Chapter Two…
🖤🩸🖤🩸🖤🩸🖤🩸🖤🩸🖤🩸🖤🩸🖤🩸🖤
Time passed slowly, but Shadowheart began to learn his ways. The moment she said anything, it was provided for. She had but to ask, and it was hers. Food appeared and disappeared. A place to sleep— a pile of blankets and pillows not unlike the ones from camp… so long ago… or not truly all that long ago. Even a stack of books when she began to grow bored of the clean stone walls.
It had been perhaps two days, maybe more, given the frequency of her hunger and sleep. But she knew he would not leave her alone for long.
Not once a pitcher of warm water and a bar of fragrant soap appeared. The implication was clear. And she shuddered to think of his reasons for wishing her to bathe.
A groan echoed in her cell, begrudging and annoyed, but she did it anyway against her better judgment. Unable to stand the feeling of dirt-covered skin any longer. Of course, she scanned the shadows again before stripping off her soiled shift. As if she would find him peering at her.
Not that he wanted her. That was clear. His words had been needling her, prodding her incessantly. Even if he kept her in relative comfort. So she tugged off the filthy fabric and began pouring and scrubbing, that scent of soft florals warming her. Dulling the rest of the water over her hair, she turned, a towel suddenly waiting for her on a chair, which she eagerly used to wrap around her naked form.
“No clothes?” she chuffed, annoyed as she reached for where she had tossed her old shift aside.
But it was gone.
“You have got to be joking,” she hissed to the shadows. Her hands wrapped that towel around her even tighter, her body shivering despite the heat in her cell.
“I am not one for making jokes during our sessions, princess…”
“Ah,” Shadowheart chimed with harsh confidence, “I knew you wouldn’t be prowling too far behind.”
She turned and froze. The man behind her, standing just inside the door, was like a vision from before. Same faded linen, ruffled shirt. Same tightly trimmed breeches that clung to his thighs. As if he hadn’t killed his way into unlimited power, as if he couldn’t melt into the darkness as mist, or ascended to the position of most powerful vampire lord in all the realms. The only difference was the soft kid gloves, black as night, cloaking his dexterous hands.
“Glad to see you’ve indulged in my trivial hospitalities,” he purred, crimson eyes darting over the remains of her washing. Another snap of his fingers, and it all vanished into the mists he conjured. “I’m afraid, however, additional treats and favors will need to be earned, princess. You’ll have to work for your keep, darling.”
“And just how do you envision I do that, Astarion?” she jutted her chin and crossed her arms over her breasts, barely covered by his thin towel, the perfect picture of defiance.
Or at least a delicious attempt, he thought.
“Master,” he corrected instantly. “You will call me Master. Not Astarion, not friend… not vampire or rogue or darling or dear…” A single one of his dark silver brows arched. “Master.”
“I’m not going to do that, Astarion.” She snipped in reply, shaking her head so haughtily.
Oh, she was going to be fun to break. He grinned, a tilt to his head.
“Rule number one: I am your master, and you will obey me in all things. You will always reply to me, Yes, Master or No, Master…”
“I’m not doing that….”
He twisted his hands, fingers twirling in the air. A rush of warm wind swirled around her, commanding her body as if she were a puppet. A marionette. A plaything for the Ascendant. Chains fell back from the dungeon’s ceiling, wrapping around her wrists “Rule number two: as your Master, it is my responsibility to see you provided for, your needs met, your safety ensured. As my Vassal, you will come to know pleasure and pain far greater than you have ever known… so long as you tell me the truth. You will make yourself available for my every desire and satisfaction, once you have learned your place…” He flashed his fangs, folding his arms and mimicking her stance flawlessly. “…Eventually.”
“That Ascendant power has clearly addled your smooth brain, poor thing,” she tugged against her chains again. “Especially if you think I’m going to give you anything. Most especially the truth.”
“You will, in time…” he purred, beckoning her body forward from the wall two steps closer to where he stood. “You forget, I know you… I haven’t always been a monster in your eyes, darling.”
She began fuming, chest heaving, towel slipping from how she had tucked it tightly.
“We have… history, Shadowheart. So much passion and tension shared, matters of life and death that have bound us forever.” He drew a step closer, two fingers tucking into the top of that wrap, a single pull and it fluttered to her feet. His eyes scanned down her fair skin, watching as her full breasts swayed when she tugged against her restraints, the way those rosy nipples of hers harden into little peaks. “You know I am speaking truth, so now it’s your turn,” he hissed, “why are you here, princess?”
Silence. Just more ragged breaths that made her bosom heave.
“Perhaps you need some… convincing, some enticement or a reminder of how much we have shared….” That grin that twisted his face as he spoke made her stomach knot funny, as did the way his eyes kept flickering their crimson gaze over her every exposed inch. “Perhaps the words, ‘Stand and face the wall and we can begin,’ will pique your memories….”
She didn’t need a tadpole to have the memories flash in her brain… the Goblin Camp… her friend, his lover, and her cries of delighted pain… the way the priest of Loviatar made such pretty music come from her lips.
She recalled wishing to be in either place, her body humming to hold the mace or to receive it… to bleed and shiver with pain or to make …her… do the same. Memories alone made her skin turn to pinpricks and shivers race in pleasure. “You're going to make me cry out to Loviatar like she did… your lover…”
His face tightened, the sharp edges of his cheeks and his jaw somehow growing more angled and shadowed. “Oh no, princess, you’ll be crying out to me… dear one.”
Magic swept her around, the ice cold touch moving her body, making her turn, splaying her hands against the wall, bending her body forward to stick the swell of her ass out. But then it eased. A test. To see if she would fight against it or play… if she were up for his test. But she was stronger, she would beat him at his own games. She craned her neck to watch his shadow move across the ground, the sting of magic brushed her skin, the same that came the every apparition of objects. Summoning whatever… materials…that he required to execute his plan. “Looking for the right mace, Astarion? Bet you tried to pinch that one from the Goblin Camp, probably licked it clean of your lover's blood before…”
A resounding crack to her right side silenced her. Her tongue never fell so silent so fast.
“Do you want to keep busying that mouth of yours with insolence… or are you going to start telling me why you let yourself get caught… or would you rather just start mewling and screaming?” She heard him give a little groan, his arousal so clear in the way it caressed his throat. “Because I’m fine with either of the last two… maybe that final option would be my preference, darling.”
She hissed as another crack of that whip sounded on the other side of her head, so close, she could feel the air rush down her neck.
“Unless you want to do this all another way…” he purred. Suddenly, his body drew close. Too close. “Unless you start begging me to let you come somewhere…”
He paused.
“Where?” She pressed back with her words, even if she couldn’t resist with her body. “Where would you have me come?”
A single gloved finger trailed down her spine, agonizingly slow as the supple leather danced a straight line lower. “Oh….” He hummed right beside her, behind her. “On my fingers, on my tongue…. On my cock, once you’ve earned it…”
A shiver raced with fury down her back, following his singular touch until it pooled in her belly. “Godsdamn it,” she snapped as she hung her head, hearing his low throated laugh as he felt her delicious reaction.
“You can forget all your gods now, even Shar. They won’t help you in here,” he growled, lifting his touch from her skin.
Already part of her missed it, his touch, and it burned her cheeks with shame.
“I prayed to every one, for two hundred years. Not one saved me. So I know, Princess, your prayers fall on deaf ears here, at least.” She could hear the leather handle of the whip creak in his grip. His breath was loud, rasping in his throat as he shifted over the stone floor.
“Nervous, vampire?” she tested, starting to look over her shoulder.
A crack split the air, the whip kissing her skin, striking the swell of her ass check.
“You will address me properly, I am your master now.” He hissed, letting the whip dance back quickly before he let another snap ring hollow in the air above her back.
Shadowheart groaned and flinched. A groan not wholly in fear, that rumble of need lacing her voice.
“Now, tell your master, what were you seeking coming here?” He let the whip drag over the stones, just the slightest abrasive sound out of her sight. “Coming to drive a stake through my Ascendant ribs? Come to drop a bit of Drow poison in my Ithbank, hoping it weakens me first?”
“What about why you keep me instead of killing me?” Shadowheart spat in return. “You wish your loneliness was so easily ended, don’t you, Astarion?” she hissed, finally casting the corner of her eye to glance behind her. She watched her words hit home, making his head jolt as if struck. His lips curled in a feral sneer, fangs glinting in the fiery light. “Just so lonely since she left you, unbearable isn’t it?”
“Shut up!” he roared, letting the whip crack back and forth to split her other ass cheek again. “You insolent, incorrigible slut. Just saying things to rouse my temper so you get the pain you crave…”
Shadowheart just laughed, pain stinging over her backside from the few lashes she had endured. “Perhaps you haven’t forgotten about me, then. Perhaps your eyes weren’t for your beloved you kept on a tight leash for all those weeks until she tired of you…”
“How fortunate for us, then,” he snarled through his teeth, agitation rippling through his frame, clawing behind his controlled stance. “If she hadn’t left me, I wouldn’t have the delight of marking your soft and supple curves. She never was quite so soft or quite so yielding. But your flesh, little Sharran, it pillows beneath each lash…”
The whip whistled to land on the back of her thighs.
“…it blushes like the petals of a bud with each lick…”
Another lash, smack over the center of her ass, making her legs clench and fly apart to chase away the pain.
“… it buckles and gives so deliciously to every drive I make into you.”
One more lick, the leathered tip of his whip drove as he said into her flesh, breaking into the little opening she had accidentally left between her thighs. Striking into the cleft of her legs, stinging the entrance of her channel with perfect aim.
Her voice screamed, her throat scratching as she cried the instant his whip kissed between her folds. A gush of arousal dripped from the intrusion, trickling down her legs even as she braced her head against the wall. “Trying to draw blood so you can sate your hunger?” Shadowheart snapped back, unable to hide how her voice shook in pain, how her body trembled in pleasure.
She heard the drag of the little leather strap on the ground, the falling of his feet intentionally loud enough for her ears. His gloved hand fisted around her braid, tugging her head up and turning to meet his eyes. His eyes burned like coals, dying embers of scarlet for eyes. Fangs bared as he scowled, keeping a distance, only touching her to lift her head. Enraged, controlled, simmering arousal mixed with hatred. His voice seared like magma, the faintest bubbles of rage in its velvety tone. “Oh, little cleric, there is so much more to hunger for than blood. For me… and for you. You’re going to be begging me for release by the end, craving a little death… and I don’t mean your freedom or your demise.”
His hand relinquished her braid, letting her head hang between her outstretched arms.
“You are a monster, Astarion,” she hissed, flinching even as his words coiled hot and oily like a snake in her belly.
“A vampire? Why yes, I suppose most would agree with that assessment of my monstrous qualities, thank you for the wisdom, Princess ....” He drew back a single step, so close now, she could hear how his dexterous fingers squeaked their gloves on the handle of his weapon, how his breath caught as he drew his arm back for another lash. The little grunt he made as his arm swept forward echoed in her ear. She groaned as she felt the tail split her skin, the warmth of her blood trickling from the line he had made on the inside of her thigh.
“I’m looking for honesty, not wisdom,” he growled as he skated his arm back for another blow. “And now that scent of your blood has filled this monster’s nose, do you wish to offer your master what seeks? Or will you deny me and be left wanting, little Sharran?”
“I’d say ‘Go to the hells,’ but I’m pretty sure you’re already there, Astarion…” she forced her voice to laugh, forced her head to meet his gaze sidelong.
“Fine,” he snarled. “If all you see is the monster you think I’ve become, I can be that… and worse…” He lashed her with all his force, an equal stripe now up her other thigh. A matching slash, pouring out just as much of her blood now.
“Ah!” She cried, so loud her voice shook her own ears as it bounced off the wall before her face, her knees buckling at the racing slice of pain. She panted, she writhed. She wanted… more. “Is that all you’ve got, or has the luxury of your Ascendant life made you soft, Astarion?”
“It has given me the taste for the finest things in life,” he hissed, the handle of his whip clattering to the ground. Her hips ached from bending over, her wrists stung from where they bent back by magic. The lashes across her ass and legs burned with all the fury he unleashed. But it all muddled into a giant swell in her belly as she felt the soft leather of his gloves caress up the backs of her thighs.
Stealthy as ever, he had snuck behind her, kneeling on the cold stones beneath her. His touch was gentle, the softness of the leather warmed by his skin beneath. She had forgotten that his heart beat again, his flesh almost passing for living. A groan leaked from her throat as he passed his touch through the trail of her slick and blood. Seeing nothing, she could only shake in place as his fingers withdrew, the sound of them being sucked, popped from between his fervent lips spiking another shiver down her neck.
Her stomach swirled, hips cocking further out against her will. Like a doe presenting in heat, she hated it. And loved it.
A small chuckle made her buck, the only warning she got before his tongue lapped through that running mix of blood and arousal.
Just the once, he licked her. Licked her just enough to make her moan, like some.. wild animal.
“Guess we aren’t so different from the monsters we always were, darling. You still crave the pain, a way to lose yourself, to find your meaning. And I…” he raised to his feet and stood back, a flick of his wrist releasing her from the magic that tethered her to the wall, “…I still crave the power, the hunger to feed and take, the taste of living blood and the riveting company that it often affords.” He stood, legs splayed, arms crossed. A trickle of her blood at the corner of his mouth, a smear of it on the cream linen of his shirt, a stain of stark violence against its clean background. His face smiled softly, head tilted in that way of his that sent his silver curls to shift to one side.
Rakish. And handsome.
“Get yourself decent,” he added, much colder and commanding. “Next time, you’ll get more if you give me that which I seek…”
“Which is?” Shadowheart panted, rubbing her wrists from the tingle of magic, unaware of how her heavy breathing made her full breasts sway, her soft little belly flexing as it rose and fell…
“Honesty, as I have said. I want to know your purpose, and once I know that…” he cocked his head to the other side, his fingers flicking in the air as a gesture of lazy interest, “then this may be all the more rewarding for you… for us.”
Without allowing her another word, he turned in his heel and vanished into mist.

