Dart Bun!
"What? Different species?...Huh, I guess I'm a bunny." So, yeah. Dart's a bunny now. Felt it was thematically appropriate.

i got some takes regarding rabbids with the hairless variant to help you out, due the lack of hair since birth, they of course need extra care like both not only hairless cats but also normal hairless rabbits/bunnies like they are way more likely to bath, and use lotions, sunscreen and are way more likely to wear clothes specially sweaters, gloves, shoes, socks in the ears and paw feet, scarves (if is cold), including hats and wigs.
but sometimes thankfully the longhaired/woolly ones after getting sheared/trimmed for the summer may donate their fur to make wigs or even something to the hairless ones to wear.
Hairless Rabbids come with a lot of health issues. Poor them! And yes, they have to wear clothes all the time or they'll risk either to freeze or to get sunburns. Also skin infections are very common. I guess for them to be regularly healthy, they would have to live near some healing hot springs.
I love the idea of angora Rabbids donating their shedded/sheared fur to the hairless ones! Adding this to the follow-up analysis, thank you!

Hi may i ask for one more cute bunny fact please? 💜
oh my god yes!!!!! i was in 4H as a kid so i studied rabbit facts for like half my lifetime. im giving u two bunny facts for the price of one bc i know too much and i love having an excuse to talk about things :)
fact one! there are three types of rabbit fur: typical, rex, and wool. typical is ur classic standard bunny fur, rex is the super super soft fur that doesnt have guard hairs, and wool is long hairs than can be used to make clothing! angora rabbits are bred for their wool, so if you see a rabbit wool sweater or yarn it’s probably angora.
fact two! you can train rabbits to do agility. both of the bunnies ive had have done agility courses at my state fair. its really fun :) we set up tiny tunnels and jumps and obstacles for them and with enough practice they can get really good at it!
#aaaaa thank you for the ask!!!! :)))#pinktext#ask#i should post more pictures of usagi sometime#shes very cute but she never ever sits still for photos

I once was reading a book specifically about rabbits when I was little and a grown adult (bus assistant) looked over my shoulder at the picture of an angora rabbit getting a checkup at the vet and said, “Wow, that’s a hairy dog!” I pointed to the text beneath the picture and said, “That’s actually a bunny rabbit. My mom told me about these guys. They are called angora rabbits. Their fur gets shaved to make sweaters sometimes.”
And the bus assistant was like, “No, that is a dog!”
So I showed her the cover of the book, which had the word “Rabbit” in giant letters.
The bus assistant got it then, but the younger girl sitting next to me said, “That says dog!”
I corrected her, saying the actual title of the book (which I now forget but I remember it had the word “rabbit” in it), but, alas, she was but an average Kindergartner, and I was a 4th grader who learned to read in Preschool. So she still insisted that the cover of the book said “Dog”, because she was in the “pretending to read” phase that I skipped and, therefore, didn’t understand. And she was also in a “I am correct about everything” phase, which I definitely didn’t skip, and therefore, understood. So, to her, the book was about dogs, no matter what I said, no matter how much contradictory evidence I pointed to, it was a dog book for her.
“Whatever,” I told my young friend, “it’s about rabbits, even if you think it’s about dogs.”
If that girl, who is no doubt old enough to read now, happens to be reading this: thank you for sitting with me on the bus. Thank you for the gifts you gave me. That book was about rabbits, though.

AngoraHareAnimic
a gender related to angora rabbits and their fur which can be harmlessly taken from them and turned into a sweater like sheep wool!
prompt 1 of cqce, cuz one of our favourite animals are bunnies ^^
the name is a bit of a pun, angora hare meaning angora rabbit but also hare sounds like hair which is another word for fur.

it goes: I would like to knit a sweater -> I would like to use nicer fibers -> maybe I can make my own yarn -> I can card and wash my own wool to make my own yarn -> I could use pet fur -> I could totally take care of a bunny/goat and get angora wool -> i am knitting sweaters for goats.
oddly enough there is no line between lovingly reclaimed and recycled materials used in eco-conscious design and building shit out of weird garbage you found while dumpster diving. You would think there would be a clear dividing line, but no. It's like walking into thick fog and not knowing when you got wet, except that now you're swimming, you are definitely swimming and you maybe expected to get a little damp but now you're not even wet because you're fully immersed in water.
its all in the end product. it's cost-conscious, its eco-friendly, it's entirely unique and irreplicable. It's literal garbage but you can't tell.

