent - the most innocent one probably being Anise and Mieu.
I think they are all so ladden down guilt themselves, they welcome the opportunity to push it off.
Tumblr media
huh Asch is here too? I thought van took him with.
Tumblr media
Not going to fall into another rant, no, nope, uhuh.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Sorry, is this a bad time to celebrate that my clone theory was right? Yes? I TOLD YOU ALL IT'S A 3D PRINTER
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Uh, what? Excuse me?!
Are we Asch now?!

Sync’s list of his thoughts on the God-Generals plus of few characters from Abyss
God-Generals!
Largo: He only has respect for Largo. They work well together and Largo was the one who trained him after he joined. To Sync, Largo is the ideal coworker.
Legretta: Respects her but nowhere near Van and Largo. He’ll listen to her orders. However he questions why she feels the way she does towards Van. Sync knows she’s being used too-
Everyone below he hates working with. In no order, he wants them all dead-
Arietta: He hates hearing about Ion and has a hard time following orders, but her monsters are handy. That’s the only upside. Her monsters are useful, not her. He is a little jealous of her ignorance. She doesn’t know she’d being used, she doesn’t know anything. He thinks that it must be nice believing other people are honest.
Asch: Doesn’t follow his orders and when he gets mad it only get worse. The only upside to having him on the team is that he is useful in dealing out damage though Largo is superior in that regard. To Sync, his life would be easier if Asch was dead. Deep down, he’s jealous as well, that Van favors him. They’re alike in the regard that the score ruined their lives but, Sync finds Asch foolish for being too stubborn to fix it.
Dist: Dist is annoying and he wants the roach to die a horrible and painful death. He can’t wait for the orders to get rid of him.
Other Characters/Verses
Van: Now.. this is a tricky one, thats why I tackle it first. He holds respect for his Master, but that is all. In the end, he follows Van for his own reasons. So long as Van can destroy the score and the world, Sync will follow. And while he may Respect Van, deep down, Sync absolutely hates Van with every inch of himself. It’s Van who fucked him up and it’s Van who keeps him alive. A twisted relation for two very twisted characters.
Ion(7th): He hates him. Sync hates Ion more than anyone else. He’s jealous and resentful and I really could write an essay on how Sync feels about the seventh and Not a SINGLE word would be positive.
Florian (6th): This is solely headcanon based and from the lovely interactions I’ve had with a Florian, shout out to Asche for that~  To Sync, Florian is someone he kinda cares about. In his own little weird way. Like an annoying little brother that he wants to protect. Sync feels a kinship as they were both thrown away at birth, he is a little jealous that despite that, Florian is happy while Sync is in despair. But he cares. Florain fulfills his want to protect someone, it makes him feel like he has a spot, even if it’s just among other replicas.
Etude (4th): Shout out to my lovely Yuki for writing this lovely little Fon Master Replica! Sync feels he can be honest with Etude in a way he can’t with others. They both lack Empathy so he doesn’t feel judged. He also knows how fake Etude can be at times. Outside of that, they have a fun little interaction~ Sync tends to act older and accidently act as the sort of older brother even though Etude is older. Sync feels comfortable being himself around Etude.
Anise: He doesn’t care about her. In the end, she’s just entertainment.
Asch: This is only with Asche’s Asch. But oh boy- Does Sync got some emotions. Asch and Sync are a lot alike and that’s part of why they bicker and hate each other. But, hate and love are a lot alike. While Sync doesn’t think he’s capable of it, he started caring, wanting, and it scares him a lot. With Asch he can complain when he doesn’t like someone, he feels free to be a person and not a solider. And when Asch opens up to him, he feels he has a spot in a world he hates. Asch is special to him.

