Gotham has so many rogues and most of them don’t actually cause that much trouble in the grand scheme of things, so other than the really big ones, like joker, news about Gotham rogues can get pretty muddled outside the city which leads the JL to believing that Batman and Manbat are the same person and that their colleague sometimes turns into a giant bat monster but they don’t bring it up bc they think it’s a sensitive topic

Which eventually leads to a scenario like this mid combat when they’re getting pretty desperate:

Green Lantern: I know we’re not supposed to talk about it or whatever, but it would be really helpful if you could turn into a giant bat right now, spooky

Batman, having zero context for this comment, pausing mid fight to look at Hal like he just grew a second head: What the fuck are you talking about, Jordan?

Thinking about DP x DC Jason Todd being a revenant again. Here's my scenario. Jason gets called that by some ghost. He's like "what the fuck is that supposed to mean?" He's heard the term before but he doesn't know any actual lore. He googles it. He scrolls past the Leonardo DiCaprio bear movie. He opens the wiki. Sees the words "animated corpse" and gets a chill diwn his spine. He starts reading the first section.

He closes Wikipedia.

That night he has a nightmare that his family buried him, again, this time with precautions. He wakes up in his own grave, full of stones, too heavy to move, to scream.

You ever had an older relative just drop information on you super casually while you and some other younger family were having a conversation and it’s like “…what?” Everyone they told is in shock for a moment like, you never said anything about this??? And by younger I am including at least one aunt who is around 50. That whole time and you just drop the knowledge on us all because I mentioned something about a different family member

Anyway, apparently the older people in my grandparents childhood Icelandic American community were just fucking outside marriage and a man having kids with women who wasn’t his wife was totally normal and he usually claimed them like he would a kid from a marriage. Dudes were just casually fucking and having kids and it was normal to those communities. How did that never come up until I mentioned a mysterious relative on my dad’s side (which isn’t even the Icelandic side) who I was trying to help with genealogy. Old people will just say things like they expect you to know even though they didn’t say anything about it before they opened their mouths. They will go decades without telling younger family and then just casually tell the whole room like it’s the name of their childhood dog and not some random and stunning revelation
