Michael York schläft mit allen. Wenn er muss. Aber er hat Präferenzen. Hauptsache, er bekommt am Ende sein Schloß. Das habe ich entdeckt, als ich überprüfen wollte, ob A Little Night Music Hal Princes einziger Film ist. Seltsam, daß dieser trotz der herrlichen Stars nie in mein Bewußstsein gedrungen ist. Er bietet Leidenschaft, Angela Lansbury, Musik von John Kander, überhaupt Cabaret-Bezüge zurück zur Bühnenfassung und voraus zum Film, Charme, Hum-pah-pah, gnadenlose Gemeinheit, tiefe Einblicke in die Befindlichkeit der jungen Bundesrepublik, ein Familienschloss, das Neuschwanstein verblüffend ähnelt, und äußerste moralische Fragwürdigkeit. Ab sofort also offensichtlich einer meiner Lieblingsfime.

Two years after being temporarily destroyed at the end of Dracula Has Risen From The Grave, Dracula returned in 1970’s Taste The Blood of Dracula!  Returning in the role and uttering only a handful of lines, Christopher Lee gave one of his most intimidating performances in the role of everyone’s favorite vampire.

Eine weitere Perle des Vampirfilms aus den immer geschmackvollen Hammer-Studios, neben Blut, Leidenschaft, Liebe, Rache, waghalsigen Akrobaten, wilden Tieren und elaborierten Spezialeffekten bietet dieser auch noch den liebreizenden jungen John Moulder-Brown, der aber ausnahmsweise und im Gegensatz zu praktischen allen anderen Beteiligten nicht einmal soviel wie einen Maschettenknopf auszieht. Er ist der Gute.
