In the latest game Octavio got over his hatred for Inklings (Craig's species) and used his flying mech to help defeat the BBEG of the game. After the final fight, Craig said something to the effect of 'that old rascal turned out to be not so bad!'.

judging by this picture, i like to think bob came from a more wealthy family. though, this can just be him in a business meeting, or some other formal event.

also, i like to think that bob was.. probably found at a low point with his cannibalism, and given a chance out to join the cult. idk. he probably escaped on his own in sm1 though

my favorite one to explore so far, eyes. i love eyes, specifically because of the fact we know NOTHING of their ability and their reasoning of why they inhabit this earth. to me, theyre a parasitic alien. sent, or either just out of hunger to drain the planet. i like to think that they desire to grab the human race, and put it under their control. whether it be hatred, for sadistic fun, or just for their own satisfaction. maybe controlling humans factor into their feeding. who knows.

anyway, thats where the cult comes in. tricking and playing with humans, eventually getting skiddad to lead all these people along.

my idea of eyes powers, really comes down to this. this is only what we have seen throughout sm2-sm6

johns daughter is teased through pictures and drawings. it is either thought she died in the housefire in sm4, or was kidnapped, and is currently being held hostage. i like the held hostage situation better, because it adds greater stakes.

we dont know much about her, but she seems to be a bubbly young girl, and john is grief-stricken once he loses her. also, i feel its implied that he is divorced.

my idea, is that multiple cult members helped with the operation, and kidnapped JD while she was sleeping.

see, this is good (on the cults end) for multiple reasons.

while it doesnt remove john off their trail, it does deteriorate him with the loss of his child. though, if anything this makes him more determind to stop the cult.

BUT, they burned the evidence too, he is now rather powerless unless he gains all his evidence back, which would take a while.

idk. i imagine the cult try to bargain with john. and why i think of this, is because of the little poster thats likely to be a spoiler/hint for future episodes.

i mean, long hair, tealish smoke.. it could be JD being possessed? and john having to pick and choose between getting off the cults ass, or having his daughter back (and alive). shrug. thats just my theory.

now, this is awesome because theres a very clear tie to skid and the cult. especially with skiddad and stuff.

we know from sm2, that skid is immune to eye's stun/dazing, so this can easily lead us to the fact that skiddad was connected to the cult a little before skid was born.

also! i wanna make it super clear with how lila tries to erase skiddad from everything. countless photos torn apart (specifcally of skiddads face), even ones in the attic.

lila seems to be awfully protective of skid, fearful of the cult in its entirety, but also mournful of what her husband had become. and having to possibly murder him in fear and protection of her and her son being involved.

The new UrbanSPOOK episode sure was something huh? I wanna talk about a few things (there's a lot so bear with me)

SPOILERS AHEAD FOR URBANSPOOK: HELL (don't worry I wont display any of the paintings or images from the episodes)

First thing I wanna talk about is Mona and Bill eating some of their victims. I actually had this theory at some point that they were eating people because of Sean. His painting was "The Man In The Pipes", so at first I assumed he was stuffed down a pipe in the home, but then FAMILY was uploaded, alongside the painting of the supposed fetus shoved down Paul's throat. Im too lazy to check, but if I remember right, the painting's name was scribbled out except for the word "pipe" or something like that. I know pipe was in there at some point. Maybe the pipes Sean's painting was referring to was their esophagus, since the fetus's painting was referring to Paul's windpipe bc that's how he died. Plus, Sean's painting has more red than anything, just like the fetus painting did. We've seen the painter (Mona or Bill, whoever is making the paintings...probably Mona) would most likely have drawn out the pipe since she LOVES her detail in paintings.

Next thing is how much better this episode was compared to previous ones. The only bad thing in the new episode was the bucket, but besides that there weren't really any bad themes. I watched the new episode through Baz's reaction video, and he even showed a screenshot of Urban saying he would make this and episode 10 better than the previous episodes, so good on him!! And the new episode wasn't just theme-wise better, it was VISUALLY better too. The video footage style was amazing, and don't get me started on the last part where they went into Tina's house for the wellness check and caught the killers. Also major props to Tina's voice actress in this, she did AMAZING. She screamed her heart out at the last part, good lord 😭

A smaller part, but I wanna mention how this episode had one of the scariest parts yet I've seen in the whole series. At the end of the episode where Mona has her hands raised because of the cop, she's just...standing there. Neither of them speak after a moment, and the only sound is Tina's screams. Then a distorted smile can be seen on the screen...Mona is just staring at the cop with a smile. She doesn't care that Bill is dead. She doesn't care about Tina's screams. She's smiling like she didnt do anything. And she isnt moving a single muscle. That smile is the last thing Tina ever saw. Mona is happy and has no regrets.