------------------------------------------------
jaune as hades, how would he deal with ozpin and salem? or maybe jaune watching salem go by every time he dies and urges to resurrect like: Jaune: drinking coffee in the morning. Salem going through his room towards the exit to respawn: hello *as he passes by*.
"Hello, Ozma." Jaune sighed atop his black throne.
"Jaune." The older-looking man nodded.
"In my realm, I am Lord Jaune." He scowled, before waving a hand at the issue. "But whatever. It's not like you're staying anyways."
"I wish we didn't meet like this." Ozma replied.
"And I wish the Brothers didn't leave their mess like children." Jaune sighed again. "But who am I to question the almighty, and horrendously stupid Brothers?"
The God of Death, Souls, and the Underworld stood from his obsidian throne and approached Ozma. Two fingers on each hand, he pierced the chest of the man in front of him. With little effort, the man was split in two, one appearing as a slightly older man, and the other as a beautiful knight.
"Wh-Where am I?" The man fearfully asked. "Oz?"
"You're dead." Jaune bluntly stated. "Ozma took over your body, and your subconscious faded into his."
"But... But my wife! My family-!"
"They are fine." Ozma said. "You... We died protecting them. Their bullhead should arrive in Mantle shortly." Ozma gave a sad smile. "All four of them."
"Four?" The man balked. "But it was only my wife and two sist- No..." The man wept. "No, it cannot be... She's..."
"She's pregnant, yes." Jaune said. "You have been granted passage to the Gazing Mirror at any time to witness the life of those who are living." His head turned to Ozma. "A boon I grant only to those worthy of it."
A chilled wind blew through the cavern, and the man disappeared like dust to paradise. The remaining two watched each other, until Jaune sighed and sat upon his throne.
"I hate you so much, Ozma."
"As you tell me every time."
"I've lost track of how many men you've put to tears with your selfishness." His glare deepened. "How many women you've put to death with your arrogance."
"I will not argue that I have made mistakes-"
"Mistakes?!" Jaune stood from his seat. "Mortals make mistakes because they fail to understand the consequences of their actions. You, a man who has lived a thousand lifetimes know this, and yet continue to make the wrong choice!"
"It is not so simple-!"
"You have allies in every kingdom, Ozma!" Jaune waved an arm out. "Men and women, and children, willing to die for you to save the world, and yet you cower behind them while making the whole world blind!"
"Jaune-!"
"LORD JAUNE!"
The cavern roared to life as howling winds bit at Ozma's cheek and screamed in his ears. Darkness grew ever darker, and cold hands grabbed and pulled on his armor, forcing him to his knees. Looking through the frozen gales, he saw the blue fire in his eyes had become a raging inferno, threatening to swallow him whole.
Then the fire and the wind died, and the shadows retreated to their corners once more. Ozma, still on the ground, clenched his fist to steady himself.
"Go, Ozma." Jaune sat upon his throne, looking away. "Go and ruin some other poor mortal's life. And this time, try to waste away another god's patience."

Cast light into the shadows
Soulmate Au
Azriel x reader (part 1)
Tumblr media
Soulmates are usually made within the same reality. It is a very rare occurrence that someone gets a soul mark for a person in another dimension. Almost all of them never find away into that world. How could they? Magic does not exist with in our realm, or so we thought. Well…. turns out you just need know where to look.
I dreamt all day, everyday of being in these worlds created by astounding books I knew without doubt I did not belong in this world. My heart ached when I disappeared into my books, only to come back to this reality. On my 21 birthday when everyone receives their soul mark, it was confirmed when I got my soul mark. “Azriel shadow singer” appeared across my rib cage, I was not long for this world. I knew exactly where I belonged but how would I get there. I was determined to find away. I spent countless hours scouring the internet trying to find away to get there.
I went to work and asked my best friend. I walked over to Jordan and whispered “ I need to show you something.” And headed toward the bathroom, she was two steps behind. Once inside I checked the stalls then locked the bathroom door. I lifted and showed her my soul mark. Once she read it, she gasped with realization. I look her dead in the face, “ I need to find a way.” she contemplates many things for a moment and says “ I may know a way. Meet me outside after work.” All through out our shift I see her texting someone vigorously.
After we are closed we are walking outside to her car. When I see a tall, gorgeous, black haired, blue eyed woman leaning on the trunk. I give Jordan a quizzed look. She holds up her hand and goes over speaking in hushed tone before beckoning me over. As I approach the women is very blunt and blurts “ I can make it happen but I can not determine when or where you will appear.” I nod “ I want to try anyways.” She closes her eyes starts this song like chant and it sounds like he voice doubles and echos inside my head. It disorients me so I close my eyes. Finally when her voice is gone and I open my eyes I am still here and she is gone. I look at Jordan with confusion and sadness. All she utters is, “ Give it time.”
I go home and take shower, decompressing from the day I have had. Once I lay down to go to sleep, it comes at me all at once and I don’t even remember when my eyes closed. As I dream I seem to fall through this endless darkness that seems to move and hum with life around me. It seems to think before an immense, excruciating and nauseating pain erupts from my back and angel-like wings begin to grow, with feathers of black and gold. I scream in pain as they finish growing. Then I feel this power flow through me that feels like life itself. This golden light erupts from every pore in my body, then disappears. Then suddenly I am yanked from the darkness and thrown on a cold hard floor, sopping wet. I look around as the whole room is silent and all eyes are on me in shock. I try to figure out how the faces belong to. I see two other girls in sopping wet dresses. One whose face is more soft, mousey I know that to be Elain, so I deduce the other to be Nesta. The hulk of a man lying on the floor with shredded wings is Cassian and Azriel with the shadows that clinging to him.
I’m interrupted when the King growls at me, “ Who are you?” I move to stand no realizing the state of my undress. Feyre moves towards me and covers me with her cloak, I nod to her in thanks. I look up at the man on the thrown and say, “ I was someone in this other world, but’ I look back at my wings and then back to him ‘ I am someone different now. I don’t feel the same, i am not the same. Better but not at the same time.” I look down at me hands. “ what do you mean?” I don’t even have to respond. Because my hands start emitting pure energy and light. The whole room collectively sucks in air. The events between Tamlin, Feyre and Rhysand have already transpired because she stands next to him and not her mate.
I stepped back my eyes darting to the door, wanting to make a break for it. I knew I wouldn’t make it far with these new wings and barely wearing any clothes . My eyes then landed on Azriel praying he could feel the mating bond, when our eyes connected. He has a sharp in take of breathe, “ it’s not possible.” Is all he said. He shows no effort to move in my direction. My head dropped, Rhysand speaking in my mind come to my side. So I moved to towards him and the King ask “ where are you going?” Rhysand’s confident voice spoke “ she is spoken for and will be coming back with me.” The King growled but did not argue. Rhys wrapped his arm around me as he guided me out of the throne room. Nesta helped Elain follow and Azriel helped Cassian.
~time skip~
I have been wasting away to nothing in my room at the house of wind. I didn’t leave, Azriel refused to talk to me or see me for reasons unbeknownst to me. Also I refused to let in the light that my body needed, that it craved so desperately. That’s another reason that I could feel myself slowly dying because I had neither of the things that I longed for, the things that made me want to breathe and see the sun.
One morning I awoke from a deep sleep to hear arguing down the hall. “ Go see her damn it, Az!” Azriel whispers something back in hushed tones. Cassian was not a happy with his response so he roars back, “ She is dying! And a lot faster than Elain or Nesta! You have a mate and you are allowing her to die!” His volume grew seeming to shake the whole tower.
In an effort to make them stop fighting, I tried to stand. Not knowing I couldn’t from the state of my body and the weight of my wings, I collapse to the floor. The pain from the impact reverberates through my body, causing me to yell out in pain.
I hear the door swing open and rushed footstep, but I don’t look up. I keep my hair in front of my face as curtain between me and him so he won’t see the tears running down my face. I can't bare to look up and not see the man I really need in front of me. I feel a hand brush my hair behind my ear and when he whispers gently and sensitively, “ Look at me.”… My eyes timidly raise to meet hazel eyes that gleam in the rising suns light.
It’s not Cassian kneeling before me…..

