man it unironically makes me really sad that so much pompep content is from like 2011-2014 before fandom culture got insane and mean and if the blogs of the artists aren't straight up Deleted the art is usually gone from their blogs :(((

Uff yeah, me too, anon.

And for relative newbies like me who have only been in the fandom a few years, I really feel like there's a lot of really great art that I still haven't seen. I weep to think of all that was lost in the Tumblr Purge. Fanfiction tends to weather the storms of fandom drama a little better, especially now that we have AO3, but authors can still delete their own works (and accounts).

That's why I'm so obsessed with fanwork preservation these days. In fact, I've spent this weekend going through all my collected pompep and DP art, creating and sorting folders on my computer based on artist because I had accumulated so many files (3,157) it was taking almost a full minute to open the folder. (I have 32 gigs of RAM, so it's not like I'm lacking power.)

But I bet there's twice that amount of art that I've missed or perhaps will never see. That's a really depressing thought.

Okay, last in my native California plants project. Sacred Datura, sometimes called devils trumpets. Highly toxic and hallucinogenic, but damn is it pretty. Side note, I recently got an idea that means I’ll have to revisit this series some day, whoops.
