:à©â©â§âË VALENTINE Ë.°: âË àš
â matt sturniolo x fem reader â
â fluff, smut, sex warning!
today was valentineâs day â to you, valentineâs day was a day of all kinds of love. not just relationship love. it was a day to love your friends, a day to love family, and day to cherish pets, and a valid excuse to gift give and stuff your face with all the chocolate you could find. but this valentineâs day was different, because you actually had a valentine that wasnât your best friend or your sister. a romantic valentine. while this made you excited, it also made your stomach turn. you had no idea what to expect. all you knew was that your boyfriend had something extra special planned. the term âboyfriendâ didnât exactly roll casually off the tounge for you. this was your first romantic relationship ever. you and matt have been dating a little over a year. although things are great between the two of you, youâve been extremely inexperienced in a healthy, loving relationship, along with the physical aspect of expressing affection.
you eagerly awaited upon matts arrival, staring out the window watching for his car. you jolted as he began pulling into the driveway, beating him to the front door. âhey.â matt delicately smiled, his hands full. âthese are for you.â he exclaimed, handing you each item one at a time. âhappy valentineâs day.â the first consisted of a bouquet of white roses and pink tulips. the second was a pink wrapped box with a lace ribbon. you sat on the doorstep, pulling the mystery box down with you. in the box were two pink stuffed animals. a bear and a pig, along with some chocolates, a heart shaped locket, and some perfume. âthank you, matt. this is really sweet. i love it.â you stood back up, your fingertips advancing to mattâs waist as you drew him in for a kiss. matt slid his hand into yours and gently swung it back and forth.
âthe sunâs gonna set soonâ âiâm nervousâ you chuckle. âdonât be. i promise itâs gonna be really chill and fun.â he reassured, tucking a strand of hair behind your ear.
âweâre almost thereâ matt exclaims excitedly as you begin unbuckling your seatbelt. he practically flies from the drives seat, and to your door once the car is parked. he offers a helping hand as you move from the car. he slides up behind you, with both of his hands blocking your view. âam i going the right way?â you question with your arms out. âturn left.â matt mumbles. he removes his hands and a small picnic in a flower field in revealed. âthis is so prettyâ you glisten. âiâm glad you think so.â matt laughs.
he pats the quilt, signaling for you to take a seat next to him. he plucks a pink flower from one of the nearby bushes and places it behind your ear. âyouâre so prettyâ he claims. you fall silent for a few moments. no guy had ever seemed so genuine toward you. âthank youâ you reply, a smile forming on your face. you wrap both your arms around one of his and rest your head on his shoulder as he prepares the food to be eaten.
he leans further into you and presses a delicate kiss to the corner of your mouth. âtake your pick.â he hands you a heart shaped tray of chicken tenders and a variety of sauces. you point to an orange sauce. he opens it for you before the both of you begin to shovel down your food.
stars evidently show up in the sky as the clouds evaporate and the sunlight dims. âi really appreciate you doing all this for me mattâ âgood, i had fun setting up and im glad i could do something special for you.â his arm snuck around your waist as his fingertips began exploring the small of your back. he started to pepper kisses all around your face. your nose. you chin. your lips. your jaw. your cheeks. you smiled against his lips as he transferred you onto his lap, his hands digging into your waist. you arch into his lap as his hand glides up to your breast, lightly clasping it. your hand advances up, following his touch as his other hand slips up your thigh, under your dress. matt gently pulls away. âis this okay? we can wait. i donât mind.â he reassures you. you rest your arms around his neck loosely, actually considering if this is what you want. you finally nod. âi want this.â âyouâre sure?â he tilts his head and slightly raises a brow. âyepâ you shrug comfortably .
he leans back in, hooking the waistband of your panties with his finger. he tugs it down, waving them right above your knees. you begin to pant needy breaths as you and matt advance to open mouth, sloppy kisses. he gently rubs up and down your wet folds, before kneading your clit. you gasp as he unhurriedly slides his middle finger into you, pumping in and out. your head falls into his neck as you ride his finger gathering as much friction as you possibly can as he curls completely into your g spot. âmoreâ you utter breathily as his finger curls into you. âanother finger?â you nod violently. between the nipple play and the fast pace thrusts and curls inside you, a warm tingle begins forming at the pit of your stomach. matt bucks his hips as you tug his pants below his thighs. you feel his hard growing beneath you with every bounce down. you earn a sharp whince from him as your fingertips clamp down on his bulge. you palm him gently, allowing a warm liquid spot to form in his boxers. âfeel good?â you mumble into his neck. âso goodâ he whispers back. you slide your hand through his underwear, setting free his hard, red, swollen cock already dripping in pre-cum. you trace the veins around it and spread the juice before aligning yourself with his hard. matt grunts shooting his hips, as you slowly sink down onto his cock. he swiftly takes charge, firmly gripping around your thighs as he pushes himself up inside you. he feels your clench around his cock. his head lands in the crook of your neck before he utters, âyou feel so good.â your hands trail up his shirt and you dig into the back of his shoulder blades. his jaw falls slack as your head shoots back, both of you chasing your climax. âi think im closeâ you whisper feeling the liquid tense in your lower abdomen. âlet goâ matt replies, his jaw slack. those words were all you needed to hear before your shoulders rose, and the knot in your stomach snapped, allowing you to slowly release all over his dick. he groaned at the feel of your wet coat, before picking up the pace. you gasped, squeezing matts side, as you were highly sensitive. âiâm almost there.â he breathes heavily, as his dick twitches, letting go inside you. he slows down but doesnât stop, riding out his high. he stays resting inside you as he makes his way to a full stop, both of you resting your heads in one anotherâs neck, panting heavily. a few moments pass before matt voices, âthat was amazing. you were great.â his head lifted, leveling with your glassy eyes. you smiled at him in return, placing a compassionate kiss on the tip of his nose.
matt gently lifted you before discarding all the garbage and swatting the crumbs away from the quilt. he took hold of a napkin, tapping your thighs as a gesture to widen them. he lightly dabbled you, soaking up your mess with the tissue. he flipped the quilt to the other side. your head lay gently on top of his chest, legs intertwined, fingers interlocked, creating your own constellations in the stars as you listened to one anotherâs breaths slowing and your heartbeats returning back to normal.
he placed his fingertips to your hair, gently stroking it back with one hand, his other occupied up your dress, leaving light scratches to your back. âi love youâ he murmured into your hair. your face fell, mortified at the realization that you loved him back. you now had something to lose, something that so deeply infatuated you. you gained back composure, wanting this moment to last forever. âi love you too.â you chuckled. âhappy valentineâs dayâ you whispered up to matt sympathetically.
hope u enjoyed! this was a little rushed since i wrote it in the car!! keep requesting though :) iâm happy to write anything!! đ«¶

POWERS OUT
Matt and Chris x y/n
Y/n p.o.v-
Me , Matt and Chris were taking a small 4 night vacation to Vermont , while Nick spends a week with Maddison on tour .
We just got off our plane and stepped into the freezing breeze , its winter right now making the scenery even more beautiful. I grew up on a part of the east cost that never really gets snow so this is a very exciting moment for me . We go to the rental car pick up area getting the keys for a large truck , Matt was nervous to drive it so I offered, the only reason we rented a truck is because of the snow and our air bnb is up further in the mountains and we wanted to make sure we had a car that was equipped for this weather.
We all throw our luggage into the bed and pull the cover over it . We hop in and start our drive . I get a little stressed on the up mountain windy roads especially being in such a big car. Matt seems to notice as he turned down the music Chris had playing and rested his hand on my leg giving comforting soft caress . We finally get to the long windy driveway to the house . It's truly so beautiful , snow and icicles cover the trees lining the driveway. I sigh as we pull up to the house and park .
I know the guys said I would love the house and that it was big but HOLY FUCK big is an understatement . The house is massive , Its truly breathtaking.
" You like it?" matt asks and I slowly nod as my mouth slightly hangs open . " Its... beautiful but this must have cost a fortune to rent" I say as I look at him still in shock of the sheer size of it. " It actually wasn't too bad and with us booking kind of last minute we didn't have too many options" I nod as he explains . " Well lets get inside before we freeze" Chris says as he hops out and gets our bags out of the trunk.
Matt goes up to stairs and gets the keys from the lock box and then puts in the code for the front door . Me and Chris bring in our bags along with matts , we walk into a huge foyer . " wow" I say as Chris nods and smiles. " yeah ... this place is huge bro" " I know right... where the fuck did Matt go?" I ask as I look around for any sign of him. I set our bags down and start walking around "MATT ?" I yell and I hear him in the distance " IN THE KITCHEN" he yells back and I follow his voice down a long dimly lit hallways with large windows on each side giving a view of the beautiful scenery with every step I take. Reaching the end it leads into a beautiful kitchen . " The guy we rented from shopped for groceries for us since he said the storm might get bad and we could possibly be snowed in by tonight" Matt inform us as he goes to the walk in pantry grabbing some snacks.
"Lets go and check out the rest of the house and pick our rooms " Chris says as he starts walking to a staircase in the kitchen that leads upstairs . We walk down a long hallway reaching 3 doors . I open one that leads into a bathroom . " Ooh I like the green tile" I say and Chris pops his head in to look " oh yeah that shits sick " he says as he starts walking to open one of the other doors. " DAMN this room is huge" He says as he walks in and stands at the window looking at the snowy view. " damn it is so nice in here" I say as I look around the dark more masculine designed room . " I think ima take this room . you chill with that?" he asks and I nod " all yours" I say smiling . His eyes narrow as he smirks but looks back out of the window . His reaction to my words was ... a bit odd but whatever. I decide to go and check what's behind the next door . I open it to see its a large library room with a gorgeous view . I will definitely be spending time reading my dark romance books I brought with me in here .
I walk back out passing chris's door seeing he already unpacking " Im gonna go look around some more and find a room , see you in a bit?" I say and he smiles and nods " Yeah just text me when you've settled in and we can all watch a move and maybe make a fire" he says and I nod waving as I walk away to another staircase leading down stairs . It leads into a dimly lit long hallway i'm guessing leading to the west wing of the house . I make my way down randomly looking over my shoulder since I keep scaring myself into feeling like somethings behind me . I find another staircase leading upstairs . I meet another long hallway seeing 4 doors spaced out . I open the first one seeing its an art room . I open the next one , its a nice sitting room with a fire place and large windows. The views are amazing in this house , I could and stair for hours ,especially with the snow falling outside beautifully . I reach the third door opening it to see a huge walk in closet . I reach the final room at the end of the hall and open it a huge bedroom . " oh yeah this is my fucking room for sure" I say to myself as I run and flop onto the bed rolling over to look out of the window , the snow is starting to fall a lot faster adding more inches to the already thick layer that covers the ground, the trees are swaying and shimmering with the icicles and snow that have glazed them . Its so beautiful , more beautiful than I had imagined . I always say i'm a beach girl at heart but this view might just change that .
I decide to call Matt and see if he can bring my bag up since I don't feel like trying to find my way back down to the entry way where I left it .
*Phone call
Matt- hey ! you find a room yet ?
Y/n -Yeah this house is huge though i'm on the complete other side than chris but I was wondering if you would so kindly bring my bag up to me ? I don't want to get lost trying to get all the way back down stairs right now .
Matt- Yeah sure . Drop your pin and ill try and find you that way
Y/n- I don't know if that will work but alright . Don't get lost
Matt - ill try my best
*phone call ends
I lay in bed after dropping my exact pin to matt . I don't really think its gonna help him find me but you know i'll let him work that out. After maybe 8 minutes I get a little worried he's not gonna find me . " Y/N?" I hear matt yell from somewhere up here . " LAST ROOM DOWN THE HALL" I yell back . I hear rusting and then my door opening and matt walks in breathing heavily as he drops my duffle bag to the floor . " I really didn't think it through renting this house ... there are so many stares and long... hallways " he says as he bends over catching his breathe " also wtf did you pack to make that shit so heavy" he says making me laugh " sorryyy i'm an over packer " I say laughing as I get up and grab it setting it on my bed and start sorting though trying to find my comfy loungewear and shower stuff. " Thanks for bringing my bag to me " I say and he smiles nodding " No problem , ima go back to my room and shower i'm on the down stairs level if you need anything" he says and I nod " okay sounds good see you in a bit" I say as he walks out.
I gather all the things I need and make my way to the bathroom connected to my room. Its huge like no one needs that much space in a bathroom. I grab a towel setting it on the tub next to the shower and set all my product in the shower before stripping and stepping in. It take me a good 10 minutes to figure out how to work the shower but after finally getting it on I relax into the hot water . As I wash my hair my mind slowly drifts back to the car ride . The way matts hand felt on my thigh , I know he was doing it to comfort me but... the way he caressed it made me feel some type of way . Matt and Chris have been some of the best friends I could ever ask for so it feels wrong ever having dirty thought about them . The way Chris narrowed his eyes and smirked at me earlier in his room also had me thrown for a loop. I cant deny that are both absolutely beautiful , their sharp cut jawlines and hallow cheeks, dead eyes, long slender veiny hands , bright blue eyes I mean Jesus its like they were sculpted by the gods.
I shake away the thoughts as I finish my shower and turn the water off stepping out and wrapping the towel around myself. I do my skin care then use my vanilla body oil and lotion . I throw on my over sized fuzzy hoodie and knee high socks and make my way back out into my room throwing on some deodorant before starting to fully unpack everything into the smaller walk in closet connected to my room. Once im finished I shoot Chris a text that I was heading back down stairs .
I make my way down trying my best to not get lost and actually end up where I want to be. After two staircases and 3 long hallways I end up in the living room . I sit on the couch shooting Matt and Chris a text that i'm in the living room. I grab the remote for the tv and start searching for a movie to put on . As I settle on slender man I hear foot falls coming closer, I turn to see Matt making his way into the room and over to the fireplace . " it's kind of cold in here right ?" he asks as he stacks a couple logs in the fire place . " Yeah honestly this house is so big I feel like its hard to have the heat go to every room" I say and he nods as he gets the fire started. I hear heavy footsteps coming and turn to see Chris coming in hot . He plops down right next to me cozying into my side making me giggle " what its chilly" he says in that voice him and Matt do making me laugh harder . " so what are we watching? " matt asks as he grabs a big blanket and sits on my opposite side throwing it over the three of us. " slender man" I say smirking knowing neither of them are the biggest fans of scary movies. " oh lovely" matt quips as I click play.
I glance at both of them throughout the movie smiling to myself at how scared they get at specific scenes . There's a jump-scare that just so happens to get all of us as we practically float off of the couch from jumping so hard, we all laugh it off . I lay my head on matts lap as I drape my legs over chris's lap getting comfortable . As the movie goes on matts hands softly run through my hair and Chris hands softly caress my legs , its a sweet gesture on both of their parts but I cant help the dirty thoughts that cross my mind. Having both of their hands on me is making me feel hot and needy but I push my thoughts aside after reminding myself that they are my best friends and its wrong to think of them in that way.
The movie ends and we all decide to go to the kitchen and find something to cook up for dinner since we haven't eaten since this morning. We settle on pasta . I sit back as they whip it up and plate it . We all eat and talk about random shit just laughing and having a good time . As I was cleaning the dishes I got an incoming FaceTime call from nick .
*face time *
Nick- Heyyy what are you up to ? He asks in an excited happy tone
Y/n- Nothing just cleaning the dishes . what about you?
Nick- well I was calling because i was bored and missing you guys
Y/n- aww I miss you too . Is Maddison on stage right now?
Nick- Yeah . Im chilling in the green room until the show ends .... where are matt and chris?

nick nods and I yell for matt and Chris telling them nick is on the phone . They both come barreling in making me laugh

Matt- yeah im probably going to head to bed too , miss you and love you

Y/n - im keeping you on the phone until I get to my room , this house is so big im kinda scared to walk to my room alone
nick- fine by me , how big is the house ?
Y/n- dude .. its massive like so big that me matt and chris are all on complete opposite side of the house
Nick- god damn yeah now I get why you don't want to walk alone
Y/n- yeah its so quiet too .... but look at this hallways it has windows lining it so I can see the snow my whole walk
Nick- wow ... thats a lot of snow coming down
Y/n- I know and the owner said we could be snowed in by tonight , when we got here there was already 6 inches of snow
Nick- oh shit well now im kind of happy im not there
Y/n - yeah tell me about it , its pretty but kinda sucks we won't be able to leave
nick- ohhhh stuck in a house with matt and chris with no escape , im praying for you
we both laugh as I finally reach my room and run to flop on the bed.
Nick- well ill let you get to sleep but ill call you tomorrow night , I love you
Y/n -I love you too . I say before ending the call
I take my socks off before grabbing a book and deciding to go to the sitting room and start a fire and read a little before I go to bed.
I get the fire started and sit on the velvet love seat by the window. The book im reading is about a stalker who watches a girl in her old victorian home and honestly with the room i'm currently in I feel like the main character of the book , she reads her great grandmothers journals in the same chair she sat in when she also had a stalker . I reach a chapter that is filled with spicy and dirty scenes and I cant help but feel a little turned on as I read line by line .
Im fully immersed in the book when the light flicker and go out . I heart drops to my ass as I quickly stand up completely flipping my shit . Im terribly afraid of the dark and with this house being so big its making my fear worse. I snatch my phone up off the love seat and turn on the flashlight as I slowly make my way to the door . I open it to complete darkness and silence . Chills run up my spine as I shine it down the dark long hallway . I decide that i'm going to make a run for it and go to matts room cause there is no way i'm going back in my room and falling asleep . I start running slightly hyperventilating as I keep looking behind me feeling like something is behind me .
I reach the stairs and run down almost falling on my ass but manage not to . I run into the living room then go in the direction I saw Matt go earlier . I reach a door at the end of a long hall praying to god its his room and swing the door open . Im breathing so hard i've started to wheeze . Matt looks at me with terror crossing his face . He immediately gets up running to me . " Hey hey it's okay what's wrong?" he asks in a panicked and confused tone. " T-the power went out and I g-got scared ... I ran all the way d-down here" I say as i'm gasping for air , I don't think i've ever moved that fast in my life. " Well your here now its all okay , come on come sit with me " he says as he pulls me over to a small couch he has in his room in front of a fire place. I wish my room had a fire place in it . He sits down and pats the spot next to him , I sit down and he pulls me into his side holding me gently running his hand up and down my arm thats covered in goose bumps. I melt into him as the fire warms me and I feel nothing but comfort .
We sit in silence until I hear running coming from down the hall startling me . Chris comes running in Looking exactly how I did just moments before . " Guys... my fire went out and it went pitch black ... swear to god I started hearing whispering " he says and me and Matt both laugh. " Why you laughing you came in here cause you were scared to " he says smacking me shoulder playfully . " You got me there" I say smiling . " God its gonna be freezing in here by tomorrow if the power doesn't come back on" matt says and I nod agreeing . " Well have to call the owners Tommorrow if it doesn't ... giving its not looking like anyone is gonna be able to get up here anytime soon" chris says as he looks out the window seeing how much more snow has stuck . Probably a another good 5 inches has fallen since we've been here . Chris comes and sits next to me cuddling in letting the fire and my body heat warm him . Its comforting to know that they are here with me and aren't judging me for getting scared . I honestly felt like a little girl running to go tell her daddy there is monsters in her closet with the way I Usain bolted down here .
We all sit close to each other watching the fire dance , my eyes start to grow heavy and my head keeps falling onto matts shoulder . " Tired?" he asks and I nod looking up at him with half open eyes. " Go lay down i'll be there in a second" he says and I get up going over to the bed getting under the warm heavy comforter and snuggling into the silky sheets. " You sleeping in here tonight too?" he asks Chris and chris says yes because and I quote " if I leave the demons are gonna get me" which makes me laugh to myself . I feel matts weight on the bed as he settles into the other side of the bed , chris decides to take the couch .
I slowly start to fall asleep until I feel an arm wrap around me and pull me into them hardly making me gasp . I look to see Mattâs eyes closed but a small smirk on his face. I put my head back down and snuggle into his warm embrace . Iâm again almost asleep when he grinds into me Iâm guessing trying to get comfortable but⊠I think i feel his dick that im ALMosT positive is rock hard . I hold back the whimper that so badly wants to escape in as he settles .
I jolt back into consciousness when I hear a voice in my ear. âY/nâ it a low gravely voice but I slowly turn to face him , my eyes still closed because i genuinely canât open them right now from how tired and half a sleep I am. â you move so much in your sleep y-you were pressing against me â he says and I pop my eyes open. â Iâm sorry I didnât mean toâ I say as I try and focus my eyes on his face. â itâs okay I just ⊠I know weâre best friends and Iâd never want to ruin that but ⊠fuck you got me hard y/nâ he says in a gravely low tone . â oh well⊠wanna do something about it?â I ask my tone laced with lust. I want him so badly itâs not even funny. â what do you mean?â He asks confused and slowly moving back to try and see my face in the dark room. â do you wanna fuck me mattâ I ask in a teasing but serious tone. I hear him gulp and his breath stutter â yeah I do â he says sounding confident. â then do it â I whisper back as I grab his neck and pull him into a deep kiss. He climbs over me placing a hand around my throat deepening the kiss while his other hand slides into my underwear making me gasp . Itâs get harder to stay quiet when his fingers slip into me and he curls them to hit the perfect spot.
âM-Mattâ I whisper moan as he starts kissing and sucking on my neck. His fingers are still pumping into me perfectly as squelching sounds fill the quiet space. I whimper when he bites down on my shoulder causing delicious pain to spread through me and my orgasm approaches faster. " You gonna cum for me?" he whispers in my ear . I nod as I try and keep my noises quiet and controlled . " Come on be a good girl and cum all over my fingers" he whispers and i'm sent over the edge as a loud squeak escapes my mouth . I come down slowly as Matt removes his fingers putting them in his mouth sucking off my juices with a groan " fuck ... taste so sweet " . I blush as I look over in the direction of the couch making sure Chris didn't wake up . I see no sign of movement or noise so I return my gaze to Matt.
He undresses then helps me get fully undressed . I look down not being able to see very well in the dark room but the fire gives enough light to see the outline of his hard dick in his hand and fuck me its big . " You gonna be a good girl and take it?" he asks with a smirk , I nod "Yes sir" I say smiling waiting to see his reaction to the nick name. "Fuck " he groans obviously liking me calling him that. He slaps his dick on my clit making me whimper . He lines his tip to my entrance and slowly slides in making me groan at the sheer stretch of his size. " fuck you're so tight" Matt groans as I whimper and grab his bicep " M-matt shit " I whine as my grip on his arm tightens. He slowly works into me as I adjust to his size. " Doing so good for me" he whispers and I blush " you're so b-big " I whine as he slowly starts pumping in and out of me. He starts to speed up and his thrusts get rougher. I try so hard to hold in my moans as he pounds into me but slowly fail as they spill out of my mouth. " taking me so well " he praises and I moan loudly . " m-matt feels so good" I moan and he smirks " yeah how about you let chris hear how good it feels " he says in a rough voice and puts my legs over his shoulders pounding into me so hard I scream . 'MATT" I yell out as he hits so deep inside of me that I cant even try and be quiet anymore. " Yeah feel how deep I am" he groans as he looks down at my bulging stomach . " H-holy fUCK" I cry out as my legs start to shake .
I hear movement from where Chris was and look over to see him sitting up watching me over the back of the couch. I gasp as Matt grabs my chin making me look back at him . "Come on Chris Im sure shed love for you to join ... wouldn't you ?" He says smiling in a way that has chills running up my spine . " I - mmm" I don't know what to say to his question , I mean obviously I want Chris too but I feel like there is a right answer to his question . "wouldn't you?" he asks in a demanding tone as he lightly smacks me across the face. " y-yes" I gasp out as I feel my orgasm approaching and my legs start to tremble more. I look back over in Chris's direction to see he's started walking over to us , a smirk forming on his lips . " don't even think about cumming until you're gagging on Chris's dick " Matt growls as he feels me pulsing around him. I look at him nodding in understanding then look back over to see Chris standing right next to my head. He smiles down at me as he runs his hand softly over my cheek and grabs a hold off my hair pulling my head closer to him. He uses his other hand to pull his shorts and boxers down enough or his dick to pop out , I look at it as my eyes widen . He's probably 2 inches longer than Matt making me nervous . " Open up " he demands and I do . He shoves himself into my mouth forcing me to deep throat him making me gag . I cry around him as the pain of holding back my orgasm becomes too much . Matts hand moves to my clit rubbing circles making me buck off the bed and moan loudly around Chris as he abuses my throat with every thrust of his hips. " Be a good girl and cum for me" Matt says as he adds more pressure on my clit , with a muffled scream around Chris my orgasm hits me like train and my entire body spasms .
" Fucking shit , swallowing my dick so good" Chris groans as i'm coming down from my high , tears are streaming down my face as I look up at Chris with blurry eyes. " Fuck you look so good with my dick down your throat" He groans as he lets go of my hair and places his hand on my throat feeling himself as he thrusts in and out. I moan as Matt drops my legs from his shoulders and leans down placing kisses on my chest as he still pounds into me . Chris pulls out of my mouth as i'm gasping for air . Matts thrusts stop and he pulls out " All fours now" he orders and I quickly move onto my hands and wobbly legs . Chris gets onto the bed laying down right under me , his dick inches from my mouth. I take Chris back into my mouth as Matt slides back into me making me moan around Chris . " Fuck" Chris rasps out as he takes a hold of my hair . He uses my hair to bob my head up and down at the pace he wants and also pushes me down as far as he likes . Im gagging and moaning as Matt pounds into me from the back. â fuck such a good little slut deep throating me like this â Chris groans as he shoves me down further. Mattâs hand comes down harshly in my ass making me moan around Chris dick . Drool is dripping down my chin and face as in gagging an couching feeling another orgasm approaching. I have a feeling this one is going to absolutely ruin me . My legs start to shake and I hear Matt chuckle darkly behind me before smacking my ass . â gonna cum for us againâ he tuts as his hand comes down on my ass , I cry out as I try and nod my head . â come on give it to me show me how good I Fuck youâ Matt groans and his words immediately send me over the edge . Iâm shaking back into Matt I accidentally open my throat so much that I fully take Chrisâs length down my throat and my nose reaches his pelvis. He groans loudly as his dick twitches and he fills my throat . â Jesus fuck â he gasps as I come off of his coughing trying to regain my breathe. I rest my head on Chrisâs thigh as Matt still mercilessly ponds into me from the back. â fuck I love this assâ he says as he slaps it a couple times making me moan loudly . I look up at Chris whoâs already looking at me with admiration in his eyes. He runs his thumb over my bottom lip I slowly open my mouth for him to slip it in . I suck his thumb as Mattâs pace starts to falter and his breathing gets louder. â fuck gonna let me fill you up ?â He asks and I nod â y-yes pleaseâ I whine as I grip Chrisâs thigh . Mattâs hands grip my hair harshly pulling my head off of Chrisâs lap as he thrusts hard and deep a couple times before filling me up . He lets out a whimper as he pulls out .
I immediately drop down onto the bed as I rest my upper half on chris's torso . " Jesus Christ" I mutter as I try to catch my breathe. Ive never felt this satisfied in my life , I cant help the smile that spreads across my face. " what you smiling about?" chris asks with a satisfied smirk on his lips . " How fucking good I feel " I answer back making them both laugh. " Yeah honestly best head i've ever had in my life" chris says while he strokes my hair. " Best pussy i've had in my life" Matt says as he lays down next to us . " Im exhausted " I say as my eyes close no longer being able to keep them open . " Shower in the morning?" Chris asks . " Yeah" Matt and i both say as we all fall asleep

