I saw a post saying 'the only character we get with an unbiased view of Albus is his brother, Aberforth' ...What? How on EARTH can his opinion be unbiased??? He is the single most biased person in regards to Albus, their relationship with eachother is so rich and interesting - how on earth can he be 'the most unbiased view' they are BROTHERS

could you write a scenario based in your non-traditional headcanons? for example, one where y/n finds out about snape's bulimia and bouts of anorexia and helps him to deal with them and possibly recover from them?
Of course, my fuzzy little bat-ling! I hope to do it justice. Enjoy!
Trigger warning eating disorder. Seek medical attention if you suffer from one. I DO NOT CONDONE EATING DISORDERS. Reader discretion advised.
***********************
Severus sat at the head table for lunch. His stomach rumbled in hunger. When was the last time he had anything to eat? It's must have been a few days if he couldn't remember. Between teaching duties, Order duties, and DE duties there simply wasn't enough time to grudge up enough energy to eat. He would eat today, there was shepherd's pie with his name on it. Severus piled on his plate and ate until his belt protested. Once he wiped his mouth his noticed the hall had gone somewhat quiet. Oh no, had he been greedy and over ate again? Discreetly he eyes scanned the crowd. There were a few students, newcomers fixing their gaze on the head table, on him. Severus felt his anxiety rise. The familiar clawing at the back of his throat. Once lunch was over, Severus stalked to the bathroom as quickly as decorum would allow. Once inside he locks and wards the stall. Swallowing several times to keep the tell tale sign of pooling saliva away. It didn't work, his stomach cramped and rebelled until he was bent over the heaving everything in his belly. Tears moistened the corner of his eyes.
Y/N was on their way to drop a box of ordered ingredients that Albus had 'conveniently' forgotten to pick up and since they passed Severus on the way, it would ever be so appreciated if y/n dropped off the box to Severus. As they passed the bathrooms, they heard retching and coughing. Y/N hoped it wasn't a student "Hello, are you Ok in there? Do you need Mdme Pomphrey?" Y/N inquired but was met with silence. "Maybe pass by the kitchen later and ask for ginger tea. It will settle your tummy." Again silence net them. Y/N didn't want to intrude but hoped whoever it was that they felt better.
Severus in his haste forgot the silencing ward and panicked when Y/N called out. He sucked in a breath and held it unwilling to make a sound that would give away who in here. He grimaced at the suggestion of going to Poppy or the ginger tea. Once he heard their steps fade away he breathed. Casting a scourgify and a mouth refreshing charm, severus counted to 20 before leaving the bathroom and made way to the potions classroom.
Y/N had just sat down the box on the desk when Severus walked in. Y/N was surprised that Severus waited for them to set the box down. Normally, if he saw them he would grab the box before even making it inside his classroom. Y/N had a feeling of dread lodge in their gut. For the amount of time it took for him to follow behind them.......Severus.....it was Severus who had been retching in the bathroom. Knowing how much of a private person y/n didn't call him out on it but instead wished him a good day, though mentally swore to keep an eye on him.
The days went by and patterns began to unfold in y/n observations. They noticed how sunk in Severus cheeks had gotten, and the sallowness of his skin seemed nearly jaundiced like. Y/N was very concerned. They noticed how Severus would hide hands under the table after eating a meager helping, as if he longed for more but couldn't consume more. Y/N observed how almost every day around lunchtime, either he skipped or would run right afterward to the bathroom. From the way he excessively chewed each small bite, to how small he cut up his food, to how stringent his portion sizes were.
The perfect time struck, Severus unable to deal with the ramifications of Potter surviving Querlmort, didn't even make it to his usual place when he heaved in nausea. This is how Y/N found him. They held his hair back as his body rebelled and emptied itself. Once done Y/N conjured a cold wet wash cloth and ran over his face. Severus brain caught up and lashed out at Y/N only for them to forcefully pull him into their embrace. Severus broke down and cried. Y/N had searched on the topic of eating disorders and how to care for someone with the disorder.
Y/N ushered Severus into an unused classroom and warded it for safety. There they managed to coax Severus into releasing the weight on his shoulders. Severus suffered from severe depression and body dysmorphia. Y/N cried at how many times the adults in Severus's youth failed him. From the public sexual assault on school grounds to the revels, he was forced to participate as both the perpetrator and the entertainment. Letting himself go because it would discourage others from touching him. Y/N sat and listened, making no judgement.
Y/N swore an oath to Severus that they would never reveal anything to anyone unless his life hung in the balance. Y/N and Severus creating a alarm system for when he hit a manic low and the anorexia took over and for when a manic high pushed him to binge eat everything in sight. By the end of war Y/N had tethered Severus to them leading to his survival after too many close calls with anorexia. They had Severus move in with them and took care of Severus until he had consented to inpatient treatment with a mind healer. Y/N visited everyday and ALWAYS made sure that Severus was loved, cherished, supported, and had a home to return too.

NAH NAH NAH
Okay. Let's go through the thoughts of this latest update. There's a lot so buckle up buttercup.
1. Kravitas is literally so based. He's willing to spare Albus the suffering of long travel just because he's bored when typically he would enjoy Albus suffering.
2. Only Albus would risk insanity to spite a demon. Ever heard of cutting off your nose to spite your face, Albus? Seriously, these dude shot himself out of a fucking canon to stop Devlin from touching this hella cursed sword, but in typical Albus fashion when it's his safety and emotional welfare at stake common sense flies out the gods be damned window.
4. Is Kravitas really a demon or was his statement last episode about being more than that the truth that Albus just chose to call bullshit on?
5. Kerano, sweetie, if you don't like the sweater you don't gotta be nice to me and lie. Tis okay
6. Dad is back with his video of a casual demon attack. A normal Thursday. You'd think violence could slow enough for Faithful to get some groceries but I guess not.
7. AN ADULT TALK? EXCUSE ME? also yes now shoo child.
8. Guess I'll just go in a bunker and braid some hair or some shit. Whatever.
9. Don't you love it when the father figure of your child is so obsessed with transformers that he turns into a robot? (Yes I know he didn't turn into a robot. It just sounded kind of robotic in my head and it was funny.
10. What's the song called? It was kind of a vibe.
11. Oh my God we're raising a menace, thief, AND a liar. Where did we go wrong? 😭 Also can Faithful read minds? She was able to hear Kerano's mind about a key or something before Kerano had it, and was able to read the thoughts after that.
12. Move aside, Faithful is coming through like a badass. Hold the child
13. Oh neat. Both Albus and I have yelling voices in our head. 🥲
14. "I AM THE GREATEST GOOD YOURE EVER GONNA GET" - Faithful 2023
15. IS HE CUTTING OFF HIS HAND?! KERANO LOOK AWAY
16. Are... Are you seriously gonna make me choose between my two husbands right now? WHERES MY POLY OPTION? (Albus and Devlin in strictly familial relationship with each other. No condoning incest here)
-Branch-
Albus Route:
- yeah u tell him Devlin! How dare he try to reject us after saying it was our choice. Bitch
- UH I UH UHM ER
- daddy? Sorry. Daddy? Sorry. Daddy? Sorry
- HOW MANY ROUNDS? Albus let her BREATHE before you fuck her to death omg
- I thought we became a bio mom to half demon children. But nah turns out we became a slutty saint
- YOOOO another thing in common with Albus! We both don't like kids. For different reasons but the point still remains
- Awww. He misses Devlin.
- Kerano is wholesome but I ain't forgiving her for snatching that key
- wait does anyone remember when he said he wouldnt tap faithful with a ten foot pole? Does that mean he tapped her with an eleven foot pole to stay true to his word?
- Devlin Route -
- that's what your brother said to me in an alternate reality when I chose him too.
- Albus back with the orgies. My angsty brain McThinks it's some copium since that's his whole "nothing hurts me!" Mask
- "HES A ROCKIN SPACE AGE BACHELOR MAN" I hope he gets his dream of being a monsterfucker
- Faithful got that holy rizz sheeeeeeesh
- astrology 🥰
- wait nevermind. Just some brotherly love
- you can call me darling any day of the week baby. I am living for it.
- Awww starry kiss. 🥹
Update: I keep forgetting there's a high chance that GBA will see this... BUT YOU KNOW WHAT?! I STAND BY WHAT I SAID (/lh) 😤😤😤
Update #2: for those asking about the third route thoughts, that's a secret that I'm saving for a fic.

Tom Riddle x Oc
Alice had known Tom from the very beginning, she had been with Dumbledore the day he had went to visit Tom at the orphanage. She was thoroughly intrigued by him, despite what Mrs. Cole had said about him being different.
She didn't believe being different was necessarily a bad thing as most did. It made one unique and stand out in most cases.
And stand out Tom did, to her. She vividly remembers their first conversation..
Flashback;
" I can speak to snakes, is that normal for people like me? "
Tom had said as Alice and Albus had started to leave his room. Which caused little Alice's head to pop back around the door frame, curiously asking;
" You can speak to snakes? What do they tell you? "
" They tell me ... things. "
" Nice things? "
" No, not really.. - "
" Oh, well then maybe tell them a story next time. That helps me when I'm cranky. "
Alice beamed at him with pure innocent as she fully stepped back in front of the boy.
" But don't think of it as strange. The flowers often sing to me afterall. "
" Flowers singing? "
" It's quite delightful really. "
" Come now Alice. We must be going now Tom, we look forward to seeing you again soon. "
Dumbledore intervened as he lightly directed Alice out of the room. But not before she could offer the boy a bright smile and enthusiastic wave goodbye.
End flashback;
Soon after that day, Tom and Alice became inseparable. Growing a bond not all could understand, though many grew grateful for as Alice had often saved others from Tom's wrath on many occasions.
To those on the outside looking in, it seemed Tom worshiped Alice. Often bending to her will with a bat of her lashes. If she wanted, needed anything he'd make it happen without her even needing to ask him.
Though as endearing as it may seem, it wasn't as innocent as it came off. Alice was Tom's first and only true friend. Someone who never judged him for his differences, just genuinely accepted and cared for him as he was. She never feared him, only learned over the years how to calm the raging pits of anger he could never quite tame himself.
Which lead to Tom becoming wholey obsessed with Alice.
But she never seemed to notice his unhealthy obsession, just seen it as Tom caring for her. Tom was her best friend afterall, weren't all best friends supposed to care for one another?
Year five soon came around, both Alice and Tom had been made perfects in their houses. Alice a Ravenclaw, Tom a Slytherin.
On this particular night of perfect duties they had been paired to roam the halls after curfew. Which in itself wasn't uncommon. But what was uncommon for the duo was Alice completely losing her temper on a Hufflepuff six year boy. Who'd they just caught slogging a fourth year Slytherin in a broom closet.
" 50 points from Hufflepuff!! And if you don't get out of my sight right now Robert so help me I'll break your nose! "
Alice rarely ever lost her temper, Tom had only witnessed it a handful of times over their years spent together. And the way she threatened the boy, wand drawn and seething, he took it onto himself to dismiss the Slytherin girl before Alice could turn on her. Knowing Alice would deduct points from her as well and well, that was Tom's house.
" And YOU! - where did she go??"
" I took care of her, now calm yourself, Ali. You look crazed. "
He gestured to her robes that slid off her shoulders and now hung loosely on her elbows.
