Im still going on my star wars newbie binge ft my boyfriend who is a lifelong star wars fan and we just finished watching the first 2 seasons of the mandalorian and like..... its really good but why does everything have to be serialized....

I enjoyed the show 100 times more when it was just mando and lil yoda (ik his name is grogu i just think its funny) going on episodic space lone ranger adventures and helping random ppl bc mando may be a bounty hunter but he is a Noble Man.

Why does moff gideon exist. He is just space gustavo from breaking bad except gustavo was cool and smart. Moff gideon just knows everything about everyone bc he's played by gustavo from breaking bad. I dont give a shit that the empire is rebuilding itself as... the empire.... if the remnants of the empire were rebranding as a proto-first order or smth like that it would b so much cooler and interesting but. Star war. Storm trooper or something.

Anyways i love pedro pascal hermano latinoamericano. Also din and luke only have like 15 seconds of interaction but honestly?? I see the appeal.

a/n: here is some non proofed, shitty fluff that i wrote at eleven pm while sick and with minimal sleep

part two: speechless

Something garbled to your left, causing you to jolt in surprise. You were able to stop your head a mere inch from the bottom of the ship, breathing heavily. “One sec!” You called to your surely impatient companion, tightening a few of the bolts on the engine door.

The kid garbled again, clawing at your pant leg. You giggled softly, sticking your head out from underneath the Razor Crest to attend to him. “What’s up, lil guy?” You held your arms out, to which he scrambled up and onto your lap.

Smiling, you wiped the oil off from your face as the kid snuggled into your chest. You gave his head a scratch and stood up, strolling into the open hatch. You set the kid down in his pod before closing the hatch and plopping yourself in the cockpit, staring at Din’s empty seat in the center.

Din had been gone four days. Four. You knew he was more than capable of protecting himself and that he had told you this would be a longer trip, but you couldn’t help but worry. It was all that you could do in the silence of this fucking death trap of a planet.

So, as evident by the crease that was almost permanently embroidered in between your eyebrows, you did just that. You shuffled between ‘oh my god is he dead’, ‘what if he got caught by the New Republic or Moff’ and ‘shit what the hell are we’.

Yeah. One more thing I forgot to mention: you and Din had reached a sort of in between stage, somehow. It was all sort of unclear to you: he was super overprotective (more than when you’d first joined, you’d noticed), he held conversations with you about what must be too casual for his liking on a day to day basis, and even had told you that he, and I quote, ‘couldn’t lose you, ever’.

To be fair, he was saying that last point while talking about you and the kid, but you counted it as something nonetheless. Your point was that he extended care that you’d only seen him give to the kid. It warmed your heart, but it also left you confused. Frankly, you were afraid to ask him.

Anyway, you had put yourself to work all day, figuring you could pick up a few things in mechanics by fixing the ship. You’d honestly thought it would be an hour or two of work, tops, but the Razor Crest had proven you otherwise. You spent not one but two days fixing its big and small problems. It was demanding work, but you liked the feeling of being useful again.

One problem: you were tired. As soon as you plopped yourself into that seat, you could feel your eyelids droop. Not long after, you succumbed to the sleep, letting yourself really rest for the first time in four days.

When Din entered the Razor Crest some five hours later, it was unnaturally quiet. He scrambled farther in, slamming a gloved palm on the button to close the hatch. He located the kid’s crib almost immediately, but you weren’t near. He climbed up the ladder quickly, telling himself not to worry until he checked the cockpit.

When he saw the top of your head propped up by your hand against the side of the controls, his shoulders visibly loosened. He dropped his hand from where it was hovering over his blaster and ventured over to his seat, quietly setting the coordinates for his next quarry.

After finishing that, he turned to face you. His visor tilted as he trailed his eyes over your relaxed face; the slight part of your lips as you breathed slowly, the strand of hair falling from where you had tucked it behind your ear, the smudge of oil on your cheek. His fingers twitched as he stopped himself from wiping it off.

You deserved the sleep. He could see the wariness in the bags that hugged the bottom of your eyes. He pulled a blanket he had stored in the cockpit over your shoulders, smiling softly as you mumbled and gripped the edge of the navy colored blanket.

