why didn't they just use franziska for literally all of this.
#freya talks aai2#my goals of not being a forgotten/forsaken hater are not going well. he goes from 'kay is a dear ACQUAINTANCE' to 'i've not known her for#very long but i know she'd never kill anyone' to 'you are the kay i know so well' in the span of a few hours and it's like.#okay so you know it was too early in their acquaintanceship for this to really make sense but you still wanted a 'deep' and 'meaningful'#relationship to take the lead in this plotline. his sister is literally right there. it wouldnt have been hard to swap her in either because#she's literally investigating the smuggling situation. it would make perfect sense for her to be there following a lead instead of suddenly#revealing kay's promise notebook went missing. im not saying that the super-gentle super-meek persona would have made more sense with#franziska but honestly it wouldnt have made sense with any of them because it's more a caricature of a character rather than being an actual#previously unseen facet of one but you could've done so many more interesting things with franziska! she has an actual personal stake in#edgeworth's decision to continue as a prosecutor or not and we could get actual insight into how her own relationship with prosecuting and#its inextricable link to her father has affected her as a person. like when you show amnesiac kay the prosector badge all she says is that#it feels heroic warm and familiar like someone she knew used to show it to her often. and like cool. it's basically telling us she and her#father were close. which we already knew. imagine if franziska had said something like that or had had a more complex reaction. there would#be so many avenues to go with that!! you'd even be able to delve deeper into what edgeworth thinks about it all. like what if franziska was#just. happier. without her memories. then you'd have a story where edgeworth has to reckon with whether it might be kinder to let her live a#different life where she's unburdened by literally everything she's been made to go through and give her the same opportunity of starting#over that he now has.#im just writing fanfiction at this point but like. the amnesia plot is so frustrating to me HAHA they dont even do anything interesting with#it!! it's just oh she's lost her memories and we need to get them back because she's not 'herself' anymore without any discussion of like.#the nature of identity or living as who other people know you as vs whoever you might actually be#WHEN THE WHOLE CASE IS ABOUT EDGEWORTH DECIDING ON HIS PATH FORWARDS AND GRAPPLING WITH BEING THE PROSECUTOR EVERYONE HAS KNOWN HIM AS#whatever. WHATEVER.#annotations#some people might argue so it's not rehashing old conflict between franziska and edgeworth and like ok. she literally repeats her 'are you#running away from me again' line during this case. does that sound like the words of resolved conflict?#i know WHY they use kay. it's because they need to justify her place in this game and because they want to play on the pseudo father-figure#thing they played up in aai2 to contribute to the overall themes of fatherhood this game is dealing with. and to that i have to say that i#might just not be the audience for it because i've never bought that version of their relationship and i dont think kay should be in aai2#anyway. plus i posit that franziska would've still worked for that theme because. literally everything. about her.

runaway bride (one-shot)
summary: on the day of your wedding, you find out that your maid of honor and husband-to-be has been hooking up behind your back... and you run directly into the arms of a stranger to help you cope with the sudden betrayal. pairing: old man!logan x fem!reader content warnings: smut (18+, mdni), oral - f receiving, dirty talk, manhandling, light choking, unprotected p in v sex (be safe folks!), doggy style, cowgirl, public sex in his limo, creampie but logan just keeps going, mentions of cheating (but not from logan), toxic relationship / friendship, implied age gap (but no mention of how old reader is), no use of y/n. word count: 3.6k a/n: ok, this is complete filth. i'm not even sure how this story came about or how it even came to mind, but here it is... i wanted to write old man logan so badly so what better way to do that is to write a smutty one-shot???
âAre you fucking serious?!â you exclaim, having opened the door to see your fiancĂ© and your maid of honor in a heated kiss, hands exploring each otherâs bodies. They both pull away from each other abruptly, eyes widening as the sudden realization of getting caught now settling in.
âBaby, itâs notââ
âFucking save it.â You remove your engagement ring and toss it in his general direction, tears trickling the corners of your eyes.Â
Your best friend tries to step forward, but you raise your hand in the air and glare at her. âDonât fucking get near me or I will lay you on your ass.â
âIâm sorryââ your fiancĂ© begins to say.
âWeâre done.â you interrupt, anger fuming in your veins. âYou can go out there and tell everyone that the weddingâs canceled because fuck you,â you tell him and then point to your maid of honor, your best friend of over fifteen years. âAnd fuck you.âÂ
You donât even bother to hear their protests, already having turned on your heel and left the building without telling anyone. You see two limos parked out front, knowing that one belonged to your bridal party and the other belonging to your fiancĂ© and his groomsmen. You donât have time to think which one was the limo you rode in, already wanting to leave far, far away from here.Â
Pulling open the door, you slide inside and then finally allow yourself to let the tears fall. You bury your face in your hands, your breaths coming in pants.Â
âJustâ Just take me anywhere else but here,â you tell the driver, looking up and expecting to see the same driver from this morning. When you realize itâs someone else entirely, you bite your lower lip and shake your head. Of fucking course you chose the limo that your fiancĂ© had been in.
âA bit early to be leaving your own wedding, isnât it?â he says, looking at you from the rearview mirror.
âYeah, well, the wedding is off. Can you just take me away from here?âÂ
Logan clears his throat. It doesnât take a genius to know what might have happened, but he also knows that youâre not the one who heâs meant to drive and heâs certainly aware that you arenât the one whoâs going to be paying him either.Â
âListen, darlinâ, Iâm supposed to be driving the groom andââ
âWell, he can go fuck himself. Can you please just drive?â
âLast I checked, heâs paying me and you ainât.â
âOh, heâs gonna still pay you. Now, drive.â you tell him, holding his gaze. âPlease.â
Logan stares at you. He isnât sure what exactly happened, but based on the conversations he heard the groom and groomsmen having earlier that morning, he has some idea that it had to do with the groom cheating on you. He just lets out a grunt and then starts the engine, pulling away from the curb and driving away from the venue.
He doesnât know where heâs supposed to go or where you want to go, so he just drives. Logan continuously looks at you from the rearview mirror, now fully taking in your features. Logan wasnât a man who ever cheated on a woman he was with; heâs always been so loyal, especially to the ones he cares about the most. He never understood why men (and women) cheat, why they just couldnât end the relationship if they were no longer happy.Â
He hears you sniffling from the backseat and Logan slowly comes to a stop at a red light. He turns his head to look at you from over his shoulder. âBub, you gotta tell me where you wanna go or else Iâm just gonna keep charging him.â
âGood. Letâs take a trip to fucking Mexico and make him pay for it,â you say through gritted teeth.Â
Logan lets out an amused chuckle and then presses lightly on the gas once the light turns green. He keeps one hand on the steering wheel as he uses his free hand to enter Mexico on his phone andâ
âWait, I wasnât serious.â
âNo? Then, where do you wanna go, darlinâ?â
âI donât know,â you whisper. âAnywhere but here.â you mumble to yourself.
Logan nods to himself and then sets his focus on the road ahead of him. He doesnât know where to go, but he does find that he doesnât want this ride to end. Even in the silence, he finds your presence soothing, comforting. He knows youâre having a shitty day â after all, you probably had woken up this morning expecting to be married by the end of today.Â
He does keep stealing glances at you, finding you completely captivating. Even when your eyes meet his from the rearview mirror, Logan feels like he had been caught staring and a blush slowly blooms across the side of his neck. Heâs too old to be feeling like this, like some kind of a teenager with a crush on the most beautiful girl whoâs out of his league.
âHow about some food?â Logan asks after driving for about twenty minutes. âAre you hungry?âÂ
âNo.â
âOkay,â he sighs. âWanna go to a bar? Drink your problems away?â
âNo.â
Logan tightens his jaw and then pulls into a gas station, putting the car in park as he turns around to look at you. You bite your lower lip, getting a good view of just how handsome your driver is. Heâs definitely older than you, gray in his beard and hair, crowâs feet at his eyes, but you canât help the attraction you feel towards him. Suddenly, youâre well aware that youâre staring too long at him because when you finally meet his eyes, heâs smirking.Â
âWhyâd we stop?â you ask.
âGotta fill up, especially if I donât know how long Iâll be driving you around,â Logan replies. âYou want anything from inside?âÂ
Just as the question leaves his lips, you climb out from the backseat and walk inside. Logan sighs and steps out of the limo as he follows you into the small store. He towers over you and he canât help but get a good look at the dress youâre wearing. You look so angelic, so beautiful and serene â how could anyone think that thereâs better than you?Â
âGet whatever you want,â Logan calls out and you suddenly turn around to look up at him. He watches your lower lip pull itself between your teeth, sees your eyes take in his frame from top to bottom, and suddenly, he feels very shy under your gaze. Logan clears his throat, eyes narrowing. âWhat?âÂ
âNothing,â you say, tilting your head up at him. âJust didnât think⊠Well, not all limo drivers look like you.âÂ
âNot all limo drivers are like me either,â he mutters to himself. âRight. Iâll be up at the front. Just meet me there once youâre ready.â Then, Logan turns on his heel and slowly limps his way to the front, only glancing over his shoulder to briefly look at you. Your backâs already turned as you reach for a few items in the freezer section.Â
After a few minutes, you meet Logan at the front of the store and drop two bottles of water and a cherry-flavored popsicle. Logan eyes you suspiciously, but you keep your eyes trained on your feet. He has to wonder if your mind is drifting to your fiancĂ©. Once Logan pays the cashier, he motions for you to walk ahead of him with a slight nod and then he follows you outside. Logan quickly limps to the door and opens it for you, staring down at you.Â
âHere,â you tell him, handing him one of the bottle of waters.Â
Logan arches a brow. âThanks,â he mumbles, the close proximity almost making him weak in the knees. His eyes deviate to your cleavage, clearing his throat when his mind begins to drift. All Logan can think about is seeing you come undone underneath him, trembling and moaning because of him. He has to take a step back, has to create some distance between your bodies.Â
You then remove the wrapping of the popsicle and then wrap your lips around it, the deep red popsicle now coloring your lips. You keep your eyes locked on his and smile mischievously before you climb back inside. Logan shuts the door once youâre inside, the image of your lips around the popsicle giving him a clear image of your lips wrapping around hisâ
He hears the window roll itself down and Logan quickly walks around to the other side to fill up the tank, not bothering to look into the backseat as he feels the center of his black pants begin to tighten with each passing second.Â
Logan hasnât been intimate in a very long time, his main concern being Charles and his own health, but you⊠Well, youâre stirring something in Logan that he thought lay dormant. He craves you and he knows that youâre also very vulnerable, having just ran away from your own wedding after finding out your fiancĂ© was cheating on you. Logan doesnât want to take advantage of you, despite sensing that you might want him too.Â
Once the tank is filled up, Logan then walks back to the driverâs seat and climbs in, starting the car. He looks at you from the rearview mirror, still sucking on the fucking popsicle with a dark gaze in your eyes.Â
âWhere to?â he says, not realizing how quiet his voice comes out.
âAnywhere.â
âMaking it real difficult for me, bub.â
You pull the popsicle away from your mouth a quiet pop! and then lets a small smile line your lips, deeply red from your cherry-flavored popsicle. Loganâs hands grip the steering wheel, his knuckles turning white and his claws threatening to come out as a result.Â
âFine. How about your place?âÂ
Logan lets out a quiet cough, not thinking that youâd be so forward and straight to the point. He shakes his head and then looks over at you from over his shoulder. âDonât think thatâs a good idea, darlinâ. Youâre only going to regret it andââ
âListen, I just found out my fiancĂ© and maid of honor were screwing around behind my back. The only regret I have right now is saying yes to marry that man and being friends with that woman. I donât think Iâm going to regret fucking you, though.â
Logan isnât used to women saying what they want as bluntly as you do and it excites him. He doesnât answer, just begins driving away from the gas station. Heâs so hard beneath his pants, glancing over at you and seeing your eyes locked completely on his. He pulls up into an abandoned parking lot and parks the car, thankful that the windows on his limo are tinted. Logan climbs out from the driverâs seat and then opens the door to the backseat, gently reaching out to take the popsicle from your hands and tossing it over his shoulder.Â
âLetâs have you suck something else, huh, darlinâ?âÂ
You grin and then gently tug on the lapel of his jacket, pulling him inside with you as you shut the door behind him. Youâre glad that the backseat of his limo is actually rather spacious because now that heâs hovering above you, he seems so much bigger than you, so much more broad. Your hands immediately move across his chest, feeling the chiseled muscles underneath your fingertips.
âI donât normally do this,â Logan groans, feeling your lips move along the side of his neck, teeth grazing his skin.
âAnd whatâs that? Fuck your passengers?âÂ
He growls lowly, moving his strong hands to your hips and pressing himself firmly against your lower half as he settles himself between your legs. âYou always got a mouth on you?âÂ
You smirk and pull the ends of your dress higher up your legs until you bunch it at your hips, your white lace panties in full view for him. âOnly when I want something.â
âYeah, and what do you want?â Logan asks, hands moving to play with the waistband of your panties.Â
âA distraction,â you grip the lapels of his jacket and bring him down to press your lips against his. He growls against your lips and tugs down your panties, hand moving quickly to your folds and running the length of his finger across your wet heat.Â
Logan slides two fingers into you, not giving you time to get used to his thick digits. You let out a quiet gasp, pulling away from his lips to toss your head back at the intrusion. Logan moves you to sit back against the seat as he lies on his abdomen, lowering himself until his head settles between your legs.Â
Your eyes widen at the sight of him between your legs, your fiancĂ© having never done this for you. When you feel his mouth latch onto your clit, his tongue flicking against your bundle of nerves repeatedly as his fingers thrust in and out you, you have to let out a loud moan. Your hands move to his hair, gripping it tightly as your arousal drips onto the leather seat.Â
Logan pulls his fingers out of you and laps at your juices. He stares up at you, watching as you toss your head back in ecstasy, your mouth agape as continuous moans escape your lips, and he can feel your walls begin to tremble, begin to tighten around his tongue. Logan knows his joints and muscles are going to ache after this, but he knows itâs going to be worth it. Knows that heâs going to want to do this again with you.Â
With his free hand, Logan undoes the buckle on his belt, followed by undoing the zipper and button on his pants. He pushes his slacks and boxers down his legs to relieve the pressure against his manhood. He pulls back to look up at you, his chin and beard dripping wet from your slickness.Â
âGonna fuck you now,â he growls.Â
âAbout fucking time.âÂ
Logan narrows his eyes and moves up your body, hand coming up to rest on your throat. He leans down and gently nips at your jawline until his forehead rests against yours, eyes staring deeply into your own.Â
âYou like this, donât you, bub?â Logan whispers huskily, the grip around your throat tightening to add a bit of pressure. You gasp, eyes staring up at him as you feel the tip of his length brush against you repeatedly. The grip around your throat only makes you wetter and you lift your hips impatiently, chasing his hardened length to slide down onto him.
âSo impatient,â he grins. Logan releases his grip around your throat and then grabs your hips, turning you over onto your stomach. He grabs you roughly, pulling you back into him as he grips the fabric of your dress. He pulls you to prop yourself on your hands on knees as he kneels behind you, gripping the base of his manhood as he rubs his tip along the length of your sex.Â
âPlease!â you say impatiently, trying to push back against him.Â
Logan smirks and then pushes himself into your tight heat, not wasting any time in filling you to the hilt. He groans at your wetness, at the warmthness of your walls, the tight hold it has around his girth. He pulls back to his tip, only to slam back into you. Logan was telling the truth that heâs never done this before. Driving had only been a way for him to get extra cash, to keep his mind busy, and he certainly didnât have time for this, but now he canât even imagine parting ways with you after this.Â
His thrusts continue, your walls sliding along his manhood and milking him with every movement. Logan moves to rest his chest firmly against your back, his lips hovering near your ear as you moan continuously with each thrust he delivers.Â
âThis what you wanted, huh, bub?â Logan growls, gently nipping at you earlobe. âWanted me to fuck you like this?â He thrusts roughly into you, his skin slapping against yours.Â
âYâYes!â you exclaim, slowly pushing your own hips back into his. Logan groans, leaning away from you and briefly pausing his movements to watch you move along him. He grunts to himself, lightly slapping your backside as he watches you push back against him.Â
Logan watches himself disappear within your depths, only to reappear when you pull back, his entire length glistening with your arousal. He groans to himself and gently pulls out of you. Youâre about to protest when he sits against the backseat and grabs you by the hips, placing you to sit on his lap. He grips your dress and rips it in half, causing a loud gasp of surprise to leave your lips.Â
âSorry,â he mumbles.Â
âFuck the dress,â you reassure him. âI didnât pay for it anyway.âÂ
Logan smirks and then feels you lower yourself down onto him, groaning at your tight walls wrapping itself once more around him. He reaches around and undoes your white lace bra, watching it fall from your body as you now sit firmly on his lap, completely naked and exposed for him.Â
âFuck me,â he grunts, watching your breasts bounce with your movements. He feels your hands begin to undo the buttons on his white button down shirt, removing it from his body. Today, he opted to forgo his usual white tank top, so when you lean in to press your chest against his, he canât help but groan at the sensation of your erect nipples pressing firmly against him.
Logan feels your walls begin to tremble with each movement and he leans in to press his lips against yours, capturing your lips in a heated kiss. With one hand, he moves to grip your throat lightly, sliding his tongue past your lips when you let out a loud moan. He stares up at you, thrusting his hips upwards when your body begins to shake and the grip around your throat only tightens a smidge to cause pressure.Â
Your eyes shut tightly and you reach down to grip his shoulders, slamming yourself firmly onto his lap as he feels you to the hilt. Logan doesnât falter his movements though, chasing his own release. It comes out of nowhere there, hand dropping from the grip around your throat to grab his base, thrusting upwards once, twice, before he pulls out to see his release trickle out of you.Â
Youâre breathing heavily and youâre looking at him with a small smile and hooded eyes. When he looks down between your legs, his come continuing to trickle down your leg, it only ignites a fire inside of him and he suddenly feels hard again.Â
âOne more, bub,â Logan growls. âOne more.â He thrusts his tip inside of you, grunting lowly before he slides back into you, hands gripping the meat of flesh on your thighs as he feels the stickiness of your arousal mixed in with his come against the base of his lower half.Â
Your nails dig into his shoulders, dragging them down his arms as your walls are already overly sensitive. Logan doesnât falter, but his thrusts do become more erratic. âOh god,â you whimper, trying to pull yourself away from him, but Logan holds you firm on his lap, making you take his assault on you.Â
You wanted a distraction and you were certainly getting it.Â
Logan leans up and gently nips at your jawline as he plants his feet on the floor of his limo, driving his hips further upwards. He does this a few more times before he holds you against him, releasing into you a second time as he paints your walls with his thick spend. Heâs breathing heavily, forehead resting against your chest as his hands on your thighs move to rest on your hips.Â
âI uh, fuck,â he mumbles. âI should have asked first andââ
âStop,â you interrupt. âI like that I can still feel you inside of me,â you smile, feeling him slowly pull out. Even though you miss his girth, his release remains and fills you up. You reach down to wipe the trickle of his come off your inner leg and capture it on the pads of your fingertips. You stare into his eyes and then bring your fingers to your lips, wrapping your lips around it and sucking his release off of it. âMmm, yum.â
Logan growls, feeling his length stir awake once more. âThat want you wanted?â he asks again. âA distraction?â
âYeah,â you nod. âBut I think Iâm gonna want more distractions from you.â
Logan smirks. âThat so, bub?â
âOh yeah, I need someone to help me through this breakup,â you say honestly. âAs long as thatâs okay with youâŠâ
Logan nods and then looks down at your exposed front, hand coming up to slowly knead your breast into the pit of his palm. âYeah, baby. Thatâs more than okay with me.â
You grin excitedly, letting out a quiet whimper. âSo⊠Your place then?â
âMy place,â he confirms. âBut how about you ride up front with me?âÂ
âYes, please. I do want a taste of you,â you bite your lower lip, hand moving to gently run your fingertip along the length of his manhood. âAnd I want to do it while youâre driving.â
Logan groans. âOh, youâre fucking naughty, arenât you?âÂ
You nod shyly, biting the inside of your cheek. âIâve been suppressed,â you admit. âMy sex life has been⊠boring, to say the least.âÂ
âBlessing in disguise,â Logan points out. âThank god youâre not getting married to a man who doesnât take care of your needs.â He leans in and then pecks your lips. âDonât worry, though, bub. Iâm happy to take care of you until then.âÂ

Baby Steps
Dani slurped her milkshake noisily as she shifted back to the visible spectrum, interrupting the argument between the so-called adults. It'd been a hectic week, she'd been part of Young Justice for less than a week, yet they already had a crisis in the form of a maybe-evil clone.
"Do you mind?" growled Batman.
"Try a different word."
Superman raised an eyebrow.
""Father" is too heavy, try "brother" instead," she continued, "I mean, Phantom's technically my dad, but I don't call him that. He's my 'cuz!"
"What we call each other isn't the problem."
"No, but it's less scary isn't it? Danny was fifteen when I met him. Imagine if I'd called him dad. He'd have freaked out!"
Batman nodded, seeing the logic.
"And even then, I kinda needed some time to put my head together, you know?" she rattled on, floating crisscross applesauce in midair like a balloon in the breeze, "It's the real reason I left the first time. Maybe some time apart would be good for them? Microdose in family!"
"What we call each other isn't even half of the problem," sighed Superman, "you're a clone too, right? You once told me it was weird to know things you didn't remember learning. Clones are made and programed, sometimes with sleeper programming."
"True, but that's what we're here for," she figured, "I mean, I can't take you on, but Superboy's a different story. If he does go nuts, he has the whole Junior League to take care of him."
"I can't ask you to put yourself in danger."
"You're not, I'm volunteering," figured Stray, finally floating down to the ground, "look, Phantom and I work because we took the time to figure out who we are to each other. You two need time to figure out what you are, not get shoved together and hope for the best."
Batman grunted.
"This is a shock, it was a shock for Danny too. Sa- A mutual friend told me he had a panic attack an hour after I left. Started looking into childcare and stuff. She had to stop him from running after me with a diaper bag and they both crashed into a tree. Tu- a different friend sent me a picture."
"Your point?" sighed the Bat.
"I just said it? Forcing things helps no one. Just... put them in general proximity of each other and let the cards lay where they may. I know what you want to help Superboy, but forcing them into a get along shirt is just gonna hurt them both. You have to think of Superman too."
"And if he does go rogue?"
"Then we stop him."
"That easy?"
"That easy."
Superman sighed. As much as he hated to admit it, the whole situation was a lot less scary by simply changing the word. And what Stray said made sense, in a roundabout sort of way.
For his part, Batman was mentally kicking himself for hyper-focusing on Superboy's needs without taking Clark's feelings into consideration.
"We'll go with your plan," he agreed, "Superman, I'll need you to have a word with Black Canary. She will mediate with you and Superboy whenever you wish to meet, but I need you both to agree to this before we move forward."
"And if we can't?"
"Then he'll have to get adopted into somewhere else," figured Dani, sitting in midair again, "nothing good will happen if we just dump him on you. Neither one of you deserve what happened."
---
I'm sick of people dumping on Clark. Considering how he and the others live, I can't blame him for being suspicious.
Some other guy got replaced by a clone that didn't even know he was a clone. It wouldn't be that weird for Connor to have sleeper programming.
If anything, this is on Batman and the others for trying to force a relationship.

first date gone wrong / lando norris x reader
pairing: lando norris x reader
song: videoclub - roi
summary: a chaotic first date with Lando Norrisâfrom spilled wine to fire alarmsâturns into an unforgettable night, proving that sometimes, disaster leads to the best moments
wc: 1.5k
You had been waiting for this night for what felt like forever. After months of playful banter, lingering looks, and not-so-subtle flirting, Lando had finally asked you out. When he suggested dinner at a trendy new restaurant in the heart of the city, your excitement had skyrocketed. You spent far too long getting ready, agonizing over what to wear, how to do your hair, and if your nerves were showing.
This was Lando Norris, after all. Charming, witty, and undeniably attractiveânot to mention one of the most talented drivers in Formula 1. The thought of this date being a disaster hadnât even crossed your mind.
But perfect was far from how things were turning out.
The first sign of disaster came when Lando texted you, telling you he was running late. Something about getting stuck in traffic after a last-minute sim session. Typical. Still, when he finally showed up, his sheepish grin and casual apology had you forgiving him instantly.
âSorry, love. I swear, the city just conspires against me,â he said, pulling you into a quick hug before stepping back to give you a once-over. His eyes widened, clearly impressed. âYou look...wow.â
Your cheeks heated at the compliment, but before you could respond, the maĂźtre dâ cleared his throat, reminding you both that you were, in fact, standing in the entrance of a fancy restaurant, blocking traffic.
Once seated, things seemed to fall into place. The restaurant was beautifulâdimly lit with a warm, inviting atmosphere. The soft glow of candlelight flickered between you, and the background noise of clinking glasses and murmured conversations created the perfect ambiance. Lando, dressed in a casual suit jacket and his signature charm, leaned forward, resting his elbows on the table, clearly ready to dive into the night.
âSo,â he said, flashing you a grin, âhow have I managed to convince you to actually go out with me?â
You rolled your eyes, playing along. âConvince me? More like I was waiting for you to finally get a clue.â
Lando let out a bark of laughter, his eyes crinkling at the edges. âFair point. I guess Iâm a bit slow off the line sometimes.â
The conversation flowed easily, as it always did with Lando. He made you laugh without even trying, and before you knew it, you were both swapping stories about your lives, joking about past experiences, and sharing little pieces of yourselves that you hadnât before. It felt effortlessâlike youâd been doing this for ages.
That is, until the drinks arrived.
As the waiter set the glasses down, one of them tipped slightly, sending red wine spilling all over your lap. You gasped, pushing your chair back in shock as the cold liquid seeped into your clothes.
âOh, no,â you muttered, trying to dab at your dress with a napkin.
Lando was instantly on his feet, grabbing napkins and doing his best to help. âIâm so sorry! Iâllâuh, Iâll get them to bring something else. Can we get some towels?â he called out to the waiter, who looked equally mortified.
You couldnât help but laugh. It was a ridiculous situationâyour carefully chosen outfit now stained with wineâbut the way Lando was scrambling to fix things made it impossible to be upset. âWell, at least I didnât wear white.â
Lando grinned, though his eyes were full of guilt. âI swear this never happensâŠexcept for that one time I spilled water all over my steering wheel during a stream.â
You chuckled. âYouâre not exactly selling yourself here.â
âStick around. I promise I get better,â he said with a wink, his teasing easing the tension.
Once the wine debacle was resolved, things seemed to settle again. The waiter brought fresh drinks, and you resumed your conversation, laughing about the incident. But as the evening continued, so did the mishaps.
Just as your food arrived, the fire alarm went off. You stared at each other in confusion, until one of the waiters rushed over, explaining that someone in the kitchen had overcooked a dish, and the smoke had set off the alarm. The entire restaurant had to be evacuated.
You and Lando found yourselves standing outside in the chilly night air, arms crossed as you waited for the chaos to die down. The sight of him, bundled up in his jacket with his hair slightly tousled from the wind, was somehow even more charming.
âWell,â Lando said with a wry smile, rubbing the back of his neck. âThis is going well.â
You couldnât help but laugh. âIs this part of your plan? To make this the most chaotic date ever?â
Lando grinned sheepishly. âWhat can I say? I like to keep things interesting.â
The restaurant staff eventually got the situation under control, and you were allowed back inside. Your food was still warm, surprisingly, and it looked delicious. For a few blissful moments, it seemed like things were back on track.
Until, of course, Lando knocked over his drink. Again.
The glass tumbled across the table, the contents spilling everywhere. You reached out instinctively, trying to catch it, but it was too late. The drink splashed onto the floor, and in a comedy of errors, the waiterâalready flustered from the earlier fire alarmâslipped on the liquid, sending the rest of the meal crashing down with him.
You and Lando sat in stunned silence for a moment before both of you burst into uncontrollable laughter.
âWell,â you managed between giggles, âat least the food didnât end up in my lap this time.â
Lando leaned back in his chair, shaking his head in disbelief. âIâm officially the worst date ever. Like, this is rock bottom.â
You wiped away a tear from laughing so hard and gave him a sympathetic smile. âI donât know, I think this is pretty unforgettable.â
âUnforgettable in the worst possible way,â he groaned, though you could see the humor returning to his eyes. âI swear, Iâll make it up to you. How about a second date? One where we donât destroy an entire restaurant?â
You smiled, warmth spreading through your chest. âOnly if it ends with a McFlurry.â
Lando chuckled, nodding. âDeal.â
By the time you both finally finished the salvaged portions of your meal, the restaurant staff had given up on trying to maintain any semblance of order. You could feel the eyes of the other patrons on you, some clearly entertained by your eveningâs chaos, while others just wanted you both out of there before another disaster struck.
When you left the restaurant, the air was cool and crisp, the city buzzing quietly around you. Lando reached for your hand as you walked down the street, his fingers lacing with yours as if it was the most natural thing in the world.
âThis is turning into the weirdest night,â you said with a laugh, glancing up at him.
He smiled, his thumb brushing lightly over your knuckles. âI donât know. I think itâs one of the best.â
You raised an eyebrow, clearly amused. âEven after everything that went wrong?â
Lando shrugged, his gaze softening. âYeah. Because Iâm with you.â
You rolled your eyes at the cheesiness of his comment, but your heart still skipped a beat. You had to admitâthere was something charming about the whole mess of a night. It was chaotic, unpredictable, and far from perfect, but somehow, it felt like exactly what you both needed.
As you continued walking, the conversation turned light again, the easy rhythm between you returning as you joked about the disaster of a date. But there was an undercurrent nowâsomething deeper that hadnât been there before. The casual touches, the lingering glancesâit all felt like more than just playful teasing now.
By the time you reached your car, the energy between you had shifted. Lando stopped, turning to face you, his hand still wrapped around yours.
âThanks for not running away mid-date,â he teased, his eyes twinkling with amusement.
You smiled, stepping a little closer to him. âHey, I like a bit of chaos. Keeps things interesting.â
He chuckled softly, his gaze dropping to your lips for just a fraction of a second before meeting your eyes again. The playful banter from earlier was gone, replaced by something heavierâsomething that made your heart race.
âI guessâŠchaos works for us,â Lando murmured, his voice barely above a whisper.
Before you could respond, Lando closed the distance between you, his hand gently cupping the side of your face as he leaned in. His lips brushed against yours, soft and tentative at first, like he was testing the waters. But when you kissed him back, the hesitation disappeared, and the kiss deepened, warm and full of the unspoken feelings that had been building between you for months.
The world around you seemed to fade away, leaving just the two of you standing there, lost in the moment. His other hand slid around your waist, pulling you closer, and you melted into him, feeling the warmth of his body against yours.
When he finally pulled back, his forehead rested against yours, both of you breathing heavily.
âWell,â Lando said with a breathless chuckle, âIâd say that was the best part of the night.â
You smiled, your heart still racing. âYeah. Iâd say it was worth all the chaos.â