" Because I am Tom! Robert has lead Isabella on for months knowing she fancies him, I've listened to hours of her speak so highly of him just to find him snogging someone else?! "
Isabella Nott was Alice's other best friend, right under Tom. She had met her back in first year on the train ride to Hogwarts.
" And now I'm going to have to tell her and break her heart! "
Alice huffed, crossing her arms over her chest, scowling at the boy who stood before her.
" You should have let me give her a piece of my mind. "
Tom held her gaze for a moment before his lips twitched into a small smirk, shaking his head lightly at the girl. She reminded him of a mama dragon, fiercely protective of those dear to her.
After a moment of silence Tom had offered her his hand, holding it out flat in front of her with a expecting look on his face.
Alice's face drew up in confusion for a second before realizing what he was doing. A soft sigh left her lips as she slipped her hand into his and he drew her in, placing his other palm onto her waist and hers on his chest, they began to sway. She couldn't help the soft smile that pulled onto her lips.
This was a method Alice always used on Tom when she would notice he was angry or upset. She used dancing as a way to distract his thoughts and direct them into a more positive place.
At first he detested the fact she would make him dance with her, told her it was pointless, stupid and embarrassing. As she would make him stop wherever they were or whatever they were doing to take a moment and just dance with her to
the beat of an invisible rhythm. But after time and time again, he came to complain less and less.
And now here they were, roles reversed, him initiating the dance to calm her thoughts.
Swaying comfortably in the dark hallway at half pass midnight to a song that only exists in their own heads.
" Feeling any better? "
" A little. "
She mumbled softly, resting her chin on his chest and her forehead under his chin.
" Good. "
And on that note he placed a soft kiss to her forehead as they slowed from their dance, yet didn't pull away. Finally she looked up to him fully, their gazes meeting.
" Why do you do that? "
Her voice was as soft as a whisper, only meant for the two of them to hear. The forehead kisses were a habit Tom had picked up in year four. It had started randomly and now everytime they danced, before the dance ended he'd press a soft butterfly kiss to the top of her forehead.
Not that she was complaining, of course. She quite enjoyed his little display of affection as he didn't display it often, even with her.
" Because I can never see your lips the way you bury yourself into my chest. "
" Oh - "
Her eyes slightly widened and a rosie blush now danced over the bridge of her nose.
" But I can see them now... "
He hesitated slightly, his hand now caressing her cheek as his thumb brushed over her bottom lip.
" I- Indeed. "
A soft chuckle left him as his eyes flickered between hers and her lips. Slowly he leaned in and finally he let his urges he'd been battling with for a year now, win.
His lips molded together with hers.

"Consider yourself at home! Consider yourself one of the family! We've taken to you so strong, It's clear we're going to get along!"
~"Consider Yourself" from Oliver!
x~x~x~x
Behold! Here I issue a prompt to fellow HPHM players -- write a post featuring at least one (1) letter either received or sent by Molly Weasley about your MC, whether one sent by or to Bill, Charlie, Percy, or another one of her kids! If you accept this challenge, please consider tagging me so I and others can learn a bit more about your kid's relationship with our favorite ginger family! ❤️💛🩵💚
x~x~x~x
Molly Weasley was a very doting mother. Although it was understandably quite difficult to pay all seven of her children equal amounts of attention, that didn't mean she didn't try very hard to be active in all of their lives or that she didn't insist that her kids who were away at Hogwarts write to her frequently. The child who was best at keeping in touch with Molly was her oldest, Bill, but after Charlie started attending school, he wrote home relatively frequently too, thanks in large part to Bill reminding him to do so.
One of Charlie's longest letters that first year ended up being one Molly kept long after the fact. At first the Weasley matriarch kept it solely for her own reference, in case she needed to write a stern letter to Albus Dumbledore herself, but she later kept it as a memento of the very first time she ever heard the name of the girl who would become her two oldest sons' closest friend.
Mum -- You'll never BELIEVE what happened at school today! I'm just about to breathe fire about it, I'm so angry!! Okay, so you remember Ben Copper, right? He's my Muggle-born dormmate, the one who's afraid of everything. Well, lately he's been getting bullied really bad by this one girl in Slytherin named Merula Snyde. I reckon she was just being nasty because the winter holidays are coming up and all of her usual bullying targets will be going home soon, but she decided to go out of her way to corner Ben in the Courtyard today, yelling all sorts of rotten stuff at him at the top of her lungs and just refusing to let him walk away. Ben told Jae, Corey, and me afterwards a bit more of what was said, since I didn't hear all of it, but Merula said Ben didn't belong here at school with "real" wizards and called him a loser and a scaredy cat who didn't belong in Gryffindor because all he does is run away! She even called him a Mudblood, Mum! Multiple times! Fortunately right around the time Jae and I showed up, someone decided to put a stop to it. Her name's Carewyn Cromwell -- she's another Slytherin in my year, but a much nicer one than Merula. (She's Jacob Cromwell's sister, do you remember him? Bill said you and Dad read about him in the Prophet a while back, right after he disappeared.) Anyhow, Carewyn went right up to Merula and told her to leave Ben alone, and when Merula used the Knockback Jinx on Ben, Carewyn helped him up and then laid Merula out right good, saying that she was the real "loser," not Ben, and calling her a pathetic, mean-spirited bully. That really made Merula mad -- I've never seen her face so purple! So Merula tried to pick a fight with Carewyn, and Carewyn tried to just walk away with Ben, only for Merula to attack Carewyn from behind! She knocked her down face-first into the ground, with no warning! It was just dirty, Mum! But Carewyn, she was so cool, she just took some Wiggenweld Potion out of her sweater, drank enough to heal herself, and then chucked the bottle right at Merula's head like she was at the Dueling Club! (It missed, but it still gave Merula a good scare!) Then when Merula tried to attack her again, Carewyn dodged her spell and took her out with a single Disarming Charm! It was so cool! Oh, but here's what made me mad, Mum -- afterward, Professor Snape took FIFTY POINTS away from both Carewyn and Merula for "causing a scene" and said that he'd send them both along to Dumbledore for further punishment! Yeah! When it was OBVIOUSLY all Merula's doing and Carewyn was only defending herself and Ben! I checked on Ben afterward, and he looked close to tears. He's terrified that Carewyn's going to be expelled, all because she was trying to protect him. I told him no way Dumbledore would do that, but Snape was so furious, I wouldn't put it past him to lie through his ugly yellow teeth about the whole thing and get Carewyn expelled anyway! I know that's what he really wants -- everyone knows Snape hates Carewyn because of what her brother did, even though she honestly seems like a pretty cool person and a really good friend! Dumbledore won't be back until tomorrow, but I'm going to go up to his office as soon as he's back and tell him all about what happened -- there's no way he can expel Carewyn for what she did! She was brave and in the right, and she should've won points for standing up for Ben, instead of losing any! She would've, if she'd been in Gryffindor! It's not fair!! I'll write again after talking to Dumbledore...he'd better not listen to a word Snape says!! Love to you, Dad, and PFGRG -- Charlie
Fortunately Carewyn was not punished further, so Molly never had to send that additional letter to Dumbledore she'd been considering. She ended up revisiting this old letter of Charlie's again, though, when that following winter, Bill sent her another letter.
Dear Mum, The holidays are finally here! Hagrid brought in the Christmas tree yesterday, and now Flitwick is setting about trimming it with magical icicles. Still not as great as our tree at home, though -- I can't wait to get home and help you and Dad decorate it... Charlie and I are doing fine. Charlie's been kept busy with Quidditch practice; I would've thought with him only just having joined the team, the captain might take it a little easier on him -- you know, give him time to get settled and learn the ropes -- but I guess the Quidditch scene is really fast-paced. Charlie even said that they can't afford to coddle him too much, since Gryffindor's next match will be immediately after winter break. As for me, I'm keeping my grades up and earning house points as best I can. Madame Pince gave me ten points the other day for helping some first-years with their Transfiguration homework in the library, and later in the week, McGonagall gave me ten more for it herself! Do you remember Carewyn Cromwell? She's Jacob Cromwell's sister, and a Slytherin in Charlie's year. She came up to talk to me the other day on the Training Grounds and asked me for help with the Fire-Making Spell. She seems like a pretty nice girl! I'm really glad she seems okay after what happened to her brother, but I can tell she really misses him -- I kind of thought she'd have to, when I first heard about it, but I'm glad she doesn't seem to resent him at all. She says that she and Jacob were really close -- apparently it was only ever just them and their mum, since Carewyn's dad left when she was really little -- so I can't imagine Jacob would've left his family on purpose. I really hope Carewyn's able to find out what happened to him. And I hope at some point I'll get to introduce her to you and Dad too! Carewyn grew up largely in the Muggle World since her dad was a Muggle, so she knows a lot about Muggle stuff -- she was telling me about some of her favorite Muggle musicians the other day, and she suggested that you might like a Muggle named Barbra Streisand, since you like Celestina Warbeck. She also said that if Dad's interested in learning more about Muggles, she could put him in touch with her mum -- she's a Magical Historian, but she's also pretty good with Muggle history too. Oh yeah, I almost forgot -- Carewyn's mad good at dueling. I challenged her to a friendly one, just to help gauge her level and maybe give her some pointers, and she not only dodged all my spells, but took me out with a Disarming Charm so strong she knocked me right off my feet! Sure, maybe I was a little worried about going too hard on her, but I was NOT expecting that! It's a good thing that we get on -- I would not like to be on the wrong side of her! I love you all so much! Give Ron and Ginny extra big hugs for me. Charlie and I will touch base again before we set off for home next week. See you soon! Bill
Molly would soon read quite a few more letters from both Bill and Charlie that mentioned Carewyn (or "Carey," as they soon took to calling her). Once Charlie started his third year, he became closer friends with Carewyn through Quidditch friendlies, so he often brought Carewyn up whenever he wrote anything about Hogwarts's Quidditch Cup.
Oh yeah, I almost forgot -- Carey's hoping to go out for the Slytherin team! One of Slytherin's Chasers got knocked off her broom by Erika Rath during a not-so-friendly friendly match against Ravenclaw's team, and she's so bad-off she probably won't be healed in time for the match against Hufflepuff, so Carey reached out to Slytherin's Star Chaser Skye Parkin, and now Parkin's helping her train for an upcoming tryout! I don't think Carey's as excited about a Parkin training her as I would be, but she said she's grateful for her help. She said she prefers training with me and Andre, though, since we don't make her try to mount any jinxed brooms!!
Meanwhile Bill's letters would express much more concern for Carewyn's emotional well-being, not unlike how he wrote about Charlie.
The Slytherin VS Hufflepuff Quidditch match is set for Friday. I've been worried about Carey -- there's a rumor going around school that she had a meltdown after one of Slytherin's practices, which is very out of character for her. Carey's much more the type to try to put on a brave face and not let anyone see she's scared or hurting. Even so, Carey has been very quiet this entire week...even if she says she's fine, I can tell something's bothering her. I've been trying to walk with her in the halls more, to keep any more obnoxious Hufflepuffs off her back.
Charlie and Bill's letters' subject matter and tone overlapped in December 1986. When Carewyn's mother, Lane Cromwell, was forced to spend the winter holidays abroad away from her daughter, both Weasley boys were beside themselves.
