zombie apocalypse moments in fanfic that i think about a lot:

- the one where a character is immune, but they almost never find out bc the rest resolved to kill him after he turned and spent most of their time mentally preparing to make the kill and live on afterwards. they're so busy with their Bad Thoughts that they forgot to give him food and water while he was fighting off the infection and sweating and shuddering from the fever so he really almost died from dehydration.

- the one where Haru from Free! is a zombie in his swim trunks and his regular haunt is the swimming pool. He still swims faster than the surviving humans.