Day 2~ New Worlds
Another day and we’re back at it again for @khoc-week. Today I’m working with two prompts, one being the main prompt for the day, New Worlds, and the second from the alphabet list, Remember. As the incarnation of Light she has lived many lives in a constant cycle of reincarnation, and until around KH3 time she doesn’t remember any of them. I didn’t draw her new world forms, but I did include her with her dream eaters, the new worlds are covered more in the short story itself than the art.
The start of Kingdom Hearts 3 begins with Y taking her Mark of Mastery exam, hoping to gain the power needed to rescue Aqua, Terra, and Ventus. She faces several new worlds in their sleeping state. In this dream world learns more about herself and the past lives she’s lived.
Tumblr media
Y was always happy when new worlds required an outfit change to avoid standing out. It was something fun that with barely anything she would already know something about the new world. She loved the fins she gained in Atlantica, and the pirate themed  outfit for the Caribbean. Though she hadn’t been to Halloween Town since leaving the Organization she was excited at the prospect of what form she would take, since Sora was a vampire and X had turned into a werecat of sorts. Perhaps this world was in the same vein as Halloween Town. After all, she was painted like a skeleton.
Y was fairly sure it was some kind of paint anyways, most of her arms were covered in it. A surprising amount of detail was painted into the bones, Y was almost convinced she really was a skeleton. But her Komory Bat was still bumping into her arm, so it confirmed the flesh was still there. She just needed to seem like she wasn’t alive. Which made sense for what X had called the Land of the Dead.
Seeing the worlds she had faced in the Realm of Darkness was strange. And though they had returned them to the Light some were still caught in a limbo state. It offered more insight into the worlds than their shadows had.
“This place is even more heartbreaking now,” Y muttered to herself, standing in the piles of discarded belongings. It hadn’t made sense why so many things had been grouped together before. But knowing now, she wished she didn’t. “This is really all that’s left of them.”
The worst part of this world, Y had decided, was knowing when someone truly disappeared. Standing here she stood in all that was left of so many. Those that had been forgotten by everyone. Her heart ached looking at the broken toys and crafts. What had once been the most prized possessions of the forgotten.
All she could think of were the words Lea had said, a broad grin on his face. ‘In peoples memories he could live forever’. And maybe, with enough people he could last for a long time. After all, there were some here who had been residents for what must have felt like forever. Their families still spoke their names and told their stories. But even with all that forever, real forever, seemed like far too long. Eventually they would all fade.
Unless the one who remembered you would live forever.
Y took a few steps forward, carefully moving to step around her two bunny like dream eaters. The Me Me Bunny and Majik Lapin bounced to follow her movements as she tried to find some sort of logic to the rubble. Anything to tell her about the people who had once been here.
It was beginning to make sense, why X had always insisted on reciting the names in the keyblade graveyard. As his hand had brushed each key, he spoke their names into whatever echoing silence there was. Maybe he felt it was his responsibility as one who would see forever, to make sure their names did too. Or maybe it was the only way he could keep his friends from lives past with him. To make that forever a little less lonely.
A soft bump on her leg broke her train of thought. She smiled down at the Majik Lapin who had bumped her leg. She crouched down, placing her hand behind one of its ears.
“Sorry, just thinking,” Y said, forcing a smile and chuckle. The Me Me Bunny brushed her other hand, it was on instinct it came to rest in between its ears. All this thought of forever. She had seen what would count as forever, at least to those who hadn’t lived her lives. She could remember countless others who had been lost. “Who do you think will remember us?”
Who would remember those who live forever when the time finally comes?
We remember you. The soft voices in her mind chorused. She felt a bump on her shoulder, and with only a slight glance she could see the Komory Bat resting on her as if she were a perch.
“Thank you,” Y said softly. She titled her head to bump against the Spirit on her shoulder. The Spirits had been a comfort on what would have otherwise been a lonely exam. Being able to talk to anything made the thoughts seem smaller. “You know the last time I was here, there was this picture. It had all my friends from a long time ago in it. I didn’t remember them at the time. But I knew they were my friends just from the picture. It’s sad to think, because I didn’t remember their names they would have faded if they were here. At least if I was the only one who knew them.” She continued to brush her hand against the two dream eaters heads and nuzzle the Komory Bat with her head.
There were so many, all lost. Names ran through her mind one after the next each with only the faintest hint of a face before she moved on to the next person. One after the other. So many that maybe only she remembered.
“I don’t want them to be forgotten,” Y whispered. She pulled her hands back, resting over her heart. Their names a mantra in her thoughts, flashes of missions and games. Her friends. Her Dandelions. “Zia, Haku, Raito, Kirai, Jax, Annora, Skuld, Kariya, Saki, Anri.”
She listed their names, taking a pause to remember them as she did. The way Kariya had always had a sly grin and a smart word to pick a fight. They had met because of him picking a fight. And he was almost always with Zia, the stoic girl he could always be trusted to rile up. And Haku and Raito, the brothers forced to stand on opposing sides. Though it was always clear they were never into the fights of unions. Saki the bright girl who always guided her quiet friend, Anri who clung to her. They both could be trusted to listen whenever Kirai spoke though. Kirai their little wraith. The one who would always pull them from trouble before disappearing once again. Jax, the one who always had the answers until he didn’t. Annora the one who would never stop fighting their fate. And Skuld. A leader through and through.
“I miss them all.” Y whispered.
We’re here!
Kamiko remembers!
Missed you too!
Y gasped, looking up again at the three dream eaters with her. They all seemed to be bouncing happily, as if they hadn’t said anything strange at all. Her heart clenched as she looked at each in turn. Slowly piecing together what they meant. She had thought she knew their voices, though they were only echoes in her head.
“Wait,” Y said. Her eyes stopped on the Komory Bat. “Kariya?”
There it is. Somehow he still sounded so sly.
“Saki?” This time the Majik Lapin answered.
Here!
“Anri?”
We’re here. The Me Me Bunny repeated again.
Y felt her heart clench again, her eyes filling with tears as she looked at the dream eaters. Her friends. Still here. After all this time.
Part of her could only be confused. How had they gotten here, and in such a state? They were once wielders but now they were far from it. But the part of her heart that ached outweighed the confusion. She couldn’t help the way she reached for them, pulling them closer to her. She hadn’t had the time to process the missing pieces in her heart. They all felt like fresh wounds, raw and aching. The slightest thing filling her with pain once again. The heavy grief following her the more she remembered from her lives before. But now, there was something that filled the hole, even if just a little.
We’ll remember you. Anri’s soft voice said.
Maybe forever could be found in a dream.
“And I’ll remember you,” Y said. “I won’t ever let you fade.”

Hatred

Book Worms players don't look ❌🪱❌🪱❌🪱❌
Mallory had spent much of her life being grateful. Grateful she survived birth and grateful to be born in a family with the resources to care for her disabilities. Grateful to escape a tragic end and grateful that she didn’t have to escape alone. Grateful that she was able to build a new life for herself in peaceful obscurity.
So why now, after returning after over twenty years, was she feeling so…
She’d been content until a few weeks ago. Made her peace long ago with her many losses. Until a few weeks ago. Until a squadron of Waterdavian officials came into her and Jarah’s home, their nightmare finally brought to reality after years of careful hiding, only rather than picking Jarah up for her long-feared trial, it was Mallory who was whisked away. Back to Greenfast to defend the noble title she’d been forced to flee as a child.
She’d almost wanted to say no, deny any involvement or association so she could keep her fragile peace, but the mystery around that frightening, frantic night had always lingered. And anyway, she could never have denied Jarah the opportunity to go home. So she went with them and Jarah, gratefully, was allowed to accompany her while the officials explained. A troop of adventurers had come through and investigated the manor, seemingly on a whim, and found proof of her mother's dark secret that drove her to kill her husband and would have done the same, the officials addressed Jarah with awkward deference, were it not for the rapid, brave action taken by her governess, who as of course been cleared of all accusation of witchcraft, occult conspiracy, murder, and kidnapping. Jarah said nothing. She was too old to be embarrassed by something she hadn’t done.
And what of her mother? Haunting the home ever since, and haunted by her own dark thoughts enough that her spirit had slipped into the realm of Shadows. All this time? Yes, she killed herself shortly after Mallory’s disappearance.
From the adventurers’ experience in Shadowfell, the officials state delicately, her mother was attempting to bring Darina back.
Of course. Mallory nodded silently; she had no more questions.
Days and miles later, she was in front of her former and future home. It was in poor condition. Fitting, considering she was the only soul left to keep it alive. Once the clerks and clerics and long-forgotten family members agreed that she was who they wanted her to be, she would have the collective inheritance of her father, an only child, and her mother, whose family disowned Mallory’s uncle long ago. A considerable sum, they kept assuring her, trying to assuage their own guilt over her circumstances the only way they could think of. Fortune spared her and brought her right back where she started to make her life right at last and she felt so…ungrateful. There had been a poison infecting her mother’s mind, she could see that now, from whatever dark bargain she made to have children. Her almost manic pride and joy over Darina followed by her catastrophic fall after her death. There was no reason for her life to have been so damned tragic, but she couldn’t see any other way it could have gone, except perhaps to have died with them all. But Mallory was destined, perhaps genuinely, to always be the Other child, just slightly apart. Life ever marred by her mother’s madness.
It wasn’t fair. Mallory let out a sudden frustrated yell and slumped forward into her hands. Her joints hurt. She was mostly crippled and half blind. She couldn’t be in the sun for long without feeling faint and caught a chill when resting in the shade. She wasn’t ever expected to live; why was she expected to carry this burden?
She thought of the people just down the hill, probably listening to her break with the same rabid attention that they’d gossiped and chewed over the remains of her life with. Let them think she was mad too, to hell with it. She’d become a hermit on the top of this cursed hill. Leave her to her own indignation and anger.
“Are you angry at…me?”
Shock struck Mallory so suddenly she nearly choked on it. She straightened up fast enough that her wheelchair squeaked and rocked precariously.
Barely visible in the shade of the house, in front of the cemetery gate, was a young girl, no more than ten with beautiful blond curls and beautiful blue eyes. A perfect and perfectly preserved image of her twin.
Darina was whole, not the mangled mess the wolf attack left her that Mallory wasn’t supposed to see but did, and wearing her favorite pink summer dress despite the late fall chill. And looking so concerned, just like when they were young and Mallory was too sick to play, too sick to go to their lessons. Darina would put the whole world on hold until her sister could be a part of it.
“No…no, no, no,” Mallory promised the ghost in whispers. “None of this is your fault.”
“No,” Darina agreed.
“But it was never… It shouldn’t have been like this.” Her voice shook, and Darina looked at the decrepit house sadly.
“...No.”
What else could she say. Had Darina been here this whole time? She hoped not, gods she hoped not. Or did she just come back for her. Did she hurt, was she cold, was it scary? Did she know what their mother did, for her? Did she miss them? Was it lonely?
Mallory asked none of this. Finally, Darina tilted her head with a small smile.
“Okay?” she asked, and Mallory found herself nodding, unsure what she was agreeing to.
“Oh…Okay.”
Mallory blinked and Darina was gone, as if she'd just been a distortion from her tears. It was getting late, she realized. The shadows were getting long, and the house looked no more or less dismal than before. She took a breath and her chest was still heavy with sour emotions. Her bones were no less warped and her family was no less dead. Mallory scrubbed her face with her hands.
"Okay...So what?" she asked the air. Rolled her eyes. Gave a raspy laugh. Fine, unhelpful child, but she wouldn't keep waiting around here for answers. These days, she apparently had better things to do than wallow in the monument of her mother's crimes.

I had this little sadistic thought for awhile involving a popular franchise and a particular Creepypasta. Anyone familiar with Ben Drowned? For those who don't, short version that the spirit of a drowned child named Ben is stuck in a N64 cartridge of Majora's Mask specifically the creepy Link statue.
A chaotic neutral spirit that tortured the protagonist for triggering the forbidden 4th Day Cheat which tends to wreak havoc on the game. They also deleted Ben's save file which was made before his death. Spirits are attached to certain things from their past life and damaging that pisses them off.
Anyway, what does this have to do with LoZ? In the good timelines Link (Mask in LU terms) either disappears or becomes a Stalfos type ghost. Then we have the Downfall Timeline where he dies in the fight with Ganondorf. Perfect for what I have planned.
Link in the 2nd part of OoT is a child in an adult body. He never lived those seven years that he was asleep for. Once Link dies, he doesn't stay dead for long. The dark magic from Ganondorf and the negative emotions he held turns him into a spirit, specifically a Yurei. These are vengeful spirits that often manifest from a murdered soul, entities unable to rest in peace.
Link ends up becoming a Yurei and severely injures Ganon before being repelled from the castle. If you guys are wondering how he died, the dark wizard drowns him in rain water. Link has wander the living realm for so long that he forgotten his name. He was soon given the name of Ben.
Form wise, Ben looks like child!Link but his eyes are completely white, teeth are jaggedly sharp and he has claws for fingers. His eyes will turn red as his face becomes engulf in shadows when angered. If enraged, he takes on a twisted and more demon form. Kinda like the FNF version from the Mic of Time mod.
Tumblr media
Ben is chaotic neutral. Don't upset or anger him then you're fine. Touchy subjects can only be approached by someone whose close to him. Possessive enough that he attaches himself to those who grab his interest, trust or intrigue. Can be befriended.
Hates the rain, being called 'Link' and certain words or names like Lost Woods, Saria, etc. Likes playing games, pulling pranks and music. Okay with ocarina music.
Ben is present in the Downfall Timeline and Breath of the Wild's era although he could potentially pop up in Hyrule Warriors as well. As for Linked Universe, hehehe.
That's all I have for now! Until next time folks, I'll see you back in Hyrule.

A Slightly Different Path:
Killer Capsize.
When Redbeard is about to be taken into the Shadows’ Realm, Ianite manages to stop him from being taken, casting the Shadows away if only temporarily. In the time that he is spared the horrors of the Shadows’ Realm, Capsize is left completely alone at the mercy of Furia who slowly becomes more vicious. After what feels like hundreds of deaths, Capsize begins to lose the sparks of hope she still had left. As she dies death after death, she stops attempting to figure out escape mentions, only still running from Furia in the trials to avoid more pain. It gets to the point where she’s praying to anyone that might listen for a way to make it stop. And then, when she’s alone in the camp, a voice responds to her desperation.
The Shadows begin whispering to her, offering a way to stop the deaths. They pray on her weakening resolve, telling her that everyone believes she’s dead, that no one else is coming to save her. And as these words invade her mind, the tiny fragments of hope she’d been clinging to fading, she begins sobbing, begging for anything they can offer. For a moment, every moment of pain floods through her body, the final opening that the Shadows use to enter and corrupt her mind.
Now stalking an impossible drained ocean, Capsize flickers between the forms of her different deaths, sometimes looking almost unrecognisable and sometimes it being impossible to ignore who she really is. The area is centred around a shipwreck of her original ship, surrounded by corals, seagrass, and the last reminds of water in tiny tide pools. She wields a trident that flickers between different states of broken just as her physical form.
Having been corrupted in a moment of terrible pain and desperation, Capsize now acts as a vengeful spirit, believing that those she’s chasing are responsible for abandoning her to a painful death, only vaguely recognising those she knew previously. She can teleport via the tide pools, melting anyway from her current location as if she turned to water. When a survivor witnesses her teleport, it starts to feel like they’re slowly drowning. A drowning survivor can stop the effect by leaving an offering in a tidal pool, though this takes time out of completing the tasks they need to do to escape its the far safer option as leaving themself in the state for too long will result in Capsize knowing exactly where they are at all times.
Survivor Tom.
Tom’s latent godly powers bring him into the Shadow’s Realm in a far different way than Dianite possessing his body. One night during a blood moon, he begins to hear a voice begging for her pain to stop. And he recognises that voice. Tom rushes out into the darkness, dodging a ridiculous number of monsters as he tries to find where Capsize is. Given the darkness, he doesn’t even realise that he’s quickly surrounded by a shadowy fog until he’s in a campsite watching the friend he thought was dead get consumed by shadows and disappear. And Tom has never been more determined to defeat the Shadows than in that moment.
He isn’t alone for longer than a few trials, Redbeard appearing to a mixture of happiness and absolute horror from Tom. But in his downtime, he finds things left behind by Capsize, getting the general idea of what’s going on and just how long she was alone. When all the other survivors (and killers) eventually appear, he is very clear that he’s not interested in escaping until he can save all the killers from their fate. He’s pretty aggressive about this goal, to the point of causing arguments with those who would prefer the focus be on escaping.
In the trials, he has special focus on escaping once caught. When he’s in a chase, he can create noises around a hiding area as if he entered it, hiding his continued running, leading to (ideally) the killer getting confused and losing him. When he is caught and being carried by the killer, he has a far greater chance than any of his fellow survivors to escape their grasp, his thrashing and wriggling throwing off the killer's movements. He’s also managed to figure out how to channel his godly abilities, if only to produce a small shining light for a limited amount of time. When he shines it at the killers, it can blind them for a short amount of time, and if done at the right moment, it can make them let go of someone they’ve managed to catch.