The Sith Order.
All the members of the Hellfire Club and your group, The Sith Order, maintained a cordial and mutually respectful relationship, with the exception of the tense rivalry between you and the opposing leader, the insufferable Eddie. You hated him so much, especially now that you had bet your grand dice, which your brother had given you as a gift.
The abandoned cabin loomed like a shadow among the trees of the forest, a forgotten refuge that now housed your group of friends and your imaginary adventures. Inside, the air was filled with a smell of dampness and earth, a constant reminder of nature reclaiming its space. The once cozy and lived-in furniture was now covered in a layer of dust and cobwebs that wove complex patterns in every corner.
The sofa, your throne, was worn out, with upholstery torn in several places, revealing the crumbling yellowed foam at the touch. Dark stains of time adorned the fabric, and every time you moved, a cloud of dust rose like a sigh from the cabin itself. Sitting there, on your stomach, with a furrowed brow and crossed arms, you couldn't help but feel the rough and cold texture of the sofa against your skin, a reminder of your recent defeat in the game.
Around you, the tables wobbled on uneven legs, their surfaces scratched and marked with circles from past glasses. The faded and torn curtains hung sadly from the windows, allowing dim light to filter in and illuminate the dust particles in the air. The floor creaked under the weight of footsteps, and each floorboard seemed to tell a story of abandonment.
In this space, time seemed to have stopped, and every object told the story of a better past now eclipsed by neglect and desolation.
You felt as if a storm was brewing inside you, a mixture of frustration and challenge that consumed you as you sat on the sofa. The defeat in the friendly game was a thorn in your pride, a small battle lost in a war that seemed to extend beyond the game of dragons and dungeons. The rivalry with the Hellfire Club and its leader, Eddie, was the real dragon to be defeated, and every thought of him fueled the flames of your resentment.
Eddie, with his arrogant smile and his ability to bring out the best in his players, had become the antagonist not only in the game, but in your mind and life. You imagined him, with his tousled hair and carefree attitude, as the perfect villain for your campaign, one who seemed to enjoy every time his group came out victorious. The idea that he might consider your defeat as a point in his favor was unbearable.
While your friends continued with the campaign, laughing, stressed, focused, and rolling dice, you immersed yourself in your thoughts, planning your next move. It was not just a matter of winning a game; it was a matter of honor, of proving that your group could overcome any challenge, even the infamous Hellfire Club. Determination began to replace frustration, and although you still felt the bitterness of defeat, there was now a new goal on the horizon: to defeat Eddie and prove that your group was the best in the fantasy game.
But... were you really prepared for tonight?
...
Eddie, with a sly smile and a spark of malice in his eyes, steps forward to greet you in the lair of the Hellfire Club, the basement of the institute, the setting of countless campaigns and now the battlefield of your latest challenge. As the girls from your club gather in the space, filled with detailed maps and meticulously painted character figures, Eddie focuses on you, his most formidable rival.
"Welcome, oh great 'Mialee!'" he exclaims with an exaggeratedly theatrical and ironic tone, making a reference to the elven mage character to underline his mockery. "I hope your spells are as sharp as your tongue this time, and that your strategies are less predictable than your expressions of defeat."
You can feel the gaze of the others on you, some with complicit smiles and others with cautious curiosity. Eddie continues, not missing the opportunity to poke at your pride: "I hope you brought your Dragon Crystal Die, because something tells me you're going to need all the luck you can get."
The lair resonates with the stifled laughter of the club members, and although you know that Eddie's words are part of the rivalry game, you also feel that each joke is a challenge to your skill and determination. With a firm gaze and unwavering resolve, you prepare to show that this battle will be different, that this time, Eddie will be the one left speechless at the end of the night.
"You are living proof that not everything that glitters in a treasure is gold, and in your case, it's not even copper," you say, challenging him as you look him in the eyes. With a confidence that resonates in every word, you confront Eddie, your eyes shining with the reflection of the candles that illuminate the basement. "I hope you haven't forgotten your part of the bet, Eddie," you say with a firm and clear voice that cuts through the tension in the room. "That Orb of Entwined Destinies you so proudly show off will be mine before the moon reaches its zenith."
The Orb of Entwined Destinies was a perfect sphere of dark crystal, with a core that seemed to contain a miniature nebula, ever-changing and slowly rotating. It was more than just an object for Eddie; it was a symbol of his ability to manipulate probabilities and destiny within the game.
The mention of the orb makes Eddie's smile falter for a moment, a crack in his facade of confidence. You know you have hit a sensitive point, reminding him that you are not the only one with something valuable at stake. "Get ready, Eddie," you continue, "because when I'm done with you and the Hellfire Club, that orb will be the trophy of The Sith Order, and your luck will change forever," you spit, leaving the boys dumbfounded, unlike his group of friends, as they were used to this kind of speech.
Lucas, with a carefree smile and a tone bordering on disbelief, tries to lighten the atmosphere that has built up in the room. "Come on, guys, don't you realize? It's just a dumb bet, right? There's no need to turn this into an epic battle or something..." he comments, his voice a thread of sanity in the tapestry of rivalry unfolding before him.
However, his attempt to lighten the mood is quickly quashed by a severe look from both leaders, who in a rare moment of unity gesture to him with a stern gesture and an almost synchronized "Shh!" The seriousness of their bet is not something they are willing to downplay, even with Lucas' playful interjection.
The battle between The Sith Order and the Hellfire Club unfolds in a fantasy world woven with the magic of dragons and dungeons, but the tension is as real as the beating hearts of the players. The room, illuminated by the flickering light of the candles, has transformed into an epic battlefield where each roll of the dice resonates like the clash of swords.
The Sith Order bravely faces the challenges posed by Eddie and his Hellfire Club. The dice roll on the table like distant thunder, dictating the fate of heroes and villains alike. You, The Sith Order, with characters ranging from cunning rogues to powerful sorceresses, maneuver through traps and puzzles that Eddie has crafted with malicious skill. The battle intensifies, with each strategic move and each spell cast adding layers to the unfolding narrative. Your characters fight hordes of infernal creatures, cross dark abysses, and decipher ancient codices to unravel the secrets that will lead them to victory.
As the night progresses, a tie seems imminent. The Hellfire Club has countered every attack, every plan, with a precision bordering on the supernatural. But you, with your leading character, are not willing to give up. With a mix of cunning and a bit of luck, you roll the dice for one last masterful play. Silence fills the room as the dice roll, dancing on the edge of the abyss between victory and defeat. Finally, they settle, and the numbers they show are the harbinger of a tide change. Your play has been successful, overcoming the defenses of the Hellfire Club and securing an unexpected triumph.
Eddie, with a look of genuine astonishment, acknowledges the victory of The Sith Order, albeit reluctantly. You, with a smile of satisfaction, accept the Orb of Entwined Destinies, now rightfully yours.
Amidst the euphoria of victory, one of the girls from your group, with a contagious smile and an overflowing energy, suggests an idea that captures everyone's attention. "How about we celebrate with some pizzas? It would be great to relax and enjoy the moment," she says enthusiastically.
The idea is met with a mix of nods and smiles. It is a comfortable and familiar proposition, a perfect way to lower the intensity of the night and simply enjoy each other's company. Everyone, except you and Eddie, seems to agree. The tension of the battle still clings to you, and the idea of sharing a table with Eddie and his club, even in a neutral and friendly environment, is something that you find hard to accept, just like Eddie.
However, aware that rejecting the offer could be seen as poor sportsmanship, both of you reluctantly agree with a gesture of resignation. "Fine, but only because I'm hungry," you murmur, trying to hide your reluctance behind a practical excuse. Eddie nods silently, his serious expression revealing his reluctant agreement.
And so, with victory still fresh and emotions running high, the group sets off to share a meal that promises to be as full of flavor as it is of interesting dynamics.
The night has slipped into a soft twilight when everyone, now relieved of the tension of the game, finds themselves in Eddie's van. The space is filled with laughter and the sound of bottles clinking together. "Cheers!" the group shouts for the sixth time, raising their beers in the air in a toast that has become a ritual.
Eddie's van, with its worn seats, stickers, dirt, and windows displaying the world passing by at high speed, has become a temporary sanctuary of camaraderie. With each new "Cheers!", the barriers between The Sith Order and the Hellfire Club seem to dissolve a little more, erased by the alcohol and the shared joy. Or so it seems...
Eddie's van snakes along the road, a lonely path flanked by the silhouette of trees gently swaying under the starry sky. In the front seats, silence between Eddie and you is a marked contrast to the bustle that reigns in the back, where the rest of the group sings enthusiastically game anthems, interspersed with laughter and the sound of opening beers.
You, with crossed legs and a beer can resting in your hands, get lost in contemplation of the nature that unfolds before your eyes. The moonlight bathes the landscape, transforming each tree and bush into dancing shadows that play hide and seek with each turn of the road.
Eddie, with his attention focused on the road, drives with a slowness that seems to respect the shared silence. His profile stands out against the occasional glow of distant street lamps, and although you are together in the cabin, an abyss of unspoken words stretches between you.
"Hey..." Eddie's voice breaks the silence, a word hanging in the air that seems to wait for permission to continue. He does not look away from the road, as if fearing that a moment of distraction could reveal more than he intends.
You turn your head towards him, an eyebrow arched in a mixture of surprise and curiosity. It is strange, this attempt at conversation. Outside the game, words between you have been as scarce as leaves in winter. You have never crossed more than strategies and challenges, and now, this attempt at dialogue seems as out of place as a barbarian in a library.
The tension between you is palpable, a taut thread that is woven with each kilometer the van devours. What words will follow that "hey"? Will it be an attempt at a truce, or perhaps the prelude to another challenge? Time seems to stand still as you wait for Eddie to continue, and in that moment, the van is not just a moving vehicle, but a space where two rivals might, just maybe, begin to see each other as something more.
"No... no, nothing. Forget it..." he murmurs softly, not taking his eyes off the road, but now looking more tense, sighing.
You decide not to insist, but this time not averting your gaze from those long locks, but discreetly examining them for some kind of response.
Eddie's van glides to a smooth stop in front of a caravan. As he turns off the engine, Eddie's expression transforms. The seriousness that marked his face during the journey gives way to a genuine smile, an open invitation to continue the night in a space that is as much a part of him as the game they both love. "Come on, guys! The party continues at my place!" he exclaims with enthusiasm, his voice resonating with the promise of more laughter and memories to be created. "We can drink as much as we want, and if anyone's interested, there's weed too. My uncle works nights, so we have the place to ourselves."
Friends and friends respond with a chorus of approval, their stumbling steps and complicit smiles sealing the tacit agreement to extend the celebration. One by one, they enter the caravan, a cozy space illuminated by dim lights and adorned with mementos from trips and caps. A bit messy, but cozy.
You, with a mix of caution and curiosity, are the last to cross the threshold. Your eyes meet Eddie's, and for a moment, the outside world fades away. Eddie closes the door behind you, a simple gesture but loaded with meaning. You stand there, still, remembering the unfinished conversation, the words that Eddie left hanging in the air.
Feeling the weight of the night and the looks charged with unanswered questions, you decide to join the group that has settled in the caravan. You grab a few more beers, your hand brushing against the cold surface of the can, and sit at one end of the narrow sofa from where you can observe the scene. Eddie, on the other hand, seems different tonight. The usual arrogance that characterizes him has given way to an unusual stillness, almost reflective. Was defeat the cause of this change? Or was there something deeper behind his silence?
With each passing minute, glances between you meet like swords in a silent duel, full of questions that neither of you dares to voice aloud. After an hour of this game of looks, you feel the need to escape, if only for a moment, from the intensity of the atmosphere.
"Where is the bathroom?" you ask, your voice strangely formal in the relaxed atmosphere. Eddie points to a small hallway at the back, and you get up, navigating the space filled with laughter and conversations until you reach the bathroom.
Inside, you find yourself facing the mirror, your reflection returning an image of someone who seems to be on the border between two worlds. You wet the back of your neck, not wanting to ruin your makeup, and step out, feeling refreshed but still restless.
As you pass through the narrow exit of the bathroom, you collide with the partially open door of Eddie's room, and curiosity gets the better of you. You discreetly peek inside, your eyes scanning the space that is so intimately his. The room is adorned with posters of rock bands, metal, clothes everywhere, magazines scattered on the floor, and action figures of fantasy heroes, a mix of passions that reveal facets of Eddie that you had never considered. On the bed lies an open diary with scribbles and handwritten notes.
Eddie, with his carefree smile, leans against the doorframe, watching you with curiosity as you try to process the mess. "What are you doing here?" he repeats, his voice gentle but clearly amused by your confused expression. The scent of marijuana is evident, and his eyes, although red, gleam with a mischievous spark. He seems not to mind in the least your presence in his personal sanctuary. You feel like an intruder in an unknown world, every object in the room telling a story that only Eddie knows. However, he, with that calm bordering on indifference, gestures for you to enter. "Come, I'll show you my collection," he says casually, and suddenly, the place transforms. What was chaos before now seems like an art gallery, each hanging T-shirt, each vinyl, and each magazine clipping is a piece of his identity. He guides you through his space, narrating anecdotes of concerts and trips, his voice a thread weaving a tapestry of lived experiences.
The initial embarrassment fades away, replaced by fascination at discovering the depth of Eddie's personality. And as he shares his world with you, the messy room becomes a map of his personal universe, a place that, despite the disorder, now makes sense.
As you survey the room with your gaze, something catches your attention and takes your breath away: a proudly displayed B.C. Rich guitar hanging on the wall.
It is a red and shiny beauty, with its aggressive shapes and air of mystery, a piece that any metal lover would desire. Your heart beats with excitement, not only because of the surprise of finding such a treasure in Eddie's room, but because metal is your passion, one of the many things you have in common with Eddie without even knowing it, a detail he is unaware of.
He notices your excitement and, with a mischievous smile, takes down the guitar and hands it to you. "It's all yours, at least for now," he says with a wink. You hold it in your hands with reverence, feeling the weight of the wood and the coldness of the metal.
With shyness but moved by the emotion, you ask Eddie to play something. He shrugs, regretting the lack of an amplifier, but he is not discouraged. With a mischievous smile, he starts "playing" the guitar silently, mimicking the sounds with his mouth. It's a parody, but there is something about his attitude that invites you to play along.
"Come on, guess which song this is," he challenges you, as he moves his fingers in the air and imaginary sounds of a song fill the room. You concentrate, trying to follow the rhythm and melody that Eddie creates. The silent notes seem to come to life, and suddenly, you recognize it. It's 'Time Is Right' by Whitesnake.
Laughter fills the room as you guess it, and Eddie nods approvingly. "I knew you were one of mine, babe," he says, and in that moment, the guitar is not just an instrument, but a bridge between two souls who share a hidden passion for metal and many other things.
A blush creeps up your cheeks, an unexpected warmth that takes you by surprise. The word "babe" resonates in your ears, a term so casual and yet, loaded with an intimacy you did not expect. It feels as if you are inside the pages of one of those erotic books your mother used to read in secret, where the protagonists, initially at odds, end up wrapped in a story of love and rough sex.
Eddie's gaze has become more intense, his eyes no longer just reflecting the reddish glow of a pot smoker, but also a different glow, deeper, provoked by your presence. There is something about the way he looks at you that makes you feel like you are the only person in the world at that moment, but at the same time, as if he is undressing you.
You find yourself returning his gaze, unable to look away from his eyes. There is a connection, an unspoken understanding that seems to transcend words. And while a part of you wants to laugh at the situation, at how absurd it is to feel like a character in a pornographic novel, you cannot deny the electricity in the air, that spicy tension that hangs between the two of you.
Eddie takes a step towards you, his proximity overwhelming, and although he does not say anything more, he doesn't need to. Words are unnecessary when the looks speak for themselves. And in that instant, in that messy room that smells of marijuana and freedom, you understand that sometimes, real life can be as surprising and exciting as the stories hidden within the pages of a book.
After that moment, the room seems smaller, as if the walls had closed in to witness the silence shared between you. You decide to break the tension with a nervous smile and a change of subject. "Hey... what did you want to ask me before, you know, in the van?" you ask, stuttering slightly as you feel Eddie's scent filling your nostrils.
Eddie leaned against the threshold of the door, just inches away, watching your lips adorned with an intense crimson and your lined eyes attentively. "Ah, that..." he wondered, feigning forgetfulness. "I think I wanted to say something about Dungeons and Dragons, right?" he inquired with irony, biting his lip as he laughed and crossed his arms.
None of this compared to the fantasies you had with Eddie. Let's admit it, you had imagined countless similar scenarios, all related to the game and its protagonist, Eddie. You had wished for him to touch you in the same way he caresses his guitar. You wanted to be that fucking guitar.
"I don't think I want to talk about that right now..." you whispered, slowly moving closer to Eddie, who raised an eyebrow and smiled widely, catching your hint.
"Well then, if you don't want to listen to me, why don't you shut me up?" he whispered near your ear, sending a shiver down your spine. He grabbed your belt, holding your short denim skirt, forcing you to be pressed against him. "I said, why don't you shut me up..."
Eddie played dirty even outside of his character. He wanted you to take the initiative, perhaps to mock you or further feed his ego, but you wouldn't allow that to happen. With confidence, you ran your tongue over your lips and approached his neck, whispering, "I don't plan on silencing you. I enjoy listening to you and narrating each campaign..." This excited him, caressing your shoulder and getting closer, causing your breasts to press against him, eliciting a reaction in his groin. "Then, shut me up. I know you've wanted to since you met me," you whispered, trying to provoke him, with some success.
He responded by pushing you against the wall, trapping you between it and his body, placing his thigh between yours and gripping your waist tightly, feeling the coldness of his rings against your bare skin. "What I've wanted since I met you is to fuck you on the Harken map, so that your screams scare away the undead lurking there..." he muttered with a deep voice, softly kissing your collarbone, causing a sigh to escape your lips. With captivating slowness, Eddie guides his lips to yours, each movement deliberate and filled with anticipation. When they finally meet, the kiss is like an explosion of fire, burning and passionate. His lips sink into yours with an intensity that leaves you breathless, and his tongue boldly slides in to explore every corner of your mouth from the very first moment.
As your lips entwine in a sensual dance, his hands find your breasts with a firmness that surprises and excites you at the same time. The pressure of his hands cupping your breasts sends a wave of pleasure through your body, making you involuntarily shudder at the intense and unfamiliar sensation. You never expected this reaction, but you find yourself completely captivated by the desire that Eddie awakens in you, leaving you craving more of his passionate touch.
Eddie suddenly stops, his fingers noticing the absence of the bra he expected to find. A mischievous spark shines in his eyes as he looks at you with a mixture of surprise and desire. With a naughty smile on his lips, he whispers in your ear in a seductive tone, "Wow, looks like the girl comes with nothing...," murmuring with a hoarse voice, his warm breath sending shivers down your naked skin. His comment, though bold, is imbued with an irresistible sensuality that makes you blush and feel even more drawn to him. It feels like you're in a scene taken straight from one of those forbidden novels your mother used to find in the library, but this time, you're the protagonist, enveloped in the heat of shared desire with Eddie.
With expert dexterity, Eddie deepens the kiss, intensifying each brush of his lips against yours. As his tongue explores yours with unrestrained passion, his thigh slides and exerts pressure between yours, finding its way under your denim skirt, lifting it almost completely, hitting just that sensitive spot that makes your whole body react instantly.
"Mhmmm..." an involuntary moan escapes your lips as you feel the perfectly placed pressure of his thigh against you, sending waves of pleasure through your body. You feel the need to ride that leg. You were very wet at that moment, so the touch was making you even wetter.
He moves it with precision between yours, creating a delicious friction that awakens sensations that make you gasp against his lips. Each movement is calculated, designed to provoke maximum pleasure, as his thigh finds that sensitive spot on your body, sending waves of excitement through you.
"You've got me so hard..." with a throaty whisper, he makes you aware of the effect you have on him, sending a thrill of excitement down your spine. His warm breath against your lips only increases the intensity of the moment. You feel your heart pounding hard as you let yourself be carried away by the passion swirling around you. Then, with seductive skill, he leans slightly down, his strong hands gripping the bottom of your thighs to open you up and wrap around his waist. The change in position allows his bulge to press directly against your underwear, which is exposed by the previous lifting of your skirt. A wave of desire surges through your being as you feel his prominence brushing directly against your sensitive and swollen clit, sending sparks of pleasure that seem to electrify every fiber of your being.
The movements of his hips are precise and deliberate, each delicious brush torturous while engulfing you deeper into the abyss of pleasure. The sounds of your ragged breathing blend with the seductive whispers and soft moans escaping between hot kisses. You are completely at the mercy of the passion Eddie unleashes in you, lost in the whirlwind of overwhelming sensations that threaten to consume you completely.
The barely contained moan escapes your lips between kisses as you feel Eddie's gentle hip movement, a movement that sends you soaring to the heights of pleasure. Still with your thighs tightly wrapped around his hips, you give in to a wild and passionate kiss, with an intensity that defies any limit.
The kiss becomes a whirlwind of unabated passion, your hands gripping his shoulders tightly as you let yourself be carried away by the overwhelming sensations. Amidst the heat of the moment, you feel Eddie release one of your legs, changing the dynamics of the position and making you feel his bulge even more. Now, in this new position, the contact with his clothed cock is even more evident, causing you to instinctively arch your hips towards him, seeking more contact, more friction. You feel his hands grip your buttocks firmly, aggressively pressing you against his jeans, as if he is eager to feel you even closer.
The brushes and hip movements become increasingly intense, a symphony of pleasure that seems to have no end. You are completely immersed in the moment.
"Mmhm... fuck..." Between moans escaping your lips, accompanied by the sensual movements of your hips, Eddie suddenly stops, only to turn off the bedroom light and then guides you, still with your body on top of his, to his disheveled bed. He places you on your back on the tousled sheets, and positions himself above you, burning desire reflected in his gaze as he begins to explore your neck with hot kisses and licks. Each touch of his tongue against your skin awakens an electric sensation that makes you tremble with pleasure. His expert hands play with your nipples from inside your top, squeezing and teasing them while his thighs continue to exert delicious pressure on your intimate area, making you gasp with each movement, holding onto his back.
Slowly, your rival moves down your body with controlled impatience, licking and kissing your abdomen eagerly before quickly lifting your top and leaving you exposed before him. His lips find your breasts, and he kisses and licks them with devotion, as if they are the most delicious thing he has ever tasted. His long hair sometimes gets tangled in his face, but when you start gently tugging on it for pleasure, he moves away, leaving behind an incredibly enticing scene that makes you arch your hips forward instinctively.
While Eddie continues to lavish attention on your breasts, his hands begin to explore above your underwear with his ring finger, stroking gently from top to bottom. "Do you like it like this?" he asks between kisses and licks, asking you with a husky voice if you're enjoying yourself, establishing an intimate and desire-filled dialogue that only increases the sexual tension between you. "Or is it better like this?" he increases the speed of his touch.
Your silence prompts Eddie to grab your chin firmly, his fingers exerting a dominant and sexual pressure as he forces you to look into his eyes. When you finally respond to his question with an intense gaze, he slowly releases you, going back down to give attention to your body. His lips find your panties, and he kisses and licks them eagerly, soaking them with his saliva mixed with your own excited wetness.
With precise and deliberate movements, Eddie slowly pulls down your panties, placing soft kisses on your inner thigh as he slides them down your legs. Once he has removed your panties, his eyes meet your exposed, naked, and wet pussy, and he can't help but feel his cock throbbing with an unprecedented intensity, eager to satisfy the burning desire between them. You feel incredibly exposed under his heated gaze, but Eddie sees you as a work of art, a sight that excites him to the limit. Without wasting time, Eddie gives you a generic lick to your wet pussy, spreading your lips with his fingers to access your exposed clit directly. An overwhelming moan escapes your lips at the wave of pleasure that courses through your body, but Eddie quickly covers your mouth, whispering that you can't moan to avoid being heard in the common area where the others are.
With a mischievous smile on his face, Eddie realizes that the loud music has concealed any sound that would have revealed their activities in the bedroom. With your mouth still covered, he delves into the task with renewed eagerness, licking and sucking your clit with an intensity that makes your body arch in response. Each suck and each lick sends waves of pleasure through you, taking you to the edge of ecstasy over and over again. Your hips move instinctively in response to the overwhelming pleasure, but Eddie firmly controls them, maintaining a rhythm that takes you closer and closer to the precipice of pleasure. With an expert hand, he begins caressing your abdomen, slowly descending until reaching your clit, parting his mouth for a moment to touch it with his fingers before inserting two of them without any prior preparation.
The sudden stimulus causes your eyes to roll back, and your thighs tighten with force from the pleasure that overwhelms you, arching your back and moving your hips towards the direction of the long-haired person. In a short time, Eddie goes back to action, losing himself between your thighs as he continues moving his fingers with unwavering determination.
He continues like this for a few minutes, not stopping for a moment, until you feel that you're about to reach climax. You grab his hair with incredible strength, almost burying your fingers in its roots, urging him to continue, feeling like you're about to burst in his mouth. But just as you're on the edge of orgasm, he pulls away from you, leaving a thread of saliva mixed with your wetness as a separation between his mouth and your pussy, leaving you in a state of uncontrollable anticipation and desire.
Eddie, eager to satisfy his burning desire, hastily fumbles with his zipper and unleashes his erect cock, ready for action. Eddie's cock, although of average size, has a peculiarity that sets it apart: a curved shape that gives it a unique and distinctive appearance. Its thickness is notable, and the veins that run along its length add texture to its look. The skin that covers it has a pink tone, with a reddish hue indicating the excitement that engulfs it. A slightly glistening liquid adorns its tip. It is an image that reflects virility and desire, a promise of intense pleasure about to be unleashed.
"How does this look, huh?" he moves it, noticeably sensitive, gently rubbing it against your clit, giving you a mischievous look as if he's playing a game with you. Without warning, after lightly masturbating it, he quickly and decisively inserts it into you, completely surprising you and leaving you breathless. "Mhmmm..." he sighs deeply, as if a weight has been lifted off his shoulders, arching his head backward. From the very first second, he begins to thrust into you with a dizzying rhythm, penetrating you deeply over and over again. You are overwhelmed by the intensity of the pleasure that engulfs you, unable to articulate a single word as you completely surrender to the wild thrusts of the guy. Each thrust hits your insides with overpowering force, sending waves of ecstasy through your body.
Despite the initial discomfort from the lack of preparation, you find yourself immersed in a whirlwind of sensations that make you lose track of time and space.
You writhe under him, unable to hold back the moans that escape your lips as you completely surrender to the frenzied pleasure that consumes you. Although it hurts, you can't help but enjoy every thrust, every touch of his skin against yours ignites a burning fire inside you.
He grabs you by the neck with a firm but dominant hand, stopping any sound that could escape your lips. His warm breath brushes against your ear as he whispers with a husky and authoritative voice, "Shut up." The words, loaded with desire and determination, send a shiver down your spine, leaving you breathless and obedient to his command. You are completely surrendered to him, unable to do anything but obey his orders as you let yourself be carried away by the frenzied passion that burns between you. The orgasm that you had almost experienced less than a minute ago begins to resonate through your body again, but the intensity of Eddie's thrusts makes you feel like you're on the verge of a great climax. You are completely overwhelmed by the avalanche of sensations that envelop you, unable to resist the tide of pleasure that drags you into an endless abyss of ecstasy. Your increasingly intense and uncontrolled moans blend with the background music, creating a symphony of pleasure and ecstasy that fills the room. Eddie, releasing his hand from your neck, begins to hit your thigh and butt with a mixture of desire and unbridled passion. As he continues to thrust into you with force, his lascivious words fill the air, whispering in your ear with a deep and seductive voice.
He tells you how much he has wanted to fuck that pussy of yours, expressing his most intimate desires with an exciting crudeness that makes you shiver with pleasure. He calls you a slut with a tone of desire and adoration, celebrating your sexuality and the way you grip his cock with every thrust. Those words, charged with lust and desire, only increase the intensity of the moment, pushing you closer to climax with each word that comes out of his mouth.
You can feel yourself getting closer to the edge, every thrust of Eddie sending waves of pleasure through your body. He perceives it too, thanks to the way your pussy grips his cock, and he lets out a guttural grunt of satisfaction. You're on the edge of the abyss, about to let the ecstasy completely envelop you, while Eddie's lascivious moans and words push you towards the most glorious climax you've ever experienced
You feel the ecstasy completely enveloping you, a overwhelming wave of pleasure that shakes you to your core. Your walls contract tightly around Eddie's cock, squeezing with an intensity that makes him moan with pleasure. "Damn, you're so tight..."
Your body trembles uncontrollably, your eyes rolling back in your head as a guttural groan escapes from your lips, louder and more heartbreaking than ever before.
However, before you can fully recover from your orgasm, Eddie aggressively grabs you by the throat again, his expression a wild mix of concentration, excitement, and a hint of anger. With notable abruptness, he continues fucking with a renewed ferocity, as if taking revenge for something, but this time he has absolute control. The sensation of being taken with such force awakens a wild fire inside you, a overflowing passion that mixes with pain and pleasure in a symphony of indescribable sensations. You are completely immersed in the erotic game between you and Eddie, each thrust taking you further into the abyss of shared desire.
Thegame is now tied, each one taking the lead at different moments. You feel Eddie moaning with an unusual intensity, sensing that he's about to reach climax. You want to warn him not to come inside, but your throat is blocked by Eddie's firm hand, keeping you from articulating any words. A slight shiver runs through his body when he perceives your attempt to communicate your desire, but it's too late.
With a few final shaky thrusts, Eddie gives in to the avalanche of pleasure, releasing his hot and trembling liquid inside you. You accept his release without reserve, watching Eddie's expression as he does so. His face shows an unusual vulnerability, with arched eyebrows and a lost look somewhere in the room. His slightly parted lips release his moans of pleasure, and his hands grip your hips tightly, as if clinging to you for support.
After Eddie releases his liquid inside you, he slowly retreats and lies down by your side. Both of you remain staring at the ceiling, and suddenly, a nervous and uncontrollable laughter overwhelms you. Eddie looks at you strangely and asks what's happening. Between laughs, you respond that you just imagined that all of this was one of his campaigns, a kind of joke or experiment designed to test your limits and reactions. The surprise on Eddie's face turns into a knowing smile when he realizes that you have disarmed the tension of the moment with your humorous comment. Both of you give in to laughter, releasing the accumulated tension and sharing a moment of complicity after the unrestrained passion you just experienced together. It's an unexpected and light ending to an intimate and passionate encounter.

