Arizer just released the new Arizer Solo 2 MAX featuring an upgraded USB-C charging system, an auto-inverting display for use with water pieces and "Dark Mode" which limits the information and brightness on the display for use in dark scenarios.
Check out my Arizer Solo 2 Max Vaporizer review for more info and hit me up with any questions.
The Solo 2 is still for sale and I imagine they will be reducing price a bit. I'm guessing it will be drastically reduced for 420 this year.

Arizer Solo 2 Max Review
I just got the Arizer Solo 2 MAX and wanted to share my review with you guys. I've only had a short time, but I've been using Arizers since the original one and also own the Air MAX, Venty, and many others.
This is a short version of my in-depth review as published on my website.
Disclosure: Arizer sent me the review unit for free. Links are affiliate links, thanks for supporting.
Pricing: The Arizer Solo MAX will retail for $270 starting February 15th, 2024, and coupon code TVG20 will save you 20% at arizer.com
Design
The Solo 2 MAX follows the same design lines as the outgoing Solo 2 and is practically identical in size and shape. The Solo 2 is not the most subtle and discreet unit, especially with the stem inserted. It is large and hefty, and while it is technically portable, it is better suited for home use.Â
Glass Stems
The Solo 2 MAX features Arizer's signature glass stem design, where the herb is loaded directly into the stem. The stem has a little glass cup with a screen that has four holes. These are pretty large, so if you use a fine grind, you may need to use the included screen to prevent small particles from getting through. If you're using a coarse grind, you should be okay without the screens.Â
It fits around .2 gr of flower and shouldn't be packed too tight. You want it tight enough so that if you wiggle the stem, nothing falls out, but not tighter than that as it may restrict the airflow. Keep the herb around a millimeter under the lip, and don't overfill.Â
Best temp
The temperature range is 122-428°F, so you can really get a spectrum of flavors. I like to start my sessions at around 370°F and increase by around 10 degrees every couple of minutes to get a better extraction. It heats up in around 20 seconds, and you can set a custom session duration.Â
Use it as an "on-demand" vape
The Solo is a session vape that uses a hybrid convection/conduction heating system. But, I also found a non-traditional way to turn it into a pure "on-demand" vaporizer- You can turn it on and let it heat up to temp without the stem inserted, then insert the stem when it's hot, take a hit, pull the stem out, and cover it with the silicone cap. Once you remove the stem from the chamber, you remove it from the heat source, effectively making the Solo 2 MAX a convection on-demand style vaporizer.Â
This method is also great if you want to microdose and have one hit at a time without wasting an entire bowl.
14mm Adapter
The kit also includes a frosted glass stem that looks the same on the end that sits in the chamber, but the other end is a 14mm WPA, which can connect to an existing rig. The display will flip and stay upright even when the vape is inverted.Â
Zero maintenance design
The glass stem system of Arizers vapes has a few advantages.Â
The biggest one is their ease of use and low maintenance and cleaning requirements. Since the glass is the only part that touches the herb, it is also the only part to ever get dirty. A quick dip in ISO, and it's good as new.Â
And since the vapor path is made only from glass, the flavor stays pure and aromatic. All Arizers are known to produce outstanding vapor quality.
The stems can also be used as dosing capsules, and together with the caps and PVC pipes that are included in the kit, they can be taken away as ready-to-use pods, eliminating the need for a reload while on the go.Â
Performance & vapor quality
The Solo 2 MAX uses an improved hybrid heating system that uses mostly convection, but also conduction heat radiates through the glass into the herb that's in the chamber. It is very efficient, achieves maximum extraction, and delivers great-tasting vapor.
Solo 2 MAX vs. other vaporizers:
The most significant improvements over the outgoing Solo 2 are the following:
The proprietary DC charger plug has been updated to a USB-C. Finally.
There are also minor interface updates, such as dark mode or the rotating display.
When compared to the Air MAX:
The Solo 2 Max is larger and heavier.
The Battery of the Solo 2 MAX is more powerful and long-lasting. Around 120 minutes on the Air MAX and 170 minutes on the Solo 2 MAX.
