Things that I decided is possible for the Sonic Fangame:

The game will take place in three islands along a chain: Westside Isle, and Eastside Isle.

Southern Isle, the fourth Isle in the chain, will only contain three things: an archelogial dig site, the Gate of Perfection, and Chaos Angel.

Westside Isle, the Island Tails was found at, could also possibly contain the location of Emerald Town from Sonic Battle.

Central City will be also located on Westside Isle, as well.

On top of this, Forces' own island, where the game is set at, might be another island on the same chain of islands.

Holy Summit (Knuckles' home in Battle) might be located in Mystic Jungle in the Northern Isle (name I'm giving to the Forces Isle).

Eastside Isle will contain an active volcano, along with the largest landmass.

The four Islands together are going to be collectively named 'The Compass Isles', for their near-circular landmass around themselves.

There is no Central/Pointer Island. There is Magnet Rock, a rock of magnesium that juts out and points to all four islands. But there is no Central/Pointer Island.

(There may be a joke where the Four Heavenly Beasts' statues are found on the island that represent the Cardinal Direction they themselves represent (Vermillion Bird on the Southern Island, Black Turtle on the Northern, etc.), but beyond that there really is no fifth island in the middle)
