I do polls about the qsmp eggs and what kind of children they are! Suggestions are greatly appreciated, as I am a one man band!

Polls will be scheduled to post at 10AM PST every day, but I also love to reblog things about the eggs! I also run events to encourage people to make eggsonas and interact with others in the fandom, as well as posting art/stories about my own egg OC's!

AGHHH MY FIRST ASK!!!!!!!!/pos

Fair warning, this is going to be a LONGGGG ass post and it will mention ableism towards NPDers. I want to make sure I cover as much as possible. If you have NPD and want to add anything, pls do so in a reblog or the comments! I am also super delirious so if what I say makes no sense I'm so sorry 😭

I think a full, completely in depth understanding is the key to not writing something stigmatizing/demonizing. It sounds obvious, but in the case of NPD, there's so much misinformation so I am hoping this post can guide you in the writing process. You never know what little thing can cause accidental mischaracterization.

This is a super important topic for me because honestly, I'm trying to figure out the same as someone with NPD myself, even with all the info available. I feel like there's so much grey area because so much is still unknown about the disorder (fuck the psych system/narc abuse believers). A lot of us have to go from our personal experiences and figure things out on our own, which brings me to my first topic:

Self Diagnosis And The Criteria!!!!!!!!

A LOT of us are self diagnosed, including myself. Whether you're officially diagnosed or not, most of us can agree the DSM5 is booty ass. I bring up self diagnosis specifically because due to the DSM5 being shitty, it's suuuper difficult to get diagnosed or even want a diagnosis. I personally don't want one.

If that's a theme you want to bring up in your work, I would definitely follow blogs here that break down the diagnostic criteria and re-define it in a realistic way. Having this is super important because the DSM5 is MADDD confusing even if it wasn't ableist.

Your characters might resonate with that confusion and even anger. Rage is such a prominent emotion with us narcissists, so its highly encouraged you tap into that. The stigma is so impactful to most of us and personally keeps me hidden.

If you went off the official criteria, you could innocently and accidentally write an ableist trope based off the DSM5. For example, the DSM5 has a very vague and "I do this just because I can blah blah blah and there's a name for it" narrative of narcissists. There's no nuance. They state accurate symptoms but don't accurately explain why we have them. Without context, it makes our intentions ultimately one size fits awful.

Here are some resources that have been super helpful to me!

Some extra specific things I keep in mind when writing my narcissistic characters:

-“Bad behavior” is such an important phrase to emphasize when writing narcissists negative symptoms and being mindful on how you approach the impact. Make sure that phrase is clear, even if they will not redeem themselves and are a piece of garbage. They did xyz because of bad behavior due to symptoms, they hurt john doe because of bad behavior due to symptoms. They make the conscious choice not to change their bad behavior because abc or they make the conscious choice to do better because blah blah blah.

-Depending on what communication style you want two or more characters to have, make sure the outcomes are accurate based off of symptoms. My examples don't explain narcissists as a whole, but they are based off of my symptoms:

Lack of Communication: Increase in superiority symptoms, increase in rage, increase in invalidation and inferiority feelings. Other parties, specifically egotypicals may have a misconception of the narcissist and believe their symptoms are how they really are and can't be redeemed due to stigma. In the situation involving a narcissist however, in my experience when this happens I'm always so confused. Nothing makes sense and nobody is explaining anything to me. I need outside perspective as to why my actions are wrong and lack of communication will sink me deeper into my delusions. Communication is so important coming from the outside perspective to snap me out of my spiral. Lack of communication on my end will cause me to bottle up my feelings, convinced I’m better alone. Not explaining my intentions (or lack there of, to be completely blunt and vulnerable.) to someone I hurt can cause them so much more pain too. I don't want to hurt anyone, and even if I don't FEEL sorry, I can acknowledge I don't want the people I care for to be hurt by my bad actions.

Proper Communication: Honestly in my case, usually the damage I caused isn’t forgiven however rebuilding that trust becomes so much easier accepting that and opening up to the person/people I hurt. The narcissist usually knows they can prevent xyz going forward, and the other party is prepared on how to handle the situation in case it happens again. In my experience, communication is super beneficial in terms of receiving supply too. ESPECIALLY when the other person involved is also a narcissist, they know that pain of not receiving praise/admiration and we can understand each other moving forward.

Other narcissists I encourage you give your experience w this too bc I have seen very diff ones!