Smut without story
If you managed to fuck Art (which we can all admit it would be not so probable to begin with), he would absolutely kill you after, before or in between doing it. I think this man is not a necrophiliac entirely, and actually prefers a warm cunt than a cold and dry one, but I donât think he would be against fucking a corpse.
But if you surprisingly managed to pull this bastard between your legs, Iâd say it would go this way.
â>
Your pussy clenched tightly around his cock, almost as if had a mind of her own and wanted to suck his soul out of the very hole that managed to kiss your cervix each time the clown thrusted forward.
Your hands trying to maintain yourself up while grabbing the sink in front of you, your legs right now demonstrating how wobbly they were and useless to support your weight. You didnât even remember how, when or whereâŠ
But it all happened so fast, your pussy almost releasing a damn waterfall when you saw the characteristic clown costume that made your panties wet.
You âknewâ him, you couldnât help yourself, each time you saw a photo of him in the news, you were always making sure to close your legs together as much as you could while biting your lower lip painfully hard, hand already creeping down your shorts.
You had âmetâ him in an alley, you were too drunk to care for your well-being, or the fact that the County Miles clown was in front of you, bag on his back and the menacing grin all his victims got to see before killed. Your fucked up brain (for liking this killer clown and being drunk) decided it was a good idea to go running towards him in a drunken stumble, almost yelling how hot he was and how wet he always made you. The clown stopped smiling, almost as if it was thinking how down bad you had to be to not fear him right now or maybe he was just confused. It didnât matter in that moment, your core had throbbed upon seeing him and you were already pleading for him to fuck you little needy hole. You had the luck to find him in a good mood, deciding to humor you before turning your brain into mush.
So there you were, being finally fucked by the clown that twisted your panties in such a good way. The clown waved at you mockingly as he saw you look up to him, eyes glassy and hazy, lips slightly puffy from biting them constantly and black lipstick all over them in a messy sign that you had made out with the him moments earlier.
The clown laughed silently and dramatically at the sight of your face, a trail of saliva smudging the black lipstick in its way down, Art grabbed your throat, his palm on the front of your throat, forcing you to look up at him while he fucked your brains out, arching your back as far as he could. Hard, sharp and wet slaps decorating your moans and gasps in the tiny restroom of the gas station you guys were in.
It was a specific throb of your pussy that made the ever dramatic and playful clown drop his act immediately, as if someone had punched him in the gut with pleasure with the way your pussy uncontrollably clenched around his cock.
His expressions turned into a hard glare that sent a shiver down your spine, now uncomfortably bent by the way he was grabbing you. You would have thought he was mad if it wasnât for the way his eyes softened just a little hint, not of âadorationâ but of pleasure, you saw him clench his jaw as he looked down into your eyes, he was absolutely fucking you until you cried.
â>
You couldnât breathe, your legs had went numb minutes ago, he was the only one making sure you didnât buckle and fell to the floor. The repetition of the harsh slaps of his balls against your puffy clit made your clench your eyes shut, droll falling to the floor as he continued pounding into you, his face harsh, serious and just focused on your face and expressions. You had came just by his thrusts at least four times and you couldnât speak, breath or even think coherently at this point, and yet this fucking clown hadnât came once, as if he was purposely just edging himself again and again, as if he didnât want this to stop.
He had you in his arms, legs wrapped around his hips as your head rested on the crook of his neck, arms limps around his neck as he never stopped pounding into you. You were absolutely subbing at this point, not knowing if it was from pleasure or how sensitive you had become. He grabbed the back of your head as your back touched the damp and dirty wall of the restroom, his other hand grabbing your ass so you wouldnât fall down.
He surely wasnât normal, or human to that matter, you had taken notice of this in the bad way, he was restless and had inhumane force by the way he had manhandled you, his slender figure doing no justice to how fucking strong he was.
After a few stuttering snaps of his hips, he rested the head of his cock deep inside of you, almost tenderly letting it kiss the entrance of your cervix, white long streaks of cum coating your walls as you shivered in his arms, eyes not being able to open anymore, your body not responding.
â>
He looked at your limp figure resting against the wall, sat up in the floor while breathing heavily and shakily. You were tired? How cute, but now he was going to take his prize for humoring your cunt. He booped your nose, cooing mockingly at your figure before dressing himself up again, not even tired. His hands grabbed the axe of his ever present bag, slinging it over his shoulder before plunging it into your tired cockdrunk skull.
Thanking you silently for the fun.

Left Behind in Unsolicited Matrimony
Yandere Kalim
Masterlist | Beyond the Glitter of Gold
â
still can't think of a good title :/ been stuck on this fic for so long it's not even funny ;-; not edited cause I'm just happy to get it out finally!! (p.s. i play en server with no spoilers so no spoilers please)
âW-wait,â Kalim stammered out, the tanned boy looking uncharacteristically even as the celebrations around him continued on without missing a beat. Heartbeat hammering away in his ears, garnet red eyes that would fit right in amidst the priceless stones of the Asim familyâs collection were wide as they glanced between his parents. âWhat do you mean?â
âWe have to celebrate your engagement, of course,â his father chuckled, gesturing at the full-on festival playing out in front of him, the gold and priceless jewels twinkling like stars down from the ceiling of the grand hall. âHow could we not? It is a most joyous occasion.â
His heart skipped countless beats as it set a vicious beat in his chest, though his mind seemed to barely notice, thoughts pounding away against his skull like a jackhammer. The world around him felt like it was swirling along with the dancing guests even as he stood in place, his feet rooted in place as if an old tree from a bygone era. And his face looked the part as well, drained of all blood, every breath feeling more like a fight against heaving up everything he had eaten in the past twelve hours.Â
â
Engagement. An engagement. Of all things to deal with- Mind whirling, the tanned boy would have succumbed to his jelly legs if his mother hadnât been holding on to him. What should he do now?
âOh donât worry about anything dear, weâll have everything settled,â his mother reassured as she lightly squeezed his hand, no doubt mistaking the growing look of horror on his face for nervousness. âYou donât have to do anything at all.â
That was the furthest thing from his concern, was what he wanted to scream at the thought of his lungs, though Kalim couldnât exactly voice that sentiment, the ornate gold jewelry that decorated his tanned skin jingling slightly as his arms fell listlessly to his side. What had gone wrong for him to be in this situation? âBut why?â The Scarabia housewarden asked shakily. âI thought-âÂ
âWell, we set it all up for you as a surprise! Your birthday is so soon, we couldnât help it,â the older lady continued, grinning from ear to ear as she nudged her son playfully, her eyes slightly glassy as she harkened back to those good olâ days. âAnd we found the perfect girl for you. You remember her, donât you Kalim? That girl you tailed around so much when the two of you were kids.â
Yet despite his parentsâ hearty laughs as they exchanged memories and stories about the silly, happy child from his past, the glitter and glamor and the cheers that surrounded him, no matter how he tried with his usual brightside glasses, Kalim couldnât make himself see the upside of this situation he found himself in. Turning it upside down, inside out, all he could see was that should he simply agree, there would be but a single path for him to follow, a path he had no will to see through, and no way out.Â
Because there was no future the white-haired boy wanted to be a part of that didnât include you.
To his right, a nameless servant scrambling forward caught Kalimâs eye, the man respectfully pouring out another glass of wine for the Asim matriarch before disappearing back into the shadows. It wasnât anything momentous by any stretch of the imagination - in fact, it would have happened dozens of times a day, but that was all it took to drag the thought of you straight to the front of his brain again: the silent labor of the Asim staff would have been another part of his life he wouldnât have noticed if it wasnât for you pointing it out. You were everywhere, everything.
And then of course, the question of you. What about you?
â
Whirling around, eyes that could have been mistaken for shimmering rubies under the candlelight of the chandeliers overhead desperately searched the joyous, dancing crowds for you. And he found you quickly enough in a quiet corner of the hall, one gentle hand wrapped delicately around a glass of some kind, your silhouette hidden partially behind a set of drapes. Yes, there would be where he expected you to be, given you had always preferred the calm and silence as opposed to this chaotic party vibe not too dissimilar to Scarabiaâs on a regular day.
This was supposed to have been nothing more than a prime opportunity to show you the wonders and splendors of his homeland, the Land of the Scalding Sands. Sure, you werenât particularly favorable towards the riches and glamor that were the cornerstone of his life, refusing to accept even a single bangle that he hardly knew existed without being all but begged and whined into giving in; but the white-haired housewarden wanted you to see what laid beyond just the Asim family and their vast wealth. The depth of history of the land and people that grew side by side, the vibrant colors of its culture and heritage; there was so much to be seen and experienced. He fell in love with it, its past, present and future, over and over again, so maybe you would too.
All daydreams of the could-be were however shattered in an instant, when from a slight shift of your figure revealed your companion to be none other than Leona Kingscholar, that braided mane of dark brown hair and lion ears unmistaken.Â
Kalimâs gut dropped. Wait. When was he invited? More importantly, why were you talking to him?
â
All logic pointed to Leona having been invited by the Asim family, being the second prince of the Sunset Savannah and Kalimâs upperclassman. But watching you chattering along with the tanned beastman without missing a beat like old friends, it didnât feel right for him to just be standing here. And you only confirmed his worst fears when you chuckled at something the Savanaclaw housewarden said, to which the other laughed along, his hair swaying elegantly with his moment with an ease Kalim would never hope to be able to achieve. Was that a blush on your cheeks?!Â
The niggling doubt started to emerge, a trickle at first, taunting voices emerging like a hidden spring seeping out of freshly defrosted ground. And then it began to pour out as the floodgates opened, an uncontrollable torrent. You had no interest in Kalim, they whispered, no matter what he did. You would never be interested in him, not while he still had so many competitors for your eye.Â
Jealousy that Kalim never knew he possessed snared his heart, ugly, ugly feelings that he never wanted to acknowledge he even had in him making themselves known.
All he could see was you and Leona, the rest of the world blurred into a background blob, the ringing in his ears only growing louder with every passing second as your infuriating conversation continued blissfully unaware of his stares.
If only. If only Leona wasnât there. There was nothing more that Kalim wanted in the moment but to hurt the Sunset Savannah prince, wanted to get rid of him, to make sure he leaves and never be able to speak with you again; the feeling churned deep in his chest, a rage ignited that he couldnât seem to control, his fists both balled up tight to his side. He could make it happen, couldnât he? The voices taunted, the light breeze as if they were brushing up against his ear. Even if he wasnât royalty and Leona was, Kalim could wield the might of his family and make it happen.
â
You seemed to have felt his stare on you, the Scarabia housewarden subtly noted, as you shifted, looking around for the gaze on you.
It took but a blink as your eyes met his for Kalim to shake back to reality, watching your face visibly brighten as you started to make your way towards him, threading your way through the crowd as you eagerly waved in his direction. His world instantly lightened along with your expression, his once-heavy heart even starting to flutter slightly, though that warm feeling didnât last long, his parents still musing the good olâ times to the side catching the corner of his eyes.
Actually, come to think of it, this really was one of those times he rather you werenât here.
It was too late for that now, and the grin he forced himself to wear felt unusually uncomfortable.
âHere you are, Kalim! Weâve been looking all over for you,â your footsteps stuttered to a pause, and you leaned in slightly, the concern washing over your expression. âYou look pale! Are you alright?â
âOh! You must be the classmates weâve heard so much about!â The Asim matriarch stepped forward, grabbing your hand and giving it an enthusiastic shake. âWelcome to the Scalding Sands! Kalimâs just a bit too nervous right now since weâll be announcing his engagement."
But you didnât seem to notice the horror once more setting in on the young Asimâs face as that wretched word fell out of his motherâs mouth again, your hand instead flying up to cover your mouth in surprise. âOh! Congratulations Kalim!â His gaze instantly snapped to you. No. It wasnât true. You werenât supposed to know that. He didnât want to be engaged.Â
What the white-haired boy wanted was to deny, deny, deny everything and anything to you, but his mouth was dry and his voice didnât seem to want to work. And so all he could do was watch.
âYes, thank you,â his father graciously accepted, shaking your hand once his mother finally let go. âWeâre so very excited.â
âIâm sure you have a lot to discuss, so I will take my leave,â you politely nodded, excusing yourself from the situation.Â
Leona wasnât far behind, that infuriating smirk decorating his face as he too said his congratulations before sauntering off after you, and Kalimâs garnet eyes trailing your pair up till the two of you disappeared from the hall to parts unknown.
â
He was the one that had asked to bring friends over, and had been caught with his metaphorical pants down. How was he supposed to get out of this situation now? Chasing after you was what his heart was screaming at him, and dealing with Leona his mind, yet he simply stood, rooted to the spot, usual impulsive nature nowhere to be found.
â-so, would you like to meet her?â
Kalim turned almost robotically at the question, his gaze blank, unfocused. âWhat?â
âYour finance,â his father clarified rather unhelpfully, the older man tiptoeing slightly to look around the vast hall. âIâm sure sheâs somewhere here, I can call her over-â
âM-maybe later,â Kalim interjected hastily, though as much as he wanted to chase after you immediately, that would have to wait. âHow bout, how bout I-â Scanning the hall instead and leaving his sentence uncompleted, Jamil was easy enough to pick out amidst the sea of guests dressed to the nines, his simple outfit and golden hair ornaments making enough of a contrast to highlight the needle in the haystack. And no doubt his trusted friend and vice-housewarden had seen what had gone down, judging from those furrowed eyebrows and concerned stare.Â
A quick nod from the other and Jamil was off, quick footsteps carrying the black-haired boy down the same path you had taken just minutes earlier.
With that situation now under careful watch, Kalim turned back to his parents, laughing nervously. âHow bout I go and check on the guests first?
He needed to get to you.
Fast.

I should've made this in the first place to go as a reference to my post about Kabru rarely being shown eating (and when he does it, it isn't pleasurable) and linked it somewhere. I didn't feel like I needed to go through every example and based on people's tags I do think everyone gets it ... but I'm compiling this anyway because I find it really interesting from an artistic/writerly standpoint.
Like, Kabru obviously is eating meals in the abstract sense. But as I said, Kui almost never actually draws him putting food in his mouth. At first I assumed that she was avoiding it to save on space because he needs to be shown talking instead, but as I've looked back, I've noted that she doesn't usually shy away from giving characters speech bubbles even when they're chewing or they have utensils in their mouths. Unless they're Kabru.
This would realistically be the best time to actually show him eating, since it's a normal meal at a normal restaurant, but no. He doesn't actually put food in his mouth in this entire scene. They show him taking a bite in the anime, so I almost forgot, but honestly the manga just makes it look like he's picking at his food. Again: I'm sure he does eat this meal. My point is that I think it's a deliberate choice to keep that off-page, to contrast all the other characters who get to both visibly eat food and enjoy it.
As mentioned, Kabru is only shown drinking wine while his party eats the snacks in chapter 32. I think it's possible to infer that he doesn't actually eat any food here at all.
The harpy egg omelette bit barely counts as eating lmao we all saw him struggling to even swallow a bite down. Let's move on.
Quick sidebar:
Are we all going insane over this panel or is it just me? Okay continue.
Like with the omelette, it gets a checkmark for actually going into his mouth but no checkmark for enjoyment. He hates this. He's being spoon fed bad cake and patronized.
Next:
Literally the worst meal in Dungeon Meshi lmao.
Barometz:
He does actually eat this. Rare Kabru mastication panel, not clickbait. But it's kind of a sad moment when you remember that he was looking forward to a cultural dish of his mother's- literal comfort food from his childhood- and instead got the weird godless crab-meat-plant that is the barometz. This may be the only time Kabru goes looking for comfort, and he's pointedly denied it.
Next:
Yeah he isn't drawn eating during this entire scene either. Only drawn holding the food and his utensil.
As stated: still never shown eating. Deliberately shown getting Mithrun to eat instead. Kabru, the call is coming from inside the goddamn house.
Bavarois is next, and once again it gets a checkmark for actual on-page chewing but as we see, he still hates it and has to concentrate very hard and block out all thoughts of what he's doing in order to swallow it down without making a scene.
Okay. Faligon feast. Kabru does canonically spend days eating for the sake of Laios and Falin! Yay! Caloric fucking intake! Clean plate club!
And yet.
Literally shown stopping himself before he can put the food in his mouth.
Mickbell is so real for this. No one needed to hear a lecture from Senshi more than Kabru.
Anyway. Given how surgically precise Kui is with everything else in this story, I just feel the choice to constantly show Kabru focusing on his worries during mealtimes, instead of drawing him just enjoying food, was purposeful.
#dungeonposting#Dungeon Meshi meta#Kabru#'Are you eating properly?' he literally isn't lmfao everything about Kabru is so bleak#musings with Dea#no one has doubted me or anything I just felt the need to have a visual reference#like it isn't just a few instances it's every single time

New life
!! SPOILERS - Careful, Venom The last dance spoilers here !!!
I was wondering while watching the movie if that would give me new ideas for Eddie and his tiny alien, and yes, yes it did.
When Y/N had met Eddie Brock in a New York cafe, he had hesitated at first before accepting her into his life.
It had taken him several weeks to open up, talk to her, understand that she liked him, and then admit that he liked her too.
Once he had offered her his trust, he had explained why to her. Really explained everything, adding that he understood that she thought he was crazy and that she would decide to run away from him when he was done.
First, he had completely ruined his career and his relationship with his fiancée Anne by being selfish and stupid. For a long time, Eddie had refused to see the truth, making excuses, but he had to admit that it was all his fault.
Then, there was Venom. The alien symbiote who had brought as much joy as problems into his existence, before sacrificing himself to save him, along with the rest of humanity.
"He was my best friend." he said, trying to hold back his sobs. "He could be annoying, but I wasn't a gift either. We were supposed to see the Statue of Liberty together, but⊠Well. I miss him a lot. It's weird not hearing from him all the time. It's hard without him."
Not only did these revelations not scare Y/N away, but she found herself even more in love and touched by this wounded man who was doing his best to move forward despite everything he had been through.
Like a wild animal, it took a little more time to reassure Eddie that she really loved him and especially that he wasn't going to lose her.
For their first date, he offered her an ice cream, not far from Lady Liberty. Y/N took his hand, to support him, but especially so that he knew that she wasn't going to try to make him forget Venom.
Just because they were together didn't erase everything he'd experienced with his alien parasite friend, who was a lot like a boyfriend when he told her all their stories.
"Nah, just a friend."
"You said you loved each other."
"Like buddies."
"You had arguments as a couple. He was jealous and protective. You gave him chocolate on Valentine's Day."
"Once ! And to keep him quiet. And the rest was just a symbiote thing."
"You admitted to me that he 'took care of' your erections when he was in full form. Why did you have erections anyway ?"
"⊠Shit, I was in a relationship with Vee."
He cried again, in shock. Not because he was ashamed, but because he had not understood the nature of their relationship, much more intense than simple friendship. He did not blame Y/N for opening his eyes, as she did not hold back from doing so, thinking that it was necessary for him to grieve properly.
Several months passed, life continuing in an excellent direction.
After using his contacts and abilities, Eddie Brock had become a formidable reporter in New York, even if he was a little more careful about his methods and the people he wrote about.
In his private life, he made Y/N very happy, learning from his past mistakes to become the best boyfriend possible. No secrets, no lies, no manipulation to get information for an article. They were not in symbiosis, but almost.
Much more relaxed and open than before, he kept his calm in most situations. Even when they had some cockroach problems. Or rather one cockroach problem.
"It's still there." Eddie noted while drinking his coffee, observing the insect that was partially hidden behind the couch.
"Do you want me to call someone ?"
"Nah. He doesn't hurt anyone, that little guy. We don't leave food lying around, we throw out our trash. No point in staying here or calling his friends. He must be lost, he'll leave eventually."
"What if he thinks you're so cool that he tells the others to come over just so he can watch you sleep ?"
"Eww, babe, gross. Listen, if he's still here in a week, I'll take care of him. But it must be a neighbor with questionable hygiene who has a colony, he'll go back there."
The cockroach stayed, but like Eddie had said, he wasn't that much of a nuisance. Most of the time he was nowhere to be found, otherwise he stayed in his corner.
Strangely, he showed up when the couple was together, as if he was waiting to watch them. His presence was still abnormal, in addition to being possibly dirty, so Y/N decided to take matters into her own hands, trying to get him out.
"I know you're the most impossible thing to kill on this Earth." she said to the cockroach that was hiding under the closet. "And besides, Eddie decided he didn't want you to die, so let me put you in this jar, I'll take you to a landfill, and you'll be the happiest little cockroach, okay ?"
Of course, the insect wasn't ready to cooperate, putting itself as far away as possible, in an impossible place to reach. It was ridiculous, but Y/N had the impression that it understood perfectly what she was saying.
Eddie found her on the living room floor, her hand under the closet, trying for several hours to catch it.
"Need some help ?"
"Thanks, Eddie, it's between him and me now."
"Poor little thing that has no chance against someone stronger than them. Accept that he's winning."
"You're hilarious. He's staring at me without moving, he's making fun of me, it's personal. I'm pretty sure I saw him smile."
"You been upside down for a long time, babe ?" he asked as he sat down next to her, rubbing her back. "Come on, I'll take care of it, I'll get rid of the horrible monster."
"No, Eddie⊠PleaseâŠ"
It was probably the first time someone had dropped their shoe to cry and try to hug a cockroach, but Eddie being an extraordinary man, Y/N was only half surprised. Same thing when the insect started talking again, small tentacles coming out of it to wrap around her boyfriend. She had thought she had imagined that voice.
Losing its dark color, the creature was thrown out the window, while the tentacles remained around Eddie, before disappearing, as if absorbed by his heart. Then an alien head appeared near his shoulder.
"Wait⊠Is that Venom ?" she asked, a bit lost. "You told me he was dead."
"I thought so too ! Last time, he was just exhausted but still inside me, but this time⊠Vee, I thought I'd never see you again !"
"Eddie⊠I told you it wasn't goodbye. It took me a lot longer than I thought to find you. Cockroaches are tough, but their legs are tiny, not as fast as a horse. And then⊠I saw you with your new love. So I didn't know if you'd want me to come back."
"But of course IâŠ"
Remembering the discussion they had had, Eddie turned to Y/N, as if he was scared. Now that he knew the feelings he had for his symbiote, without ever realizing it when they were together, it was embarrassing to say that he wanted him back while he was in a relationship with her.
Maybe Venom had insisted for a long time that he get back with Anne, because it seemed to be the key to his host's happiness, but then there had been no one between them.
The alien didn't know Y/N. He had spent several days observing her, seeing if she was good enough for his Eddie, and after accepting that she was a suitable partner, he had wondered if he wasn't going to ruin everything by showing himself.
After all, Eddie had often said that it was his fault that he had lost everything. Venom didn't agree, he knew that most of his host's problems were the result of his bad decisions, but maybe he had turned his life upside down a bit, forcing him to give up certain things for him, like Vee had given up certain things to please him.
A relationship was certainly one of those things. With Anne, it might have been possible since she knew about the symbiote, but someone new ? That would have been hard to sell.
"You told her about me ?" Venom realized as he stared at Y/N. "Weren't you ashamed ? Didn't you repress your feelings because of the stupid social conventions that say men should be strong and insensitive ?"
"Of course I told her about you. I made a lot of resolutions after⊠After. I wanted to honor your memory, while being honest with Y/N."
"That's good, Eddie ! You're a little less of a loser !"
"Thanks, buddy, so nice."
Poor Eddie grimaced, probably accepting that this insult was a compliment, but Y/N quickly understood that there was a parallel, silent discussion going on between them in his head. She could easily guess that Venom was wondering if he would be able to stay, if she would leave because of him, or worse if his host would have to make a choice, which would make him unhappy.
Ensuring the happiness of his human was so important to him that the symbiote would have been ready to stay hidden under their couch, to be close to him without risking disturbing him. Who could hate such an adorable alien ?
"If we don't adopt chickens, and we buy lots of chocolate, I guess cohabitation won't be impossible." she smiled shyly, before they found the courage to ask her opinion.
"Babe ? Really ?"
"You really chose well, Eddie ! She might even be too good for you !"
"Thanks Vee, really super nice again. But babe, are you sure ? He can be⊠We are⊠You can say it if you find it weird."
"It's weird, but it doesn't bother me."
Almost every day, Eddie kissed her tenderly, in the morning, before leaving for work, when entering their apartment, when they went to sleep, but he had never been so passionate when he kissed her at that moment, repeating that he loved her.
As if he had been there forever, the alien had surrounded them with his tentacles in an attempt of a hug, commenting on the scene that he considered the most beautiful and romantic thing he had ever seen, even better than in his favorite telenovela with Maximiliano. He immediately ordered them to watch it when Y/N told him that she didn't know who he was talking about.
Not as invested, Eddie fell asleep on the sofa, keeping her in his arms and snoring lightly in her neck, while Venom explained the previous episodes to her with great excitement, as if everything was normal.

