im having a schizoid moment but also i do gen think this cause ive thought this for a while now, i think im far too negative to be in fan spaces man
like it used to not matter cause nobody knew i existed but then ppl did start knowing i existed and now ccs know that i exist as well and despite my efforts to show up in tags less that doesnt change the fact that there are ppl who know who i am and see and spread my posts and if i cant post whatever i was feeling at the moment while liveblogging then i just dont see the point in liveblogging at all
#mine.txt#sorry anon i saw your ask and i didnt make this post cause of you but figured you should know: tbh none of this really matters to me lol#like i understand why you (general you) shouldnt be negative in fanspaces esp considering the ccs are also here and can see them#but damn if i can only say good things then i dont see the point in saying anything at all#like i may as well just keep it all to myself#or like say it all in a friend server since its practically the same function#except better cause at least youve got a rapport with those ppl#like sorry to be schizoid on. side.#but i just dont see the inherent appeal on liveblogging your every thought esp in public for the liveblogger themself#its one of those things where you do it cause other ppl are doing it too cause you know theyd like it as well#like i remember Explicitly saying that i did it cause i like reading other ppls thoughts#and figured other ppl would like to read my thoughts as well#but if some of my thoughts can genuinely hurt other ppl then i just dont see the point in broadcasting any of it#basically i just dont see whats in it for me and the risk of causing someone real life emotional harm#is far greater than what im willing to deal with#i might just post art tbh cause lbr thats all that really matters isnt it#to make the ccs happy to make other fans happy to make myself happy#all live reactions and analysis should stay in my head as it should be and how it shouldve been since the beginning#im still deciding on what to do tbh; unfortunately i love changing my mind a lot lol#ig we'll see once december/january arrives

(>ᴗ•) Seeing which blog you shared this from... ShadAmy.
oh! hehe, this is fun
What made you ship it?
I actually started shipping shadamy when I was really young! I kept going back and forward between shadamy and sonadow. but between all the cute fanart and fanfics, I think I mainly started shipping it cuz I liked their interactions in SA2
What are your favorite things about the ship?
their dynamic! I always liked these sort of shipps where one of them is more quiet and introverted while the other one is more outgoing and friendly. also I feel like amy would get him yknow
Is there an unpopular opinion you have on your ship?
Don't know if its considered an unpopular opinion, but I've seen some people portray shadow as jealous or overprotective and I can't really see him like that. maybe he'd overthink himself or feel anxious, but I cant really see him being possessive

Reddit shame list
Here's a list of stupid homophobic comments from r/KimetsuNoYaiba in response to OP's question about queer characters. Some of these comments come from the subreddit mods themselves. If you're part of the subreddit I'm sure you would recognize some of these comments.
tw: homophobia
I don't have such speculations :3
I couldn't care less, i just want a good story and good characters. People ruin good ideas by forcing certain things, they care more about representation than creating a GOOD character or a good story.
Lgbt characters are at their best when they DONT tell you they are lgbt characters, they are just good characters that happen to be lgbt, this is something that a lot of people are unable to understand.
It it set in early 1900's Japan, where being gay/lesbian/pan/bi was not accepted⚡
LGBT was very rare back then.⚡
And in general I much prefer no representation in fiction than poor/terrible representation for the sake of including representation.
I don't care about it at all tbh 💜
Demon slayer is set in early 1900 so back at that time it was very odd
Doesn't really bother me, especially given the time period and location it makes sense to not have different races or lgbtq+ characters.
It’s- set in the 1900’s Japan. Also Suma is Bi and Douma is hinted to be so as well but regardless, it doesn’t matter. They don’t HAVE to put characters like that in there🐍
True if they didn’t the series would just be shit on by overly woke people on twitter
It’s set in Japan…… where the Japanese are, and it’s 1900’s Japan. Where I imagine it wasn’t to fondly looked upon. Tbh it doesn’t bother me
introducing any romantic subplot by forcing lgbt relations ruins the story and is historically inaccurate for the sake of appealing to trash. theyre in a pretty secluded part of japan in the 1900s, you will not find the french
ah yes, im homophobic for being against shitty nonsensical romantic subplots which would ruin the entire story after being shoehorned in literally everything disagreeing with yalls asses are homophobic/transphobic/phobic/phophobic or whatever.
I don’t give a fuck about what labels a character a has. It’s who they are as a character that actually matters. 🦋
i dont ever really care about that sort of stuff. i only care when it seems forced
Don't think this is a series where exploring one's sexualities is a thing that the story is set up to do.
It's set in the early 90's and lgbtq came around 1990 so..well , yeah you get it
I don't really care 🦋
This is from a subreddit that has a semi-sexualized picture of Nezuko as their main picture. The members including the mods sexualize the female and male characters on the daily but when someone makes a post about the possibility of queer characters and ships in Demon Slayer suddenly it's 'too much'.
The hypocrisy is really hypocrisying.