He stepped back to admire you from afar, taking in the warmth and comfort that was you.

It was at this moment that he realized was in too far to back out.

He realized in this moment that he would die for you. He would kill for you, he would do anything if it meant you would stay with him. He realized he would tear the galaxy apart to find you if he lost you, do anything just to see the curve of your lips or a laugh bubble out of your mouth and carry him into the skies above.

He was irrevocably and indefinitely in love with you. The thought knocked Din back a step with the force of truth it held. The backs of his shins hit his seat hard, and he tumbled into it as thoughts raced through his head.

What did this mean? Did you feel the same way?

He sure as hell hoped so. Din didn’t think he could live with himself if you didn’t. There was a moment of resolve that he had, deciding he would get you to love him, one way or another. It sounded borderline obsessive, so he told himself that if you said no, it meant no.

Does he love you?

Yes. He’d been over this, he did. Double checking with his heart, Din decided that he was. His cheeks grew red. No going back now.

What does this mean for his creed?

This meant he was committing to someone, to you, if you’d have him. This meant complete and utter trust that he was placing in you, which went as far as-

Taking off his helmet.

It’d been years since a real person had seen his face. He wasn’t much older than eleven when he’d sworn the oath and joined the Mandalorians, since he’d said goodbye to his freedom and joined a creed built on secrecy and weapons.

It wasn’t until his lungs screamed for air that Din realized he’d been holding his breath. He tried to breath, but it felt like the beskar encircling his head was cutting off all of his oxygen. Without a second thought, he yanked off the offending piece of armor and gaped in air greedily.

Once his gasps of air calmed down, he let his face fall into his hands as his brain raced a mile a minute with new revelations. He rubbed his temples and willed his brain to slow the fuck down. The emotions were new, but he was getting a grip on them.

His head tilted to focus on you again, unfiltered without his helmet. His breath caught at your beauty blessing his bare eyes. You had shifted to lean farther backwards and rest your head on the back of your seat, fingertips wrapping around the blanket even more than when he had left you with it. A genuine smile caresses his lips, readily aware that you could open your eyes and see him.

But he couldn’t find it in himself to care anymore.

I’m a night owl 🦉 I absolutely L O V E the night! I love the silence. How everyone’s sleeping. Some months ago I was on a walk with Moffe (🐕) at 4 in the morning, it was so silent, not a people to be seen or heard, a tiny bit foggy, not so dark.. And suddenly I see a huge male deer 🦌 walking ON THE SIDEWALK like a person. Moving so majestically. I was mesmerized! And it didn’t see me for a lil while, but when it did we locked eyes - it freaked out and started running and idk the English word for it but.. yelling? Lol. Anyway. That was such a magical experience for me! It’s absolutely not common to have deer around here. All this to say.. I prefer night time ♡😁

OMFG!!!!! THAT EPISODE OMG OMG OMG anyway here is my review for the final episode of the Mandalorian season 2

Loved the we’ve met from Mando at the start. And ooooo that dude hitting the sore spot with Cara

The entire first scene with Bo Katan. Like OMG and finally someone has mentioned the clone thing and just it was perfect Bo Katan and Boba characterisation. Also loved that lil fight. But koska calling boba a side kick like what do you think you are

We got some absolute badass girl group fight I loved it

Din using the spear as the only things that could damage the dark trooper and the trooper couldn’t even scratch his helmet

Moff Gideon was great but Din honestly that bad guys never tell the truth like seriously anyone would have figured it as a trap 🤣. That fight through like neither of them looked like they had any idea what they were actually doing with their weapons but I loved it. But Din not caring about the dark Sabre what a vibe

BO KATAN IS SO MAD her face is absolutely livid. But you can tell she doesn’t want to fight Din but she wants that Sabre so bad. And once again Din literally couldn’t care about the Sabre but Bo Katan who actually knows about the Sabre is like dude why don’t you care, I can’t take it and I don’t want to fight you but O want to fight you so bad.