Speaking of Carey, Mum, you won't believe this -- Carey's mum is stuck out of the country on this trip for the Ministry, doing research on house elf history, and now Carey's going to have to stay stuck at school for the holidays! She's trying to act like she's not upset about it, but I don't see how she can't be! Carey loves Christmas! She's been singing carols all season...
It's the most outrageous thing, Mum. I know the Ministry of Magic's assignment is important, and I know it's an important opportunity for Carey's mother...but Carey's family isn't big like ours. Carey told me as far back as she can remember, it was always just her, Jacob, and her mum, even before her dad left. With Jacob missing, her mum is all Carey has. I know they're close, and I know being apart from her mother is hard for her -- from what Rowan's told me, Carey's mum has so much difficulty being around people that Carey and Jacob used to stay at home with her rather than try to make any friends when they were kids, just to keep her company. To be apart from her mum during Christmas, of all times...I know it has to be just eating Carey up inside, Mum. Even Merula (who I still think is upset about spending the holidays alone) is doing better because I doubt she's expecting any kind of special gathering for Christmas. Knowing Carey, she's probably been silently looking forward to spending Christmas with her mother all year. And now she's left silently mourning the fact that she won't.
Molly herself even ended up expressing quite a bit of upset in her own letters back to Charlie and Bill --
What a poor, sweet girl! You're absolutely right, Charlie, she most certainly can't be okay, under such circumstances! You tell your brother to find a way to bring her on back here to the Burrow, if he can...
Bill -- bring Carewyn back to the Burrow with you. Your father and I want her here with us. Merula Snyde too, if you can -- the poor thing shouldn't have to spend a holiday alone either.
That Christmas ended up being when Molly and Arthur first met Carewyn, and they both liked her at once. Not only did Carewyn get on very well with Bill and Charlie, but she was a very polite guest who readily volunteered to help with chores and had a faint "Mama Bear" quality that could remind anyone a bit of Molly. Arthur couldn't help but tease his wife just a little about it. @department-shoe-stud
"Red hair, short stature, mothering...Molly dear, did we have another daughter and I just never noticed?"
Not that Molly would've minded. That Christmas pretty much solidified her thought process that Carewyn would make a perfect Weasley, if either Bill or Charlie ever decided to pursue her romantically. (They never did.)
One thing Bill conveniently neglected to tell Molly about was how Carewyn and he had become friends largely because they'd teamed up to deal with the Cursed Vaults. Bill did acknowledge the curses unleashed on the school by the Cursed Vaults now and again in his letters home, since he knew Charlie had already written to their parents about them beforehand, but he didn't tell Molly that Carewyn and he had broken the curses on the Ice, Fear, and Forest Vaults with help from some of Carewyn's other friends. And Bill's reasoning proved to be rather sound, because as it turned out, when Molly eventually found out the summer before his seventh year, she was not happy. It was just about the only time Bill's siblings could remember Molly ever having shouted at him.
"William...Arthur...Weasley...have you gone COMPLETELY 'round the bend?! Abusing your Prefect powers -- sneaking into forbidden areas of the school -- aggravating curses that the professors themselves have struggled to get a hold of -- and all while dragging both Carewyn and Charlie along after you, when they haven't even PASSED THEIR OWLS YET?! You are grounded for the rest of the summer for a START, William Weasley, AND IF YOU OR CAREWYN EVEN THINK OF GOING AFTER ANOTHER CURSED VAULT, I'LL GROUND YOU EVEN AFTER YOUR GRADUATION!"
Bill didn't listen to his mother. But in his defense, Carewyn was going to do anything if it meant saving her brother Jacob, and there was no way Bill was going to let her run into that kind of danger alone. And neither was Charlie, when he ended up in the position to help found the Circle of Khanna with Carewyn, Bill, Merula, and Ben to avenge the death of their fallen friend, Rowan Khanna.
Fortunately, after the Cursed Vaults were dealt with and R was defeated, Molly slowly cooled off about the whole affair. However displeased she was that her sons had engaged in something so dangerous, she was ultimately very proud of how brave they both had been. That doesn't mean Molly wasn't still a bit sad neither of them pursued Ministry work like Carewyn did. If nothing else, if Charlie was at the Ministry too, maybe he would have more of a chance to spend "alone time" with Carewyn and something more romantic could bloom! Or so Molly thought. This is why she was incredibly surprised when after the Second Wizarding War, Bill sent along this letter --
In other news, Carey has actually started dating! I'm surprised too. His name is Orion Amari -- I'm sure Fred, George, Ron, and Ginny have heard of him, since he's a Chaser for the Montrose Magpies, but he was Captain of the Slytherin Quidditch team in those two matches Carey played in, back at school. I don't remember him that well aside from that, but I followed up with some old friends from school who remember him and they've all spoken well of him. I also broached the topic with Carey, and even though she was understated as always, she really wants me to meet him. I think she really likes him a lot.
To say Molly wasn't disappointed to learn Carewyn would not be marrying Charlie would be untrue. When Molly met Orion herself at the after-party for his and Carewyn's partnership ceremony, however, she had to admit, Carewyn looked so very happy in Orion's company. And well, being the OG Mama Bear, that's all Molly Weasley could really want for Bill and Charlie's best friend.
She did add a very pointed little postscript to a letter she sent along to Carewyn's mother Lane in December, though.
P.S. Thank you for the advice about Muggle dragon books. I may be eternally disappointed that Charlie never took the plunge with your dear Carewyn, but Arthur and I still want to get him a birthday gift nobody else would think of getting him.

Tbh Albus Dumbledore is such a banger of a character. Imagine writing the usual, venerable white-bearded wizard archetype, and then dropping the Deathly Hallows.
For most of the story, Dumbledore fits the Wise Old Man trope: an elderly, kindly father figure, a sage whose role is to impart his great wisdom on the younger generation, before dying so as to allow the hero to grow on their own. He's got this air of mystery and mysticism about him, but that's just par for the course.
Then you get to the last book and it's like a deconstruction of that trope. Imagine the hero suddenly going "actually why was he speaking like that and being dramatic all the time. Why didn't he just tell me things. Who did he think he was anyway. Oh he thought he was soooo clever. Fuck that guy" and if I say Aberforth's perspective was one of the best piece of writing from that book then what?
Like yeah he's trash but at the same time Rowling didn't just pull a "haha he was actually the big villain the whole time >:)" because Albus was still one of the good guys, but actually villain!Albus is so big-brained, but he's more interesting as a good guy after all, and I don't even think Rowling ever fully realised the banger character she came up with.
Mind you I will absolutely reblog Dumbledore slander whenever I see it. He's my favourite character. I hate him so much.
There are so many different readings for him and tbh it makes him a way more compelling character than Snape (i say this because snape is usually regarded as the ultimate example of nuanced writing in Harry Potter, considering the story is otherwise pretty black-and-white. And yeah, the characters usually aren't all that great, which is why it baffles me how Rowling came up with Dumbledore. like what was she on that day.) I don't care for Snape's backstory at all, I don't like it, but the Albus lore?? It's so good bro.
My only criticism is that Grindelwald should really have been mentioned more in the books, because the last time he'd been mentioned before HP7 was in freaking HP1, on a random Chocolate Frog card. If Grindelwald was such an major figure in wizarding history and lore, there should've been more references to him, if only to remind us that he exists. Dumbledore having been friends with him should've been a big twist, but I didn't care because I barely remembered who he was and I don't think the story made a good enough job of explaining exactly what that means. Imagine if it was revealed that McGonagall and Voldemort had been friends when they were students together, and she'd been helping him! the implications of a twist like that would be obvious for any reader. But Grindelwald? I was confusing him for Gregorovitch half the time lol, but I was an inattentive kid so that's also my fault

Chapter 2
Tumblr media
As i step onto Hogwarts grounds I'm greeted by a giant man who's smiling down at me
"Hello! you must be the new student Alexis is it, Dumbledore told me all about you I'm Hagrid the groundskeeper" I smile up at him
"Hello Hagrid its nice to meet you"
"Well I hate to cut this short but we have a ceremony to get to" I look at him in question
"A ceremony?" he looks at me confused
"Well yes Dumbledore didn't tell you?"
"No sir" I say
"Oh that's ok every year there's a sorting ceremony for the first years to see what house you get into theres Gryffindor, Slytherin, Ravenclaw, and Hufflepuff sense your not technically a first year well have a private sorting ceremony for you in Dumbledores office, if you'll follow me well go there now"
"Oh ok lead the way" I say following Hagrid into Hogwarts as we go through I take in this magnificent looking place I'm in it feels surreal, we stop outside a giant bird statue Hagrid looks at the statue and whispers something into it suddenly it opens up into stairs I follow Hagrid to a door when he opens it I look in to see what appears to be headmaster Dumbledore, two sweet older looking ladys, a dwarf, and a brooding looking long black haired guy
"Hello there headmaster me and Alexis are here" he says to the older looking man
"Ah well hello Alexis I'm Albus Dumbledore headmaster of Hogwarts school of witch craft and wizardry I'm pleased to welcome you to our school" he reaches out to shake my hand
"Hello its nice to meet you headmaster" I shake his hand back with a smile
"you as well dear, id like to introduce you to the heads of the houses first is Minerva Mcgonagall head of Gryffindor house"
"Hello dear its nice to meet you if you ever have any questions I'm here" she says with a smile I smile back at her and say thank you
"Next Filius Flitwick head of Ravenclaw house" a small man comes towards me and shakes my hand and smiles
"then there's Pomona Sprout head of Hufflepuff house" a shorter stubby woman comes over and greets me warmly I smile and shake her hand
"Finally there's Severus Snape head of Slytherin house" I look towards the dark haired man in the corner he just stares at me in question and something else I can't quite identify
"Well now that your all introduced its time for the sorting ceremony please take a seat on this chair" and so I do sitting down I feel something being placed on my head suddenly it begins to talk startling me
"Well well what do we have here a Thornefield I remember your parents brave Gryffindors but is that were you belong" I don't know where I belong I think to myself
"Well I think I don't ether outspoken, brave, and adventurous, but also Mischievous, conniving, and loyal beyond reason where to put you Slytherin perhaps but Gryffindor also calls to you hm"
"Ill say it better be GRYFFINDOR" the hat gets taken off of me as Dumbledore and Mcgonagall smile
"Well that sorts it I'm honored to have you apart of Gryffindor Alexis" Mcgonagall says with a bright smile I smile back there something about here that's comforting
"Well thank you I'm proud to be apart of it" I look over at Professor Snape I catch him staring at me before he sees I'm looking and looks away rolling his eyes, well he seems nice glad I'm not in his house
"The first year ceremony is about to begin Mcgonagall will bring you to the dinning hall and once again welcome to Hogwarts" I smile at him and follow Mcgonagall out the door as we head to the dinning room I think this place is so big that ill definitely get lost sometime, as we head into the dinning room I see four tables
"Gryffindor sits over there dear go and join them" I head over to the table when I see Fred and George and start smiling
"Hey guys! guess who's in Gryffindor"they turn around smiling
"I knew it!" Fred says and looks at George who gives him 5 gallons
"ah whatever ill win the next bet" I roll my eyes laughing
"You guys really bet on me" they both look at me guiltily
"Sorry" they say in unison before we all start laughing
I sit down starting to feel like I really belong here, Dumbledore starts his speech and suddenly I feel like there eyes on me I look over to the right of the table and see professor Snape starring at me what a weird guy an attractive guy but a weird one, wait did I just think my professors attractive I mean its probably just a harmless school girl crush nothing big yeah nothing big, the cheering after Dumbledores speech breaks me out of my trance I start clapping still feeling eyes on me I ignore it and start to eat dinner.