Chapter 14: The Ink Demon.
-Break the cycle-
Audrey made her way down the hall.
When making a turn, there was a giant gap in the floor. There was absolutely no way she’d make that. The woman sighed and turned back.
Instead, she crawled into a tight vent.
When exiting, there was another locked door. The animator had no issue busting the lock off and making her way through the hall.
The lights shut off one by one. Audrey stopped and felt uneasy. As the last light dwindled away, the animators own eyes was her only source of light now.
"The Dark Puddles awaken." A voice boomed off the walls, the entire room shook. Audrey too began to vibrate. The voice snarled and gargled.
Audrey continued to feel brave. Whatever was speaking to her, she’d make sure to stay out of its way.
She opened the door at the end of the hall, and proceeded forward. Busting another lock, the voice spoke again.
"A voice, a soul. The ink speaks to me. It whispers your secrets." A shadow disappeared at the end of the hall. Right where Audrey needed to go. She hesitated before proceeding forward.
The girl crouched into another vent, candles lit the way.
"Who are you?" The voice demanded, the vent shook beneath Audrey. The girl almost fell back.
"Tell me your sweet name, that I may devour it." The voice continued to demand. Audrey rushed out of the cramped space, trying her best to ignore the voice and keep moving.
She quickly made her way down some stairs. The place shook as she entered, knocking some boxes over. She quickened her pace. Audrey made her way into another hallway. A lever needed to be pulled to proceed. She felt very uneasy but attempted to pull the lever anyways. It wouldn’t budge.
The girl felt paranoid, and looked to her right.
Nothing
She sighed and turned her attention back to the lever. The artist tried giving it another firm tug. Still wouldn’t budge.
She turned her head again. A large figure now stood in the doorway. The girl gasped and put both hands on the lever, she pulled it hard but it still wouldn’t budge.
The demon growled, on instinct Audrey turned her head again only to see the demon was getting closer. They could barely fit through the hallway. Audrey kept tugging, until the lever finally budged.
Heavy footsteps approached, Audrey bolted towards the door and dived out. When turning back around the demon reached for her. She quickly shut the door onto its clawed hand. It’s hand slithered back behind the door. Allowing Audrey to shut it properly.
It snarled and growled, the artist took many steps back. The demon banged on the door.
That, was the Ink Demon.
Audrey needed to find those pictures quickly, she couldn’t waste any time.
Audrey walked through the environment quickly, but also cautiously. Her heart raced, and the walls boomed beside her.
There was a drawing on the desk, she quickly stored it into her bag and proceeded forward.
"Our ink swells and boils, it consumes." The voice boomed into Audreys mind once more. The walls, floorboards and Audrey herself all vibrated harshly as the demon spoke.
"I am the Ink Demon. This realm is ours. You were born from it. You belong to it." The Demon gargled.
Our?
Audrey then remembered there were two creatures that ruled this realm. She already has to deal with one, if the other comes around she’d lose it.
The animator picked up another picture, the walls shook violently when doing so. Heavy hooves approached. The artist stumbled to find a hiding spot, she crammed herself inside a broken barrel and watched as the ink demon walked by her.
When it turned the corner, she came out and continued to proceed in the opposite direction.
The animator became paranoid of her own footsteps.
She smashed a weak vent and ventured in it. When exiting, another picture was found. She picked it up and kept moving.
Audrey snuck around, she saw the Ink Demon search for her, but luckily he never saw her.
She entered a room with many desks, and a lost one sat lifeless on the floor.
Another picture, Audrey took it. She heard heavy hooves again and scrambled into a closet. The Ink Demon passed by her again, he was so tall that only his waist was seen within the closets gaps. They turned another corner, Audrey took this chance and snuck out. She crouched into another vent.
Just one more picture.
Just one more.
Audrey continued to wander around before plopping herself inside a room. The last picture laid before her. She grabbed it and made her way into another vent.
While inside, the roof caved in. Audrey quickly moved aside and proceeded forward much faster.
Audrey exited the vent, and found herself leaving that awful area. She sighed in relief.
"You cannot hide forever. I will find you." The voice gargled, Audrey quickly made her way out.
She placed the pictures onto the canvases. The lost one from earlier came out and ran towards them, he completely failed to acknowledge Audrey.
Not even a thank you? The artist didn’t really mind, at least she could get through now. She entered the artistic lost ones room and picked up a note.
When she finished she couldn’t help but laugh.
She proceeded forward into the 'screening room'

Facets: Chapter Six
Summary: A great evil stirs from the depths of the Demon Realm, and when it affects every single universe, it’s up to Ive to stop it...
Author Notes: ok i guess this is the new post format lol. great news for me, who just wants to post!  ive sent the raw script to people before and they seemed to enjoy it nonetheless so im just gonna assume the best here :) hope you enjoy this chapter, its also one of my favorites..!
--
Shot begins by showing the World of the Kais in Universe A.  The palette is very warm and yellow/orange.  ZERAC and YARHI are walking together towards that signature giant tree that kais seem to have.
YARHI The planets seem to be stabilizing with the resources we’ve given them.  Slowly, yes, but surely.  I think you made the right decision.
ZERAC looks troubled.
ZERAC I hate changing the way we’ve done things after so long...but, if the Omni-King is pleased with the results, then I suppose the change was necessary after all.
YARHI Maybe once the current planets are healthy enough, we could start repopulating the other planets?  That would add more life to our universe and possibly increase the mortal level.
ZERAC Yes…  I suppose that would be fine.  While we’re at it, we should look into appointing a new Supreme Kai for the east quadrant so that you don’t have to take up all the work anymore.
TAORETA (off-screen) How thoughtful of you.
ZERAC and YARHI turn to look behind them.  They suddenly look mortified.
ZERAC Y-you…?!
Shot shows part of TAORETA, but doesn’t reveal his face, yet.
TAORETA (off-screen) Are you surprised to see me?  You didn’t think me gone forever, did you?
ZERAC What do you want?  Are you here to take revenge on me after all this time?
TAORETA doesn’t answer.  He suddenly darts past ZERAC and stabs YARHI through the chest with a red energy sword.  YARHI falls to the ground dead, and ZERAC turns to look at him fearfully.  ZERAC then collapses to the ground, also dead.  Shot pans up to show TAORETA shrouded in shadow, but his eyes are showing menacingly.
TAORETA You’re only part of my problem, now.
Shot changes to show MOJA chilling with POLI beside him.  He yawns.
MOJA Hey, Poli.  I’d like to check up on Zerac to see how he’s doing.  I wanna know if he’s actually keeping his word.  He’s probably with his kai, knowing him.
POLI Of course, Lord Moja.
POLI lowers her staff so that MOJA can see into the crystal ball on its end.  A projection of Universe A’s World of the Kais can be seen within it, but nobody is there.
MOJA Hm…  Nobody’s there.  Try Universe B; maybe they’re visiting.
POLI Yes, Lord Moja.
The scene in the ball changes to Universe B’s World of the Kais.  No one’s there, either.  MOJA looks kind of concerned.
MOJA …  That’s strange.  Try Universe C.
This time, when Poli shows Universe C’s World of the Kais, they’re able to catch a glimpse of TAORETA standing over IAMA’s dead body.  He suddenly disappears and IAMA dissolves away.  MOJA stiffens.
MOJA Poli, did you see that?  Quick, view Universe H.
POLI changes the scene to Universe H.  This time, they see TAORETA slaying SIRI with his sword like he did the others.  When MOJA sees this, he looks horrified.
MOJA That person…!  They’re picking off the Grand Supreme Kais of each universe!  But, why…?
IVE walks up to them when he senses something’s up.
IVE What’s going on?
MOJA Ive, come with me.  We’re going to Universe Z right now.  The Grand Supreme Kais of each universe are being targeted and killed.  We must go to Roxa so he can hopefully help stop this.
IVE R-right, okay!
Cut to ROXA’s home, which is very bright and white-themed I guess.  Sparkly maybe.  Anyway ROXA is just walking around when MOJA calls out to him.
MOJA Roxa!!
ROXA turns to face him.
ROXA Oh, Moja…  I didn’t expect you to visit.  What brings you here?
MOJA looks winded because he power-walked over there.
MOJA Roxa, something serious is happening.  The kais of each universe are being killed off.  You need to go to your kai immediately and make sure they’re safe, and then we need to contact the Grand Priest to see if he can help us.
ROXA looks serious.
ROXA I see…  This is serious, then.  Very well.  I will go to my kai immediately.  You should make sure yours is safe as well.
MOJA Right.  Come on, Ive.
As MOJA, IVE, and POLI turn to leave, ROXA suddenly locks up.  IVE happens to look back and see him.
IVE Lord Roxa…?
ROXA …  A…  Adonis…
ROXA then collapses to the ground, apparently dead.  This freaks everyone out.
MOJA We have to go.  Now!
Cut to POLI, MOJA, and IVE travelling through space in the teleporting beam thing angels use.  IVE looks nervous.
IVE I don’t understand.  Who would be targeting the kais?  And, why?
MOJA The Grand Supreme Kai is lifelinked to their God of Destruction.  To kill the kai is to kill the destroyer.  I think that’s why they’re targeting them.  As for who they are...I think I know.
IVE You do?  Who is it?
MOJA looks serious.
MOJA His name is Taoreta.  He was the East Supreme Kai for Universe A a very long time ago.  He was never happy about how things were run there, so he tried to voice his concerns to Zerac one day.  But Zerac didn’t listen to him and instead cast him out to the Demon Realm.  From the looks of things, he’s survived after all this time and become very powerful.  I think he’s back for revenge not only on Zerac but on the other gods as well.
Cut to MARDUK strolling around in Universe X’s World of the Kais.
MOJA Marduk!!
MARDUK turns to see MOJA and the others running towards him.
MARDUK Lord Moja?  What brings you here?
MOJA I’ll explain later.  You’re in danger.  You must come with me at once.  I’ll tell you everything once you’re safe.
MARDUK …  I see.  Very well, then.
MOJA and the others turn to leave.  Shot shows MARDUK starting to follow them when suddenly TAORETA’s shadowy figure appears behind him.  IVE once again happens to turn around and see this.
IVE Marduk, behind—!!
IVE is too late.  TAORETA stabs his sword through MARDUK’s chest, killing him.  As he falls to the ground, it finally shows TAORETA’s face looking menacing.  IVE looks terrified.  He slowly turns to look at MOJA, who has locked up.
IVE Lord...Moja…?
MOJA suddenly collapses.
MOJA Ive…  Get...out of here…
IVE is very much traumatized.  He starts to panic.  TAORETA is laughing in the background.
TAORETA And that makes all of them.  That wasn’t too hard.
IVE looks to POLI for help.
POLI Ive, hold him back here.  I’m going to contact the Grand Priest and tell him what’s happening.  I need you to do this for me, alright?
IVE swallows and nods, and POLI teleports away. IVE then turns to look at TAORETA.
IVE …  W-why…  Why are you doing this?
TAORETA I was simply delivering to them what they’ve all had coming for a long time.  With them out of the way, there’s no one to stop me from cleaning up the messes these negligent gods have allowed to happen.
IVE clenches his fists.
IVE You…  You won’t get away with this.  You won’t get away with killing Lord Moja!
TAORETA Aww, were you close to him?  That’s unfortunate.  I know what it’s like to lose a dear friend.  But, I guess I also learned that friends don’t mean anything in the end.  You’re better off without them if you ask me.
IVE That’s not true!!
IVE goes Super Saiyan Albedo.
TAORETA Ooh, that’s a pretty powerful transformation you’ve got there.  Alright, I’ll humor you for a bit.  Show me what you’ve got.
IVE launches himself at TAORETA, and they begin to fight.  TAORETA parries and blocks most of IVE’s attacks, dodging the others.  He knocks IVE back, sending him skidding through the grass a few yards away.
TAORETA You know, we haven’t even been formally introduced, yet.
IVE I know who you are!  You’re Taoreta, the East Supreme Kai of Universe A that got cast out to the Demon Realm.  Moja told me before you killed him!
TAORETA Oh?  Impressive, so I am known even outside of my old universe.  I’m flattered.  But, there is one detail he seems to have left out.
TAORETA then teleports behind IVE.  He then kicks him hard in the back, sending him flying.  He teleports again and catches him by the neck before punching him in the face and sending him off elsewhere.  He meets him in the air and starts landing a flurry of punches on him before slamming him into the ground with one big swipe.  IVE gets up on his hands and knees, trembling, and TAORETA lands in front of him.
TAORETA …  I’ve also become King of the Demon Realm.  You should consider yourself lucky; it should be considered a great honor to be able to go toe to toe with the king of all demons and witness my power firsthand.  It’s unfortunate that I must cut your time with me short, though.
TAORETA holds out a hand, aiming it at IVE.
TAORETA Goodbye, friend.
TAORETA then releases a huge, dark energy blast that totally envelops IVE, leaving smoke and dust in its wake.  He turns around and dusts himself off.
TAORETA I suppose I should take care of the lower Supreme Kais while I’m at it, just to make sure things go smoothly…
Suddenly, he’s hit with an energy ball from behind, which catches him off-guard.  He turns to see IVE standing in the dissipating smoke, holding his arm out and sort of hunching.  He looks unscathed otherwise.
TAORETA Fascinating…  An immortal saiyan.  That’s something I didn’t expect to see.  No matter…  Immortality is nothing in the face of my power.
TAORETA and IVE launch at each other again and start going at it, exchanging blow after blow (TAORETA is once again dodging everything while IVE gets pummeled basically).  Eventually, IVE gets knocked down again.  He tries to get back up, but TAORETA pins him down with his boot and laughs.
TAORETA I suppose I’ll just have to keep beating you until you break and realize that fighting me is useless.  It shouldn’t take long...though, I dearly hope it does.
IVE clenches his fists and looks panicked.
IVE (thinking) There has to be something I can do…!  If I don’t stop him here, he’ll take over the whole cosmos…!  If only Lord Moja were here to tell me what to do…!
As TAORETA laughs again, GRAND ZEN-OH suddenly pops in, like with the sound effect and everything.  That shuts TAORETA up with shock, and he stares up at the little being.
TAORETA Z-Zen-oh…?!
GRAND ZEN-OH You’re the one that’s been causing trouble, aren’t you?
TAORETA is speechless with fear. GRAND ZEN-OH You have to go now.  Bye.
GRAND ZEN-OH holds up their hand and closes it.  TAORETA screams as he’s erased, and he’s gone, just like that.  IVE gets up onto his hands and knees, looking up at GRAND ZEN-OH.
GRAND ZEN-OH Are you with him, too?
IVE N-no…!  I was trying to stop him.
GRAND ZEN-OH Mmmmm.  Okay.  Good job.  I go now.  Bye.
And they’re gone as fast as they came.  IVE gets up and looks around, seeming dejected and not knowing what to do.  Suddenly, ENLIL comes running up to him.
ENLIL Ive!
IVE looks back at her.
IVE Enlil…?
ENLIL Is Taoreta gone?
IVE Y-yeah.  Grand Zen-oh came and made him disappear, just like that.
ENLIL That’s a relief.  We were worried he’d start to come after us next.
IVE So you know about Marduk and Moja?
ENLIL Yes.  All of us learned very quickly once the Grand Supreme Kai died.
IVE looks sadly at the ground.  ENLIL pats his back reassuringly.
ENLIL Don’t worry.  I think I know of a way to bring everyone back and fix all this.
IVE You do…?  What is it?
ENLIL There are these objects called the super dragon balls that will grant you any wish you ask for if they’re all gathered.  I can locate them all, and we can use them to wish everyone back to life.
IVE looks hopeful, now.
IVE You can do that?  What are we waiting for, then?  Let’s go find them!
Shot shows a view of the large tree in the World of the Kais, then cuts to IVE and ENLIL in space with all the super dragon balls in front of them.  The dragon that comes from the super dragon balls emerges in front of them so I’ll have to design that eventually.
ENLIL Efil ot kcab ateroat yb nials sdog eht fo lla gnirb ot uoy rof hsiw i, peas and carrots!
The dragon’s eyes glow red, and the kais and destroyers from various universes can be seen waking up and looking around, including ROXA and MOJA.  Focus on MOJA and MARDUk getting up in confusion.  IVE and ENLIL are running towards them.
IVE Lord Moja!!
MOJA Ive…?  What happened?  How are we alive?
IVE We used the super dragon balls to wish you all back!
MOJA Is that so?  What happened to Taoreta, then?
IVE I...couldn’t defeat him.  But, Grand Zen-oh came and took care of him, so everything’s okay now.
MOJA G-Grand Zen-oh…?!
MOJA sighs tiredly.
MOJA You are one lucky kid, you know that?
IVE smiles happily, glad to have MOJA back.

