Director Anees Bazmee returns with a sequel to the 2011 hit; says the film will go on the floors depending on the actor’s availability Salman Khan, who kicked off work on Ali Abbas Zafar’s Eid 2019 release Bharat on Sunday with co-star Disha Patani, is to start two new projects — Dabbang 3 with Prabhudheva and brother Sohail Khan’s Sher Khan — after wrapping it up. Now, Mirror has learnt that the actor has added another fi lm to his already choc-o-bloc schedule. Producer Bhushan Kumar reveals that talks are on with the 52-year-old actor for a sequel to Anees Bazmee’s 2011 hit, Ready. While the original had Asin as Salman’s leading lady, an actress is yet to be fi nalised for the sequel.

Bhushan Kumar told Mirror, “Bharat, my production with Atul Agnihotri, has just started and now we are in talks with Salman bhai and Anees bhai for Ready 2. We are just waiting for the script to get ready so that we can take it forward.”

Bhool Bhulaiya 2 Finally broke the Jinx at Bollywood and Became a Superhit

You might have noticed this unnecessary hate for Bollywood for the last two years on social media and people rejoicing when a Bollywood movie flops at the ticket window. With South Indian movies like RRR and KGF2 becoming big success and failure of Bollywood movies like Bachchan Pandey, Heropanti 2, and Runway 34 has only escalated this hate towards Bollywood. Bollywood movies are also to be blamed for this as there is no innovation in terms of the script in Bollywood movies depending only on the star power of the big stars of Bollywood.

The last Bollywood hit movie was The Kashmir Files but there are other reasons for it being a success and such movies come only once in many years. So when Bhool Bhulaiya 2 starring Karthik Aryan, Kiara Advani, and Tabu released last week, both trade and the general public were skeptical about the movie because of an underwhelming trailer and most thought that it only wants to milk on the first Bhool Bhulaiya movie starring Akshay Kumar which was a big hit when released in 2007.

But when BhoolBhulaiya 2 was released, it actually surprised the people as it is a genuinely good movie with the right amount of comedy and horror, and horror comedies if made well always do good at the box office like Stree and Golmaal Returns.

Bhool Bhuliya 2 got an opening of 14.11 crores second only to Sooryavanshi this year and it has got thumbs up from critics and audience alike. With a good opening like this, it installed hope on the people that finally a Bollywood movie can break the jinx of flop movies and may become a big hit. The opening was not just a fluke as it earned an impressive 14.34 crores on Saturday and on Sunday it collected Rs 23.51 crores which took its opening weekend collection to Rs 55.96 crores.

The movie is already a hit and now the trade is waiting whether it can touch a total lifetime collection of 150 crores or not as it will cross the 100 crores mark easily this week. Bhool Bhulaiya 2 was produced by Bhushan Kumar of T.Series and directed by Anees Bazmi who earlier gave big hits like No Entry, Welcome and Sing is King but his last couple of movies like Welcome Back and Paagalpanti didn’t click with the audience and lots of his career was on stake with Bhool Bhulaiya 2.

One good thing about Bhool Bhulaiya 2 is that it actually entertained people and word of mouth is spreading, unlike other movies that fall flat after a good opening. It has ended the dry spell at the box office as the last hit in Bollywood was Gangubai Kathiawadi released a couple of months ago.

It reinstalled the faith that the hate we see is mostly limited to social media and a bunch of people spreading propaganda and if made well, people are still interested in watching Bollywood movies. With big movies like Ayushman Khurana starer Anek releasing next and the YRF magnum opus Prithviraj starring Akshay Kumar releasing a week after Anek, people are hoping that Bollywood will be back on track if these movies do well at the box office.

Review Bhool Bhulaiya 2 – Bhavna Dil Se

It’s difficult for anyone who has seen Bhool Bhulaiya to forget the name Manjulika or the song Aami Je Tomar but its unfair for the director of Bhool Bhulaiya 2 to cash on this and make every character sing this song be it Kartik, Kiara or Tabu and I would like to throw a challenge even if no one takes it ,the challenge being how many times do you hear the word Manjulika in the movie.

Perhaps it can easily beat the number of times we hear ‘Mogamabo Khush Hua’ in Mr. India hope I got the movie and dialogue right the way my thoughts are messed up after watching Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 I doubt my abilities to get the facts right.

Kiara needs to choose her scripts wisely. Through her characters now she comes across as a person who is weak in decision making and lacks an independent mindset.Kabir controlled her in the movie Kabir Singh and in this movie please decide for yourself where the gap is.

Kartik singing the Manjulika song can give nightmares, I wonder what Vidya Balan has to say to this disastrous scripting.

Apart from this he does leave an impact by trying hard to save the film that might sink by the time I post this review.

Tabu is in a double role and I can bet if she is asked to point out who is Manjulika and who is Anjulika she will not get this one right.

The movie is supposed to be a horror comedy, for sure there is no horror element for even a 5-year-old and coming to the comedy part, yes I did laugh on few occasions because I am a Rajpal Yadav fan and his very presence can bring a smile on my face.

I wonder why am I being so critical when I would have still gone to watch this one even if I read a similar review.

I missed you Akshay and I still remember you Vidya as the original Manjulika !!

So I take away the 2 stars I have reserved only for them and so I am left with 3. Out of 3 I take 2 more stars one from Kiara and one from Tabu and I divide the balance 1 between Rajpal and Kartik and now I better end the rating effort as I am going the Anees Bazmi way who drove me insane with his movie.

Aug 16, 2021 The anxiety to attract eyeballs has portals keeling over with enthusiastic fabrications, the latest being a report on Pinkvilla which says Salman Khan is all set to be directed in a comedy film by Anees Bazmi. The report even informs us that Salman will be named Prem in the alleged comedy. It also names the alleged producers of the comedy.

However when I contacted Anees he was taken back by Pinkvilla’s claims. “This is news to me. I am directing a film with Salman Khan, and I don’t even know about it? Perhaps those who wrote this report can inform me when I will be reaching the set and also when it gets released, so I can keep myself free…No seriously, there is no such talk.” Anees fondly recalls his long association with Salman. “We go back a long way. Salman Bhai did a guest appearance in my film No Entry 16 years ago. His character and the film were a hit. We then did Ready which was also a rage. Since then we haven’t had the chance to work together. I’d love to work with him again, but right now there is no project on the anvil.

”Incidentally all attempts to rope in Salman Khan for the sequel to No Entry (No Entry Mein Entry) failed as Salman refuses to work with producer Boney Kapoor due to personal differences. Says Anees, “That was unfortunate. Maybe some other time. Right now I am completely focused on completing Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 .We started before the pandemic. Our last schedule in Lucknow had to be called off in March 2020 because of the lockdown. We have resumed shooting on one set. Two more sets have to be put up. Insha Allah, we will complete Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 by next month.”