Blogpost 10 Wearables or mini "stalkers" (Yeo Yoke Peng)
In this week’s reading by Crawford, Lingel and Karppi, the controversial issues revolving around the recent proliferation of wearable self-tracking devices was very thought provoking and relevant to today’s content. In Singapore, the government is trying to promote healthy living by coming up with fitness programs to help Singaporeans tackle the WFH weight gain. The health promotion board (HPB) has collaborated with Fitbit to come up with Live Healthy SG, which is similar to National Steps Challenge but with a Fitbit instead of a brandless steps tracking. When individuals are paired with a Fitbit, it will act like a personal trainer on your wrist. You can get access to personalised health/fitness insights and fitness programmes customised to your lifestyle. Supposedly, this facilitates the process of helping you achieve better outcomes in the areas of physical activity, sleep, nutrition and emotional wellbeing. However, the only caveat that instigated upheavals in HPB’s attempt at advocating healthy living is the fact that individuals’ data will be shared with HPB. Many felt that the sharing of data will infringe on their privacy, hence they felt their rights were violated or the government came up with a cunning scheme to keep people in check in the guise of “healthy living”.
Other than Singapore, and on a global scale, the increased presence of wearables in the market is not conjectural. In the past three years, there has been a 500% increase in the number of fitness bands and activity trackers sold (Danova, 2014). According to Transparency Market Research, in its emerging stages, the wearable technology market was $750 million in 2012 and is expected to reach $5.8 billion in 2018, a 40.8% compound annual growth rate (Latest Trend in the Wearable Technology Industry, 2015). It is clear that wearables represent a major step in the penetration of healthcare technology. These devices allow users to track their daily activities and fitness progressions. Sleep patterns, calories burned, and steps taken can all be tracked and recorded by the device and parent digital health company without any action by the user; however, this convenience does not come without a price. A decentralised legal framework underlying wearable health technology allows for its greater exploitation by parent digital health technology companies and employers.
Wearables generate vast amounts of user health data by continuously monitoring and storing information about the user. The information is then wirelessly transmitted to a mobile app, which then sends the data through a cloud operating system to be further stored and analysed (Patel,2015). In many respects, those data’s value is based on their potential to be used for the greater good, such as disease prevention. From a commercial perspective, marketers want these data to gain insight into individual preferences as a means of offering personally targeted products (Langley, 2015). In some situations, these goals are obtained with the use of continuously generated patient health data, such as blood pressure measurements to personalise and tailor interventions for people with hypertension.
However, abuse and misuse of this health data also occurs in the industry. “According to Federal Trade Commission (FTC) findings, health apps are in fact transmitting sensitive health information to third parties. Previously in 2014, FTC released a study, which found that twelve different health and fitness apps transmitted user data to seventy-six different third parties, including advertisers” (Federal Trade Commission, 2014). The data transmitted encompassed a wide range of metrics and information including exercise routines, dietary habits, and symptom searches. In addition, i was very shocked to find out that in a subset of cases, “even names and addresses were being transmitted” (Scelsi, 2015). Hence, this study adequately showed that wearable health data privacy concerns are legitimate.
In terms of employee and insurance discrimination, certain American companies accumulate data points on employees, they face impactful decisions based on undisclosed personal health data ( Patel, 2015). For example, an employee could be penalised for having a relatively inactive week and subsequently be deemed a health risk by an insurance provider, thereby having to pay higher premiums (Langley, 2015).  In addition, certain companies might even judge their lifestyle and this affects whether they could get promoted or not. It is indelibly intimidating to know that this tiny devices captures so much data and are being exploited without our consent. I guess i will be thinking twice before i use a fitbit or an Apple watch from now on...