How many pocketknives can one man have
Barbie Dolls: Rosekiller x gn! Reader
Word: 1 billion (Iâm joeking itâs 940)
Summary: A little Drabble about your boyfriends almost killing a man for you <3
Warning: you get slutshamed, pocket knives, the mention of killing and uh beating the shit out of ppl i mean its rosekiller im sure youâve read much worse things about them donât play dumb
You didnât frequently like people, but today you hated them. You just wanted to finish your classwork. Then Don Abraham just had to chime in your personal relationships. He called you some filthy names all of which boiled down to youâre a slut. You wanted to rip his throat out and wave it in front of his family members' faces. Of course, you would never do that, you werenât crazy. Your boyfriends, however, that was a different story.Â
You shouldnât have mentioned it. You shouldnât have even thought of telling them. You shouldâve just redirected the conversation and pretended everything was perfect. Now you were stuck on their stupid couch in their stupid commonroom having to go over your stupid day. Evan was perched on the edge of the coffee table, holding onto your hands.Â
âSo who was it?â Barty asked, bouncing around behind Evan. Evan ran his thumbs over the back of your knuckles. Barty gritted his teeth and groaned, like a dog on a leash thrashing around to chase a squirrel. You shrugged.Â
âI donât know, some guy.â You answered. Barty shook his head in disappointment, growling again. He shook his fist at the sky.Â
âWhen I catch you, Some Guy-â Barty said through gritted teeth. Evan turned back, glaring at Barty.Â
âSit down,â Evan said, rolling his eyes at Barty. Barty crossed his arms and flung himself back onto the couch behind Evan. Evan looked back at you.Â
âWe just want to report them to the school. We canât do that without their name.â Evan said. You glared at him, knowing full well he had no intentions of reporting anything to the school. Evan shrugged, smacking his lips.Â
âWorth a shot. Please, lover. We just want to give him a good reason to stay out of your personal business. Please?â Evan asked, dipping his head down. He knew his puppy eyes melted every bit of your composure. Barty sat up from the couch, leaning towards you both.Â
âNo you guys are probably going to torture him or something. Heâll be missing his eyes by the next class.â You whined, pulling at Evanâs hands. Barty sat up straighter, flicking his pocket knife open.Â
âOnly a little!â He said like it was something reassuring. You tore your hand from Evanâs hold, pointing to Barty.Â
âSee!â You yelled a little too loud. Evan reached over and snatched Bartyâs pocketknife from him. Barty slumped, flopping back against the couch again. Evan shoved the closed knife into his pocket, keeping an eye on Barty.Â
âWhere did you get this, Barty?â Evan asked, watching Barty. Barty tipped one of his shoulders up.Â
âPocket. It is a pocketknife, Rosie. Kinda in the name.â Barty said, still pouty Evan took his knife. Evan shook his head at Barty.Â
âDonât sass me, Iâm armed now.â Evan turned back to you. He picked your hands up, returning his puppy eyes at you.Â
âPlease, Lover. Just the one name. Weâll go gentle on him too. No serious harm, just enough to get him sent to the hospital wing. Please? Iâll give you kisses?â Evan offered, leaning forward to kiss your cheek. You groaned, squirming away from him.Â
âFine, but-â Barty jumped up and moved to bolt for the door. Evanâs hand shot out and trapped Barty by the back of his shirt collar. Evan flung him back onto the couch, giving you a soft smile.Â
âPlease, continue,â Evan whispered, holding onto your hands again.Â
âBut I didnât tell you anything and youâre only going to rough him up a little. Not Barty and Evan roughing up either, like James Potter roughing up. A bruise here a bruise there, mostly mental scarring, you understand?â You raised your brows at Evan and Barty. Evan nodded quickly. Barty grumbled in agreeance. You accepted it.Â
âDon Abraham.â You said. Evan dropped your hands and stood from the coffee table. Barty stood up after him. Barty dipped down to kiss your cheek. He shoved his hand into his other pocket, pulling out another knife. Evan held the door open for Barty, waving at you as they both left.Â
They did not stick to the agreement at all. Don Abraham was stuck in the hospital wing for four days. Multiple broken limbs and a practically useless face. Barty and Evan pulverized him.Â
âWell, we had knives! We didnât use them! Thatâs a little roughing up, I think.â Barty defended over breakfast. You looked to Evan. Evan lifted his eyes from his plate, shrugging at you.Â
âIâm not going to lie to you and say that I tried to go easy on him. I wanted to kill him, but Barty stopped me. Truly that was me going easy.â Evan said, leaning to his side to smack a kiss on Bartyâs cheek. You shook your head in utter disappointment.Â
âNot at all James Potter roughing up. You know you two are lucky you arenât expelled.â You said, pointing your fork between them. Barty shrugged.Â
âWe scared him too bad to blab. Youâre stuck with us.â Barty said, reaching over to pinch your chin. Evan hummed.Â
âNo one saw either, weâre perfectly fine,â Evan added before shoving a piece of bacon into his mouth. You pressed your lips into a thin line.Â
âI have got to get a stronger backbone.â You muttered. Evanâs puppy dog eyes and now someone was on bed rest for the rest of the week. Barty patted your cheek sincerely.Â
âI can get you Don Abrahamâs.â You shook off Bartyâs hand.Â
âYou need to get your pocketknives confiscated.â You muttered. Barty gasped. He leaned away from the table, pressing his pocket knife to his heart.Â

The Family Portrait

Summary: Mouse demonstrates her artistic abilities. There's just... a slight issue...
If you would prefer to read this story on AO3, click here !
WC: 1k+
CW: reader is referred to as 'Mama' but not described, toddler dad Sukuna, girl dad!sukuna, true form Sukuna (4 arms), it's pretty much Dilf Sukuna fluff and crack, SFW in every way, just family fluff, Uraume has 2 cameos
Sukuna, you, and Uraume stood side by side, staring in disbelief. You berated yourself for not questioning the silence sooner. Sukuna wondered how the hell Mouse did something of this magnitude so quickly and quietly. Uraume sighed and excused themselves to go get rags and a bucket of water.
Mouse stood frozen and stared back at the two of you for about⊠15 heart beats, just long enough to sense she was in trouble, before she made an attempt at a mad dash past Sukuna. Papa wasnât called the King of Curses for no reason. With his incredible speed he reached down and snatched her up by the back of her outfit before she could get within 3 feet of where you both stood. He brought her up to his face, dangling as he gripped her outfit.
âAnd where do you think you are going, Mouse?â
She reached out her hands to cup his cheeks. âDown, please and thank you, Papa!âÂ
âNot happening, brat.â
âMouse,â you said, trying to get her attention. You glared at Sukuna as he turned his hand so your, still dangling in mid air, daughter was now facing you instead of him. He gave you a cheeky grin from behind her. He knew, without any shadow of a doubt, that the glare had been because he had almost made you laugh when you needed to be stern.
âHi Mama. Hold me, please and thank you, Mama?â she asked, stretching out her arms towards you.Â
You took her from his grasp and put her down on the floor ignoring her whine and pout. You knelt down to be more on her level. âMouse, please explain to me why you have written all over the wall with your fatherâs calligraphy ink.â
Sukuna crossed both sets of arms as he stood and waited for her answer. You knew he was annoyed, both by the mess she had made and by her using, what appeared to be, every single drop of ink he had owned.
âI no write on wall,â she looked at you confused.
âThen what do you call that?â you asked, pointing behind her.
She grinned at you and then at Sukuna. âI painted a picture for you!â
âThatâs⊠a⊠painting,â Sukuna said slowly, squinting all 4 of his eyes at the jagged lines, swirls, dots and scribbles. âIâm not seeing it.â
âI show you?â Mouse asked, looking between you and Sukuna.
âWhat the hell,â Sukuna sighed and gestured her forward.
âMama, stand up, please and thank you.â
You did as told, trying hard not to be upset about your ruined wall. It got a little easier when she turned around, grabbed a finger on each of your hands and headed forward, pulling you both along behind her.Â
Once you got to the wall she walked over to the right side of the wall. âI start here, Mama, Papa.â
âAlright, Mouse. You have our attention,â you said, standing next to Sukuna who had recrossed his arms and stared with his usual grumpy look of disinterest but you noticed his eyes were all fixed on where his daughter was pointing.
âThis is a puppy. This is a kitty. This is a fishie. This is a birdie. Thatâs a bug. Thatâs a tree⊠and another treeâŠ,â she continued, pointing at various scribbles as she walked.
âWhatâs that?â Sukuna pointed, skipping ahead to the biggest part of the design. A largeâŠsomething. It was a shape resembling a rectangle with lines coming out from either side and underneath.
âThatâs you, Papa!â she said with the proudest smile on her face.Â
She then pointed to a smaller version with less lines on the sides but a good number of long lines coming down from the top. âThatâs you, Mama!â
Sukuna grinned, kneeling down and putting a hand on her back. He put another hand on the back of her head and kissed her forehead. âYou captured our likeness well, I suppose.â
âItâs a beautiful drawing, little one, but from now on letâs do it on paper only, okay?â you asked, brushing fingers through her hair with a smile on your own face.Â
âOkay, Mama. I promise,â she nodded happily. You could only hope and pray she remembered this conversation next time.
âAnd you need to ask first.â
âOkay, Mama, I promise.â
âWhatâs this one?â Sukuna asked as he pointed to another part of the picture. How she had managed to make a scribbled shape look annoyed was beyond him, but that was the only damn way he could describe what he was looking at. An annoyed blob. Mouse gave him a toothy grin. âThat's Urau-rau!â
You choked on air at her response. âYou know what, I can see it.â Sukuna tilted his head to the side with a shit eating grin on his face. He glanced up at you, all four eyes twinkling with mischief. Oh noâŠ
He quickly scooped Mouse up in one of his arms, making her laugh loudly with her head thrown back while she held onto his clothing with tight, tiny fists as he stood. He glanced to the doorway Uraume was returning through with the cleaning supplies. You knew your husband well enough to know that you were about to want to throttle him.Â
âUraume, I have changed my mind. Leave it as it is,â he said as he began walking out of the room with Mouse in his arms. âCome, Mouse. Let's go find a snack.â
âSnacks! Snack! Snacks! Please and thank you, Papa!â Mouse said in a happy almost sing-song voice, looking up at him like he hung the moon.
âMay I ask why, Master Sukuna?â they asked, eyes trained down trying not to let any irritation show.
âItâs a family portrait,â Sukuna answered, amusement in his tone.
âI painted you too, Urau-rau!!â Mouse called over his shoulder waving as they disappeared down the hallway, the sounds of them discussing what to snack on fading as they moved away.
Uraume looked at you and shook their head. âI am glad there is only one of those things.â
You chuckled and gave them a pat on the back before you began to follow after the other two. With your hand on the doorframe you paused and looked back, making direct eye contact with them. You winked and said one last thing before fully exiting the room âOnly oneâŠFor now.âÂ

A TOUCH OF HOPE MASTERLISTÂ |Â Chapter Ten
LOGAN HOWLETT - ONE OF US
The youngest students fell in love with their new English teacher. They wanted her attention all day, every day, which didnât sit well with Logan. He couldnât steal a quick chat with her in the hallway between classes, or a secret kiss while no one was watching. Before he had a chance, a kid or two would take Y/Nâs hand, taking her away from Logan. In a blink of an eye, sheâd be gone.
Y/N wasnât blind. She saw how his nostrils flared when a student got her away from him. She sensed the disappointment when he couldnât get his hands on her. Also, they wanted to be careful about their relationship - or whatever this was. Maybe people already knew about them. Suspicions were raised long before they became a thing.
âLetâs keep this between us for now,â Y/N suggested after their first passionate night together.Â
They were lying on the bed in her room, limbs tangled. Her fingers were drawing patterns on his naked chest as she was listening to his beating heart. Loganâs body was warm. All she wanted to do was inhale his scent all day and night. Hell, all she wanted was to lick his abs, but that was just her secret fantasy.
âWhy is that?â
âI donât want to jinx it,â she whispered. âSomething good is happening and I fear I will lose it. I hope you understand.âÂ
Logan pressed a kiss to the top of her head, humming. To her surprise, he agreed. âWe donât owe anyone any explanation,â he said. âBut I agree. We should keep this between us for now. To see how things will go.âÂ
âI think Storm knows,â Y/N said with a smile. âShe was teasing me about it for some time.âÂ
Logan chuckled. âYeah, same with Rogue. She was getting on my nerves. Always teasinâ and shit.âÂ
Y/N laughed. âYeah, she always gave me the damn eyes - that look to nudge me to do something.âÂ
After another school day, the students spend their time outside in the sun. Even though it was autumn, that day was surprisingly warm and sunny. No one would have known Halloween was only a few days away.Â
Logan was standing at the basketball court, talking to Remy. His arms crossed over his chest while his eyes stared into the distance. Of course, he was looking at Y/N who hung out with some of the youngest students. She had her body hanging from a tree, upside down, while another child did the same. They laughed and talked and the kids around seemed happy. Damn, she was good with them.Â
She was fearless, caring and filled with something he couldnât describe. He swore he would never let anyone close to him again, and here she was, getting to his heart without even trying. Was it meant to be? Where the fuck was his brain going with this? Since when did he start to believe in this shit?Â
âAre you even listening, mon ami?â he heard Remyâs annoyed voice. Before the man could reply, Remy noticed. âAh, the new girl,â he laughed. âShe seems nice. Donât you think?âÂ
Logan squinted. Y/N was no longer the ânew girlâ. âWhatâs your point?âÂ
âItâs justâŠâ he thought about his next words. He voiced them carefully. âWhat if Scott is right about her?âÂ
Logan was only a second away from punching him in the face. âWhat the fuck do you mean, Gambit?âÂ
âI donât know,â he shrugged. âShe could be a danger to us and the kids. I just thought about what Scott said about her, you know? I know she saved the school. But Scott is the second hand in command,â he said. âI trust his instincts.âÂ
Loganâs fist clenched tighter. âJust because you trust his fucking instincts, you think heâs right? Get a life, Remy,â he spat at him and stomped away.Â
âCome on man, Iâm sorry,â Remy called after Logan and ran to him. âI only said it to see your reaction,â he laughed. âI see how you eye the girl. I knew these words would piss you off. You must really like her.âÂ
âShut up,â he growled.Â
âItâs very romantic, mon ami,â Remy continued. âYou saved her, brought her here. Then you trained her and voilĂĄ, feelings were developed.â But he didnât stop there. âIâve noticed you changed your wild hairstyle, Logan. Your hair is more fluffy. You look like Prince Charming.âÂ
That was it for the Wolverine. He reached for Remyâs shoulder and brought him down on the hard ground. Everyoneâs attention was on them. âKeep your damn mouth shut, Gambit,â Logan growled. âI have no idea whatcha talking about, but you as hell are getting on my nerves.â
âSo, itâs true,â he laughed. âDonât worry, your secret is safe with me.âÂ
A hand grabbed Loganâs shoulder and pushed him back. âHey, woah big guy,â said Y/N. âWhatâs going on? Why so violent all of a sudden?âÂ
âHeâs constantly getting on my nerves,â he huffed and stepped away from Remy.Â
Y/N gave Remy a hand and helped him up on his feet. âThank you, chĂ©re,â he smiled at her.Â
A loud whistle echoed around the basketball court. Everyone turned their heads to the sound, noticing Rogue and Storm standing at the entrance door. âNow that we have your attention,â Rogue laughed. âThe Professor wants to talk,â she continued. âHe wants us to meet at the Danger room, now.â Her finger pointed at Logan, Remy and Y/N.
âBehave,â Y/N turned to the students, threatening them with a finger.
Logan shook his head. âYou already have them wrapped around your finger, eh?âÂ
Remy had to laugh. The more he watched Logan talk to Y/N, the more he found it amusing.Â
When they approached the two women, Rogue threatened Logan with a finger. âTouch my man one more time, and I will punch you in your face. I know you can heal in a matter of seconds, but you know damn well how painful my fist can be.â
Y/N bit her lower lip not to laugh at them. When she approached Storm, she wrapped an arm around her shoulders. Together they walked to the Danger room.Â
. . .
âThis is the stupidest idea ever.âÂ
Everyone was in the Danger room, ready to watch how powerful Y/Nâs force field was. Charles suggested using Scottâs laser eyes to see if her power would withstand it. It was met with scepticism and criticism from both Y/N and Scott. Logan wasnât fond of the idea but kept his mouth shut. He was worried Scott would hurt Y/N intentionally.Â
Neither of them wanted to do it. They kept bickering, trying to convince Charles to let go. Unfortunately for them, he insisted. Now, both of them were standing on the other side of the room, ready to give the rest of the people a show.Â
âI couldnât agree more,â said Y/N. âFinally, we agree on something,â she grinned. âI was able to absorb a missile like two minutes ago,â Y/N argued. âI donât see a point in doing this.â
Scott was standing with hands in his pockets, barely moving. âAre you afraid?â he smiled at her. He was mocking her.
âAre you?â she replied with a smirk.
They moved through the danger room, each taking a place on the other side. They were far enough from the spectators and there was a giant gap between them.
Her eyes shifted to the people standing at the entrance. Logan had his hands crossed over his chest, eyes fixed on her. Storm and Jean were leaning against the nearest wall, watching the upcoming show. Charles was in the wheelchair by Loganâs side. Remy held Rogueâs waist, head resting on her shoulder. The rest of the team had to attend classes and teach.
Y/N took a deep breath, closed her eyes and wrapped herself in a force field. She didnât need her hands to do it. She could do it with her mind. Since she came to the school, she learnt more about it, how to control it and over time, it strengthened. When Y/N opened her eyes, they were all staring at her. It seemed everyone was impressed. Logan had a tiny smile on his lips. Was he proud? She hoped so.
âI thought she needed to use her hands. When did that happen?â Storm asked Logan and Charles.Â
âDuring the attack,â Logan replied. âShe was able to create multiple of them under pressure and stress. Thatâs when she made one using her mind. She had us both under them. And I was nowhere near her.âÂ
âFascinating,â Charles said with a smile. âTense and stressful situations can help speed up developing the power. Sheâs a fast learner.âÂ
âWhat did I miss?â Peter appeared next to them out of nowhere, eyes fixated on Y/N. âDamn, that thing is cool.â
âDonât you have a class to teach?â Storm asked.Â
Peter made a face. âPlease, I wouldnât miss this for the world. But no, I donât. Have I seen her make it? Maybe I did. I donât know.âÂ
âYour mouthâs running miles, Speedy. Shut up,â Logan glared at him.
Y/N concentrated. She cleared her mind, trying to think about nothing but the task. Her eyes glared at Scott, watching as he set the device on his eyes and blasted a laser at her. When it hit the forcefield, the laser got absorbed into it. She felt energy pulses running through her body. It wasnât pleasant. Y/N struggled to keep it up. She had to admit that Scott had a powerful mutation.Â
âGod fucking dammit,â she cursed and lifted her hands in the air, trying to hold the shield up. She could feel her energy draining fast. A growl escaped her throat. A bomb would already be done. Scottâs lasers kept on going with the same intensity. She cursed a few more times.Â
Y/N wouldnât give up. She pushed through.
Scott stopped. The laser was gone. He didnât lose his composure. A grin appeared on his face. âImpressive,â he commented. âAlthough, I didnât go full power on you. You are not strong enough.âÂ
Y/Nâs arms fell next to her body. The force field disappeared as she fell on her knees, breathing heavily. âGo fuck yourself,â she cursed. There was a big difference between the laser and the explosion. Their energy was incomparable. âShit,â she mumbled, her head spinning. Slowly, she lay down on the ground, trying to ground herself.Â
The sounds that echoed around her, from the people who were present, became muffled. Her eyes were locked on the ceiling which seemed to be kilometres away.
âAlready napping, princess?â she heard Loganâs voice.Â
Y/N raised her middle finger in the air. It was meant for Logan. âIt was a stupid idea,â she huffed. âThanks, Scott. It was fun,â she yelled.Â
âAny time,â Scott laughed. The man moved to the group. âIs her forcefield strong? Yes. But, like I said, sheâs weak. She was able to hold it for less than a minute. Thatâs not enough. She needs to train more, challenge herself.â
âSheâs not weak,â said Logan. âYou should have seen what happened when the school was under attack. You wouldnât believe your cyclop eye.âÂ
Y/Nâs eyes remained fixed on the ceiling, not listening to the conversation at the entrance. Her heart was beating fast. The energy flowing inside her was strong, pulsing. She needed to calm down. Her hands rested on top of her raising chest. Thinking back, a few months ago, she wouldnât be able to do any of this. Now, sheâs a different person - a different mutant. Who knows what would have happened to her if sheâd remained in the facility? What if she never tried to escape? What ifâŠ
âHey.â Her eyes moved to the side, finding Logan standing above her. âYou okay?â He asked.Â
âIâm just trying to catch my breath,â she grimaced. âMy whole body is vibrating.â
Logan laughed. âCome on, get your ass up, princess,â he reached a hand to her. She grabbed it and he lifted her on her feet. âAre you sure you are okay? You donât seem like it.âÂ
Y/N looked at the group of people in front of her. âWhen did Charles get the ability to multiply? I see two of them⊠and Storm⊠and everyone.âÂ
âJesus Christ, woman,â Logan huffed. âDonât say you are fine when you are not.â He set his arm for her to grab on. He walked her to the rest of the people.Â
Rogue chuckled. âAdorable,â she commented. âYou really are a knight in shining armour.â She received one deadly glare from him.Â
âYou okay?â Jean was concerned.Â
âYeah, I just need a longer minute,â said Y/N.
âThere is something we have for you, Y/N,â said Charles. âCome to the lab, please.â He wheeled out from the Danger room as the rest followed him.Â
Rogue was able to steal Y/N from Logan again, giving him a big innocent smile as she did so. âCome on, sugar, we have something special for you.â
âHey, donât spoil it,â Storm glared at her.
âOh, no,â Y/N sighed. âIâm not fond of surprises,â she whispered.Â
âYouâre gonna love this one,â Rogue sang excitedly.Â
The group went inside the lab, everyone taking their place. Hank went to a metal-like wardrobe. With a click of a button, he opened it and reached for something that looked like a piece of clothing. He had a smile on his face.Â
âLetâs make this simple,â Charles turned in his wheelchair, facing Y/N. ïżœïżœïżœYouâve made a fantastic profess with your ability. Itâs fascinating to watch your journey with us. The kids have bonded well with you, accepting you as their new teacher. You saved the school and the students, for which I am grateful. I think itâs only fair to ask you if youâd like to become an official member of the X-men.âÂ
Her mouth opened wide, not believing this was happening. Was this actually happening? âA-are you serious?âÂ
âYes!â Jean nodded. âYouâd be an excellent addition to the team. You already are.âÂ
Y/Nâs eyes checked each and every member. They were all staring at her, waiting for her to say something. And Logan had a smirk on his face, eyes digging into hers. He wanted to know her answer.Â
She smiled at them. âHoly shit, itâs like a proposal,â she laughed. âYes, of course.â
Hank was the first to approach her as Rogue clapped her hands. He handed her a custom-made black uniform. He patted her shoulder. It felt unreal.Â
A few months ago, she was beaten and bruised, not capable of using her power. Logan found her which was a miracle moment. Now, they wanted her to become a member of the X-men. They trusted her, except Scott. Fuck him.
âWonderful,â Charles nodded. âIâm glad your answer was positive. I would like to talk to you more about this tomorrow morning. Since the formalities are done, everyone should return to their classes.â
It felt surreal. Was she finally fitting somewhere? A tiny smile played on her lips as Y/N kept scanning the new suit with her eyes, noticing every detail. The yellow stripes were a perfect combination to the all-black leather outfit.Â
One by one, they left the lab, leaving Y/N standing there with her thoughts. They understood sheâd want to process this alone for a moment. Logan noticed she didnât move, eyes glued to the piece of clothing. His head turned to the rest of the team to see if they were paying attention while walking to the elevator. Quickly, he walked back to Y/N.Â
He approached her slowly and put both hands on her shoulders. âYou okay?âÂ
Her eyes lifted, all glassy and sparkling. âYeah, Iâm fine,â she quickly nodded, smiling. âIâm more than fine. Iâm thrilled.â
âGood,â he smiled at her.Â
She eyed him carefully. âYou have a very handsome smile, have I told you that?âÂ
He raised one eyebrow. âUh, thatâs a first.â He leaned closer to her. When she raised her head, his lips pressed onto hers in a simple kiss. âYou flatter me, princess.â
âSomeone has to. I canât make fun of you, tease you all the damn time.âÂ
Logan turned his head to the door, then back at her. âYa know what, darlinâ? Letâs go out tonight. Just the two of us.âÂ
Y/Nâs eyes sparkled. âOh? You wanna take me on a date?âÂ
He hummed. âImma take you somewhere where we can be alone for more than five fucking minutes. Iâm so fucking angry that those damn kids steal you away from me whenever I try to reach out for you.âÂ
She laughed at that. âI knew you were not fond of that. Logan, they are just kids. So, letâs go out, just the two of us. Letâs hope no one will want to tag with us.â
âYou want me all to yourself, eh?âÂ
Y/N kissed him again. âFuck yes,â she said. âLiving here has been amazing. I adore everyone. But, I want to have some alone time with you. When we are alone, what do we do?â
âFuck,â he said.
âExactly. We fuck, we talk for five minutes and we fall asleep,â she snorted.Â
Logan pressed another kiss to her lips - loving, gentle. âIâll wait for you in the garage at eight. Oh, and, wear something warm. Itâs gonna get cold.âÂ
She gasped. âAre you taking me on your bike?âÂ
âOnly if you promise me not to fucking fall off it like the first time I took you on it,â he laughed.Â
âHey! I was wounded, barely conscious. Hell, I went unconscious. Plus, I didnât even know you. Not my fault,â she frowned at his teasing. She clutched the suit in her hand while the other punched his shoulder.Â
Logan laughed at that attempt. âOkay, okay, I get your point, darlinâ. Iâm just messinâ with ya.â
âI know,â she smiled.Â
Another kiss happened. âEight oâclock. Just the two of us.â
âJust the two of us.âÂ

HOW TO TELL A STORY (Peter Rubie)
Once upon a time, something happened to someone,
and he decided that he would pursue a goal.
So he devised a plan of action,
and even though there were forces trying to stop him,
he moved forward because there was a lot at stake.
And just as things seemed as bad as they could get,
he learned an important lesson,
and when offered the prize he had sought so strenuously,
he had to decide whether or not to take it,
and in making that decision he satisfied a need
that had been created by something in his past.