And the dark troopers are back and everyone is worried but like Din give someone the spear so that at least 2 people can destroy them

And OMG a Jedi, but it wasn’t Ashoka 😢. Although I figured it out prett quickly, like I was the dark clothes, green Sabre and glove on one hand and just knew it. He had 0 trouble with the dark troopers compared to Din it was really funny. Although he looked unsettling, like it credits mark hamil so have they de-aged him. Also like seeing some obviously wanted Moff and he just leaves him without mentioning anything 😂

I applaud Filoni and Dave though this episode was really good and left a massive cliff hanger which will keep everyone hyped. It finished off all the arcs that came in this season and but also created new ones to persue for next season. Now bye I’m going to go cry some more

What happened in the mando finale 😳

I MEAN.

HOW MUCH DO U WANT TO KNOW ANON??? ill put it under a cut jic bc i wont hold back lmbo

(i put a tl;dr at the bottom which is the BIGGEST spoiler that everyones freaking out about, but if u want to know everything else then feel free to read this lol)

soooo in case ur not caught up on the show so far, basically din (mando) has been wandering the galaxy trying to give grogu (baby yoda) back to his people/kind, the jedi. during this time he runs into characters from other star wars media that have helped him (ahsoka tano, bo-katan kryze, boba fett) and some other new characters that (for the sake of this summary) are less important.

ANYWAY while trying to find a jedi for baby, said baby ends up getting kidnapped by this guy named moff gideon, who works for the empire and pretty much wants baby’s powerful force blood for some ~nefarious~ deeds: presumably cloning (snoke? palpatine?? not sure if its unconfirmed or if i just missed it, oop). moff gideon also has the darksaber, which is essentially like a black lightsaber that is very important to mandalore/the mandalorians (it basically marks them as the Leader). anyway the last episode had mando and the gang rallying up to save baby from the bad guys.

IN TERMS OF THE FINALE SPECIFICALLY !!!!

mando and the gang meet up with bo-katan to ask for her help. she and her associate (koska) are like... lowkey racist to boba?? (bc hes a clone) but agree to help AS LONG AS bo-katan gets to fight moff gideon (and get the darksaber back, bc she technically has a Right to the throne).

the gang hijacks an imperial ship and gets it to look like they are Friendly to the bad guys so they will be allowed into their base. boba pretends to attack them for ~realism~ and then dips for the rest of the episode once theyre in (which is a bit sad tbh. we missed u legend). the Ladies (bo-katan & koska, plus cara and fennec, who are new to the franchise) then storm out to cause a distraction as they go to the bridge, where they plan to take out gideon. meanwhile mando does a sneaky sneaky to save his baby from the prison cells. while he does this, a ton of dark troopers (SUPER powerful robots. like my man almost died trying to fight ONE) get activated but mando manages to shoot them all out of the airlock.

the Ladies get to the bridge but gideon is not there :( insetad he is waiting for mando in the cell and waving the darksaber around grogu’s lil bb head, being menacing (as villains do). mando and gideon fight with a spear and the darksaber respectively; ofc mando wins and they take gideon captive.

they meet up in the bridge and bo-katan is mad bc she didnt get to fight gideon. mando tries to give her the darksaber but the Mandalorian Rule is that you cant have it unless u win it in combat. (so essentially mando is like the King now. we love that for him)

just then the dark troopers come back (bc duh theyre robots and can easily fly back in from space) and everyone is SCREWED bc theyre super powerful and theres so many of THEM but so few of US etc etc. then suddenly an X-WING comes flying in and this hooded figure with chanel boots and a green lightsaber starts strutting the halls with the Most Dramatic Flair, absolutely OBLITERATING the threat like its just another monday. grogu gets all excited so they open the door and OML LUKE SKYWALKER???? (they cgi’ed his face and it doesnt look Great but they did get mark hamill to actually play him so i personally allow a pass)

luke asks to take the baby (to train him) and mando is like “uhhh i dont think he wants to go with you” at first until it turns out baby DOES want to go but is hesitant/asking for permission bc he doesnt want his dad to be upset :((( mando gets really sad but he wants The Best for his baby so he allows luke to take him away.

BUT BEFORE HE DOES, he takes off his helmet (which im assuming u know but he would rather DIE than do before in previous episodes) so that baby can see his face for the first/last time :((((( luke takes grogu in his arms (also r2d2 is there briefly) and then the episode ENDS with mando and baby looking at each other tearfully as luke gets in the elevator with baby and leaves.