Midtown, almost got a place out of midtown, Instead I took a plane out of this town, And missed out on usÂ
~
It was a sunny Saturday morning, as you pulled into your driveway, coming back from the store.Â
Parking the car and getting the bags, you walked up to the door, knocking it and waiting. You were met with your motherâs smiling face as she took one of the bags of groceries from you.
You lived in a small sleepy town, and attended the college there as well, which meant you still stayed with your parents. You were fine with that, you liked living there, and you could forgo the stress and anxiety of having to re adjust to a new place.
This was your home. It always had been.
Of course, you had been on holidays to other places, you had visited the other town, but when it came to it, you had always found yourself back where you started. There was no other place for you, there never would be.
It was the truth, but it held something bitter.
Then again, you had enough going on already, with being in your freshman year, straight out of high school, college life was very different. You had been to a total of two parties so far, courtesy of your best friendâ Liaâ dragging you with her.Â
You had enjoyed them, but it wasnât something you would voluntarily participate in again.
The workload was something that had definitely changed, bogged down with mandatory lectures and assignments, tests popping up like a bad smell, you had more than enough to occupy you.
âSomething has arrived for you!â Your mother said, almost excitedly, âItâs on the table.â
You helped her put away the groceries, walking to your living room, eyes falling on the package sitting on the table. It was somewhat shabbily wrapped, with tape haphazardly stuck on it to keep it together, and a tag pasted on the top.
Picking it up, you pass it from your right hand to your left, feeling its weight, reading the little tag. It held your address, your name and another name you hadnât seen in almost a year.
Your mind ran at a hundred miles per minute, wondering why it was here, why his name was on it. It made no sense to you.
âDarling? Are you okay?â
Your mothers voice snapped out of your reverie, nodding slowly, âIâll be in my room, finishing off a projectâ, you said carefully, trying not to show any sort of emotion as you climbed up the stairs of your house, two at a time, making sure not to drop the package.
Closing the door, you place it on your bed, reading over the tag again, a bitter taste filling your mouth. A name you hadnât thought of in a year coming back now. It was so random, so absolutely unnecessary.
You curled your fingers around the messy brown paper, tearing it open as your mind reeled. The crackling sound filled the silence as the contents of it make itself known to you.
A shoebox.
Itâs dusty, a dark blue colour with a line of red running at its side. There were two holes on either end, lined with metal piping and you could just about make out the nike symbol on the top. You brushed your hand over it, the dust coming off easily and sticking to your fingers.
Why would he send you this?
His name sticks out on the tag like a sore thumb, reminding you of what you lost, mocking you. Always content with where you are, hmm? His voice comes back, as clear as day. Itâs as if heâs standing there, giving you his chesire cat grin as he spoke the words.
Zhong Chenle.
Lifting the lid off the box, youâre thrown into confusion. A cassette player, a pair of earphones, and five tapes. Picking up the player, you smile briefly at the dramatic set up. He couldâve called you, or sent a message, so why did he take the pains of sending you something as old and unnecessary as this?
Then again, it had been a year since he stopped picking up your calls, since you stopped trying to call him. A year since all contact had been cut off, as if he had never existed in the first place.
Sometimes you wondered if Chenle had been a hallucination. An imaginary friend.
Friend.
The questions filter in. Why? It had been a year, so why had he sent you this now? You had finally told yourself you were over it, that you didnât need an answer, but somehow as soon as you did that, you found yourself sitting in your room on your bed with what could be it.
The tapes were numbered in permanent marker in his messy handwriting, from one to five, indicating the order in which they were to be listened to in. You picked up the first, slotting it in the player and waiting.
You didnât know what you were waiting for.
You pressed play. There was crackling, but only for a moment, until it went silent. Maybe this was all a mistake, maybe this wasnât even happening. Maybe-
i] tape 1: you deserve to hate me
Hey
His voice cut through your spiraling thoughts as you froze in place. He sounded the same as you last heard him, a little muffled due to the recording but the same. At the same time he sounded like a stranger. There was silence for a moment again, before he spoke up.
This is stupid isnât it?
You felt the urge to answer, but your mouth went dry. It had been so, so long, and even though you had adequate time to get over him, it suddenly felt as if you were treading unfamiliar territory once again.Â
I-I donât know why Iâm doing this. I think itâs because I feel so horrible, I need an outlet. I guess speaking it into existence and recording it makes is my outlet. Making it all real.
But thatâs fucking terrifying.
You donât think youâre following, confused once again.Â
Y/n
You hear him take a deep breath right after your name, and it sends a chill down your spine, hearing him say your name once again. You had almost forgotten how it sounded.
I donât know if youâll ever hear this, or listen to it. If you donât Iâll actually be glad. You donât deserve to, Iâve been a jerk to you. Iâm sorry. I hope you hate me, I definitely deserve it.
Iâm moving in two months.
The realization hits you, this had been recorded a year ago as well, two months before he left without a word or warning. It was old, he was here when he recorded it.
You didnât quiet know how you felt, not yet anyways.
And you wonât know until Iâm gone.
Iâm moving to Korea, and I refuse to tell you, even if it makes me the bad guy, even if it feels worse, because thatâs my dream.Â
I got signed by a record label after sending them that demo I did âremember it? We both went to the studio together, you listening outside as I sang. You were right by my side, all the time.
Except now when I record this, except when I leave.Â
I refuse to tell you, because the moment I do I know itâll be real, realer than it is now as I say it. I donât want to see the look on your face when I say Iâm going, I know itâll make me want to stay, but I donât want to stay.
You knew exactly what he was talking about, you could recollect that day clearly. There was a small studio a little outside the town. That day, he had booked it for two hours to record a demo, his singing mentor with him and you tagging along.
It had always been like that, the two of you against the world, until, of course he left.
I physically canât stay, I hate it here Y/n. Itâs not for me, I want to get out, that had always been the plan. I want to get out and be free, I want to achieve my dreams. Maybe itâs selfish, maybe I donât deserve a minute more of your time, but I want it all.
Thatâs why Iâm not going to tell you âso I can have it all, at least until I donât have you.
But you, you donât deserve this, do you? Of course you donât, but I suppose youâre the one with the shitty luck, youâre the one who ended up with me and now Iâm going to hurt you.Â
He laughs a dry, breathy laugh. It was half hearted, as if he was trying to get himself to believe the situation was funny.Â
Itâs not your fault I-fuck Iâm sorry.
You heard a click and the tape died off, he had stopped recording there. The first tape was finished, and honestly, you didnât know how to react. One part of you wanted to feel nothing, you wanted to put the player and the five tapes back into the box and send them away, or lock them in your closet to never find them again.
But the other part of you wanted to know more. You wanted to know how he felt, what went through his mind during that time. You wanted to know just how you lost Chenle, the first boy you ever loved.
Suddenly you felt overwhelmed, vulnerable almost. It was as if someone had opened up an old wound and left it open.
You got to your feet abruptly, pulling the earphones from your ears and dropping them on your bed, taking a step away and blinking rapidly. You couldnât get caught up in the past, you couldnât put yourself through that again.
But it was hard when the past was in your present.
Wasted, and all of my regret, I can taste it, If I had a time-machine, I would take it, And make it back to us
~
That night you couldnât sleep.
The box sat on your desk, right next to your laptop, staring at you. You turned around on your bed, looking the other way, only to be met with the white of the walls.
You never liked the colour white.
It was too plain, too open for interpretation. It never had a solid answer. You liked stability, you wanted something permanent. You were the type of person that needed that reassurance.
Perhaps thatâs why you were happy where you were, you didnât find the appeal in starting over, because that meant nothing was certain. You stayed where you were because everything was already laid out for you.
It was like a colouring book in your little town, the lines all set out, everything drawn for you. Change meant you had to sketch everything from scratch. What if you messed up?
Needless to say, it was a good thing you werenât an art major.
âThis is ridiculousâ, you whispered to yourself, sighing at the fact that you were now talking to yourself. You rolled over so that you were lying on your back, staring at the ceiling. The glow in the dark stars shone with their dull green light. You remember the day you had put them up, with Chenle.
You shared a lot of memories with him.
âFucking hellâ, you hissed, sitting up, swinging your legs off the edge of your bed and walking to your desk, sitting on the chair. Rubbing the sleep from your eyes, you picked up the second tape, inserting it in the player and putting the earphones on, waiting for it to begin.
ii] tape 2: milk before cereal
I know Iâm making some terrible decisions, I really do, but if thereâs one thing I stand by, its the fact that milk definitely goes before the cereal.
Why am I talking about this?
Well, because today you came over, Y/n, you came over and the two of us were watching a movie, and in the middle of it, you decided you wanted to have cereal, specifically frosted flakes.
So what do we do? We have cereal because I canât say no to you. Youâre welcome by the way, honestly, I deserve the boyfriend of the year award.
A moment of silence.
No I donât. I really donât.
You bit your lower lip, shutting your eyes. It was the way he switched, the way his demeanor changes so suddenly that made you want to scream. Sometimes it felt like he was telling a story, one you knew and loved.
Only for the next moment to bring you down to reality, reminding you that all stories don't have happy endings.
Anyways, we got the cereal and you objected when I put the milk first, saying that it was wrong, but how? In what way? Here me out Y/n, I shall tell you why Iâm right, even If Iâm not actually talking to you.
You couldnât help but scoff at this, shaking your head at Chenle. He had always had a flair for being dramatic in the littlest ways possible. It was endearing.
Putting the cereal first means it sits in the milk for longer! If you put the cereal last, you can have it crunchy! Isnât that ten times better? Unless youâre one of the devils spawn and like soggy cereal. If so Iâm hypothetically breaking up with you right here right now.
Ah...bad wording. I keep forgetting I have to break up with you. I donât want to, is that selfish?
You deserve the truth, if only I was strong enough to give it to you. Staying silent is so much easier.
Itâs not lying, not completely anyways. Iâm not lying if I donât tell you at all. I suppose itâs a half truth then, with the truth hidden in plain sight.Â
*click*
Lying. Thatâs what he did, even though he spent the last few minutes of the tape trying to justify it, he lied. He trampled all over your heart without a single warning.
You had trusted Chenle, having known him since you were thirteen. He had completely destroyed that trust. Something like that couldnât be fixed so easily, not even if he had sent you these tapes.
Then again, you didnât know why he sent them.
You retreated to your bed, turning away from the tapes, the words and memories they held, facing white once again.
You had met Chenle when the two of you were thirteen, in eight grade math. The boy was failing the class, and one day you found him sitting early morning in class, with his head in his hands as he groaned over some sort of equation.
You had offered to help, and the smile he gave was the brightest one you had ever seen, he was practically grinning from ear to ear. That was the beginning of your friendship, and the two of you were inseperable.
Ninth grade it was confirmed that the two of you were best friends, sitting together, complaining about teachers together, going places together so your parents didnât need to tag along.
In your last year of high school the two of you started dating, and when you had told your parents, they were ecstatic, confessing they had always thought the two of you would end up together.
He was always there for you, every time you needed him. You could give him a call and he would be outside your door. If you were feeling insecure or scared, he was always there to hype you up.
You had been best friends before, you were lovers then, and it was amazing. You loved everything about being with Chenle. You loved everything about him, from his toothy grin to his obnoxiously loud laugh.
You loved the way his eyes sparkled when he had an idea (which, for the most part, were absolutely terrible. Needless to say the two of you got in trouble a lot), when he sang for you when you stayed over, the way he would always make sure you were never cold.
You loved him.
It was written in the stars, you were meant to be, it was the perfect combination. Chenle was the right person for you- the perfect person.
A year later you woke up with him gone, no texts, no warnings. He had just gone, leaving you alone.
Right person, wrong time.
Monday came around sooner than you thought it would, the weekend passing in a blur as you walked out of your first class, spotting Lia leaning against the wall outside your class, scrolling through something on her phone.
She was an exchange student, not originally from your town, but had fit right in. Sometimes you wished you could be like that.
âOh! Youâre out! Listen, thereâs a party on Friday and youâre coming with meâ, she stated. It wasnât a request, it was a fact, you were to go with her. In her own words, âif I didnât exist youâd probably have no social life.â
To be fair, she wasnât wrong.
You nodded defeatedly, walking with her down the hallway, âI assume you want to go because of the cute new guy?â
She glared, but didnât refute your accusation, âHis name is Markâ, she said, âAnd that is none of your business.â
You snickered, âOh it so is, you like him donât you? Is this going to be another one of your crushes?â
Lia was notorious for having a new crush almost every week, being a very flighty person, her mind changed before you could even say her name. This was a bit of a problem, considering you went to her for advice a lot.
Her indecisive nature was not the best for that.
She rolled her eyes at this, âHeâs cute, why not? Wonder if I can get him to dance with me at the party. Youâre going to be my hype woman-â
âAnd the sober buddy?â
Lia ignored that.
âAlso thereâs this new singerâ, she said, handing you one of her earbuds, âapparently he came from here!â
Taking one of the earbuds, you were hit with a familiar voice. It sounded amazing honestly, catchy, everything a song needed, but it was the voice that hit you. You didnât even need to ask Lia for the singer, swallowing the lump in your throat and glancing at her phone, which confirmed your suspicions.
Filling with some sort of dread, your hands immediately went to hold your hand, specifically the bottom where the cassette player and the tapes were. You had been carrying them around with you, as if scared they would disappear if you left them alone.
âIsnât he good?â
You nodded, not daring to answer as you bit your lower lip, âHey Lili, I need to use the washroom so see ya laterâ, you said, handing her the earbud and taking off in the other direction, pushing open the doors to the washroom and getting into one of the stalls.
You had stalled listening to the next tape all Sunday, you didnât even know why, but hearing him sing, that fact that he had actually made it, it struck something in you. You wanted to feel proud of him, but all you felt was bitter.
Was it a coincidence that this new singer had come out- Chenle himself- right when you received the tapes?
Pushing the top of the toilet down, you took a seat, taking the player out and plugging in, you pressed play for the third tape, waiting for it to begin playing.
tape iii] ill miss our dates
Remember when we went for that field trip? Ninth grade? We sat in the back of the bus together avoiding the stares of our teachers when they told us to sit down?
Then they pulled us apart? Yeah, mean fuckers.
Anyways, thatâs not what I wanted to talk about, I just felt like reminiscing for a sec there, but today we went of a date! Well, I mean we got ice cream and then went to the park, but hey, it was fun.
You smiled. He had always jumped from one topic to another without any meaning to either. Sometimes it was a frustrating habit, (you had been on the receiving end of these useless conversations several times, which ended with you glaring at him exasperatedly), but for the most part, extremely comical.
Iâm going to miss that. Iâm going to miss you. Your little smile â have I ever told you just how pretty your smile is? Your eyes light up and crinkle at the sides and its something I donât think Iâll ever forget, even when Iâm gone.Â
You clutched the cassette player, marveling at the irony. He was talking about your smile, but why did you want to cry?
Itâs a month left now, and I want to make the most of it. Tomorrow Iâm taking you to the amusement part and then next week Iâm surprising you with dinner. I guess doing things for you âfor us â makes me feel better, like Iâm compensating.
You deserve the world Y/n, and I want to see that world while youâre happy where you are.
You donât deserve having to deal with me.
*click*
Your eyes burned, because you remembered each of those events. You had been so happy, so overjoyed at them. They burned with tears because there it was again, that reminder that you were destined to be stuck right where you were, because you were that idiot who was content.
But if someone, anyone, asked you at that very moment if you were happy, the answer wouldâve been an outright no.
~
âHey Chenle?â
âHmm?â
âWhy do you want to leave?â
The boy thought about this for a second, before smiling wistfully, âDonât you want to know how it is outside home?â
âBut everything I need is here.â
Your eyes held a question, you were genuinely baffled by his reasoning, the way he was so stuck of getting out. You studied your bewildered expression, shaking his head. âYouâre luckyâ, he said finally, âYou know exactly what you want.â
âOf course I donât, but I know what I need Chenle, and thatâs all around me.â
He shook away his other thoughts, âHey maybe weâll go exploring the world together some day.Â
You blinked, âYou want me there with you?â
He nodded, grinning widely, âI want to take you along, Imagine, itâll be fucking awesome, and hey this time there will be no teachers to separate us. We can even stand in the bus-if weâre taking a bus, that it.â
You laughed, âMaybeâ, you mused, looking back down at your phone, âWhile I donât exactly see the appeal, it would be fun to be with you.â
Chenleâs smile faltered, but he didnât let it fall completely, wrapping his arms around you and sighing, closing his eyes and whispering something just loud enough for you to hear.
âMaybe.â
Why did it feel this way?
Chenle was right- you didnât deserve this, you didnât deserve to feel this way at all. It had been a year, so why did it affect you?
Why was it all happening at once?
You clicked your tongue, eyeing the player with contempt. You felt pathetic for being curious, for still feeling so attached to old news. It wasnât as if it was going to change anything, so why?
Why did you still want to know?
Curiosity killed the cat. You wondered if knowing would somehow kill you.
No one was at home currently, so you sat in the living room on your couch. The items you were trying so hard to ignore were sitting on the small table in front of the couch, as if waiting for you to pick them up once again.
You wondered if you should tell Lia and ask her opinion about the situation. She may not be that helpful, but hell, she could help you burn the tapes if worse came to worse.
Sometimes you wished you had never met Chenle, that your history with him could be erased from your memories. You wished it never existed because fuck, it still hurt.
Taking a deep breath, you steeled yourself and pressed play.
tape iv] firsts with you
Do you remember our first kiss?
We were eighteen, in my room, playing Jenga. That was a year ago, oh god, I canât even imagine, how has it been a year? You were wearing one of my shirts and jeans, your hair was in a ponytail. The two of us were sitting on the carpet on my floor.
You had successfully gotten one of the wooden pieces out of a risky area of the tower, but then it was my turn, it feel to the ground, destroyed.
I blamed you, and you laughed, and our banter continued. We argued and at one point I started tickling you to get you to shut up, because honestly-Jesus Christ Y/n youâre fucking stubborn.
Anyways I ended up on top of you and the two of us were laughing. You looked so pretty, hair messily scattered around your face as you attempted to get out of my hold.Â
I leaned down and kissed you.
Your throat closed up as he spoke. Your eyes stung and you raked your hand through your hair, biting down on your lower lip. The way he was speaking about it, as if he would do anything to go back, it struck something in you.
Because if you had the chance, you would go back as well.
You tasted like that strawberry chapstick you liked to wear. I could tell you were surprised, because you didnât kiss me back for a good two seconds âwhich, by the way sent me into a panic for a moment there.
But then you kissed me, and fuck, it was like everything had stopped. I couldnât think for a second, it was like the world had started spinning around me, and the only thing that was keeping me grounded, was you.
Was it supposed to hurt like this?
You sucked in a sharp breath, fingers fisted the material of your shirt as you tried keeping your composure. You didnât want to cry, but he was making it so, so hard for you.Â
You remembered how it felt when he kissed you, you were legitimately so confused, was he really kissing you? Your best friend, the boy you had loved quietly for so long, kissing you?
Chenle was your first kiss, and it was the most perfect first kiss you could have ever asked for, even if you were on the floor, with random Jenga blocks scattered around the two of you.
The smile you gave me after I pulled away, I wish I could remember it forever. It was goofy as you burst into giggles, and asked me, âWhat was that for?â
I blinked in surprise, wondering how you seemed so normal, when for me everything had changed. I had kissed my best friend, the one girl I care the most about.
I must have looked like a tomato oh god.
Instead of waiting for my to answer, you sat up, pulling me into another kiss. This time it was me who was unprepared. The kiss was messy, it had no structure or plan, but I realized in that moment, that I really liked kissing you, and I wanted to do it more often.
You became my girlfriend.
The wistful tone he was using was starting to affect you. You had loved Chenle, almost too much. You could almost feel that nostalgic happiness you felt that day when he kissed you for the first time, the disbelief and joy that wrapped around the two of you.Â
A wave of sadness followed that nostalgia.
Our first date was so fucking awkward. We were at that little cafe you loved, you ordered a cheesecake and I got a smoothie, and then we sat in silence for a good five minutes.
It really shouldnât have been that painful, considering we knew everything about each other already, then again that might be why it was awkward, I had nothing to ask you about.
So naturally I brought up school and that started it, the two of us complaining about the amount of assignments we had, and Mrs. Choiâs annoying squeaky voice- I swear to god that woman took a second for each word.
But I digress.
Slowly our conversation felt normal again, it was just us, eating cheesecake and drinking smoothies, together.
That wave of sadness crashed down upon you like a tsunami, trying to snuff you out. It felt like you couldnât breathe, you were struggling to keep yourself together. You were struggling to stay afloat, you had lost any leverage you had that was holding you up.
You couldnât fight the waves.
My flight is in two hours. Itâs four in the morning and weâre about to walk through the door and get to the airport, but I wanted to talk to you once again, even if weâre not really talking.
Iâm pathetic.
Youâre sleeping, in your bed at your home, you donât know Iâm going because Iâm the coward that refused to tell you the truth. Iâll be gone by the time you wake up and then youâll know.
Youâll know how much of a waste of time I was.
And then you were angry.
You were angry because he had no right to just come back into your life like this, no fucking right to make you cry. He wasnât even here, but somehow he had managed to make you fall apart just with his words, with his voice.
He had no right to tear your world apart, the little composure you had standing. You had finally accepted the fact that he was gone, you had moved on, and even tried to forget.
But here he was, making sure you could never forget.
You hated how selfish he was, how absolutely fucking oblivious. He had no clue, not even one as to how you felt when he just disappeared from your life, as if he never existed. He had broken you and here he was, breaking you again.
With trembling hands, you stopped the tape from playing any further, angry tears making their way down your face as you flung the player across the room. You had no intention of listening any further, you didnât want to, you didnât care.
Closure hurt more than him leaving.
You buried your head in your hands, letting yourself fall apart, but just this once.
tape iv] continued [unheard]
Iâm sorry Y/n. Iâm so fucking sorry.Â
You donât have to believe me, because Iâm leaving anyways, so I suppose that cancels out my apologies huh? Iâm the worst person you ever met. Iâm not stopping, Iâm not going to leave you a text.
Because I donât want to hurt you anymore.
Iâll be gone before we could ever be.
Shouldâve believed in us, while we existed, cuz now the whole things fucked, and just a figment of my imagination
~
Time heals all hurt, and reminders bring them back, cutting through your skin like a knife, making you bleed.
A week later, you found yourself sitting in your favorite cafe, the same cafe Chenle talked about in the last tape. You ordered a cheesecake and a smoothie, inserting the fifth and final tape into the player.
The last time you did this, you were left hurt and distraught, promising yourself you would never go back to listen to him again. You had put the shoebox in your closet, hiding it behind your clothes that hung from the rack.
Yet here you were.
You didnât bother finishing the fourth tape, you didnât see the need to.Â
This tape, you observed, was newer looking, with less scratches on the plastic, even the marker on the side looked more recent, a little rushed if you went into detail.Â
The cheesecake and drink arrived, and you took a bite, pressing play.
tape v] play
Hey.
He sounded a little different too, older perhaps. His voice was smoother, but he sounded unsure of himself. It sounded as if he was trying to figure out how to approach the topic. He was being cautious.
Itâs been a while. I...I donât know why Iâm doing this. Thereâs no point- youâre not even here. I found these stupid tapes yesterday in my dorm when I was cleaning out and gave them a listen.
Silence.
I envy you, Y/n. I wish I was like you, happy wherever I was. But Iâm not, and I probably caused you great unhappiness while trying to search for my own- but I was happy with you, so happy it was ridiculous.
I sabotaged that.
You sighed, realizing you felt nothing. You were tired of crying over Chenle, you were done doing that. Instead you felt empty, like you had been tired out, like it didnât matter anymore. At this point you were to get it over with, to finish it off on clean ending note.
My song comes out next week, and itâll be done. Iâve made it Y/n, Iâve gotten to where I wanted to be, the place I had worked so hard to get to. Iâve sacrificed so much for this and itâs all been worth it- except one thing.
I donât expect you to listen to my song, I just wanted to tell you. I..I hope youâre proud of me. Even if I was a jerk, I hope you can be proud, at least a little bit, because then Iâll have finally made it.
I miss you.
The same words are at the tip of your tongue, I miss you, I miss you so fucking much, but they never came out. They didnât have to, it would be useless. He would never hear them.
Instead, you swallowed them back down.
And even though I made fun of you for staying home, I hope youâre happy like I am, I hope weâll meet again one day. If we do I challenge you to a game of Jenga, loser buys the winner ice cream.
I-fuck this is the hardest part- but I hope youâve moved on. One of us has to.
*click*
You donât take the tape out of the player, you donât touch it at all. You feel oddly calm as you take another bite of your cheesecake, savoring the strawberry reserve that it came with it. You could almost imagine yourself at eighteen again sitting opposite your new boyfriend.
You missed it, the memories that came along with it. That was it, you missed the feelings you had.
But you were okay. You would be okay right where you were, because thatâs where you belonged. It hurt, yeah, but it had hurt back then as well. Now it was just a dull ache, all that was left was regret.
Regret that it didnât work out, regret over unspoken words and unnecessary pain.
A familiar song filled the cafe as you smiled somewhat sadly, leaning back in your seat and closing your eyes.
âIâm proud of you Chenleâ, you whispered, âBecause you did what I couldnâtâ
You left the cafe a little later, with the cassettes in your bag, an empty plate and the smoothie sitting on the table, untouched. After all, that smoothie wasnât for you.
There was nothing to wait for anymore. You had loved and you had lost, Chenle was a stranger with your secrets and a familiar voice and that was it.Â
You had forgiven him a long time ago, even without him being deserving of it. Now with all the loose ends being tied up, it felt like you could finally let go of him, you could finally move on.
And forget.