-If you want to implement characters who are ableist towards the narcissist, some things I would do are:

Show the narcissists internal monologue after the trauma and put your main focus on their emotions, the ableist person’s actions second. The weight of their words will be shown more in the trauma response, less in the moment (although super important). Focus the context on the narc crash, anxiousness, surprise, grandiosity overcompensation, etc.

Have other characters defend the narcissist, preferably being other narcissists because we are the ones who understand each other the most and back each other up no matter what

Show the importance of proper education and lack of education

Ask yourself how this is relevant to the plot and your character/characters

-Ask yourself, why does/doesn't my character want to be redeemed? Is it a symptom or is it genuine? Do they want to do better but don't recognize it? Why don't they recognize it? What symptoms are holding them back from xyz (social connections, self care etc.).?

Examples of answers to these questions:

My character doesn't want to be redeemed because they are convinced they are justified in their actions. They genuinely believe they did the right thing and need time to get out of that mindset. What's stopping them from getting out of that mindset is the delusion they are stuck in. Working on their trauma triggers can help lessen the blow and onset of psychosis. If they recognize they are wrong, my character is the type of person to crash and have suicidal urges. There is a slow build up before the crash that spirals into madness. What may help is getting supply from their friends/partners reassuring them that recognizing their bad actions are a first step followed by praise for things outside of the situation to bring them back to a solid baseline or narc high.

My character has a hard time socializing because when having an episode of grandiosity, they feel like they are better than everyone and no one is at their level. In episodes of insecurity, they feel like they don't deserve friends because they feel worthless. This is followed by perfectionism and seeking unwanted friendships, only to self-destruct and hurt those around them. Their ego impacts everything they do.

-SHAMEEEE is one of the most important emotions (in my experience) to write about so pls make that an important part of how your character views themselves!

-I know I have been only focusing on negative aspects, but also do highlight the positive aspects. For me, NPD has motivated me to work on myself. It isn’t the healthiest way, but given my circumstance, it is the healthiest I can do right now. Even my most wild and delusional thoughts can lead to great opportunities for self improvement. Thinking I’ll become famous? Gave myself tools to work on my executive dysfunction and be consistent with a project I love. Narc highs are also absolutely incredible. Finding folks who understand me and receiving praise has kept me going. I genuinely feel listened to. Narcissists are some of the nicest people you will ever meet because they know what it feels like to hate themselves. No matter how little empathy some of us have, that doesn’t mean we can’t acknowledge one another (even if my symptoms make me feel so singular in my experiences/contradict the point of acknowledging others).

So many of us are autistic. SO MANY. This small survey statistic doesn’t scratch the surface but it’s important to look at!

As an autistic person myself, I feel like a lot of the trauma I faced growing up highly contributed to the development of NPD. I was othered, shunned, invalidated and shamed for just existing. Still am. That made me overcompensate with erratic attempts to be wanted and loved and just acknowledged in any way possible. I want to be SEEN.

If anyone wants an in depth post sharing my experiences with bipolar disorder and NPD I will absolutely do so if asked too!

How NPD affects my gender itself, dysphoria and sexuality:

In my experience as a fat trans man, a lot of my dysphoria is rooted in narcissism, internalized fatphobia and internalized toxic masculinity. I want to be the ideal boyfriend that is praised for existing. My male privilege definitely contributes to that want and I can acknowledge and dislike that part of myself. I expect this certain level of respect for being a man without realizing it sometimes and make sure to hold myself accountable when doing so. My dysphoria makes me feel inferior to other men because I don't "pass" and I feel the need to compete against them. The insecurity is consuming me and I do my best to be aware if I cross any lines.

What I have noticed about gender and sexuality in NPDers is that a lot yall are aroace and nonbinary! Like based off of my survey alone and people I know!

I asked one of my mutuals if it wanted to share his experiences of being a POC with NPD and it agreed!! He wanted to stay anonymous (aka super duper awesomely cool and mysterious) so I’ll just be posting the ss of what he said!

I do not have much to say on the response from my mutual because I feel like what it said speaks for itself and because we've spoken in private about the topic already! If you want to write an Asian character with NPD, this is really useful information!!!! One day I will make a post elaborating on being a POC with NPD myself. But, for now, this will help you understand an experience from an Asian perspective.