Drive - increasingly desperate (and possibly immoral) series of actions the hero takes to defeat the opponent and reach the goal
Attack by ally - an ally confronts the hero about their increasing desperation and immorality
Apparent defeat - lowest point when the hero believes theyâve lost; for fall arcs, this may be an âApparent victoryâ instead
Second revelation & decision: obsessive drive, changed desire and motive - the hero receives a new piece of information that allows them to continue towards their goal
Audience revelation - the audience learns a vital piece of information thatâs kept from the hero
Third revelation and decision - the hero learns something about the opponent that will help them win

NOTES
Choose a plot structure that works best for you.
Deviate from it as needed. It is a guide after all.
Some writers and editors advice you stick with a plot structure you have chosen:
Donât look for an alternative as soon as you start to become frustrated with your first choice. Youâll only end up wasting time.
As with everything else, there is no single perfect choice.
And it may be the case that different projects need different methods.
Keep experimenting. Keep writing. Keep improving.

Time forgets most (DPxDC)
I've been getting too many brain worms that I need to clear out the cramp space that is my idea vault. In doing so, I'm just posting off-handed, random things I've typed up at work. (Partly so my drafts don't just end up like my vault). Without further ado, a much too too long post
°âąÂ°âąÂ°âąÂ°
The movement of time is a much too complex thing for many to understand. The knowledge that time was not perfectly linear. The past did not simply stay in the past. The future is not simply something to look forward to. The present is not simply a fleeting moment.
Time is a complex web. Every point in time, connected to another point in time. A never-ending mess of webs and connections. Things that are to be. Things that can be. Things that are being. Things that will never see the light of day in this universe.
Despite what some may want to believe, Time has no master. Time does not yield to any singular being. That did not mean that Time didn't need a helping hand. A guiding hand to help keep the chaos of time to something just a little more... fluid.
The being came to exist well before the universe had. The being was festered, taught, and nurtured in a small pocket dimension. A small space just like an incubator.
Until the world blossomed around it. Life started to grow. Time kept moving. Living organisms found untimely deaths. Evolved, learned, and grew into the new space around it.
When the first little creature crawled out of the water, Time's keeper was let free. A bumbling little thing, breaming with life and curiosity.
Just like everything else in the world, this keeper wasn't safe from time. It still moved. Brought forth problems and adventures.
As time continued to tick. Moving in every direction, the keeper continued to age. Unlike the rest of the universe, the keeper didn't age the same as others.
Some days, he was nothing but a small boy, frolicking in a field of flowers and bees. Other days, he was a strong middle-aged man. Pulling the strings in just the right way, pushing for a timeline that felt right.
On days that have been happening much more often. He was but a crippled old man, hunched over his staff, and dropping much needed wisdom on the young lives around him.
Being the keeper of time wasn't an easy feat. Being completely out of time, experiencing things in broken order. There was only a clear start, and a jumble of things that followed.
The keeper was content with his life. Watching over the world as it grew and blossomed. He was content with his special kind of solitude.
That was until he saw the boy. In the webs of moments, the keeper's gaze had found him. A boy much too young, suddenly with powers much too great thrusted upon him.
The keeper watched the scenes play out. The tears, laughter, humiliation, triumph, and pain. He watched as the boy's family was ripped from him. Watched the twisted attempt at fixing his life, only for it to go horribly wrong.
He watched the bloodshed and chaos that erupted. The lives ripped apart and destroyed. Not a single sign of life left behind.
Then he watched as the boy, no, not a boy anymore. The keeper watched as the monster tore through the fabric of time. Ripped its way through the thin veils that divided the universes.
Universes that had never known the boy's existence were torn to shreds to. A flight driven with pain and anger.
Despite the keeper having seen the boy turn into such a monster. He could see it in the beast's eyes. The deep-seated need for a family, a life. To be loved.
Something about the boy's life, his story, spoke to the keeper. He found himself reaching out into the web of lives and moments. Finding the moment when things went the most wrong for the boy.
Just like that, the keeper had inserted himself into a life. He pulled the boy out of the cruel stream of time. Filled the boy with the knowledge he needed. Let the boy see just what could happen if he let it.
The keeper of time was soon a simple mentor. A simple deity looking out for the world. Taking on the mantel of Clockwork and finding a new purpose for his life.
A young boy's life has been flipped upside down two times now. And there were certainly more to come. This time, the boy wasn't alone. He had a guiding hand, and a communtiy behind him.
The keeper, no, Clockwork watched with a strange pride and happiness he hadn't felt in a long time. The boy was quickly surrounded by a family that helped him navigate his new powers.
Clockwork, alongside many of the other ghostly beings, watched on with pride as the young boy grew into a strong young man. Mastering powers, taking a stand, and making their home safe.
Despite the best efforts, time always beings problems.
It was one thing for Clockwork. He was the keeper of time. His life has reason to exist as long as time exists. Which will always be. His purpose was infinite.
But this boy... Danny wasn't like Clockwork. He was still partially human and terrified of losing his humanity. Danny's story had to come to an end, it's how time works.
Except, Danny wasn't in the timeline anymore. Clockwork had ensured that, pulled Danny into a separate timeline. An unaccounted for timeline.
He couldn't live here forever, not the way that Clockwork could. Danny needs a life, a family, a place, a purpose. He was still human.
It took more effort than Clockwork would have liked. He had to cash in favors from other deities that he hadn't spoken to in centuries.
It took a combined effort of everyone who cared for the little halfa. The strange boy that teeter on the line between life and death. The boy who had freed the Zone from a tyrant. Who wanted nothing more than for everyone to live a happy and filled life/afterlife.
Getting the magic and spells right was the hard part. But finding the location was easy. A beautiful planet just on the edge of the Milky Way. Unlikely to be disturbed or hurt.
The planet was undiscovered, primative even. Far enough from humans that Clockwork was certain Danny wouldn't be bothered. Only one species lived on that planet. Along the jungle like fauna, and in the water.
Cute little guys, barely bigger than two feet long and one foot tall. There was no name, no knowledge about them. Aside from Clockwork analyzing their way of life.
A simple cycle. They were born, they aged, they played, fed, mated, and then died. A simple but content life.
The aliens weren't unsettling. At least not to anyone who has seen more creatures than what Earth has to offer. It is a strange combination between frog, fish, and squid.
Scurrying around on two legs and four tentacles. A small frog-like face with eyes that seemed to take up half that space. Colors vary from blues to greens to the same sandy brown found at the bottom of the lakes.
Before long, the planet had its own protector. A young boy who once was lost and alone seemed to meld perfectly with these aliens.
Clockwork was always sure of himself. He never let anyone see otherwise. Except, Clockwork hadn't been sure. Not when he had performed the ritual.
As he molded and changed Danny's DNA until the man was a new being entirely. To anyone who didn't know the full story, the boy could easily look related to the aliens.
Gills now painted the sides of his neck, not necessary, but Clockwork felt like it had been. Webbed hands and feet to make transversing the underwater caves even easier. An ethereal, almost siren-like touch to Danny.
It worked out perfectly. Danny settled in easily. Building a routine and bound with the aliens. It hadn't been hard for the little creature to take a liking to him.
Before long, it was routine. Danny would spend most of his time on the planet, watching over his new wards. On some days, he'd portal back to the zone. Spend time with the ghosts and deities that saved his life. To check in on the new govermental system that had been put in place.
It was perfect. Simple and nice. Everyone got complacent. The longer time went on without a hiccup or a problem. The longer Danny was able to rest in his odd solitude. The more people got comfortable.
The more they forgot that time was as cruel as it was forgiving.
It had been just another day cycle. Danny was playing with the most recent litter birth. The first time he had seen the birth, he was more disgusted than anything else.
After the third time, Danny had started getting excited. He looked forward to it. Loved seeing the aliens flourish and grow. Watching them thrive and find more fun in the things Danny creates. Every new fun game or obstacle was always made with the things natural to the planet. Or debris that was caught in its gravitational pull.
Danny was playing with Plop. The little guy got his name, and he always plopped out of the water. Unlike the other aliens, this one didn't crawl out. No, he'd pull himself out of the water with his tentacles, only to plop down on the ground.
Of course, Plop had also been the first alien to approach Danny when he arrived. It's how they formed such a strong bond.
Everything had seemed perfectly fine. The day was rolling along just like it always did. That was until a small group of the more elder aliens suddenly came scurrying into their main cave.
They hadn't waited a second before diving into the water. Danny watched, confused and concerned, as each one of them grabbed one of the young. Before shooting straight into the underwater cave system.
The once bustling and living cave was suddenly eerily quiet and void of any aliens. Leaving behind only the confused Danny in the pool.
At least that's what a certain Green Lantern saw when he followed the trail of retreating aliens.
This planet had been categorized to have no signs of intelligent life. It seemed to have the option to nurture life, but there had been no signs.
When Hal Jordan got word of a seeming spike of activity from the supposedly empty planet, he had added it to his rooster.
A quick peek, just a look into what kind of life might be starting to grow there. The little aliens he had seen were adorable, sure. But they didn't seem all that evolved. Still in their evolutionary journey.
That was until Hal saw him.
Now, Hal was no stranger to running into ethereal beauty. It's what happens when someone interacts with aliens on a basic daily. That was something he was used to.
Except, all his breath seemed to be knocked out of him completely. The cave alone was stunning, a stark contrast from the almost barren surface he had first seen.
A deep, shimmering blue pool that vanished into the rocky space around it. Trees, bushes, and flowers decorate the area. It looked almost too good to be true. Like an oasis in the middle of a desert.
Then there was the being that caught all of Hal's attention. Bright blue eyes that looked like gems, pale blue-tinged skin. Long black and white hair seemed to look almost like the night sky. A deep abyss littered with stars.
The closest thing that Hal's brain supplied was a siren. A beautiful, ethereal creature that lured men to their deaths. As beautiful as it seemed, Hal knew there could easily be danger.
Except, the creature didn't attack or threaten him.
Instead, he seemed almost shy. Mouth opening and closing like a fish out of water, sharp deadly teeth flashing in the light with each motion.
Hal had just opened his mouth, taken a hesitant step forward. He wanted to know, and he needed to know how this happened. There wasn't supposed to be an intelligent, sophisticated life on this planet.
The moment Hal's lips parted, the creature let out a trill. A sound that seemed more scared than aggressive. Before suddenly, the beautiful creature vanished into the pool.
Hal moved before he could think, rushing to the edge of the pool. He peered into the crystal clear water, just in time to take the webbed feet of the creature vanish into a tunnel.
Now that left Hal with two options. He could either report this and wait for backup...
Or...
Or...
He could jump inside. The ring would protect him, and his lungs would be fine. Perks of being a Green Lantern.
That option seemed much more tempting to Hal. Nothing about this scream an outright threat. He felt more like a strange imposing on someone's home. A home that was meant for safety and protection of the young.
Yet, the shimmering water seemed to be calling to Hal. Something in him was trying to push him to get inside. To find the beautiful creature and learn more. Learn how this happened.
Without realizing it, Hal Jordan sealed his fate the moment he dipped a finger into the cool pool. Rippling the steady surface just slightly.
Just enough to get him wrapped up in the strange web created by time and its keeper.

LAZARUS SERUM || Steve Rogers x Enhanced!FReader
Part III
Part One | Part Two | Final Words: 11.1K Themes: Angst, Drama, Violence, Action (Fighting Scenes: Steve vs Bucky), Hatred, Lovers to Enemies, Enemies to Lovers. Warning: Emotionally heavy? Death. Sneak Peak: Buckyâs eyes flicked to yours, and for a moment, he saw the vulnerability that you so rarely showed. âStarkâs a paranoid bastard, but heâs not wrong about everything,â he replied. âHYDRA always had a backup plan.â
You nodded, biting your lip as you turned back to the window. âIâve got people waiting for us at my fatherâs old place. People who want to rebel. But if Starkâs right⊠if thereâs something inside me that they can still controlâŠâ
A/N: This was difficult to write man, I feel like i keep repeating myself. Anyways this short story is almost done, I'm thinking to make one for bucky in this same timeline, but i dunno.

SHIELD agents moved about the Helicarrier, carrying out their usual duties. The tension from your recent capture still lingered in the air, but for the moment, everything seemed normal.
Inside one of the briefing rooms, the Avengers gathered around a large, circular table. The holographic display in the center flickered to life. Steve stood at the far end, his expression remaining grim. He had been silent since his conversation with you, apart from when he told Fury about the new information about you.
Nick Fury stood at the head of the table, his one good eye sweeping over the assembled team. He cleared his throat, drawing everyoneâs attention as the screen behind him shifted to show a detailed molecular structureâone that looked alien yet familiar.
âThis,â Fury began, pointing to the hologram, âis the Lazarus Serum. It was an experimental project conducted by a rogue HYDRA scientist during World War II. What makes this serum different from the Super Soldier Serum is that itâs derived from an unknown foreign DNA, not of earth.â
The room fell into a stunned silence. Tonyâs brow furrowed in thought, while Natasha leaned forward, her eyes narrowing at the image on the screen.
âSo an Alien DNA?â Natasha echoed, disbelief evident in her voice. âHow did HYDRA even get their hands on something like that?â
Furyâs expression darkened. âDuring the war, HYDRA had their hands in more than just earthly affairs. There were rumors that they made contact with otherworldly entities, collecting samples and conducting experiments. Most of these were failures or too dangerous to continue, but the Lazarus Serum was different. It worked, but with a catch. It enhanced the subjectâs strength, speed, and durabilityâjust like the Super Soldier Serumâbut the side effects were severe: mental instability, increased aggression. . .making them unhinged.â
âAnd Y/N?â Steveâs voice was low, but it carried a weight that made everyone turn toward him.
âSheâs the only known survivor of the Lazarus project,â Fury confirmed. âAnd because the serum is derived from Alien DNA, its effects are permanent. Y/N is more than just enhancedâsheâs on a whole other level. The serum doesnât just slow aging; it effectively makes her immune to most forms of injury. Weâve seen that she can take bullets without flinching, and thatâs just the tip of the iceberg.â
Fury opened up a highly confidential video file named, âLazarus Serumâ and instantly piqued the team's curiosity.
As the holographic footage played, the room fell into a tense silence. The screen displayed a black-and-white, grainy video of a sterile HYDRA laboratory, dimly lit and cold, with the camera focusing on you, strapped to a metal table. The tension among the Avengers was palpable as they watched, the atmosphere heavy with the gravity of what they were about to witness.
You lay on the table, your body weak and trembling. The serum coursing through your veins was taking its final toll, pushing you to the brink of death. Your skin was pale, your breaths shallow, and your heartbeat was erratic, the monitors showing your vitals dipping dangerously low.
Furyâs voice cut through the footage, steady but grim. âThis is what our talented hackers are able to salvage, the final recorded moment of the Lazarus Serum experiment. Day 100.â
On the screen, the lead scientist stood over you, his expression hard as he observed the monitors. Despite the clear signs that you were dying, he was refusing to back down. The technician beside him looked increasingly anxious, glancing between the monitors and your convulsing body.
"Her vitals are deteriorating rapidly," the technician warned, his voice shaking. "She's not stabilizing. We should stop."
The scientistâs jaw tightened, his eyes narrowing with determination. "Weâre too close. Increase the dosage."
"But sir, she won't surviveâ"
"Do it!" he barked, silencing any further protest.
The technician hesitated but ultimately complied, injecting you with another dose of the glowing serum. The screen showed your body convulsing violently on the table, the restraints biting into your skin as your body tried to fight the unbearable pain. The lines on the monitors went haywire, your heart rate spiking uncontrollably before it suddenly flatlined.
Steve couldnât bear to watch any longer. The sight of you, broken and tortured. His heart clenched with a pain so intense it might as well be a heart attack. It was clear that every second of this footage was torture for him, he tried to keep watching but turned his head away, unable to watch life being drained from you. His fists clenched at his sides, his knuckles white as he fought back the tears threatening to spill over. He couldnât bring himself to see the moment you died, the moment HYDRA took everything from you.
Fury paused the footage briefly, his gaze sweeping over the team. âAt this point, HYDRA pronounced her dead. The lead scientist, as you can hear, said to âDispose of the body.â They believed the experiment was a failure, and that Y/N had died.â
The footage resumed, showing the scientistâs callous order to dispose of your body. The camera caught the technicianâs expressionâa mix of shock and fearâas he moved to unstrap your lifeless form from the table. The filming stops and the screens go black.
âWe can only guess what happened next,â Furyâs voice echoed through the room. âThis is why itâs called the Lazarus Serum. Like the Lazarus of myth, it brought her back to life. The woman you knew, Steve, died on that table. What came back was something else.â
âExcuse me.â Steve quietly excused himself from the room, his thoughts too heavy to focus on a strategy. He needed a moment alone, to process what he had just seen, and to prepare himself for the fight of his life.
Tony, who had been deep in thought, glanced up just in time to see Steve slipping out of the door. Something about the way Steve movedâso rigid, so controlledâset off alarm bells in Tonyâs mind.
âHey, Capââ Tony called after him, but Steve didnât stop. He didnât even turn his head. He just kept walking, his footsteps echoing down the corridor.
Tonyâs eyes narrowed as he watched Steve go. He knew that look, the one where Steve was bottling everything up inside, pretending he was fine when he was anything but.
Ă Ă Ă ĂÂ
Steve barely made it to his quarters before the dam broke. The door slid shut behind him with a soft hiss, sealing him in the solitude he so desperately needed. For a moment, he stood there, his back against the door, his breath coming in short, sharp gasps as he fought to maintain control.
But the weight of everything he had just seen and heardâthe memories, the footage of your death, the knowledge that you had suffered because of himâcrushed down on him with a force that made his knees buckle. He stumbled forward, his vision blurring with unshed tears.
With a choked sob, Steve lashed out, his fist slamming into the nearest objectâhis desk. The wood splintered under the force of the blow, but the pain in his knuckles barely registered. He hit it again, and again, each impact sending shockwaves up his arm, but it wasnât enough. It would never be enough.
He threw a chair, shattered a picture frame, and ripped the curtains from the window, the fabric tearing with a violent snap. His breath came in ragged gasps, his chest heaving as he struggled to breathe through the crushing weight of his emotions.
The door to his room suddenly opened, and Tony Stark stepped inside, his usual confident demeanor faltering as he took in the sight of Steve in the midst of his rampage. Steve didnât notice him at first, too lost in his own agony to register anything beyond the need to destroy, to somehow externalize the pain that was tearing him apart from the inside.
âSteve!â Tonyâs voice was sharp, cutting through the chaos. But Steve didnât stop. He grabbed the closest thing within reachâa lampâand hurled it across the room, the glass shattering as it struck the wall.
âSteve!â Tony shouted again, moving quickly to grab Steveâs arm as he reached for another object. Steve yanked his arm away, his eyes wild and unfocused, his chest heaving as he glared at Tony.
âGet out!â Steveâs voice was raw, torn from the depths of his soul. But Tony didnât back down. Instead, he reached out again, this time catching Steveâs wrist in a firm grip.
âSteve, stop!â Tonyâs voice was filled with a mixture of urgency and compassion as he tightened his hold. âYouâre going to hurt yourself!â
Steve struggled but held back in Tonyâs grip, his knuckles already bleeding from the impacts against the wooden furniture. But Tony didnât let go. He could see the pain in Steveâs eyes, the anguish that was tearing him apart, and he knew he couldnât just leave him like this.
âDamn it, Rogers, look at me!â Tonyâs voice cracked with emotion as he forced Steve to meet his gaze. âYou canât keep doing this to yourself!â
For a moment, Steveâs rage faltered, his eyes locking with Tonyâs. The room fell into silence, the only sound the ragged breathing of the two men standing in the midst of the wreckage. And then, as if the fight had been drained out of him, Steve collapsed to his knees, his body trembling with the force of his sobs.
âI did this,â Steve gasped, his voice choking with emotion. âAll of this.â
Tony knelt beside him, his heart aching at the sight of his friend so completely broken. He pulled Steve into a tight embrace, holding him as Steveâs walls crumbled completely.
Steve fought against it at first, his body stiffening as if trying to hold onto the last shreds of his composure, but eventually, he couldnât resist. He rested his forehead on Tonyâs shoulder, his sobs coming harder and faster, his breath hitching in his throat.
âYou canât blame yourself for everything,â Tony whispered, his own voice thick with emotion as he acted as Steveâs rock.Â
âI failed,â Steve cried, his voice muffled against Tonyâs shoulder. âI left her when she needed me the most. How can I ever make that right?â
âDamn it,â Tony mumbled, tightened his grip, his own throat constricting as he tried to hold back his own tears, âHYDRA did this, not you. There is always a way.â