"Don't you dare try and use Ariana against me!" Albus snarled at him instantly, shaking with rage that Gellert would stoop that low. Argue with him, call him everything under the sun, tell him what a disappointment he was, fine. "She died because of the choices we made that night Gellert! She isn't a pawn to be used against me or in your vile war against the magical and non magical! Don't!" Albus' fingers itched to reach for his wand but he closed his eyes for a moment to get himself under control. He was the one that was to blame for Arianas death. They'd all made choices that night, drawing their wands and throwing about spells without much care. But ultimately the blame rested at his own feet. He had been tasked with caring for Ariana. He had let her down. He had let his parents down. It was a transgression he knew there could never be any forgiveness for. He didn't deserve forgiveness. It was a mistake that would haunt him until he drew his last breath and beyond, if there was something further like his parents believed. "Ariana suffered at the hands of three Muggles boys. They died for what they did to her." His father had made sure of that, right before he had been dragged off to Azkaban. Once he had found him sense of satisfaction in their deaths but that time had long past. "The rest of the non magicals are not guilty of those crimes by proxy! There are good Muggles, Gellert! Just as there are bad Wizards and Witches. We cannot tar everyone with the same brush because of our own prejudices." He had met so many good Muggle parents, who loved their children - magical or otherwise. They accepted the magical world, even when they'd never realised it was there until the Hogwarts letters arrived. "Oh, you don't want them all dead?" Albus heard the sarcasm almost dripping from his words. "How incredibly benevolent of you, Herr Grindelwald. Whatever did they do for you to show them such mercy, that you'd allow them to live!" Albus glared at Gellert. This was never the movement they had once planned. They had known there would be causalities. It was impossible for a revolution to succeed without blood shed. But they'd agreed to keep it to a minimal, only when it was truly necessary. They'd never spoken about annihilating Muggles and the thought made Albus' stomach churn. Why did you never try to come to me? What an incredibly loaded and heavy question. How easy it should be to ignore it, refuse it an answer and yet Albus knew it was a fair question to ask. "Over the eighteen months that I remained in the Hollow, I realised that you didn't want to be found. At least not by me. You'd always known there I was. I'd never left the very place you left me." Albus heard the bitterness in his own words. "If you had wanted to see me, write to me, you had every opportunity to do so." Albus remembered sobbing into Fawkes feathers the night he had fully realised that Gellert hadn't wanted him. Perhaps he had never really wanted him. Should it be so easy to leave someone you claimed to love? "I wasn't going to chase you when you clearly didn't want me to. Even I had some dignity left. Your actions made it clear that you no longer wanted me and I realised that I needed to let you go, just as you had done with me." It wasn't an accusation, it was simply how things were. Picking up the pieces of his existence and trying to piece it together into some semblance of a life had been the most difficult thing he had ever done. "If you had loved me once, then it was clear that you loved me no longer once you left the Hollow without looking back. I didn't want to hear you say those words, not then and not now. I didn't want you to send me away. We both needed to move on once you'd made the decision for us both and so I abided by your wishes."
Albus wasn't entirely sure what had led him to Père Lachaise so late into the evening, flowers in hand. He had felt the need to visit after the events that had unfolded here only days earlier. Leta was dead. Newt and Theseus were grieving. So many had fallen to Gellerts side within days. Queenie. Credence. He felt guilt grip his soul, feeling that he was responsible for the losses. He should have anticipated Gellerts moves. He never should have let them fall into Gellerts trap and yet, he had. There was still hope for Queenie and Credence. They could still get them back. But Leta was lost forever. As if that weren't bad enough, Newt had so proudly retrieved something he hadn't wanted. The blood troth. He had almost been surprised to discover that Gellert still had the pendant and why was he wearing it, to one of his rallys no less? If anything, he would have assumed the thing had ended up at the bottom of an ocean or it might have been well protected with more charms and spells, ensuring it could never fall into the 'wrong' hands. Yet now the thing laid heavy around his neck. Albus didn't know what he planned to do with it yet, despite assuring Newt that he would try and break it. He knew that he should want to break their promises to one another but he didn't. He placed the flowers at the tomb gently, a heavy sigh coming from him. Leta wasn't here. There had been nothing for them to bury, although he knew the Scamanders were preparing a memorial service for her. He would attend, naturally. Leta had been one of his favourite students, even though she had never believed that. She had still confirmed as much during their last and final meeting. He closed his eyes, cursing himself and wondering why he hadn't done more. He paused when he felt a presence within the tomb. His fingers itched to reach for his wand but he didn't. He knew exactly who it was without even needing to turn around. "I'm not in the mood to fight, if that's what you were hoping for." He was confident that Gellert hadn't followed him here although he wasn't sure them meeting could have been entirely a coincidence either. @nurmengard-master

A New Normal - Theseus x Reader
A/N: Enjoy! Let me know if you have any requests for any characters :)
Word Count: 751
Warnings: None (?), really fluffy and cute <3
Tumblr media
Candles floated above your head as you sat in one of the long benches in the Great Hall, a small smile spread on your lips as you watched Jacob explain his wand to the students that surrounded him.
Lally tapped her foot anxiously as the three of you waited for Newt and Theseus. But Albus refused to start the meeting without them. You couldn't help but remind him that time was ticking. The longer you waited, the closer Grindlewald came to suceeding in his plan to rule over the world. As much as you hated to think about it, there was a chance that the Scamander brothers weren't coming back.
But the doors swung open just in time, revealing Newt cradling Teddy in his arms and Theseus with a look of shock spread across his face.
You jumped up from the table, breaking out into a run to meet them. You threw your arms around the brothers, pulling them into a tight embrace.
Growing up with the two of them, you had grown to view them as family. Being only four years younger than Theseus and four years older than Newt, you always had one of the brothers with you at Hogwarts.
Newt akwardly pat you on the back with his free hand, while Teddy swiped at your necklace in an effort to get it from your neck. Theseus leaned into the hug, burying his head into the crook of your shoulder. He was always a hugger.
As you pulled away, Theseus' hand lingered on your back. Newt had already sped away towards Jacob and Lally, eager to hear how the dinner went.
"Theseus…" You trailed off, leaning into him as you walked over to join, whispering, "Make me a promise."
He exhaled, and you continued, "Promise me you'll never go head to head with a group of Grindlewald's followers alone again?"
Theseus gave your hand a light squeeze in response, "I'll try."
Smiling up at him, you waited for Dumbledore to decide your future.
You sat between Theseus and Newt at dinner, twirling your… questionably looking soup with your spoon. Wrinkling your nose, you forced a smile on your face, "Thank you, Aberforth."
He grumbled in response, lifting a glass of butterbeer to his lips and downing it in one gulp.
Bunty gazed at Newt, infatuated, but he only stared at the photo of Tina pinned to the top of his case.
Turning towards Theseus, you sighed, "This is the most normal things have been in months."
He nodded, "It seems crazy to call this normal."
"Do you remember, when we were at Hogwarts, and I set my cauldron on fire?" You asked, and he chuckled in response, nodding.
"I remember." He said, pulling his suit sleeves down, "You caught my robes on fire, too."
You whipped your head around to face him, "I did not! That was entirely your doing."
"I didn't exactly expect for you to blow up your cauldren, Y/N." He teased, "Too much wormwood."
Playfully rolling your eyes, you sighed, shoving your bowl to the side, to which he said, "Not hungry?"
You nodded to his bowl, which was still filled to the brim with soup, "Are you?"
"Fair enough."
It was silent for a moment. Newt was speaking with Dumbledore upstairs, Bunty was tending to the Qilin, Lally was trying to talk to Aberforth, who was beyond distracted and looking intensely into a mirror.
"Theseus?"
He hummed in response, and you continued, "If we don't make it in time, and Grindlewald succeeds, what's going to happen to us?"
"I haven't really thought about it. Everything's been happening so fast, I haven't really had time." Theseus brushes a stray curl out of his eyes, "But I'd like to think that Grindlewald won't succeed. I don't think I could take another night in Erkstag."
"Don't want to see your old Manticore friend again?" You joked, "You two have quite fond memories of one another."
"I've got a feeling he won't be too happy to see me, considering I took an arm with me."
"Oh, he'll be fine." You smiled, leaning your head on his shoulder, pausing for a moment, "I don't want this night to end, Thes."
Theseus placed his head atop yours, "Me neither, but it has to. Everything has to end at some point."
You stayed silent, and he added, "But I like this kind of normal."
A small, knowing smile appeared on the both of your faces. You could get used to this.

Back on Grindeldore and Tom being a Menace.
Voldemort is back from his new travels and has requested a job talk to Hogwarts (for the third time).
But this time, he travelled to Austria too.
Albus: ... Let's skip the pretense, shall we? What do you want, again, Tom?
LV: direct, I like it. I've deeply thought about our last chat. And so I've done like you suggested.
Albus: meaning?
LV: love, the grand force of love. I went and lengthy researched on it. And my, the things I've discovered.
Albus: i don't have time for your games, Tom.
LV: i went to Austria, Dumbledore. Oh, yes, do you start to understand, now? Austrian winter is very harsh, Nurmengard is not so hospitable. Poor Gellert Grindelwald was so very weak...
Albus: what did you do to him?
LV: oh, now you want to know? Weren't you worried about his disappearance? It was so very easy to break him out...
Albus: TOM!
LV: .... And break him was as much as easy.
Albus: where is he?! Where is he, Tom?!
LV: touching. Do you still care? Amazing. He was convinced you didn't, you see. Oh at the start he screamed your name like you were going to come and save him in any moments. But soon he remembered you hated him, you had rejected him, and then... He just stopped fighting.
Albus: *starts raising*
LV: stay down, Dumbledore, or it will be a real duel. Do you want to gamble your chances?
Albus: *sits down*
LV: here, not so hard, following my orders, is it? I prefer you like this.
Albus: *very softly* where is he?
LV: the things I've seen in his mind, Albus. Do you know the memory of the time you had together during your youth shone like a beacon? Do you know he is still desperately in love with you? After all this time? So touching. And yes, I've see. Everything. Ready to subjugate the Muggles, weren't we? Ready to burn the world and build a new one. "For the greater good". Wise words, Albus, very wise. How do you think your allies will feel when they will hear how much a revolutionary you were?
Albus, almost screaming: where is he?!
LV, smiling: oh, that's so touching. Do you still love him, Albus? Your murderous dangerous husband? Do you still want him? Even if it has been years since you went to meet him? Or do you wish he was dead? Free, at least, from his love? Now i understand the strength of love, you know?
Albus, putting an hand in his face: ...
LV: love made you so bloody pathetic you could not bear to touch an hair on his head, after he cheated the elections. Love made him so weak he couldn't bear to attack your defenseless back. Love created an artifact that could literally choke you, regardless of your magical power. Love is terrible, illogical, wild, violent, poisonous. But fate blessed Lord Voldemort: I'm completely free of its poisonous holding. You on the other hand...