Owen Patrick Joyner x Reader
***********************************
âMiss Dinah, let me take that.â
âNo, itâs okay honey! Iâll just put it in his truck. Are you two sure you can take this last load yourselves?â
âYeah! Weâll be fine, itâs like four boxes.â Miss Dinah patted me on the shoulder and left to put the last box into Owenâs truck. It was brand new, and honestly, a godsend for him right now. There is no way he wouldâve wanted to take a thousand trips to move all his stuff in his small car.
âO,â I yelled to him upstairs, âanything else up there?â
âUh, Iâm not sureâŠâ his voice trailed off. I started up the stairs and could hear him pacing in his childhood bedroom.
âThink I should take the extra blanket?â he asked.
âYou took, like, four. You can always come back for it if you decide you want it later. Iâm sure your mom wonât trash the stuff you leave behind.â
He was still pacing but was definitely thinking pretty hard about something.
âItâll be so weird...obviously this will always be home, but now at the end of the day I wonât be coming back hereâŠâ
âThis room will always be here if you need it, and your family is less than 30 minutes away. You can come chill with Bindi anytime you want. Youâre just taking the next step for yourself.â
âYeah, itâs definitely time. This is a good thing, but tonight will be hard to sleep. Ugh,â he sighed and threw his arm over my shoulders.
âLetâs go, y/n - before my mom cries.â
We both laughed and said our final goodbye to his childhood room. Nothing would be the same now, even if the room was still there. His drums were gone, his hats were gone, his photos, everything. We played so many games on the floor of his living room, listened to musicals over and over again in his room, and definitely took advantage of his mom and dad making snacks for us. It was here, in his house, that I cried into his arms when a bully in middle school made jokes about my appearance.
His room was the place I first realized I had feelings for him. We were thirteen and it was in the summer after a day of swimming and a night-time bonfire with our friends. I was allowed to stay the night and we had a blast. The two of us were inseparable and unstoppable. Those feelings never went away, no matter how long we were apart, or how much our lives changed. Itâs crazy to think that those two little energetic, slightly sunburnt kids were leaving the same house years later, still best friends.
Out in the driveway, his mom was talking to a neighbor and we were making sure everything in the bed of his truck was secure before we hit the road.
âGot everything?â Miss Dinah said.
âYeah, Mom, if not Iâll come back during the week. Are you sure itâs okay that Iâm leaving some stuff in my room? I just donât know what to do with it yet.â
âDonât worry about it. Have a safe drive and let me know when youâre finished.â
âWill do, Mom. Love you.â
With a kiss and a hug from Owenâs mom, I threw myself up into the truck and we were off.
*****************************************
There were so many things to set up at the apartment. It makes me glad that it was Owen moving and not me. He has a lot less stuff than I do.
We spent hours setting up closet organizers, deciding how the decorative couch pillows should look, cleaning windows, hanging curtains, folding towels, everything.
Hours went by and we had just finished anchoring a really heavy mirror to the wall when Owen mentioned calling it a night.
âI just canât do anymore today, y/n. I donât even want to put the sheets on my bed, Iâm so tired.â
âLetâs just hurry up and do it really quick and then we can warm up the food your mom sent and watch a movie.â
âUgh, fine. I guess I do need a bed. Crap, what time is it? Do you need to be home?â
âNo, Iâm good. If youâre too tired later to drive, my mom said sheâd come to get me on her way home from work.â
âFantastic. You warm up the food, Iâll start on the bed.â
I headed to the kitchen and started warming up our dinner. I even made some popcorn for our movie later. When I got back to Owenâs room, he had made the bed and was laying on it in total darkness.
âUh, your order is ready..â
âThanks.â
âWhat are you going to do in, like, a day when your momâs food runs out?â
âStarve probably,â he replied sarcastically, âI think Iâll use this magical device called the stove and cook something.â
âRemind me to write down Poison Controlâs number before I go thenâŠâ I laughed.
âHaha so funny. What do you wanna watch?â He said sitting up and scooting right next to me. Owen was so close I could feel his body heat, but I wasnât complaining. It did make my stomach do flips and my heart race though.
âI donât care. Whatever you want.â He knew I meant that and so he picked Baby Driver.
We ate mostly in silence, and then we were laying down, heads touching on his bed, just watching the movie. Laying there with him was probably the closest I would ever get to be with him as anything more than friends. I was fine with that though if it meant always having moments like these.
The movie had 20 minutes left so I reached over to his nightstand for my phone that was charging, so I could text my mom for a ride. I knew Owen was too tired to drive me all the way home.
âHey, no phones during movies. Thatâs a rule,â he whispered as he reached over and put my phone back on the nightstand.
âSorry, I just had to text my mom to let her know she should come to pick me up!â I said, grabbing his arm and play-fighting him for my phone.
We were both laughing hysterically as he tried holding my phone over our bodies out of my reach until my phone fell out of Owenâs hand and onto the floor.
âOh shit, is it okay?â We both reached over the same side of the bed to get it, our bodies completely touching as his chest leaned over my back.
âI got it. Itâs fine.â I hit send on my message to my mom and locked my phone as the credits rolled past on the screen.
âWhat if you didnât leave?â We were both lying on our backs again, but this time my eyes flew over to meet his. I wasnât sure that I heard him or if he said what I thought he had said.
âO, youâre too tired to drive me later.â
âNo, No. I mean what if you just stayed here tonight,â he rolled over to face me, âif you wanted toâŠâ
âReally. Owen, itâs okay. I can have my mom come, itâs no big deal.â
Owen sat up and had his head in his hands. âY/n, I donât think Iâm doing this right.â
âOwen, what are you talking about?â My mind was racing. Could he be trying to say what I hoped he would say for years? I couldnât even think straight and if he kept going I think I might have thrown up.
âGod, Iâm sorry, I just- Iâm very scared to mess this up.â
âYouâre not messing anything up..Iâll stay if it makes you happy, I am totally cool with that, but Iâm stealing a blanket for the couch.â
âY/n, look at me,â Owen said, taking my arms in his hands, âI have- I- Okay, so here it is: I donât want to ruin what we have because youâre literally my oldest and best friend, but I canât keep doing this. I want to kiss you when we have to say goodbye from now on, I want to take you on cheesy dates, and make breakfast together in my nice new apartment. And Iâm sorry if this messed things up between us, but I couldnât hold it in anymore. I have wanted to be with you for years and spending all this time together this year just made me realize I never want to worry if youâre still mine when I leave and come back again.â Owen sighed with what was probably a mix of relief and anxiety.
âI donât know what to say. I-,â I started.
âYou donât have to say anything..â He let go of me and now was sitting further away from me.
âNo, I do. Owen. I have wanted to hear you say that for- god I donât even know how long- definitely years, possibly even my whole life. I never seriously went after other guys because no one could compare to you. Even when you were shooting a show thousands of miles away and I didnât know if you had found someone, I couldnât find anyone who made me feel like you did. I still canât.. So I guess what Iâm saying is I want all those things too. I donât think itâll ruin us.â
Before I could even get up or move, Owenâs lips were on mine. He was so soft and gentle. How was this happening to me? The little blonde boy who played with me in kindergarten, and danced with me in the snow when we were ten, and let me cry into his arms, was kissing me.
He released me from his hold and our foreheads touched.
âHi,â I whispered.
âHi.â
âSo, Iâm staying here tonightâŠâ
âOnly if you want to. We can put The Office on and just hang out. Then tomorrow I have an idea for a date,â he said tapping my nose as he moved away.
âWow, you sure do move fast, Joyner.â
âFAST?! Itâs been like 15 years! I was dying here!â
âYou were dying?! Try having to watch you go off to LA and knowing you would be around so many beautiful people who could steal you away from meâŠâ
âI never could have been stolen away. Iâve always been yours.â He said, planting a chaste kiss on my forehead.
âI guess I should tell my mom not to come. Since Iâm staying with you, do you think we could try that kissing thing again?â I smirked.
âHmm, I think I can arrange thatâŠâ

Thank heavens for GPS, thereâs no way you would have found this place without step-by-step directions. A narrow gravel driveway branched off from the worn mountain road and wound to a homely cabin. You stepped out of your old pickup truck and pulled out the key the realtor had given to you. Buying a house sight unseen wasnât the smartest idea and you second guessed your impulse decision as you took in the dense woods that were so foreign to you. The seasoned wooden boards of the porch creaked under your feet while you made your way to the door and let yourself into your new home. Dust rested gently on every ledge and the frigid January air was lined with a twinge of must from sitting unoccupied for so long, but something felt so promising about the sturdy structure.
A modest kitchen and living room made up most of the house with a bedroom and bathroom on either side of a small hallway. A small, metal woodburning fireplace sat just next to the backdoor and you had a feeling you would end up putting that to good use if you ever figured out how to use it.
Your hand was subconsciously touching the bruise that was prominent on your forearm and when you realized, you pulled your sleeve down to cover it. The decision to leave your family and friends behind was a heart-wrenching one, but you knew you had to make a change if you wanted to heal completely. You needed to do something for yourself, and you wanted a fresh start. A small cabin in the freezing cold woods of Idaho was about as far from what you knew to be normal as you could have gotten, but a seed of hope was planted firmly in your chest.
When a job posting for the assistant city accountant had fallen in your lap a few weeks back, you applied without thinking twice. A few online interviews later, you had secured the job and things fell into place effortlessly, as if some external force was paving your path to this small town. You bought this quaint home with the help of a local realtor, packed your things, and left the only home you had ever known in Arizona, despite the protests of your family. Not knowing what your future held was scary, but something about this place felt right from the moment you pulled in.
You had brought only what you needed to in hopes of making a quick escape, meaning you had only a mattress, some clothes and a few personal belongings. After working for a few years, you had a built up a good savings account and figured it would be easier to buy furniture once you got here instead of trying to move big pieces by yourself. It didnât take long to move your things inside, and you felt grateful that you called ahead to have the power and water turned on so you could shower once you had unpacked what you needed for your first day on the job tomorrow. Anxiety sat like a rock in your stomach, so you skipped dinner and went straight to bed, burying yourself under a mountain of blankets to shield you from the winter chill that had settled in your bones.
Your nerves woke you up well before your alarm went off, so you dragged your feet across the frozen floor and pulled your clothes on quickly before digging through your boxes for some granola bars for breakfast. You leaned against the kitchen counter and began to make a list of things you would need to buy since you were essentially starting from scratch. Double checking the email that you had received with instructions for your first day, you took a deep breath and headed out.
City hall was a historic, two-story red brick building that was shared with the fire department. It looked like something out of a storybook, but then again, this whole town did. You pushed the door open and looked around at the empty lobby, checking your watch to make sure you werenât crazy early. Rustic chairs lined the walls by the door, and a few empty desks were placed behind the tall front counter.
âHello?â You asked, turning your head left and right to look for any signs of life.
âOh!â A muffled voice responded, and distant footsteps quickly scuttled your way from the back room. âYouâre here!â A pretty, dark haired girl gave a few excited claps as she made her way to you. âYou must be Y/N. Iâm Sarah. Sarah Blake.â She eagerly pulled you into a hug which caught you by surprise and she chuckled a bit to herself before taking a step back. âSorry, my boyfriend says that my enthusiasm scares new people away. Iâve just been so excited since I heard they hired you. Iâve been praying for someone my age to come work around here for a long time.â
âDonât apologize, youâre the first person Iâve met in town so itâs nice to see a friendly face.â Her warm welcome calmed some of your nerves.
âThatâs right, you just moved in yesterday, huh?â You tiled your head in question, wondering how she knew that. âItâs a really small town, everyone knows everything, especially when it comes to new people. Youâve been the talk of the town the past little bit.â She shrugged. âWell, Iâm the marketing/PR girl here, and we all just kind of pitch in with working the front desk. Come on back, let me give you the grand tour.â
Sarah led you around the corner and stopped at the first office on your left. âThis is Ellen Singerâs office. Youâll be working under her, sheâs the lead accountant.â She looked at the clock on the wall. âHmm, she should be here by now. I bet her car is giving her trouble.â
A friendly voice called out to Sarah from down the hall and she motioned for you to follow her as she stepped just inside the end office which was significantly bigger than the rest.
âY/N, this is Garth Fitzgerald, heâs the mayor. Garth, this is Y/N.â Sarah introduced you and he stood to shake your hand.
âItâs great to meet you, Mayor Fitzgerald.â
âPlease, call me Garth.â You smiled and nodded. âWeâve been excited about you around here. I think youâll make a great addition to our community.â His phone ringing broke the conversation. âExcuse me, ladies. Oh, and welcome to Wallace, Y/N!â
âNext up is Arthur Ketch, heâs the city planner. Sometimes he can be a little abrupt, but deep down heâs a big softie. Donât let him scare you.â
He was on the phone, so he simply waved to you two as you passed. Sarahâs attention was drawn back down the hall when two police officers walked in. âJody, Donna!â She hollered to them.
âHeya, kiddo! Who you got with you?â The blonde officer sent a warm smile your way.
âYou must be Y/N!â The other responded.
âOh, thatâs right! I heard you were coming to town. Iâm Donna and this is Sheriff Jody Mills. Itâs so great to meet you.â She pulled you in for your second hug of the day.
âEveryone here is seriously so nice. I donât know why I didnât move here years ago!â You joked.
âWell listen, if you need anything, you can always come to me, okay?â Jody put her hand on your shoulder. âWeâre all so excited to have a new face around.â
âThank you. Youâre all making this transition so much easier than I thought it would be.â
Sarah waved to the officers as they left and pulled gently on your arm. âCome on, letâs chat while we wait for Ellen.â She took a seat at one of the desks in the front and you sat across from her.
âThanks for showing me around, itâs nice to know that I have a friend at work already.â Sarahâs eyes lit up when you called her your friend.
âAre you kidding me? Iâve been dying for you to get here. I knew weâd get along.â She folded her arms and sat back in her chair proudly. âSo, where did you move from?â
âPhoenix, Arizona.â
âAnd you moved to Idaho in the middle of January? Are you crazy? I would give anything to go lay out in the sun for an afternoon.â
âYeah, I might be!â You laughed. âI guess I just needed a change, you know? It was just time to move onto the next chapter of my life.â
âI get that. I grew up here and couldnât wait to leave for college, but as soon as I was gone, I missed this place.â
âI can see what youâre talking about. It has a good feeling to it here.â
âSo, now to the juicy stuff.â Sarah leaned forward. âAre you dating anyone? Because thereâs a whole pool of eligible bachelors I could set you up with here.â
âNo, actually I just got out of something kind of messy, so I donât think Iâm really looking for anything at the moment.â
A sympathetic look was sent you way. âIâm sorry to hear that. But if you ever feel ready, you let me know, okay?â
âYou will be the first. What about you? I heard you mention you have a boyfriend. Tell me all about him.â
A smile spread across Sarahâs face and she pulled out her phone to show you a picture. âThis is Sam, weâve been together since high school.â
She handed you her phone and you looked at the tall, handsome guy whose arms were wrapped around her. âHeâs cute, nice work!â She beamed as you handed her phone back. The expression on her face was clearly one of adoration as she looked at the picture.
âWe actually broke up before we went to college. He went to Stanford and I went to the University of Oregon and we figured it would be easier to break it off on good terms rather than fade away in a long-distance relationship. That lasted about two weeks and weâve been together ever since.â
âDo you think youâll marry him? You guys are so stinking cute together.â You werenât sure if you had ever seen a better fitting couple.
âI overheard Sam talking to his older brother about buying a ring. I donât think he knew that I was just in the other room, but Iâll let him try to surprise me.â Sarah giggled. Your conversation was interrupted by someone walking in the back door.
âHey, Ellen.â Sarah greeted. âYour reinforcement has arrived.â
Ellen looked at you with relief in her eyes. âOh, honey, you have no idea how happy I am to see you. Come on back here and weâll get started.â
âHave fun!â Sarah left you to meet your new boss as she went up to help someone at the front desk.
âY/N, youâll have to forgive me for being so late. My stupid car has been giving me hell the past few weeks. Youâd think with my husband owning the only mechanicâs shop in town, Iâd have a reliable vehicle, but here we are.â
âNo worries. It gave me a chance to meet some people around the building. Iâm excited to get started though.â You sat in the chair across from her desk and she plopped down with a sigh as well.
âIâve been begging Garth for two years for some help, so you are a light at the end of my tunnel. Iâm hoping to retire in a few years and hand you the reigns, so letâs get to it, shall we?â
The next few hours were spent introducing you to all of the systems and procedures. After receiving a call from her daughter, Ellen decided to call it a day just after three in the afternoon and the two of you agreed to hit it hard tomorrow. You gathered your things and returned to the front area where Sarah was scrolling through her phone. She looked up when you entered the room.
âHey! How are things going?â
âEllen has to take off, so weâre going to call it a day and just work a little longer tomorrow.â You sat at the desk adjoining Sarahâs and set your things down.
âTake any desk. Itâs just you and me out here. Charlie is the county IT girl and works out here sometimes, but she hops from building to building.â
âWell, I suppose this one is as good as any.â You unpacked a picture frame and a few supplies at the desk across from Sarahâs. âHey, are there any places to buy furniture around here? I only moved with the bare essentials so Iâm in desperate need of a few things.â
âSo, what youâre saying is you need to go on a shopping spree? Iâm in! Iâll drive.â Sarah grabbed her purse and coat and led you out the door.
She took you on a short tour of the staples around town before arriving at the only big box store nearby. You browsed up and down the aisles, pulling all the necessities off the shelf and tossing them in the cart. Youâd have to order some of the bigger furniture pieces online since it was a small place, and they didnât have anything like here.
Sarah had a basket and was creating a good-sized stockpile of her own. âSam has been trying to put me on a budget for a while now, so Iâll have to hide this stuff before he sees.â A guilty smile pulled on the corners of her mouth.
âJust tell him you were shopping with an accountant and I approved all your purchases.â
âHah! Weâre going to be good friends.â She picked up a candle, smelled it, and placed it in her basket.
âWhere does Sam work?â You asked as you looked through the bathroom towels.
âHeâs the lawyer for Winchester Lumber, the sawmill in town. A lot of people work there actually, itâs kind of the main business that brings people in. Samâs great grandpa started it and itâs stayed in the family. Samâs older brother, Dean, runs the place right now, but Iâm sure heâll be more than happy to hand the throne over to their Dad when he gets back. He got cancer a few years ago and they moved to Kansas to be closer to medical treatment.â
âOh, Iâm sorry to hear that. How is he doing?â
âHeâs doing really well, actually. Heâs in remission and theyâre hoping to move back soon.â
The rest of the afternoon was spent checking things off of your to-do list and grabbing dinner with Sarah. She dropped you off back at your truck and you thanked her for showing you around before you went your separate ways.
Back at home, it took you a few trips to unload your haul, but you were just happy to have a few more things to fill your empty home. Your first day had gone better than you could have imagined, and you were filled with confidence in your decision to uproot your life.
Sarah opened her front door and did her best to sneak her shopping bags past Sam and Dean who were sitting in the living room, sharing a pizza and some beers. She successfully stowed her treasures away in the hall closet and joined the boys.
âHey hon!â She placed a kiss on Samâs forehead before grabbing a slice of pizza and plopping down on the couch next to him.
âYouâre in a good mood.â Sam noticed his girlfriendâs chipper energy.
âI made a new friend today.â She took a big bite and gave a smile.
âDonât you already know everyone in town?â Deanâs voice sounded as pessimistic as usual.
âNo, actually. Thereâs a new accountant at city hall, Y/N. She just moved in yesterday.â
âThatâs great! Youâll have to invite her over sometime.â Sam placed his hand lovingly on Sarahâs knee. âWhereâs she living?â
âShe bought a cabin up in the mountains sight unseen, so we went shopping for some essentials. I think she might be kind of close to you, Dean.â
Dean frowned, trying to think of which cabin the new girl would have bought. He moved up there to be alone, so the thought of a neighbor was disheartening. âYou mean that old shack just off of Placer Creek Road?â
âYeah, I think thatâs the one.â
âSheâs got a lot of repair work to do on that place.â Dean shook his head, glad that it wasnât him that put any kind of investment into what he was sure was a money pit.
You awoke early the next morning to find that it had snowed overnight. Growing up in Arizona, you had never really experienced snow like this before. Every breath you took felt like your lungs were filling with ice and you couldnât help but cough, willing the warm weather to find you soon. Winter was one thing you didnât think about when moving to a mountain town, so you wanted to give yourself plenty of time for the commute. After packing a few things for lunch, you stepped outside to find your truck buried in a mountain of frozen powder.
âUgh!â You groaned and threw your head back, looking around for a stick to help you dig out your vehicle. You made a mental note to buy a scraper after work. Ten minutes and one soaked pair of shoes later, you had finally freed your car. You twisted the key, forcing the engine to sluggishly turned over, then blasted the heat on high while you ran inside to change into dry shoes and socks before taking off down the road.
The feeling of your back wheels slipping around on the frozen dirt road was so foreign to you, and you werenât a fan. About two miles away from the main road, your engine began to sputter as it struggled to trudge ahead through the wet snow.
âPlease donât do this to meâŠâ You steered towards the side of the road as much as you could while the truck wound down to a full stop. An annoyed sigh escaped from your lips. âGreat.â You turned the car off and then back on, willing it to start up again, but the clicks of defeat that sounded from under the hood dashed your hopes.
You hadnât had the time to buy a heavy winter coat yet, so you zipped up the light jacket that you had on and began walking. You didnât want to make a bad impression on your second day of work by calling in sick, so you picked up your head and kept going. One of the points of starting your new journey was to be more self-reliant, and this definitely fell under that category. Ten minutes had passed, and your toes were so cold that you were sure they would snap off and rattle around in your shoes at any point now. The sound of an engine coming down the hill made you look over your shoulder to see a snowmobile barreling around the corner and straight towards you. You quickly side-stepped out of the way, but not enough to avoid the kickback of snow that was thrown into your face as the machine drove past.
âSeriously?!â You yelled as you shook the snow from your clothes. The snowmobile stopped and slowly backed up to meet you.
âWhat are you doing up here?â The man abruptly asked as he pulled off his helmet. If you werenât so annoyed and cold, you might have thought he was attractive.
âBeing buried alive by some maniac speeding down the mountain.â You retorted and brushed the snow from your hair with your fingers.
âIâm going to assume thatâs your truck back there?â
âLucky guess.â The wind-chill blew through your jacket and you crossed your arms. âI donât think it likes the cold, and I donât exactly blame it.â
His eyes assessed you. âCrappy shoes, thin jacket, and no gloves. Iâm going to assume that makes you the clueless new girl.â
âWhat an ass...â You thought to yourself.
âI guess it does, Kowalski.â
âKowalski? Really?â
You were surprised he got your reference to Clint Eastwoodâs infamously crotchety main character.
âIf youâll excuse me, I gotta get to work.â You didnât find much point in continuing on this conversation with such a smug jerk, so you continued on your path down the road and heard the snowmobile make a sharp u turn to climb back up the trail.
Ten more minutes later, you could see the main road just ahead of you had been plowed, and you were thankful that you wouldnât have to be hiking through any more ankle-deep build-up. You could hear a vehicle slowly coming up behind you and you made sure to move as far over as you could to avoid being blasted with snow again. The truck slowed to a stop next to you and you looked over to see the same man from earlier rolling the passenger side window down.
âGet in, Iâll give you a ride.â His voice still sported an undertone of condescension and he rolled his eyes when a doubtful frown from you was sent towards him. âJust get in.â
Hundreds of episodes of Dateline should have taught you to not get in a car with some stranger, but you figured that even if he didnât murder you, youâd end up dying of frostbite and decided to youâd rather die inside a warm truck. You opened the door and took off your damp jacket before getting inside.
The manâs knuckles were white as he gripped the steering wheel tight. You placed your hand by the heater on the dashboard in hopes of defrosting your fingers enough to feel them again.
âYou shouldnât drive a pickup in the winter.â His gaze stayed firmly glued on the road ahead.
âUhmâŠâ You dramatically looked around, âarenât we in a pickup right now?â
âYeah, a pickup with chains on the tires and a weighed down bed.â
âWell, Iâm still pretty new at this whole snow thingâŠâ
The man glanced at you from the corner of his eyes. âI couldnât tell. Youâre Y/N, arenât you?â
âShould I be concerned that you know my name?â You raised an eyebrow.
âNo, no,â he must have realized how creepy that came off, âI know Sarah. Sheâs dating my younger brother and she was telling us about you last night.â
âOh, it all makes sense now. Youâre the grumpy older brother. Dean, right?â
Another eyeroll made an appearance, but you could tell he wasnât going to make any further comments.
âWell, I appreciate the ride. Iâm sorry if I screwed up your morning routine.â
âItâs no big deal.â
It wasnât hard to tell that Dean wasnât a man of many words, and you were okay with that. You werenât really one for small talk either. Deanâs eyes moved to your arm that was extended towards the vent blowing heat.
âThatâs a gnarly bruise. Howâd you manage that?â
You pulled your arm back quickly, hoping that your sudden move didnât come across as suspicious. âOh, you know, just being a clutz. They never tell you that moving by yourself is a dangerous game.â You chuckled casually while watching his eyebrows knit together ever so slightly as he glanced at the bruise one more time. No further remarks were made so you assumed he bought your story.
Dean pulled up in front of City Hall and stopped as close to the door as he could get. Before you could reach for the door handle, Dean instructed, âgive me your keys.â
âWhat?â Your face twisted in confusion.
Yet another fed-up sigh escaped from his chest. âBobby Singer down at the auto shop owes me a favor. Iâll get him to tow your truck down and take a look at it.â
âOh.â you werenât expecting such a generous gesture from such a grumpy guy. âI donât want to put you out any more than I already have.â
âHand it over.â The tone in his voice remained gruff, but the bluntness was slightly faded at this point. You reached into your pocket and pulled out your key ring, sliding the truck key off and placing it into Deanâs outstretched hand.
âThank you.â
âDonât mention it.â Deanâs eyes avoided yours and you took the hint that it was time to leave.
The wind blew flurries in the air, forcing you to quickly sprint to the door, meaning that you missed Dean watching you with curiosity. Sarah, who was observing from the front desk, didnât miss his wondering stare. He quickly averted his eyes when he saw her spying and peeled away.
âKowalski.â He muttered to himself with a half-entertained chuckle once he was a few blocks away. Dean would have never admitted it, but he quite enjoyed the witty nickname.
Sarah couldnât stop the mischievous smirk that crept up on her face and leaned on the counter to greet you the second you stepped through the door.
âYou look like youâve had quite the morning.â She greeted.
âYeah, something like that.â You hung your jacket up on the coat rack in the corner to dry and stomped the packed snow from the tread of your shoes.
âAm I going blind or did Dean Winchester give you a ride to work?â She quickly cornered you.
âYeah. My truck broke down and then he tried to bury me in snow, so he gave me a ride.â Goosebumps covered your arms as you made your way to your desk. You had never been more grateful for heat.
Sarah crossed her arms and sat on your desk as you took your seat. âYou know, people call him the Grinch because he moved way up the mountain to be all broody and alone.â
âI canât say I donât understand it. Itâs kinda fitting.â You logged into your computer, but Sarah continued to press for details.
âWell did he say anything on the ride over or did he just glare at the road?â
âA little bit of both I guess. He told me I shouldnât be driving a truck in the winter, but thatâs about it.â
Ellen arrived and cut the chatter short. âHey girls. You ready to get started, Y/N?â
âYou bet.â You stood from your desk, but not before Sarah pointed an accusing finger at you.
âThis conversation is not over!â She warned.
After lunch, Ellen had given you some expense reports to review and organize. It was tedious, but you didnât mind the slow afternoon after a crazy morning. Sarah was helping you to punch holes in the stacks of papers and organize them into departments while the two of you chatted away. The snow had kept most people inside, so it was a slow day at the front desk. Just before it was time to call it a day, the bell of the front door dinged, and Sarah walked over to see who it was.
âHey, Dean. You going over to Bennyâs tonight?â She greeted.
âNot sure yet.â
Deanâs hands were shoved into his front pockets as he stared Sarah down, not wanting to give her any more room to speculate as to why he was here.
âHi.â You smiled softly, trying your hardest ignore Sarahâs curious stare as you joined in the conversation.
He pulled a key from his pocket and set it down on the counter. âSheâs all fixed up. Battery terminals were corroded so I cleaned them up a bit, but youâre going to need a new battery soon. That one doesnât have much juice left in it.â
âOh, I didnât realize that you worked at the auto shop.â You remembered Sarah saying something about Dean working at the sawmill.
âNo, I used to. But I figured it would be an easy fix, so I took a look myself. I stuck some old grates in the bed for some weight. Take it into Bobbyâs tomorrow after work and heâll take care of the rest. He knows youâre coming.â
âWow, I really owe you one. Thank you.â You slid the key from off the counter and fiddled with the metal ring.
âDonât read into it.â Dean tapped his fist on the counter twice before swiftly leaving.
Sarah was biting her lip, and you slowly turned your head towards her. âSpit it out.â You gave permission for her onslaught of questions.
âYou didnât tell me he was going to fix your car for you!â
âHe said he would have Bobby tow it back to the shop and take a look at it. I didnât know he was going to fix it himself.â
âIâve known Dean for a long time, heâs pretty much my older brother at this point, so I can see past all the grumpiness. Heâs a really good guy, heâs just been dealt a hard hand the past few years that made him swear off people.â
That was a feeling you could easily relate to. âHe really went out of his way to bail me out today, so he canât be all that bad.â
âHeâs all bark and no bite. Granted, itâs a big bark.â Sarah checked her watch. âClosing time! Hey, would you want to come back to my place after we clock out? Samâs playing poker at a buddyâs house tonight so I figured maybe we could grab some take out and find some furniture for you online?â
âYeah, thatâd be great actually! It definitely beats the PB and J I would be making otherwise.â
After work, you ran home to change and Sarah stopped for some Chinese food, then the two of you met at her apartment.
Some crappy TV movie played in the background while mostly empty take-out containers littered the kitchen counter. You were sitting on the floor with your laptop on the coffee table, browsing through loveseats while Sarah lay on the couch behind you giving her input.
The door gently swung open and the man you assumed to be Sam walked through. Sarah stood up and stretched before giving her boyfriend a hug.
âHow was the poker game?â
Sam tossed his keys on the counter and pulled off his jacket. âAbout the same as always. Benny won most of the games, Cas still has no clue what heâs doing, and I lost a little too much pride.â
âYouâll get them one of these days. Come on,â she tugged on his shirt sleeve, âI want you to meet Y/N.â
You stood when Sam and Sarah walked into the room. âY/N, this is Sam.â
âAh, the infamous Y/N, Iâve heard lots about you the past day or so. Itâs nice to put a face with the name.â He shook your hand. âHow are you settling in?â
âHonestly, the move has been a lot easier than I thought it would be. Everyone here has been super welcoming and helpful.â
âIncluding Dean.â Sarah gave a knowing look to her boyfriend, who was clearly confused.
âMy brother, Dean?â
âThe one and only. He gave Y/N a ride to work and fixed her truck up for her.â
Samâs face read skeptical. âMy brother, Dean?â He repeated.
âI found myself knee deep in snow and car problems this morning. Iâm sure he helped me out of pity more than anything.â You tried to explain, not wanting to make a big deal of the situation.
Sam rubbed the back of his neck. âWow. I guess thatâs why he was late to work today. Well, I hope he didnât scare you off too much.â
You shook your head with a smile. âNot at all, he really helped me out. But I have to admit, I feel bad. He would barely acknowledge my thank yous. I donât want to come across as ungrateful.â
âYeah, that sounds like him. Donât worry about it. Iâm sure he heard you loud and clear, heâs just hasnât been properly socialized yet.â
Sam finished off the rest of the Chinese and got to know you a little better while Sarah sat next to you on the floor, scrolling through furniture.
âWhereâd you go to school, Y/N?â Sam stacked the empty red food containers together and set them aside as he pulled his feet up on the couch.
âUniversity of Arizona. I didnât originally plan on staying so close to home, but a full ride soccer scholarship is hard to turn down.â
âNo way! Thatâs awesome.â Samâs face lit up with an idea. âOh! Every summer we do this obstacle course race thing here in town as part of the summer festival. Maybe you can be on our team this year?â
âThat sounds super fun! Count me in.â
âYes!ââ Sam made a fist in the air. âWeâve used to win every year, but weâve come in second the past three times, so maybe youâll be our secret weapon.â
Sarah joined the conversation once sheâd had her fill of online shopping. âI was thinking, Y/N, I donât know if youâre much of a baker, but if you wanted to say thank you to Dean, heâs a sucker for a good pie. I know he wouldnât just brush that off.â
âItâs true. Heâs a pie whore.â Sam nodded.
âSam!â Sarah scolded.
âNoted,â you said through your laughs.
The clock in the corner of your laptop screen caught your eye and you realized how late it was getting. âI should probably start heading home before I hate myself tomorrow at work.â
âAt least itâs not supposed to snow tonight.â Sarah teased.
âWow, itâs going to be like that, huh?! Itâs a learning curve, okay?â You stuck your tongue out as you gathered your things.
Sam stopped you after Sarah had said goodbye. âHey, Y/N, I know Dean doesnât make the greatest first impression, but do me a favor and donât write him off just yet. Heâs had a rough go the past little while and could always use another friend in his corner.â
âI wonât. Iâm sure thereâs a great guy buried under all that angst.â You gave a reassuring smile and Sam gave you a hug before you left.
The next day was Friday and between training and helping out with the front desk, the workday flew by. You needed to take your truck in to get the battery switched and Sarah had agreed to give you rides while you were without transportation. After work, you dropped off your truck at Bobbyâs, and Sarah took you home. You were glad for a little time to yourself so you could clean up the house before the first delivery of furniture tomorrow morning.
On your lunch break earlier that day, you had gotten all the ingredients to make blueberry pie bars as a thank you for Dean. Time was in short supply, so you hoped these would be a suitable place holder in lieu of a regular pie. You quickly threw them together and loaded up a plate once they were cool enough. Baking had always been a stress reliever for you, and the way it filled your small cabin with warmth and sweet smells felt so cozy and charming.
Deanâs place was only a ten-minute walk from yours, so you bundled up and began your hike. You had finally gotten yourself a suitable coat and boots and couldnât believe the difference they made as you crunched through the snow that was matted on the gravel road. His cabin was much newer than yours, and considerably nicer. A long staircase on the right side of the house led up to a wide porch. Smoke spilling from the chimney and lights beaming through the windows told you he was probably home, so you knocked on the door.
Clattering of locks being undone broke through the silence a few moments later and an expressionless Dean opened the door.
âHi,â you began, âI just wanted to say thank you for helping me out so much the other day.â Dean stood silent and stone-faced, so you awkwardly continued. âI, uh, heard you were a big fan of pie, but I didnât have enough time to make one from scratch, so I hope these will do.â You extended the plate of goodies and he looked at them doubtfully.
âLook,â a gravelly voice ended his vow of silence, âI donât know what youâve heard about me, but Iâm not looking for any new friends or whatever this is.â He began to shut his door when you interjected.
âListen, this is nothing more than a simple thank you for bailing me out when I really needed it. Iâm not going to force you to eat them, but Iâm also not going to take them home with me. Maybe just wait until Iâm gone before you throw them away though.â You set the plate on a neatly stacked pile of firewood off to the side of the door. âDonât read into it.â You echoed his parting words from yesterday and took your leave. A sneaky glance over your shoulder as you walked away revealed that Dean had picked up the plate and was looking at it with a half-impressed nod. You assumed that was as much of a reaction as youâd get from him and marked the trip to be successful.

