This is mainly Doffy-coded, but could probably work for a few other f/o's:

Character A asking Character B to hurt them while they fuck because Character A gets off on it, and Character B gets off on being able/trusted enough to hurt Character A.

Uggghhh I love this trope (and so applicable to so many characters and pairings, tbh...). That reciprocity, the push and pull of what one wants and needs and how it compliments the wants and needs of the other, like symbiosis.