Albus, having recomposed himself : do you want to fight, Tom? I will give you your duel.
LV: who wants a fight, Albus? I don't want to fight, you still don't understand? I want to rule, as I was born to. So listen carefully: when I will be out of here, I will go to your dear husband and I will kill him. Yes, he's not in good shape but still kicking. But. You can choose to come with me. To be my prisoner. And I will most generously allow you both to live. I'm very generous today, I will let you share your cell! So Albus. What do you choose?

31. Would you come back to me?
Prompt used- doing a pinky promise. This post have been inspired by one of @drarry-is-my-therapy recent reblog and one of @fqirycircle drawing, which is absolutely amazing. TW- ANGST | HURT/COMFORT | Harry's heart had always belonged to the boy by the lake.
Tumblr media
" dad" Albus said as he watched his father cleaning off the used utensils
" yea " harry replied looking over his shoulder to his son sitting behind the kitchen table.
" I- I was talking with mom the other day and she told me something " Albus nervously said
" oh yeah, what'd she tell ?" Harry chuckled
" why you guy's really separated " Albus replied. Harry stopped dead for a moment looking blankly at the utensils until he resumed washing, not replying anything yet.
Once done, harry wiped off his hands over his apron, handing Albus the cold coffee he had just brewed, taking one for himself, he sat down in front of Albus with a curious smile.
" so what'd she tell you ?"
" well- she doesn't want me talking to you about these things but I- think I'm big enough to know these things now, don't you think ?" He nervously asked once again.
" well- albus I think you are " harry gave albus a friendly frown and with that Albus immediately loosened up, giving harry a genuine smile.
" so what did she tell you ?" He asked once again pointing Albus to drink his cold coffee.
" well- she told me- that you guys didn't love each other " Albus said
" I do love your mom Albus-"
" just not the same way, right ?" Albus asked. Biting the inside of his cheek harry deliberated whether he should actually let Albus know or not, until he did, knowing if he were where Albus was, he'd want to know too.
Harry nodded hesitantly.
" but you guys seemed to love each other so much? Like all the things you did, I mean i don't get it how could you just fall out of love you know ?" Albus asked a little irritated by the fact that his parents had actually fallen out of love. Harry is suddenly strongly reminded of a very Vivid situation, the situation he'd been so familiar with.
" Albus- I think what you're trying to say is that we Always cared for each other. We often confuse love with care. At much later part of our marriage, before separation we had almost forgotten what was it like to love each other and simply cared for one another" harry explained.
Albus clenched looking at his father, " so you're saying one day we eventually fall out of love ?"
" what- no- Albus, no that's not what happened- hell " harry immediately responded.
" then what happened ?" Albus aggressively asked
" it's- it's just more complicated than it seems Albus but I want you to know that love is real, alright. Just because your parents didn't work out doesn't mean love cannot exists, look at your uncle Ron and aunt Hermione, I've rarely ever seen love like that and hell I can't even tell you how much time they had spent crushing desperately over each other for years. We're sorry- really for setting such a bad example but we're not perfect, nobody is. It's simply is we couldn't make it work and we regret it " harry sighed pushing his hair back from falling over his face.
Albus shoulder slumped down a bits, staring at the water ring on his coaster absent mindedly.
" just say it albus. Don't keep it in " harry encouraged knowing his son was deliberating about saying something.
Albus looked up at harry strangely, a look he had never looked at him with ever before, " she said- that you- you've never truly loved her. She said even though you loved her but a part of your heart Always belonged to someone else "
And everything stopped. Harry's breath caught in his throat, his hand stilled in the air, even his hair on his forehead became still. He was shook Ginny had told him something like that. It wasn't as if harry wasn't ever prepared for such conversations but the way it had twisted into something, it was unpredictable and he found it hard to focus on one thing.
" is it true dad ? That you loved someone else too ?" Albus contemplated nervously.
Harry looked up at albus, not realising when had he ever leant down and cleared his throat to gain his voice back.
" I never cheated alb-"
" I know. She knows that but she says she knew that you Always have loved Someone else too " Albus bit his lip nervously hoping he hadn't offended harry by saying something so personal.
" i- I never thought she'd actually tell you this" harry eyes widened in surprise as he cleared his throat once again.
" w- I shouldn't have bought this up- this is just-"
" hey hey, it's fine- you said you're big enough to know these things now- well then " harry interjected nervously " she's right. I- my heart as she put it, one part of it has always belonged to someone else " harry sighed closing his eyes, glimpsing back in his memories of that one Particular person.
" oh- who ?" He asked curiously
Harry raised his eyebrows, chuckling nervously, not believing it even for a second that he is infact about have this conversation.
" someone" he finally replied.
And with that harry is brought back into his memories from years ago, that one person's laughter resonating in his head, that one smile which was only reserved for him, that voice which echoed in his head every night, as if it was calling harry to it but just as he reached the bottom, there would be another bottom and he would be stuck. Everyday. And as harry started to finally tell Albus about his first love, he flows into his memory of the last day of 5th year after harry had recently lost Sirius and was extremely vulnerable, around the black lake away from everyone, in just his own little bubble with him.
The lake reflected with the red and yellow light of the dropping sun from across the mountain and a faint breeze drying Harry's face covered with tears. He has someone's arms around his shoulder, cooing him, reminding him one day everything would finally be fine but he didn't had it in him to even understand what he was saying. He was crying, heavily breathing because of the heart clenching pain, the void in his heart which had finally filled had now grown bigger, how was anything ever supposed to be fine..
" we need to end this " harry abruptly said
" what ?" He asked confused by Harry's sudden outrage with something complete nuisance.
" we can't- I can't keep doing this " harry replied numbly
" wha- why not ?" He asked furrowing his eyebrows, feeling slightly hurt by such abysmal suggestion.
" don't you see, I lose everyone one day and I- I can't- I don't want to deliberately lose you " harry replied looking at him.
He frowned " you're not losing me harry-"
" then will I not ?" They had never talked about future, only because it remained so uncertain that they hated the idea of future
" no- you will not " he replied
" and you are absolutely 100 percent sure ? Isn't there a possibility someone would find out about us and it'll spread like a wildfire and everyone would desperately try to separate us !" Harry exclaimed
" okay harry- first calm down. Nobody have found out about us in the last one year, it seems highly unlikely someone would-"
" voldemort knows " and suddenly both of their breaths came to a halt. One word and everything they owned collapsed onto the ground as if it was the fragile chandelier hanging on the top of a broken roof.
" how-"
" he can see in my head. We can't keep doing this-"
" then we fight-"
" I'll fight- can you ?"
And there was silence. He wanted to respond that he would but he didn't trust the world, even if he trusted himself. He hated the world. He was weak, fragile and in a fight against the world, he knew he'd always lose, over and over.
" we are on opposite sides of war. Voldemort's came out. He'll be rebuilding his army. Everything is going to change. Even us" harry tried to explain without wanting to break down. This was the first time harry after sirius had sensibly talked but it was self preservation speaking for him, he couldn't afford to lose someone he really loves, once again. For once he wanted to protect his heart, he couldn't roll it over his sleeves when his sleeves were covered with thorns. It would be a death call and he couldn't give in, just yet.
" you and I- people like us don't belong together. The world will never understand us and this is the first fight we'd lose. I want this but it's going to be difficult. We can't be together as Long as we are on opposite sides-"
"Then I'll be on your side- "
" you are " harry responded giving a weak smile
" but I belong on the other side" he replied looking far ahead over the lake as if the realisation had finally dawned upon him. Something he had always known but had now slapped him right in the face.
"yes " harry replied looking at him, Saving in his memories the last time what he really looked like, his smile, his long lashes, his crooked nose, his pale skin, his tinted cheeks, his soft ears, his soft hair, his storm filled eyes, his pink plumped lips he had kissed so often. Saving it away for one day what it would look like in a pensieve.
" we knew what we were getting into but we took the risk nevertheless. It was a deranged path and we knew it from the beginning " harry softly said clutching other man's fingers with his own.
He didn't reply, he just longingly stared at the waters, as if he was remembering them not harry.
" so we give up ?" He finally asked turning to harry with unseen part of his face wet with tears. Harry reached forward wiping away his tear but they didn't stop, they only flooded more with Harry's touch.
" no, we- we promise to come back once again after all this is over" harry smiled softly.
" and you believe there will be coming back after all ? What if one of us- dies " he hesitated In fear of only imagining it.
Harry started at him knowing it was one of the possibilities but wasn't ready for such thing. It was a huge possibility that one day harry might lose " I have hope for us " harry suddenly spoke out loud. The thoughts In his mind had unknowningly reached his lips and there wasn't a going back from that.
The other man stared at harry long enough, he too concealing this part of him for that one day they'd meet again.
" promise me then if we make it through, we'll come back to each other " he asked, his voice sounding not more than a quivering sound.
" I promise that If I make it through one day, we'll meet again and come back to each other" harry replied
" pinky promise ?" He smiled.
Harry chuckled, then nodded
" do you promise ?"
" I promise "
" what happened then ? How'd you wind up with mom ?" Albus asked curiously, a faint yellow light from the evening bouncing over his brunette head.
" did he- die ?" Albus asked almost heart broken
" what- no " harry chuckled
" then what happened ?" Albus asked again
" he- broke the promise. We belonged to someone else much before we could've even belonged to each other. When I met him after the war and his probation, he had changed completely " harry replied reminiscing about the specific day
" then didn't you ever ask him again ?" Albus asked almost jumping off his chair.
Harry gave a small smile " I couldn't "
" but why- what if he had still loved you ?" Albus asked
" as I said he was completely changed. He wasn't the man I fell in love with. He never asked either. It died out over time. Besides I'm pretty sure he had already forgotten about it. Also I think he was engaged by the time we met again, it didn't make sense" harry replied
" then didn't you ever like try to stop his wedding like In those romantic comedies mum watches ?" Albus asked excitedly
Harry laughed picking up their glasses and going over to the sink " she's always loved them. You've got to stop watching them if that's what you're cooking in your head Albus. Real love Is different than what they show, it's not just one fight and making it up. Its so much efforts, fights, pain, drama and so many other things"
" but If it's the right person, it'd never feel like that would it ? If you really love someone then those fights wouldn't be so bad or there wouldn't be pain or drama. It'd be a happy relationship, wouldn't it ?" And in that small sentence albus has unknowningly managed to define true love.
Harry looked at his now grown up son, crossing his arms smiling impressively. And nodded.
Albus sighed in relief, slumping down in his chair. Harry quizzically analysed Albus until his expressions changed to sometimes brief.
" who is it?" Harry asked knowingly
" what?" Albus blushed
" who's this person you're suddenly relating everything to ?" Harry teased poking Albus Playfully.
" there is no one dad" Albus blushed embarassed, jumping off the chair, taking a few steps back.
" come on- I told you my story. I atleast deserve to know who it is " harry smirked crossing his arms in front of him
Albus sighed rolling his eyes" he's from school"
" ooh, someone from school. Like father like son" harry teased
" dadd " Albus whined blushing
" okay- fine, fine. Who is it then ?" Harry asked giving up with the teasing.
" it doesn't matter, he doesn't like me " Albus sighed crossing his arms in front of him in disappointment.