And in the end, love breaks through.
Category: Super fluffy one shot
Warnings: Mentions of drugs and addiction, pregnancy, kissing.
Word count: 2,035
A/N: Enjoy this totally fluffy Spencer Reid x Fem! reader one shot I wrote in like 45 minutes. It was so much fun to write and I loved it! If you have any requests please let me know, I need some ideas. Enjoy!
Summary: Some cases are especially hard but love is all that matters.
Your last case had been terrible for all of the team, but specifically you. Everyone had noticed your behavior change but didnât dare say a word. When you were angry, sad, struggling, they all knew it was best not to mess with you. For a girl who was 5âČ3, you were strong and very stubborn.Â
âHey kids. You guys want to come over tonight for dinner?â You were hard at work at your desk and didnât even notice him.
âYeah, Iâll bring Will and Henry. They will be excited to see you all.â JJ said as she finished packing up. They all had agreed to go and you felt a hand on your shoulder.
âHm?â You looked up to see Derek. âWhat?â The whole team was just... Staring at you. âWhat happened?â
âRossi wanted to know if you wanted to come over for dinner tonight. Weâre all coming.â You look at Rossi.
âOh. I wasnât really planning on doing anything so uh I guess. Sure. See you later.â You grabbed your purse and keys and walked to the elevator getting on alone.Â
âIâm starting to worry about her. Usually she has chilled out by now. A nap on the plane and some coffee always helps her.â Emily said to the group standing around.
âLetâs just give her some time. Maybe after she seeâs Henry and Jack tonight she will be ok. Just donât say anything tonight. She just needs a little bit of time.â Hotch interjects. They all agree not wanting to upset you tonight.
***
You pull up in Rossiâs driveway of his house, well mansion. You had to prepare yourself mentally for a night of fake smiles and wine. This was going to be harder than you thought. You walked up to the door, taking a moment to breathe before knocking on the door.Â
âHey kiddo!â Rossi says opening the door, showing you in to the living room. âYou just relax on the couch if you want and I can get you some wine.â You smiled and nodded as he went off to the kitchen, coming back with 2 glasses. He was about to walk away we you stopped him.
âHey Rossi?â He looks at you. âUh tonight, can you just make sure no one talks about the case? I wanna talk to you later about it but Iâm going to end up crying. I donât want them to see me like that.â He nods kissing the top of you head.
âOf course. I love you.â The door bell rings and you stand up.Â
âI got it, go finish dinner.â He smiles as you make your way to the door seeing JJ and her family. âWell if it isnât my favorite preschooler!â You say picking him up. He hugs you as you hold him on your hip. âHey Will,â You pull Will into a side hug. âHow are you?âÂ
âIâm doing well, you?â You reply with a sigh but smile.
âJust happy to see everyone.â He looks a bit confused but JJ tells him not to ask. You set Henry down. âHey, why donât you go over there and play for a little bit so I can talk to your mommy ok?â He runs over to play with the toys you had brought with you. You pull JJ over to the couch and Rossi comes out and hands her a glass of wine. âHey, Iâm sorry about the other night. This case was just really difficult and thatâs not a valid excuse for what I said but JJ I love you and you are amazing at what you do.â She smiles.
âHey, itâs ok. We were all struggling with the case. You donât need to feel bad or sorry. Sometimes our emotions take over, thatâs human. We all know mine have too. Donât worry about it.â You smile, trying not to cry. You moment was interrupted by a knocking at the door. Will gets it since he is right there and walking in is Emily with a bottle of wine and whisky.Â
She smiles at you and sits with you and JJ on the couch. âWell, everyone better hurry up and get their asses over here. I am hungry.â You laugh a little at what she says, making the whole room feel a little better.
âI second that.â you say as half of the team walks in. Derek, Garcia, and Hotch. Then Spencer. You try not to look at him remembering your freak out.Â
âHey Y/N, wanna talk?â You had been brushing everyone off this entire case. he was only trying to help but talking was not something you did very often. not about yourself.Â
âNo, Iâm fine.â You barely even looked up from what you were doing at the time. âCan you pass me a pen?â He sets one down in front of you. âThanks.â
âI really think we should talk.â You ignore him trying to help you. âPlease, something is very clearly wrong. I mean just look at you.â He realized what he had said as you looked him in the eyes. He didnât mean it in a bad way but you were so aggravated, it was the only way you could think of it.Â
âThanks Reid.â He opened his mouth to say something but you talked before he could. âYou know I donât think I deserve that considering you were on drugs and I didnât say a thing. Nothing about how you looked, how that case had affected your work, I held my tongue. All I had tried to do was help you and when you wanted to be left alone I respected that and waited it out.
I was so hurt and alone Spencer. I couldnât even turn to my best friend because he was to busy injecting himself to talk to me.â You got up and left, leaving him there stunned.
âIâm gonna go see if Rossi needs any help in the kitchen.â You place your glass on the coffee table and walk to the bathroom. You couldnât face him after what you had said. You felt a tear fall down your cheek as you looked at yourself in the mirror, cursing yourself out quietly. There was a knock at the bathroom door. You wiped the few tears off your face making sure you didnât smudge your makeup.
âHey.â Spencer was standing outside the door. You smiled softly and looked at the dinner table from what you could see and saw the dinner ready and people sitting around it.
âI think dinner is ready.â You walked past him, JJ handing you your wine. You hadnât even said hi to Derek and Garcia. âHey.â Derek out his arm around you before sending you off to Garcia for a big hug. You sit down next to JJ and Emily.
âHey kid, donât worry about it. Sheâll come around.â Derek and Spencer had sat on the other side of the table as far down as they could. You wanted to be next to Spencer but you couldnât. You hurt him and you knew it. After dating for 4 years, this was the first time you had actively avoided him. You felt like shit for doing it but couldnât bring yourself to even look him the eyes, let alone sit next to him.
***
Dinner had gone smoothly. No one asking or talking about the case, just fun and food. But as dinner started to wrap up you felt nervous.
âPlease excuse me. I need some air.â You got up to go stand outside on Rossiâs patio, needing to breathe so you didnât have a panic attack, something that had happened all the time for you. You were just looking over the railing, taking sips of your wine when you realized someone was with you.
âIâm sorry.â You looked at Spencer. âIâm so sorry. Really Iâm so sorry. I donât know what got into me Spencer. Something took over me.â Your eyes became full of tears. âWhat I said was totally out of line and horrible and I havenât thought about anything since. I felt, feel, like shit for what I said. I didnât mean it, Iâm so sorry. I couldnât even look you in the eye after that because I wanted to scream at myself for what I did. Iâm-â He interrupted you apology.
He kissed you deeply, the way he did when you were positive he loved and cared about you. Your arms wrapped his neck, your hands and fingers tangling in his hair. You pulled away.
âI take my apology is accepted?â He laughed and smiled, his forehead on mine.
âOf course, and when you are ready to talk, Iâm here.â You hugged him, something you had been wanting to do for days. He let you go and stepped back, sticking his hand into his pocket. He pulled out a black velvet box and got on one knee.
âY/N Y/L/N. I have loved you since the moment I met you. 6 years, 7 months, 436 days and 26 minutes since the moment I decided, that girl has to be mine. When we started dating I felt like I was constantly walking on air, even in the toughest cases I knew I would always have you. Whenever something happened to you I felt like I couldnât breathe. Like that if something happened to you I would never forgive myself for not asking you sooner. I love you Y/N. Will you marry me?â The tears that had pooled in your eyes suddenly spilled out as you nodded your head yes.
âYes! Yes of course. I would love to marry you.â He smiled and put the ring on your finger, picking you up for a kiss. You felt weightless. This was it. You had the love of your life in your arms. He wiped the tears from your eyes. âSpencer Reid, I love you.âÂ
âI love you too.â You stood there for a moment longer. Your fingers interlocked as you walked back into the dining room together. Your foundations was messed up from the tears the once sat on your face.
âY/N are you ok? Spencer what happened?â JJ exclaimed seeing us walk in.Â
We looked at each other before he held up my hand. âWeâre getting married.â The smiles and congratulations broke out. Lotâs of hugs from our team around us and of course for Henry and Jack. The smile from your face didnât fade the rest of the night.Â
***
Derek started his toast, just having to embarrass me and Spencer during it of course. âWhen the two of them met, they couldnât keep their eyes off of each other. I mean Spencer was just staring at her all the time! Bringing her coffee, giving her random facts, he was just lost in her. And Y/N wasnât any better. You would think that she had known him all of her life when they met. She never cared for anyone more than him. Trying to protect him from unsubs, helping him through life. She just wanted him to have the best.Â
And now here we are, a beautiful woman and her husband. I donât think Spencer could have gotten any luckier. And as for Y/N, she better hang on there.â He made everyone laugh. âAll jokes aside, congratulations to the happy couple. We couldnât be happier for you. We love you all very much.â And with that he sat down.Â
You stood up. âI want to thank everyone for being here to watch me be wedded to this amazing person. I couldnât ask for a better husband however I am very disappointed.â Everyone looked confused. âYou all know how much I love alcohol, champagne especially. But to my team, you need to get a profiling refresher course because I have not touched my glass this entire night.â JJ gasped.Â
âOh my god!â The team and my family looked at her confused. âGuys! Y/N is pregnant!â Your smile grew even wider. Spencer looked at you.
âYouâre pregnant?â You nodded. âOh my god. Oh my god! Iâm going to be a dad!â He stood up and cupped your face kissing you. In that moment, you knew everything was clear. You had a family.

âI know you, Harry Stylesâ
Summary: Your boss asks you to quarantine at his house to watch over the place and his dog. He then calls you let you know a friend of his has gotten stuck in Los Angeles and needs a place to stay, so he has offered his friend the home that you are also going to be staying at. His friend is Harry Styles. Harry and you get to know each other while you both navigate through this uncertain time.Â
Iâve had this idea for awhile and im sorry if itâs a little late now, since strict quarantine has ended (lowkey might be coming back since california has been getting bad again), but still i really liked this and wanted to write it. Also look at how cute this sidelook from Harry is in this gif ^^ :) his nose is so slopey
It hasnât been the easiest write so no worries if yâall hate it. I might do a part 2, but def no part 3 this time, unless it gets easier to write.Â
Word Count: 4.5k | Warnings: mentions of quarantine and Coronavirus (pls take care if the situation is triggering to you), language, drinkingÂ
Enjoy! (Feedback appreciated as always)

You werenât sure what to say, you didnât want to break that bliss of him not knowing you knew. âI,â you took a sip of wine, trying to gather a bit more courage, you then laugh meekly, âI, uh, know what you do.â
âDamnâŠâ he said. Harry also took a sip of wine, his Adam's apple bobbing as he swallowed the gulp. âI was still debating whether Iâd say that I was a musician or an accountant, yâknow, something random.â You smiled, Harry was funny, you decided.Â
âYouâd lie to me?â you said, a hint of flirtation behind your words.
âOh no, never.â
-
You were living in Los Angeles when the Coronavirus outbreak first arrived in the United States and California went into quarantine. You lived in a pretty small apartment in Silver Lake and you werenât excited to be cooped in there, alone for at least the two weeks they had just announced. The governor issued that everything would be shut down by morning and you had to admit you were a little stressed. Just as you were about to walk into your apartment and lock the door, ready to shelter in, your boss and friend of yours called.
âHey Y/N,â David said quickly over the phone, âYou know how Iâve just left for England two days ago and Iâm already here. Well, since Iâm not a U.S. citizen, I canât come back. Which is fine, but I was just wondering if youâd mind quarantining at my house and just watching over it? Until I can get back?â
You sighed, âOh my god, David. Iâm so sorry.â âThe U.S. announced their border closure so strangely, I couldnât have known...But itâs fine, really, Iâm actually kind of happy to be home.â You nodded as if he could see you.
âSo do you think you can do it? Iâve been having my neighbor check in on my dog, daily, but Iâd prefer a friend to be at the house with him right now.â
âOh! Yeah of course, Iâll pack a bag and head over right now. Iâm honestly relieved youâve given me this offer. Youâre house is fucking huge and my apartment is tiny.â David chuckled at your slow response but happy tone.
You were right, David did have a nice house. His place was up in the Los Angeles Hills, a place heâd inherited from a wealthy grandparent. It was definitely going to be an upgrade for quarantine. Davidâs place would make it easier to be alone because of his cute little dog around, a swimming pool, a beautiful kitchen, literally anything you could have asked for. Â You drove up the long driveway, to the rustic house, David refused to call a classic 70âs mansion as much as you insisted upon it.
âGuess it doesnât matter what I call it now, huh.â You said to no one. You pulled out your spare key, David had given to you for emergencies when you had started working directly under him. You opened the door and stepped inside to the empty mansion. Checkers, Davidâs dog came running up to you, pawing your legs and howling his tiny voice at your arrival. You smiled, setting down your bags and grabbing Checkers from the ground. âHi, baby!â You swung him around and he licked your face adoringly. You ruffled his fur and then placed him back on the ground, he wasnât more than eleven pounds.
Then you went to find your bedroom. You heard your footsteps echoing throughout the empty house and it definitely felt weird. Being alone, in this big house. You wondered why you had to keep convincing yourself it was so great. Then your phone rang for the second time today. David again. You threw your bags at the foot of the guest bed and walked back through the house to the main room adjoined to the kitchen, near the front door.
âHello?â
âAh, Y/N, thanks for picking up! And thank you for agreeing to watch the house -â
âYeah, of course, Iâm just settling in.â
âThatâs great! But, I hope you donât mind, a friend of mine has similar luck to me. He was just supposed to be in Los Angeles for a couple days, but heâs gotten stranded there and has nowhere else to go. Heâs a good friend of mine and the house is most definitely big enough for twoâŠâ He trailed off, slightly anxious to put you out, when you had already been generous enough to leave the comfort of your own place during this stressful time. âSo, I told him he could stay at mine, if he didnât mind living with a stranger.â
âIâm the stranger?â You asked, slightly confused from what David was saying.
âYeah, yeah I mean, I told him you were a friend and that you worked with me, obviously.â You laughed with some relief, âOk, Iâve got you. Thatâs fine, more than fine, heâs got nowhere to go, itâd be rude of me to say no to him joining me in this mansion,â You got a little excited and emphasized the mansion.
David groaned, but finished, âWell, great! Because Iâm pretty sure heâs already on his way. Bye!â The line went dead.
You wouldnât say you were unhappy that you were going to be sharing the house. The loneliness of the empty house had grown daunting the minute you heard your footsteps. But you realized David hadnât even given you the name of the man you were going to be living with for supposedly the next two weeks. As well, what if you and the man didnât get along and were at each otherâs throats for two weeks.
You shook the thoughts from your mind, trying not to make any presumptions. Then, you began to put away the groceries you had brought with you from your apartment and refilled Checkersâ water bowl.
Maybe twenty minutes after your phone call with David, informing you of your quarantine housemate, the doorbell rang and you jogged lazily to the foyer with the grand front door.
In front of you stood, a man with mop of dark brown hair on his head, some large green eyes, a nice outfit, and an array of tattoos peeking out from under different parts of his clothing. Wait- you thought - this isnât some random tall, good-looking white guy. And then it dawned on you. David would be close friends with Harry Styles. This is so typical of that man. And for him to never tell you that before. That is especially David, trying to keep this guy all to himself.
âHi, Iâm Davidâs friend, he said heâd call ahead and let you know, Iâm âArry,â he rested one of his bags on the ground and reached out to shake your hand. You blinked your eyes, still a little surprised at who your roommate was going to be, but determined to be chill about it. You then reached out your hand to meet his. You took note of the largeness of his hands and how soft they were. His hand slid perfectly in yours and his eyes intensely gazed at you in the hallway.
âYeah, he called, Iâm Y/N.â You released his hand after realizing you still had hold of it, just a touch too long. You stepped aside to let Harry bring his things into the house. âDo you need any help with your bags?â You asked quickly, not wanting to seem rude. Harry turned to you as he had just stepped into the house and was exactly beside you, he quirked his head, âOh no, Iâm alright, no need to worry about me.â
âOkay,â you simply responded and walked back into the kitchen. You had left your phone in there and still had some things to organize, David didnât keep his house as clean or organized as you liked it. You always set to work around his house whenever you came by, no matter his protests. Music was playing from your phone over the bluetooth speakers David had in the house, a mix of random songs for the month that you had compiled a couple weeks ago. It was a mix of your favorite artists: oldies and some newer stuff. You turned it up as you got to work.
Your music played loud enough that you didnât hear Harry walk into the kitchen. âHey,â he said. Startled, you flipped yourself to face him, discarding the box of cereal you were moving to be with the other cereals.
âWhatâs up?â
âI know we donât know each other,â Harry started. You werenât exactly sure where he was going with this. âAnd Iâm fine if you donât want to really interact, but I was actually kind of excited to find out that I wasnât going to have to be all alone in this house for two weeks.â
Your lips quirked up in about a half smile as a soft chuckle came out. You rested back on the countertop behind you, feeling more relaxed at the rest of Harryâs statement. Harry stared at your figure still taking in the stranger in front of him. You seemed fairly laid back and he liked the music he heard from the speakers, assuming it was your selection.
âOh. Yeah,â you began, scratching your head, âI know, I was excited to not have to be in my apartment, but then when I got here I got lowkey scared of being here with just myself and Checkers.â
âWait, Checkers is here?â Harryâs mood and tone immediately picked up, looking excitedly around for the little dog. âI think heâs outside,â you said, crossing to one of the many back doors. You called for Davidâs dog, you and Harryâs third roommate, and he came leaping through the door.
He ran to Harry and Harry knelt to grab the dog and pick him back up. He twirled Checkers around over his head and kept repeating âWhoâs a good boyâ before placing the dog on one of the couches. On the couch, Harry playfully flipped the dog on his back and scratched his belly. Checkers wiggled and opened his mouth trying to nip playfully at Harry. Harry in turn put his head right near Checkersâ and shook his own fluffy hair in the dogâs face. Checkers went wild, loving the attention he was receiving.
After a bit, Harry let Checkers go and stood up, you had been watching on amusedly, âGod, I love this dog, so fucking cute,â he said. You were surprised Harry knew David well enough to know his dog, but you dismissed it. Then, you laughed and agreed with him.
âWell, do you want to get to know each other over dinner tonight?â Harry inquired as you walked back into the kitchen, still trying to finish your self-given task of cleaning it up. âSure, why not?â
-
It was the dinner time you and Harry had agreed upon. You had showered and unpacked over the past few hours. Harry, from what you knew, had done the same. You two hadnât talked much more since he had suggested the dinner. The guest room he had chosen was on the second floor, like yours, just down the hall. After checking the time on your phone, you left your room and went downstairs. You found Harry on the couch with Checkers, reading a book. You tapped his shoulder from behind the couch and he turned his head to look up at you. âWe said 7, right?â He snapped his book shut after raising her brows, coming out of a reading trance. âOh, yeah,â he responded, rising from his seat and heading to the kitchen. You followed after him, âSo what do you want to eat. I brought some groceries with me so we could cook something or thereâs always take out.â
Harry opened the fridge, âLetâs make something, yeah?â He leaned back from the inside of the fridge and threw a smile to you over his shoulder. He was very confident and charismatic in person you had noticed just from the few odd moments you had spent with him already. You liked his music and felt like you should tell him you knew who he was, but you also liked the feeling you got that you were just two normal people living together for a little.
âAlright,â you began, walking to his side to look into the fridge as well, âAny requests, Harry?â
You looked up at his face, he was quite tall, taller than you had really thought. He was a really big figure up close, slightly intimidating if you were being honest. He simply demanded attention just with his presence, something strong emanating from him. You could see that strength in the lines of his jaw, lined in stubble, his green eyes set deeper in his head, the sinews in his neck. In every part of his body, there was strength, yet he spoke with a kindness about him. You were extremely interested in getting to know more about him, for this very reason. How could such a big, intimidating man in size and presence be known for being so kindhearted and in touch with himself and the world? What was his secret?
Harry simply began to remove various items from the fridge, placing them down on the island behind the two of you. He only said in response to your previous question, âLike Mexican?â You nodded and laughed, youâd grown up on Mexican food.
âI was thinking fajitas would be good, what do you think?â
âYeah, absolutely, how can I help?â
Harry grinned at your attitude, he could tell you were the really fun, easy-going type of person. He was glad you werenât being weird with him, even if he was a stranger. He finished taking the ingredients from the fridge and then gave you instructions on what he needed help with. The two of you set to work, this time it was Harryâs music playing over the speakers.
-
You sat at the dining table in the next room over from the kitchen and seating area. Harry had told you to go ahead as he finished your plates of food. Moments later, he walked into the room holding the plates. âTa-da!â He exclaimed while presenting the two plates of food, that looked admittedly, very tasty.
He had changed his outfit from earlier and you were just now noticing. Earlier, it had been a striped dress shirt that he had dressed down with rolled up sleeves and half of the buttons undone, revealing a nice string of pearls, with navy high waisted trousers that cinched at his slender waist. Now, he was in a simple purple knit sweater and brown corduroy flares, still wearing the pearls around his neck. Neither of you were wearing shoes, both wearing only socks. And while Harry might consider that to be a more casual outfit, you were in leggings and a hoodie with a sun on it that you had thrifted awhile ago.
He sat down across from you after placing one plate on the placemat in front of you. The dining table was huge, meant for dinner parties and entertaining, not a traveler and a young employee. You took a bite and hummed in appreciation, but then said, âWait.â
Harry stopped eating and looked at you, concerned there was something wrong with his cooking. âRed wine,â you stated. Harryâs worried face grew into a grin. âRed wine,â he echoed in agreement and nodded his head. You hopped up from your seat and ran into the kitchen, looking for the cabinet David kept his wine in.
After finding a reasonable Malbec, a favorite red of yours, you grabbed an opener, two glasses, and went back into the dining room where the munching Harry awaited. He was happily chewing his food as he gazed at you as you placed the glasses between your plates, uncorked the bottle with ease, and grabbed the glasses once more to pour the wine.
Finally, you sat down and said, âTo whatever the fuck we are about to get ourselves into.â Harry laughed and offered a âSaludâ in response. The two of your glasses clinked and you both drank, afterwards setting off to eat your food.
As you ate, you began to talk. Harry started, âSo, you work with David?â while taking his fork and stabbing at a cooked bell pepper slice. You finished chewing, âAh, yeah, heâs my boss. But we work pretty closely, Iâm kind of like a personal assistant, but I do more than just his scheduling and errands.â Harry nods.
You werenât sure what to say, you didnât want to break that bliss of him not knowing you knew. âI,â you took a sip of wine, trying to gather a bit more courage, you then laugh meekly, âI, uh, know what you do.â
âDamnâŠâ he said. Harry also took a sip of wine, his Adam's apple bobbing as he swallowed the gulp. âI was still debating whether Iâd say that I was a musician or an accountant, yâknow, something random.â You smiled, Harry was funny, you decided. âYouâd lie to me?â you said, a hint of flirtation behind your words.
âOh no, never. I wouldâve definitely just told you who I was if you didnât know, but itâs nice to pretend for a little.â He grinned as he said the words, his elbow resting on the table with his wine glass in hand. You ate some more, letting his words linger in the air. Itâs nice to pretend for a little.
âWell,â you finally said, âI wonât give you any special treatment, if thatâs what youâre implying. As far as Iâm concerned, youâre just a guy staying at the same house as me. Doesnât matter to me what you do to pay your bills.â
Harry liked that. You were very intriguing, the way you spoke to him. Especially now that he was sure that you knew about his music and celebrity. âYou make it sound like Iâm a sex worker or something naughty!â he said, feeling more comfortable with you with the more time that passed and the more wine he had.
âItâs kind of the same thing...providing a service - that your body is an essential part of providing it properly.â You stated smugly, looking over at Harry from behind the rim of your glass. âAnd thereâs nothing wrong with sex workers,â you added.
âYouâre right,â he stopped, wanting to continue the conversation, but confused how to move on from sex workers. âSo what do you think of my music?â
âI thought you wanted to be treated like you werenât a celebrity,â you countered.
âThatâs out the window, câmon,â he said, leaning forward.
âYou just want me to boost your ego,â you smirked, liking the banter that was coming so easily between you two, âLike I said, I know you, Harry Styles.â
He scoffed at your teasing and rolled his eyes. He wasnât actually annoyed, he was enjoying this. âThen youâre a fan, huh?â Not letting it go without you saying how you felt about his music.
âFine,â you sang slightly, shifting in your seat. âYour music,â you paused again, enjoying Harry eager to hear your opinion and you being in control, âis better than a lot of other modern stuff considered good by todayâs standards.â
âSo you like it?â He said slowly. That was probably the most roundabout, vague compliment he had ever heard. He picked at his almost empty plate, still staring at you.
You tilted your head and placed it on your palm, looking to the sky as if you were thinking about his question hard. Finally, you shifted your head in your palm so you were looking at Harry wearily. Then you shut one eye and said, âI guess,â before shrugging your shoulders as if you didnât care at all. Harry let a single blow of air out of his nose, like a short laugh, before standing and taking both of your plates. As he walked out of the room he whistled lowly, âYou are such a tease, Y/N.â
He disappeared into the kitchen and you heard him cleaning up. You were about to call out to him and say how he didnât have to do the cleaning since he did the majority of the cooking, but then your eyes fell to the half drunk bottle of wine. Normally, youâd re-cork it and drink the rest at a later date, but it was still early in the evening and you and Harry literally had nowhere to go. Also, the two of you hadnât gotten past the work question of getting to know you. There was still a bit more to learn about each other and you were happy to continue to discuss over wine.
Harry reemerged from the kitchen and you held up the wine bottle to him and waved it, âWe need to finish this.â
âHave I told you yet that I like the way you think?â Harry walked over and grabbed the bottle from your hand. He quickly poured both your glasses much fuller than the usual standard glass of wine. When you eyed him curiously about the heavy pour, he only shrugged practically saying itâs just us drinking it who cares if we fill up our glasses extra full.
âNo you havenât, but I like the way I think too! Iâm very smart you know,â you said with some play in your voice as you walked through a doorway that led to the sitting room. Harry trailed behind, bringing the now less than full bottle with him. You both sat yourselves on the couch, a fair amount of space between the two of you, not too close, but not too far apart either.
You both took long gulps of the wine. You were starting to feel a little warm from it, but you enjoyed where the wine was taking your conversation so you werenât planning on stopping. Harryâs big green eyes squinted slightly at you from behind his wine glass, similar to how you had done earlier. He lowered it and licked his lips. There was definite tension between the two of you right now. Maybe you both had realized the implications of being alone with a stranger for two weeks with no interruptions and no distractions. Whatever it was, it was intoxicating because all you wanted to do was keep teasing Harry and have him keep baiting you.
Harry asked a question suddenly, breaking the silent staring that had been going on. And the tension was broken the two of you continuing your getting to know you for the rest of the night. By eleven, the bottle was empty and forgotten on the coffee table and you and Harry had scooted closer. You had similar likes and dislikes when it came to music. You talked about fashion and what it was like to get to wear top designers all the time - Harry being the wearer, not you sadly. You asked him what it was like to tour and he asked you more about your job and living in Los Angeles, how it was to not walk around the place and be bombarded with people. Then, you circled back to travel.
âIâve been lucky enough to travel a lot in my life, too. I traveled with my family as a kid and I made sure my job would have me traveling around, too.â
âOh, yeah?â Harry took the last sip of his wine and set the glass down, readjusting himself to lean on his arm on the couch, looking at you.
âWas supposed to be with David in England, actually, but I got held up and was going to join him next week,â you mused, finishing your wine as well and leaning your body so your back was fully against the back cushion.
âNo way, I was supposed to leave next week, too. Who knows, maybe we would have been on the same plane and crossed paths like that without even knowing,â Harry said excitedly.
You rolled your head to the right and looked at his face, how it had lit up at that unlikely prospect. âYou probably wouldnât have known, but Iâm sure I wouldâve been able to tell, probably have a whole crowd of fans there waiting for you, end up having to delay the plane for yaâ. And Iâd be sitting there like âwhich famous prick is holding us up?â
âOi!â he swatted at your leg closest to him, âHas anyone told you youâre a bit mean.â
You raised your brows at his physical contact and his words. You shifted to your side again and slid your legs beneath you, looking directly at Harry. âYes,â you said seriously.
Harry laughed at that. At least you were honest, and you were funny, too. You joined his laughter, it felt contagious, the way his voice was so loud, but so jovial. His eyes managed to twinkle even as he squinted, his smile taking over his entire face.
Without either of you noticing, the two of you had shifted extremely close to one another. You finally realized because you felt Harryâs breath fanning over your face. His breath smelled of Malbec, but his over scent mixed with it and turned it into something enticing. You wanted to lean in more, but the only place further to go was his lips.
Harryâs eyes flickered to meet yours, confused yet delighted about the situation he had somehow gotten himself in. The two of you breathing in each other, chests heaving from laughter, hearts beating from wine, and bodies ready to ignite the minute they touched. You remained there for a few moments more, basking in his glow.
And then you whispered, âI should go to bed.â You pulled away and retreated upstairs to your room. Harry was left there, sitting stunned at the whole situation. How had that happened? And what had you just stopped from happening? Â You were thinking the very same things as you sat down on your bed and calmed your breathing.
This was going to be a long two weeks.