Tony entered the cell, his expression devoid of the usual levity. He took a moment to observe you, noticing the way your eyes followed his every move, calculating, waiting.
"Back so soon, Stark?" You broke the silence, your voice a smooth mixture of mockery and disinterest. "Did you miss me?"
Tony didn't rise to the bait. Instead, he pulled out the chair across from you and sat down, folding his hands in front of him. He stared at you for a long moment, his gaze unflinching.
"I think you and I both know there's more to this Lazarus Serum than you're letting on," Tony began, his tone conversational but with an edge of steel beneath it.Â
âI see Rogers didn't waste any time, after knowing about my serum,â you chuckled and raised an eyebrow, a hint of amusement flickering in your eyes. "Is this the part where you try to psychoanalyze me? Try to figure out what makes me tick?"
"Oh, I don't need to figure out what makes you tick. I already know. Youâre angry, bitter, and probably more than a little scared. Not that youâd ever admit it." Tony leaned back in his chair, crossing his arms casually.
Your eyes narrowed slightly, the first crack in your carefully maintained facade. "You donât know anything about me."
"Donât I?" Tony replied smoothly, his voice taking on a tone of calculated sympathy. "You were Steveâs girl, right? The one who got left behind, forgotten. You were just a kid when HYDRA took you, and they twisted you into something⊠else. Youâre not angry because of what they did to you. Youâre angry because the people who were supposed to care about youâpeople like Steveâdidnât save you."
Your hands clenched into fists at Tonyâs words, the knuckles turning white. "You think youâre clever, now huh? You think you can come in here and play mind games with me?"
Tony leaned forward, his eyes locking onto yours with an intensity that was hard to ignore. "Iâm not playing games. I just want to understand whatâs going on here. Because if thereâs one thing Iâve learned, itâs that nothing is ever as simple as it seems. You hate Steve, sure. You hate me, too, probably. But Iâm betting thereâs a part of you that hates HYDRA even more. So why donât you tell me what they really did to you? Whatâs the catch with this Lazarus Serum? What are they not telling you?â
You held Tony's gaze, the flicker of something darker passing through your eyes. But you kept your expression as neutral as you could. "You think Iâm just going to spill my secrets to you? Youâre more naive than I thought."
Tony smirked, leaning back again, feigning a relaxed demeanor. "Oh, I don't expect you to spill everything. Not right away. But Iâm pretty good at reading between the lines. And right now, youâre giving off a lot of signals, sweetheart."
The nickname was meant to annoy you, but you didnât react, keeping your face impassive. Instead, you decided to toy with him a bit. "You really think youâre different from the rest of them, donât you? Just because youâre a genius in a tin suit? HYDRA, SHIELD, youâtheyâre all the same. You all think youâre the smartest one in the room. But youâre all playing the same game. Youâre all just cogs in the same machine."
Tonyâs eyes narrowed slightly, but he kept his cool. "Thatâs a nice speech. But Iâve been in your shoes, remember? Taken apart, piece by piece, rebuilt by people who didnât give a damn about what they were doing to me. So why donât we cut the crap? What did HYDRA really do to you?"
You leaned forward, matching his intensity. "They made me better. Stronger. Faster. Everything your buddy Rogers has, and then some. But you already know that. What you really want to know is how to stop it."
Tony tilted his head, a small smile playing on his lips. "So itâs true then? Thereâs no off-switch? No failsafe? Youâre just a ticking time bomb, arenât you?"
Your eyes flashed with anger, and for a moment, you almost let it slip. Almost. But you caught yourself, settling back in your chair with a cold smile. "Nice try. But youâre not as clever as you think you are."
Tonyâs smile didnât falter, but his eyes hardened. "Youâre right. Iâm not trying to be clever. Iâm trying to help you. You think youâre untouchable now, but the truth is, HYDRA doesnât make anything without a leash. Youâre telling me thereâs no failsafe? No way to control you if you step out of line?"
You didnât respond immediately, and that was all Tony needed. "See? That, right there. You hesitated. Thereâs something youâre not telling me. Something even you donât know."
You clenched your jaw, the silence between you thickening. Tony was getting under your skin, and he knew it. He leaned in closer, his voice dropping to a whisper. "You think youâre free? Youâre just as much a prisoner as you were when they first strapped you to that table. And deep down, you know it."
"You think you can manipulate me with your cheap psychology tricks? Iâve had experts try to break me, Stark. Youâre not even in the same league."
Tonyâs expression remained unfazed. "I donât need to break you. I just need to understand. Because if you think for one second that Iâm going to let HYDRA have their way with youâor with anyone elseâyouâre sorely mistaken."
You stared at him, your mind racing. Tony Stark was a lot of things, but he wasnât stupid. And he was right about one thing: HYDRA didnât make anything without a failsafe. But what did that mean for you? Did you even want to know?
Tony watched the conflict play out on your face, and he decided to push just a little bit harder. "You can keep pretending that youâre in control, that youâre the one calling the shots. But at the end of the day, youâre just another one of HYDRAâs experiments. And when theyâre done with you, theyâll toss you aside like garbage."
Your hands trembled slightly, the anger boiling just beneath the surface. "Shut up, Stark."
He leaned back, satisfied that he had struck a nerve. "Weâll talk again when youâre ready to stop lying to yourself. And trust me, you will."
As Tony stood up to leave, you couldnât help but wonder if he was right. The idea that HYDRA could still have control over you, that there was something they hadnât told youâit gnawed at you. But you couldnât let him see that. You couldnât let him win.
Just before Tony reached the door, you spoke again, your voice cold and distant. "You think you know everything now. But it's only the tip of a needle."
Tony paused, turning back to you with a raised eyebrow. "Then enlighten me."
But you didnât say another word. You simply stared at him, your eyes burning with a mixture of anger and fear. Tony shook his head slightly, a hint of disappointment in his expression before walking out and leaving you alone with your thoughts.
And for the first time in a long time, those thoughts werenât comforting.
Ă Ă Ă ĂÂ
Your eyes snapped open. The blaring sound reverberated through the metal structure of the Helicarrier, signaling chaos above. A slow, cold smile spread across your lips, a glimmer of dark satisfaction in your eyes.
Leaning back against the wall, you tilted your head slightly, listening to the escalating panic beyond the cell door. The symphony of chaos was almost... delightful.
âFinally,â you whispered to yourself, your voice barely audible over the din.
The lights flickered, the warning sirens growing louder and more insistent as SHIELD agents scrambled to their stations. The Avengers, who had been spread out across the ship, immediately converged in the command center, each of them on high alert.
"What now?" Tony muttered, his face twisting into a frown as he glanced at the flashing red lights.Â
Fury's voice boomed over the intercom. "We've got hostiles onboard. This isn't a drillâThe Winter Soldier and a squad of HYDRA operatives just breached the perimeter."Â
Steve's heart plummeted. He had just started to gather himself after the emotional breakdown of learning about your past and his rage-fueled outburst. Now, hearing about Buckyâs presence, he felt a fresh surge of desperation. He had to stop him from reaching you.
As they ran through the Helicarrier's corridors, the sounds of battle grew louder. Gunfire echoed off the metal walls, and the smell of smoke and burning electronics filled the air.
The Helicarrier shook as explosions ripped through the structure, sending sparks and chunks of metal cascading through the corridors.Â
Alarms blared, drowning out the shouts of SHIELD agents and the staccato of gunfire. The team raced through the chaos, dodging falling debris and returning fire at HYDRA agents who revealed themselves.
Natasha sprinted ahead, her movements fluid as she flipped over a barrage of bullets, landing gracefully before taking out two HYDRA agents with precise shots to their heads. She quickly ducked behind cover, reloading her pistols, eyes scanning for the next threat. Clint, perched in a higher vantage point, loosed arrows with deadly accuracy, each one finding its mark in the chest or throat of a HYDRA agent.Â
âWeâve got to cut them off before they reach Y/N!â Steve shouted through the comms, his voice barely audible over the chaos.
Tony took to the air, his repulsors humming as he blasted through a wall to create a shortcut.Â
âOn it!â he called out, targeting a group of HYDRA agents laying down suppressive fire from a balcony. His repulsors lit up the darkened corridor as he unleashed a barrage of energy beams, reducing the balconyâand the agents on itâto rubble.
Meanwhile, Steve charged forward, his shield a blur of motion as he deflected bullets and took down any HYDRA operatives in his path. He was relentless, driven by the singular focus of reaching you before it was too late. His heart pounded in his chest, not just from the exertion of battle, but from the gnawing fear of what would happen if Bucky succeeded.
Ahead of him, the Winter Soldier, was a force of nature. He moved with deadly precision, his metal arm crushing through walls and doors as if they were paper. With every obstacle he encountered, he either barreled through or dismantled it.
A squad of SHIELD agents attempted to block his path, but they were no match for his ruthlessness. Bucky dispatched them brutally, his expression unchanging as he advanced toward the detention level.
Steve caught sight of Bucky just as he took out the last of the SHIELD agents guarding the entrance to your cell.Â
âBucky, stop!â Steve shouted, his voice carrying through the smoke-filled corridor.
Bucky turned slowly, his eyes narrowing as he locked onto Steve. There was a flicker of recognition, but it was quickly buried beneath the cold, mechanical focus of the Winter Soldier. Without a word, Bucky charged at Steve, their collision echoing through the Helicarrier like a thunderclap. The force of their impact sent shockwaves through the surrounding walls, cracking the metal and sending a rain of sparks from the overhead lights.
The fight was immediate and brutal, each man fighting with a desperate intensity that went beyond the mission. Steve knew he had to stop Bucky, not just to protect you, but to save the man who had once been his best friend. But Bucky was relentless, his movements precise and deadly, every strike aimed to incapacitate or kill.
Steve blocked a powerful punch from Buckyâs metal arm with his shield, the impact reverberating up his arm and nearly knocking him off balance. He retaliated with a swift kick to Buckyâs midsection, but Bucky barely flinched, grabbing Steve by the arm and slamming him against the wall with enough force to dent the metal.
âYou donât have to do this!â Steve shouted, ducking under a wild swing from Buckyâs left fist. âYouâre James Buchanan Barnes! You were born in Brooklyn, 1917! We grew up togetherâbest friends!â
âShut up!â Bucky growled, his voice low and dangerous as he swung his metal arm at Steve with murderous intent. âI donât want to hear it!â
But Steve wouldnât stop. He couldnât. âYouâre Bucky! You joined the 107th Infantry, you fought in the war, you saved my life more times than I can count!â
âShut up!â Bucky roared, slamming Steve into the wall again, the force of the impact cracking the metal. âShut up!â
But Steve pressed on, his voice cracking with desperation. âYouâre a brother to me, Bucky! We went through hell together! Youâre not thisâthis weapon HYDRA made you into! Youâre James Buchanan Barnes!â
Buckyâs eyes flashed with something dark and twisted as he Buckyâs grip tightened around Steveâs throat, the rage in his eyes burning brighter with each word Steve spoke. âI told you to shut up!â
But Steve, despite the choking pressure on his windpipe, forced the words out. âYouâre... Bucky... youâre... my brother...â
With a snarl, Bucky shoved Steve back, releasing his grip only to drive a brutal punch into Steveâs midsection. Steve doubled over, gasping for air, but even as he staggered, he refused to give up.
âRemember... who you are, who I am,â Steve rasped, clutching at his ribs as he straightened up.Â
"I don't care to remember who you are but I do remember this. . .â
Steveâs heart surged with a flicker of hope, but it was quickly dashed as Bucky continued, his tone dripping with malice. âI remember the way she used to scream for me, the way she begged because someone couldn't satisfy her.â
Steve saw red.
Steve launched himself at Bucky, his fists flying with a ferocity he hadnât unleashed in years. All the restraint, all the control he usually maintained, evaporated in the face of Buckyâs vile taunts. He swung his shield with all vicious force, slamming it into Buckyâs side and following up with a brutal uppercut that sent Bucky staggering back.
But Bucky recovered quickly, his expression cold and unyielding as he blocked Steveâs next punch with his metal arm. The force of their strikes echoed through the corridor, each blow landing with the weight of their shared history and the emotional wounds that had been ripped open.
âYou donât know what youâre talking about!â Steve shouted, his voice hoarse with rage as he slammed his shield into Buckyâs midsection again. âThis isnât you! HYDRA did this to you! Youâre not their puppet!â
But Bucky just sneered, his eyes filled with contempt as he caught Steveâs next punch and twisted his arm painfully. âShe never begged you for more, did she? No matter how much you tried, she always needed me to finish what you couldnât start.â
The taunt was the final straw. Steveâs vision blurred with a red haze as he let out a guttural scream, wrenching his arm free and slamming his shield into Buckyâs chest with enough force to crack the metal floor beneath them. He didnât care about strategy or technique anymoreâhe just wanted to hurt Bucky, to make him pay for every word, every twisted memory HYDRA had implanted in his mind.
Steve pressed his advantage, driving Bucky back with a flurry of powerful strikes. He landed a solid punch to Buckyâs jaw, then followed it up with a brutal shield bash that sent Bucky staggering. For a moment, it seemed as though Steve might actually overpower him. Buckyâs defenses faltered, and Steve took full advantage, slamming him into the wall with a force that made the entire corridor shudder.
âYou donât get to talk about her!â Steve roared, his shield coming down like a hammer, striking Bucky again and again. The fury in his eyes was all-consuming, his movements fueled by a deep, protective rage.
Bucky grunted in pain, the relentless assault forcing him onto the defensive. He blocked a few of Steveâs strikes, but the sheer force behind each blow drove him back, his metal arm straining under the impact.
âYouâre not taking her!â Steve shouted, driving his knee into Buckyâs midsection and following it with a devastating uppercut that sent Bucky crashing to the ground.
For a moment, Steve loomed over Bucky, panting heavily, his eyes blazing with anger. He had the upper hand, and Bucky looked up at him with something that might have been fear or perhaps something darker.
But Bucky wasnât finished. As Steve moved in for the final blow, Buckyâs eyes narrowed, and with a sudden, vicious twist, he swept Steveâs legs out from under him. Steve hit the ground hard, his shield clattering to the side. Before he could recover, Bucky was on him, his metal arm clamping around Steveâs throat, squeezing with unyielding force.
Steveâs vision darkened as he struggled against Buckyâs grip, the initial surge of rage drained him, leaving him vulnerable. Bucky leaned in close, his expression cold and unforgiving, his grip tightening as if to finish him off.
But then, something shifted in Buckyâs eyes. His grip faltered, the anger in his expression wavering. He stared down at Steve, breathing heavily, and for a moment, he looked... lost. The hostility that had driven him was still there, but it was mingled with familiarity.
Steve, gasping for air, could see the hesitation in Buckyâs eyes. âYou...will put her in danger if you take her,â he managed to choke out, his voice strained but firm. âYouâre more than what they made you.â
Buckyâs hand trembled, the pressure on Steveâs throat easing slightly. He didnât know why, but the idea of finishing Steve off suddenly felt wrong. There was a nagging feeling deep inside him, something that pushed against the cold, mechanical orders HYDRA had drilled into him.
He released his grip on Steveâs throat entirely, stepping back as if unsure of what he had been about to do. He looked down at Steve, who lay on the ground, coughing and trying to catch his breath, and for the first time in a long time, Bucky felt a pang of guilt.
âI... donât care who you are,â Bucky muttered, his voice cracking with an emotion he couldnât place. âBut stay out of my way.â
Instead of delivering the final blow, Bucky turned and walked away, leaving Steve lying on the cold metal floor, bruised and battered but still conscious.
Bucky reached the detention level, his pace quickening as he neared the cell where you were held. The door loomed ahead and he entered the pin that he was given by one of the agents.
He stepped into the cell, his expression softening as he saw you. âLet's go,â he said, his voice filled with a protective tone that left no room for doubt. It didnât matter who stood in his wayâhe would protect you at any cost, even if it meant defying the part of him that still hesitated, still questioned, still remembered.

In the hangar bay, Tony arrived just in time to see the transport vanish into the distance. He cursed under his breath, frustration and anger bubbling up inside him as he activated his comms.
âFury, weâve lost them. Theyâre gone,â Tony said, his voice laced with bitterness.
There was a brief pause on the other end before Fury responded. âGet Rogers and regroup. Weâll figure out our next move, but this isnât over. Not by a long shot.â
Tony glanced back at the corridor where Steve was trying to get up with a grimace.
He made his way back to Steve, kneeling beside his fallen teammate. âCome on, Cap,â Tony muttered, âWeâve got work to do.â
Steve groaned as got up to his feet, head pounding from the beating heâd taken. The first thing he saw when he looked up was Tonyâs face, his expression grim but not without a hint of concern.
âY/NâŠ?â Steve murmured, his voice weak as he tried to push himself up.
âThey got her,â Tony replied, his tone flat. âBucky took her, and theyâre long gone by now.â
Steveâs heart sank, the weight of his failure crashing down on him like a ton of bricks adding to the pile. But Tony wasnât about to let him wallow in self-pity.
âSave it for later, Cap,â Tony said, helping him to his feet. âRight now, we need to get back to the others. Furyâs not going to be happy about this, but we need to regroup and figure out our next move.â
Steve nodded numbly, still trying to process everything that had happened. The pain in his ribs and the bruises covering his body were nothing compared to the agony of knowing that he had failed again.
Ă Ă Ă Ă
The dust began to settle, and the team regrouped, battered but unbowed. The realization of what had just happenedâof how deeply HYDRA had infiltrated SHIELDâhung over them like a dark cloud. The Helicarrier was in disarray, corridors filled with debris, smoke still curling from shattered panels, and the distant sound of alarms echoing through the vast structure. SHIELD agents, those who remained loyal, were helping the wounded and trying to restore some semblance of order.Â
Steve Rogers leaned heavily against a wall, his injuries and the emotional toll pressing down on him like never before.Â
Tony Stark, always one to keep moving even when his mind was in chaos, was pacing back and forth, his suit clanking with every step. He had been replaying the events of the past few hours in his mind, analyzing every detail, every word, every move, searching for something they had missed. As his thoughts churned, a memory suddenly clicked into place, causing him to stop dead in his tracks, his eyes widening.
âDammit,â Tony muttered under his breath, his voice tinged with frustration and a hint of disbelief. The suddenness of his outburst caused the others to turn toward him, their expressions questioning.
âWhat is it?â Natasha asked, her tone sharp as she watched Tony with narrowed eyes. She was on edge, the adrenaline of the fight still pumping through her veins, and the last thing she needed was another surprise.
Tony turned to face the group, frustration evident as he pieced it together out loud. âY/N knew. That cryptic crap she said during the interrogationâit wasnât just her messing with us. She was trying to tell us something.â
Steve straightened at the mention of your name, his heart tightening as he remembered the cold, distant look in your eyes during the interrogation.Â
âWhat are you talking about, Tony?â he asked, his voice rough with exhaustion.
âShe said something about how âkeep your friends close. . . But your enemies closer,â and that âyouâd be shocked at how deep the rot goes.â At the time, it sounded like she was just spewing nonsense to get under our skin. But nowâŠit makes sense.â
âShe was warning us,â Tony continued, his tone filled with a mix of frustration and reluctant admiration. âShe was trying to tell us that HYDRA had already infiltrated SHIELD. She practically spelled it out for us, but we were too blind to see it. We were so focused on her as the enemy that we didnât stop to think about what she was really saying.â
Natasha frowned, her mind racing as she recalled the conversation. âWhy didnât she just come out and say it directly?â she questioned, but even as the words left her mouth, she knew the answer.Â
âBecause she couldnât,â Clint interjected, âIf sheâd said it outright, theyâd know. HYDRA would have seen it, and theyâd have to shut her down before she could give us anything.â
Steve, who had been standing off to the side, consumed with thoughts of you, felt a fresh wave of guilt wash over him. He had been so focused on what you had becomeâso fixated on the idea of saving youâthat he hadnât seen what you were trying to tell them. You had been trying to help them, in your own way, and he had missed it.
âY/N was trying to help us,â Steve murmured, his voice filled with a mix of realization and sorrow. âBut we didnât listen.â
Tonyâs expression softened slightly, though his usual bravado was still present. âShe was still playing her own game, Cap. Donât romanticize it too much. But yeah, she threw us a bone. And we missed it.â
Natasha stepped closer, her gaze firm and unyielding. âSo what do we do now? We canât trust anyone. HYDRA could be anywhereâeverywhere. We need a plan.â
Steveâs mind was spinning, this was the last thing they needed. The fight with Bucky, the realization that you had tried to warn them, the knowledge that HYDRA had already sunk its claws deep into SHIELDâit was hard to believe, but that was now the reality.
But he couldnât afford to falter. Not now. Not when so much was at stake.
âWe need to figure out who we can trust, and take the fight to HYDRA. Weâll find Y/N and Bucky, and weâll put an end to this.â Steve said firmly.
The others nodded.Â
They had been blindsided, caught off guard by the depth of HYDRAâs infiltration. But they were the Avengersâthey had faced impossible odds before, and they would do it again.
As the team moved to regroup and plan their next steps, Tony lingered for a moment, his gaze fixed on Steve. âCap,â he said quietly, drawing Steveâs attention. âWeâll get them back. Both of them.â

The stolen Quinjetâs engines was the only sound between you and Bucky as the landscape blurred beneath. Outside, the world rushed by in a silent blur of greens and browns, but inside, the atmosphere was thick with uncertainty.
You sat in the copilotâs seat, staring out of the window, mind a whirlwind of thoughts. Tonyâs words echoed in your head, a gnawing doubt that you couldnât shake. Youâre just a ticking time bomb, arenât you? You remembered him saying, his voice laced with the same arrogance that always grated on your nerves. But this time, beneath the bravado, there was something elseâtruth.
Was there something HYDRA hadnât told you? Some failsafe, hidden deep within you? The thought made you uneasy in a way you hadnât felt in a long time. You clenched your fists, your knuckles turning white as you fought to keep your composure. You had always prided yourself on being in control, on being the one to pull the strings. But now⊠now you weren't so sure.
Beside you, Bucky was equally lost in thought, his eyes fixed on the controls, though his mind was elsewhere. Steveâs words from their brutal fight were like daggers in his mind, each one striking a different nerve. He had tried to shut them out, to focus on the mission, but they kept coming back, louder and louder. âYouâre James Buchanan Barnes! You were born in Brooklyn, 1917! We grew up togetherâbest friends!â
The memories were there, just out of reach, like a puzzle with pieces that didnât quite fit. Buckyâs grip on the controls tightened as he fought the urge to scream, to give in to the frustration that was building inside him. But he couldnât.
âWeâre still quite far,â You said quietly, breaking the silence. Your voice was steady, but there was a tension beneath it that Bucky didnât miss.
He nodded, glancing over at you. âYou sure about this?â he asked, his voice gruff.
You didnât answer right away, your gaze still fixed on the horizon. When you finally spoke, your voice was low, almost as if you were speaking to yourself. âI donât know anymore. About anything.â
Bucky didnât press you. He understood that feeling all too well. For the longest time, his life had been nothing but a series of orders, a mission without end. Now, here he was, flying towards a past that he barely remembered, with a woman who was just as lost as he was.
âStark is right, you know,â you said suddenly, turning to face him. âAbout HYDRA. About the control they still have over me. Stark⊠Stark said something thatâs been eating away at me. He thinks thereâs a failsafe. Something I donât know about.â
Buckyâs eyes flicked to yours, and for a moment, he saw the vulnerability that you so rarely showed. âStarkâs a paranoid bastard, but heâs not wrong about everything,â he replied. âHYDRA always had a backup plan.â
You nodded, biting your lip as you turned back to the window. âIâve got people waiting for us at my fatherâs old place. People who want to rebel. But if Starkâs right⊠if thereâs something inside me that they can still controlâŠâ
âThen we deal with it,â Bucky said firmly, his voice cutting through your doubt. âWeâll find out what HYDRA did, and weâll tear it out by the roots.â
You glanced over at Bucky, a serious expression settling over your face. âNow that my plan to sabotage Pierce succeeded, he has new enemies,â you said, your voice steady and sure. âWhatâs left of SHIELD⊠and us. I just know he's scrambling to get the upper hand.â
Bucky paused, taking in your words before he asked the question that had been nagging at him. âWhy did you help them? The Avengers.â
Your gaze shifted back to the window, your expression hardening slightly. âI didnât.â
Buckyâs brow furrowed, confused. âWhat would you call it then?â
There was a moment of silence, heavy with the weight of what lay unspoken between you. Finally, you turned to face him, your eyes sharp and unyielding. âTaking down Pierce. That was my only goal. The Avengers were just⊠a means to an end.â
Bucky studied you, searching for any hint of hesitation or doubt. âSo you used them?â
âUse them, manipulate them, call it what you want,â you replied, your tone firm but devoid of the venom that usually laced your words. âI needed them to believe they had the upper hand. It was the only way, very hypocritical. I know.â
Bucky nodded slowly, processing your words. He could see the logic in it, but there was something in your tone, in the way your eyes darkened when you spoke, that told him there was more to it than you were letting on.
âDo you regret it?â he asked quietly.
You didnât answer immediately. Your gaze drifted back to the horizon, your expression unreadable.Â
âRegret is a luxury I canât afford, Bucky,â you said finally. âPierce needs to fall, and I did what I had to do to make that happen, for your freedom.â
âAnd yours. . .?â he asked, his voice quiet but insistent.Â
You stayed silent, your expression unchanged, but the slight tightening of your grip on the armrest didnât escape Buckyâs notice. The question hung in the air, unanswered, and he realized that perhaps even you didnât know the answer.

The next day.
The Quinjet landed softly in the clearing, its engines whirring down to a low hum as the dust settled around it. You stepped out first, scanning the familiar surroundings of your fatherâs old home. It was a place of memories, both comforting and haunting. The farmhouse had weathered time well, standing as a symbol of resilience, much like those who now sought refuge within its walls.
Bucky followed close behind, his eyes sweeping over the perimeter, ever vigilant. As they approached the entrance, one of your trusted agentsâAgent Lawsonâemerged from the shadows, his face grim.
âWelcome back, maâam,â Lawson said, his tone respectful but tinged with urgency. âWeâve got intel. You need to see this.â
Your exchanged a brief glance with Bucky before nodding to Lawson. âInside,â you said, your voice steady despite the unease growing within you.
You entered the farmhouse, the interior dimly lit but secure. The agent led them to a small room that had been converted into a makeshift command center. Maps, monitors, and files were spread across a large table, each detailing various aspects of their ongoing struggle against HYDRA.
Lawson handed you a tablet, his expression serious. âMaâam, the Avengers went public with the exposure of HYDRA. Itâs all over the news now. HYDRAâs operations within SHIELD are out in the open, and theyâre scrambling.â
Your eyes narrowed as you took the tablet, the screen lighting up with a news feed. On it, you could see footage of Captain America, Steve Rogers, speaking directly to the camera in a broadcast that had gone out worldwide. But as you listened to his words, you quickly realized there was something that felt intimately directed at you.
âIf you launch those helicarriers today, HYDRA will be able to kill anyone that stands in their way, unless we stop them,â Steveâs voice echoed through the room, his tone calm but behind it, something deeperâsomething only you would recognize. âI know Iâm asking a lot, but the price of freedom is high; it always has been.â
Steveâs voice softened just slightly, a subtle change that might go unnoticed by most, but not by you. âAnd itâs a price Iâm willing to pay,â he continued, his words lingering, as if speaking directly to you, âIâm not afraid to fight for what matters⊠or who matters.â
Your heart clenched at the unmistakable message, meant for you and you alone. âIf Iâm the only one, so be it. But Iâm willing to bet Iâm not.â
The screen froze on Steveâs face, his expression resolute, but his eyesâthose eyes that you knew so wellâ carried a message meant just for you.
âTheyâve dealt HYDRA a major blow, but Pierce is still out there,â Lawson continued, oblivious to the personal significance of Steveâs words. âHeâs regrouping, and heâs made it clear that heâs coming after you, maâam.â
You stared at the frozen image of Steve for a moment longer, your emotions swirling, threatening to break through the carefully constructed walls you had built around yourself. But then, with a sharp inhale, you forced those emotions down, locking them away where they couldnât distract you.
Your face hardened as you shoved the tablet back into Lawsonâs hands, your voice clipped and cold. âWhatâs Pierce planning?â
Lawson, slightly taken aback by your sudden change in demeanor, quickly handed you a folder. âWe intercepted some communications from whatâs left of HYDRAâs network. Pierce is regrouping, but heâs been severely compromised.â
You opened the folder, your eyes quickly scanning the contents. As you read, your expression darkened further. âWhatâs his next move?â you asked, your tone flat, all traces of emotion wiped clean.
Lawson hesitated, his eyes flickering to Bucky before he spoke. âHeâs going after you, maâam. Pierce knows heâs lost control of HYDRAâs influence within SHIELD, but heâs not done yet. Heâs activated somethingâsomething called Project Lazarus.â
âThat bastard Stark was right,â You laughed but your grip on the folder tightened.
âHeâs desperate,â you said quietly, your eyes narrowing as you pieced it together. âIf he canât control me, heâll try to eliminate me. Heâs betting everything on this failsafe.â
Lawson nodded. âWe believe heâs mobilizing the remnants of HYDRA to locate and retrieve whatever information or technology is needed to activate it. If he gets his hands on it, youâll be his primary target.â
âWe need to find out exactly what and where this failsafe is and how to disable it.â you closed the folder with a snap, your expression cold and resolute. âLawson, I want every available resource focused on this. Find out everything you can about Project Lazarusâwhat it is, where itâs stored, how it works. We donât have much time.â
âYes, maâam,â Lawson said, his voice firm as he prepared to carry out your orders.
Bucky stepped closer, the bad feeling bothering his mind increasing intensity. âY/N, this is a trap. Racing Pierce for this failsafe⊠itâs exactly what he wants. Heâs counting on you going after it, to put yourself in danger.â
âI donât have a choice, Bucky. If he gets to it first, itâs over. We need to find out exactly what this failsafe is and how to disable it.â
Buckyâs hand twitched, his instincts screaming at him that something was terribly wrong.Â
âI donât like this,â he admitted, his voice low and urgent. âThereâs too much we donât know. Pierce is desperate, and that makes him dangerous. If you go after this, youâre walking right into his hands.â
âNot if we get to it first.â You lifted your hand and placed it over his cheek, âTrust me.â
Not even ten minutes passed by, Lawson returned, his expression urgent. âMaâam, weâve got the preliminary intel on Project Lazarus. Itâs worse than we thought.â
Your eyes snapped to Lawson, all traces of emotion vanishing as you switched back into mission mode. âWhat did you find?â
Lawson handed you a small, encrypted drive. âItâs a self-destruct mechanism, embedded within the serum dna. If activated, it will kill the host instantly. Pierceâs plan is to get to the activation device before we can, and if he does...â
Y/Nâs grip on the drive tightened, the weight of what Lawson was saying settling over her. âThen itâs game over,â you finished, your voice cold.
Bucky felt his chest tighten as he listened. âY/N, this is exactly what I was talking about. Youâre the one heâs targeting. He knows youâll go after it, and heâs setting the trap.â
You looked down at the drive in your hand, the realization of what you were up against hitting you fully. But there was no hesitation in your voice when you spoke. âThis is why we make sure he doesnât get there first. We move fast, and we donât give him the chance to spring his trap.â
âLawson, get the team ready, weâre moving out in twenty.â You look back at Bucky, giving him a small reassuring smile before you get yourself prepared.