The Solo 2 MAX heats up almost twice as fast.
The Solo 2 MAX has a larger display but no replaceable battery.
Both vapes have the same: oven size, temp range & control, hybrid heating system, and a similar interface. The stems are cross-compatible between the Old Solo, New Solo, and the Air MAX.Â
As far as non-Arizer vapes, I think the closest comparable is the new S&B Venty. Both vapes are pretty large, and I consider them to be "home portables."
Both vapes use a hybrid heating system that is very efficient and archives maximal extraction.
The Venty has a slightly larger oven and is a "heavier hitter." It produces slightly more vapor.
The Venty also has an adjustable airflow, so it is more flexible when it comes to inhalation technique. You can inhale short and fast vs. long and slow with the Solo 2 MAX.
Lastly, the Venty retails for $420, while the Solo 2 MAX is $270.Â
Bottom line:
There are no game-changing features or upgrades, as the Solo 2 didn't need them. It is a straightforward vaporizer that has been time-tested and proven to be a winner. It has the easiest and fastest loading procedure out there, and the results are predictable and consistent. It compensates for the lack of portability with long battery life and delicious vapor.
Should you upgrade?Â
If you already own a Solo 2 that works great and has no issues, there is no need to upgrade. If you were on the fence about getting one, this is the best time to pull the trigger.Â
Tips for best use:
Perfect your inhalation technique. As I mentioned, I recommend taking long, slow inhales from the Solo MAX. "Sip, don't rip" definitely applies here, and you should experiment to find the intensity that works best. Another reason to inhale slowly is that fewer particles will get sucked in, especially if you're not using the screen, which I don't.Â
If you're looking to get the best flavor, start inhaling while the vaporizer is pre-heating. Different terpenes vaporize at different temperatures, so inhaling while it's heating up will unlock amazing flavors and aromas. Keep in mind that not a lot of vapor will be produced at this stage.Â
If you're basically the opposite person of what I just described, and you want full, potent, dense hits from the first inhale, let the vape sit for an additional 10-30 seconds after it reaches the set temperature. This will allow heat to build up in the chamber and heat up the flower for a fuller, denser hit.Â
Empty your chamber immediately after finishing a session. Use a brush to remove any small particles that may block the holes of the glass and reduce airflow. Letting the cashed herb stay in the oven will make it stick to the glass and get it dirty a lot faster.Â

Ohio: 2023 Myrtle Beach Bowl Champions
MYRTLE BEACH, S.C.âThe Ohio football team (10-3, 6-2 MAC) wrapped up their 2023 season at the Myrtle Beach Bowl with a historic 41-21 victory over the Georgia Southern Eagles (6-7, 3-5 SBC).
This win marks Ohio's first time in program history recording consecutive 10-win seasons and made the Bobcats the first Mid-American Conference team to win five consecutive bowl games. Five turnovers forced sets the program record for the most turnovers forced in a bowl game, a record that hasn't been touched since the 1962 Sun Bowl (4).
Freshman running back Rickey Hunt was a force to be reckoned with, tying the NCAA bowl record for touchdowns in a game as well as setting the program record for most touchdowns scored in a game (5). On top of that, Hunt (Oklahoma City, Okla.) scored the most touchdowns in a bowl game since Dorian Brown in Bahamas Bowl (4). This stellar performance earned him 2023 Myrtle Beach Bowl MVP accolades.
The game marked multiple career firsts for the Bobcats. Graduate student quarterback Parker Navarro (Tempe, Ariz.) recorded his first collegiate start, going 11-for-16 with 120 passing yards and one passing touchdown. On the ground, Navarro recorded 15 carries on 71 yards. Hunt led the team on the ground, finishing with 115 rushing yards on 17 carries. Of his five touchdowns â which marked his first five collegiate touchdowns â four were rushing and one was receiving.