Another thing I want to mention is how Bill Collins was one of the killers. We already knew that because of the morse code thingy from PIGS, but that raises some questions. 1: Where the hell is Jack Stryker?? For those who don't know, Im talking about Tina's boyfriend from WITNESS that randomly went missing while Tina and Flora were getting attacked. He had a painting, so he's probably dead and/or the painters ate him. 2: Who was the fourth/third face in the Collin's photo montage? In LIGHTHOUSE, we find out Bill Collins went missing, his family was found dead yada yada. I don't remember if Bill Collin's had three or four other family members, but ther was another photo amongst the others that probably shouldn't have been there. The baby was dead, yes, but she was found in the attic and not in the mush barrel with the rest of her family. Which means one of those photos is probably not Bill and another victim maybe?? 3: What's his motive? Clearly he had to have snapped or something to go kill a bunch of people. He's probably the reason all the cops and investigators related to the case died (Sean, Sarah, Ian, etc). As we've seen, Bill acted in a feral-like state while working with Mona, him barking while helping her in the murders and roaring at the cop in the video footage before being shot. So what exactly is his motive?? Maybe Mona will say in episode 10 during the trial or we'll just never know. I will say this, when it showed his human picture in LIGHTHOUSE after stating he went missing, it was the only photo that didnt look...real. It looked more like a drawing than an actual photo like all the other ones. Bill was clearly as dangerous as Mona, but why did he decide to work with Mona, especially after his family died? Maybe it was a last resort and Mona agreed to it? (but they probably teamed up with Fred too to get drugs from him, but we all saw how that turned out) So why did Mona decide to let Bill work with her, and why did Bill want to work with Mona? I really wanna know this in episode ten.

There are a few things Im still wondering. We don't know how some of the victims died and Im actually REALLY curious about that. Ian, Jimmy (who I think may be the fourth photo found by the Collin's flesh barrel), Sean (yeah I said earlier I predicted they ate him but we don't know how he died), the two girls in the lighthouse (I forgot their names but Im too lazy to check 🤯), and some of the victims found in the new episode inside of the Paint Factory. Maybe Mona will reveal how she killed them?? Maybe not?? Idk I guess we just have to wait for it to play out

so! horses are an important part of this game. to quote my best friend and the biggest horse + horsegame fan i know (gabe @porthavens):

it's not a true "horse sim", in that taking care of horses isnt a major gameplay mechanic with significant impacts. but there are MANY different kinds of horses with different stat levels, and you can tame wild horses OR buy horses from stables, and you can pet+feed+clean your horse, and you can form a bond with your horse by earning their trust. IMPORTANT Is that you can also name them and style their mane/tail differently.

now forgive me as i go into more detail because im allergic to simple answers:

what he said honestly got the basics i think. you feed your horse food or give it medicine to heal it/help it replenish energy, brush it to keep it clean, you have the choice of bringing hay to them at camp, you can use them to hunt or as transportation. etc. in general theyre really useful!! theyre well implemented in the game and thats important imo considering the time period its set in + who the main characters are.

(and thats not even touching how theres like. honestly so much detail put into each breed having a distinct body type + the coat colors and tail dynamics like theyre honestly just so well animated. and horses are notoriously difficult to animate. but they feel real, down to how their coats ripple)

i feel like RDR2 especially handles the horse as not only a mechanic or a vehicle for the player but also like... as a way of furthering characterization + humanizing the characters.

each of the main characters in the gang have their own horse that stays with them, or doesnt, throughout the game. its apart of their personality + identity. something important to know is that in the genre of westerns theres a visual motif with white hats, black hats, and similarly with black horses + white horses. it usually is as cut and dry as "bad buy wears black + has black horse, good guy has white hat and horse" and we dont have time to unpack that but it DOES mean that when we are introduced to certain characters its important to look at whats close to their identity and see

dutch van der linde, the leader, + father figure to the main characters, as long as an antagonist, has a black hat, but the most unique white horse. on the contrast, micah bell, the true antagonist of rdr2, has a black horse and white hat.

