martial arts — probably passed down since my dad does martial arts too shopping — when i’m in a bad mood i just go crazy lmao

a book or movie that left a lasting impression on me:

book — letters from a stoic. i will never get tired of recommending this book to people. i’m not a stoic but i resonate with a lot of seneca’s thinking. movie — return to oz. that movie was lowk scary af but as a child i cannot stop watching. i played that shit until the CD broke

kind of music i enjoy:

i listen to all music, i don’t really look at the genres, but i find that the ones i enjoy tend to be classical, pop, and r&b

my favorite character (atm or all time) and why:

definitely sukuna ryomen from jjk. i love that man with every fiber of my being. he’s confident, straightforward, simple, and so effortlessly sassy. i can write a 20 page essay of why i love sukuna but i’ll leave it at this

my name is rurumi and i enjoy spending my free time writing!

some of my hobbies (outside of writing) includes: drawing, building gundams and keyboards, and fashion! i got into most of them on a whim and became instantly hooked. aside from self-expression, being into fashion also helps with making friends in college because you always have something to talk about!

a book that left a lasting impression on me would have to be either kafka on the shore by haruki murakami or before the coffee gets cold by toshikazu kawaguchi. both stories have kept me up at night thinking a lot about the 'what ifs' in life.

i enjoy soul/r&b alongside anything of jrock influence, but i will basically listen to anything that sounds good. i am currently listening to 'so what' by lucy!

my favorite character at the moment is rin itoshi from blue lock because hes so ridiculously edgy, but at the same time i sympathize with him a lot. on the other hand, my favorite character of all time is suletta mecury from the witch from mercury series, she's an absolute ball of sunshine that i aspire to be.

the funny thing about spotify wrapped for me is that i know its gonna be inaccurate to what i actually listen to because i use spotify for a couple of podcasts and its always a pain for me to refind the episode i was listening to so if i wanna listen to a song i'll just go to youtube lol. i also prefer using youtube at work to signing in to my spotify account on the shared computers.

listening to the new if books could kill is really weird as someone who was indeed a teen/tween in the Emergence of Social Media Era, in that like. actually me and my 50 pseudonymous close friends of a decade are doing quite well thank you. im glad you interviewed some teenagers to learn that they use online socializing tools for social interaction, which accordingly has the features of social interaction, but this is a fucking bizarre thing to listen to people explain to each other

i feel weird being like a hardcore jojo fan who actually didn't get introduced to it because of memes at all because i just had a friend recommended it to me and i read it without knowing anything, and this was before the stardust crusaders anime blew up. so the fact that the common experience for jojo fans is now "oh you saw a weird funny meme and wanted to know what's up same bro" is still a bit alien to me because i just Grew into making memes about it after the fact, but never saw them as a way into the franchise despite that now being the reputation it upholds
