Lila’s Story
Season 1:
She is introduced with the rest of the class, she blends in, she is no one special.
A few episodes in, she gets her "solo" episode. Basically a lot of the more background characters (like Juleka, Milene, whoever you know) have episodes "about" them where they get akumatized because of some minor conflict. Lila talks about how she was bullied at her previous school and now by Chloe and doesn't have any friends, gets akumatized, is saved and everyone tries to make her feel included. She fades into the background and isn't mentioned again for the season.
The bedroom scene also happens here (more on that later).
Season 2:
She doesn't really appear at all, just living in the background
There is one episode where it opens with the bathroom scene (again, more on that later), I think kinda partially during the mid-season finale idk idc and then during the big mid season finale a new miraculous holder appears. This is Lila as Volpina, except she doesn't actually have the fox miraculous and is just akumatized to appear that way. We also can't really tell it's Lila, like looks wise anyways. She's got a big mask on that kinda like covers the top half of her face but like context clues make it so its kinda obvious its her. She is basically the akumatized villain for those episodes and flees before anyone can ID her/deakumatize her so the characters don't know it was her.
The Chloe episodes happen where we learn abt Chloe's mom and everything, People are conflicted about Chloe, not sure whether they should try and help her and give her the benefit of the doubt or put her down and like reject her. Lila insists they help Chloe, that everyone deserves a chance to be included, and thus, she starts to befriend Chloe (This is the very end of season 2)
Season 3:
Starts off by establishing Lila is friends with Chloe. At some point maybe she and Chloe go on a trip together (like during the Shang Hai special they were traveling to American or some shit) and are besties. (Lila spent this time tracking down info about the miraculous but was actually traveling with Chloe)
Lila has a solo moment where she is trying to get hawkmoth's attention, hoping to get akumatized. Her wishes are not granted. Maybe this is the bathroom scene take 2 but that feels off to me might revamp the timing of all this later.
Eventually, Lila slips up and reveals too much to Chloe about her intentions to do evil things. It really isn't a big deal and Chloe doesn't even realize that she said something out of place. But Lila can't take chances so she
Turns on Chloe. This is near the end of the season. She talks about how awful Chloe is/was to her while she was just trying to do good but it is hopeless she is just too mean and the class turns on Chloe again, thus having Chloe revert back to how she was at the begining of the show
Season ends with Lila betraying LB and stealing the miraculous to give to hawkmoth. (This could be why marinette/adrien dont trust her because they knew she lied this whol time as a hero so maybe she is lieing irl too. Lila doesn't know LB/Chat's secret identities of course)
Might shift Lila's betrayal of Chloe to much later.
Season 4:
Lila has earned the trust of most of the class (minus chloe/sabrina and mari/adrien and Alya/Nino bc they trust their besties). It isn't full on civil war within the class but there is tension. Lila doesn't do much to instigate conflict.
She continues to work with Hawkmoth, slowly gathering more information. Maybe she refuses to give him the miracle box unless he reveals his identity to her or something like that so she can continue to have leverage over him.
By the big final conflict, she has a lot of information on everything and desperately wants a miraculous to make everything better. She wants to make herself special and rich and perfect and powerful and in control, but she gets sloppy, and thus, is killed when she tries to go against hawkmoth
I think there should also be scene before her final conflict with hawkmoth where she is getting desperate and frantic and ends up trying to turn the class against Mari and co. Maybe Marinette is trying to get the class to help stop her because she found out Lila is a supervillain and Lila tries to get the classmates to back her but she slips up in how she talks/acts and they all start to see through her facade.

Subsystems and You 8: Hero Points
Tumblr media
 Alright, we begin this Mon-…
Ah, it appears I missed yesterday’s entry due to how busy I was. No matter, have two entries!
The vast spectrum of fantasy and heroic adventure in other genres often has the protagonists facing off against insurmountable evils and impossible odds to save the day. However, despite those odds, the heroes persevere…. Unless somebody rolls poorly at an inopportune time.
That’s where hero points come in, an optional subsystem for those gaming groups which hope to keep the game on-track, rather than risk a terrible ending.
Which isn’t to say that this system is entirely meta in nature. Plenty of stories exist where heroes find the strength to push themselves further than they are able to normally, to “Go Beyond” as a particular anime oft-repeats. Additionally, many old myths speak of times when the gods or other divine forces favor the heroes, and occasionally send aid in subtle ways.