The Imperian Earth is a homebrew campaign I made for my friends. It takes place ten years after the events of my (unwritten) book.
Since none of my friends follow me here, I am free to share all of my notes and ideas before I end up accidentally spilling it all with them.
Also, fun fact about the campaign, all the canon gods of dnd don't exist yet. The only ones that exist is Imperia, the creator of all, and the seven Imperian Lords.
Anyways, here's the backstory of the campaign and the starting point for my players that no one asked for. I might post more information about my campaign and possibly even the previous sessions. We're still in the first half of the campaign where the guys are searching for all seven champions (they've found 2 right now).
"The world was created by the God of Creation, Imperia. His brother, Raggil, was the God of Destruction and Chaos. Before the creation of the 8 Lords, many worshiped both Gods, but Imperia had the greater following.
His younger brother was often cast as evil. This led to the stories we now know of how Raggil was a dythian god. Unfortunately, those stories began to scare many people, and they turned away from him, no longer worshiping him. That angered the younger brother, and he began to envy Imperia for being favoured. Out of spite, he created a large monster that would wreak havoc amongst the people of Ontaia and vanquish anyone who stood against him. Imperia put a stop to the monster's mayhem, and he banished Raggil from the Lords Realm. After doing so, Imperia feared his younger brother would revolt against him, so he created the Imperian Lords, eight Lords that looked after the world. These Lords also created champions, people who are gifted with the power of a Lord.
Unbeknownst to anyone, Raggil began to try and regain his power. He was able to brainwash Melchior, the eighth Lord of Time and Space. Upon doing so, Melchior, now known as Orchid, turned evil, and this started the Imperian War.
In the end, Orchid was banished from the Lords Realm, stripped of his power and turned into a mere shadow. Thousands of years later, Raggil began to ‘help’ Orchid in regaining his power. What the Fallen Lord didn’t know was that Raggil was using him to gain power once more. First, Orchid began to build his follower group. The more followers he had, the more powerful he became. He then began to corrupt leaders and turn people against each other. Orchid got stronger the more death he caused.
But the Lords were prepared. They selected seven individuals to become the new Champions. These champions were known as the heroes of Myphs. They defeated dragons, overthrew corrupt kings, conquered dungeons, and liberated countries. They became role models for mortality.
Over their adventures, they grew stronger and gained new allies. When they faced Orchid, they were unstoppable. Using their abilities given to them by the Imperian Lords, the Champions faced off against Orchid countless times, driving him back and slowly stripping him of the strength he had earned.
The Champions were successful in defeating Orchid in their last encounter. The Fallen Lord was no match for these new Champions, and he fled before they could end him. He returned to Raggil and begged for another chance at defeating the Champions. Raggil no longer needed Orchid, however. He agreed and then killed Orchid by ripping his heart out. The God of destruction and chaos absorbed Orchid’s soul and power, making him far more powerful than he ever had been before.
The Champions engaged in an epic battle against Raggil, using their abilities to defeat him, once and for all. Raggil was imprisoned for eternity in the Under Realm.
Unfortunately, the Champions were considered the law. Many people believed that they needed to bring peace and began to even target the Champions when they didn't comply.
Ten years later, the Champions have all but disappeared. No one knows where they are, and any who's location is known are unreachable. Many followers have turned their backs on the Champions and attacked anyone who tried to stand up for the Heroes."

Izanami knew of her beloved’s hunger. She knew he preferred to hide himself away, pretend he didn’t feel the aches and pangs of starvation. She knew he would never take what she didn’t offer.
She knew he cared for her more than anything.
Once upon a time, they had sworn to each other never to grow attached, to remain accquaintences and nothing more. Oh, how beautiful the shards of that shattered promise were.
Yes, once they had promised to never grow close. But what they had now, the give-and-take, the push-and-pull, was far better. Far prettier, stained red and white from blood and bone.
Beautiful was the word her beloved had used on her. Unnerving was the word others used on her. Where others saw disgusting flaws, her beloved only saw more things to worship, to trace with delicate fingers and eyes fixed on nothing else.
Her beloved liked the roughness of her palms when she held his hand, still soft despite the gun he wielded. Her beloved always returned her smile when she wrinkled her nose and showed too much teeth. Her beloved commented on the shadows under her eyes, asked her if she had slept.
Her beloved showed her a smile when he showed others a snarl. Her beloved never took more than she offered when he bit and shredded others for fun. Her beloved held her like a treasure, gentle and delicate in a way she had grown painfully used to.
As payment for his devotion, for his love and kindness, she offered what she could to him, to satiate his hunger. He was starved, she knew. He ached for something to fill that void, and she was the one who could. She was the one who could give him what he wanted, what he needed.
It was dangerous, getting close to a mortal as she was. Becoming attached. She was playing with fire with her beloved, holding him close, showing him every disgusting part of her, letting him trail his fingers over them and love her anyways.
But she refused to leave. She would never leave him. Even when he was dead and gone, disappeared into the depths of her realm, she would never leave him. She would find him and hold him close again.
She would never leave him.
haha.... tumblr deleted my paragraph response.... hahahahha.... i love tumblr so much.. 😀😀😀😀😀😀😀😀😀😀😀😀😀😀😀😀😀😀😀😀😀😀😀😀😀😀😀😀😀😀i am not rewriting all of that im sorry. i am NOT in the headspace