(also there is an end credits scene of boba and fennec (they are friends) taking over jabbas palace on tatooine. they rule there now i guess? it pulled an mcu and basically hinted at a new show)

TL;DR THE FOUND FAMILY WAS BROKEN. DAD MANDO HAS DONE SO MUCH TO SAVE HIS BABY AND PROVIDE A GOOD LIFE FOR HIM, BUT NOW IS SAD BC THEY HAVE TO SEPARATE. ppl are worried that there wont be anymore dad/baby content (which is arguably the best part of the show; yes i said what i said), AND EVERYONE IS SAD BC THEY ARE SAD AND WHAT ARE THEY GOING TO DO WITHOUT EACH OTHER NOW????????

“i just finished the season finale of the mandalorian sooo we gonna just put some stuff down that i loved (spoilers under cut obviously)

- first of all THEY FUCKING HIT BABY YODA LIKE THREE TIMES AND IT PHYSICALLY PAINED ME EACH TIME THEY DID PLUS THE CRIES HE MADE?? S T O P

- “you just wanna see it” i mean who wouldn’t wanna see baby and honestly this whole scene w the troopers made me laugh and when i saw at the credits that it was directed by taika waititi i said “ahh no wonder”

- IG-11 IS THE GOAT I LOVE

- ah yes our newfound trio still facing their doom and well shit they’re assembling some crazy weapon

- carasynthia dune of alderaan is my wife now

- DIN DJARIN we have a name guys ahhh 

- im so glad we finally got to see the full backstory of din being a foundling and with him being carried off which will compare to,,, future scenes

- holy fuck i love this droid, the whole time i was just saying “they’re gonna get demolished by a fucking droid aren’t they?” as they proceeded to get demolished by the amazing IG-11

- also “oh i love IG units” same greef 

- *din gets shot in the head* me: ITS FINE GET UP YOUR BESKAR ARMOR CAN STAND IT *cara pulls hand away from back of his head to show bloody hand* me: F U C K

- baby yoda and the force once again doing the absolute most, i love him and he rlly did that with the fire. then after that i was like “okay now heal your dad p le a se” but i knew he was gonna pass out and i slfkjsklfj

- okay the real star of this episode is IG-11 who is saving everybody’s lives out here but the “i am not a living thing” hurt me for some reason

- THE HELMET IS OFF i shit you not i screamed “IT’S PEDRO PASCAL” at almost 2 am in the morning whoops

- my optimism jumped out when i saw the pile of helmets and armor as i said to myself “it’s okay mando– they just– they just stole a shit load of beskar and then got new sets of armor made like you.. haha right?”

- why did i think the armorer was making baby yoda a helmet oh my god but “you are as its father” and “you are a clan of two” AND THE SIGNET IS THE MUDHORN (i think) ITS CANON NOW THEY’RE DAD AND SON

- HE GOT HIS JETPACK HE WANTED

- fuck ngl kinda gay for the armorer after that fight scene

- the talk between IG-11 and din tho,, “there is nothing to be sad about. i’ve never been alive” “im not... sad” “yes you are. i’m a nurse droid. i’ve analyzed your voice” i teared up,, but can we appreciate how great of an actor pedro is?? you can’t see his face and conveying emotion without the very thing that best shows it seems difficult but you can hear in his voice how deeply he is trying to find another way so IG doesn't have to self-destruct :(

- IG-11 is the true hero of this episode.. ik it was just part of his programming and protocol but still, he also helped din with his “no droids” policy and i think that’s why it hurt even more to watch their conversation

- “come on baby do the magic hand thing!!” *baby yoda waves* AHSJAHAHAHA GREEF IS ME DURING THAT FIRE SCENE 

- jetpack action yesss but ik moff gideon is not getting killed off by having his TIE fighter blow up from a couple of explosives

- THE COMPARISON to younger din being carried by the mandalorian and with din now carrying his own foundling poetic cinema :,)

anyways this was such a good episode i feel like it included so much that the fans asked for sorta in a way?? but not in a rushed and sloppy way unlike uh another thing but let’s not get into that!!! im a lil slow so is season 2 already confirmed?? i mean they did leave off on a cliffhanger sorta sooo im ready to see more of my fav mandalorian and baby yoda :)