Safeties Jeremiah Wood (Pickerington, Ohio), Adonis Williams Jr. (South Euclid, Ohio) and Walter Reynolds (Detroit, Mich.) all snagged their first career interceptions. Wood also recorded one forced fumble, one pass breakup and five tackles. Graduate student Bruce Houston (Lewis Center, Ohio) led the defense with eight total tackles â highlighted by five solo stops â and one quarterback hurry; Reynolds was right behind him with seven tackles on the game.
Freshman kicker Gianni Spetic (Chardon, Ohio) had a perfect day, kicking two successful field goals and five PATs. Freshman kicker Alex Kasee (Sylvania, Ohio) recorded 428 yards on seven kickoffs, averaging 61.1 yards per kick, while redshirt junior punter Jack Wilson (Sylvania, Ohio) amassed 115 yards on three punts.
Wood shut down the opening drive with his first career interception, giving Ohio the ball less than two minutes into the game. The Bobcats concluded the ensuing 11-play, 43-yard drive with a 27-yard field goal, putting Ohio ahead by three. Hunt extended the Bobcats' lead in the second quarter with a two-yard rushing touchdown. After Spetic's extra point, Ohio led 10-0. The next drive, Adonis Williams Jr. snagged Ohio's second interception of the day, preventing the Eagles' offense from gaining momentum.
Hunt scored his second touchdown of the dayâand first career receiving touchdownâwith 3:16 until halftime. Redshirt sophomore linebacker Shay Taylor's (Mount Perry, Ohio) fumble recovery on the ensuing drive set the Bobcats up to score again, closing the first half with a field goal to take a 20-0 lead.
Reynolds stopped Georgia Southern's first drive of the second half short with Ohio's third interception of the game, returning the ball for 40 yards. Hunt immediately took advantage of regaining possession, scoring with a six-yard rushing touchdown to put the Eagles at a 27-point deficit.
Georgia Southern scored their first touchdown with 7:54 remaining in the third quarter, cutting the Bobcats' lead to 20 points with a three-yard rushing touchdown and a successful PAT. Ohio's next drive ended in a 40-yard punt, but Wood's forced fumble followed by a 30-yard return by redshirt junior cornerback Roman Parodie (Fort Lauderdale, Fla.) set up a 60-yard drive for Ohio, concluding in a 40-yard rushing touchdown for Hunt and extending Ohio's lead to 34-7. The Eagles quickly recovered, answering with a 65-yard receiving touchdown the following drive. Georgia Southern chipped away at the Bobcats' lead in the fourth as well, opening the final 15 minutes of play with a 15-yard receiving touchdown, putting the score at 34-21.
Hunt wasn't done yetâwith 2:52 remaining in the game, he wrapped up an eight-play, 55-yard drive with a nine-yard rushing touchdown, marking his fifth touchdown of the game and Ohio's final time scoring. With 29 seconds on the clock, Navarro took a knee and the Bobcats went into victory formation, solidifying their 41-21 win.

The ArGo (or Arizer Go) is a pocket vaporizer. ArGo is a great option for both new and seasoned vaporizer users. It provides a practical vaporizing experience and you can even fine-tune its device settings.
Today, we will compare the Arizer Go to the Arizer Solo II (âbig brotherâ to the ArGo from Arizer). Letâs find out how they compare!
Rising Popularity of ArGo as a Pocket Vaporizer
With Arizerâs Custom Session Settings and convection heating systems, portable vaporizers are getting more advanced. Pocket vaporizers are discreet, practical, and PORTABLE! If you are an on-the-go user, having a vape that is truly portable is a huge selling feature.
This pocket vaporizer is exceedingly portable because it prepares you for a whole day out. Interchangeable 18650 batteries mean youâll never be low on power. The ArGoâs size makes it so you can easily palm your vape or put it in your pocket for travel and the innovative design enables the mouthpiece to be entirely masked for on-the-go usage.
Previous Arizer vaping products were somewhat tall and large to fit easily in a pocket, but this challenge has been resolved with the ArGo. With Arizerâs ArGo, you can easily elevate the pocket vape experience by leveraging innovative technology and advanced features.