The war room at the Avengers Compound was buzzing with activity. Multiple holographic displays floated in midair, showing maps, satellite images, and streams of data that scrolled rapidly across the screens. The Avengers were gathered around the central table, their expressions tense and focused. Time was running out, and they all knew it.
Steve Rogers stood at the head of the table, his arms crossed as he surveyed the data being fed in by JARVIS. His eyes were sharp, determined, but there was an undercurrent of urgency in his posture. They had to find Pierce before it was too late.
âJARVIS, expand the search radius to include the most recent HYDRA activity,â Tony Stark ordered, his fingers flying over the controls on the table. A new map appeared, showing several locations highlighted in red.
âI have already cross-referenced known HYDRA safehouses and recent communications intercepts, sir,â JARVIS responded, his voice calm and efficient. âHowever, Mr. Pierce has been taking measures to cover his tracks. He is not using any of the usual channels.â
âWeâre missing something,â Natasha Romanoff said, her voice thoughtful as she studied the data in front of her. âHe wouldnât just go dark. Heâs got to be coordinating something big. There has to be a pattern.â
Bruce Banner leaned forward, adjusting his glasses as he examined a cluster of highlighted areas on the map. âWhat about his known associates? Anyone still in contact with him?â
âMost of them are either in custody or underground,â Natasha replied, shaking her head. âBut there are a few we havenât been able to track down. They could be his lifeline.â
Steve looked over at Sam Wilson, who was monitoring a live feed of communications traffic. âSam, anything on your end?â
âNot much,â Sam said, his brow furrowed in concentration. âBut I did pick up a few encrypted messages that could be HYDRA-related. The problem is, theyâre using a code we havenât cracked yet.â
Tonyâs fingers paused over the controls, and he turned to look at the team. âWe donât have time to play it safe. We need to flush him out. We hit those locations simultaneously and force him to react.â
âAgreed,â Steve said, nodding. âBut we need to be smart about it. Pierce is desperate, and that makes him dangerous. We canât afford any mistakes.â
âSteveâs right,â Natasha added. âWe go in, but we need to be prepared for anything.â
Just then, JARVISâs voice cut through the tension. âI may have something, sir. Iâve detected a series of anomalous energy readings in an isolated area approximately fifty miles outside the city. The readings are consistent with the signature of a stealth HYDRA base.â
A holographic image zoomed in on the location, showing a heavily forested area with minimal infrastructure. The perfect place for someone like Pierce to lay low.
âThatâs got to be him,â Clint Barton said, his eyes narrowing as he studied the terrain. âItâs secluded, hard to access, and easy to defend.â
Steve nodded, his jaw tightening. âThen thatâs where weâre going.â
Tony was already moving toward his suit, the familiar whirring of machinery filling the room as the armor began assembling around him. âJARVIS, prepare the Quinjet. Weâre wheels up in five.â
The rest of the team sprang into action, suiting up and gathering their gear. The sense of urgency in the room was palpableâthis was it. The moment they had been waiting for.
As they headed toward the hangar, Steve couldnât shake the nagging feeling that something was off. They had the location, they had the team, but there was still an unknown element at playâsomething that Pierce was counting on. They had to be ready for whatever he had planned.
In the Quinjet, the team settled into their positions, the hum of the engines vibrating through the floor as they prepared for takeoff. Steve stood at the front, his hands gripping the back of the pilotâs seat as he stared out at the darkening sky.
âWe go in fast and hard,â he said, addressing the team. âWe neutralize any resistance and secure Pierce. But keep your eyes openâthis could be a trap.â
âIsnât it always?â Natasha remarked, a hint of wry humor in her voice as she checked her weapons.
Tony turned to face the team, his visor down, but his voice clear through the comms. âRemember, Pierce knows how we operate. We need to stay one step ahead.â
The Quinjet lifted off smoothly, banking toward the coordinates JARVIS had provided. As they flew toward what they hoped would be the final confrontation with Pierce, the tension in the air was almost suffocating. Each of them was lost in their own thoughts, preparing mentally for what was to come.
Steveâs mind, however, drifted to Y/N and Bucky. He knew they were out there too, likely chasing the same target. His grip tightened on the seat. He hoped theyâd stay out of each otherâs way, but deep down, he knew that wasnât likely.
As the Quinjet sped through the night, Steve glanced around at his team, each one of them ready to face whatever lay ahead. This was the moment theyâd been preparing for. There was no turning back now.
âApproaching the target location,â Sam announced from the cockpit, bringing Steveâs focus back to the mission. âWeâre going in.â
Steve took a deep breath, steeling himself for the battle to come. âLetâs finish this.â
The Quinjet descended toward the forest below, and the Avengers braced themselves for the confrontation that would determine the fate of their missionâand possibly much more.
The air inside the abandoned HYDRA facility was thick with tension. Dust and debris lined the cold metal floors, remnants of a once formidable operation. Now, it was eerily silent, save for the faint hum of electricity still pulsing through the aging wires. The Avengers moved cautiously, their steps echoing through the empty corridors.
Steve Rogers led the team, his shield at the ready, as they approached the central chamber. His instincts told him they were closeâtoo close for comfort. The door to the chamber slid open with a hiss, revealing a large, dimly lit room. And there, at the center, stood Bucky and you.
The Avengers froze, surprise flickering across their faces as they took in the sight of the two figures. Buckyâs stance was tense, defensive, while you stood beside him, your gaze throwing daggers.
âWell, well, well,â Tony Starkâs voice cut through the silence, dripping with sarcasm. âLook who decided to crash the party. You two got lost on your way to a HYDRA reunion?â
You smirked, crossing your arms as you eyed Tony. âFunny, Stark. I was going to say the same thing about you. Shouldnât you be off with your lab toys or something? Or is this just another Tuesday for you?â
Tony raised an eyebrow, his suit whirring softly as he adjusted his stance. âOh, you know me, always multitasking. But I gotta admit, seeing you two here is a bit of a plot twist. Care to explain whatâs going on, or are we doing this the hard way?â
Buckyâs eyes darted between you and the Avengers, his muscles coiled like a spring ready to snap. He didnât like how outnumbered you were, and he especially didnât like the idea of a fight breaking out with Steve standing just a few feet away.
You kept your gaze locked on Tony, a hint of a smirk still playing on your lips. âTrust me, Stark, you donât want to do this the hard way. Weâre not here for you. But weâre also not here for a social call.â
Steve, sensing the rising tension, stepped forward, his shield raised slightly. âY/N, Bucky, Weâre here to take down Pierce. Youâre either with us or against us.â
Your eyes flicked to Steve, your smirk fading as your expression hardened. âWeâre here for the same reason, Rogers. But our priority isnât taking down Pierce. Itâs beating him first.â
Tony tilted his head, his eyes narrowing behind his mask. âAnd what, pray tell, what could be worse than letting that slimeball run free? Because from where Iâm standing, it looks like youâre cozying up to the wrong side.â
Before you could respond, a slow clap echoed through the chamber, drawing everyoneâs attention to the shadows. From the darkness, Pierce emerged, a smirk plastered on his face as he surveyed the scene.
âWell, isnât this touching?â Pierce drawled, his voice dripping with condescension. âThe Avengers, all united in their righteousness, and yet⊠here you are, just as powerless as ever.â
The Avengers immediately shifted their focus to Pierce, weapons ready, but the tension in the air remained palpable. Your body tensed, your eyes narrowing as you locked onto Pierce.
Steve took a step forward, his voice stern. âPierce, itâs over. Surrender now, and maybe we can work something out.â
Pierce laughed, a cold, humorless sound that echoed through the chamber. âOh, Steve. Always the optimist. But youâre wrong. Itâs not over. In fact, itâs just beginning.â
He raised a small device in his hand, his thumb hovering over a button. âYou all really thought you could stop me? After everything HYDRA has built? The world may see me as a traitor now, but Iâm not the one whoâs lost here. You are.âÂ
Pierceâs eyes shifted to you, his expression darkening with malicious glee. âAnd you, Y/N⊠the precious little weapon we created. Did you really think you could escape us? That you could fight back and win? Youâre a tool, nothing more. And like any tool, when youâve outlived your usefulness, you get discarded.â
Your jaw clenched, but you remained silent, your mind racing. You could see the cold resolve in Pierceâs eyes, the unmistakable sign that he was ready to press the button at any moment.
Pierce continued, enjoying every moment of his twisted power. âThisâthis is my failsafe. Our failsafe. HYDRA always plans for every eventuality, and you, Y/N, were no exception. One press of this button, and everything you are, everything we made you, ends.â
Steveâs heart sank as Pierceâs words sunk in. The realization hit him hardâPierce wasnât just threatening everyone, he was threatening your life. Panic flashed across Steveâs face, and he took another step forward, his voice urgent and desperate. âPierce, listen to me. You donât have to do this. Whatever HYDRA promised you, itâs not worth it. Just⊠put the remote down, and we can figure this out.â
Pierceâs smirk widened, relishing the fear he saw in Steveâs eyes. âOh, Captain. You think you can negotiate with me? Thatâs adorable. But you see, Iâve already won. Youâre too late to stop me.â
Steve shook his head, his voice breaking as he pleaded, âYou donât have to end her like this. If itâs me you want, take me. Just donât hurt her. Iâll do whatever you wantâjust put the remote down.â
For a brief moment, Pierce seemed to consider Steveâs words, tilting his head as if weighing his options. Then, a cold, cruel smile twisted his lips. âYou think Iâd trade her life for yours? How noble of you, Captain. But no, this isnât about you. This is about making sure she never defies us again. Itâs about sending a message.â
Steveâs desperation turned to anger as he tried one last time. âPierce, if you do this, thereâs no coming back. Youâll lose everything. Weâll make sure of it. Just⊠donât press that button. We can find another wayââ
But Pierceâs thumb was already pressing down.Â
To Steve, it felt like the world slowed to a crawl. The small, mechanical click of the button echoed in his ears like a gunshot, louder than anything heâd ever heard. His heart pounded, time moving painfully slow as the full reality of what was happening crushed down on him.
âNo!â Steveâs voice ripped through the chamber, filled with anguish and fear. He lunged forward, but it was too late. The failsafe activated, and your body reacted instantly.
Your body jerked violently as if a surge of electricity had just shot through your veins. A choked gasp escaped your lips, your eyes widening in shock and pain. You tried to reach out, to grab onto something, anything, to steady yourself but your strength drained from you like water through a sieve. You staggered, your legs buckling beneath you as you collapsed to the ground. Your vision blurred, but you fought for as long as you could, looking at Bucky who assisted you to collapse gently on the floor.
âNo!â Steveâs voice was frantic, the raw pain in it reverberating through the room. He dropped to his knees beside you, cradling your convulsing form in his arms as if by holding you close, he could somehow stop the inevitable. âNo, no, no, please, Y/N! Stay with me, stay with me!â
But you, through the haze of pain and the encroaching darkness, knew what you had to do. You turned your head slightly, focusing on Bucky. Your voice was weak, but the urgency was unmistakable. âBucky⊠run. You have to⊠run. Donât⊠look back.â
Buckyâs eyes widened in confusion, refusal written all over his face. âWhat? No, Iâm not leaving youââ
âGo!â Your voice cracked with desperation as you struggled to maintain consciousness. âGo, Bucky! Now!â
Bucky hesitated for a fraction of a second, torn between his instinct to fight and his need to protect you. But then Pierceâs smug smile caught his eye, and something inside him snapped. With a roar of pure rage, Buckyâs metal arm slammed into Pierce, sending him crashing to the ground.
The fight was brutal, savage. Buckyâs fury was unleashed in every punch, every strike. Pierce barely had time to react before Bucky was on him, his fists a blur of metal and flesh, pummeling the life out of him.
Pierceâs screams echoed through the chamber, but Bucky didnât stop. He didnât stop until Pierce was nothing but a lifeless, broken mess on the floor. Panting, his vision clouded with rage and grief, Bucky finally looked up, his eyes locking onto your still form, cradled in Steveâs arms. The sight tore at his soul, but your final command echoed in his mind.
Run.
Without another word, Bucky turned and ran, disappearing into the shadows before the Avengers could even think to stop him.
Steve didnât notice Buckyâs departure. His entire world had narrowed to youâyour lifeless body, the cold stillness of your form in his arms. He rocked back and forth slightly, his grip tightening as if he could hold onto your life, refusing to let it slip away. His chest heaved with ragged breaths, his mind reeling with disbelief and sorrow.
The other Avengers stood around him, silent and stunned, the gravity of what had just happened sinking in. They had all faced countless dangers before, but this felt different.Â
This felt final.
Steveâs voice broke the silence, a guttural cry of anguish that echoed through the chamber, filled with a depth of sorrow that none of them had ever heard from him before.Â
âY/N!â he cried out, his voice trembling, pleading with a world that seemed to have gone cold and unfeeling. âPlease, donât leave me. You canât⊠noâŠnoâŠplease.â
He cradled you closer, his tears falling unchecked, soaking into your hair. Every fiber of his being screamed against what was happening. This wasnât supposed to be how it ended. Not for her, not like this. The injustice of it tore at him, threatening to pull him apart.
But you didnât respond. Your body remained still, your face peaceful, as if you had simply gone to sleep. The life that had burned so brightly within you was gone, extinguished by the cruel machinations of those who had sought to control you. He couldnât stop the sob that tore from his throat, his anguish laid bare for all to see.Â
âIâm sorry⊠Iâm so sorryâŠâ he whispered, his voice breaking with every word.Â
The chamber seemed to grow colder, the weight of the moment pressing down on everyone. Time seemed to stand still, the world outside forgotten, as they all stood in the aftermath of a battle that had been lost in the most devastating way possible.
After what felt like an eternity, Tony finally stepped forward, his voice quiet, almost reverent. âSteveâŠâ he began, but the words caught in his throat. What could he possibly say? There was no comfort, no way to undo what had been done.
Steve didnât respond. His focus was entirely on you, his hand gently brushing a strand of hair away from your face. He couldnât comprehend a world without you in it. He didnât want to.
Finally, after a long, painful silence, Natasha spoke, her voice soft but firm. âWe need to get her out of here, Steve.â
Steve nodded numbly, but he didnât move. It took all of his strength to gather himself enough to even consider letting you go. He didnât want to let you go. The idea of it was unbearable. But he knew Natasha was right. They couldnât leave you here, not in this place, not like this.
With a deep, shuddering breath, Steve slowly stood, cradling you in his arms as if you were the most precious thing in the worldâbecause to him, you were. He turned toward the exit, his steps heavy, each one feeling like it might be his last.
Steve couldnât help but glance back one last time, as if hoping to see some sign that this wasnât realâthat you would wake up, that this nightmare would end. But there was nothing. Just the emptiness of a place that had taken so much from them.
They stepped out into the daylight, the sun glaringly bright against the backdrop of their sorrow. Steveâs grip on you tightened, and he pressed a soft kiss to your forehead, his heart breaking all over again.Â
âI love you,â he whispered, the words catching in his throat. âI always will.â
But there was no answer, no sign of life. You were gone, and the world felt infinitely colder because of it.
So they left, carrying with him a loss that would never fully heal, a wound that would forever mark him. Steve walked with his head bowed, his shoulders slumped, the light in his eyes dimmed by the grief that had taken hold of him.Â