A quick explanation of my sona/OC of the same name:

If some of you have seen my oc Lucky (full title being LuckyFailureGirl), you might be a bit confused on why my main blog is titled that and my RP blog for her is a separate play on words ( @luckyisgirlfailing ). Your confusion completely understandable!! To elaborate though, "LuckyFailureGirl" has always been a username of mine across platforms, so I used that when I came to Tumblr. When I finally wanted to make a blog for Lucky themselves, I realized it was kind of too late,,, and I had to come up with a different title for her blog, but that doesn't change her official title or name. He is my sona/oc, and we share the same name and pronouns, but she also has a very different personality from me at times. She's not really a good person, but she's not meant to be super edgy either!!! You can find more information on her background on her blog, or you can ask me about them. I love talking about my ocs!!!

Ok so hold on let me compliment u first cuz u are actually so amazing!!! i’ve been following ur stuff for a while now (not rlly, since like summer 24 but shh) and honestly ur writing is so stunning and beaand breathtaking and legit made me pull up the dictionary like every two seconds (mostly cuz eng isnt my first language), like if shakespear himself was reborn to this time and age i’m convived he was born as u, cuz ur talent is INSANE?? like AAAAAAAAAAAA

first of STOP IT bc youre so sweet (& if you've been following me since summer '24 then you've been here the whole time bc i made this account in july!!! <3) the dictionary part ahahaha i get it!!! you're so kind to say such things i appreciate you & im so happy you like my writing!!

dw about rambling i literally don’t stop taking ever. & i believe you that ur blog is SO cute!!!!

i would be happy to share some tips ! i obviously am not the best source bc im not a professional writer and to each their own – but here's a (very long im sorry) list of what i recommend:

in terms of tumblr,

having a 'backlog' of fics in your arsenal is a great thing. i think even a plethora of diferent wips can be a great thing too (there's 11 unfinished wips in my folder rn that may not see the light of day), even if you're a slow writer (like me). that being said, it doesn't have to be that way — sometimes i post things right after finishing them just bc i want to share it!!!

along that vein, i know a lot of my moots here have schedules or structuring to posts. alerting their followers or posting teasers before (i do like to do this often), or scheduling fics to be posted on a certain day/time. i think this is wonderful; though i haven't been able to keep myself to such a routine, and literally just let things rip whenever.

time zone reblogging is a good way to ensure any readers around da globe see your fic! you can figure out some of the main time zones and schedule reblogs of your fics for those times. i sometimes do this too!

create your post draft w/ title/headers/warnings & tags etc beforehand bc it is SUCH a drag to do when you’re about to post a fic!!!

again, people are for the most part very kind here; don't feel like you have to be churning out fics just to keep people's attention. your writing will be wonderful & they will (they WILL. or else i will Get Them) be grateful that you chose to share it!!

in terms of general writing, i actually have so many thoughts on writing and preferences, but i dont want to be insane on main so here's just a few things off the dome—

love your story!! i think people's best works are when they become deeply invested with their own plot/characters. it's why i chose to leave certain characters, because i was no longer loving/enjoying my stories.

withhold information from your readers. i am a huge believer in the theory of omission. this seems to be a bit controversial on here; but i personally am in support of Hemingway's iceberg theory. overwhelming readers with information is boring. let them use their imagination to keep them & yourself from getting burnt out, & allow them to see what they'd like to within those gaps.

write first & edit later. this is something that took me a while to get into the habit of bc i always feel the need to fix things immediately. but it helps the writing process to get out your thoughts and structure first, then fine-comb it after. it saves energy & time!!!

especially in longer fics, avoid logical fallacy — ie., arguments that do not have adequate support. if your characters are fighting and it is for a reason that is not believable (same with a larger scale, like war), then it isn't as realistic nor entertaining to read!!! (i could elaborate but i could write so much on all of this HAH)

USE THE FIVE SENSES. all of them. they are your friend for creating imagery and i use them all the time. this also helps to avoid white room syndrome.

speaking of imagery: make use of both literal and figurative.

literal — obvious & realistic description of anything. ex; describing how black the wings of a raven are. simple& makes a huge difference in world building. figurative — my favorite; words and descriptions that imply certain ideas & need to be interpreted. describing how shadows slither around corners; implying distrust or paranoia, thoughts of serpents, etc. (this is where you have to have faith in your readers — perhaps i put too much faith in them sometimes lmao.)

my favorite way to ensure a cohesive work is to always anchor a motif. i always write with a clear recurring element in my works (could be some device, reference of some sort, words/verbal formula) which appears habitually. in every piece ive written there is at least one motif & usually more (i could cite examples but im not going to rn). it’s my favorite way of conveying emotion & importance. it help sets mood — and ties your whole fic together.