ArGo vs. Solo II
The ArGo is a small-sized pocket vaporizer, and the Solo II is like a âbig brotherâ to the ArGo, both from Arizer. With its compact size, about the size of a deck of playing cards, and onboard functionalities and features are what set the ArGo apart from Solo II. Letâs compare the two!
Letâs look at the ArGo and Solo II on the basis of device design, battery & charging capacity, different product features, ease of use, portability, and vapor generation.
ArGo vs. Solo II: Design
The precise design of the Arizer ArGo is impressive. Its innovative design finishes are highly functional and sleek. The device top slides up and to protect the glass stem when not in use.All the product components are made of superior quality, carefully sourced, and are heat resistant. The black-on-black matte look gives ArGo a high-end feel.
The ArGo pocket vaporizer product is designed with the mobile connoisseur in mind and fits in a palm-sized package. Through excellent design, Arizer has constantly raised the bar and set new benchmarks in quality through its products.
The Arizer Solo II has borosilicate glass tubes, which is a fantastic product design element. The tubes come in 70, 90 and 110 mm lengths. The longer the tube, the cooler the vapor. The complete vapor path is made of glass on both Argo and Solo II, which ensures superior taste, cool vapor and superior enjoyment. Â This product is durable and comes with a large OLED screen that enables users to access Arizerâs Custom Session Settings.
ArGo vs. Solo II: Battery and Charging
The ArGo charger leverages a Micro USB and 2-point base as simple as your smartphone charger. The average battery life is around 90 minutes. It takes me approx 15 min per bowl, so this gives 7 â 8 uses until needing to replace the battery or charge. This is sufficient battery life for outside adventures, hanging out with friends, festivals, events, and relaxing around the backyard.
With the ArGo pocket vaporizer, you can enjoy uninterrupted vaping with interchangeable batteries. You can easily swap out your battery for a brand new, fully charged ones. Interchangeable batteries assist in increasing vaping session length and avoid having to find a power outlet. This pocket vaporizer can even be charged through a USB cable and leverages pass-through charging, which means you can use it while itâs charging.
The Arizer Solo II comes with an average 3-hour battery life, which means it backs around 18 sessions of 10 minutes in one go. The long-lasting battery and several accessible charging choices offer a great portable vaping experience to the users.
ArGo vs. Solo II: Functionality and Features
The ArGo gets to 190° C in about 60 seconds from when you turn it on. It reaches the temperature of 220° C in around 90 seconds. This scenario is excellent for having a swift and relaxing session. Not much time to wait for your pocket vape to heat up.
The case is similar with Solo II. The product offers comprehensive control with an utmost temperature of 220° C (428° F). The screen is large and showcases Arizerâs Custom Session Settings. The Solo II displays battery life, current temperature, your desired temperature, and other significant details on the display.
ArGo vs. Solo II: Portability
With the ArGo, Arizer has crafted a design that can fit easily into your pocket. The ArGo has a stem that precisely fits within the body when you are required to carry the product and it does not look like a traditional vaporizer.
Solo II is also very portable but a little less discreet than the ArGo. Itâs stem sticks out of the unit and it looks like a vaporizer from afar, so people who are interested in using the vape for festivals or out and about in public sessions may prefer ArGo over Solo II.
ArGo vs. Solo II: Ease of Usage
Both vaporizers are pretty simple to use. Both utilize Arizerâs Custom Session Settings to simplify and customize each userâs experience.
The Solo II is easy to use as it comes with three buttons â the center, up, and down buttons. The center and up buttons will turn on the product, while the up arrow will upsurge the heat settings. Solo II offers a practical usage process with the user easily putting the dry herbs into the glass aroma tube.
For the ArGo the stems are very similar. The loading of your dry herb is the same as with the Solo II tubes. The usage of the unit is nearly identical to the Solo II for setting up your custom session settings.
ArGo vs. Solo II: Vapor Generation and Quality
With an all-glass vapor path and isolated airpath in Solo II, the device generates a smooth and tasty vapor. The product activates natural terpene profiles. Furthermore, the draw resistance of this product is exactly what youâd expect, even draw with a large cloud production.
