So I have been re-watching my Burn Notice DVDs because I'm impatient for the new season. I'm in season 5 right now, which I haven't watched multiple times in its entirety. I never liked the Anson storyline but re-watching it today made me realize some things because I wasn't really paying attention the first time I watched.

I just watched the episode where Anson told Michael about pumping Frank for information and then arranging his heart attack. I take issue with that scene for a few reasons. 1) They had Anson describe Frank as remorseful, which he was not. In the entire series before this episode he was a bastard but all the sudden he supposedly had cried over what he did. Not buying that and I didn't believe Anson when he told Michael that story. 2) In the pilot, Madeline tells Michael he missed his father's funeral by EIGHT YEARS. Now we're supposed to believe that Anson was planning to get Mike burned for almost a decade. No I don't believe that. It's not plausible in my opinion.

I never thought I'd be comparing these two.

I've noticed that Anson Weems in Burn Notice suffers from the same syndrome as Mystique in X-Men Genesis.

Whereas in X-men there was a 90% chance that Mystique was your mom- There is a 90% chance that if something in your life sucks, Anson was the one who fucked it up.
