hcs of ray undergoing any major design/style change post-escape fuck severely its so so good. ray experimenting w hairstyles and clothing styles and finding out what speaks to him because he just doesn’t know!!! he didnt get to do that at gracefield, not only as a result of the strict gendered dress code and the various issues between him and isabella, but because he never even considered that to be something he’d want to do. in fact, he probably deliberately avoided figuring any of that stuff out. ray distanced himself from everyone because he thought there was no way to save them, he tried not to get to know them because he believed they were going to die. its not a stretch to say that he likely tried not to get to know himself, because he believed he was going to die as well. how great is it that he was wrong, that he can finally get to know himself like he deserves.