6! 😁
Thanks for the ask! Ooo... "Ildia's Story." So this is actually something I started working on August of 2021. It was actually the second story I started writing after my two rough drafts titled "A Chance Encounter" that would expand into "The Ballad of Kass." While writing this story, I got to a point where I referenced the events of "Tale of the Realm Walker" and decided it would be better to go ahead and write that story before spoiling it by posting this one. That turned from the "Cliff's Notes" version of TotRW to me basically making a whole freaking Zelda game (plot wise anyway). Still haven't written the last chapter of it and am on my fourth (I think) incarnation of it...
ANYWAY... Here's a little clip from "Ildia's Story." Putting it below the cut. Ildia arrives in a new Realm and is immediately forced to defend herself. (It's a little long...) Could spoil "The Amnesiac Hero's Quest" a little if you haven't read enough of "The Ballad of Kass" (or haven't been subjected to me rambling about this project for some time lol!).
Ildia arrives on the other side of the portal and steps forward a few times.  It appears to be early morning and she’s in the ruins of a plaza by the looks of the place.  She walks past the ruins of a pillar and hears an ominous “bong” behind her, to the northwest.  She turns to face the source of the sound and sees what looks like an upside-down urn next to a downed pillar.  Parts of the object are glowing purple and the top part spins around until a glowing blue mechanical eye is looking at her.
She hears another “bong” and turns towards the sound, to the east. Another one of these machines has spotted her, this one between the remains of two archways.  It emits a red light at her and makes a beeping sound.  She looks down and sees two red dots on her “Oh shit!”
Her body, save for her eyes, turns black as night and she disappears into a nearby shadow.  The machines fire blue-white laser beams where she was standing, impacting the ground in a pair of thunderous explosions.  After the smoke clears the machine near the downed pillar realizes it has missed and the top part begins turning, searching for its target.
Ildia emerges from a shadow behind the machine, and notices a pool of collected rainwater below.  She draws the sword on her left hip with her right hand.  The flat of the blade is black as night with light blue glowing lines running across it, while the edge is a dark gray color.  This sword was made for her what feels like forever ago when she first set out to complete her father’s mission, and seek revenge on the abomination that took him from her.
She moves from cover to face the machine behind her and it spots her.  As it begins charging another beam, she plunges her sword into the machine’s “eye” delivering an apparently fatal blow as the machine begins making strange noises and she jumps back as it explodes in a blue flash of light!
Maybe it was her imagination but it looks like something emerged from the machine a couple of moments before it was destroyed.  She walks up to the debris left in the machine’s wake: a gear, some screws, some kind of crystal, black with yellow bits.  She picks up the crystal, “This energy feels familiar…”  She dematerializes the items with Twili magic then fades back into shadow.
Over by the other machine, she emerges from its shadow.  Once again, the machine notices her and begins charging an attack and she quickly stabs it in the “eye”.  Paying closer attention, three purple swirls of energy leave the machine before it explodes.  “Was that a Beamos,” she thinks to herself, “And what was that energy that left before it exploded, it had such a hateful aura…”  More beeping, coming from the south!
She turns and sees a machine like the ones she just fought, only this one has intact legs, moving like some kind of octopus/spider robot.  “Definitely not a Beamos…” she thinks to herself as it bears down on her.
She quickly fades into a nearby shadow before it fires.  After a beat she emerges from the shadow behind the machine.   Using Twili magic, she materializes a shield, its surface polished to a mirror like sheen.  “I hope this works,” she thinks to herself as she readies the shield on her left arm.  She charges the machine and slices at one of its legs, severing it.  Blue sparks spew from the socket the limb was once attached to.
The machine recoils and turns its top towards her and it begins charging an attack and moving away from her.  She raises the shield and slowly advances towards the machine.  It fires and the beam reflects off the shield and strikes the machine, damaging but not destroying it.  Using the slim opening she calls upon the power of the Pegasus Boots infused into her armored greaves and rushes forward almost faster than the eye can see and severs another limb!
Again, the machine recoils from the attack and starts backing away, preparing to fire again. “Relentless, aren’t you,” she comments aloud and raises her shield again.  Predictably it fires again and the beam is reflected, damaging it but not destroying it.  She rushes forward again, severing another limb and knocking it on its side.
The machine begins struggling to right itself.  Taking advantage of the opening, Ildia leaps on top of the machine and quickly stabs it in the eye.  Finally, the machine explodes in a bright flash of light.  Like before there’s a pile of debris, a few screws, another gear, some sort of shaft, a spring.  Not only that but some debris was left behind by the severed limbs.  She picks up the objects and dematerializes them with her Twili magic. Then she walks back to the pile left behind by the second immobile machine and recovers those parts as well.
With the excitement over, Ildia looks around for several moments until she’s sure there’s no threat and dematerializes the shield.  “Now where’s the beacon?” she asks herself as holds her sword straight out in front of her, pointing north.  Light blue glowing lines form a broken circle around the tip of her blade and she slowly turns herself around, but when she faces towards where she arrived the lines disappear completely.  “That’s odd,” she thinks to herself and walks towards the center of the area.  There’s naught but a large mound of dirt.
“There’s something buried here,” she realizes, “Something powerful enough to interfere with my dowsing…”  She sheathes her blade and looks around.  Off in the distance, to the northeast she can make out a large structure.  “Is that Hyrule Castle?” she wonders, but something’s off, even from this distance she can see a dark aura around the structure, black and purple energy swirling around it.
“No choice, at least there’s no one around,” she thinks to herself as she puts her hand over the gem inserted into the blade’s pommel and it and the crystal in the guard begin to glow.  Her body is surrounded in darkness before shrinking slightly, she gets down on all fours and after a moment the darkness fades and she has assumed the form of a wolf, like the Hero of Twilight, her father.
Ildia’s wolf form is mostly covered in black fur with light blue glowing lines running through it.  Her underside and paws are blue-grey while her eyes remain the same color.  She takes off towards the northeast, running as fast as she can.  She passes through a small forest and can see one of the machines patrolling to her left.  Either it didn’t spot her or it doesn’t attack animals because it pays her no mind.  She continues on for what feels like forever until she comes across a road, or at least a depression that was once a road.  In front of her is a rock outcropping, which she stops in front of.  She reverts to her true form and climbs the rock.
From the top of the rock Ildia can see the huge castle.  It’s like something out of a nightmare! The castle is surrounded by massive black stone pillars with purple lights emerging from the ground and the ruins of a town are in front of the castle, the entire scene surrounded by an ominous, dark aura.  She pulls out what looks like a bird mask, the Hawkeye tool her father once used.  She looks around the ruins: little more than piles of rubble where buildings once stood, more of those machines patrolling, pools of ominous purple and black slime, some of those pools have spike like structures sticking out of them.
She takes a closer look at the pillars; they appear similar in construction to the machines.   There are a few new machines flying around, they look like the others but upside down with three propellers keeping them airborne and searchlights pointed at the ground, “They kinda look like Peahats,” she muses before turning her attention to what looks like a ruined fountain in what was once the town center, something’s sticking out of the fountain.
It’s a little hard to tell, but it definitely looks like the Hyrule Royal Family’s crest.  Looking at the castle itself it appears to have been attacked a long time ago, abnormal protrusions sticking from certain areas, like larger versions of those spikes sticking out of those slime pools.  “Just what kind of nightmare have I walked into here?” she thinks to herself, “This can’t be Ganon’s work.  This aura feels so much worse.  Demise maybe, no that’s impossible…”
Ildia takes the Hawkeye off and dematerializes it.  She shakes her head and takes a deep breath before unsheathing her right-hand sword again.  Once again, she holds it out in front of her and magic lines form a broken circle.  Like before she turns around, but this time the lines slowly form a complete circle, although there are more lines branching off the circle’s circumference, “Hmm…  Something’s interfering with the signal.  Looks like it is pretty far away too…”  She sheathes the sword again and touches the gem in the pommel and again it glows as does the crystal in the guard, and once again she is surrounded by darkness.  This time however, she shrinks even more, assuming the form of a hawk!
Like before her hawk form is mostly covered in black feathers with glowing blue elements, with a blue-grey underside.  She takes off in the direction of the most complete circle, east-southeast.  After flying for some time Hawk Ildia reaches a mountain split in two.  “No real signs of civilization so far,” she thinks to herself, “Just ruins everywhere…”  Then something catches her eye and she looks down.  An intact building!  There’s a pen with horses, some people moving around outside of the building.  “Finally, signs of civilization!” she thinks, “Wait, is that a Rito?”  In front of the building there is a humanoid bird playing an accordion in front of a pair of Hylian children.  The Rito is covered in light blue feathers and has a parrot-like face, but his clothes look very different than she remembers Rito clothes looking.  A memory pops into her head, “He kinda looks like Salli…”

I see that the asks are opened well here's an ask of mine, could you do fnaf 1 group + shadow Freddy, 39 (fnw39) and Marinette with reader who is a cyborg or reader who is a shadow creature that can shadow warp and take forms that look like the others but the only sustenance they can get is eating souls of the night guards and blood and is slient for awhile until they say a word after becoming friends with them
FNAF 1 (Freddy, Bonnie, Chica, Foxy, Golden Freddy)
The main band found you lurking after hours when they killed a nightguard.
Bonnie noticed you in the backroom, staring at the spare Freddy suit that held their corpse...only for you to suddenly vanish in a blur of shadows.
He goes in and finds out the suit’s not leaking as much red like his once did.
Turns out, you took the guard’s blood (and soul) for sustenance.
But you can’t take the children’s souls within the animatronics since you can only absorb them from living humans.
Besides, their souls had latched onto their metal/fabric vessels rather tightly, making it impossible anyway.
So instead, you decide to stay and introduce yourself to the group, entertaining them with your shadow tricks.
You’d turn into a Shadow Foxy to roleplay as Foxy’s first mate or “evil twin”.
Usually you’re silent, but for the sake of making your new friends smile, you do talk a little bit while roleplaying.
At some point, you did see Golden Freddy at the back of the dining room, watching the show. But he disappears before you can get a closer look.
Turns out you’re not the only enigma.
Shadow Freddy
When he sees you around the pizzeria, he’s thinking ‘okay who else died in the springlock suit???’
But you remain elusive and he's puzzled st your behavior.
Why do you shapeshift into shadows of the other animatronics and patrons??
Why do you take the souls of nightguards and feast on their blood??
Meanwhile Shadow Bonnie became bffs with you and doesn’t seem bothered by this. He even says you talk! (even tho you’ve only said “hello” to him once as a Shadow BB).
So one day Shadow Freddy visits you while you’re a Shadow Toy Freddy and asks if you’re a deceased springlock victim.
You just shrug (with RXQ adding that you need some time to warm up to him).
In time you do, and you make small talk with the purplish bear.
39 the Bunny
As a rabbit who gets scared by a literal “Spook” button--he’s probably gonna cry, scream, and throw up when he sees you.
Especially when you mimic him as a prank. You don’t mean to. You’re just trying to test the limits of your shadow abilities.
But it’s sometimes funny seeing him trip over ladders as he runs away. Though bc you feel bad, you’ll warp those obstacles out of existence.
Plushie39 likes you and thinks 39′s a total pussy and forces him to befriend you since he wouldn’t shut up about having no friends.
Eventually you work up the courage to make conversation with him, saying a simple “hey”.
Bro is flabbergasted.
“Oi!!! You speak!!!! And here I was thinkin’ you were some silent stalker or somethin’.”
He gets a boop on the nose for his rudeness.
Puppet
As the guardian of the pizzeria, she notices all the paranormal stuff that happens.
Including how the dead nightguards (who were killed by mistake) were left without souls and blood, becoming nothing more than husks overnight.
And there’s of course you taking on the forms of animatronics, herself included, and her curiosity about you is ever growing.
Soon she does find you lurking around the Prize Corner, admiring the plushies.
Wondering what you’ll do, she lets you hold one and sees you cradle it, before smiling at her.
“Thanks.” Is all you whisper before vanishing back into your shadow realm and taking the plushie with you.
Huh. You’re definitely fascinating. Neither human nor animatronic. She knows she'll see you again soon.