^ horse and hat spiel aside its about how each character is talked about in relation to their horse. dutch's horse, the count, looks more like an aristocrats pet. baylock, micah's horse, looks starved and bleeding later on in the game. john and arthur can talk to their horses and hum on horseback and call them petnames. each horse has a personality that informs the characters story yk.

lastly its like...... you do grow attached to your horses that You get. i had a grullo dun mustang named merlin (yk. arthur and merlin. arthur gets compared to the legend by jack his nephew) and i adored her. i also watched her die as arthur thanked her. its like. its about how the horses are more than a game mechanic but also more than just a narrative device. perfect blend

• bruce was surprised dick was a shifter because he had never performed as a panther and he didn’t exactly tell him so one day he got dick asleep against him and then he got a baby panther purring on his lap

• jason as always thought of his hyena form as like ugly or inferior, a perfect image of his upbringing, and he doesn’t shift at the manor until like a few weeks into his stay which hurts, like he knows dick is a shifter, but hes a PANTHER which is much more glorious u know ? but day after day he has behavior and tics that bruce notices and he understands that jason is a shifter, and after a few days he tells jason that he knows and he’s like hey . u should shift. this isnt healthy. n jason just looks down bc hes so sure mr wayne wont want a scrawny battered hyena on his property, so he shift, and hes so SMALL and bruce just holds him ,, ,, pubby ,, ,

• tim is the least surprising to him bc at this point hes like EH and also he has seen that cat here and there AND selina always thought that the kid was cute which should have put him on the trail. however he has, lots of trauma related to that cat shape :( . jack drake was a complete human, but janet had some relative who could shift, which she hated and found absolutely repulsive so when she learned that tim could so that she just, kept on punishing him for it. tim would get punished by being actually treated like an animal. locked in cat cages. being told to turn so he would take less space. (”they like me better this way”)

he doesn’t know how to be as a human, doesn’t know how to be touched and talked to by loved ones, and to be given affection in general, but as a human its even worse ? he spends a lot of his time in cat shape just bc he’s used to but like that’s not bc he likes its .

• i dont have much to say on coyote steph except that she always playfights with jason and that she does not hesitate to bite bruce when he’s being a bitch and shes also weirdly competitive with titus lmao

• cass shifting into a bat made bruce so happy he smiles so much everytime,,, she just sits on his shoulder and nuzzle

• duke being a komodo dragon, he’s weak to the cold and can’t really shift in winter. the rest of the siblings  just pile up on him to warm him up all the time.

• damian not being a shifter makes him feel like he’s rejected or that he stands out in a weird way at first, but dick (and then the rest) is quick to include him.

• actually him being human means he gets so many cuddles

• tim and damian actually get along really well,,, while they bicker and fight a lot when tim is human, in kitty shape he just, sits on him and gets pet or watches what damian is doing, they just hang out.

• “damian, alfred the cat told me to tell u that ur a little bitch” “NO HE DID NOT”

• fully frown panther dick and hyena jason just both climb on bruce at the same time and he sighs so loudly

• common cuddle pile found around the manor :  steph curled around tim and cass  on top of them, dick and jason full grown shifters sitting on top of bruce, jason sitting on top of human tim just because, dick and damian, steph and damian, tim and damian which surprises everyone, duke and steph and cass, everyone on top of human duke in winter,

• when shifters shift they are restricted by space (if kitty tim is in a tiny space his human body couldn’t fit in, he cant shift back, same with cass, or if duke wants to go from human to big lizard and he’s like, in a closet), and emotions make it harder to shift. also they do NOT lose their clothes they’re like magical girl transformations without glitter (disappointing)

• panther dick grooms all his siblings. he grabs whoevers closest and he licks. :3c

• many many times have tim’s siblings bit his neck to drag him to bed.

favorite thing about them:

so. you see one of my FAVORITE tropes in media is that the narrator was a character all along. partially because- especially when i was younger- i would pay super close attention to narration and choices and diction in a game to glean anything like a canon personality to a silent protagonist. and the narrator being a person in the story itself was basically a 'you were right to pay attention! it is that deep!' to me. and my fondness for this predates undertale!

i know narrachara isnt canon-canon, but... man! if it is, then chara is easily one of the most complex characters in undertale by the fact they have the most "screentime"(?) to work with!

it means they're funny and bitingly sarcastic when they want to be, it means they have opinions on anime debates, that they like plants and fun facts, they're impatient, they have a deep sense of right and wrong, they think a heroine who can save the underground is the coolest thing ever, they know some DEEP CUT old video game references, they like obscure japanese novels about tea and kitchens and loss...

its just so cool to me that a character that barely exists in the narrative- only known through second hand stories and footage, even less than we know about asriel- is revealed to be the narrative. and so many emotional beats get to hit so much harder. its just... a nice idea, you know? that we get to meet something like the real them at all.

ah hmmm. hm. i have reached the point of "they obviously have some pretty severe issues i don't think were helped by the unknowing, well-intentioned pressure of their loved ones and the entire underground as one of the two only 'hopes' of an entire group of people, and they did and can do some really jacked up things, but also think about them as a catholic 12 year old and everything makes sense."