Drunk MID
So I’ve seen this before, which made me think of how I might see the characters as drunk. I’m not used to being around drunk people, my parents drink maybe twice a year at best and both are happy-go lucky drunks so knowledge is limited! Asch: Strangely enough, he calms down. It’s not a bad way to get information from him, or to have feelings talk because he’s much more open. Until he decides he doesn’t want to talk anymore, and explodes worse than if he was sober. RIP Ava’s house.  Noi: Happy go lucky! Like a little kid on a crack laced sugar high everything is GREAT everything is HAPPY everything must be TOUCHED AND NO HE WILL NOT SIT DOWN AND HAVE SOME WATER HE MUST RUN.  Pierce: Opposite of Noi, he slows down even more somehow. He will however latch onto anything, or anyone that he likes to cuddle and pet. Good luck getting away from him unless a new victim strays too close.  Leif: Gloomy drunk. His walls break down leaving him emotional, enjoys Pierce’s affection. He HATES this. However he is also too competitive to let everyone else drink while he’s too much of a ‘coward’ and always ends up drunk too.  Rhys: Does not drink. He may have a glass, or two if with his fellow guards/Lady Grandma, but he will not get drunk. Depending on his mood if asked you will either get a long rant about the effects and dangers of consuming alcohol or he will simply state he doesn’t like the taste.  Ava: Has not gotten drunk, so no one really knows. It’s not that she won’t, she’s not as ‘good’ as her fathers like to believe, she’s scared to be like leif. An emotionally vulnerable drunk. She spends a lot of time hiding from her own feelings, and worries getting drunk will bring them all to light whether she likes it or not.  Bonus Lorelei: Aggressively happy go lucky. She will physically drag you to a party because it’s going to be FUN and so you have to be there and she will not be taking no for an answer. Little dopey, just wants to have fun and by god she will make sure you have fun too if she has to take over this entire party herself.

Volkerball Liveblog.(Part 1)
Reise Reise.
I wonder how it feels to walk down that corridor and step on to the stage. It must be terrifying and magical, even after all this time.
The Hol Weg chant is so atmospheric.  It’s the perfect opener together with that curtain falling. The crowd’s energy level goes to 11 the second that falls.
Till looks, and I hesitate to use the word when describing him, absolutely monstrous and huge here and that is clearly what they’re aiming for. He’s so commanding and sinister. Just utterly mesmerising.
I love Richard’s little twirls here. It makes him look like a six year old trying on a new dress and it’s very endearing.
Till’s stage fright is showing already. I want to hug him.
This is still one of my favourite Rammstein songs and my favourite of their stage outfits. They’ve never looked better.
Links 234
I love Schneider’s gestures here. He looks as though he has fun with this one.
Paris has ruined me because I keep expecting to see a butterfly come out of his mouth.
Schneider’s arms. I need a cold shower.
Richard plays like he’s having an orgasm. After that guitar solo the crowd definitely are.
I love it when Till absolutely roars that note on Links. I don’t know who we’re fighting but I’m ready to join the Rammstein army. Sign me up now.
Keine Lust
Why do I find it so hot when Till spits and sprays water everywhere? If anyone else did that I’d be like Eww gross. When he does it I practically want to bathe in it.
I love the way he bends and rises in time to the music at the start. He looks so huge and powerful. This is definitely peak Till for me. Muscular with a good bit of chub  He’s a literal man mountain here and I am living for it.
They really should headbang together more often. I can’t get enough of it.
Feuer Frei
They had better put this song back on the setlist.
Holy shit. Till’s arms
Poor Flake. No wonder he finally snapped and took Till out with that Segway.
The look of utter adoration on that woman’s face. I feel her.
I wonder if Flake has ever considered trying out the dragon masks, or wanted to?
When he’s just standing there with the dragon mask on with his hands behind his back, he’s so incredibly imposing. Yet you can see how uncomfortable he is that he has to just stand there.
Asche zu Asche
Richard’s ass lions have made my day. Please bring them back.
You can definitely hear that Till was sick when this was recorded. His voice was busted but he still sounds great and I love the extra growl in his vocals
Half of this is me fangirling over Till and the other half is me fretting over how anxious he obviously is.
Schneider’s energy is incredible.
Oli sounds so good here. I mean he’s amazing generally but the bassline in here is just perfect.
The burning microphones scare me. I’m always worried that Richard and Paul will burn their pretty little mouths. They’re a great effect though.
This is on of my favourite concert moments ever. Till’s extended Ich komm Wieder here. I could listen to a ten hour loop of this. It’s magical the way he just lets his voice soar and the sheer emotion in his face makes it even better.