Harry carefully analysed Albus's face again, remembering exactly the same way he felt "it's the Malfoy kid, isn't it ?"
Albus's eyes suddenly shot up in surprise.
" how did you-"
" you're my son. Of course I'd know" harry sighed uncrossing his arms and stepping forward and placing them in the kitchen table, leaning forward.
" don't make the same mistakes I did. Ask him out. Write to him maybe. I'm sure he'd agree " harry suggested.
" mistake ? What mistake did you make ?" Albus asked curiously.
Harry gave him a firm smile before he putting his hands away from the table to his sides " it's a story for some other day, your mom is gonna be here to pick you up in an hour. Do your stuff and we'll talk about it next week? What say ?"
Albus frowned before letting go and nodding.
" one last question dad "
" shoot" harry said as he started washing those used cups again
" did you ever love mom as much as you loved that someone ?"
Harry smiled this time not stopping " I- love like that happened only once. I loved your mom a different way. I loved him a different way "
" but who'd you love more then?"
Harry turned around to see Albus standing there leaning over the kitchen table curiously " I will not answer that. Now enough with my love life. Go do your homework " harry said a little sternly in his father like adamant voice.
Sighing Albus gave up.
" okay, just one question, I promise " Albus plead again. Harry sighed before nodding.
" if now he came back in your life and asks you for a second chance, would you go back to him ?"
Harry smiled Shaking his head" yes- yes I would "
The next week when Albus came back for the stay, he seemed far excited than anything else. As soon as Ginny had left, Albus squealed.
" whoa there squirrel, what's got your knickers in a twist ?" Harry chuckled
" I've got an invitation. Can we please go to scropius's place. He offered for a while. I'll promise we can come back and do homework, he really wants me to see his collections. Can we please dad, please ?" Albus gave harry his puppy eyes in desperation..
Harry sighed before nodding.
" for an hour.. "
And with that after an hour, they flooed to scropius's place. The Malfoy manor.
They were recieved with a rather very pleasant place. It was no longer a dark, submerged place, it had been refurbished with mostly white and brown. It seemed like an entirely new place. Not one part of Malfoy manor looked like what it did ages ago ,and yet harry liked it better. It was welcoming. And just then he walked in, with scropius.
" potter "
" Malfoy" harry sternly nodded at Draco, losing himself again in that brief reminiscents of the past. He hadn't changed even a little bit as he remembered him from the day by the lake, yet everything had changed. Everything.
" we're gonna go " Albus didn't even wait and ran off with scropius, leaving harry and draco alone, both staring at each other thinking how the other had forgotten of the promise..
( I've really been writing shit lately. Anyways hope you liked this one, I'd been very excited for this one but It haven't turned out as good as I wanted to, so .. )

There was a slight frown upon Albus' face, not exactly enjoying the compliments. Or rather, he could not allow himself to enjoy the attention otherwise he risked falling back into old habits. And oh how tempting it was to let Gellert's charm wash over him. Just being next to him and feeling the heat radiating between them had him paralyzed and temporarily at a loss for words. He never quite knew what to expect when standing before Gellert these days. Most of the time, their dialogue turned bitter and unbearable. Gellert was always polite in his greetings, but never since reuniting had Albus been greeted like this.
Some part of Albus reasoned that this was simply a trick; that this was Gellert's way of tripping him up. Instead of berating Albus per usual about being the Ministry's puppet, he would take another approach and leave Albus at a loss. And IF that was his plan, it was working to a degree. The Hogwarts professor found himself chewing his lip and trying to ignore the magical ( and physical ) pull Gellert's extended presence was making him feel. Perhaps this was why he always kept his distance whenever they crossed paths.
Albus couldn't remember feeling like this the last few times they met. Or maybe it was the troth's magic making it easier to feel things now. He felt so weak most days at work that it was no wonder Gellert had gotten into his head earlier. It frightened Albus to say the least, but not so much because it was Gellert. It was merely the idea of being controlled with something like the Imperius Curse that worried him. Without his mind shields…
He didn't want to think about it. He just needed to be grateful that the one in his head was the mastermind that he knew well as opposed to… someone else.
Albus rolled his eyes, but that was yet another attempt at ignoring the festering power within the contained room. Albus usually kept his attire more common. Dark or light greys --- nothing of worth that would make him stand out in a crowd. However, Minerva had insisted he make more of an effort tonight. With various important Muggles and wizards alike being present, Albus needed to look like he belonged and his friend made certain to bring out the best in him.
His suit was the latest in fashion; a deep blue suit with thin, grey pinstripes. It complimented the cloak hanging over his shoulder. A fedora hid wavy hair for most of the night, but in an effort not to be rude, he ditched it halfway through his social endeavors with Travers. The suit complimented sparkling blue eyes although these days the sparkle had dimmed quite a bit. It was the illness of course, but those who didn't know him best had hardly noticed. To them, he was still the great Albus Dumbledore, potential victor in the fight against Gellert. They had no idea of the obstacles in his path and he hadn't the energy to try and explain them either.
"You've been here all night Gellert," he answered coolly. "I am certain you are well aware of what has been said of me. But just to indulge you, no. I do not think anyone else has described me as 'ravishing'. Unless they were thinking it but I wouldn't know. I wasn't paying much attention."
Again, another eye roll. This time he nearly turned to face him, but out of fear of what his expression might reveal, he stayed the course. Best to not look at him until absolutely necessary. "I think you know the answer to that as well. If you get caught, you are on your own. I will neither help them or you. I will let fate decide what happens minus my interference." Because not only did he lack the strength to fight him, he just didn't have the motivation to help Travers either. At least not tonight. Tonight, he was going to be petty. He believed he had earned the right considering what he was forced to endure earlier.
Albus' mind drifted back at Gellert's words, taking the explanation as is. Perhaps he was being sincere. Albus knew deep down that he had no reason to suspect otherwise. There was that and how ELSE was he to get Albus' attention? The room below was crawling with powerful wizards. Calling to him in that manner had been the only way to do so discreetly. Not that Albus was condoning the act but… his explanation was fair. He simply could not argue the point.
"Fair enough."
And he had fixed his mouth to inquire about tonight; to find out just what other reason Gellert had for being here. Surely he didn't come all this way JUST to fraternize with the enemy, especially after their last few encounters. So why was he here? Who was the target? So many questions he knew Gellert would only vaguely answer yet he had planned on asking anyway. It was better than being trapped in a constant state of push and pull between his emotions. That WAS the plan until…
"Is there a way I can make it up to you?"
His brain short circuited briefly as he released a shaky breath. What? No. Of course not. What could his 'ex' husband possibly do to make it up to him? Leave? Leaving would be good. If he left then the troth would stop pulsing and Albus could slip away back to the sanctuary that was Hogwarts. He could hide out and curse himself in private for not having the guts to draw his wand now or any of the times before. He could be free of all this torment. Just… he need only say the words...
But he found himself shaking his head furiously. "I'm fine," Albus managed. "I'm… it's fine. You're forgiven. For that at least." He swallowed, ignoring how tightly the troth coiled around his arm. Feeling him so close again nearly made him jump out of his skin, but he held firm albeit barely. "Why are you really here?" he managed. "I know you didn't come all this way just to corner me about my state of dress. Surely a man of your status has way more important things to do. Like plan a assassination? Or gather intel on other enemies? Which is it? Or are you finally ready to eliminate me?"
Good. Nice. Change the subject matter. Because he wasn't sure he could handle much more of this stifling tension --- not with this growing headache and the other pains he was hiding well enough tonight.
Gellert had been expecting a vicious snarl back at him, for daring to come so close to him uninvited. It was a delightful surprise to hear the hint of concern in Albus’ voice as he pointed out that he couldn’t fight all of the Ministries workers downstairs. He wouldn’t ruin the moment by pointing out his hypocrisy since he was helping those same workers in trying to take him down. Perhaps there was still hope somewhere that Albus could come to their side, but he wasn’t going to push that here tonight. It would only make Albus close up and run away again and he wanted to take advantage of what appeared to be a brief reprieve in their animosity. Perhaps it was the troth that was changing the tide between them, working it’s magic to draw the two together again. “Yes, ravishing.” Gellert confirmed, not pulling back just yet. It had been a long time since they’d been this close to one another. A simple tilt of his head and he could press kisses along the exposed skin along Albus’ collar. He could easily run a hand along his back, ending up at his hip. It would be easy to tug him back so Albus was pressed against him. Would he allow him such intimacy tonight? His husband was always snapping and snarling at him for so much as daring to appear before him. But he hadn’t missed the shiver that went through Albus’ body as he drew closer, noting the way he fisted his palms as if trying to keep a hold on his control. “Have the other guests not told you so already?” He could have only imagined how frightfully dull their conversations would have been, when they should have been genuflecting before a wizard as great as Albus Dumbledore.
“You sound worried about me getting caught.” It wasn’t a question, for there could be no mistaking Albus’ tone. “Would you help me make a quick getaway if they were to see through the spell?” He teased him lightly, knowing that Albus was more likely to help them capture him. Things were so complicated between them. What had once appeared black and white had faded into countless shades of grey. Gellert couldn’t help but wonder if Albus was more hopeful of his capture so the pressure was off him from performing like a trained Demguise. He had wanted to make the Ministries back away from Albus, especially Travers, but Albus had long told him to keep out of it and so, he had abided by that.
He wasn’t concerned about being captured tonight. No one had picked up on the spell he had cast and besides, he wasn’t here alone. It was too risky for him to attend such an event without back up and he wasn’t here only to see Albus. That was simply a wonderful benefit for his efforts here this evening. He couldn’t say that he didn’t enjoy seeing him, even if their meetings always ended poorly. Perhaps this one would end better.
Was it the troth that was having an effect on Albus’ mood? He couldn’t help but wonder if it was still affecting his body and mind. He had been worried about him but Albus had left no room for argument when he had told Gellert not to return after their last meeting. But he couldn’t ignore just how open Albus’ mind had been to him tonight. Even when they had been closer all those years ago, his mind had been closed off to anyone that he didn’t want. Albus had always had powerful occlumency skills that rivalled his own.  Had his mind just been open to him or could anyone have gotten inside? As much as he loathed the ones downstairs, there were some powerful witches and wizards amongst them.
Was he still trying to break the troth? Of course he was, which was only doing harm to himself. There was no magic, no potion, no curse that could shatter what they’d made. They’d been children but powerful ones and their research skills had known no bounds even back then. They’d been so painstakingly careful when casting the blood magic and it could not be undone. Gellert had no interest in destroying their bond but he knew Albus could not be dissuaded in his attempts.
Had he brought it here this evening? A bold move but then he likely wouldn’t have left it anywhere else. It wasn’t around his neck so he could only assume it was wrapped around his wrist as it had been during their last meeting. Could Albus feel it pulsating against his skin? Their joined blood drops, dancing inside at the two of them being reunited? Did he enjoy it or loathe the sensation? He couldn’t bring himself to ask, just yet at least.
“I did not mean to cause offence with my invitation. I was certainly not summoning you like a pet. I was merely desiring your company this evening.” Gellert had wanted to speak with him and had been in no mood to do so downstairs. He hadn’t wanted to wear a glamour with Albus, and he had wanted this meeting to be private. There were too many eyes and ears downstairs and while they wouldn’t have been able to see through his spell, he didn’t want them to become suspicious. Besides, that would only increase their suspicion of Albus when they were already keeping close enough tabs upon him as it was. The cuffs might have come off but they both knew the Ministry wouldn’t think twice about slapping them on again.