George Orwell has written a lot about never using the passive where you can use the active... this is obviously a preference; i have read countless astounding fics here that write in the passive, but i personally find myself more engaged in active tense. you’re IN the story, not being told of it.

DO NOT USE AI BOTS TO HELP GENERATE YOUR WRITING. ai is incredibly harmful to art; i understand folks who have english not as their native language attempt to use bots to 'polish' their writing, although it is so incredibly obvious when it is used — because computers use patterns. AI CANNOT CREATE, it can only replicate. it can only steal. they use repetitive words, phrases, and structures; all chat GPT fics read, in one way or another, the same; and have a non-human touch which is ingenuine. writers are beautiful and unique because they are different, because we all have a different relationship with english and writing. i often wonder if my translations come out incorrectly because my mother tongue is not english (however i've spoken it basically all my life, so i acknowledge it is different); though i think the charm in authors is their choice in expression. i hope people are confident with themselves, no matter their perceived skill level. i hope they know a robot will take away their intrinsic skill and natural talent. i hope they know it is incredibly obvious when chat bots are used to generate writing. and i see it in this fandom all the fucking time.

Bitch no one gives a fuck that he is black!! Motherfucker is telling people/threatening to eat glass to get away from what he's said to people. Calling someone out for gaslighting and trying to manipulate people with that shit ain't racist. Also using self diagnosis and laying about taking pill that will “get you high” as a way to get out of all his call outs. This is the stupidest shit I have seen while being on tumblr for the past three or so years like damn!!💆🏾‍♀️

i honestly giggled when his bf tried to say “y’all hate black people” when pretty much everyone speaking on him is black. why would i do that bc he’s black?? i’m black, not to mention a darskin girl. do with that info what you will.

ppl wna make us seem like bullies so bad. this isn’t just about what happened w catty, hell, it’s hardly about her at all! it’s ab his behavior in general. it’s inappropriate! if he would’ve just owned up, there wouldn’t have been a problem. i’m not obsessed w this nigga, i don’t care to go out of my way to make a post ab him everyday. he’s the one who escalated this further. he only wants us to “mind our business” when we’re not coming for his neck.

ab his mental health, if he doesn’t have a real diagnosis, he needs to not claim mental illnesses like that, but rather acknowledge that something is wrong with him. if you make a mistake, you need to not blame every damn thing on your said mental illness. if anything it’s a justification, but never an excuse. take the initiative to look at yourself and decide if you’re in the right headspace to be on the internet or not. i struggle with mental health, but not in the way he allegedly does. if ik i’m not in the right headspace for something, i step away. he needs to do that. and invest in a diary.

i genuinely don’t know why people are defending him when he did this to himself. if woulda stopped riding my dick like beyoncé rode that surfboard, then maybe we wouldn’t be here right now. accountability isn’t a bad thing. we’ve all made mistakes. i know i’ve made many, it’s about how you address them that matters.

i was literally defending his lame ass when he was sending inboxes as an anon to cause more mess between these two girls. yao was saying he was behind the anon and obv i didn’t believe her bc it wasn’t making sense to me at the time, and there was no real way to prove it. but then he started sending her hella inboxes and tagged all his mutuals saying “war has begun” a whole day later. when i tell you i showed one of my bsfs that post and we LAUGHEDD 🤣🤣🤣 nigga this is tumblrrrr, not a battlefield! from that day i’ve been watching him lmao. didn’t wna say anything about his behavior until i gathered more info cuz i’m not a mean girl (and didn’t want his army bombarding my inbox), but this is ridiculous.

Talking to quite literally no one on here with the exception of like one person is not gonna get you the interaction you deserve on your fics and blog… just saying. Not trying to be mean, I just want to let you know that it’s a give and take on tumblr……..you can post just for you and that’s cool and fine, but building a community of mutuals or interacting with other writers wil help in the Long run

I am not good at socially interacting with other people, I am autistic. I reblog things I am interested in and support my mutuals, but I am also not very active here! I interact with others better on discord! I do not like answering personal messages because one on one conversation can be difficult and awkward for me unless I REALLY click with the person, and even then I only have so much social battery.