The Brothers Comfort MC During a Panic Attack
This is my first attempt at writing down my headcanons for the brothers, so I apologize if anything is out of character. I meant it to be short and sweet, but it grew out of my control after a while. I’m a perfectionist and wanted to rewrite everything. I made minor edits and am posting it anyway or it’ll sit in my drafts forever; I admit I put the most effort into Lucifer’s, forgive me. Also sorry for the repetitiveness and any typos you may find. I decided to write how the brothers would comfort MC during a panic attack, especially as someone who suffers from anxiety and panic attacks themselves. Honestly, I wrote this as a way to comfort myself since I’ve been dealing with terrible anxiety lately. Of course, everyone experiences anxiety differently, so I can only speak from my own experiences. I didn’t go into detail when it comes to the symptoms themselves because it’s from the point of view of the brothers and only so many are visible to the eye. Trigger warning for depictions of anxiety and panic attacks. Thank you for reading!
LUCIFER
Lucifer is troubled. Following lunch, you disappeared, currently absent from class. This is unlike you, his worry intensifying every minute you’re out of his sight. Yet he maintains his composure, resigning himself to scouring the academy grounds. Time passes at a torturous pace, his thoughts beginning to take a turn for the worst. He contemplates whether to involve his brothers and Lord Diavolo himself at this rate, however the sound of his D.D.D diverts his attention. A wave of relief washes over him at the sight of your name lighting up his screen, chased by frustration at you, your silence, and himself for losing track of you so easily; he couldn’t bear living if anything happened to you under his watch. He expects this behavior from his brothers, not you. Though his heart sinks, the Avatar of Pride uncharacteristically overcome with guilt while he reads your message. Of course, you are not his brothers. He should not have doubted you.
Your texts are apprehensive, a weighty pause between them as you hesitate to lay bare the darkest depths of your soul. He approaches you cautiously, to avoid upsetting you further. Your words alone convey the sheer panic taking possession of you, the last of your strength used to press send. Outside he discovers you, huddled miserably in an isolated corner of the building, swathed in shadow. The desire to shelter you from the world burns within him, but your eyes widen fearfully in his presence, wounding his pride. Immediately, you apologize. Sorry you’re missing class, that you left without telling anyone, and upset him—especially when you’re aware of his busy schedule. You’re sorry for not having the courage to pull yourself together, succumbing to your anxiety, your shame palpable. The hand clutching your D.D.D is trembling, your chest heaving as you struggle to breathe. He aches for you, each tear shed hurting more than the last, your pain managing to touch the very core of his being and set him alight.
If anyone is sorry, it’s him, pride be damned. Kneeling in front of you, he assures you an apology isn’t necessary—your wellbeing of great importance to him. He wants you to rely on him, grateful you confided in him despite your doubts. Hopefully, he can eventually put your mind at ease. His voice low, soothing, he continues to console you, making sure you’re aware he’s not upset, and your feelings are valid. Although he’s not familiar with the inner workings of anxiety itself, he’s willing to listen, learning how to support you to the best of his ability—starting today, providing you’re comfortable accepting his offer. Initially, he prioritized your safety for the sake of the exchange program and Lord Diavolo’s wish to unite the three realms, now it’s merely out of adoration for you, his beloved. Once you’re ready, he’ll let you know you’re not alone. He’s never too busy on your behalf.
Offering you his hand, a smile graces his features as you accept. Slowly, he helps you to your feet, steadying you against him. He notes the way you relax at his touch, shoulders sagging and head coming to rest on his chest. Only you exist in this moment, his gaze not leaving you, not even for a second. Standing in silence until your breathing settles and you regain your balance, he sees you through the height of your attack before escorting you back to the House of Lamentation. He’ll personally excuse you from the remainder of your classes, understanding you need a quiet place to recover. Classical music plays softly in the background of his room, and he’s content to have you in his embrace, drawing you onto his lap after you finish the tea he brewed to calm your nerves. Lucifer pays you special attention, massaging your tired body and kissing you tenderly, his breath fanning across your lips as he reminds you how special you truly are—brave, compassionate, and incredibly loved.
MAMMON
Mammon mourns his loss, wondering how he let them gain the upper hand; admittedly, a foolish mistake on his part. He dreads breaking the news to Lucifer, and the resentment that shows on his brothers’ faces once he confesses does little to ease his mind. Still, he worries about your reaction most of all, knowing his stupidity has put you in a precarious position. In that moment he believes their words—only a greedy scumbag like himself dares to place his human’s happiness on the line. Although certain of his win at the time, he should consider how his actions affect you more often; otherwise, how can he claim he’s the Great Mammon? His confidence is his downfall in the end. Now you’ll suffer along with him. Yet you feign optimism, attempting to soothe everything over despite your innocence. His guilt only grows, a heavy weight on his shoulders. One he deserves.
Three days of waiting on and performing for large crowds at The Fall proves hectic for everyone. He can tell you’re struggling beneath the façade of a composed and hospitable server, going above and beyond to ensure the patrons leave satisfied. Furthermore, you lend him and his brothers a hand, coming to their rescue; it should be him making it as easy on you as possible. His concern for you runs deep, no matter how hard he tries to maintain his usual air of indifference, but you have the nerve to reassure him—it’s meant to be the opposite, dammit. Each night he goes out of his way to check on you, frustrated that you continue to dance around the subject. He can see the exhaustion on your face, hear the slight tremor in your voice, the toll his stupid decision is taking on you, and it stung. You comfort him, even when he’s undeserving, so why won’t you allow him to hold you and kiss the pain away? Not that he’s asked. You should realize by now you can rely on him, right?
Watching you suffer in silence tortures him. He can’t deny it regardless of his best effort to make light of the situation. You barely eat or spend time outside your room, saying you’re tired, which isn’t a lie—working is exhausting, no doubt about it—but he understands you well enough to notice the subtle signs of your anxiety, your smile unable to trick him into believing otherwise. Perhaps you find him as insufferable as his brothers do, or worse, and don’t want to see his face after what he’s done. That doesn’t stop him from showing up at your door, hoping he can offer some form of comfort. However, you keep up appearances, supporting the seven of them during the longest weekend of their lives. You work hard too, his chest swelling with pride as he watches you care for his brothers and customers alike. How can you like an idiot like him? You’re selfless and loving, looking past his flaws to see what lay beneath his sin. His human. His angel. He wants—no needs—you to be okay.
The last day comes and goes in a blur. Finally, he can toss these ridiculous clothes and rabbit ears in the trash and never perform that dance again. Better yet, you’re free of his burden, though the guilt remains. He can’t relax until he’s positive you’re okay, knowing he’s genuinely sorry. Standing outside your room, he tries to muster up the courage to open his heart to you—apologies not his strong suit—when he hears you crying. They’re small, muffled sobs that manage to shake him to his core, blood running cold. Yeah, he should knock, but he can’t control himself, throwing the door open without hesitation and rushing to your side. The sight of your tears is almost too much to bear, and he draws you into his embrace, face heating up at his own moment of vulnerability, but this is about you, not him. He can be strong for you too, telling you everything’s going to be okay, that the Great Mammon is here to help.
After his stupidity, you tell him you were afraid to bother him? He can hardly suppress the shock at your confession, the sadness in your eyes breaking his heart. You wanted to make sure it went smoothly for his sake? You suffer through Hell alone because you chose to put his feelings first? Crazy. Though he thanks you, not completely ashamed to admit he’s touched. However, he tells you that you don’t have to put aside your feelings for his benefit; he prefers to be by your side then know you’re having a rough time on your own. He is your first. Taking the initiative, he asks what he can do to make it up to you, no matter how big or small the request is because he’ll do it in a heartbeat. You opt to stay in his arms, burying your face into his chest, and he wipes away your remaining tears, being as gentle as he possibly can. He can feel how tense your body is, your skin unnaturally warm, and it takes a while until you stop shaking. It’s moments like these he’ll tell you how much you mean to him—that he loves you, okay—and he wants you to come to him for everything. He’ll hold you, taking your hand in his, and kiss you with all the adoration in the world because you’re incredibly important to him. Mammon can attest to that.
LEVIATHAN
Leviathan invites you to his room to play video games, a daily routine the two of you have comfortably fallen into. He loves gaming with you, though on occasion you opt to watch instead, thoroughly enthralled by whatever is on the screen. Miraculously, you enjoy listening to him ramble—whether it’s about the game he’s playing, anime he’s watching, or TSL among other things—genuinely showing interest in his passions; he’s incapable of expressing how truly grateful he is for your company. His heart nearly bursts whenever you compliment him on his gaming prowess, encourage him during a particularly intense battle, or merely tell him how you enjoy hanging out. How in the Devildom did a gross otaku like him get so incredibly lucky? He can hardly believe you love him of all demons. The thought alone sounds crazy lmao.
Unable to contain his excitement, he awaits your arrival that night, ensuring everything is perfect when he hears a knock on the door. However, his smile fades the moment he lays eyes on you, mind beginning to race as he wonders why you look miserable, your gaze trained on your hands. Before he can speak, you apologize, dissolving into tears while you return the game he let you borrow. You’re stuttering, completely winded, and he can barely hear you confess to accidentally corrupting his data in your panic. In fact, he loses track of the number of times you choke out a sorry. He treasures his games, his collection extensive, but he cherishes you most of all. The loss is a minor annoyance, nothing that lessens the feelings he harbors for you. Although difficult, he overcomes his insecurities to show you it’s okay—you’re loved.
Not only are you sad, but you’re also terrified, a part of him wanting to destroy the game itself if it means you never have to experience the pain that torments you now. Regarding you carefully, afraid to make matters worse, he reassures you that he’s not upset—far from it, honestly—and that he cares about you more than any game. No stranger to your panic attacks, he reaches out to take your hand in his, hoping you find comfort in what he has to offer. And when you finally glance up, hope shining in your tear-filled eyes, he can’t help but wrap you in his arms. A warmth spreads across his face, heart pounding in his ears, but he knows you need him, allowing his body to relax around yours.
Holding you against him, he tells you everything’s all right, stuttering out how he loves you and, most importantly, wants to you to feel better. Your arms circle around his waist, causing his heart to jump into his throat, but he only pulls you closer. You’re his Henry, and what friend is he if you can’t rely on him? Leviathan is understanding, wanting you to come to him for support at your most vulnerable. Now he puts his knowledge to the test, easing you into his room with continuous words of affirmation. You always know how to console him at his lowest, and he hopes he can return the favor. If anyone deserves to feel loved it’s you, who brought joy into his otherwise bleak world, and he’ll sit with you every day and night if you need him to.
SATAN
Satan knows he shouldn’t be awake, though he finds it difficult to satiate his curiosity as he peruses the books lining his shelves. He barely registers the sound of his D.D.D, reluctant to put the book aside to see who’s messaging him at this ungodly hour; Asmodeus most likely. His tune changes after he sees your name lighting up his screen, his annoyance replaced with worry. He knows you struggle, especially at night, but he can tell you’re hesitant to reach out. Nevertheless, you gradually begin to confide in him, his patience limitless if you’re concerned, and he feels a sense of relief that you choose to trust him at your most vulnerable instead of suffering on your own. Pouring over every book he can locate on anxiety, he studies it religiously, engraining each page into his memory. Not by giving unsolicited advice—he doesn’t want to make that mistake twice—but by comforting you the best he can, even if it simply means to stay by your side, waiting for the panic to pass.
A second later, he appears at your door, gaze softening as your eyes meet. In the darkness of your room, he can tell how exhausted you are. You apologize for bothering him, particularly this late, but he dismisses you with a shake of his head and a reassuring smile, sitting beside you on the bed. It saddens him that you feel the need to, but he’s familiar enough with anxiety by now that he understands how much of a manipulative monster it truly is; if only he can destroy it with his own two hands, strangling the life out of it so it no longer taints that innocent soul of yours. To watch you struggle fills him with a rage that he forces deep within himself, fully aware anger isn’t the answer no matter how great his desire to protect you is. So, he cups your face in his hands, your skin warm beneath his fingers as he strokes your flushed cheeks and presses your foreheads together.
Focus on him, he tells you, the steady rhythm of his breathing, and his voice while he whispers words of love and encouragement. He never tires of letting you know how beautiful and strong you are, that he’s always here for you and loves you—all of you. You unravel in his arms, opening your heart up to him, and he listens intently, pressing a gentle kiss to your lips the moment you look uncertain. You’re not a burden he promises, hoping one day you’ll believe it yourself, but he’ll remind you every chance he gets; forever if he must. It’s worth it in the end, when you relax against him and smile, kissing him in return. Slowly, the anxiety leaves your body, Satan thankful that the waves of panic have receded enough to let you rest your weary mind. He remains next to you, pulling you down to lay your head on his chest and closing your hand in his, entwining your fingers. He’s content here with you, watching you fall asleep and chasing away the nightmares.
ASMODEUS
Asmodeus loves shopping, but he loves shopping with you most of all. The day is bright with you by his side, and he can’t help but buy you clothes and matching accessories to bring out your inherent charm. Your potential is endless, and he gushes over how gorgeous you are, unable to contain his excitement when your cheeks turn a beautiful shade of pink in return. He can hardly control himself around you, gaze fixated on your every movement and heart racing each time you flash him one of the sweetest smiles he’s ever seen; your very soul seeming to shine through and blind him. Nothing prepares him for the love he feels for you, but he considers it a welcome surprise, his desire to grow closer to you intensifying day after day. You captivate him, the Avatar of Lust of all demons. What an exciting turn of events!
Of course, he attracts attention wherever he goes, posing for pictures with adoring fans and basking in the compliments constantly thrown his way; nothing new, but he enjoys it, nonetheless. Who can resist the allure of his very presence? However, anger wells within him at the sight of you being shoved to the side, falling to the ground and lost to the crowd that has gathered. Their words of flattery fall on deaf ears as he rushes to you, throwing a heated glance at the lowly demon who dares to touch his darling human. He desires nothing more than to punish them for such an injustice, but the fear in your eyes tells him otherwise. By the time he scoops you up into his arms you’re trembling from head to toe, and he can feel your heart pounding against him. A part of him places the blame on himself, an unfamiliar feeling, but he chooses to ignore it for now, focusing on getting you home in your worsening state.
In the peace and quiet of his room, he sits you on the bed, wrapping you in his arms as he affectionately runs his fingers through your hair. He can tell you’re upset—in an absolute state of panic by the looks of it—and all he can do is hold you through it, quietly asking what you need and willing to answer your every beck and call if it means that adorable smile graces your features once more. For a moment he considers seeking out Lucifer, worried something has gone terribly wrong, but thankfully you find your voice, mumbling into his chest about anxiety and panic attacks, that you’ll be fine—eventually—and are sorry for ruining your date. He doesn’t understand completely, though he knows you need him, promising to stay by your side for as long as you want. Kissing your cheek, he assures you there’s no need to apologize to him, your safety more important than anything else; the demon who laid his hands on you won’t go without punishment either.
Admitting a bath helps calm you down, he prepares one for you, steam rising from the surface and the heady scent of roses filling the air. Together you slip into the water, enveloped by its warmth, and he hums in contentment as you lean into him, his arms coming to rest around your waist. He watches you carefully, making sure you’re able to relax and preparing himself in case you call on him; he’ll do anything for you if it brings you the happiness you deserve. Your eyes flutter close, Asmodeus showering you with delicate kisses, comforted by the fact your breathing has levelled out and you appear a lot calmer than before. The day didn’t go as planned, and he hopes to make it up to you, vowing that no one else will hurt you on his watch. He loves himself. He loves his brothers. But loves you most of all.
BEELZEBUB
Beelzebub notices you haven’t touched your dinner and is beyond happy the moment you offer your plate to him. Yet he can’t bring himself to enjoy the food in front of him while you excuse yourself from the table, eyes downcast and voice quiet, the usual smile gone from your face and leaving behind an emptiness that rivals his own hunger. His mouth waters at the thought of seconds, but his concern for you grows, and he decides to follow you without question, disregarding the ravenous growl of his stomach. He catches you in the hallway, calling out your name. You turn to him, his brow furrowing in unease at the sight of your tears and the slight tremble of your lip. It hurts him to see you in obvious distress, and he earnestly offers his support.
The only sound is that of your sobbing. He desperately wishes to hold you tightly and rid you of your pain. However, he falters, studying you. Your gaze is trained on the floor, shoulders stiff with tension, and the color drains from your cheeks. When you speak, he’s surprised by how helpless you sound and the fact you’re trying to reassure him, putting his needs above your own although you’re struggling to hold yourself together. Fear flickers across your features at the echo of the brothers’ voices travelling up the stairs, and he mumbles out an apology as he carefully lifts you into his arms, cradling you to his chest.
Before the others can round the corner, he hurries down the hall and slips into your room, determined to protect his vulnerable human. He notices you relax against him, your fingers curling into his shirt, and he can’t help but want to keep you close, relieved after you lean in closer to wrap your arms around his neck. Stroking your hair, he allows you to cry, his patience and love for you endless. Eventually, you mutter an embarrassed sorry, thanking him profusely, but he’s merely relieved you’re beginning to feel a bit better, reassuring you that you can always depend on him.
Listening to you intently, he never breaks eye contact. You open up to him about your anxiety, his stomach twisting as you describe what you call a panic attack and how it wrecks you both mentally and physically. Beelzebub knows he has a lot to learn, but he expresses interest in understanding anxiety and, most importantly, how he can help you, so you don’t suffer alone. For the rest of the night, he keeps you company and eases you through the remainder of your attack, giving you plenty of hugs and rubbing your back in soothing circles until you no longer shake, and your heartbeat returns to its usual pace.
BELPHEGOR
Belphegor enjoys the time you spend together, especially when the two of you are alone. He asks you to accompany him in the attic, and it’s not long before he curls around you, falling into a peaceful sleep as he listens to the steady beat of your heart. However, when he awakes it’s to the sound of your soft cries in the dark, which fill him with a fear he can’t seem to shake. Without hesitation he’s at your side, sitting up to softly place a hand on your shoulder and ask you what’s wrong. The sadness in your eyes as you glance up at him, tears staining your cheeks, tugs at his heartstrings. He can’t bear to see you upset.
Once he realizes you’re having a panic attack, he’s attentive to your needs, cradling you in his arms as you cry into his chest. You confided in him about your struggles with anxiety after you fell to pieces in front of him months ago. A part of him understands, the loss of Lilith haunting him throughout the years and instilling a similar feeling of unease within him, especially when his nightmares seem to blur the line between reality and the painful memories of his past. You always came to his rescue and now it’s his turn to comfort you in your time of need. Sleep can wait.
With you in his embrace, he brings you down to relax against the pillows, pulling the blanket around your shivering form. You rest your head on his shoulder, and he gently brushes the remaining tears from your face, whispering words of love and reassurance. He listens to you when you’re comfortable to talk, the slight tremble of your voice causing him to draw you closer and press a kiss to your forehead. Belphegor tells you he’s here for you—forever—and although he’s still learning about anxiety and finding the best ways to comfort you during an attack, he wants you to depend on him no matter what. Even if that means you wake him up in the middle of the night. He won’t rest until he knows you’re okay, and you’re peacefully sleeping in his arms.