Either way, Hero points are not easily rewarded or recovered. As a baseline, characters are expected to have at most three of them at a time, and they are not recovered with rest or things like that. Such points are rewarded by the GM at their discretion.
Common times to award these points might be for showing up to sessions, for completing story or character arcs, for performing reverent acts for their character’s patron deity, and even for daring to do heroic, dangerous things that normally are ill-advised to do, such as a caster entering melee to save a friend, or facing off against a dangerous foe alone to buy others time, and so on. Even great roleplaying moments might warrant such a reward.
Heck, even out of game actions, like buying or preparing meals or snacks for the session, or perhaps providing other players with tighter budgets gaming supplies like new dice and the like. However, one needs to be careful about this, and such hero point rewards should only be for actions that benefit the group, lest hero points become currency of a petty bribery or extortion activity which drags the whole game down.
So now that you’ve got your hero points, how do you use them?
The most common usage is spending them to reroll a failed roll. (or perhaps force the GM to reroll a succeeded save against a spell or ability of yours, though that is up to the GM) In this way, a player character can turn failure into victory, perhaps gaining superior focus and force of will to succeed when it matters most.
Another use involves allowing you or others to act out of turn, the hero pushing their body and mind to get a bit more speed out of it to interrupt foes or aid allies at a timely moment. While there are bonuses added to these moments, they also shift you around in the turn order.
Alternatively, another way to use this for the same thematic idea is granting an extra action on your turn, getting more of what you need to get done in a single moment.
You can also, in theory, use a hero point to buy a hint from the GM when stumped, though I don’t necessarily agree with that use, as a good GM should be providing alternate solutions or the necessary clues to a puzzle or situation.
Hero points can also represent untapped reserves as well, releasing an extra use of a spell or ability that has already been used up for the day.
Two hero points can be spent to cheat death, the character miraculously surviving a killing blow thanks to perhaps the brunt of it luckily being taken by a favored piece of equipment, for example, to reference the old “Bullet stopped by pocket bible/badge/heirloom gift from a friend” trope, or other such miraculous cinematic survivial. This can also be used to protect companion creatures like mounts, familiars, and the like as well, though rarely if ever completely separate entities.
Finally, hero points could be used to do the impossible. Such uses are the most subject to GM fiat, but are clearly beyond what is possible, but not so much so as to be deity-level. A spellcaster casting magic of a level just beyond what they are currently capable of (or perhaps a non-caster manifesting a minor spell for the first time!), daring feats of acrobatics that defy gravity, blocking a strike from an invisible foe that all attempts to detect have failed, destroying an artifact without the right conditions, and more. As a general rule, I’d hold off on this sort of hero point use until the most high-strung moments where it is needed the most, and they should probably require difficult (but not impossible due to the hero point) rolls to succeed, the success of which might even provide a reason for a character to unlock mythic power or justify branching into a new class or other crazy rewards, depending on the nature of the act.
This subsystem is also supported by a series of feats. Namely Blood of Heroes, which increases the rate at which hero points are gained via level, Hero’s Fortune, which grants an immediate hero point and increases the maximum that can be retained (even giving NPCs like villains their own hero point to use), and finally, Luck of Heroes, which gives a chance of retaining a hero point after used, as if they had merely been supremely lucky.
An interesting option included with this subsystem is the idea of the antihero. While thematically an antihero is someone who serves good, but does not do so in an honorable or ever morally sound way, in this case the term is used to describe a character who’s player has actively chosen not to use the hero-point system in a game that is using those rules. In which case, said character “relies more on their great skill”, gaining an additional feat. Whether they are true anti-heroes or not will depend on how you play them, but there is a thematic connection there, particularly if hero points are flavored as minor divine intervention for their favored champions.
Most of the uses of hero points do not guarantee success. Because of this, they only slightly improve the odds in the favor of the PCs in a system that typically is already slanted a bit in their favor. Hero points are meant to add extra tension in dramatic moments by adding another chance to succeed or fail important rolls, but they’re not for everyone or every game. Choose wisely whether they should be included in your campaign.
That does it for now, but since I’m late on an entry, expect the next one later today!

