Okay but what the fuck

Even if this is a red herring (which @eaglechica19 very graciously pointed out and i fully expect this to be true now) there was still no emotional payout in this ep whatsoever. like, the whole ep was building up to whether red would make it or not and finally when ice!liz was cracking and showing some real emotion and wanting to see him, he fucking up and left. seriously? it was like the storyline was never resolved. i know it was supposed to be a cliffhanger and everything but really? red and liz legit had one scene in the same room together. remember when each ep ended with a scene of them together? either fighting or having some emotional conversation? REmEMBer tHOsE DAyS?!?!?!?!?! how cool would that have been, huh? it literally seemed like they forgot to write the ending to this ep in their haste to launch the spin-off. how sad. it may just be my shipper goggles, and that’s fine, idc, that’s the only reason i’ve ever watched the show anyway LIZZINGTON in the hopes that LIZZINGTON might eventually get together LIZZINGTON. so having 0% to go on for how many eps straight now? is really discouraging. and maybe that’s by design. maybe they meant to squash lizzington in ep 8 with the daddybaiting. it’s just hard to really believe that because everything about this stupid show has always been so ambiguous and that was exciting until the writing got really bad, inconsistent, and really pretty lazy it seems, all in favor of tom fucking keen who is not an interesting character OR THE ORIGINAL MAIN CHARACTER OF THIS SERIES. i mean, i know my lizzington bias is showing but honestly, even when i try to look at this from a non-shipper, casual viewer standpoint, it’s still really pretty bad. idk. this is just really frustrating. at least there wasn’t any daddygate. i guess if i had to choose between daddygate and no lizzington, i’d probably choose no lizzington. it’s a hell of a lot less gag-inducing than daddygate. idk, tptb. if any of you read this, i think you done fucking up. and not just this ep. a long time ago. this isn’t the blacklist i love anymore. and i loved the blacklist with at least the possibility of lizzington. but now we got nothin. what a shame. whatever. i hope you know that no one here cares about the spin-off. we just want red and liz back. like we had in the beginning. but i guess that’s not in the cards. whatever. i’m not gonna hang around and wait for something that not coming. i.e. lizzington. whatever. if it ever becomes canon, i’ll tune back in to see that wonderful chemistry and background and characterization we saw in the first season put to good use. but for now, i guess i’m out. toodles.