First Time for EverythingÂ
A classic rock song plays overhead. Thereâs a dull roar of voices overlapping in the sports bar. Itâs dimly lit, with deep red walls and a black ceiling. TVâs playing different ball games are over the bar. Itâs Santiâs birthday, and this place has his favorite wings.
He was ready to get a to-go order and spend the night with you, but the guys wanted to come hang out and buy him dinner.
So thatâs how you ended up sitting in the middle of the restaurant at a tall table. Tall enough that your legs dangle from the bar stool. Itâs not your first preference. If youâd could pick, itâd just be you and Santi alone in a booth in a corner. Or better yet just you and Santi home alone and naked.
Itâs not that you mind the guys company. You enjoy being around them. They treat you like one of their own. Youâre an extension of Santi and they respect you. You make him happy, and he makes you happy; and that makes them happy.
Santiâs hand rests on your thigh as a comfort. He knows being out in the middle isnât your favorite. He only removes his hand to eat his meal. But heâs right there and thatâs enough to bring your comfort.
Thereâs no keeping it a secret itâs Santiâs birthday, Benny told the waiter something like 8 times. A free dessert will be brought out once the meal is over. All Santi does is laugh, and hey heâs not complaining.
Your husband is a happy man tonight, you pat his tight stomach when he leans back in his chair, full and content. He grunts a little, as it tickles him. Heâs about to lean in to kiss you when you swipe a bit of sauce from the corner of his lips.
âWhat did you get Pope for his birthday?â Benny asks with an obvious tease in his tone.
âI havenât given it to him yet,â you play along, your face heating anyway when Benny smacks Santi on the back. âThereâs something else that he doesnât know about yet,â you add in.
Santi raises an eyebrow, his hand back on your thigh. His palm warm on your bare skin, and his pinkie finger just under the hem of your shorts. Will and Frankie share a surprised look from your comment.
âGuys calm down Iâm not pregnant,â you laugh.
Santi leans in for a kiss, and presses another to your cheek.
âDo you wanna be?â he murmurs in your ear. You donât have time to answer because the dessert is brought out and a group of singing wait staff crowd around the table. Benny sings loudly along with them, and Frankie can only shake his head with a laugh. Will takes a swig of his beer but joins in the singing. You sing too and plant a big kiss on your husbandâs cheek as the dessert is set in front of him.
He gets a big spoonful and holds it up to your lips. His eyes have a secret hidden heat in them as he pulls the spoon from your lips. Then like nothing happened, he tucks into the dessert himself.
He gives you a couple more bites before he finishes it, and this time he wipes some chocolate sauce from the corner of your mouth. Only instead of his finger, he kisses it off.
His hand finds its spot again on your thigh while the conversation turns into goodbyes as the night winds down. The bill has been paid and everyoneâs letting their food settle a bit before getting up to leave.
Will and Benny leave together. You stay seated while Will kisses your cheek, and Benny wraps you up in a huge hug. Benny gives you a wink, you know what itâs for. Santiâs gonna get lucky tonight.
They hug Santi and you take that opportunity to turn to Frankie to say your goodbye to him. He adjusts his hat on his head and pops one of his remaining fries in his mouth. He gets up and squeezes your shoulder and smacks Santi on the back telling him happy birthday. Leaving you and Santi sitting at the table.
He flips his hand on your thigh over, his wrist coming to rest on your skin. His palm is open to you, heâs offering you his hand, but all you can focus on is his watch face digging into your skin.
All it takes is one look from you and heâs on to you. He doesnât say anything, just quietly observes. He presses his watch into your skin just a little deeper and your heart jumps.
Fuck.
He knows.
Youâre quick to take his hand and hop off the barstool. The heat of his gaze is too much, and the night has only begun.
His hand is in yours and he follows close behind, he slides up close to you and pulls his hand from yours â putting it on your hip.
âSomething you wanna tell me?â
âNo,â you smile, which he returns.
âIâll get it out of you one way or another,â he teases. His âthreatâ goes right to your core. You know what that entails. Heâs right, he has a way of getting you to âtalk.â
His hand is still on your hip as you walk in the parking lot, Frankie drives by in his truck and honks his horn when he sees the two of you. Santi gives a little two fingered salute at his friend.
Once in Santiâs truck, you lean in and give him another cheek kiss while he starts the engine. He turns to kiss your lips and he hums.
âHowâs your birthday so far hmm?â
âItâs been great, honey. But I have a feeling itâs going to get better.â
âDonât speed on the way home,â you laugh.
He gives you a little wink. You grab his hand and pull it in your lap. Your fingers interlock with his, and with your other hand you rub up and down his forearm.
The drive home is familiar, nothing new to notice. It all fades in the background. All you can focus on is what youâre going to give your sweet husband when you get home.
âSo, do you?â his voice pulls you from your thoughts about him.
âDo I what my love?â
âDo you want a baby?â he seems nervous. His fingers flex slightly against yours. âWeâve not really talked about it in a while. Is that something you still want?â
You bring his hand up to your lips and kiss the back of his hand. You donât answer verbally, just a nod of your head âyes.â His foot presses a little harder on the gas and you giggle behind his hand.
When he reaches your driveway, he pulls his hand from yours. With his knuckle his presses the garage door opener. He pulls his truck in the garage next to your car. He pulls the keys from the ignition and sits for a moment. Still.
âWhat?â you freeze, your first thought is that something is wrong.
âHoney,â he purrs and lunges forward to kiss at your neck. âI wanna fuckinâ take you in the backseat right now.â
âI have to give you your present!â you squeal while he starts to bite on your neck. His stubbled chin scrapes your collarbone.
âI thought you were my present?â he murmurs and kisses behind your ear. His hands cradle your head, thereâs no pulling away.
âThatâs not all of it!â
âFine,â he pretends to pout and opens his door. He unlocks the side door and closes the garage and squeezes your ass when you pass by him into the house.
âGo sit down and get undressed,â you point to the couch when he turns on the living room lights. âIâll come out with your surprise. Donât move.â
âYes maâam,â he grins and steals another kiss before doing what you ask.
Your stomach flips with excitement, itâs been a while since youâve put on lingerie for him. You disappear into your bedroom and get the bag out of your closet. Inside along with the garments is his other gift.
You undress and the redress in the lingerie. Itâs sheer, thin, and lacey. It flatters your curves and you know heâll like it. He likes you no matter what youâre wearing.
âClose your eyes!â you call out to him from the doorway. Your hands clutch to his other gift with a sudden bit of nerves. You hope it likes it. âNo peeking!â
You canât help but smile when you step out into the living room, then a rush of heat goes to your core. Heâs sitting naked on the couch as requested, feet planted firmly on the floor. Heâs sitting up straight, and one hand is covering his eyes. His lips twitch into a smile when he hears you come in. And his nostrils flare when he gets a whiff of his favorite perfume. Heâs hard and ready for you already, you love the effect you have on him.
âCan I look honey? You sure know how to kill a man here.â
âYes,â you tell him. He lowers his hand and his eyes widen. His mouth drops open and his tongue sweeps over his bottom lip.
âFuck, honey. Get over here,â he laughs. Heâs dying to hold you.
âFirst,â you hand him the small box in your hands. He takes it in his big hands popping it open to reveal a brand-new shiny silver watch. He has a few watches, but not one like this.
âWow,â he looks up at you, âthank you!â he takes off his tactical black one and slips on the sliver one. âHow does it look?â he asks sticking out his arm examining it. His eyes flick up to yours, he knows.
Without warning, he slips his hand between your legs â grabbing your ass with his hand. The band of his watch on his wrist presses into your center. The cool metal sends a chill to your hot flesh through the thin lace fabric. When your knees buckle at the friction, he steadies you with his other hand on your hip.
âDamn honey, look at you.â He presses his wrist into you harder. âCan I unwrap my present now?â
You nod with a smile; youâve been waiting for this all night.
With a sharp tug, he pulls your panties down, then brings you to straddle his lap. Only when youâre seated does he pull off the sheer bra. A hand clutches your back as his face buries between your breasts to kiss at your chest. His stubble brushes along the sides of your chest and he groans to feel your body on his. His abs tighten with need, and his length is hard and hot in-between your bodies.
âFuck,â he whimpers when he closes his lips around your nipple. His other hand cups your breast and you moan. He makes a point to dig his wrist into your skin so you can feel the watch. âI didnât know my watch got you this hot, honey. Itâs killing me.â
His eagerness has him pulling you onto his aching length, and you groan in unison. His right hand reaches between you to thumb at your clit. His left hand starts at your hip, his watchband digging into your skin. He moves up your body, the band brushing against you â giving you delicious chills and shudders, which spurs him on to groan. His hand finds a place on your neck. He doesnât squeeze, but he wraps his fingers around your neck.
You know what heâs doing, and fuck if you donât love it. His wedding ring and watch â you feel them both against your skin. Itâs then he bucks up into your heat. Your hands in need of holding something, your fingers dig into his curls, and you other grasps the back of his neck. You pull his face back to your breasts and he sucks on your nipple again while he thrusts.
His fingers on your clit move faster to pull that sweet high from you. And when you tug on his curls just a little harder, he follows behind you.
âHappy birthday Santi,â you laugh, trying to catch your breath.
âThank you honey,â he purrs into your neck. âBe honest with me though, was this watch for me or for you?â
âBoth.â
He lets out a loud laugh and holds your body closer to him. He leans back into the couch cushions with a sigh. âDonât get up yet,â he runs his hands up and down your back. âYou feel too good.â
Heâs softening inside you, but he doesnât pull out. You nuzzle into his chest, feeling warm and giddy from your high.
âYou think we made a baby?â you ask him, and he grunts a little, the idea turns him on.
âThatâd be one hell of a birthday present, in addition to what I already got.â
Your chests are pressed together as your breathing slows. You can feel his heartbeat, and he can feel yours. His arms are comfortably wrapped around you, and you donât move from that spot on his lap for a good while.
âI love you Santi,â you nuzzle your face into his neck. He squeezes you tighter.
âI love you too honey. What a good birthday. Seems like you enjoyed it too.â
âSanti!â you scold him, and all he does is laugh. His chest rumbles under yours.
You hope you do get pregnant; youâd love to have a baby with this wonderful man you get to call your husband.