OH HELL YEAH BESTIE PLS DROP THE LINK TO YOUR BOBA FETT FIC WHENEVER U POST IT bc tbh I have never read any boba fett fics just bc I don’t usually see his character that way cuz he is older but I have 100% read your mandalorian fic (and he’s older too so no excuse tbh but oh I LOVE Din) and have read all of your Loki fics on ao3 so yeah I definitely wanna read the BF fic I loveeeeee everything I’ve read by you!! Actually tbh this is really funny bc I found u through the archetype I’m relatively new to your writing (I think I found you in like March or april of 2021 so holy shit happy 1 year anniversary of me loving your fics) but anyway I fell in love with that fic and then LOVED ssh but I didn’t read asis for the LONGEST time bc the age gap threw me off I thought it would make me uncomfy but I eventually started reading and I binged all of the asis chapters that were out at the time in like one night and now here I am and asis is like one of my all time favorite fics ever so YEAH IM EXCITED FOR A BOBA FETT FIC obviously take your time and rest n recuperate after asis ends but whenever that fic goes up let me know :) -BC Anon

YESSSS I can't imagine it will be out before October 2022 because as much as I adore asis and Loki and writing I'm experiencing burnout in all aspects of my life and I need to take a sizeable break from having a writing schedule or else I will lose my fucking mind yikes

ANYWAY if it helps Boba will be anywhere from 46-48 (he isn't entirely sure) in the fic, only a few years older than Loki in asis!! Still an age gap but he won't be a senior citizen lmao. The chapters will also be SUPER long and detailed, it'll only update once or twice month. The writing is kinda crazy and it's absolutely going to be my best work - the scenes I have written are already polished and the best writing I'm capable of producing. And AUGH I'm so glad you read my Mando fic?? Fun fact I wrote that before I had even seen the show. I had just looked at gif sets and was waiting on a friend to give me their disney+ login.

Also... the way I feel when I hear that people read The Archetype is indescribable. It didn't pick up the way She Shall Have (which I try very hard not to think about lol) did, but I LOVE The Archetype. Like I've said, not many people read it so it feels like those who did are all in a cute lil bookclub with me and we all just chill and hang out in the abandoned corner of the local library it's great it's rad even.

I also totally get being thrown by the professor AU that asis is. Remember how Emma Watson talked about figuring out from a feminist perspective if she was comfortable starring in Beauty and the Beast? I feel similarly about asis. I actually had a bit of crisis this week because I realized it doesn't pass the Bechdel test lol. But it's not for everyone and it is intimidating. I feel like the only reason it's not uncomfortable is because the fact their relationship has the potential to be unbalanced is acknowledged - which I don't think many other professor AUs do. Which is totally fair btw, it's a fantasy so it makes sense. My goal with asis was to explore grey areas and this is a great trope to do that through. I also wanted dilf! Loki. I'm glad you ended up liking asis though and I have so much fun going over theories + talking to you!!

Anyway you have me hyped now and also we are buddies so the opening scene of my Boba Fett fic is under the cut ;) lmk what you think, I hope you like it!

Boba Fett could care less about being dangerous.

There were lots of dangerous people he had faced in his life. Jabba the Hutt. Moff Gideon. He could even tack the Sarlacc onto that list, having earned the title as the only being in the galaxy to face off with such a creature and live to tell the tale. Boba Fett fought and he fought, and even now, he just kept winning.

Heads turned when he entered bars, paths cleared wherever he walked. Other bounty hunters backed off when they heard the legendary Boba Fett was hunting the same target as them. When it came to Boba Fett, those around him knew their place.

That was what he enjoyed. Respect. He demanded it, in fact, and wasn’t afraid to take it when it was not given.

Of course, it had been awhile since anyone had stood up to Boba, denied him the respect he so obviously deserved.

That is, until you came around.

Yeah the premise is that y/n accidentally helps one of Boba's bounties escape him. When Boba tells the reader about the horrible crimes the bounty is wanted for, she teams up with him to travel the galaxy and capture the criminal - even though it's her first time being off planet.