The ArGo pocket vaporizer has a pleasant, relaxed, and wide-open draw. It has a glass, ceramic, and stainless-steel air path blended with hybrid heating that shields the taste of your herbs, keeps them warm between draws, and heats them when taking hits.
ArGo is absolutely a top-tier pocket vaporizer. It comes with a compelling blend of pure vapor generation and flavor, combined with interchangeable batteries and a highly sleek design.
Arizer hits it out of the park with both Solo II and ArGo, but for a pocket vaporizer ArGo is the vape youâre looking for. It provides exceptional and exclusive portability and discreet use for its users.

UTEP to Take on Pac-12âs Arizona in 53rd Meeting Saturday
EL PASO, Texas â UTEP will face its second consecutive Power Five opponent when the Miners travel to Tucson to take on Arizona and former UTEP WR Jacob Cowing on Saturday afternoon. The Miners and Wildcats are set to kick off at 9:00 p.m. MT on the Pac-12 Network while the game will be broadcasted on 95.5 KLAQ
UTEP and Arizona are playing for the first time since the 2017 season, while the former Border Conference and Western Athletic Conference foes will meet for the 53rd time.
UTEP (1-2) is coming off a 38-7 loss at Northwestern on Sept. 9. The Wildcats outscored the Miners 31-0 in the second half after going into the halftime tied 7-7. Tyrice Knight, the nationsâ leading tackler, racked up 14 more tackles including 11 solo stops and a half sack. Offensively, Jeremiah Ballard was the highlight as he tallied a career-best 92 yards on four receptions, while Zach Fryar snagged his first career touchdown on a four-yard leaping catch in the end zone. McKel Broussard added a career-high seven tackles, while Josiah Allen tallied his first career sack (half sack with Knight). Maurice Westmoreland recorded his first career sack along with a pass breakup. Gavin Hardison struggled in the second half. After starting the day 7-of-8 with a touchdown pass, finishing 17-of-25 for 192 yards and two interceptions.
Knight, following his performance at NU, was named the Conference USA Defensive Player of the Week on Sept. 11, his first career weekly award.
Arizona (1-1) is coming off a 31-24 overtime loss at Mississippi State on Sept. 9. The Wildcats outscored the Bulldogs 10-3 in the fourth quarter to push the extra period. UA QB Jayden de Laura threw for 342 yards on 32-of-46 passing with two touchdown tosses but four interceptions. Former Miner Jacob Cowing caught seven balls for 31 yards including a 17-yard TD in the third quarter after being down 21-7. Cowing added three yards on a rush attempt and completed a pass for -2 yards. Arizona opened the â23 season on Sept. 2 with a victory over NAU, 38-3. De Laura passed for 285 yards and three scores, including a four-yard TD toss to Cowing for the Wildcatsâ first points of the season. Overall, de Laura has thrown for 627 yards, ranking 13th in FBS. He ranks eighth in passing yards per game (313.5). Arizonaâs passing offense ranks 17th nationally, while its redzone defense ranks ninth in FBS.
âArizona is our biggest test of the year and for one reason alone is that they're a very, very, very talented team. Start with their offensive line, a big physical athletic offensive line. (They have) a really deep backfield with running backs, good tight ends and then some good size at wide receiver. Then obviously they got Jacob (Cowing), who's just a tremendous player for them,â UTEP Head Coach Dana Dimel said. âSo, they got really a group of very, very talented receivers and a quarterback that's very athletic and makes a lot of plays. So offensively, they're a big, big test for us and they're very versatile with what they do offensively. Defensively they've gotten a lot better. They've recruited well, they've got more talented defensive players on their team now. They're very deep up front. They got some solid depth at linebacker, and they're very deep in the secondary. So, they have the size and the speed on defense. I think they're much improved this year defensively from what they were last season with the things they're doing, as everybody expected them to be. They're going to be a tough test force for sure, as we try to attack them offensively and then try to stop them defensively.â
UTEP (1-2, 0-1) at Arizona (1-1, 0-1)