How long has it been?
It felt like Xiao waited forever for you to call him. He would have loved to deny that he waited for it… but he did. Ever since he told you to call when you needed him, he had been waiting—hoping!— you would, rather sooner than later. If only he could get a good look at you again, he would feel prepared enough to face his duties again. You were the beacon of light in his life, no matter how harsh he spoke to you or faked disliking you. Your job wasn’t any more dangerous than any other in this world, making you travel back and forth cities to sell your merchandise there. You needed someone who could help you if things went downhill.
You needed Xiao.
His fingers were still tingling from the feeling of your body as he held you. Even when you squirmed and flinched in his arms as he defeated the monsters bothering you, you were warm and soft, and you smelled like dirt- But the good kind! Xiao didn’t know how else to describe it. You’ve been on the road for a long time, showers weren’t your priority probably, but he couldn’t bring himself to mind. You were perfect just as you were.
And finally, you called. Or rather, screamed into the disappearing sun on the horizon, for Xiao to come and save you. You fulfilled the promise to ask for his help any time, and he fulfilled his by coming to your rescue. No matter how weak he felt, how much he wanted to vomit at the sight of more and more foes arriving. With you, weakly as you were, leaning into his chest, avoiding your eyes from the death and fight, he would have defeated armies of Hilichurls if necessary. All while holding you, never letting go of his precious sun.
The toll on his body was tremendous, his breathing ragged. Still, standing in the middle of disappearing corpses, Xiao was victorious. For you. For both of you. He turned his head to look at you, the disheveled hair slick with sweat out of fear and flight instinct. You weren’t made for the outdoors; not as long as they were cruel and dangerous. You wouldn’t have come out of this attack unscathed if not for him.
Letting go of his weapon, he petted over your head, pushing it down and combing out some leaves. He knew he was rough around the edges, unfit for gentle comfort. But if he could help your shivering to wane, he would have tried anything. You once showed kindness to him; he had to repay it.
Helping you towards a big stone out in the open, you two were stumbling over your feet while you grew wary, looking up and realizing there was no fight anymore. But Xiao wasn’t about to let you go, much less leave you alone right away. He’d stay. It’s been too long, and the temptation to be close to you too big.
Making you sit down, you folded like a sack of potatoes before regaining some composure. You were fidgeting with your ripped sleeves, avoiding looking up at the dark matter rising to the sky from the dead Hilichurls. Instead, you looked at him, studied him, his hair, expression, the hands that tried to desperately be gentle as they searched for wounds on your body. Xiao didn’t mind. You could stare as much as you wanted at him as long as he didn’t have to respond to it. Silently, he was begging you to look more at him. Just… a little more. Look at him as if he was your hero.
Edgy, you called him after bothering him at the balcony of the Wangshu Inn. No one allowed you to be there; Xiao didn’t want to have company that night. But you couldn’t sleep, and sitting on the roof appeared to be a better alternative than turning in your bed to you. He told you he hated your presence, and you laughed, saying it was fine. Fine. How could it be fine? You told him about your business and your family even though he never asked, and then you asked about him and his past. He… he had been weak. That night, he had fought and conquered and been incredibly weak afterwards. So he told you, and you laughed again, telling him how edgy he was before leaving him behind, confused and irritated by your words.
The next day, you brought Almond Tofu and left him a note, thanking him for sticking with you and be honest.
He didn’t forget about you ever since.
Even Xiao felt stupid for seeing you off when your stay ended. He had no business meddling with you or anyone in your world, but now that he finally saw you again, he was furious for letting you go. What he should have done was hold you back, make you stay longer. But when you thanked him for offering his help, smiling at him so kindly, he let go of your arm, and gone you were. Only to end up battered and bruised, just like he feared.
“How long has it been?” he asked, dragging his finger over a bruise that wasn’t fresh anymore. It was at least two or three days old, yet, no tint lighter than as if it happened just now. Instantly, his throat was clogged with guilt. And though his question wasn’t about the bruise, you answered honestly, confirming the two days he assumed.
“I meant, how long has it been since someone called for me,” he corrected himself in a mumble, a question you were in no place to answer. Years. Decades. So long, he didn’t remember the last time. But now, you did. You. The person he wanted to answer to. Only, he was too late anyway—he couldn’t protect you either.
“You need to be treated,” he worried with a stern face. Anger flitted over his features as you shook your head, wiping away the tears of panic you had produced. “What I need is to get to Mondstadt,” you argued. Thick-headed. Stubborn. A thick-headed, stubborn, weak human, that’s what you were. That’s what you were supposed to be, but his heart throbbed painfully as he cursed you in his mind. Not even his body wanted to think badly about you, much less Xiao himself.
“No,” he denied your idea firmly, placing his arm around your shoulder and hooking the other under your knees. There it was again, that tingling sensation that overcame him when he touched you. You were squirming some more against his actions before you tensed in pain. Bruises would heal. Cuts would close. But if there was something internally, something Xiao could not see, then he didn’t know how to help you. It was him who was pathetic, still knowing nothing about the humans he was protecting silently from the shadows. He was pathetic because he denied getting close to them, fearing they’d make him weak.
And he had been right. You made him weak. Weak in the knees, weak in his head. Gone was his keen mind and tough body. Now there was only the invested, curious, worrying Xiao. Xiao at his worst, and he hated himself for it. Seeing you hurt and in pain made him want to be strong even more. So he could protect you when you would call his name. But he wasn’t sure if you would after he already let you down.
Xiao knew everything about the lands around you. He knew where the closest doctor was, and he’d get you to them and then… then what?
Gnawing at his lip as he waited for you to get better, he stood there in silence, clothed in the darkness of the room you were offered to rest that night. There had to be something he could do. Something only he could do for you. He didn’t have the leisure of traveling like you, and he wasn’t a human that could join you easily either. But he was strong if you didn’t warp his head into the miserable state he found himself around you. He could protect you, but how would he do it?
There needed to be a plan soon. The sun was rising, the day promising to be beautiful for travels. And you would want to go. Because as wondrous and loveable as you were, you were also stubborn and weak. Duty-bound, like him. But both of you couldn’t share this trait, not when he wanted to keep you from danger instead of making you rush headfirst into it. One of you had to compromise, and as the sun was setting, Xiao realized something else.
If he was strong, and you were not. He, an important Adeptus, and you, another human between so many, then you needed to be put back into your place. A place of safety. Somewhere close to him. It was a stretch to assume other Adepti would help him, but they could create realms. Safe realms he could carry with him. Even if he didn’t know how to wager with them, much less address the issue, he knew they played a vital part in the role of keeping you safe. He was almost jealous.
Xiao looked back at you sleeping soundly, your chest falling and rising under the blanket. Bandages were all over your body. The doctor made sure you knew the risk you had taken, traveling alone and vulnerable and enduring injuries you should have gotten checked up. You were careless and ignorant to the dangers of the world, even though, deep inside you, Xiao imagined you were just as scared as anyone else. It would be nice, right? If he could take this fear from you. Keep you safe and sound and with him at all times. He’d do you a favor.
A future without worries and fear, the dream of so many of your kind.
Stepping up to your bedside, he reached out to your forehead, remaining still as you furrowed your brows when you noticed his warmth, but then you relaxed again. Maybe you knew it was him. Maybe, deep down in your dreams, it was him who made you feel safe right now. Xiao wished he was. Still, he disappointed you, but he wouldn’t do it again. He’d make sure that you wouldn’t have to be in pain and scared anymore. For you, and only you, he’d do it.
Letting his hand slip down your face, his fingertips brushed over your cheek and to your lips, his touch lingering a second too long to be appropriate. Flinching away, he scolded himself for touching you there, pink flushing his cheeks as he shook his head. He was busy; there were preparations to be made.
Leaving behind Mora, he had no use for, and a note to the doctor, he told them to keep you as long as they could. Knowing where you were would make his life easier, even though he wouldn’t leave a stone unturned and a monster alive if he had to search for you. There were no lengths he wouldn’t have taken for you. The thought scared him because he didn’t know how to handle this feeling that burned inside of him at the mere thought of you. But it scared him even more to see you like last night, and he wasn’t sure his heart could take it if it happened again.
No, he couldn’t let it happen again.
How long had it been since someone called his name? One night. The next time you’d call for him, how would it sound? Sweet? Affectionate? Thankful? Praising him for his work and dedication for you, accepting his snide remarks, and laughing at him again with that kind voice of yours? He couldn’t know it yet. But with a jump in his step, he would have never thought it could be the complete opposite.
Angry. Scared. Horrified.