“Is there a way I can make it up to you?” He leaned in closer, his hair brushing lightly against Albus’ skin. How he longed to press a kiss against his pulse point but he refrained, if only because it would send Albus running.

Chapter 1: The Order Of The Phoenix
Charlie and Bill Weasley had returned from their jobs abroad with the only purpose of duly serving the Order of the Phoenix commanded by Albus Dumbledore. For Bill it hadn’t been a sacrifice to return home, things in Egypt were not going at all well and he only asked for his transfer to an English office to work and at the same time help the Order. It wasn’t the same for his brother Charlie, cause he had to leave all his errands in Romania along with all his beautiful dragons. The journey to Grimmauld Place had been complicated cause, despite not missing anything from the countries they were returning from (with the exception of Charlie's dragons) they could quickly get used to the quiet, anti-Voldemort pace of life that the English magical community was vitiated by.
Both brothers were welcomed by their mother Molly Weasley, with tears in her eyes she hugged them as tightly as she could inviting them into the farthest room possible. Bill remembered Grimmauld Place very vaguely, the only time he set a foot inside the house was when Dumbledore asked him to help him clear the rooms and turn them into curse free spaces where they could quietly discuss classified Order business.
No matter how many times they cleaned that place, the old house of Black would always remain with that grayish appearance and the musty smell of worn wood. Sirius didn't seem to have any intention of renovating its fallen parts - of which there were quite a few - but seemed to enjoy watching the house fall apart. Be that as it may, Bill thought that any place was a good place to plan the crazy moves Albus Dumbledore had in his head.
The room was filled with people Bill had met before through letters his mother sent him informing him of the Order's progress, Dumbledore thought the best way to gain the upper hand against Voldemort's dark army was to recruit wizards who were willing to give their lives to protect the magical community. Surprisingly more people arrived than Bill could have imagined in addition to all those wizards and witches who had already been part of the association for years.
Taking a seat by the door, Bill and Charlie recognized the silhouette of Nymphadora Tonks. Not that it was very difficult to recognize her as her short, straight, bubblegum pink hair stood out among all the others. The metamorphmagus managed to acknowledge the newcomers sending them a warm smile before gluing her gaze on the door.
Charlie elbowed his brother's shoulder
“Dumbledore and his crazy schemes making us come here just for the Order business....”
“It was necessary," Bill cut him off, looking at him out of the corner of his eye, "Do you even know what's going on with He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named, don't you?” Charlie shook his head “it’s a real mess and you'd know it if you didn't spend so much time with your dragons.
“Don't bring them into this”
“They're some of them now?”
“Yeah, we got a shipment of Peruvian Vipertooths in this month and oh, brother, they're beautiful!”
“Wait” Bill frowned ”Those things doesn’t eat people?
“well yes, but that's only part of their diet, they also feed on goats and cows. We keep them in a cage near the forest because that species was supposedly exterminated after being considered dangerous to wizards and muggles alike, but I think they're beautiful”
Charlie's eyes sparkled and Bill couldn't help thinking that he was the odd one among his siblings. His admiration for dragons frightened him even though he found it adorable at times.
“You know, I'm not surprised you're still single. Knowing you as i do, you'll end up marrying one of those dragons or in the worst case, eaten by one”
Charlie didn't like his older brother's comment.
“What about you? As far as I know, you're not dating someone either”
Charlie's sudden criticism made him clear his throat and settle better in his seat. When they looked over at Tonks, they noticed that she was still staring at the door. Charlie hurried him to answer his comment.
“I met someone” His brother's blue eyes widened, amazed “I mean, we met in Egypt, she was traveling and we only went out a couple of times, nothing important.
“That's what you always say, William” Charlie looked at him mischievously ”No one seems to be good enough for you, huh? Or are you still thinking about someone since our childhood?”
Bill knew what his brother was trying to do and immediately shook his head. He had had this adolescent love for a girl who had left to France without anyone knowing the reasons why. Bill was totally hooked on her, yet the disappointment of her being thousands of miles away from him had broken his heart in a way he couldn't explain. Charlie knew about it, because he was the only one of his siblings who was old enough to understand; still, that didn't take away from the fact that he made fun of her misfortune a couple of times.
“Shut it”
Albus Dumbledore brought an end to everyone's conversations after standing up and clapping his hands a couple of times to get their attention. With a sincere smile, Dumbledore dimmed the lights in the room to reveal dozens of candles levitating all over the place. Bill fell silent and looked at the man
“I know that most of you here had to pause your activities just to attend this extraordinary meeting of the Order of the Phoenix, and for that I want to thank you," Dumbledore smiled at them, "We are fully aware of what is happening in the magical community thanks to the terrible presence of Lord Voldemort," Dumbledore ignored the shrieks of amazement from the audience “That leaves me with the advantage of not having to explain what is obvious to you, so the important thing about this assembly is to make it clear that, despite the magnificent increase in our membership over the past few days, we are still in the minority against the Dark Lord's ranks”
The murmurs grew louder and louder, causing Dumbledore to ask for everyone's calm.
“This doesn’t mean that your help is in vain, what I am trying to say is that we need more wizards and witches to join the Order”
“Where will we get more people?”Asked a witch wearing a yellowish hood on her head, "People are afraid, they're not going to join the Order just like that”
“We'll try to convince them," Dumbledore said calmly. "Of course, all of those who want to join will have to undergo proper training.
“So you're asking for more Aurors?”Minerva McGonagall asked. Professor Dumbledore smiled broadly
“Indeed”
The hubbub in the room intensified for a couple of minutes before Albus Dumbledore called for silence. Bill agreed with everyone that this was sheer madness. It was practically impossible for aurors to enter something as sensitive as the Order of the Phoenix - with the exception of Tonks and Mad-Eye Moody, Bill thought those two were insane - without them reporting every movement of Order members to the Ministry. Yes, the aurors were the best trained people for this kind of work, however, they were the hardest to convince
“Why don't we just make Harry a part of the team?”Asked  Sirius from the middle of the room. Molly Weasley let out a shriek of indignation.
“What are you talking about? Harry's just a boy!”
“Molly, please, the boy knows more about this situation than any of us put together!”
“Even so, it's still dangerous for him”
“It is for everyone. I don't see what difference it makes if Harry is in on it, that way he'd have more support from the Order and He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named would stay away from him”
-If it is true what Sirius says," Dumbledore interjected, "It's no less true that Harry can't be a member of the Order yet. Not until he fixes the problem he has with the ministry after he used magic in front of a Muggle trying to ward off the Dementors that are getting closer and closer to non-wizards. Right now Harry should be being moved to this place to stay at least until the new school year begins.
“And in the meantime what are we going to do?” Severus Snape asked. Bill raised his eyebrows, noticing how Nymphadora Tonks raised her hand to give her opinion.
“I hope this isn't too hasty, but I've been sending some letters to Beauxbatons College in France in search of a response from the Aurors. It is well known that none of them have been willing to give us their help, but this afternoon I received a letter from one person who is willing to help us in any way she can," Tonks looked at everyone before continuing, "I know that one person doessn’t represent a great addition to our ranks, but I am absolutely certain that she is our best option”
Bill's eyes flicked from Nymphadora to Dumbledore repeatedly. He had that strange feeling that Dumbledore knew who she was referring even though she hadn't said the name yet. Dumbledore nodded a couple of times asking Tonks to continue. She cleared her throat
“She should be here soon”
“We’ll wait patiently”
Dumbledore's nod wasn't necessary cause seconds later the door flung wide open letting in the light from the main corridor. Bill glanced at the newcomer noting your expensive French clothes and your perfectly coiffed hair in a ponytail. His breath quickened as he took a close look at your face and recognized those features he remembered from when he was a teenager. A quick glance at Charlie was enough to confirm that what he saw was not an illusion.
The whole room rose to their feet, and as you entered the room raising your hands to the sky, the room was filled with a bright light that caused everyone to take cover before it blinded them permanently. Bill caught a glimpse of Tonks' pleased giggle before you reached Dumbledore giving him a handshake as a greeting while keeping the light alive with your opposite hand.
Your wand was in your jacket pocket and from your hands an endless fountain of light gushed forth, bringing peace to the members of the order.
The mythical (Y/N) Lexington didn’t needed a wand to have magic.

"Because she likes my brother." Albus said, rolling his eyes at the fact that his friend is the only one denying it. Even Lily noticed, when last week they saw the two of them in the garden in the afternoon, she was sitting against a tree with a book in her hand, and he was lying on her lap sleeping.
It was obvious that they had long since stopped being friends.
"Well, you could be wrong," Scorpius shrugged, sitting at the Slytherin table but his eyes focused on the table in front of them, where hair as blond as his stood out.
It was early, there weren't many people there, Albus didn't even want to be up so much before their class time, but they had to study and he had promised he would go this time. He almost always preferred to stay asleep, even if he had to study late into the night afterwards.
Albus worked best at night.
"Man, she probably sees you as her boyfriend's younger brother, as she sees me,"
"They don’t date." Scorpius stared at Albus like a hungry owl. He sighed, giving up on trying to help.
They had already had that conversation many times, and they always ended up falling out because to Albus it was obvious that Mira didn't even remember Scorpius' existence, but his friend always said that he had never liked someone so much to understand what he felt.
"All I have is hope, you don't know what it's like."
Which was true.
Albus had never liked anyone, at least not in a loving way, but it was because he was… afraid.
The first time he realized he had found a man too handsome, much more so than his classmates, that's when Ben Johnson was revealed as a new player for Puddlemere and appeared shirtless on the cover of Witch Weekly magazine.
The image of him smiling with that beautiful face of his, and his body all tanned, strong and sweaty, stayed in his mind for much longer than it should have. And Albus still had his poster because his arms looked huge in that uniform and heavens, how could anyone be so handsome?
But of course no one knew that, because it seemed wrong that Albus should spend so much time liking a man when his friends seemed to be obsessed with the newest Harpies. Okay, they were pretty, Albus would never deny that, but not… that pretty. The Puddlemere guys were much more interesting to him, and Albus decided that was very wrong.
And he wouldn't even get into the fact that Elio, the new Hufflepuff chaser, was probably the prettiest boy Albus had ever seen at Hogwarts.
Elio was a year older than them, he was in his fourth year, and he was so kind it was irritating. Albus and he ended up meeting in the library at night when he went there to study, the Hufflepuff also seemed to agree that night was the best time to read and do the things that needed to be done, and whether for lack of friends or because he really wanted, Elio invited Albus to sit with him.
It was just the two of them there, and it was almost close to curfew, so not even the nerds were in the library, and as much as Albus didn't want to raise expectations, on other days, Elio also invited him to study. Which made it a very difficult situation for his poor heart.
"Are you listening to me?" Scorpius complained, glaring at Albus like he was crazy. "I asked you if you want to go to the gardens?"
''Why would you- oh…'' Glancing quickly over his shoulder, Albus saw James arriving at the Gryffindor table, waving to him before taking a seat next to Mira, who laid her head on his shoulder as he passed his arm around her waist.
Albus wanted to have James' confidence.