tldr; i love chara discussions but i think we can all move past totally black or white reads of them because that doesn't fit in at all with the themes and style of toby's writing. utdr simply doesn't have pure evil or perfect good

golden flowers are weeds. they choke out any garden they're in and are incredibly tenacious. chara likes them so much because have spent hours wistfully relating to them while looking out of their original city's library windows

I've been seeing a lot of discourse posts about exile today (both from you and others!) and while I def agree that exile is being handled SO poorly and it's really frustrating, what's the context behind recent stuff?? did something happen today that specifically related to exile? /gen question im just kinda confused lol

don't have many clips or anything rn.

but basically c!bbh did a lot of blaming c!tommy for things again, like breaking the statue he made him when he died, among other things, putting him on the same level or worse than c!schlatt or c!dream when he spoke?

and he did this while touring around new member cpk. most the fandom critical and discourse has been centered around this, because it's a pattern that keeps happening where the new members of the server keep getting told things like how c!tommy is awful, without people saying much about c!dream other than 'he did bad things'.

this is a problem of course because it leads to a bunch of new characters being given massively unreliable information and has led to a lot of the newer characters thinking c!dream is a good guy. which, mind you was fine the first few times! unreliable narration and information can spice up a story.

but it's becoming an issue when nearly every character is blaming the wrong person, new and old.

especially since so many have witnessed things dream has done first hand to harm others. although of course the cc!s wouldn't think c!dream is a good person, it keeps unintentionally pushing this narritive of victim blaming c!tommy for the shit he went through. 'well MAYBE he'll learn a lesson this time!' when time and time again he's suffered and not learned anything.

and like, so this is a problem because you would have people like... like c!eryn! who for a long while thought maybe dream was a good guy, and thought building shrines to him around would for some reason help tommy, not realizing the extent of things dream did to him. luckily, he and other characters like c!michael have gotten some information for this to change.

but there are still new and old characters that ignore information they've been given, so people are just really frustrated that some things like c!tommy's abuse, ptsd, and trauma is used against him constantly, regardless of whether he 'deserves' it or not, and by introducing more characters or at least explaining to them that he's 'awful', and this keeps happening... its frustrating. especially since, at least during the hiatus thats sort of been going on throughout most of 2021 and 2022, where content isnt being created as much as say, 2020, it means these characters that start off hating tommy because they're being misinformed, don't really get the development to learn otherwise? and most likely won't.

its just this trope on the dsmp at this point. what can you do with your character when you join? make a list! past trauma? sure! friendship with other members? yep! hate tommy? that one too.

even if it's utterly unwarranted. there are characters that have their dislike of him, for one reason or another, such as jack manifold, and their hatred or anger is valid, however they also don't go around saying that maybe he deserves to continue to go through pain or abuse, or at the very least they also recognize that dream is much much worse.

so... the discourse stems from this, and talk of stuff like this has simply brought up other things in a sort of similar talking vein, that there's been discourse about before.

things like how almost every character on the dream smp, who was on it at the time, showed up to the final disc confrontation. they saw dream with his axe poised to kill tubbo. they were seconds away from walking in on a murder scene. they also saw the bunker. they saw his plan to steal everyone's most valuable pets and loved ones. even a cage to put skeppy in.

they see all this, they hear dream is the one to have sam make the prison, and once he's weak they nearly all agree to put him into it.

not only that, they saw him bomb a country down to bedrock. they saw that, even in prison, he murdered tommy, they mourned the kid! would talk about how fucked up he is. but then tommy came back and....

the only things they can say when new people enter the server and ask "why is dream in prison?" "he did some bad things."

the only characters really exempt from this are eret, sapnap, and captain puffy.

whatever the reason for this is, leads to all the stuff stated above, where for some reason tommy has become this scategoat for everyones problems, even things caused by characters like dream, and it gets so bad as some characters saying maybe he needs to have his trauma used against him so he 'learns something this time', when its been proven that never works. all it does is make him panic and lash out.

the only times c!tommy has ever learned anything, is when he's talked to. when someone explains why he cant do something. if someone kindly asks him to give something back, or says they're upset about something he's destroyed, and just... talks to him like you would any human being, he feels bad. he's apologized. he usually tries to make it right if he's able.

and that is consistent in happening yet.... for some reason its just easier for characters to go "i hate that guy" without any rhyme or reasoning, and for new characters to look at people like c!dream, a murderer and abuser known by many, be told he's just 'kinda bad' and go 'well maybe he's misunderstood', and very rarely be told different.

there's a lot of different reasons people are upset over this, yknow.