Y/Nâs first week didnât go as great as she expected.
She naively thought things would be good after the first day, which had started a little wonky but ended up being better once she met Cas and Charlie. She had become really friendly with them, and she was glad that they were a highlight of each day. Her 7th graders were great, but she had to do a lot of work with them to make them come out of their shells. Her 8th graders on the other hand⊠she just didnât understand how to get through to them. Some of them were loud and disruptive, a couple of them were bullying another girl, and others just didnât seem to care at all. Ben was a good kid, but he got easily swayed by the loud ones. They had so much potential, and they had to start being better if they were ever going to survive high school.
She walked out of the grocery store, pushing a shopping cart with two heavy brown bags. After finishing up at school, she decided to go and buy a few essentials plus some stuff to make dinner. She was looking forward to a nice meal she cooked and a glass of wine, maybe two. As she drove through town to get home, she smiled. Despite everything, Lawrence was a peaceful town. She had to hope that she could strap in and really get through to the kids, so that living here would be worth it.
As she drove down her street, she smiled as she saw Dean sitting on his porch steps. She pulled into her driveway and got out of the car, smiling as she saw him talking on the phone. She walked over to her trunk and opened it, picking up the two bags in there. She left the trunk open, as she struggled to hold the bags, cursing the guy at the check-out for filling them so much to save on bags. Suddenly, there was a pressure on one of the bags, as it ripped at the bottom, not being able to handle the weight of the items. Two cans fell and started rolling down her driveway.
âShit!â she yelled, as she manoeuvred the bags and tried to hold them both in one arm.
Dean, who was still on the phone as he sat on the porch steps, saw everything from across the street.
âSammy, let me call you backâ He quickly hung up the phone and rushed across the street. He got to the end of the driveway just in time and swept up the rolling cans. Y/N saw him and beamed, relieved.
âThank youâ she breathed heavily.
âNo problem, canât have run away cans on the streetâ he smiled, as he continued to hold them. âHere, let me get that for ya.â
He picked up the broken bag from her arm and held it, his hand at the bottom.
âBetween my furniture and my groceries, I think youâre my saviorâ she laughed.
Dean shook his head, a smirk on his face. âI take the job very seriously.â
âI hope that call wasnât important?â she asked, knowing he had been on the phone with someone.
âNah, just my pain in the ass little brother. Itâs okay, heâll get over itâ he replied, laughing slightly.
Y/N laughed with him, getting lost in his green eyes again. He looked even more sexy and handsome today, now wearing a red and black plaid shirt on top of a black t-shirt and dark blue jeans. She had told herself sheâd wait to ask him for dinner, and now she couldnât think of a more perfect time, having just saved the items for dinner.
âHey, um⊠are you doing anything tonight? I was going to make dinner for myself but if youâre free-â she started to ask but got cut off by a voice coming from his house.
âDean!â a female voice called as she came out onto his porch.
Y/Nâs heart sunk as Benâs mother, Lisa, came out and looked around. When she spotted him, she waved him in.
âCan you help with dinner?â she asked and then walked back inside the house. Y/N had never seen which house Lisa and Ben had come from that day, so this was shocking. The guy she was kind of crushing on was Lisaâs boyfriend. Benâs dad. Fucking great.
âSorry, I didnât realize-â Y/N started but Dean shook his head.
âItâs okay, Y/N. I should goâ he helped her take the bags inside the house and then awkwardly stood there.
âIâll see ya aroundâ he gave her a quick nod before he rushed off, before she could say anything.
Y/N frowned as she closed the door behind him. She leaned her head against it as she groaned. Why did she have to start liking him without knowing his situation? She moved away from the door and walked into the kitchen. She was going to get started on dinner for one and try to stop thinking about her ridiculously good-looking neighbor.
Dean walked into his house, finding Lisa in the kitchen. She had a blank expression on her face, as she chopped up the vegetables.
âWhat do you need?â he asked.
âWhy were you talking to Y/N?â she asked in return, abruptly.
Dean blinked a few times, confused by her question. âShe was just struggling with some broken grocery bags. I helped her.â
âWhateverâ she mumbled, as she moved away to the stove.
Dean shook his head, walking out of the kitchen and to the backyard. Lisa was suddenly in one of her moods and he needed to get away. He usually hid out in the garage until things cooled down with her.
Y/N was thankful to have finished her first week and now move into another Saturday. She still had a few boxes that needed to be emptied, having done most of them last week and then sporadically through the week. She was going to do that in the morning and then look over her plans for the next week of school, before chilling that night and having a drink.
After a quick breakfast and putting on one of her phone playlists this time, she got started as her favorite Kaleo song came through the speakers. She smiled sadly as she put up some of the pictures she hadnât yet, her heart aching knowing she had left her family behind. One of her with her sister and parents. One of her sister and brother-in-law with her nieces; the younger one having just been born before Y/N had to leave. One of just her and her sister. This was the one thing that made her regret leaving: her family. She stepped back as she looked at the photos on the mantel above the fireplace, remembering all the wonderful times she had with her loved ones.
The doorbell rang, interrupting her thoughts. As she walked to the door, Y/N looked up at the clock, seeing it was 12.30pm already. She opened the door, her smile becoming a bit forced once she saw it was Emily Charlton, one of her middle-aged divorced neighbors. She had already been over several times that week with baked goods, which she ended up feeding to the birds after one bite.
âHi, Emily. What can I do for you?â she asked, politely and hoping the woman would leave soon.
âIâm just here to find out if you got the fliers in your mail about the barbecue todayâ she replied, her big white teeth beaming.
âOh, yeah, I did see thatâ Y/N said, remembering the two fliers she had received.
âWell, itâs at Sid and Oliviaâs and starts at 1, and it would be good for everyone to meet youâ Emily continued to smile. She pointed at the house, then primped her blonde hair with her long acrylic nails.
Y/N rolled her eyes while she wasnât looking. âIâm sorry, Emily, I canât. I just have a lot of work to do-â she started but Emily waved a finger, her fake nails looking like they could gauge an eye out.
âNonsense, I absolutely insist on you coming to lunch. Thereâs still so many on the street you havenât met yetâ she insisted.
Y/N sighed, shaking her head. It was better to give in than keep arguing. âSure.â
Emily laughed in a high pitch tone, making Y/N cringe. âWonderful!â
âGreatâ she mumbled, under her breath.
âSo, weâll see you soon, and uhâ Emily looked her up and down, causing Y/N to frown. She looked down at herself, dressed in just a loose, plain red t-shirt and her boyfriend jeans. Emily smiled one more time, fake as ever, before she strutted off.
Y/N closed the door, wanting to shut everyone and everything out, but she wasnât going to do that. She was going to glam herself up and go to the barbecue, to rub it in Emily Charltonâs face that she could be fake all she wanted, it wasnât going to affect her.
She frowned as she thought about how she shouldnât go there empty-handed. If she did, sheâd probably be the talk of the street and be highly judged for it. She normally didnât care what people thought of her, but in this case, if she could avoid it, she would. It was better to be slightly late. Plus, who showed up right on time, anyway? She quickly searched around in her kitchen cupboards and found a box of Betty Crocker brownies in her pantry. She quickly made the pre-mix. She smiled. She was good, even in a time crunch. No one needed to know they were from a box. She put the brownies into the oven and set the timer.
Y/N showered and washed her hair, drying it into a natural, summer-y look once she got out. She got dressed into a red, cap sleeve summer dress, with a small white flower print on it. Looking at the clock, she saw that it was 1pm.
When the timer went off, she walked back into the kitchen and took out the brownies, waiting for them to cool. She went back into her room and applied her make-up, keeping it simple with a little foundation, some mascara and a little lip gloss. She put on her wedge heels and her small bag across her body. After a few minutes when she was dressed and ready, she cut the brownies and put them in a container. She put her sunglasses on, before walking out of the house. She locked up and put her keys in her bag, climbing down her porch stairs before walking down the street.
Y/N was nervous to be around so many people, hearing the sounds of music and laughter coming from Sidâs house. Especially if most of those people turned out to be like Emily Charlton, but she couldnât let them scare her if they were. She wouldnât let anyone overwhelm her and push her around again. She had suffered enough the first time, and she wouldnât let it happen again.
She saw some people walk in through the side entrance to the backyard, as some older teens played touch football in the front yard. Y/N followed behind those people, looking out for Sid or Olivia. She looked around the large backyard as Nathaniel Rateliff crooned away from the large speaker on the back porch. She had seen them around, Emily telling her who they were, so Y/N hoped she could spot them properly and didnât confuse them for someone else. Luckily, she heard Emilyâs high pitched âOlivia!â and saw her hugging another blonde woman.
Y/N walked over, putting her sunglasses on her head. She smiled as she approached Olivia, laughing to herself as her face looked just as uncomfortable to be around Emily.
âOlivia, hi. Iâm Y/Nâ she said, smiling.
âOh yes, so good to finally meet youâ Olivia smiled, shaking her hand. âEmily told me about you, welcome to the neighborhood.â
âHello again, Y/Nâ Emilyâs fake smile beaming once again.
âHiâ Y/N nodded at her before turning back to Olivia. âI thought Iâd bring a little something.â
She handed over the container.
âOh, you didnât have to, but thank you. Okay, Sidâs handling the grill and thereâs already plenty, so please help yourself. Can I get you a beer? Wine? Something stronger to deal with Emily?â Olivia laughed, when Emily had walked off to speak to someone else.
Y/Nâs eyes widened with surprise, as she laughed too. She liked Olivia already.
âA beer would be greatâ she continued to laugh.
Olivia bent down and took a beer out of an ice bucket. She opened the lid with a bottle opener and handed it to her.
âSo, what do you do, Y/N?â Olivia asked, as she sipped her wine. She started walking towards the food table and Y/N followed beside her.
âIâm an English teacher, junior highâ Y/N replied, before taking a sip of her beer.
Olivia stopped and smiled at her, a fondness in her eyes, which Y/N wouldâve found strange but something about her look was pleasant.
âMy mom was an English teacher. She passed last year, but it still feels like yesterdayâ Olivia quietly told her.
âIâm sorry, Oliviaâ Y/N gave her a sad smile. âShe mustâve been amazing, if she was anything like her daughter.â
Olivia beamed; her eyes slightly watery. She wrapped an arm around Y/Nâs shoulders as they walked towards the food table.
Y/Nâs smile dropped when she saw who was standing at the table. Lisa was shifting things around, making place for everything on the table. Dean, who was dressed in jeans and black half-sleeve button-up shirt, came up behind her. She turned her head and kissed him on the cheek. Y/N felt a tightness in her chest but chose to ignore it. Olivia walked over to the table and placed her container down, making some small talk with Lisa. Dean turned his head, smiling when he saw Y/N.
Dean could feel his heart racing. She was stunning, every single thing about her. From her hair, to the way she looked in that summer dress, which had a slit on the side, giving a peek of her smooth leg. He couldnât be looking at her, not with Lisa standing right next to him. Y/N smiled in return, getting lost in his features yet again. He was so incredibly good-looking, it hurt to look at him.
Y/N looked away from him when Olivia tapped her shoulder. She smiled at her, trying not to let it show that she and Dean had been staring at each other.
âArenât they perfect together?â Olivia said, not really seeking a reply as she smiled at Dean and Lisa.
âYeah.â Y/N smile faltered.
âSo, help yourself. Iâm just going to check in with Sid and see if he needs anything. Iâll be backâ Olivia walked off, leaving her to go to her husband.
Y/N walked closer to the table, trying to smile when Lisa noticed her.
âHi, good to see youâ Lisa smiled. âCan I get you anything?â
Y/N shook her head. âNo, Iâll help myself, thanks.â
âOkayâ Lisa turned from her to Dean. âIâm just going to check where Ben is, can you plate some for me?â she leaned in and kissed his cheek.
âSureâ he nodded, before grabbing a plate and putting food on it.
Y/N smiled as Lisa walked past her and then looked over at Dean. She didnât know for sure, but it felt like Lisa was being a bit aloof with her. She chose to ignore it for now. She walked closer to the table, and Dean looked up at her.
âItâs really good to see youâ he said. The way he was looking at her was different to how he had been looking at Lisa.
She felt her cheeks get a little hot. âItâs good to see you, too.â Y/N started to put some food on her plate.
âSo, how-â he started but was cut off by a shrill voice calling out her name.
âY/N! Get over here, young lady!â Emily yelled from across the yard. She had a gaggle of middle-aged women around her.
She turned back to Dean; her eyes wide. âIs there any way I can get out of going there?â
Dean laughed. âAfraid not.â
She groaned, as she closed her eyes. âWish me luck.â
âYou donât need itâ Dean smirked.
Y/N opened her eyes, smiling when she saw him smirking at her.
âYou can handle a few divorceeâs and housewivesâ he assured her.
She bit her lip, as she shook her head. Somehow, he had managed to ease her mind. âThanks.â
Y/N took her plate and beer, throwing her shoulders back and walking over there with confidence. Dean admired her as she walked away, checking her out as her hips swayed. It was dangerous to be doing that with so many people around, but he took his chance. He picked up two plates and walked away from the table, in search of Lisa.
Y/N couldnât hide the boredom on her face, as the divorceeâs and housewives asked her questions about her life.Â
âSo, Y/N, are you seeing anyone special?â one woman asked.
âNopeâ Y/N answered around a mouthful of hot dog, not really caring about anything other than food at that point.
âWhy not? A pretty, young girl like youâ equally nosey Jill, added.
Y/N shrugged, still eating. âI just got here and want to take my time, you know?â
Emily shook her head. âNo, thereâs definitely more to the story. It was a bad break up, wasnât it? Thatâs why you moved here.â
Y/N frowned, glaring at Emily. âYou know, itâs really not something I want to talk about.â
âOh, Y/N, if you donât talk to us, who can you talk to? Weâre here to helpâ Emily gave her the best sympathetic face she could probably muster.
âYou know what? You could help me with thisâ Y/N handed Emily the empty plate. âIâm going to get another beer.â
She didnât stick around to see the shock on Emilyâs face to her abrupt departure and Y/Nâs plate in her hand.
Y/N felt the anger simmering in her belly as she walked away. The last thing she needed was advice from that woman. She just wanted to grab a beer and go sit somewhere in the front yard, away from everyone else. She picked up a bottle and opened it, taking a sip as she walked away. She walked out to the front yard and looked around. There was a large tree with good shade near the fence, which would be nice and secluded. As she walked closer, she noticed someone leaning against it. She walked around, smiling when she saw Dean with a beer in his hands.
âMind if I join you?â she asked.
ââCourse notâ he smirked, as he shifted over.
âI seriously had to get away from those womenâ Y/N groaned, sitting down on the ground next to him.
âYeah, theyâll do that to yaâ he laughed, sipping his beer.
âWell, I handled it like you saidâ she smiled, holding her bottle towards him.
He nodded, approvingly, clinking his bottle to hers. âNice.â
A comfortable silence fell between them, as Fleetwood Mac could be heard from the backyard. Y/N looked at him, appreciating his features now that she was closer. Freckles scattered under his eyes and on his nose, and his eyes were even more striking up close.
âSoâŠâ she trailed off, thinking of what to ask him. âDid you grow up here?â
He nodded, a small smile appearing on his face. âYeah, born and raised. My parents are still in the same house we grew up in. My little brother lives in Kansas City with his wife.â
âAre you and your brother close?â she asked.
âYeah, itâs always been me and Sammy. I mean, donât get me wrong, my parents were good with us, but there were times when theyâd fight, and Iâd have to look out for himâ he replied, looking down at his bottle.
Y/N frowned, and Dean noticed. âOh, donât worry, my parents were great, itâs just sometimes⊠they didnât see eye to eye, you know? Theyâre good now, though. Have been for a long time.â
She smiled, seeing how fondly he spoke of his family. They mustâve been close. She was missing hers a lot.
âWhat about you?â he asked in return.
âI was born and raised in Rhinebeck, New York. No brother, but sister instead. Sheâs married to a great guy, so he definitely feels like a brotherâ she told him, a sad smile on her face. âThey have two beautiful daughters, one was just born before I left so Iâm going to miss seeing her.â
âWow. From New York to Kansasâ he muttered, laughing. She joined in. âWhy the big move?â he wondered, as he took another sip of his beer.
âIâŠâ she breathed out, shaking her head. âI needed to get away. It just became⊠too much.â
Dean nodded, but he understood that that wasnât the whole story.
âBut this is a great town, not too different from back home, so thatâs a plusâ she said, smiling at him.
Dean smiled in return. âThatâs great.â
They looked into each other eyes, and she felt that familiar fluttering in her stomach.
Don't, don't break the spell It would be different and you know it will You, you make loving fun And I don't have to tell you but you're the only one
The words of the song were beginning to freak her out as they maintained eye contact. Y/N quickly looked away. This was unsafe ground they were about to tread.
âHowâd you meet Lisa?â she asked, quickly changing the subject.
Dean breathed deep, with a long exhale. âShe was here from Indiana visiting some friends, and we met one night at a bar. It was a one-time thing, but then a few months later she moved here with Ben when she got a job opportunity. We met up again⊠and weâve been together three years.â
âWaitâŠâ she thought about everything he just said, suddenly confused. âBenâs-â
âYeah, heâs⊠not mine, technically. It feels like he is, thoughâ Dean finished for her.
âGosh, I really shouldâve guessed with the last namesâ she shook her head, rolling her eyes at herself for not realizing sooner.
âItâs all good, Y/Nâ he chuckled.
âWell, you guys look really closeâ she said, trying to sound happy.
âYeahâ he huffed, knowing he and Lisa were far from close these days.
Maybe coming to talk to him hadnât been such a good idea. She seriously had to start liking a taken guy, didnât she? At least he wasnât married. Oh yeah, Y/N. That makes it better she thought, as she closed her eyes at her own stupid thoughts. Though she had to wonder, if things were great between him and Lisa then why was he sitting out here, far away from her?
Dean looked up and looked into her eyes again. Sitting there and talking to her about Lisa just didnât feel natural. It really did feel like he was living a lie, it had felt like that since way before Y/N showed up.
Y/N quickly looked away from him. She needed to leave. She quickly stood up, dusting her dress off.
âI should really get going. I have a lot of work to doâ she said, turning to him as he stood up.
âOn a Saturday?â he asked, confused. Dean took the empty beer bottle out of her hand. The brush of his fingers against hers sent a tingling sensation through her arm and over her body.
âLife of a teacherâ she quickly joked, pulling her hand away.
Dean huffed a laugh, scratching the back of his neck. âSo, Iâll see you around?â
She nodded, a small smile on her face. âYeah.â
Dean looked back at the back yard, before looking at her. âI better find Lisa.â
âThanks for the chatâ she said, playing nervously with the strap of her bag.
âNo problemâ he smirked.
He slowly walked backwards and gave her a small wave, before turning and walking away.
Y/N watched him walk to the back yard before she turned and walked down the sidewalk. She quickly made it home, closing the door behind her. She walked into her bedroom, dropping her bag on the chair and then stripped off her dress and shoes. She changed into her large sleep shirt, which came down to just above her knees. She threw her hair up in a bun and walked into her bathroom, taking the make-up wipes to rub off her make-up. She washed her face and wiped it down with a small towel, flicking the light off as she left.
As she went about that routine, her mind was on Dean. Just a short amount of time to talk, a few looks between them, a small touch of his hand against hers, and she couldnât stop thinking about him. There was an air about him, almost like you could trust him completely. He would take care of you and never let anything happen to you. There was a sadness behind his smile, however, and she could feel that it had something to do with life at home. He and Lisa werenât the perfect couple they wanted people to see them as.
She walked out into the living room, her phone in hand. She dropped down on the couch, tucking her legs up. She scrolled through her phone, finding the name of her best friend, Katie, and sending her a quick text to see if she could talk. They had been best friends since college, and right now, she needed to talk to her about Dean. Maybe she could give her some advice on how to stop the way she was feeling. When she got a text back saying she could talk, Y/N called her.
âHey, sweetieâ Katie greeted.
Y/N smiled, closing her eyes. âYou have no idea how good it is to hear your voice.â
âItâs good to hear yours too. Though⊠you do sound a bit⊠offâ her friendâs concern was evident in her voice.
Y/N scoffed and thought about what to say. âWell, itâs been a week in a new town⊠and I already have a guy problem.â
âWow, that was quickâ Katie commented.
âYeah, wellâŠâ Y/N trailed off, playing with the edge of her shirt on her knee. âI wasnât expecting for it to happen so fast, either. Especially after Ethan.â
âOkay, whatâs his name?â Katie asked.
âDeanâ a smile grew on Y/N faceâs as she said his name, but it quickly dropped. âBut before you say anything, heâs with someone and sheâs got a kid, whoâs practically a son to him.â
Katie let out a whistle. âWow.â
âYeahâ Y/N agreed.
A silence fell between them, and Y/N knew that Katie was thinking.
âWell, as much as you probably donât want to hear it, I think you got to let this one goâ she said, finally.
Y/N sighed. âYouâre right. I was already thinking it. I guess I just needed someone else to say to me, so I didnât do anything stupid.â
âYouâre a far more rational person than I am, so I doubt you wouldâveâ Katie reassured her.
Y/N huffed, rolling her eyes. âYou havenât seen what he looks like.â
âWell, photos when and if you get the chanceâ Katie laughed.
Y/N laughed, shaking her head.
They spent another half hour catching up on everything back home. It made Y/N miss everything even more, but she was glad to get the latest news. After they ended their chat, she got up from the couch when she noticed what the time was. She started fixing herself something for dinner, when she heard voices from across the street. She looked out the window, seeing people going home from Sid and Oliviaâs.
Y/N watched Dean, Lisa and Ben walk back to their house. Dean and Lisa were holding hands, as Ben walked in front of them. Y/N felt her heart sink, seeing them look like a happy couple. Though it seemed that things werenât all that great, or at least that was the impression she got from the way Dean looked at her.
Y/N shook her head and went back to making dinner. Once she was done, she settled in on the couch with her plate, a glass of wine and FRIENDS on Netflix.
It was silly of her to think that anything would ever happen with Dean. Even if he wasnât with Lisa, she had only been around Dean twice. That wasnât enough time to start thinking of him. This was just a crush, and it would go away soon.
Or so she hoped.

Youâre in Wubble Now (Bino x Teen!Reader)
Request:Â R is Sue and Megan daughter(14 years old) ? Like what is being at the wubble together?
Authors note: Hey dudes, I really donât know much about basketball, or its players, but I hope you enjoy this! Hit me up with requests, questions or if you just wanna say hi!
You smiled brightly up at the sky, enjoying the way the sun fell on your face. You had missed the feeling of the sun on your face and cleats on your feet for the past 4 months you had spent in quarantine. You were glad that wubble included an outdoor area where you could practice your juggling in. You didnât want to lose your edge over your Aunt Tobin.
You glanced down at the ball, flicking it up to balance on your toe-box, before starting to practice the various tricks you knew how to do. All the while moving towards the place that you had designated in your mind as âgoalâ. As you neared the area, you tapped the ball a little too hard, sending it careening over the small fence and directly onto the outdoor basketball court. You groaned loudly as it collided with one Sami Whitcomb.Â
âIâm so sorry,â You tried to cover your giggle with your hand, but failed.Â
âTrying to take her out so Chicago Sky has the advantage kid?â Jordin Canada laughed, sapping a hand on your shoulder, and you shot her a cheeky smile. You and your Aunt JJ had a running joke that the Stars were your favorite team, though you were rather partial to Portland, just to annoy your mothers.Â
âHey short stack, youâre good with your feet, but are you any good with your hands?â Sami joined in the banter, spinning the soccer ball on her finger before tossing it back to you. You smiled and caught it on the top of your left foot and began to juggle again.Â
âAre you kidding me? Sheâs got Pinoâs height and none of Birdâs skills,â Breanna Stewart joked, resting her elbow on the top of your head. You huffed. Yes, you were short, and the USWNT always liked to remind you of that, but next to your momâs teammates, you were practically a dwarf and they didnât mind telling you about it.Â
Just because you preferred soccer didnât mean you werenât any good at basketball. Hell, you and your mom had done nothing but play pickup games in the driveway since the whole COVID thing started. You werenât terrible, to begin with, but you had definitely gotten better if you did say so yourself. You had even pulled the basketball version of a nutmeg on your mom. Plus, you never backed down from a challenge.Â
âI think I could take you,â You smirked, puffing out your chest. The women laughed at your adorableness. They knew just how competitive you were, they had seen it in your determination to make the U15 soccer team, and in all of the stories about you, Sue had shared with them.Â
âBe careful what you ask for kid, just because youâre a Rapino-Bird doesnât mean we wonât whip your ass,â Jordin said seriously, (gently) bumping your shoulder. You set your jaw in a way that they had come to recognize as your âIâm going to win any way I canâ face.Â
âSounds like a challenge to me,â Sami laughed at how cute your determined face was, patting your upper back in a way that reminded you of your mom.Â
âOh, youâre on. 2v2 me a Sami vs you and Breannaâ You nodded at Jordin, who flashed Sami a wink. They couldnât let the soccer players teach you everything, now could they.Â
****
The game was going well for you, as you and Sami were up by 12, and you were about to extend that lead. She crossed you the ball, bouncing it in between Breannaâs legs. You collected it, realizing that if you tried to dribble, youâd most likely fall victim to Jordinâs marking. So you took the shot, Jumping up just outside of the three-point area. Jordin, not expecting the move, bumped into you milliseconds after the ball had left your fingertips, sending you careening into the concrete floor.Â
âYou alright kid?â Sami asked, watching as you got back to your feet, and gasping when you turned around.Â
âShit, Sueâs going to kill us,â Jordan mumbled when she saw the gash that had formed just above your right eyebrow, and the red substance that was seeping down your face, staining your brand new Re-inc popsicle shirt.Â
âKill you is more like it,â Breanna smirked, shoving Jordinâs shoulder lightly.Â
âAnd Iâd be more worried about Megan,â Sami murmured as she took a closer look at your cut.Â
âIâm fine guys,â You grumbled, pulling your head out of Samiâs gentle hands and turning to find the basketball. The rapid movement caused even more blood to drip down your covered face, and land unceremoniously on the pavement.Â
âYeah, letâs get you to the medic,â The women rolled their eyes at your insistence, Jordin grabbing one arm, and Breanna grabbing another while Sami placed a hand at the center of your back to get you moving forward.Â
The walk to the First aid room had been relatively uneventful, as the women wouldnât budge on their stance that you needed to get checked by the doctors (though several other players sent you worried looks as you passed them).Â
âIâm going to need to call one of your mothers down here for consent to treat you,â The doctor said quietly, handing you a piece of gauge and motioning for you to hold it to the cut that was still freely bleeding. You rolled your eyes at him and nodded for Sami to call your mom. She was always more level headed than Ma when you got hurt. You should have guessed that they would be together and that they would not be happy to find out that youâd been hurt⊠again.Â
âWhat the fuck happened?â Megan exclaimed, bursting into the first aid room, racing over to you and glaring at the women who were accompanying you. It was kinda funny cause even though she was so much shorter than them, they all shrunk under her gaze.Â
âMeg, chill.âSue interrupted, stepping between her wife and her very afraid teammates. Megan may have been short but she was called your mama bear for a reason.âWhat happened?â Your mom asked you directly, crouching down so she was eye level with you, and taking the soaked gauze from your grasp. You sighed dramatically.Â
âWe were playing a game of pickup, and I got bumped. They freaked out,â you scoffed, waving your hand at the three women who were still covering inter you Maâs gaze.Â
âI think our response was well deserved,â Sami grumbled, gesturing towards you. So maybe there had been a lot of blood, but your Aunt Ash had always said that head cuts always bled more.Â
âIt was just a scratch,â You rolled your eyes, your annoyance leaking into your tone, sure that if it had been any one of your momâs teammates, you would still be outside on the field, enjoying the sun.Â
âYeah, like Kelleyâs nose during the World Cup,â You am sent you a pointed look, and you froze.Â
âI donât stop in the middle of games,â you grumbled, pouting and crossing your arms, pulling off a flying squirrel impersonation that would make the woman proud, âand plus this is nothing compared to the time Aunt Toby took me surfingâ You pointed out, shivering just thinking about the experience. The almost drowning part hadnât been the worst part, the cuts from the coral on the bottom had.Â
âYou got caught under a wave and almost drowned,â Sue said sternly, forcing you to look her in the eyes, and grabbing another wad of gauze, as you had bled through the first two.Â
âSee, this is just a baby cut compared to that, or liked the time I went skateboarding with Emily,â You shot her a grin, and she sent you back a grim smile.Â
âYeah, that time you broke your collarbone,âÂ
You huffed. It had been Lindseyâs idea for you to try and jump the fire hydrant, and Emilyâs fault that she hadnât cleared the sidewalk for you. If you had followed through with the landing, you probably would have creamed the family of 4 just trying to enjoy their day.Â
âIâm going to have to put stitches in,â The doctor interrupted, peeling back the gauze and setting up to treat your cut.Â
âYouâre not allowed by yourself with our teams anymore,â Megan huffed, glaring at the three women who were watching your interaction with their captain in awe.Â
âHey, itâs not our fault the shrimp-â Jordin started to protest, only to be cut off by a glare from her Captain.Â
âI donât want to hear it,â Sue said, her voice dangerously low, before turning back to you. âYouâre benched for the rest of the season kid,â She finished, cupping your cheek. You closed your eyes in frustration. You didnât want to have to sit on the bench with your ma.Â
âHey, Iâm not that bad,â Megan pouted at you, obviously offended by your reaction. You loved your Ma, you did, but you had way too much energy to not be able to play sports, even though you probably had a concussion.Â
âNo, you're not,â You said back lowly, and Sue laughed at your sad face. She knew that there would be no way to stop you from playing sports, but maybe the promise of cuddling with your Ma would at least give your cut time to heal.Â
âLove you, my dear,â Megan whimpered, placing a careful kiss on your cheek, followed by another from Sue.

Video Games + Hangovers
Note: Thank you to everybody who gave my first fic so much love! Iâm back with another established MacRiley fic. Iâve turned it into a series so this is Part 2 of âThey say the world was built for two.â You can read it below or on Ao3. Hope you guys like it!
The cab pulled out of the driveway as Bozer walked towards Macâs house. Despite Bozerâs irritable mood, a small smile tugged at his lips as a few more memories from the night before started coming back to him. The team thought itâd be a good idea to hold a game night since theyâd have the next day off from work. A day off that was long overdue if Bozer said so himself. All of his friends were pretty competitive when it came to game night, but things got hilariously heated when Russ and Desi started fighting over the title for best bartender.
During their last mission, Desi and Russ had went undercover as bartenders. While Russ was more skilled at serving good drinks, people were mesmerized with Desiâs bar tricks like throwing up and catching bottles that were sometimes lit with fire. With the type of show Desi had put on it was easy to believe she was a bartender, but one sip of the drinks she made quickly cleared that misconception. Except for Desi, apparently. She thought her drinks were pretty good and really took a liking to playing bartender even after the mission was successfully completed.
Which is why last night everyone was forced to taste the concoctions Russ and Desi brewed up to see who, in fact, was the more skilled bartender. Desiâs drinks, if you can call them that, did not taste the greatest, but damn did they get you drunk. Soon they were all having too much fun playing mixologists and serving their drinks to one another that the competition was completely forgotten. They all shared an Uber home because none of them were in any shape to get behind the wheel.
Game night was a lot of fun, but the hangover and the pounding in his head this morning, not so much. He would much rather be at home right now, but he needs his car for work tomorrow. So here he was on this bright and early day, picking up his car instead of sleeping in his comfy bed with the curtains drawn shut.
When Bozer texted earlier to see if it was okay for him to drop by, Riley said sheâd leave the door unlocked for him. Bozer closed the front door behind him and as he walked towards the kitchen, he called out to his friends. âHey guys! I-.â
Before Bozer could finish his sentence, he was interrupted by someone shushing him. For a second, the agent thought something was wrong and his instincts immediately put him on guard. That was until he turned toward the living room and saw Riley chilling on the couch facing the TV. She didnât even turn to greet at him. Rude.
Sporting her favourite lazy day tights and an oversized Metallica t-shirt, Riley looked perfectly at home with a controller in hand, laying on Macâs couch. Correction. Mac and Rileyâs couch now. Riley moved in a few weeks ago after about a year of dating Mac.
When Mac and Riley first announced they were moving in together, Bozer couldnât help but smile, not only because he was happy but because of the irony of the whole situation. When Riley first came into their lives, she had fit in so quickly and perfectly with the group that he had once offered her to come live in the same house she now lives in. Back then Riley had refused saying she was looking for a place that would be just hers, a home. And now she had found one with Mac in that very house. Itâs funny how things came full circle.
However, happy was not the word heâd use to describe his mood right now. âWhy are you shushing me?â
âWould you be quiet.â Riley whispered yelled, still not bothering to turn back to look at Bozer. Once Riley had a controller in her hand, there was barely anything that could force her attention away from the screen.
Bozer wasnât sure what was going on, but he whispered back, just to be on the safe side. âGood to see you to Riley. Iâm fine, thanks for asking.â Bozer remarked with a little sass and sarcasm.
âHmm,â was Rileyâs only reply as she continued playing.
âCanât believe a game is more important than turning around to greet your best friend whoâs come bearing donuts.â Bozer whispered as he pocketed his car keys that were sitting on the counter and then walked toward her. He still didnât understand why they were whispering.
Oh. Never mind.
Bozer now stood by the fireplace, staring at the couch. The couch on which both Riley and Mac were laying. Well Riley was laying on the couch, Mac was comfortably laying on top of her, peacefully sleeping. Riley was slouched against the armrest with her legs spread across the edge of the couch. Mac was settled between Riley and the back of the couch, probably to avoid crushing his girlfriend, with his legs tangled with hers. Mac used Riley as pillow by laying his head on her stomach and wrapping his arms around her. MacGyver, always improvising. This allowed Riley to rest the controller in her hands on his back while he slept, and she played her video game.
Riley finally paused her game and turned towards Bozer. Her game face was quickly overtaken by a questioning smile as she whispered, âdonuts?â
Bozer gasped, putting one hand over his heart and raising the box of donuts with the other. âOh wow, really? You pause the game for donuts but not me, your best friend, your elder brother? I am deeply offended.â Then held up a hand before Riley could counter his claim of being the older sibling and whisper yelled, âfor shame Miss Davis. For shame!â
Riley couldnât help but laugh at her friendâs theatrics but quickly stilled, trying not to wake her boyfriend up from his nap.
Both of them stared at Mac as Bozer questioned her. âIâm guessing sleeping beauty here is the reason weâre whispering?â
Riley smiled and bent down to place a kiss against his hair. âHeâs sleeping off his hangover, like Iâm sure you did too.â
âYeah.â Bozer huffed out. âLast night will definitely be memorable for a long time. That is, what I can remember of it.â
Bozer and Riley began laughing again as they remembered their antics from the night before but were trying to be quieter this time. But both of them stopped as they heard Macâs voice come out a little hoarse and muffled against Rileyâs stomach. âI thought sleeping beauty was supposed to be awakened with a true loveâs kiss?â
Rileyâs smile widened while Bozer shook his head. âDid I miss the memo where we decided weâre just not doing greetings anymore? Hello to you too, Mac.â Bozer said with just a bit of exasperation but the smile on his face told them he wasnât really upset. Macâs only reply was a wave of his hand before wrapping it around Riley again.
Riley chuckled, âyouâre awake.â
Mac still looked groggy but managed to open his eyes just enough to look up at Riley. Riley put the controller onto the coffee table and slid down the couch, pulling Mac up towards her. âI can totally fix the kiss thing, beautiful.â Mac couldnât help but huff out a laugh at that before bending down to kiss her.
Bozer had never seen Mac let anyone take care of him like this until he and Riley finally got together. Even then, it was slow going. He was really glad to see Mac let Riley in a little more each day and vice versa. He was truly happy for them, but it didnât mean he had to stand here to witness all this.
âAww true loveâs kiss.â Bozer teased. âWell, I got my car keys, so I guess Iâll be going?â
Mac and Riley both looked up at Bozer, looking just a tiny bit embarrassed. Riley spoke up first as Mac went back to staring at his girlfriend. âSorry Bozer! Itâs just nice to finally have a day to ourselves. And thank you for the donuts!â
Bozer just smiled. âYeah, yeah. I get it. Iâll leave you guys to it.â
âThanks, Boze!â Mac replied without taking his eyes off Riley.
As Bozer turned to walk out, the last thing he saw was Mac get more comfortable as he kissed and nuzzled into the crook of Rileyâs neck. Riley ran her fingers through Macâs hair and stroked his back as she also closed her eyes, settling in for another nap.
Bozer couldnât help but smile as he closed the front door behind him and walked towards his car. He was truly happy seeing his two best friends show one another the love, care and respect they deserved. Moreover, he was thrilled that they found it with each other because if there is one thing Bozer knew for certain, it was that Mac and Rileyâs love was the forever kind.
And they were definitely on the right track, another nap was an excellent idea.