Sweet Radio Demon Alastor x Reader
As promised, here she is -
It's inspired by Living Tombstone's song Alastor's Game!
CW: Reader is a cannibal and it's a p big part of the story so mentions and details of cannibalistic intent and murder
âĄâĄâĄ
Some people just don't belong in Hell. The structure of divine judgment must be rigged, punishing any poor soul who commits sin without realizing it. Those individuals don't belong.
Then there are those who do. Those who realize there's an afterlife and instantly come to terms with their placement. That's when all the Oh, I'm definitely going to Hell for this jokes start to bite back.
It's always easier for those who choose to be sinners to adapt to Hell's settings. The job market for porn stars and actors is extensive, and protection is almost guaranteed despite the souls owed or deals made.
But, what interested you the most, you depraved sinner you, was the loveliness of Cannibal Town. Not only was it the nicest part of Pentagram City, but you felt right at home considering your appetite when you were living.
It was immense. Some kind of craving that you could never satisfy, no matter how many callers you invited into your home and how many of them never left. You got creative, playing with recipes, spices, and cooking methods, but it was never, never, enough.
Sometimes, you'd wonder how you got to this point. You were a normal enough kid, went to school, had a nuclear home life, and you were comfortable financially, the works.
You remember it feeling like a stomach ache.
A stomach ache that brought you to tears and kept you from school some days. You almost assumed it was something every child went through until you learned what subdued the pain.
Meat.
It was the solution. You ate like a carnivore at first, then the food became increasingly rare as you aged up. Until you stumbled upon some strange forums online (There's something online for everyone, I suppose). You gave in to the cryptid suggestions. You tried rodents at first, only after thorough mental and food preparation, but fuck did it do the job. It made your body shutter and your mind hazy, momentarily melting any thoughts of guilt you might still have.
As time went on, you grew hungrier. Animals weren't cutting it.. but maybe he could.
You found him online, chatted for a while over some messenger, then discovered how much of a dirtbag he truly was. That seemed to disarm you from the whole idea.
Poor thing.
Maybe if he was kind enough, he would have been spared.
You invited him over.
As you watch him approach your door, you tussle your hair, and adjust your clothes that leave little to the imagination. With a continuous, you can do this, you can do this, you're drawn to the knocking of the door.
"Damn, babe, if I knew you actually looked like this, I would've come over sooner." He props his arm on the doorframe as he speaks.
Is.. is that supposed to be a compliment?
Your eye only twitches a bit before you cover your expression with a cute giggle. Holding your hands behind your back, you lean forward.
"Not too bad yourself, big guy. How's a movie sound?"
One thing leads to another, you're seated on your couch, and his hands are immediately on you. For someone who acts so big and tough, his touch is awkward and uncomfortable. Like he doesn't know what he's doing.. probably because he doesn't know what he's doing.
The inexperience helps.
You didn't take into account how large he was. Assuming this would go as planned, you'd be set for weeks, but the actual action of getting him down still worries you.
You're barely an hour into the movie, which you can hardly remember, before his sloppy lips are on yours, which you respond to with a grimace. He doesn't seem to take into account your reactions, grunting against your very unresponsive lips.
Disgusting.
Pig.
He places a large hand on your waist, pulling you roughly to him.
Strong.
Muscular.
You need more. You need to evaluate your prey. You place your hand on his wrist, delicately running your fingers up the entirety of his forearm, tracing and digging into each vein and muscle you can find. That continues up to his chest. Before long, you find yourself straddling him, his wide hips forcing your legs apart a decent amount. Despite his build, his composure clearly shows he's nearly at your mercy. While you're running your hands along his body continuously, occasionally kissing him or letting out fake moans to his ear, you're feeling his ever-growing length pressing into your leg.
You'd be disgusted by the sensation if you weren't planning your next move internally.
You hid weapons everywhere. If you remember correctly, there should be a knife sitting in the crevice between the couchâs armrest and the side table. You just have to reach -
"Take this off." You command with a breathy voice, tugging at his t-shirt that had some unknown stain on it. You almost regret putting so much effort into your appearance.
Oh, well. You're taking notes in the back of your mind for any future endeavors.
You guide his desperate hands to pull the shirt over his head. In one movement, you drop the shirt and take the hidden knife into your hand. You hadn't realized until just now, but -
You're shaking.
You let out a deep breath. With your arms reaching over the arm of the couch, you're essentially caging him in. Nothing looks suspicious yet. Not to him, at least.
You lean in to give him one final kiss. You aren't exactly sure why. It's not doing anything for you. Maybe some sort of sympathy is crossing your mind?
⊠You'll have to work on that.
You pull away slowly, giving yourself time to examine the state he's in. His eyes are glazed over, his breath shallow.
Now.
Do it now.
You're ready. You've studied anatomy, disarmed yourself to the idea, and prepared for the worst.
You have to do it now.
You straighten your back, the knife now visible to him. He doesn't seem to notice at first until your arms are in the air, hoping to find some momentum in the stab. With your eyes still open, you find the spot where it should end this without too much pain for either party. You dive as fast as you can, but you made a fatal error.
You shut your eyes.
The moment was immediately silenced by the tension of his hand fisting the blade of the knife. He caught it. He stopped it just before it could pierce his chest, only bleeding from his palm. You both sit silently, in disbelief, perhaps.
A silent curse slips from your lips, and that seems to snap him back to this failure of a hook-up.
"You fucking psychopath!" He screeches. He stands, effectively throwing you off his lap as he does so. The action forces a small yelp out of you, and your grip on the knife is immediately taken from you. You stare up at him from the ground.
The tables seem to have turned. He's looking down at you, stumbling and struggling to find his grounding, all the while holding the knife. Despite this, despite his large build and his newfound advantage, he bolts for the door.
Was this better than him attacking you? Will he go to the police? You almost hope he's fragile enough to not admit he was attacked by a frail creature, or that he'll use this as a story to brag to his friends over, I escaped a psycho bitch last night.
You start cursing again. They become more frantic and louder as you follow him out. You watch him stumble off your patio and back to his car. You manage to find reality when a previous thought hits you.
You hid weapons everywhere.
A shotgun sits by your front door. It wasn't the most hidden, but in your defense, it was dark enough outside that it went unnoticed. And you're in a rural enough area that some wouldn't bat an eye at the sight of it.
With shaky hands, you pick it up, already loaded, and aim it at him. He's already in the driver's seat, but you're too exposed to let him just drive off at this point.
You didn't really know much about guns. But in an emergency such as this, it seemed like it would come in handy. So when you took your shot, you never considered the consequences of shooting bullets at a running car, especially with your poor aim.
You come to moments later, fire and pieces of metal surround you. You try to take in your surroundings, but your ears are ringing, and your senses are overwhelmed by the severe burns covering most of your body. You manage to find your home, still mostly intact. The car, on the other hand, is completely decimated.
In the corner of your eye, you think you can spot some resemblance of your date sprawled along the asphalt. With a heavy breath, which you consider might be your last, you let your head drop onto the pavement.
-
"My my, what a predicament you've got yourself into!"
A voice?
It echoes through your head. You can still only see the crackling of the fire surrounding you, and your ears still ring, but the voice seems clear as day. There's a bit of a static to it, but still it's clearnes startles you. You attempt to respond through the pain.
"W-Who-"
"Save your strength, my dear. I'll be quick since it seems you won't be with us much longer." The voice says. You can hear footsteps, a clear clicking of heels that echo in this ethereal space you find yourself. You struggle to lift your head, only catching a glimpse of the stranger kneeling in front of you.
"I'll clean up this little mess of yours, and we can discuss my repayment once you're in less of a.. scorched state. Deal?"
How could you consider the consequences? Or even comprehend his words while youâre like this? You aren't sure what he means, and you have no time to question. Your consciousness seems to be honing in on the burns.
You let out a horrific scream, clutching your arms, only intensifies the pain. If you could see the stranger, you'd see a disturbingly unphased smile.
"Help me - H-Help me! Please!" You beg and cry out, finally reaching out your hand to him.
"So? Do we have a deal?"
"Deal - Deal! Fuck- I-It hurts..!" You sob, biting your blood-dampened lip to prevent any more screams.
He takes your hand, gripping onto the raw skin of your burns. Your next scream comes out silently. You feel your vision blur before your body finally comes to terms with its seemingly sealed fate.
-
You shoot up from your bed, your face running with tears. They feel cool, running down your heated cheeks. You quickly wipe your face, leaving a wet smudge of makeup and sweat across your fingers.
Right.. make-up from the date.
You scan your bed, no man in sight. Itâs a relief to wake up in your bed alone. Shifting out from under the covers, you look to your hands, waving them in front of your eyes and running your hands across your own skin.
Smooth.
Maybe even softer than you remember previously.
Some sort of calming amenity seems to be sweeping over your body. With glazed eyes, you examine your body that should be severely burned, yet you feel nothing.
Still, in a state of shock, you rise and wrap yourself in your blanket before leaving your bedroom looking a mess. You roam your home, looking around with still-damp eyes. You feel like a tourist. Like none of this is yours.
Not anymore.
You find yourself standing by your front door, opening it without hesitation. It's a clear sunny day. The grass is just as green, if not greener, and there were flowers there that you don't recall ever planting.
Suddenly, your bare feet against the heated pavement sends a slight panic through you, as the more gruesome details of the previous night conjured in your mind.
That's why nothing looks right. You were sure your porch was blackened by the fire. The grass was a flame, and there was a car - and that man and the voice -
You approach where his car was parked, only to find a torn-up strip of rubber, assumingly from its tire.
"What the.." unable to even complete a thought, a familiar voice only brings up more questions.
"Ah, my apologies! I assure you it is quite out of character for me to miss a spot." You see a disturbingly tall figure come from behind, swooping down to pick up the rubber scrap. He examines it within his red talons, turning it back and forth. You stand dumbfounded, but he goes on anyway.
"So, what exactly caused your date to ..implode? Was he not to your liking? Too handsy? Too-"
...
You're too tired for this.
You rub the sleep from your eyes, turning on your heels and letting the blanket drag across the rugged pavement behind you as you head back inside. You almost expect some sort of resistance from him, a qwip on how rude it is to walk off in the middle of a conversation, but there is none. Maybe you just imagined that little interaction. Maybe there wasn't really anyone there, and you're still tired or still sleeping.
You open the door, and that same bright smile greets you from inside your own home.
That seems to wake you up.
Your wide eyes scan his face, then peek inside your home behind him. You turn back around to see where he previously was, and obviously there's no sign of his travels. You slowly turn back.
"May I speak now?" His voice is laced with a radio filter, and it hits your ears in the strangest way. The reality of the situation turns your exhaustion into apprehension, yet you nod your head anyway.
"I may have caught you in the midst of your disarray, but I must admit, I'm curious about what led to it." He steps aside and gestures for you to come inside. To your own house.
"H-He got the upper hand is all." You decide not to comment, moving inside sluggishly. As far as you know, this strange being has no idea of the sins you've committed. You quickly fib.
"He attacked me, actually."
"Oh, how devastating!" He lets out a saddened sigh, a hand over his heart with fake sympathy. "Now, was that before or after you attempted to drive a knife through his chest?"
With a defeated groan, you flop onto the couch.
"What are you? A sleep paralysis demon? A.. nightmare? Am I still asleep?" You grumble, running the possibilities out loud and not expecting a true answer. You actually hoped that it would all go away. That this voice in your head, this hallucination, is just that.
In your head.
"Ooh, I like the sound of that.. A nightmare~ has a nice ring to it wouldn't you say?" He stands in front of you, his hands folded formally behind his back.
"Now. Enough with the compliments. What truly happened, my dear?â When his voice suddenly turns sympathetic, you find yourself actually in need of someone to vent to.
âWell, since you're clearly just a nightmare - or.. something - â You sit up, take in a deep breath, and with its release, you reveal yourself.
All of you.
Every single animal you've killed to curb your pain, what seems to work and what doesn't, and the previous nights failure. You talk about the number of friends and family you've scared off throughout the years, everything.
âI.. was gonna eat.. himâŠâ You squeak out your final sentence. You've never really said it out loud before. And never in front of someone else. It made your own blood run cold. Not the thought of the act itself, but just sharing it aloud. your eyes stay fixed on your fidgeting hands in your lap when a loud cackle interrupts your anxiousness.
âMy word, arenât you just the cutest basket case? You're lucky to be dealing with a demon of similar tastes.â He hisses his final words, all with a sly smile. He sounds prideful in his admission. His words seem like they're meant to disarm you, and even though he essentially admitted to being a cannibalistic demon, it works.
âWell.. since we have sooo much in common-â Your voice drags, the notion of being similar to this demon feeling strange to mention out loud, â-would you.. help me? With all this..?â
Expecting another laugh, maybe some more teasing, you're met with a confusing expression. His smile is still there, unmoving, but you catch the smallest twinkle in his eye. He stands and faces away. The hope of finding an outlet for your cannibalistic intent starts to dwindle.
Your misplaced disappointment is overtaken by the flickering of lights and the soft tunes of a radio nearby, one that you recognized but were sure had been broken for decades. He turns his head unnaturally, looking over his shoulder to meet you with blackened eyes.
âI would be absolutely delighted.â
-
âLucky for you, some of your late-night delivery seemed to withstand the flames!â
You follow that transatlantic accent to your kitchen, unamused by his continuous puns and casual speech. This big scary demon friend of yours presents a commically large plate, with a very familiar carcass sitting atop.
He did nothing to make it look any less disturbing than it truly was. the skin was nearly burned off, the smell was just awful, and the shirt was somehow still recognizable through it all.
You cover your mouth in response. The fact that it doesn't smell much different than some of the other carnivorous meals youâve prepared nauseates you more than the sight of the corpse itself.
âQuite a specimen, very good choice! But, you needed tips, correct?â
All you can think of to respond is a simple nod of your head.
âThen let's get started!â With a snap of his clawed fingers, a sleek black apron covers his suit.
The next few hours were grueling, but.. fun? If you're allowed to call it that. You were given multiple pointers, and sure, they were all quite helpful, but they were in excruciating detail. What certain parts of the body you should pick or avoid was one thing, but discussing what wine pairs with what organs? It's not a conversation you ever thought you'd have.
By the time the meal looks normal, all decorated with spices in a baking pan and in the oven, you instinctively go to do dishes. As you fill the sink and start bringing things over, a little creature has you nearly tripping. You look down, seeing a strange little stitched doll carrying most of the dishes to the sink. No matter how strange it looked, you respond with a curious hum, fully desensitized to it at this point.
âHuh..â is all you can say. You take any remaining dishes and follow suit, plopping it all into the water. The little doll seems to be tugging at your leg when you try to walk off. It's holding its arms up to you, letting out little murmurs that sound restrained by the stitches across its mouth. You hesitate at first, but scoop it up in your arms and place it aside the sink. And it gets to work scrubbing away.
âDamn, you're cute, and you clean? Can I keep you?â You ask it quietly, giving it a quick pat on the head. It seems to smile.
âQuite a delightful little thing, one of my better creations, I must admit.â The response from him seems to scare the poor thing straight. It immediately lowers its head and focuses on cleaning. You scoff at the interaction between the two. if his own toy is scared of him, should you be as well? âThat being said, I simply can not part with it. My apologies.â
âOh, I was kidding. Mostly.â You reply quietly. You hear the first chuckle from him that seems genuine. No ill intent, just a joyous response to your little quip. It felt kinda.. Nice.
-
âSo, Mr. Scary Demon Man-â You clear your throat before you speak. â-why are you here, exactly? did I do something to summon you? Or-â He cocks his head to the side at the title, a little twitch to his eye.
âNot at all, my dear. I simply wanted to help you in your little endeavors, from one cannibal to another, Haha!â His tone goes back to that of a salesman. Like heâs trying to convince you heâs something heâs not.
âWell.. thank you, I guess. I don't really understand why youâd want to help me without wanting something in return, though. You don't seem like-â
â-A charitable man? I suppose thatâs fair.â He doesnât give you a chance to reply. âIf youâre so desperate to return the favor, why donât we strike a deal? Just a little one. Between friends.â
You werenât stupid. His words made it clear that this was his intention from the moment he chose to save your life. You shrunk a bit.
âSure, between friends.â You let out a sigh, your somewhat chipper attitude immediately fading. He takes no time to be empathetic.
âGood! Now, you seem to have an eye for food. This meal was ideal considering your poor execution.â You canât stop your eyes from rolling. âAnd you canât get meals quite like this where Iâm from. How about you keep providing, with my assistance, and Iâll make sure itâs prepared to the best of my abilities. In exchange for all my hard and generous work, I get half the spoils! Seems far more favorable on your end, but Iâm feeling rather generous today.â
Where heâs from? You want to question it. You want to know more about him, you want to know -
âWhatâs your name?â Your sudden questioning leaves him speechless for a moment, but heâs quick to recover his charming smile. âYou never told me.â
âWell, considering you wonât need my name if you donât agree to this little game, how about I throw that in as well? You provide the living flesh, and Iâll handle the rest. And, youâll get my name.â He stands before you, a bit too close for your comfort, as he reaches his hand out to you. âCall it a deal?â
An ominous green glow surrounds the two of you. It sends some kind of wind through your clothes and hair. His hand is especially bright, and his eyes go back to that frightening black that you experienced previously.
At the end of the day, if this is what you have to do to stifle those damned pains, it doesn't seem all that bad. You extend your hand, instinctively flinching at the seemingly impending danger. But that still doesn't stop you.
âO-Okay.. Deal.â With the touch of his palm against yours, the glow flashes, forcing your body to tense and your eyes to squeeze shut. It only lasts for a moment, though. When you open your eyes, you first examine your connected hands. His hand is huge compared to yours. From this proximity, you can truly take in how unnaturally tall he is.
Attempting to tug your hand back, his grip tightens, forcing your hand to his lips for a quick kiss to your knuckles. An outdated and surprisingly intimate action leaves you a bit flustered.
âMy name is Alastor. Itâs been a pleasure, my dear~â
-
And so, your transactional deal went on, right until your demise. You used a similar tactic to bring more meals to your doorstep, finding a handful of poor saps online. You werenât exactly sure what he meant when he offered his assistance, but when the time came, a strength took over your body that you never experienced before. There were no more shaky hands or sympathy. Your aim was always true, and it was just so easy. Any impending dangers or possible retaliations were alerted to you by a subtle whisper, a voice, coming from just behind you. It was startling at first, but quickly became a comfort.
When it came to preparing the food, which Alastor said heâd handle, youâd essentially leave your victim's remains in the kitchen and would come back to a meal ready for the oven. Sometimes, youâd leave the body as is, limp on the couch, or sprawled on the floor, only when you were too exhausted to deal with the clean-up. On nights like that, youâd wake up to a completed meal the next morning. You liked to picture him going through your home, rolling up his sleeves and wearing that apron, cleaning things up, and cooking in your kitchen how he did that first night.
That being said, you didn't normally see his physical form. There was the lent strength and whispers during your hunts, but other than that, contact seemed to nearly cease. Why was that upsetting you? You cursed yourself for being too much of a romantic - for making this seem like anything more than a delusion you conjured up to make this whole action easier for you.
And that pain? That constant hunger that was never sufficed nearly went away. In fact, youâve never felt fuller.
He did return on especially rare occasions. You never complained, and you attempted to hide your excitement when you'd catch him lurking in the corner of your eye.
Sometimes, it was to cook for you again. Despite the deal being in full swing, you would ask him to show you some of the recipes. Normally, it would just appear, looking delicious and homemade as always, yet you still pestered him to show you how to prepare some things. He always acted burdened by it, but seeing him cooking felt.. Domestic. Like, when he was cooking, he was truly in his element. It made it easy to forget what he was, which you found yourself questioning less and less. It simply didn't matter anymore.
One particular visit was late into the night. He actually woke you up from the racket, which had never happened before. Stumbling out of your bed, expecting to see police raiding your home or something worse, youâre instead met with a swaying radio demon and a shattered vase. Whenever he was around, soft music would play from your busted radio, a contrasting notion to the fumbling man in front of you now.
âAlastor?â You call out, a wave of relief hitting you and bringing the baseball bat from your hands to the floor. âWhat the hell are you doing? Itâs like.. three in the morning..â The realization of the time makes the previous adrenaline seep out of you.
âHa-ha! Isnât that an interesting concept? The Devilâs Hour. Throw some religious implications, and it drives people mad! In reality, itâs just when your feeble body is at its most vulnerable.â He rambles on, spilling the drink from his bottle as he exaggerates his actions. He walks to you as he goes on, his body still swaying. âWhen your little fragile human heart reaches its lowest speed. When waking you would cause.. distress.â He goes on, his words suddenly sounding melancholic.
âYour breathing is erratic.â He adds, staring intensely at your heaving chest. âAnd you are hot to the touch-â The back of his claws trace the apple of your cheek, where even you can feel the heat radiating from your skin. Because his voice has no filter. Youâve never heard it like that before. Youâve never heard him sound so human.
His hand traces down your face to press against your chest. Heâs feeling your heart. And itâs beating erratically.
âYour heart is fast. Are you distressed?â He leans in closer, to the point where you can smell the alcohol on his breath. âDo I make you distressed?â
In a flustered panic, you push him away. His closeness, his touch, it all threw you off guard.
âN-no, Iâm just tired. You woke me up in the middle of the night, asshole.â You cross your arms over your chest, watching him laugh and struggle to find his bearings after being shoved. With a groan, you pull him by his slender arm over to the couch. He sits down with a thud, and you sit a careful distance next to him.
âThat is what is so refreshing about you, my dear.â He lets out a dreamy sigh, and you pull the whiskey from his hand before he can break anything else. âWhy - you have no idea who youâre dealing with, I could be a powerful demon overlord,â He slurs his words. âBut, to you, Iâm just your sweet radio demon~â He sings out.
Alastor leans into you, uncharacteristically tapping your nose. You swat his hand away, forcing another loud chuckle from him. He stays leaning forward, even seated beside you, he towers over you. Your wide eyes meet his.
âEven your eyes show no sign of fear. How curious.â You stay like this a little longer. His breath still reeks of expensive whiskey, but you canât seem to tear your eyes from him. Youâre terribly focused on keeping your distance, but he doesn't seem to have the same concern.
With a sly smile, he removes his coat and flips to his back, laying his head in your lap. With his long legs crossed over each other and hanging very much off the couch, youâre almost nervous to touch him. He wasnât especially touchy, only doing so when necessary; fingers brushing against fingers, a hand on the shoulder for a mere second- why can you remember each moment so vividly? Why is it so fresh in your mind?
âAlastor, what are you doing here? Why arenât you at home? or.. wherever you are when you're not here?â Thatâs still something youâve questioned. You werenât one to pester him so insistently, wery on losing the good thing you have going on.
âUnfortunately, Iâm not sure! Be careful with your alcohol, my dear! Ha-haa!â He slurs out with a grin. âI suppose.. I prefer to be here.â
âWhat? Why? If youâre some powerful overlord, donât you have somewhere better to be getting sloshed?â You scoff, keeping your eyes away from his head that was still perched comfortably in your lap. He seems to even nuzzle into your thighs a bit, and it only flushes you more. You take an unpermitted swig of his confiscated drink.
âHm! Well, I canât exactly get meat this fresh in Hell-â He taps his chin in thought to your rhetorical question that clearly went right over his head. â-besides! Itâs not nearly as nice without you.â He sounds so matter of fact, so sure of his words. You hold your breath, suddenly reliving every moment together before this.
Youâd chat and joke around in the kitchen, but youâve really learned more about him than you thought. How he sews together those strange little creatures. And he seems so proud of them, despite their clear fear of his presence. You noticed he always puts some sort of spice in the meals he cooks, and that even if it's too much, you eat it anyway. How he simply hates getting dirty despite his occupation. He rolls up his sleeves, has that dumb apron, and uses those little toys of his to keep clean.
You loved it.
Youâve done nothing but enjoy every moment with him. You donât need to know what he is to know that.
Wait, did he say Hell?
âYouâre from Hell? Thereâs a Hell??â With a more shocked exclamation than feared, you finally look down at him. Heâs too far gone, humming along to the music, he barely hears your questions. With a clearly defeated sigh, you brush his hair from his face. He winces from the action, his smile wavering but not breaking under your touch.
âAh, I wish I knew how you survive this cozy little life.â His voice is quiet and mumbled.
You.
I can live this way because of you.
He manages to finish off the bottle with one more swig - when did he take that back?
Your thoughts begin to wander, absent-mindedly twirling strands of hair through your fingers, raking your fingers down his scalp, only to startle yourself with the sensation of animalistic ears. And theyâre twitching. Whether it be your reaction or his, it seems to force a little yelp from you, so you reel your hand away.
âI didnât mean to alarm you, darling.. Could you - or.. You can.. Continue. If youâd like.â His voice had dropped that strange filter again. You feel woozy. That whiskey you had shared, maybe it was strong. Or.. it was the middle of the night, you were sure you were just tired. You spiraled to come up with any reasonable excuse other than developing feelings for a Hellbound demon. You wonder if you-
Oh, youâre definitely going to Hell.
But, could it be something to look forward to?
Your intimate thoughts cloud your mind, leaving your hand mindlessly petting a literal demon. Your fingers combed through his hair, delicately clawing up the ears and pinching the softness at the tip of each one. Despite your thorough and elaborate massage, your mind has wandered to how a relationship with a possible hallucination of a demon would work out. But that's ridiculous, isnât it?
âAlastor, can I ask you-â your words are brought to a halt and your eyes drop. A quiet hum of satisfaction, leaving a barely conscious radio demon, whoâs head still sat in your lap. With a curse under your breath you decide you're trapped.
There was absolutely no chance of escape. What, were you supposed to wake him? What if you upset a powerful overlord demon, or whatever he claimed to be? Albeit uncomfortable, you force yourself to sleep. Enjoy it while you can, who knows if it's even real?
You didn't see him for awhile after that.
-
Alastor was a poinient man. He never missed a pick up before. So when you realized the meat you've portioned off for him was still sitting in your fridge, you start to worry. You're not exactly sure why, youâve pushed any and every intimate thought from your mind.
This is purely transactional.
Even though his portion had gone untouched for a few days.. A few weeks, if you really think about it, you already had a date set with another victim.
It went on as usual. A dumb hunk of meat thinks heâs all that until youâre straddling him. You decide to stick to what you know works; a knife to the heart.
You mapped exactly where to plant it, as he fiddles with your top, and with a raised arm, you go to claim your next victim.
There was no warning.
There was supposed to be a warning.
The next thing you know, you're pinned to the floor, your wrist being gripped so tightly you have no other option than to scream and lose your grip on the knife.
Your date took no time. No hesitation.
The last thing you see is the opposing view. A stranger straddling your body with a knife held high above his head.
It seems so quiet.
And it's awful.
Where was the warning?
If anything, you should've at least heard Alastor's voice telling you how to avoid this. You always do. A slight pang of worry hits you, but it's quickly overtaken by anger.
With a final yelp that's fueled with frustration, hurt, and a broken heart, you met your demise quickly and alone.
By the time you've come to, you're surrounded by a handful of black eyed children. You immediately scramble backward, hitting your back against a brick wall. Youâd notice your surroundings if these little scavengers werent eyeing you with an innocent curioustity. You let out a hiss, holding a hand over your eye. A streak of blackened blood comes from it, your palm thoroughly stained with it.
âYou must be new~â
âYouâre very handsome!â
âHow did you die?â
A bombard of tiny voices and questions go straight over your head, a ringing in your ears forcing your mind to go hazy.
âAlright, give âem some space, kids!â A sweet voice seems to bring you back. You look down to your seated body. Your skin is a deathly gray, and your top is stained with your own blood. Itâs still red. âDonât overwhelm the poor thing, Iâm sure theyâre quite shaken!â
Your eyes then trace up the silhouette of a vintage looking entourage, then to a sharp-toothed smile. The woman stands before you, a hand held out to you.
Her eyes are just as black and her skin is just as pale as those children that now whisper and giggle to eachother nearby.
It didnât take you long to realize your misfortune.
You died.
Youâre upset sure, but you find that youâre mostly angry. None of this wouldve happened if you- if he-
âCome on, cutie! Letâs get you cleaned up.â Her considerate smile clears your mind almost immediately. You donât hesitate accepting her assistance.
-
âHe was supposed to help me. He said he would be there for me! I died because of him..!â
A strained smile and a quick nod is the only response you get to your angered rambling. The kind face that scooped you off the streets was Rosie, one of the most powerful overlords in Hell, who just so happens to own most the souls in Cannibal town.
Lucky you.
She did exactly as she said, having her fun and playing a bit of dress up with you. It wasn't exactly your style, but there were more concerning things when it came to your appearance. Your eyes were just as black as Rosieâs. As those children who have been following you around.. In fact, most residents of cannibal town had this feature.
You really are in Hell.
Right where you belong.
Right along side people who are just like you. It almost felt.. Comfortable.
You confided in her, going on and on about some jerk of a demon who broke a promise that cost you your life. How he had been helping you in fights, saved your life a number of times, taught you how to cook, showed up drunk to simply sit in your lap, then just fucking disapeared when you needed him most. Your face was turning red, from anger or the way you gushed about him, Rosie couldnât quite decipher.
What wasnât comfortable was the period clothing you were put in. But according to Rosie, itâs Perfect! What a doll!
âIs Alastor. The radio demon?â She completes your sentence with a sigh, standing to tower over you and placing a hand on your shoulder. âI hate to break it to you, hun, but no oneâs seen him in quite a while.. If iâm being entirely honest with you, heâs a dear friend of mine.â You instantly tense at her words. You just went on a rant about how shitty he was, only to find out heâs disapeared with no explanation. Maybe it was a good reason. A good enough reason to leverage your own life? You arenât sure.
âI have to find him!â You finally say, as if a lightbulb switched in your head. He seemed so unattainable all these years, but now? Youâre in his house. âMiss Rosie! Can you help me? His name-â
âI canât say he didnât wrong you, but heâs a man of his word, hun.. If heâs not holding up his promises, then he might be in some real trouble.. â You hear her voice crack, yet she doesn't let her smile drop.
Another factor to consider that Alastor might have bitten more than he can chew, yet she still sympathises with you. You nearly knock the wind out of her with your arms encircling her small waist. Your head rests just at her chest. You canât see her face, but her arms are around you almost instantly.
-
As you got settled in town, you did actually use the skills that Alastor had taught you throughout your lifetime. You understood why he made your previous deal. Demon flesh was just fine, but you really needed to spice it up to be anything special. And even then, it still couldn't compare to fresh, living, meat.
You started off just making and baking your own food. Then, when one cannibalistic child asked to try some, they told their friends, who told others.
After a while, you were cooking for half the town. You had a line every morning out of your own home. Once Rosie took notice, it was time for you to make a deal.
âWhy canât I sign a contract with you? Youâve done so much for me, I trust you with my soul.â You had taken Rosie out for dinner, where you planned to discuss a potential deal. Even with you barely being in Hell for a year, you heard plenty about Extermination Day, contracts, dealing in souls, all of it. You did your research. You talked to some of the townsfolks and saw no real downside in giving your soul away. Your proposal seems to surprise her, though.
âYou still have your soul? Didnât you make a deal with Alastor?â She asks, quieting her voice when she says his name, as if just the sound of it would make you upset. It only makes your eye twitch, though, just at the thought of the whole ordeal.
âI did, but he didn't say anything about my soul.. Was he.. Supposed to take it?â You question.
âWell.. heâs made deals like that before, favors for favors, right?â You nod. âBut to go all the way to Earth just for some food? Thatâs.. Not like himâŠâ Rosie seems to be lost in thought, trying to piece together his intentions. You clear your throat, and attempt to calmly bring her back. You slide a tupperware container of lady fingers you had made just before this.
âI want a restaurant, Rosie. Iâve been keeping an eye on that abandoned shop in the town square. I can feed everyone in town if youâll let me. And.. protection, of course. Would that work?â
She opens the box with a sparkle in her black eyes, almost immediately popping one of the delicate treats to her lips. With a hum of satisfaction and a snap of her fingers, the glowing golden paper floats in front of your eyes.
âItâs a deal, darling!â
-
You could barely call it a restaurant at first, but you were elated. Rosie granted you some extra hands to make deliveries and assist in the kitchen. Everything seemed to be going your way. Your first extermination day went by quickly. For some reason, angels werenât destroying everything in town. And you and your little shop were both safe, untouched, really.
You had a steady job, loving customers, and a residency near the center of town. You were almost surprised how having a shared interest, in eating human flesh, can bring people together. And after just a few years, you had a community.
You had a family.
Something you never really though youâd have, in life or death; A home.
Things were going so well. This was supposed to be your happy ending. It had been a few years since you had signed the contract, and you still feel satisfied with your decision. You could really be yourself here.
In Cannibal Town.
In Hell.
It made you laugh sometimes, how much joy the underworld brought you.
On a say that seemed like any other, you had sold out your stock for the day early, and went on to send the rest of yout employees home, when you heard a ruckus near the gazebo.
The screech of a microphone, and a very distant agitated Susan, is all you can truly hear from where you are. You drop everything to join the crowd.
It was the princess of Hell.. You werenât one to keep up with politics or media, there was no need for you. You entertained yourself plenty just by residing in town. But, you managed to hear her blow up before being dragged away. A tall, rugged figure takes their place, ready to entertain the crowd while the Princess gathered herself.
âCome one, come all! While our little princess is collecting herself, who would appreciate a quick song, hm?â
âThere is no fucking way..â You mutter to no one but yourself.
Alastor.
He holds his hand up to his ear, waiting patiently for the adoring crowd to praise his presence before he went on. You knew Rosie was a friend of his, he was a cannibal afterall, but for the entire town to love him just as much? Including Susan?
Itâs absurd.
He went on to perform some showtune, one that sounded familiar to you. The crowd excitedly surrounds the pavilion, dragging you nearly to the front. You held a look of disgust. A look of betrayal.
You didnt want to see him, you told yourself. Things were perfect as is, you felt no need to repair a relationship with your imaginary friend you conjured up while alive.
Although, you never thought you had to. He had been gone for years, he nearly became just a passing thought.
An unreasonable part of you stayed put. A part of you wants him to see you and recognize you, to remember what he had forgotten. You stood with your arms crossed, your heart beating rapidly just at the sight of him.
He looks entirely the same, completely unphased. Youâve changed so much visually, and youâre happier now. Bolder. Youâre not shying down now.
He catches your eyes.
The music screeches to a halt, sounding like a record player needle dragging across the disc. Youâre holding back a smile, almost proud that you were able to stop him in his tracks. This had to be the first time heâs thought of you in over seven years.
And stops singing.
Lucky for him, the princess is finally ready to make her own point. You stick around, not exactly paying attention to her lyrics. You keep your face of disdain strong, stepping away and flinching at any advance Alastor would make to reel in the crowd. He seems to distract himself just fine until Charlie whisks away the crowd. Again, you're firmly planted in your spot.
Alastor turns to you, much more apparent of who heâs dealing with now that you stand alone from the crowd. His ears are flat against his head, and his smile is turned at the corners. His eyes seem to dart back and forth as if heâs deciding whether or not to stay. To be with you.
Oh, heâs nervous.
Youâve never seen him nervous before. It feels good. Youâre making the almighty Radio Demon nervous. You smile just slightly. But not a smile between old friends, but a smile in response to his realization that he fucked up.
Despite your delay, Alastor continues on with the rest of the parade. Your body immediately lost all tension once he leaves.
-
âWell, well! I knew I recognized that menu. I was ready to tear apart some poor sinner for using my recipes.â A familiar, antagonizing voice echoes throughout your little empty shop.
You turn on your heels, almost startled by the sudden intrusion.
Almost.
But, you'd be lying if you said you weren't hoping for it.
Just a little.
Of course, he'd come back. Maybe to make another lowly deal. Or to get you to do more menial tasks for him, to flaunt his power and authority.
âYeah, well.. when you've been left for dead, and all you have is your skills, you do what you have to, to survive.â You snap, turning your back to him to continue wiping off an already spotless counter. âPlus, it never hurts to marginalize.â
âI've actually tried some of your food here.. Hm! And I hadn't the slightest idea who prepared such a meal. You've gotten better, I'll give you that! Such a small world.â He says with a nostalgic sigh. You can hear his heels clicking throughout the empty store, circling the room before eventually approaching you.
How can he speak to you like you were still.. aquitanced?
âI hope whatever kept you busy these seven years was worth my life.â You mutter. You weren't sure if you wanted him to hear that or not. Maybe if he did, he'd finally apologize or-
âOh, it was! A nice little sabbatical is exactly what I needed.â You quickly turn to see him polishing his claws against his coat and smiling quite brightly. âI will say it is a pleasure to be meeting you here! I'm glad you settled in so easily.â
âYou killed me, Alastor! You were supposed to keep me safe.. and now I'm dead! Because you disappeared without a word!â You start to scold him, finally hitting a breaking point. All he does is scoff at you.
âOh please, I didn't even take your soul. And it's not like you'd end up anywhere else if you were to perish later on.â He speaks so casually about it all.
But, you were ready to cry. To kick and scream at his arrogance.
The feeling of sharp fingers engulfing your shoulders leaves you suddenly tense and puts your murderous thoughts on hold. He's vanished from in front of you and now looms over you, his eyes meeting yours from over your shoulder.
âPlus, you seem to be quite happy here! Why don't we just call it even then, hm?â
He can not be serious.
You pull away from him, the tears welling in your eyes finally letting loose.
âAlastor, stop!â You yelp, turning to face him. âThatâs.. so unfair! You broke a promise! And you-â you hold your finger out to scold him even more, but you feel your body simply going slack. â-you hurt me.. I just.. thought that after all that time, after that night, you'd care a little more..â You look up to him, in the hopes of being met with some sort of sympathy. But his unnatural smile goes unwavering. You rub your arm awkwardly, losing your confidence as your words turn more vulnerable without your realizing.
âOh, I can feel your pain, not to worry dear. I truly meant no harm when I couldn't hold up my end of the deal.â He's smiling and drawing out his words, only setting off a sense of unease within you. You finally let out a shaky sigh.
âWith everything you've done for me.. I thought that.. you might've liked being around meâŠâ You let out, your voice running slightly ragged from the previous shouts. âI thought we were having a good time! Then after all this?â You grow an uncertain smile.
A previous sight that made you giddy before only brings you dread now. His ears are flat, his eyes struggle to meet yours. He's losing his composure.
âI wouldn't be surprised if you wanted it to happen.â You laugh through your words, your hands raking through your hair in a stressed manner. In your little pits of passion, you don't get the chance to see his wavering smile, the grimace on his face, any of it. When your words are met with silence, though, that's when you finally look up to him.
He's nervous, again.
âOh.. my-â your sentence barely starts before he attempts to cover his slip up.
âNow let's calm down, I really didn't mean for- I didn't intend-â
âIsnât there rules to this? Were you ever allowed to meddle with my life in the first place - let alone - be on Earth??â
â-God! You killed me on purpose?? Just so I could come down here to do your bitch work?â You snap, your laugh becomes delirious and your tears betray the anger you're meant to be showing.
Heâs scrambling for a witty reply, his expression finally showing his true intentions for the first time in a long while. Heâs speechless.
âIâm such an idiot.. Of course, you never cared. Bastard.â You mumble your words to the room, losing any fear of him hearing your insults.
Your vulnerability sends a strange shiver down his spine. One heâs never felt before, one that makes his chest ache and his muscles tense.
âWell - Now, let's just talk for a moment before you-â Alastor extends his hand out to your turned back, but it never reaches you. A delicate grip takes his wrist, bringing him to a full stop. He stops, unnaturally snapping his neck to see who would dare disrupt the Radio Demon himself.
His ears flatten against his head, and with a sudden disbelief in what heâs seeing, his eyes return to their normal crimson.
Rosie towers over his hunched form, her eyes stern.
âĄâĄâĄ
âAl, sweetheart, you gotta go. You're disturbing my client.â
I love when Alastor fucks up and found out
THIS IS A TWO PARTER I PROMISE