"Come on, it should be nicer out there." He tucked the books into his bag, wanting to tell Scorpius that he'd warned, but not thinking it would be very kind of him. He wouldn't like it if he did that.
''Where were you yesterday, by the way?'' Scorpius eyed him with a smirk, walking beside him out of the hall, looking as if he hadn't just seen the girl he liked showing affection to another guy. "You're full of secrets lately, should I be jealous?"
"Don't be an idiot," Albus pushed him away, chuckling softly and feeling his cheeks flush. ''I was studying.''
"You seem to have become quite fond of potions all of a sudden, Freya said there's probably someone involved in this… You'd tell me if it was true, wouldn't you?"
''Of course.'' Albus looked away, not because he didn't trust Scorpius to keep his secret, but because... if he spoke it out loud, it would come true, and he didn't quite know how to handle it yet. It was weird.
For years he had envied James his confidence and how extroverted Lily was, thinking that if it was them there, they would have no problem with just taking it on for the whole world and not caring what others thought about it.
Albus wished he could talk to his dad about it, because Harry would probably know how to handle it, but it would be hard to ask for advice without telling him that he liked boys.
"Hm… I wasn't so confident in that answer." The two sat down behind one of the greenhouses, like they used to.
‘’Where is Freya? I thought she was going to be here.'
‘’Don't change the subject, Potter... So, are you liking someone? Is that why you've come to love potions now and go to the library to study every night?'' Scorpius dropped his own bag on the floor, turning to him with eyes wide with curiosity, looking excited at the prospect of him having a date.
“There's no one.” Albus opened his bag, not wanting him to see his expression because he knew he wasn't a good liar.
‘’Come on, Al, please tell me. I promise I won't laugh.”
“Why would you laugh?” He grimaced.
‘’I don't know, maybe you're liking a hateful person and that's why you don't want to tell? Or… I don't know Albus, but it doesn't matter, please tell me. I told you about Mira, and she's your brother's girlfriend.” Scorpius shrugged.
‘’Aha! So you admit she's his girlfriend.”
‘’Okay, yes, I admit it. So, will this encourage you to tell me? Is it someone I know?'' Albus didn't quite know what to say, but he was spared that, because before he even opened his mouth, a group of Hufflepuffs passed by, probably heading to their morning Quidditch training, and in the midst of that jumble of voices and laughter was Elio, with his perfect brown hair in a bun, his uniform highlighting everything that was best in his body, and that smile that made Albus sleep smiling - even though he thought that was the dumbest thing of all.
His tanned skin seemed to glow against the yellow of his uniform, and Merlin helped him, he looked like a Sun God.
Albus was pathetic.
"Hey, Potter!" He greeted him, for the first time, in front of other people - but Albus usually flinched from him when he saw he was with his friends.
He thought it would combust.
"Hey, Perlman!" Albus nodded, trying not to smile too much.
Scorpius didn't say anything as the group walked away, it hadn't been a big deal, Elio hadn't declared himself to him or kissed him in front of everyone, but even so Albus felt close to screaming with happiness.
"Oh…" Scorpius was still looking in the direction where the group had gone, blinking nonstop. Albus was ready to say it wasn't at all what he was thinking and came up with some female name to say it was who he was in love with, but Scorpius wouldn't let him. ‘’Elio?! Why didn't you tell me before?” Was he…smiling?
‘’Scorpius, it's nothing-’’
''Change of plans, we're not going to study, we're going to go watch them train.'' Scorpius didn't even seem to think before throwing their books back into his bag, soon getting up and pulling Albus along with him, who was still a little mortified.
He wasn't going to the field.
''We will not go.''
‘’Of course we will! By Merlin's beard, why didn't you tell me? Elio is the nicest guy I've ever met, of course you'd fall in love with him, and I can't deny he's handsome.” Scorpius shrugged. ‘’Have you ever kissed?
"No!" Albus blushed, because he didn't want to admit that he'd thought about this much more than acceptable. "Are you… are you okay with that?"
"With what?" Scorpius blinked in confusion, pulling him toward the field.
‘’With me liking a boy... I mean... you don't have to pretend it's okay-’’
‘’Why would I need to lie? Look, Al, I'll be honest with you, I already suspected, you didn't hide the Ben poster so well,” Albus blushed even more, but Scorpius continued. ‘’But it's okay to like guys, you know? You're free to kiss whoever you want, and if you don't, that's okay too, it's your life…” He shrugged. "I'm your best friend, you don't need to hide these things from me." Scorpius' smile faltered. ‘’I'm still your best friend, am I not? Or has Elio already taken my place?’’
"Don't be an idiot." Albus pushed him again, laughing along with him. "You're still my best friend, even if you wake me up early to study."
‘’Well, now we found a new hobby for you to do; Watching Elio being hot in the air.” He said all dramatic, hands up, as if showing the title of a movie in the air. ‘’Much better than studying History, be honest.’’
"Much better." Albus smiled. "Thank you," he said sincerely, because that burden seemed less heavy now that he was sharing it with someone.
''Is nothing. That's what friends do, isn't it?” Scorpius smiled, pulling Albus into a hug, not seeming to mind the people passing by and looking at them suggestively. "Come on, you still need to tell me if you've ever flirted with him."

Hi! Anon form HP's classmates ask. After reading the Lavender, Parvati, Dean, and Seamus, I forgot to ask you these: Cedric (I don't think you did him), Cho (pretty sure you didn't do her), and Marietta (even though we barely see anything of her). Oh and also Colin if you can. If it's too long just do the first two. Thanks, and have a good and safe day! =)
Well, I have to confess, these will probably be a lot more boring than you’re expecting. I do tend to have opinions on arbitrary Harry Potter characters, but there’s also a lot of NPCs that, well, I really don’t think about them much. They’re kids, they go to school, seem nice enough, the end.
Not all my opinions are made of spice.
But, with that, let’s begin.
Cedric Diggory
Really not much to say on him.
Seems like a nice enough guy, I appreciated that he was a Hufflepuff so we got to see at least someone from that house that was a really cool dude, the house division also helped explain why we’d seen and heard so little about him (I think he gets a brief mention as being Seeker for Hufflepuff in Prisoner of Azkaban).
For me, what stands out about him is mostly the tragedy. Here was this young man, in the prime of his life, with his whole future ahead of him who senselessly dies.
Had he not accompanied Harry, he would have lived, and it was pure unfortunate luck that he did. And then it’s over so quickly, just a demand of “kill the spare” and he’s dead. That’s it, it’s all over.
And then his death is made a mockery of, overwritten, then willfully forgotten by society.
He’s used as evidence by Harry and Dumbledore for Voldemort’s return, his murder is pinned on Harry by the government, and by the time the government admits to what happened they’ve moved on to bigger problems.
We only really see the mourning of Cedric from his father and later Cho. Harry’s messed up about it, but it was more from witnessing the event, he didn’t really know Cedric that well as a person. In fact, he feels very awkward and put out when it becomes clear that, a few months later, Cho is not handling her boyfriend having been murdered by a dead man very well.
And that’s what strikes me about him, just how easily he’s forgotten, and how sad it all is.
Cedric might be the reddest of red shirts in Harry Potter.
Cho Chang
I wish more had been done with Cho.
I know, I know, we get a lot of Cho.
But we get Cho in the context of Harry’s first romance, his crush that later sets him up for Harry/Ginny (JKR is fond of using other pairings to set up her main pairing, we see this also with Ron/Lavender). They give it a whirl, Harry finally gets what he wants, and it turns out to not really be his thing.
Cho is too girly, enjoys things like Madame Puddifoots, and is clearly still hung up on Cedric. The whole thing ends very awkwardly and we get a Harry who’s ready to move on to Ginny by book six.
That said, that’s what I like about Cho. She has this great boyfriend who she really liked, he dies horrifically and tragically, and she’s left trying to sort through the aftermath. She ends up clinging to Harry as he is a) Harry Potter and essentially Jesus b) the only witness to what happened to Cedric. To her, I imagine, she and Harry share this unbreakable bond after fourth year. She was closest to Cedric in the school, the only one who truly seems to want to mourn him, and Harry watched Cedric die.
Cho lives in this world where Cedric’s death has been made a political issue. That his dying seems not to have mattered, indeed, is barely discussed so much as the manner in which he died. People are constantly fighting whether a deranged Harry did it, Voldemort came back, and Cedric gets forgotten somewhere in the middle.
And Cho tries to move on, she tries to embrace the fight against Voldemort, prepare herself to defend her nation and help fight against the man who murdered Cedric, but it just doesn’t work out. Because ultimately, they’re a bunch of kids in a room practicing the patronus. And even in the DA, despite acknowledging that Voldemort’s back, it’s still never about Cedric. It’s all about Voldemort and what’s coming, Cedric, oh yeah, poor guy, what a tragedy, the first casualty of war.
So, mostly I just feel very bad for Cho, and wish we could have seen more of her to see what the effect death has on people. We have Harry’s reaction to Sirius’ death but... in a weird way he actually gets over that kind of quickly. This isn’t the post for it, but to me Harry was always more upset by the loss of what Sirius represented than Sirius himself.
Marietta Edgecombe
Marietta does not deserve the hate she gets. Sure, she decided to leave the DA and snitched. But you know what, they’re fifteen year olds in a boarding school, and the DA while stupid was also kind of terrifying.
I mean, you suddenly find yourself in a group called “Dumbledore’s Army”, which is actively preparing itself for “fighting against the dark lord” and possibly “against those who deny his return”. The club has all these rules about secrecy, which at first seem reasonable as it’s against the rules, but then start sounding pretty scary. It sounds like you just signed up to launch a coup against the ministry on Albus Dumbledore’s behest. Had I been in DA,I like to imagine at some point I’d start thinking “what the actual fuck?”
More than that, Marietta’s family is on the line. Her mother works for the ministry. Her mother could be fired or perhaps even persecuted if this got out. Shit starts getting very real for Marietta.
So, Marietta leaves and snitches, and then she gets stitches.
Hermione gleefully scars and deforms her, something Marietta will carry with her for the rest of her life. I mean, can you imagine if Hermione had said, “Oh, by the way, if you rat us out I will personally murder you. Just kidding, but I will cut up your face, snitch” that anyone would react well? Which is probably why Hermione just stuck to an ominous vague warning instead. The true noble members, after all, would never think of leaving.
So yeah, given Hermione, actually given all of it (including Harry’s complete lack of sympathy for Marietta being branded when Cho tries to bring up her situation) the DA absolutely should have been shut down. My god, it was spiraling out of control, and given Harry and Hermione could have honestly gotten to the point where they took out hits on, oh I don’t know, Draco Malfoy.
You laugh, but I’m serious, they would totally do that.
Colin Creevy
It’s very bold of JKR to assume I care at all about Colin.
Colin’s one of the typical HP NPCs, quirky enough to be memorable, gives us a nice muggleborn student, weird kid but around enough that we remember him.
Then he dies in the Battle of Hogwarts, where many of our main characters survive, and I’m supposed to be absolutely devastated. COLIN IS DEAD, FRED IS DEAD, THE WORLD IS SO SAD.
We barely know Colin, his dying is just there to wrack up the red shirt numbers and make the last book of Harry Potter feel more like an actual war with actual consequences.
Sad that he died, but certainly not a tear jerking moment for me.