I don’t read a lot of fanfiction these days because there’s not a lot of content of what I LIKE available on tumblr. When I see it, I reblog it, follow the author, and make sure to leave nice comments.

I do not expect or want others to be social with me, like messaging me. Joining my discord and talking to me is the extent of what I want, but messages on here give me anxiety and I struggle to answer them. That’s why I answer asks and not messages.

Idk, for someone that’s only on tumblr to write(yes I write using tumblr drafts save me) and struggles to interact with others, I think I do okay. I will never be able to do things the same ways neurotypicals do, or even some other autistic people do.

And also… I don’t get a lot of people that want to be mutuals with me, or even interact with their own mutuals! I’ve posted saying I’d like to support the d reader/hxh x reader community by following/reblogging content by adult writers, and I didn’t get many people that I could follow(didn’t have an age on their account or wrote content that personally triggers me/I’m not interested in). Again social interaction is hard and I don’t want to ask people to be mutuals and I struggle to organically be good at making friends. Currently I only have a handful of people I consider friends, and only ONE of those people are someone I know IRL. I have ONE. ONE IRL friend.

I just vomit my thoughts onto this account pretty much! I’d like to make a few friends that have similar interests, but I’m not too stressed about it most days. Again I’d much rather use discord to interact with people. I’m not sure how you want me to interact with people? Reblog their posts? Publicly talk to them through reblogs or asks? 😭??

<3 I think that when people make a habit of throwing around the word "abuse" like candy when analyzing media, it makes them feel like they are fighting some kind of valiant battle that extends beyond the realm of fictional media. People who don't agree with them aren't just people they dislike or don't agree with about a silly show—they are unethical people causing real world harm to real people. This is a dangerous attitude to have in terms of how it encourages you to perceive others in the fandom space. By perceiving people who disagree with you as unethical/morally evil, harassment becomes endorsable.

That said, I was really just fucking around because someone added some annoying tags to one of my posts, was continuing through my blog to continue doing that, and was simultaneously doing that on one of my friends blogs with a very clear goal (though they aren't going to acknowledge what their goal very clearly was). I usually avoid responding to these kinds of things tbh, but I was in a certain mood. I'm not going to apologize for talking how I want on my blog, about responses to my own posts, but my colorful choice of words inviting disk horse about me from people who already clearly have a problem with me and are looking for reasons to invalidate me isn't surprising.

I used to try to be above it all and there are still ways I am not going to engage (including not opening dialogue with people who approach discussion in such blatant bad faith—beyond some silly tags) but I'm also getting tired of some people's sanctimonious belief that fandom is activism and deanfans need to be put in their place. I have seen too many people get bullied (even fully out of the fandom) because some person with a sense of moral superiority got it in their head that sending people harassment is okay if it's over X or Y fandom issue.

So even though I have said it many times in general terms, I'll say it again here in more specific terms: Please do not send harassment of any kind to anyone who was involved in today's disk horse. I don't care what you think of them. Just leave them alone. Block and filter their url if you must.

i’m guilty of asking someone why i was blocked before bc i genuinely had no idea why i was. my age was on my blog, it wasn’t blank, all that and i asked but in the most kind way possible, and i told them they don’t owe me an explanation but that i am an overthinker and would like to know what i did or what was wrong w my blog so that i could fix it so me getting blocked for the same reason on someone else’s blog, doesn’t happen. And i genuinely liked their blog and it turned out to be a misunderstanding the whole time on the writers part. misunderstandings happen and ppl overthink 😭 but for the most part i do agree that nobody should be harassing blogs or giving their negative opinions on being blocked bc at the end of the day it is YOUR blog and you can block whoever, but me personally i don’t mind telling ppl what they did wrong so they can either tell me it’s a misunderstanding on my part or just to help them out a little so they don’t get blocked by the next blog

I think that’s fair to an extent! I totally understand overthinking and misunderstandings occurring but I also feel that there’s a high chance you’re putting the blog in an uncomfortable position with asking the question, as polite as some people may be about it.

idk, I think I just feel pretty strongly about it all rn. I know for a fact the people I’ve blocked (for very, very good reason) are still lurking on my page, sending anonymous hate from burner accounts etc. and this hate is getting nasty and threatening. the blogs I’ve blocked were for the sake of my own sanity but I do understand your point of view! 🧡