Maryland Sheep and Wool Festival 2019
Haul: 2 skeins handpainted sock yarn, 1 skein of what says DK but which is def more like a sock weight, a sweater lot of merino/alpaca 70/30 mustard yellow for literally HALF PRICE i am dying i cant believe i paid $56 for $112 worth of yarn in the exact weight and color i have been looking for and it is so pretty and soft, a 4 oz braid of "faux cashmere" (microfiber nylon) which is the softest thing on the planet, a 2.7 oz hand-dyed bat of alpaca-wool blend that has SPARKLES, and a whole lb of buttercream Jacob wool roving that i got for only $1/oz and which im love bc jacob sheeps are the cutest. Also got a mini-poster from 2016, 2018, and 2019, as well as a full size poster from 2016 and 2017, and only had to pay for the 2019 mini bc the past years were free babeyyyy!
See also: the coolest fiber group (all the groups had someone doing each step from fleece to loom) that was lotr themed, as well as a woman who spins yarn straight off her angora rabbit every year (thats a literal napping bunny in her lap i die)

I think I like bunnies! But I'm not sure.... What is your favorite picture of a cute bunny?
Anon! You have shocked me to my core! To live without a love for bunnies‽‽
Allow me to show you the bunny ropes!
This is a Dwarf Hotot. They have eyeliner, like me. This one is in a basket for some reason. Maybe it’s attached to a bike and he’s off on some adventures with his human friend.
This is a Holland Lop. They have floppy ears that make them look a lil sleepy and derpy. This one is splooting. It’s amazing.
This is an Angora rabbit. They look like majestic fluffy steeds for tiny fae creatures. Some people shave them and make sweaters, which is weird, but I appreciate their aspiration to be touching a bunny all day, all over. Me too, weird fur yarn people.
I don’t really know for sure what all these guys are but I love them nonetheless
Also, as a bonus, this best bunny who ever lived
As you can see, bunnies are adorable. They are incredibly soft, make great pets, and are chock full of personality and individuality. Plus every way that they move is unbearably precious.
Thank you for listening to this very important PSA.

DOG YARN FACTS:
Yarn made out of dog is called chiengora, it is a portmanteau of the french word for dog, chien, and angora which is a type of fiber producing bunny that has a similar fuzzy halo when spun!
Chiengora can also hold in a lot more heat than wool, so if you are wearing a sweater of it under your winter coat, it is possible to overheat.
There is also a company trying to trademark the word because they are trying to sell chiengora as a more sustainable product and their mission statement talks shit about wool like it is not also sustainable or that serious wool farmers have to treat their sheep well to get good fiber. They were also going around and harassing indie spinners about using the tag #chiengora :3
Is Basil's fur big enough to make thread from?
Yes it's long enough to spin into yarn, my mom will use another yarn as a base then spin dog wool onto it. Here's a hat made from pushok's fur

Dad and his wife are disney princesses. They literally have a family of deer living in their yard. They have a fawn. They were laying in the driveway when we pulled in. They just moved toward the back. Closest I've been to a live wild deer.
Stacy also has a squirrel friend named monkey who once followed her into the house and gave herself a nice tour before calmly rejoining her outside for some more peanuts. Apparently it was like an "oh, going in? Sure, I wanna see what it's like inside." Stacy didnt realize she had a tail and expected it to suddenly freak when she realized a squirrel made it's way in but Monkey was a very polite guest. Just took a look around and went back out when good and ready.
She has a crow named Willow too but I guess he's too shy for strangers.
They can apparently identify Monkey's offspring. Monkey is easy, she's all black. Not all her offspring though.
They have 2 bunnies. One's an angora and lets us pet her. Rocky is too wary. Stacy runs a bunny rescue. She's usually an artist, but needed a Covid job. Now she's a bunny lady.
Dad's been home a couple hours. We were on the patio and he leans over like "I'm about to smack some deer butt. It's eating my pumpkin" (one plant, entirely caged in wire)
And then later he leans over again like "are- are those silkworms!?" Stacy deadpan serious goes "where" and next thing i know they've got this scythe looking thing and they're hacking off tree branches.
Dad's such an old man. The first picture Stacy sent of him out of the hospital, he's got a sweater and loafers. And he's very "get off my lawn!" now lmao
He makes me think of my uncle, but like; a liberal version.

I cast on the Water Dancer Cowl. The yarn I'm using, I recycled from a light blue sweater and hand-dyed it with aqua and periwinkle. It's sport weight 55% ramie, 15% angora bunny, 15% nylon, and 15% acrylic. I'm using a size US7 (4.5mm) circular needle. I hate doing seed stitch but I love the way it looks, so I decided I want to keep all the borders to that instead of garter stitch. So I cast on 117 instead of the specified 120, because seed stitch repeats more easily with an odd number. Also I can increase up to the 120 stitches for the body of the cowl without changing to the larger needle. This yarn is finer than I thought it was so I think I'd get a flimsy cloth moving up to the the size US8. Because the yarn I'm using is 55% ramie, it's not as fluffy as wool. I like it so far though. It looks like light on water. The color is different on the 2 pics because the left was taken indoors in artificial light and the right was taken outdoors in late afternoon indirect sunlight.

Quick like a Bunnie and thanks to the "Wool and Fiber Arts" folk
Quick like a Bunnie and thanks to the “Wool and Fiber Arts” folk
While we sit by the fire to stay warm during the mild winter weather, Ma; my Better half, has designed and knitted up a new simple Angora/Shetland sweater that, of course, I wanted to share in this week’s Sunday Post. Online Wool and Fibers Fests During this pandemic, The Fiber Nation has found new ways to get fibers, yarn and more out to actually a larger audience, which has been a great thing…