Three cute ghosts
First imagine ever, I accidentally deleted my previous account, so Iâm starting a new one here. Anyway, hope you like it, and donât hesitate to point any mistake. (Iâm French, so sorry in advance)
Summary : Luke is mean to you, but not for long.Â
Word count :Â Â 2,5 kÂ
Youâve lived forever in the same neighborhood and easily created a bond with the neighbors. Your neighbors are Julie Molina and her family. You were good friends, and you helped her during through everything. From the death of her mom, to her discovery of three cute ghosts friends. You heard her scream one night and the next morning you were asking her what happened. Even though you considered you were friends you still respected the social boundaries.Â
« What happened last night ? I heard you scream. » you asked when you saw her at school.Â
« Oh it was nothing, I mean it was a ⊠spider. Yeah, right, those spiders always here when you donât want to. » she answered unsure of herself.Â
You doubted what she said, nevertheless, you let it slide, if she wanted to talk about it she would come your way.Â
The day passed without a hitch and Julie and you decided to go study to her house.Â
« Go ahead, Iâm just going to make some snacks for while we study » said Julie while you climbed the stairs to her room.Â
You opened the door and saw three cute guys roaming around her room. The four of you stared as each other, not a word coming from neither one of you.Â
Then, the brunette one finally said something : « I think she can see us » he said in a whisper.Â
« Oh really ? And what gave it away ? » sarcasm dripping from the blond guy.Â
« Uhhhhh Julie, could you come here for a sec ? Like real quick ? » you yelled towards the door without leaving out of sight the three guys.Â
They were in circle, whispering between them. Julie alerted by your yelling was in her room in no time. « Why is there three cute guys in your room? » you asked. « She thinks weâre cute. » you blushed at those words, but damn right they were cute. Julie gave a disapproving look to the boy who just talked. « You can see them?! » She exclaimed.Â
You thought that she was really becoming weird, why wouldnât you be able to see them ?Â
« Yeah, i donât understand whatâs the issue here ? »Â
« Well, weâre ghosts. » said the boy that hadnât talk until now.Â
Silence in the room, no one was talking, or breathing for a matter of fact.Â
« Yeah, right, okay Iâm out of here. » you took your stuff, ready to go back to your place. You looked at Julie for any confirmation or whatever. You didnât even knew what you were looking for, but it was definitely not this kind of explanation.Â
« Wait Y/N ! - she stopped for a second- itâs the truth, they are ghosts » Â
You couldnât believe what she was saying right now ! You stepped towards the door.Â
« Iâm serious, please come here ! Just let me show you or prove it to you ! » she said, a pleading look in her eyes.Â
You decided to hear her until the end of her demonstration. « just try to touch one of them, youâll see ! » she encouraged you.Â
You went to grab the blondeâs shoulder, but your hand went through. « What the hell is happening here ?! » you started to freak out. « Why canât I, why is he ? What âŠ? »Â
« I think sheâs panicking » said the one that you supposed was the funny guy of the group.Â
« Y/N meet Reggie, Alex and Luke. » they all gave you nod as Julie said their names.Â
âââââââââââââââ
As time flew, it has already been two months since you have met the boys, and this discovery that only you and Julie could see the boys has brought you closer with Julie but not only. You were spending all your free time in the garage wether it was doing your homework or just chilling in « Lukeâs couch » with the boys. You started to really be like family to them and they were just as much for you.Â
Your relationship with Luke, though, was different than with the other boys, you felt like he was always trying to not tell too much, to not let you enter into his world (even if it was impossible for some obvious reasons). He seemed to not want your company. You were sad about it because you knew that it could be really fun to be around, you saw how he interacted with the boys and Julie, how much of a sunshine he could be, but sadly not to you.
You thought that he didnât like you and he did not wanted you as a friend. You stopped trying to get his attention, or paying attention to him. It was painful for you, but if he didnât care you werenât one to wallow in self-pity because a guy wasnât friendly. You didnât look into his (beautiful, big, dead) eyes from now on. When he was around you didnât want to annoy him more than he seemed to already be. When he was around your persona changed a bit and everyone could see that. Â
As you were lying on the floor, you felt someone laying by your side. You opened your eyes to find Alex joining you on the floor of the garage. You were really closed to Alex, he was the one with the « softer touch » and you could tell him everything.Â
« So what is happening to you right now ? You donât seem like yourself nowadays » he started off.Â
You were a bit taken a back, you did not know that they noticed the change when Luke was around. You did not wanted them to know that it was affecting you.Â
« Nothing, everything is ⊠great » you said the last part in a whisper.Â
« Yeah because you seem like it. », you could never lie to Alex, he always has seen right through you.Â
« It is just that âŠÂ » you were interrupted by the whole gang walking in the studio. Saving you from things you didnât wanted to admit, even to Alex.Â
You got up and packed your things : « I have to back, bye guys » you waved and kiss Julie on the cheek before leaving.Â
Because of the tense atmosphere you tried spending less time at the Molinaâs house, mostly to avoid a certain beanieâs fan ghost. You stayed more in school and actually tried new club because why not. It is in writing class that you actually met Peter. He was really cute and nice to you, you hang together and started to become really close friends. Julie saw that this new friend made you really happy and she was absolutely and unconditionally supportive of the two of you.Â
You were still hanging around the studio to support your friends, and Luke being cold to you was not such an issue anymore. You knew that you had great friends and if he did not wanted to be a part of it then suit him.Â
As you were sitting on the couch listening to the band rehearse, you were smiling down at your phone because of Peterâs text. He was such a great friend, always sending you gif or cute pictures.Â
« Câmon Y/N ! Be a little more focused, we need your truthful opinion, and here you are smiling at this little box ! » exclaimed Alex.Â
« We could have played Home is Where my horse is you wouldnât even have noticed » added Reggie. The three other members gave him a dirty look.Â
« You know I would love to hear the song » you said trying to change the topic of the conversation.Â
« Thatâs besides the point, Y/N, and you know it. Was it Peter ? » asked Julie. She knew you too well.Â
« Whoâs Peter ? »
You couldnât believe it, Luke did not ever cared about your life or what you were doing, but there he was asking about the only boy in your life. And Peter is a friend nothing more you knew that.Â
« Heâs a good friend » you answered shortly. « okay, I have to run, bye guys. You killed it one more time. »Â
You left quickly. As you were standing in the Molinaâs driveway you realized you forgot your bag. You went back to the studio to pick it up. You heard the guys talked, you did not mean to eavesdrop but you were a little bit curious of what they were talking about when itâs just the three of them.Â
« I know what this is about. Youâre jealous of all the attention Peter is getting. » you recognized Alex voice. But to who was he talking ? Who could be jealous about your friendship with Peter ? They donât even know the guy for crying out loud.Â
« Especially from Y/N. » added Reggie.Â
Oh. So they were talking to Luke. About you. What in the world is happening now.Â
« Please. You think I care if Y/N gives another guy a little attention? How insecure do you think I am ? » you heard Lukeâs voice, a little bit higher than ordinary.Â
The three boys stayed in silence for a few seconds.Â
« Seriously, how insecure do you think I am ? » exclaimed Luke in annoyance.Â
« Bro, dont get mad. Itâs just that we know you and we donât understand why you are acting like she is yours when you have never said more than five sentences in a row to her. Just imagine how she is feeling, if we donât understand, how could she ? » Wise words spoken by Alex.Â
You thought it was the best moment to enter the room like you did not hear what they said. You did not even know what was that all about. Luke is jealous ? And like Alex said, he never spoke to you and yet he pulled the jealous card.Â
You picked up the bag from the floor as they stared at you with wide eyes and left without saying anything left.Â
« Do you think she heard us ? » asked Reggie.Â
« Nah. Nahhhh⊠she would have said something right ? » enquires Luke.Â
« I think you should ask Julie, I mean they are friends, she knows probably more than we do. »Â
A week later you found the strength to go support the band during rehearsals. As you stepped in the garage, you were faced with Luke adorning a bright smile.Â
« Hi Y/N ! » he said with a cheerful voice.Â
Once again, you were gobsmacked. What happened during the week you didnât see them ?Â
« Uhh, hi ? »Â
Luke saw the bewilderment on Y/Nâs face and thought about his conversation earlier this week with Julie. He didnât know how to approach her and ask questions about Y/N.Â
« Uhm, Julie. I was wondering, if by any luck, you know why Y/N is coming less to the studio ? » he just finished his sentence and Julie was already looking at him like she was ready to jump on him and hit him.Â
« Are you kidding me ? Sheâs coming less and less because you are not really the most welcoming person around here. She feels like when sheâs here and you are as well, like she is a burden because you never talked to her and you just brush under the carpet everything she tries to say. » she said without taking a breath.Â
It hit Luke, since the first day in Julieâs room when he saw her, he knew that if he let enter his world they would be both hurt. But by rejecting her he did the same, even worse.Â
« So we wanted to play to you our new song and then we could do movie night ? » Luke suggested with his puppy dogâs eyes.Â
You were a bit taken aback to say the least but nonetheless you smiled at him and nodded to his proposition.Â
« Weâre Julie and the phantoms and this is bright » Luke begin as if he was at a real gig.Â
« Tell your friends !» Added Reggie.      Â
The performance was on fire. They all played their hearts out and it was just breathtaking. They let go of their instruments and all of them piled up on the couch for love night. You were at the far end of the couch, squeezed between the armrest and Lukeâs huge biceps. They decided to watch high school musical 3, aka the best movie in the whole world. You sang every song so does Julie. And Luke kept watching you as you were dancing and singing.Â
« What ? » you asked him a little embarrassed, cheeks red and a small smile on your face.Â
« Nothing, youâre just cute » he blurred out. Everyone suddenly stayed still, and your cheeks reddened at his words.Â
You just took your spot on the couch and try to forget he said that.Â
Movie night definitely was the turnaround in Luke and yourâs relationship. He was more friendly, always trying to make you laugh, always trying to see your smile. But what he enjoyed the most was seeing you blush. He would always make a comment about how cute you were, about how nice and pretty you were and so on. The other members could not take it anymore.Â
« When are you going to tell her that you liked her ?! We are sick of seeing you flirt with each other. » complained Alex. Luke didnât even respond, he just smiled looking down at his shoes with a soft blush.Â
« I donât know man, I mean it all seems complicated. I mean sheâs her and Iâm, well a ghost »
« I did not take you for a quitter. » Julie chimed in. « Luke you like her and she obviously feel something for you ! You just have to tell her »Â
You were at your house working on your calculus homework when you just received a text from Julie : « 911, need you asap, meet me in the garage. »Â
You let your calculus book on your desk and almost run to the house next to yours. As you enter the garage you didât see anyone. Was it a joke ?
And then, you saw Luke, in his famous tank top, his arms popping out, his hair under the orange beanie that you liked so much.Â
« Julie sent me a text, is there an emergency ? » you asked after having finish drooling over Luke.Â
« Y/N, umm, I need to say something to you, and itâs not simple, and Iâm really nervous. I mean what if the others were wrong and what if it changes everything ? »Â
« Luke, calm down, youâre rambling, I donât understand a word you say. »
« I just wanted to say that I like you Y/N. Like like you like you. I know it might be a little complicated between us ».Â
You didnât let him finish and took him in your arms. Wait ? In your arms.Â
« You, you can touch me, what is that ? »Â
The shock pass and you decided to make him more shocked. You pushed your lips to his. They felt warm against yours (who wouldâve thought). Your lips and his moved in sync seeming to not having enough of each other.Â
« Ewwww, you guys could do that somewhere private »Â
You snapped out of your trance and saw Alex, Reggie and Julie looking at you shocked.Â
« Wait you can touch him? » Julie exclaimed.Â
She extended her hand to Alex and she did not go through him. Almost instantly everyone formed a group hug so happy to be able to add this Â«ïżœïżœpower » to their relationships.Â
The group tumbled on the floor. You were crushed by Reggie bod, yourself crushed on lukeâs body.Â
« Hey there » he said in a whisper, looking in your eyes.Â
You tilted your head and kissed him whatâs again.Â
« O Câmon guys ! Please! »Â
You laughed, burying your head in the scruff of his neck. Â

7 Months
Requested: Yes:Â Could you possibly do a reader x Sweet Pea? Where the reader is Reggie little sister and she's dating Sweet pea and he finds out? Maybe a little angsty and fluffy?
A/N: Â Thankyou to my favorite human and beta @wayward-riverâ she helped me so much with this fic, so much so we actually co-wrote it. At first I had no inspiration and she helped me so much and gave me inspiration
Warning: a few fight scenes, guns scene from riverdale w/ archie.
You laid back against Sweet Pea as he mindlessly drew shapes on your arms while the TV played, you didnât even remember what movie you had put in as your mind was in overdrive lately. Sweet Pea had won you over seven months ago. Seven months of pure happiness yet no one knew.
âPea?â
âHmm pretty girl?â
âDo you care that no one knows?â You picked at your nails as you stared at the wall in front of you. His hands stopped moving.
âNo.â he paused as his hands started to draw circles again. âDo I wish I could take you out and show you off? Yeah, I hate that I have to pretend that I donât know you at school-â His words were cut off as the trailer door began opening, you jumped forward as you tried to scramble to run to the bathroom but it was too late, neither of you had any warning as Fangs and Toni waltzed into the small living room.
Fangs and Toni stood as they stared at the both of you mouths agape. âWhat, how, when?â It seems like Fangs couldnât even form a full sentence.
You ducked your head as you gave a small wave.
âGuys do you uh knowâŠâ
âY/N Mantle⊠yeah we do.â
âCool everyone knows everyone.â Sweet Pea tried his best to play everything off.
âNu-uh, how long have you two lovebirds been cuddled up.â
âFirst off Fogarty, how weird are you? Second uh, well...â
âSeven months.â You finished for him as you glanced a look up.
âYou kept a secret from me for seven months?â
âFangs I had to.â
âI asked him too, you uh both know who my older brother is⊠and weâd appreciate it if he doesnât find out⊠yet.â
Toni folded her arms across her chest âHow do we know this isnât some ploy you and your southside hating brother has come up with?â
âShe would never do that Toni, and I love you like a sister but donât ever talk to her like that, she is nothing like her idiot brotherâ
âPea!â
âSorry babe, but itâs trueâŠâ
âI know, but you donât have to say it out loudâ you pushed him slightly, a chuckle coming out of him, and the smile that made you fall so quick. âDo you guys wanna watch the movie with us?â
âYes!â
âFangs chill youâre like a lost puppyâ
âPea be nice!â
âSorry they interrupted our cuddle sesh and I donât appreciate it, but you guys can stay cause y/n offeredâ You drug him to the couch sitting down throwing your legs over his lap and cuddled into his side as Toni took the chair and Fangs leaned up against the side while sitting on the floor.
After a few hours of you mainly sleeping on the side of the couch, Sweet Pea had decided to take you home, you had tried to protest, telling him youâd just stay over but he wouldnât risk it without a good cover, normally heâd want to piss off the older Mantle but looking at you he just wanted to protect your happiness.
Sweet Pea pulled his truck to the side of the road a block away from your house, he never chanced taking the bike when he wanted to take you home. You shivered as you slid across the seat to kiss him goodnight.
Goosebumps erupted on your arms as his hands rubbed up and down them. âBabe youâre freezing.â Sweet Pea reached into the back pulling out one of his flannels.
You took the flannel not even thinking about where you were headed. It was warm and smelled like him. Woodsy smoke and vanilla, almost like how your clothes smell after a bonfire. You leaned forward placing a quick peck to his cheek. âIâll text you when Iâm behind the enemy lines.â
Sweet Pea rolled his eyes as he gently pushed you out of the truck, watching you until you turned the corner, he never told you but heâd always inch the truck up slowly, making sure he made as little noise as possible to make sure you made it into your house safely.
You let out a content sigh as you walked into your house. Both of your parents' cars were gone, you thought you were pretty safe until you looked up into the questioning eyes of your older brothers.
âHey Reg, what up bro?â
âWhat are you wearing?â
You looked down at yourself, your mind trying to calm you down. âUhm a flannel?â
âYou donât wear flannels, I donât wear flannels, and it looks a little big on you so Iâd say that flannel belongs to a boy.â
You threw your hands up in mock surrender. âOh you got me, itâs Jakeâs we went for Pops and then went to the park and itâs chilly, he was a perfect gentleman. You should be proud at least one of your bulldogs has class.
Reggie watched you as you hurried up the stairs. He wasnât quite sure if he believed you. You had been acting shady lately and he was going to get to the bottom of it.
You had texted Sweet Pea after school and had been around him and Fangs all afternoon. It was getting pretty late but you hadnât wanted to go home so you decided to walk with them to the small convenience store for some popcorn and candy for the movie night you had planned, your parents and Reggie thinking you were in Greendale at a friends house.
You walked beside them for a while until you focused on what looked like Archie tagging the side of a building. âWhat the fuck is he doing?â
At this point both boys had seen what had captured your attention. Sweet Pea and Fangs headed over.
âHey what the hell are you doing?â
Archie glanced over, âBack off Iâm not here for you.â
âOh yeah? Then whose this message for huh?â Sweet Pea got closer as he shoved Archie.
Archie tried to move forward both Fangs and Sweet Pea stopped him. âThis is Serpent Territory you canât just come here and tag our turf, so why donât you get your ass back to the Northside, before somebody gets hurt.â
Your eyes flickered back and forth between the two boys wildly. Why couldnât both sides just get along?
âGet out of my way, or someone will get hurt.â
You had never heard Archie talk like that before. Why was he being like this?
At his words Sweet Pea pushed you back behind him farther as Fangs stepped over blocking your view entirely.
âYou just made a big mistake.â
You could hear the click of Sweet Peas switchblade, you looked to the ground as your heart raced.
At this point everything was eerily silent. Until Sweet Pea and Fangs started backing up, Sweet Peas hands behind him making sure he wouldnât run into you and you were still behind him protected and out of view. Â
âWHO MADE A MISTAKE!â
What was Archie on?
âCâmon let's go!â Sweet Pea turned making sure he was still blocking you as he mouthed the word run.
You never took Sweet Pea lightly so when he mouthed that with the worried look in his eyes you gave a slight nod as you tried to run away with them as silently as you could.
You stopped a few blocks away.
âWhat-did oh my goodness.â You put your hands on your knees as you bent down. Sweet Pea laid his hand on your back.
âHey breathe, weâre okay. Everyone is okay.â
You listened to the sound of his voice as you took a few breaths, standing back up you assessed Sweet Pea. âAre..are you okay?â
âMe? Baby Iâm good. I promise.â He paused as he looked to Fangs. âThat redhead on the other hand, heâs in for it.â
You spent the rest of the night wrapped in Sweet Peas arms, he seemed to hold onto you just a little tighter.
Ever since the other night you didnât like being away from Sweet Pea for very long and it had been a few days, you paced back and forth in your room trying to decide what to do. Your decision was made for you when you pulled out your found and hit his name. Instantly calming when you heard him answer.
âHey babe can I come over?â
âYeah, of course, I need to run out with Toni and Fangs though...Serpent stuff is happeningâ
âBe safe okay?â
âOf course princess, always gotta come home to you plus youâre waiting there for me, even more reason, I love you and Iâll see you in a bitâ
You waited for a while, the last time you checked your watch an hour had gone by, an hour turned into two and two into two and a half, it drew the line for you. You were about to leave to go to the Wyrm terrified beyond belief of what could have happened to him. Pea was your world constantly making you smile when no one else could. You grabbed one of his hoodies and your keys about to walk out the door when it slammed open, you jumped back and grabbed the bat next to the counter, you shut your eyes ready to swing until you heard his voice.
âBaby itâs me!â
âSorry I thoughtâŠâ You looked up to a bloody and bruised Sweet Pea standing in front of you âWhat the fuck happened to youâ
âThere was a fightâ You ran up to him placing a hand on his cheek as he leaned into you
âGo sit on the couch baby and Iâll get the washcloth and med boxâ
âJust come sit with me, just wanna have you closeâ You looked at him wanting so bad to help him clean up but you knew more than ever that right now all he wanted was you, so you helped him sit and then laid our head across his lap as he leaned down into your touch as your fingers raked through his hair and his moved up and down your leg.
âTell me what happened, I wanna know Pea, Who did it to you Peaâ
âBaby itâs not importantâŠâ
âPea tell meâŠâ
âI canâtâ
âPea. You promised me no secrets. Weâre in this together.â
âFine, it was your brotherâ
âMy brother!â you sat straight up the news shocking you more than anything
âDid you just say my brother did this to you! Iâm gonna kill himâ You got up grabbing your keys, running out of the house. Pea tried to stop you before you could leave but he barely made it to the last step when you peeled out of the driveway.
You barged into your house slamming the door behind you, silently thankful that your parents were away on a business trip. You ran to the stairs yelling up, imaging Reggie was up there cleaning up his face. âReginald!â
âY/N what the fuck are you yelling aboutâ you watched him come down the stairs, dabbing at his eyebrow with a washcloth. You walked up shoving him back
âWhat the fuck is wrong with you! Â I canât fucking believe youâ
âWhatâŠâ
âLike fuck Reggie, I just donât understand what goes through your fucking... â Before you could get another word out the door behind you opened, and you felt a hand on your shoulder.
âY/N leave it, itâs fineâ
âNo Pea itâs not fucking fineâ
âWhat the fuck are you doing here snake, get the fuck out of my houseâ
âHe doesnât have to leave Reggie, you donât have the fucking authority to make him, so stop while your fucking ahead or I wonât hesitate to make you bleed form your other eyebrow got itâ
ây/n why the fuck are you defending him!â
âBecause heâs my fucking boyfriendâ
âIâm sorry what!â
âAs in I am dating himâ
âYeah, I got that part, what the fuck do you mean youâre dating him!â
âY/N just drop it, youâre never gonna change his opinionâ
âDonât fucking talk for her snake!â You watched Reggie barrel towards Sweet Pea, you stepped in front of him, quickly being knocked down by Reggie in the process.
ây/n Iâm sorry!â Reggie stared at you as Pea reached down checking you out and helping you up, he whispered asking if you were all right before kissing the side of your head
âThis is what happens Reggie! You care more about where someone comes from and how they are seen than who they are. Sweet Pea is a good guy, he takes care of meâ
âThere is no fuckin way he could do that Y/N, Iâm sorry I pushed you, but he is a fucking snake, heâs in a fucking gang, I mean he fights people! He does bad shit, ask anyone! The Sheriff, Archie, anyone will tell you they are bad peopleâ
âThe âtheyâ you talk aboutâŠâ Pea grabbed your hand speaking up.
âListen we donât have to agree on much, but I wonât let you drag her away from me. I love your sister, I protected her when we got a fucking gun pulled on us because of your dumbass of a best friend, , and I will protâŠâ
âWait You were there when Archie went!â
âYou knew Archie went to the Southside to pull a fucking gun!â
âNo I didnât know he pulled the gun til after the fact, but why didnât you fucking tell meâ
âGuess we both have that question for each otherâ
âHow did he not know you were there, did he see you!â
âHe didnât see me⊠I was hanging out with Pea and some of our friends when they caught him tagging the wall, none of us expected him to pull a gun, Pea pushed me behind him to protect meâ
Reggie looked between the both of you and then down to your hands that were intertwined. âYou, uh.â You watched him take a breath, almost like he was preparing himself for something.
âYou uh protected her? Before yourself?â
âYeah?â
Reggie looked skeptical, âWhy?â
âI love her, Iâd protect her from anything. I hate seeing her upset and hurt and itâs been hard for her keeping this from you,â
âDid you decide that?â Reggie crossed his arms cutting Sweet Pea off.
âNo, I didnât.â
Reggie looked at you then. âWhy didnât you tell me?â
âI love you Reg, but you donât see what I see and I know you take the brunt of mom and dad so maybe thatâs why you have this built up hatred but I love Sweet Pea, I was scared to tell you because I didnât want this to happen.â You motioned in between the both of them.
âWell he showed up looking for a fight.â
You scoffed. âAndrews pulled a gun. He had it coming.â
Reggie sighed. âLook, I canât tell you I like this...I donât but if you are happy... I can try. Donât expect us to be friends though.â
You nodded your head as you wrapped your brother in a hug.
âThat's all I ask. Thank you.â
âYeah, yeah. Get out of here before mom and dad get home, thereâs been enough excitement for one night.â
You grabbed Sweet Pea as you headed back out the door.
âI know thatâs not how you pictured him finding out, but Iâm glad itâs out now.â
You smiled as you stood on your tiptoes placing a kiss onto his cheek. âYeah, me too.â
Sweet Pea gave a soft smile. âYou staying with me tonight baby girl?â
âYeah letâs go home.â