When did you get into Drarry and why? I was actually a Jily/Wolfstar shipper back in OG fandom days, and sometimes I would read Viktor/Hermione fic and drarry would be the side pairing. Anyhoo, got back into fandom in 2019 and went down the rabbit hole looking for some of my favorite older fics, somehow ended up in dramione-land and read practically every fic on AO3 for the pairing (I know this sounds crazy, and I wouldn’t believe it if it hadn’t happened to me 😂💀) and then was sad that I had read mostly everything. Dabbled a bit in Drarry fics, reading them at random while waiting for new WIP chapters, for a few months. Then I made a Tumblr. I saw art for Running on Air by @tinyhistory. I am a simple raccoon, I see pretty things, I click. I ended up reading the entire fic in one sitting.

Which Drarry fic hooked you? The Fallout by everythursday (Dramione) is the fic that dragged me back to fandom kicking and screaming. Running on Air is what brought me over to Drarry (and by god, is it beautiful!!), but the fic that truly hooked me was Tea and No Sympathy by who_la_hoop. I think that same week after I finished it, after the requisite amount of time spent staring at a wall and feeling as if my entire life had changed, I sat down and read through all of bix/firethesound/loveglows/lqt fics. There was not a lot of sleep happening. Lol.

Top three favorite Drarry fics: this was so difficult 😂 my 400 bookmarks are yelling at me!

1. Coming Home by @nerdherderette

M, 9.8k - TWs: MCD, Grief/Mourning, Mild Sexual Content

Three years after his world was shattered, Harry tries to pick up the pieces at the place he once called home.

I literally can’t even count the amount of times I’ve read this fic - I know that in 2021 I read it 18 times. 💀💀 And I’ve begged countless people to read it. It’s so gorgeous; the prose is exactly what you expect, entirely captivating and encompassing, and Harry’s grief feels so real. Though we don’t get a happy ending here, there’s something about this fic that holds my entire heart. This story taught me a lot as a writer about how a story doesn’t need to be fairy tales and rainbows at the end to have a striking and meaningful conclusion that feels right.

2. genesis (you don’t know what it means to win) by crossourbridges

T, 73.5k - No TWs

Harry Potter didn’t help the Malfoy’s because he owed them; he did it because it was the right thing to do. He’s not sure why he keeps going back to visit, except that it seems to annoy Draco Malfoy and he loves annoying Draco Malfoy.

Ya’ll. This Harry. He is the ultimate characterization for me. Honestly, this type of fic is largely not my style - it’s kind of light-hearted and humorous, and there is no smut (😭). BUT. and this is a huge but. The writing is so dynamic, and the drarry banter is SPOT ON, and there’s even some lovely interaction with Narcissa, who I absolutely adore in this story. It’s SO GOOD. I find myself coming back to this fic as a comfort read (because who doesn’t read 74k words for comfort). I absolutely fall in love with the boys all over again every time. I tend to keep this fic open in my tabs, that’s how often I read it!

3. the space between (what you want and what you need) by disapparater

M, 13.6k - TWs: major character injury, disability, sexual dysfunction

As a specialist Healer in dark magic, Draco has had his fair share of difficult cases and awkward patients. Still, nothing has prepared him for a curse-paralysed Harry Potter.

Okay. I’m not going to lie. This isn’t an easy read. (In fact, you’ll find that most of the fics I enjoy aren’t). But this is a heartfelt look at acquired physical disabilities, and also features an ace! Draco. Be still, my beating heart! Literary weaknesses abound! As someone who grew up with a disabled parent, who saw the journey in real time and up close, this fic speaks to me on a different level. I love the depth of Harry’s character, and I love the fact that this author chose to write from Draco’s POV as a healer. Being that we’re in Draco’s POV, it’s also incredible to read this fic and get to experience what is, in my opinion, a more accurate portrayal of asexuality/ace spectrum characterisation. As someone who is demi, I’m constantly on the lookout for ace rep in fiction, and this is one of my absolute favorites for that reason. (You can see some of my other ace/demi faves here in my bookmark collection).

They’re in Panama, this time; the rattling of street carts and faint chatter mix with the sound of twilight waking, its insects chirping as the moon slowly rises against a bruised blue-red sky. A curl of smoke drifts, hazy and swirling in the balmy air, thick and lethargic. It’s heavy, hanging stilted and slow-rising, making the grey smoke lazy in its escape.