This is it! The moment we’ve all been waiting for! The Heroes Day special Season 2 finale! We’ve seen the posters, we’ve had our guesses and we’ve seen the villains and now, THE TIME HAS COME! Our lucky ladybug and catastrophic catboy gather up their friends, the furtive fox, shielding snapper and bossy queen bee in the ultimate showdown against the best of the worst from the malicious moth mans army. FOR PARIS! (trumpet plays the “Charge” music).
Heroes Day
*Part 1:Cataylst-In Paris, they have this holiday called “Heroes Day” (which btw is a real holiday mostly celebrated in the Philippines to honor a national hero, but in this case, it’s for the show) where all of Paris, France honors the five superheroes by doing a good deed to the community. Before I get to that, one of the most important things about this ep was the return of lying Lila Rossi.............FINALLY! It’s about f**king time! I was wondering where the f**k she was! Is-is this, is this how they characterize her in the show!? By making her show up near the end of each season!? Or like, what!? Any way, turns out, she’s been in hiding from everyone locked away in her room in Paris like a homebody and her lies just keep getting more and more outrageous! Apparently, everyone is still convinced at all her bulls**t and that she’s “in Prince Ali’s country helping out with Heroes Day” and only Marinette and Adrien aren’t buying it. I thought that perhaps word got out that she’s a compulsive liar after Ladybug outed her for her lies in “Volpina”, but nooooooooooooooo, that wasn’t the case and she didn’t learn jack s**t! She’s even convinced her own mother that Adrien is her bae and that the whole school was “shut down due to all the akumatizations” (Oh, she’s good!). As we all know, Marinettes pet peeve are liars, but she goes hypocritical and says she has a huge bakery tasting for everyone to one up their grand gestures (Adrien has it easy what with being rich and Cat Noir). With Gabriel, he’d been planning this for a loooooooooooooooooooooong time as he knows how much Lila despises Ladybug for ruining her chances with Adrien and exposing her lies in front of him and triggers her anger by praising Ladybug and insulting Volpina and then BOOM! Our faux fox is back at it again! (willingly!) She’s a pawn in Hawk Moths plan to make everyone in Paris have negative feelings by creating an illusion of Ladybug killing Cat Noir! Don! Don! Don! (if that’s how the cataclysm works on a person, then stay.the.f**k.back!). And then, he has his assistant, Natalie, willingly be akumatized as Cataylst! (knew it). She’s that red/black motorcycle looking villainess we saw in the Season 2 villains line up pic. She’s basically a human charger as her only power is to give Hawk Scarlet Moth, unlimited power to akumatize a bunch of people for his army. With Heroes Day turned to Villains Day, Ladybug and Cat Noir recruit Rena Rouge, Carapace (who found out about each other’s alter egos (well, Nino actually)) and Queen Bee (using a Bat Bee signal) for the epic battle! You guys.......WE HAVE OUR OFFICIAL QUANTIC KIDS! (squee!). You guys remember the Quantic Kids! right!? That superhero team of what-could’ve-been for Miraculous Ladybug? With Mercury, Melody and Kid Mime and that-that Sparrow guy. Well,...........THIS IS THEM! I’m calling them The Quantic Kids from here on out, this is our Quantic Kids! Be happy!
*Part 2:Mayura-Starting from where we left off, The Quantic Kids are up against Scarlet Moth (making his first debut appearance (like Gabe did in “Queen’s Battle”) and yet, that didn’t cross any of the heroes minds with the similarities) with Cataylst in charge and Paris “seeing red” with the akumatized villain army. The fight scenes were cool as the heroes were careful not to use their “one hit” powers and only do physical combat and weaponry use before using it as a last resort. Unfortunately, it didn’t help as Ladybugs lucky charm was no use with Scarlet Moth gaining the upperhand and akumatizing Rena, Carapace and Queen Bee and using Dark Cupid to inflect more negative emotions to get the rest of the villains involved. Don! Don! Don! It was just the dynamic duo now. However, they weren’t alone as the minor/background characters stepped in as calvary! (trumpet plays the “Charge” music). After the complete de-evilization of everyone, Ladybug and Cat Noir finally meet Hawk Moth face-to-face and battle him! Sadly, he’s still powerful enough to defeat them, buuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuut, Rena, Carapace and Queen Bee come back to finally defeat him once and for all! That is, until Mayura (formally Le Paon in work-in-title progress) came in. Yes miraculers, we finally see the peacock miraculous in use and it’s by Nathalie! (knew it too). The power of the peacock gives the wielder the power of creature creation to protect someone with their negative emotions using their fan as the weapon with one of its feathers and this helps Hawk Moth escape. The season ends with Marinette getting help from her friends with her good deed, Adrien calling Marinette their “everyday Ladybug” and Marinette stepping up her game (remembering Kagmies words on hesitation) and kissing Adrien! (on the cheek, but still!). (big echoing voice) And so once again, the day is saved! Thanks to THE QUANTIC KIDS! (”Miraculous Ladybug” theme song plays).