For the Abandoned AU, the others coming back to Earth and finding out Pierce isn't dead? Give me it ALL
Before I answer this, I’m gonna say this. For this part, I got a little help from my friend @razzle-zazzle when writing it. But here’s a basic idea/draft of what happens:
Eventually, a few years later Pierce is basically a normal human now that he's adjusted to the customs and culture, he lives with Ava and is basically the big brother she never had. He manages to explain what happened and where he came from exactly, although Ava has a hard time accepting it at first she manages. Then cut to them traveling to Earth, it goes exactly the same way except Ava's apartment is slightly different and bigger due to two people now living in it. It has some ceramic stuff made around the house along with a sort of new style and more food.
Pierce does have a job, he manages, while Ava is trying to get a job to help with rent and food.
So everything happens as it normally does, Johnny brings them to Ava's apartment and they wait for her to wake up. Noi decides to look around Ava's apartment(the living room) and looks at the pictures but one catches his eye; it's Ava with someone else who looks exactly like Pierce in it, he takes it and starts to walk to the others and says "Um, guys? I think you might wanna have a look at this-" Before he can fully reach them Ava wakes up and starts screaming, someone tries to quiet her but no one can.
The door to the apartment quickly opens and slams shut, and now Pierce enters the scene, horns have gone by magic, in his human clothes(except slightly different), carrying a bag of groceries(you gotta go shopping) and slightly panicked because Ava was yelling. He enters in with a panicked look on his face and turns the corner saying "Ava! Are you okay? I heard you..."Ava reaches towards him and says "Pierce HELP! These weird horn guYS INVADED OUR APARTMENT!"
However he recognizes them clearly, their Daemos, the exact Daemos he called his team, that he even managed to call his friends, a group of Daemos that in the past he would have risked his life for them to be safe, however, not now. He drops the grocery bag he was carrying, he's mostly shocked but there are many more emotions he's feeling at this point. Why are they here now, did they come back for him, but why now? So many questions he wanted answers for, for so long and so many emotions and memories flooding back into his system.
He thinks it's all his imagination until he hears Noi say: "P i e r c e ? . . ."
But besides that, once he hears that voice of someone who he wished to forget, the voice he could remember so that way he knows that this isn't his imagination; this is real-life baby. Everything goes silent everyone is trying to process it in their own way.
Pierce is overwhelmed, why is this happening? Why are they here? How are they here? Why now? Why is this so complicated? What about Ava? What are they going to do to her? What are they going to do with him?
Noi is about to cry, he runs and hugs him, they both fall to the floor. Noi hopes for everything he'll get a hug back, any sort of response but no, nothing. It's just not the same anymore, he starts to sob, why isn't he responding back like he used too?
Asch is confused at the sudden onslaught of emotions forced onto him, he's mad and sad but also confused. Why is he here? Why specifically here? Why does it hurt to see him again?
Leif is kind of confused, his memory isn't the best so the sudden emotions put onto him and the name and memories don't make sense. Why does he feel like this? What are these memories?
Rhys is the most confused, especially with the scenario he was given; he though Pierce was dead or ran away, but instead, he's here on Earth. Why? Why Earth? Has he been here all along? Why was he sent here specifically?
And Ava is concerned. How does he know them? Are these the people he mentioned before in his past? Should she trust them? Why are they here now? What do they want with them? Is she safe, is he safe, are either of them safe? She can't trust them.
Eventually, Rhys introduces themselves and suggests they catch up on a few things since this was an unplanned meeting. Or how this actually happened and what's been going on since the disappearance. The groceries do get put up though. They eventually gather into a group circle on the floor, Ava doesn't let anyone sit that close to Pierce and make sure he gets his space, they both get their space, she doesn't trust them. There's no place to start so Ava tries to start from where she found him on Earth, it's confusing.
Then when Ava is trying to explain what happened on Earth and where she found him her phone suddenly rings, it's Lorelai calling her asking her where she is, they were supposed to get lunch and talk about everything that she missed, to catch up. Ava realizes that she and Pierce were supposed to go meet up with Lorelai that day, and Ava forgot.
Fuck-
But then she notices, this is a good way to escape theses boys, get answers, get a break and be there to comfort her friend. So, she excuses herself for a moment to go answer the call, telling Lorelai they'll be right they just got a little held up with things. Ava comes back to silence, an awkward silence, at least no fights broke out.
She somehow gets herself and Pierce out of the apartment and away from the other Daemos.