Ginny sighs, watching for a beat, before her feet are moving her across the room. Inch by inch, slender legs reveal themselves, and her eyes can’t help but follow that bare skin up, up, up, their path only impeded by the thin, white cotton robe wrapping itself around Parkinson’s body. She’s languid, in the way she only gets when she’s away, when she knows Ginny has come at her beck and call once again, lounging loose-limbed, a fag hanging delicately between her fingers over the edge of the chair.

“Thought you’d quit.”

Parkinson’s face turns, eyes flashing open as she lifts the cigarette to her lips, taking a slow drag and exhaling it out the side of her mouth.

“Thought you said you wouldn’t come.”

@nv-md, my darling. i present to you some shameless Ginny thirst art, and as a bonus, a wee pining Pansy POV. happy valentine’s day, and happy early bday, Ali! <3 i cherish you. all my love to @amorsindolor for the beta, hype, and endless wisdom. 💕 you can also read it on AO3! Pansy’s heels are rubbing, even encased in familiar worn leather as they are, her shirt sticky and starched from the sweat of the day. A little piece of her aches, small and sharp, watching as a faint smile crosses Ginevra’s lips, even in the thick of it all. The heat bears down on their backs as the sun burns across the skyline.

Wisps of hair escape Ginevra's braid —tickling her nose and sticking to the perspiration dotting her skin —a loop of rope held in her loose fist. It’s dusty today, much like it is everyday, a thin film of ochre infiltrating anything not locked down or closed up tight. The constant stomping of boots and hooves kicking up the earth is a regrettable exasperation, spinning tiny whirlwinds of grit to tuck into every crevice.

Pansy thinks that maybe she wasn’t quite built for this world, feeling shaky in her own skin, smothering it all up in sharp barbs and snarky quips, edging out anyone who might get close enough to find her out. But Ginevra, well. It’s like she’d been carved out of the mighty red rocks themselves, standing in strong relief against the backdrop. Taking her own place in the landscape, belonging to the earth and the sky and the stars.

Ginevra laughs, looking at Pansy a split-second before she throws her rope through the air.

It’s that feeling, those hidden looks and sly smiles, that tells her this much for certain: that she may be able to count her name among the rest of those great, big things that tether Ginevra to this world.

And that Pansy wants to feel her own lasso pull taut.

tbh this new event made me like xiao a lot more. i just remembered him as this super angsty "nobody understands me" type, but eh, he can be reasonable too, and his past explains why he would sacrifice himself without second thought whenever a problem arises lol

but oh my GOD lemme talk about itto for a minute. holy fuck, im so happy they included him in the new event. shinobu and him were kind of oddly placed, but man am i happy they were. itto is such a skrunkle but somehow his characterization leaned a bit on the annoying side? i mean, maybe he just seemed stupider than usual when hes surrounded by people wiser than himself, but idk. it was also a bit annoying having him be the laughing stock of the team for the whole time but i guess that's his purpose as a character overall lmao

though i do have to admit!! ive never laughed so hard at the jokes in a quest before lmao. (beware - small spoiler) the part where itto tries to open the door by knocking it down when the button was right next to him was comedy gold already, but when the whole team started CLAPPING? 😭 i was HOWLING man lemme tell ya

so yeah that quest was definitely the best one ive played. not only because it included itto - ah, well, he did play a big part in it lol, but overall the quest was really really interesting. especially the ending, hoo boy, i understand now why that final cutscene got people weeping. it was so cool. i wish we wouldve seen more of the other yakshas, but oh well. im satisfied that we got like actual designs for them and not just those silhouettes from the zhongli cutscene

talking about him, im also so happy that he was included 😭 ill never get enough of him

i think hayloft 2 isnt that good if you compare it to the og version. i think their record company was like "hey wouldnt it be crazy if you guys made a sequel to this massively successful song" and they were like "ok"

but on its own, hayloft 2 has me listening to it on repeat rn so... mother mother just does not miss

“Oh my God, Ethan’s here!” Sadie grabs onto Sienna’s arm on the dance floor. “I’m gonna go say hi.”

“No, Sadie–”

Sadie pushes her way through the crowd, stumbling, until she makes it to the bar where Ethan is. She sits on the stool next to him, a little closer than necessary.