On the first half, we all thought that in Season 2, Lila would be frequently akumatized as Volpina to fight Ladybug since she still holds a grudge against her, but she was mostly “hid away” until Hawk Moth needed her for something bigger.......I didn’t like that! I wanted her around to see how her character will grow, but I guess we’ll have to see that next season from what I heard. Most of the villains we saw in the poster for “Heroes Day” were there except for a few such as Reflekta (all thanks to Marinette), Collector (for obvious reasons) and Anansi (that ones on Alya). I was wondering if maybe Hawk Moth had put into thought with who he wanted to come back, but I guess he was just too mad with power to think or plan carefully. I mean, I assumed he was going through a list of which villain was tough enough and which was too pathetic and narrowing it down to only the most challenging for the heroes, but I guess, like I had mentioned, he’s desperate! On the second half, When the heroes were in the combat battle, I assumed they would fight whoever it was they personally faced from being akumatized, but I think that was covered with The Bourgeois family with Chloe and Riposte with Cat Noir since they needed the rest of the screen time to come up with an ultra de-evilazation (I did like that Guitar Villain and Frightningale were only there to provide fight music thus breaking the fourth wall! Lol!). The minor characters were bada** to charge at the akumatized villains risking their own lives to save their city’s heroes cuz not only are each and every one of them is special in their own way, but heroic! (Hey! (shrugs) It is Heroes Day after all) and this is why we love them so much!. When faced with “Hawk Moth” at last, they came close to discovering what he wanted with the their miraculouses, but with all the villainy he did, they assumed it was for a dark purpose (we all know the real reason why, but he was too proud to admit it). No appearance by Duusu, but we did get to see Mayura! I really thought that fan weapon of hers would be used as individual knives to throw like that one woman from Rush Hour 3, but it had its own function. They also revamped the desing art for them, but to me it looks a little “overdone”. Not sure if this was a last minute touch up or not. From what we saw in “Queen’s Battle”, Nathalie is secretly in love with Gabriel and is fiercely devoted to him doing whatever she can to help him succeed, business or villainy. Also, the reason the peacock miraculous was never used is because it’s damaged leaving the wielder feeling weak. Hmmmmmm, maybe that’s what might of happened to who could have possibly first owned it? *cough*Emilie*cough*. We also found out that almost everyone in class is an Adrienette shipper! Yea! Phew! What a season! New heroes, villains, kwamies and characters to gush about. We have The occasional Rena Rouge, Carapace and Queen Bee whom we all guessed would be Alya, Nino and Chloe, respectively. Villains that came so close to taking Ladybug and Cat Noirs miraculouses, the cutie patootie kwamies that’ll obviously be given to Marinette and Adriens classmates next season (and I think we already know a few), and newbie characters such as Audrey Bourgeois showing up after all the crazed theories we’ve had of her and commin’ in with canon and Juleka’s older brother, Luka, to spice up the love square with Kagami towards our heroes. Nice changes happened as we got a few Chloe redemption episodes, Adrienette growing closer and closer (and if what was promised, happening in Season 3) and secrets of Emilie Agreste and what might have happened to her! I’m pretty bummed we didn’t get that “Gagotor” episode or Halloween special that was promised (why do they keep doing this to me!?), but they better bring it back next season or so cuz otherwise, I’m gonna be real pissed off! I did hear, however, that in Season 4 we’ll see Laddybug and Cat Noir get new outfits and powers! So okay! Catch you guys up next season where my reviews will be better! Bye!
