funnily enough i never enjoyed dating sims before but now that im actually dating someone i do.. bc i noticed this game nudging me towards the character with a higher love-and-feelings rating since id been choosing a lot of love-and-feelings dialogue, when all along i was interested in the character with a high boldness rating bc that complements my character more. and bc she's a domme but mostly bc i wouldn't wanna be with someone just like me and i dont think i'd realized that until i fell in love for realsies

Managed to finish Arcade Spirits even though I struggled to get into it at first. I think it may have actually broken me out of my pessimistic slump just a little bit. It’s been a while since I played a game with a protagonist who’s not investigating murders and/or generally having a bad time (relatable) so I think it was a bit jarring to play a character who quickly finds happiness and success (uh, not so relatable). I chose Naomi but all of the dateable characters had charmed me by the end. Also loved Hamza, Francine and Sue.

I‘ve been playing a new game I got myself for Xmas. It’s called Arcade Spirits and it’s a very versatile visual novel! You can pick pronouns, customize your appearance a little, decide to play with full romance, friendship to romance, or just friendship, along with picking of you want visual indicators of tone for your answer choices! It’s amazing!

Thought I’d draw Naomi Fairchild from Arcade Spirits since I had so much fun/such an easy time drawing her in my style. I colored her hair green in a few of them because the brown marker was running out, so I made it the same color as her "pixel" art. Not sure if it looks good or not.