“Heeeey, hot stuff.” Sadie leans against the bar, and almost slips off her stool, before catching herself.

“Excuse me?” Ethan responds, looking at her quizzically. Sienna finally makes it through the crowd and puts a hand on Sadie’s shoulder, from behind her. Ethan looks at Sienna and says, “I think maybe you should take her home.”

“Ugh, I know. I’m the designated driver tonight but I feel more like a babysitter. I can’t- I can’t keep track of everybody.” Sienna looks around the bar, hoping to see her other friends making good choices, but she can’t even find them.

“Do you want me to take her home?” Ethan asks.

“Ooh, yes!” Sadie says, jumping up off her stool and tripping on who knows what. Ethan catches her and she grabs onto him, refusing to let go.

“Are you sure you wouldn’t mind?” Sienna asks.

“It’s not a problem.” Ethan grabs his keys out of his pocket.

“Thank you. Sadie, Sadie, make sure you call me when you get home, okay? Or, Ethan, maybe you should call me. Someone call me when she gets home safe, okay?” Sienna rambles.

“We will,” Ethan says, before leading Sadie out the door. When they get to Ethan’s car, he helps Sadie into the passenger’s seat, before getting into the driver’s seat himself.

“Are we going to your place?” Sadie asks, looking out the window as Ethan pulls out of the parking lot.

“No, I’m taking you back to your place.”

“But I wanna go back to your place,” Sadie pouts, looking at Ethan.

“Why?” Ethan asks, not taking his eyes off the road.

“‘Cause I wanna hang out with you. We never hang out outside work. We just work together. Which is not the same.”

Ethan sighs before saying, “I’m taking you back to your place.”

“No! Please,” Sadie begs.

I’m trying to read Wolf Bride (for diamond mining) but it’s literally so hard to read. All the scenes with Bastien (werewolf guy) feel like fucking stockholm syndrome and make me want to vomit. It’s so obvious PB wants you to romance him, but I can’t fucking stand him. UNFORTUNATELY I am too stubborn to leave the book unfinished 🙄

Sadie loved running. It was good for her, it was fun, it made her feel happy. But not today. Today she wanted to curl up in bed with some popcorn and a stupid comedy movie that might take her mind off things. Unfortunately, she had friends who cared about her, including Sienna, who had dragged her out of the house for a run before their shift at Edenbrook.

“Oh, you are stupid. You are a stupid, evil sadist and I wanna kill you,” Sadie said to Sienna as they ran through the park.

“Endorphins are good. Endorphins are mood elevators. This is supposed to make you feel better. Besides, you love running!” Sienna responded.

“Yeah, when my life isn’t falling apart! Sleeping with my boss was a great idea,” Sadie said sarcastically as the two stopped for a break. Sadie laid down on her back in the grass and Sienna laid down next to her.

“Have you cried yet?” Sienna asked, looking over at her friend.

“Of course I cried. I cried when I found out and now I don’t need to cry anymore. I’ve done that part.” Sadie answered.

“You can cry more than once.” The two stared at the sky for a minute.

“Do you want me to cry now?” Sadie asked.

“No-”

“Okay, let’s- let’s just run.”

As Sienna and Sadie walked around the hospital doing their rounds, their conversation had somehow turned to Sadie’s pregnancy.

“I just think you should still tell him about the baby because he should at least have the responsibility of having to pay,” Sienna told Sadie.

“No! Look, he will never know. It’s over. Once this pregnancy’s taken care of, Ethan won’t even be a blip on my radar. He’ll be a smudge,” Sadie responded.

“Right,” Sienna said, unconvinced.

Sadie grabbed Sienna’s arms, forcing her to face Sadie and told her, “Sienna, leave the sarcasm up to me. Really, it doesn’t suit you.”

Of course, of course, she’d be working with Ethan today. As if that had any chance of going well. But she couldn’t tell Ines or Zaid why, so she had no legitimate reason to fight them on it. Not that Zaid would listen either way, but she could totally swing Ines in her favor. Nevertheless, now she was with a patient with Ethan and she felt like shit. Not even just emotionally, she literally felt dizzy. Probably because she couldn’t keep any food down all morning, but no one, especially Ethan, needed to know that.

“Oakley?” Sadie heard Ethan ask, from the other side of the patient’s bed.