Never Look Back
Bethany Rae Cooper didnât realize when she met the Winchesters in her familyâs bar and grill that her life would never be the same. But sheâs always believed that everything happens for a reason, even if itâs not exactly what you were expectingâŠ
âBethany Rae! Â Get your butt back in here!â Â Beth heard her stepfatherâs voice clearly through the front door as she strode angrily away from the bar, her long dark ponytail swinging with each step. Â "Beth! Â I mean it!â
"Iâm out of here, Rick. Â Iâm done. Â See you around,â she shouted back, unlocking her dingy-white beat-up â65 Ford Fairlane and climbing behind the wheel, slamming the door. Â She threw up a cloud of dust as she backed up and tore out of the dirt parking lot, fishtailing a little as she hit the main road.
Her thoughts flew furiously as she drove. Â Seriously! Â Did Rick and her mom think she was going to let them treat her like a child forever? Â She was twenty-freaking-five years old, and they had the nerve to try and tell her who she could go out with! Â The guys that left about a half an hour before her were bothâwell, hot, with that sense of danger around them that seemed to draw her like an alcoholic to his whiskey. Â And when the one who introduced himself as Dean had asked her to leave with him, her mother had come unglued and ordered them out of the bar. Â Actually, unglued was an understatementâshe had never seen her mom so upset, and accusing her of overreacting just made things worse. Â Dean had slipped her his cell number as he left, winking, and she had stuffed it into her pocket so her mother wouldnât see. Â Beth reached for her pocketâthe scrap of paper was still there. Â She smiled defiantly to herself, then reached for the ipod and cranked some tunes, driving a little too fast as usual and letting the music wash over her, fitting her angry mood.
She came to a screeching stop in the driveway of their faded two-story house, slamming her car door and walking with determination to the front door. Â She took the stairs two at a time, grabbing a suitcase from her closet and throwing clothes into it with abandon. Â She filled a duffle bag with more, then grabbed a box and added her CDâs, laptop, a few books and pictures, and anything else she could think of on the spur of the moment. Â She had threatened before, but this time she was really leaving, and she wanted to be gone before her mother or Rick had a chance to catch up to her. Â She loaded her car quickly, then left her small Midwest home town in her rearview mirror, not even caring about a destination. Â All she cared about was getting away.
She thought with frustration of the two years she had been gone from home, free, pursuing what she wanted to do with her life. Â It had been twoâno, three years now. Â Nursing school. Â She did well, tooâand then her mom had the heart attack, and she came home to help out, then let them guilt her into staying to help run the bar and grill. Â Gave up her dream to help her family, and in return they tried to run her life. Â Wellâno more.
It was already 1 a.m., and she knew she needed to find a motel room for the night. Â Hopefully they wouldnât follow her out of town. Â Theyâd think this was just a tantrum, and by the time they realized differently, they hopefully wouldnât be able to find her. Â Not that she didnât plan to let them know she was all rightâjust not for a few days. Â She spotted the motel sign, lights partly burned out, about 30 miles from Lovell, just on the edge of Greybull, and pulled into the parking lot. Â She walked into the office, reaching for the cash in her pocket, and stopped dead as she met the green gaze and wide smile of Dean Winchester, who was standing near the front door.
âWellâlook who just crashed our party, Sammy,â he said, his voice husky and warm. Â "Beth, right?â
Beth felt herself blush a little, nodding with a half smile. Â "Yeah. Â And youâre Dean, and you,â she said, turning towards the taller man, âare Sam.â
âRight,â Sam answered, nodding with a friendly smile. Â "I take it you continued that shouting match with your mother after we left.â
"You have no idea,â she answered, shaking her head as she stepped up to the desk. Â "Single room, please.â Â She registered and paid for her room, then turned to face the brothers, who stood waiting for her to finish. Â Deanâs smile was gone from his face, and she looked at him quizzically. Â "Something wrong?â
He shook his head, squinting a little as he looked at her. Â "Look, I didnât mean to cause trouble for you. Â Didnât even know that was your mother, in fact. Â I hope youâre not burning any bridges here.â
She looked back at him, one hand tucked into the back pocket of her jeans. Â "Donât worry about me. Â This has been coming for a long time. Â Tonight was just the last straw.â Â They walked out of the office together, grabbing bags from their vehicles and heading for the doors to their rooms, which were next door to each other. Â
âWant to come in for a drink?â Dean threw the invitation over his shoulder as he entered their room, then turned to wait for an answer.
She stared at him, tempted for a moment, but then smiled and shook her head. Â "Look, no offense, but I donât really know you guys. Â But thanks for the offer.â
The smirk was back on Deanâs face, and it made her heart falter a little. Â "Smart girl,â he countered, and Sam smiled as he waved goodnight, closing the door behind them. Â
Beth entered her room, throwing her bag on the bed and shaking her head at the hideous early-70âs decor. Â She dead-bolted her door and headed for the shower, hoping it wasnât too disgusting. Â She was pleasantly surprised at the cleanliness, which helped somewhat to make up for the ugly. Â She put on an old threadbare t-shirt and a pair of shorts, brushed through her long dark hair, and crawled into bed, sighing with relief and exhaustion. Â It didnât take long for her to drift off to sleep, deciding that morning would be soon enough to figure out where she was going.
A loud crash jolted Beth from a deep sleep, and she lay there, not sure if she had really heard it or if she had been dreaming. Â She squinted at the alarm clock, which read 4:23; then another crash and a muffled shout startled her completely awake, her heart pounding. Â The sounds were coming from next door, Sam and Deanâs room, and she scrambled out of her bed, heading for the door. Â She stepped outside, planning to knock and ask them if they were all right, but the door was standing wide open. Â She moved aside barely in time to avoid being flattened by a body flying out of the opening, and stood open-mouthed as Dean looked up at her, his face bloodied. Â "Get back to your room!â he ordered harshly, launching himself up from the ground and rejoining the chaos inside. Â Beth backed up, her eyes wide, and did as she was told, listening, horrified, to the noises coming through the walls. Â
A few seconds later, it seemed as if the silence was deafening in contrast. Â Beth debated with herself, but concern for the men next door won out, and she left her room again, going to their door. Â Sam was slowly getting up, while Dean wasâholy crap, he was pulling a knife from the body he knelt next to on the floor. Â A small sound escaped her lips, before she had time to clap her hand over her mouth. Â Deanâs expression as he looked towards her frightened her almost more than the scene before her, and she turned and ran back to her room, Samâs voice calling out her name behind her. Â She grabbed her phone, shaking with shock, and heard Sam calling her name, banging on her door. Â "Beth, pleaseâjust let me talk to you. Â I need to explain whatâs going on.â Â He sounded very calm, but she was scared out of her wits. Â
âLeave me alone! Â I just saw your brother stab someone! Â I have to get the police!â
âNo, Bethâplease. Â Just let me explain. Â Please.â Â She was hesitating, and she didnât understand why.
âHow do you explain him pulling a knife out of someoneâs body?â
The next voice she heard was Deanâs. Â "Bethâopen the door. Â We need to talk.â
"No freaking way! Â You are not getting in here!â Â The door flew inward with a crash, and Beth backed away with a small shriek, dropping her phone and backing into the wall. Â The panic she felt was so intense she was seeing spots before her eyes, and she could hear Samâs voice trying to calm her.
âBeth, please listen. Â Weâre not going to hurt you. Â Just calm down and let us explain.â Â Sam walked towards her slowly, stopping to pull a chair out from the small table nearby. Â "Please, Beth.â Â He nodded towards the chair, and Beth peeled herself from the wall and perched there, ready for instant flight. Â She glanced, terrified, at Dean, who sat on the bed next to his brother, staring at the floor, the muscles in his jaw working. Â He picked that moment to look up, and she was relieved to see that the murderous, chilling expression he had worn earlier was gone. Â He looked frustrated and tired, and he spoke softly to her.
"Beth, I know this is going to be hard to believe, but what we just killed in thereâthey were demons.â
Her dark eyes widened in disbelief. Â "Demons.â Â She turned her gaze to Sam, who looked back at her calmly, and nodded as he answered.
"Thatâs rightâdemons.â
âDemons? Â Like 'The Exorcist?ââ
Deanâs voice was quiet but tense. Â "Yeah. Â Demons. Â Head-spinning, pea soup-spewing, pain-in-my-ass demons.â Â His cell phone rang just then, and he grabbed it roughly from his pocket, standing and moving to just outside the door of her room. Â "Bobbyâgot anything?â
Beth looked at Sam again, her mind reeling. Â "Sam, seriously? Â Those things are real? Â I mean, I thought they were, but not here. Â In hell. Â Where they belong.â
"Theyâre real. Â Unfortunately. Â And their boss is kind of pissed at us. Â He thinks we have something that belongs to him, and he wants it back.â âSatan is pissed at you? Â Thatâs great.â
âNot Satan. Â Crowley,â Dean answered as he entered the room. Â "Bobbyâs got nothing right now, Sam. Â But heâs working on a better way to hide us from them. Â Apparently heâs found a way around our hex bags.â
"Crowley?!â Â Bethâs voice was incredulous as she stared back at Dean. Â "Hex bags? Â You guys are seriously yanking my chain.â
"No, weâre not.â Â He met her gaze full-on, and she almost flinched. Â "I know how crazy this sounds, believe me.â
"If those are demons, why donât they disappear when you kill them?â
âThis isnât 'Charmed,â sweetheart. Â They donât disappear. Â At least the bodies theyâre possessing donât. Â What we have in there,â he nodded towards their room, âis whatâs left of the poor sons of bitches they possessed. Â Most of the time the only thing keeping the bodies alive are the demons inside. Â They just wear them like a rental tux for the prom.â
A single tear was making its way down Bethâs face, and she brushed it angrily away. Â "Youâre telling me that those things can get inside anybody? Â Every person I meet could really be a demon? Â They just stroll around up here like they own the place?â
"Look, weâre not trying to scare you, Beth.â Â Sam spoke in a soothing voice, but she looked at him, eyes wide with fear. Â
âReally? Â Youâre scaring the crap out of me. Â Good job.â
Dean approached the table, pulling the other chair out and sitting down in front of her. Â "Beth, Iâm sorry. Â I wish you had never seen any of this. Â But you have to believe us, we are the good guys.â
"How do you know those things arenât going to possess you?  How do youâŠâ  Deanâs hand went to the neck of his t-shirt, and he pulled it down to reveal a symbol tattooed on his upper left chest.  She looked over at Sam, who was doing the same.
âAnti-possession symbol,â Sam answered quietly. Â "We had amulets, but we figured in our line of work, we needed something more permanent.â
"And what exactly is your line of work?â Beth asked, her voice shaking a little. Â She looked up into Deanâs green eyes, and was surprised to see a brief flash of vulnerability, quickly masked.
âWeâre hunters. Â We hunt demons, and monsters, and ghosts. Â Whatever evil thing we run across. Â We try to save as many people as we can.â Â He looked back up at her, unflinching, waiting for her reaction.
Beth stared back at him, her eyes wide. Â A few seconds passed before she shook her head, closing her eyes for a moment. Â "You guys have to be crazy. Â Thatâs the only explanation.â
"Well, darling, I suppose you could be right. Â But what they just told you is the truth.â Â Beth almost fell to the floor as she leapt from her chair and whirled around to see where the sarcastic voice was coming from. Â Deanâs chair hit the floor as he stood, an angry sneer on his face.
âCrowley!"
"Good. Â You know me, and I know you. Â Now tell me, who is this charming new friend of yours?â
âWhere did you come from?â Beth stammered, backing up by the headboard, as far as she could get away from this new threat.
âHell, darlingâand I need to get back. Â You canât find good help these days.â
âThen you should go, donât you think?â Dean growled. Â "And she has nothing to do with this, or with us.â
Crowleyâs brows raised, and he threw a disbelieving look Deanâs direction. Â "Really? Â Seems like you were all getting rather cozy together. Â Breaking the ice, as it were. Â And she does look like your type, Dean.â Â After a few seconds of silence, he sighed impatiently. Â "All right. Â I can see weâre getting nowhere like this. Â Why donât you just tell me where it is, and we can avoid any more unpleasantness for the time being.â
"Screw you,â Dean ground out between clenched teeth, barely getting the words out before Crowley sent him flying with a wave of his hand. Â He crashed against the far wall, landing with a thud and a grunt of pain. Â Sam took a step towards the demon before Crowley spoke again.
âReally, Moose, do you think thatâs wise?â Â He looked towards Beth, who was still cowering by the bed. Â "You try to raise them right, teach them how to behave, and this is the thanks you get.â Â He twisted his hand in the air, clenching it into a fist, and Sam cried out in pain, dropping to his knees on the floor. Â
"Stop it! Â What do you want?!â Beth screamed at him, running to Samâs side. Â Crowley flashed an evil smile, and released Sam, who leaned back on the bed, breathing heavily.
âI like her, sheâs got spirit. Â Hope she can keep it.â Â Crowley folded his arms and continued. Â "Now, boys, I grow tired of this little game. Â Where is the Colt?â
Dean was sitting up slowly across the room. Â "We donât have it, you brain-dead dick. Â Remember a couple of years ago, the hunters that killed us and sent us to heaven? Â They cleaned us out. Â Havenât been able to find them since.â
Crowley sighed again. Â "Lovely. Â I think you Winchester boys had better get your priorities straight. Â I need that gun. Â And you need me to take you off my most wanted list. Â Sounds like a fair exchange, donât you think?â Â He tilted his head and grinned, then focused on Beth, who still knelt next to Sam. Â "Itâs been a pleasure meeting you, ducks. Â Iâm sure weâll be seeing each other again soon. Â I look forward to it.â Â As she gazed back at him, quaking with fear, he vanished.
âSam, are you all right?â Beth asked quietly. Â Sam nodded, and she rose to cross the room, kneeling next to Dean, who was leaning back against the wall under the windows. Â "Dean? Â How about you?â
Dean looked at her, his brows drawn together in frowning disbelief. Â "Iâll be fine. Â Sammy, my shoulderâs dislocated again. Â I could use a hand.â
Beth stood and moved away as Sam came to help his brother. Â She grabbed the ice bucket from the dresser and headed out to the ice machine a few doors down from their rooms. Â She was only gone for a moment, but as she drew near her door with the ice, Dean came flying out towards her. Â A look of pure relief crossed his face, followed by another frown as he grabbed her arm and pulled her into the room. Â "What the hell were you doing?â
"Getting some ice for your shoulder! Â Why the hell are you yelling at me?â Â She jerked her arm from his grasp, her dark-lashed eyes spitting fire back at him before she turned to go to the bathroom for a towel. Â She made an ice pack and, despite her anger, positioned it very carefully on his shoulder. Â He raised his other hand to hold it in place, glancing up at her with an abashed expression. Â
âThank you,â he muttered, then fired off a glare at his brother, who stood behind Beth, trying unsuccessfully to smother a grin.
âYouâre welcome.â Â Bethâs voice was short, but her hands were gentle as she put them on his face, tilting it to one side, then the other as she examined the cut on his forehead and one on his lip from the previous demon fight. Â "These need to be cleaned,â she murmured, turning to go back to the bathroom for the first aid kit and a clean cloth. Â Sam cleared his throat, and Dean shot him a murderous look, but his brother turned his back, shoulders shaking with silent laughter, as Beth approached. Â She took the warm washcloth and cleaned the cut on his forehead, then his split lip. Â He spoke softly as she dabbed antibiotic ointment on his forehead.
"You clean up after a lot of bar fights?â
âA few. Â And I went to nursing school for a couple of years, just didnât get to finish.â
âDean.â Â Samâs voice held a warning, and Beth looked down at Deanâs face in time to catch a leering grin. Â
Beth looked at him sternly. Â "Really?â Â But the corners of her mouth teased at a smile in spite of her efforts to stifle it.
"Could have used you in a couple of hospitals Iâve been in,â Dean teased, and Beth shook her head as she gathered up the first aid supplies. Â "So, when do I get my sponge bath?â Â That earned him a wet washcloth in the face, and Beth walked to the bathroom to put away the kit.
Sam shook his head, a disgusted look on his face. Â "Jerk.â
âBitch,â Dean retorted, tossing the wet rag at him.

~DFS Christmas Special~
No desire to draw lately, so Iâve been doing little prose sketches instead.
Just in time for December, hereâs what turned out to be Uncle Jack taking Al Christmas shopping. This would be circa 199X B.G. (Before Glenn), making Al in his early 20s.
(Watch out if you have high blood sugar, cos this gets KINDA SACCHARINE.)
It had finally stopped snowing, thank goodness. The fresh white blanket reflected crisp light in through the windows, making him feel chilled inside. Luckily Pop was a comfort creature who kept a stock of hot chocolate mix in the pantry. Al never seemed to reach for it back at his apartment, but something about visiting home in the winter months made a warm mug feel as essential as a limb.
Uncle Jack had asked Al to accompany him for some holiday shopping later, and a chocolate briquette would be good to have heating his gut. He took it to the couch in the living room. Someone had dug up the old photo books and left them on the coffee table a few days ago. Flipping through, he noticed that half the pages were completely emptyâ photography had never been a popular concept in the Czar household. The preserved moments were of family trips and landmarks, rambunctious sepia-washed office parties, Alâs school portraits. Rarer was anything taken inside the house. One shot of himself at four or five years old, standing on the yellow-sunlit staircase and showing the camera a toy car, surfaced a memory of being coached to keep his mouth closed so as not to alarm a 1-hour photo developer. Thinking on it, it may have been more than coincidence that most of these were instant Polaroids.
Through the window, he heard the muffled sound of a car door, then: âWhat the fuck are you doing!?â Hey, Popâs home. Al pulled back the curtain to watch the drama unfolding at the end of the driveway, where Uncle Jack had been chipping at the wall of powder the afternoon snowplow had left. Xav had just returned from morning errands and parked in the street, storming over the slush to stop his brother from working.
Cold air blasted from the foyer. Snow crunched as Xav shook out the snow shovel behind him. âWhy was he doing this by himself? Did you become a quadriplegic when I wasnât looking?â
Al flipped through the Rolodex in his head for the answer that would earn him the least amount of grief. He shrugged, as if confused by the absurdity of the question. âHe didnât ask.â
âI didnât ask, Max.â Jack took the shovel back. âBut youâre right, I should have. Reckon it was my vanity what did me inâ I canât stand to be upstaged by some young buck doing the same job in half the time.â He winked at his nephew. âWell, three-quarters.â
âOh, fuck off,â Xav spat, the corners of his mouth curling up against his will. âYou both know Iâm not being unreasonable. Youâre not a guest, Alan Henry. As far as Iâm concerned, you still live here. You earn your keep during the day, and MAYBE Iâll consider putting on my robe and letting you suckle dinner from my left tit.â
Al choked on his hot chocolate.
âShit. Careful on the carpet. Iâll get you a paper towel.â Xav left for the kitchen, grumble-exorcising demons as he walked. âIf Papa caught one of us sitting on our ass while the other did chores...â
Why did Pop have to save his best lines for when people were eating? Bent over and lapping chocolate out of the crevices of his palm, Al thought he saw a piece of marshmallow among the bubbles. Heh... hope that didnât come out of his nose.
âYou still need me to shovel?â he asked Jack.
âSon, I would be honored,â Jack nodded, holding the shovel on the doormat like a knight leaning on an orange sword. âGitcher boots on and you can finish the job before we head out. Iâll make sure your Pop watches the show from inside.â
Xav returned with the towels and a smirk. âTalking shit about me, Jack?â
âI was just sayinâ how youâll hate to see us go, but youâll love to watch us walk away.â
âGot that fucking right.â Al cleaned his face while Xav dabbed each of his fingers individually. An oddly tender gesture. âWhat are you two going out for, exactly?â
âJuuust... shoppinâ. I need Alanâs opinion on somethinâ.â
âUh-huh.â Secrets being a rare and dangerous thing in this family, there wasnât much question as to what this was really about. Especially between brothers who were as close as twins. But the holidays were about giving, after all, so Xav seemed to decide to give them the benefit of the doubt. A game is more fun when everybody plays along.
Truthfully, even Al wasnât sure what they were going to get for his father. A successful family man hitting his sixties doesnât want for much. By this point, Xav had enough neckties and â#1 Dadâ mugs to be buried surrounded by them like a pharaoh. Jack could always steal the show by reaching into his deep D.D.S. pockets or by making a new piece of furniture, but the son was held to no such standards. Xav had simple hobbies, and he seemed to have the house exactly how he wanted it. Was Al too old to make a coupon book, redeemable for hugs and remembering to use a coaster?
Or maybe his gift to Pop could be giving college another shot. Dropping out had caused some... friction, a flint-strikes-wood situation that had led to Al moving out of the house, and eventually out-of-state. He had to admit, the independence felt good. Putting his shoes on the coffee table, not having to tell anyone where he was going... heâd definitely become more promiscuous. No independent murders, though, which was starting to grate on him. Heâd realized lately that he had always expected to be allowed to do more, without his father and uncle. Maybe if he did what Pop wanted, things would calm down so he could move back to Michigan and use the cabin. But the idea of sitting in another classroom, taking notes on a subject he didnât care about, all for the promise of 50 years chained to a desk... It made him want to sleep forever.
When the car pulled up to the mall, Al was not surprised at all by the entrance his uncle had chosen. âMind if I peek in Sears?â Jack asked, as if wild horses could stop him.
Home improvement and appliance stores were another phenomenon Al only seemed to experience at home. The dusty, unvarnished smell and high ceilings had been a frequent backdrop during his childhoodâ for Jack, they seemed to be akin to a candy store. He was talented as a carpenter and repairman, and sincerely relished something going wrong with the house if it meant he could pull out his toolkit. He also liked to make things go wrong with human bodies on occasion, but there was a separate box for those tools waiting up at the cabin.
Two steps in the door, and a weary-looking holiday hire hit them up with a canned pitch: â...and Iâm happy to help you find whateverâs on your list!â Aggressive customer service, the bane of the paranoid shopper. Jack was the front line for shaking off overly helpful greeters, which Xav had called âthe second-worst thing to come out of the 80s after Iran-Contra.â
âJust lookinâ, God willingâ I brought my conscience with me to make me behave,â Jack looked to his nephew. âDonât let me buy a single screw, yâhear?â
âGot it. Bulk purchases only.â That earned Al a shove.
Salesperson successfully deflected, Jack ducked toward his usual corner: the big ticket carpentry goods. When Al caught up, he was running his hand over a table saw. As much as he loved his uncle, Al wasnât particularly interested in watching him fantasize about cutting wood, or even bone. âYou have a project in mind?â
âA bit of a science experiment, next time we play cards,â Jackâs pupils darted along the equipment, still in reverie. âIâve been readinâ a book about crucifixions, and how they affect the body.â
âOh, thatâs seasonal.â
ââCourse, I wonât be able to try it âtil next year. You think your Pop would let me pick out a rabbit by April?â Jack chuckled. He was not talking about the Easter bunny. âWe can see if she comes back to life after three days.â
Al snorted. âJesus.â
âPrecisely. Yâknow, Christ is usually depicted with holes in his hands, but in actuality, the Romans would have put the nails through his wrists.â Jack picked up Alâs arm to demonstrate, dancing fingers across his palm. âAinât much to take hold of in here. Itâs too fragile and open-ended. But if you move up the arm,ââ he pressed his thumb into the straightened portion of Alâs median nerveâ âYou can hook the radius and the ulna. Much better support.â Jackâs eyes flickered with glee. âAnd it hurts like a bitch!â
âWait, are you going to go first, or last?â Playing cards was usually a once-a-year affair, and the night Al looked forward to the most. If Jack snuffed her out before he had his turn...
âOh, donât worry, son. Done right, she could last for days.â Not that she would, since Pop would probably have something to say about that. âI just want to try, er... doinâ as the Romans do. And who knows, maybe youâll like it. Every bachelor eventually needs to have a girl nailed down!â
They cackled and then shushed each other, wincing like sneaky little boys at the idea that someone would hear them over the storeâs ambient shopping muzak. They really shouldnât talk like this in public, even with code words and euphemisms. Though over the years theyâd learned that people can be experts at ignoring whatâs right under their noses. Certainly none of the men had ever overheard anyone else planning a murder.
âItâs just a pipe dream, Iâm still in the planninâ stages,â Jack added. âAinât even got the lumber yet. So if you wanna put some packages under the tree that are, say, 4-by-6 and 72 inches long... I promise to be shocked when I unwrap âem.â
Alâs attention shifted over his uncleâs shoulder, to a shelf of handheld orbital sanders. Al was more of a hands-on kind of guyâ he still got a little queasy thinking about Jackâs experiment to see which sandpaper grit was the best at removing skin.
âSo what was it you wanted me to look at? I donât think Pop needs a crucifix for Christmas.â
âOh, Iâm just killinâ time before our appointment.â
âAppointment?â
âAt the photo studio. I want you to give your Pop a picture.â
â...of us?â
âNaw, just you.â
Al loved that. âYeah, thatâd be hilarious. Merry Christmas, Pop, I got you me!â
A pause. âOh, youâre serious.â
âAs a heart attack, son. Itâs just what he needs.â
âDo you have, I donât know, a backup plan?â Al faltered. âSomething less self-centered? Iâm not exactly his favorite person right now. He kind of thinks Iâm a failure.â
âAlan, you are not a failure. You are...â Jack patted his nephewâs cheek. âAn unbroken mustang who has not yet found his ranch. And your father is just tryna keep you from beinâ sold as horse meat.â He slid them into a far aisle for more privacy. âHe worries about you a lot, and he misses you somethinâ fierce.â
Al chewed his cheek. âWell, talk to him about showing it sometime.â
âNo, son,â Jack took him by the shoulder, looking around to make sure they were alone. âYour father cries. At night when he talks about you, he starts wellinâ up like a waif. He doesnât need to hear that you know about it, but itâs the Godâs honest truth. All he talks about is wantinâ you back home.â
âI think movinâ out has been good for you, and Iâm happy you did it. But it wounded him to his core. Youâre his heart, kid.â
Al wasnât sure how he was taking this information, but he knew how he was supposed to. He scrunched his eyes closed and took a deep breath.
âOkay... If youâre completely sure he wonât think itâs stupid.â
âAre you kiddinâ? Heâll put it on the nightstand.â Jack grinned. âAnd if you smile for it real nice, Iâll take you to that steakhouse in the plaza after.â
Al cocked an eyebrow. âYou were gonna go there anyway.â
âYes. Yes, I was. But wonât you enjoy your ribeye that much more knowinâ youâve earned it?â Mmn, maybe. âBesides... did you have any better ideas?â

Come Christmas Day, Xav had unwrapped the waist-up portrait and just said âthank youââ which was worrying because he was usually much more verbose than thatâ and gone silent in his chair. At least he wasnât mad. Al looked to Jack, who smiled knowingly and handed him a package to keep the gift exchange going.
Al figured it was because Jack had given him something funny, but then he heard his father breathe in sharply.
âMaudit tabarnak... you fucking assholes,â Xavâs voice sounded high and squeaky, like it was being squeezed through slabs of rock. He ducked his chin into his bedshirt collar to hide his face.
âYou, fucking... whyâd you have to...â He shook his hand at the framed photo. Oh boy, he really did hate it. The whole idea was idiotic. Al had sat in front of that artfully-mottled green backdrop and squinted for a man with a bow tie and no indoor voice for nothing, except for the sheer discomfort of it. And a ribeye steak with a baked potato.
Xav blinked up at the ceiling and gulped, his Adamâs apple fluctuating grotesquely. Eventually he seemed to find his voice again. âWhy didnât you tell me you were having pictures taken, so I could make sure he had his fucking hair combed?â He showed them the photo. âLook at his bangsâ theyâre all over the fucking place.â
Al had to admit, they did look a little wild. âAw, shoot. Sorry, Pop,â he laughed.
Jack tutted. âI think it looks nice. Rugged.â
âThatâs because you donât know how to comb your hair either, Jack.â Xav brought the photo back into his lap, looking it over. âLooks like he fought a bear before sitting down. But donât worry, I still like it. You look handsome, kid. Maybe I can find some space on my nightstand.â Al and Jack exchanged victory grins, and didnât catch Xav wiping tears from both eyes.