tbh this is why i cant really ever see wilbur as in his late thirties/forties. like if i know ccwilbur himself said so, and that its a widely accepted thing in this fandom, and like i dont have a problem with it because i can definitely understand why people would interpret it that way but i just cannot make myself see him that old
like yeah he spent thirteen years in limbo but were those really years? did he actually Live thirteen years? it was just six months for everyone else and really all he did was just. exist. in a void. he doesn't have the maturity an actual middle aged adult would have, in lots of ways he still acts a lot like he's in his mid-late twenties.
everyone else changed and grew during the time he was gone and ironically, while he's the one who supposedly had over a decade to grow during that time while others had months, it feels like he's the one who's stuck the most at the age he was on november 16th
and i think it's especially evident in how he contrasts other characters, like when you see ctntduo do you think "oh yeah thats a 22 year old and a 40+ year old" ?? like obviously age isnt the only or most important determinator in a relationship, but it's clear when you see them interact that they're on a much more equal footing in terms of life experience than they would with that age gap.
but also i get the appeal of scruffy pathetic man in his forties. im not opposed to dilf cwilbur let that be said. in fact i am very for it

Mike's Media Medley; September and October 2024
so it turns out having 3 jobs and being a part time student means i dont wanna do anything ever so this will be kind of a lightning round in which i just state some brief thoughts and give a score on all the things i experienced for the very first time in september and october 2024.
Movies (2024 releases): Blink Twice, My Old Ass, Transformers One, Saturday Night, The Wild Robot
Movies (non-2024 releases): Rear Window (1954), In The Heat of the Night (1967), Tár (2022)
Video games: Touhou Mystia's Izakaya (2021), Cult of the Lamb (2022), Sonic x Shadow Generations, Balatro, and Mouthwashing (2024)
Blink Twice
Tumblr media
this is zoe kravitz's directorial debut and im gonna be honest this kind of slayed. i saw some people complain about how long the build up goes but i think the build up makes the twist work even better. speaking of the twist PLEASE take the warning at the beginning of the movie very seriously.
really enjoyed it and might watch it a second time to see if i can pick up new details but i think seeing it two times will exhaust its appeal to me, i think that's like the max i can enjoy it. really good movie but it hinges on the twist.
btw the title card popping up EXTREMELY briefly during a camera flash? 10/10 no notes
77.5/100
In The Heat of the Night (1967)
Tumblr media
i think this movie is like, Fine. definitely a solid movie with good performances. i think the cultural context it was made in elevates it and i understand how BOLD this movie would've been back in the 60s (especially when sidney poitier slaps a white man) but as far as like. police procedurals/mystery solving etc goes its not my favorite but that's not necessarily the point.
decent watch, made better with the cultural context of its time
65/100
My Old Ass
Tumblr media
this movie was ALRIGHT and i barely remember anything about it. i didn't hate it i don't think. i didn't love it. i think only one moment made me truly laugh and i can't even remember what that moment was.
40/100 on the basis of me liking it i.e it didnt piss me off like some other movies ive watched but maybe the score should be lower because i dont remember a thing about it idk
Rear Window (1954)
Tumblr media
i meant to watch this in theaters for its 70th anniversary but i had to work both days it was showing so i rented it from my local library. this is my first hitchcock film and i thought it was REALLY good, definitely way better than i was expecting based on plot synopsis alone but that just shows i was a fool sorry for doubting alfred hitchcock
that being said watching old movies rly makes you notice how many young women get paired up with men twice their age and its narsty and i wanted the mc to die for most of the movie. im only half kidding. didn't care so much for the personal drama side between crusty ass man and his girl tbh
incredibly good suspense. might watch it again but idk if i would like it as much on repeat viewings
80/100
Saturday Night
Tumblr media
i couldnt understand a word anyone was saying in this movie because of weird sound mixing and how intrusive the music was especially at the beginning which feels rly uh bad considering how talky this movie is.
wish i could give it a higher score but alas i didnt hear 75% of the plot or jokes which SUCKS because I AM RACHEL SENNOTTS BIGGEST SHOOTERRRRRR
40/100
Tár (2022)
i was kinda bored by this. i got the point i just got bored. i dont rly remember much except thinking it was incredibly funny she got punished by the narrative into orchestrating video game concerts
technically very well made and cate is obviously putting her pussy into this it was just not for me.
45/100
Transformers One
Tumblr media
now this is what im fucking talking about
i didnt think i remembered much about transformers but i watched this w my mom and the whole time we were going omg starscream omg soundwave omg i am optimus prime yassssss
choreography is fucking epic. jokes landed for me 75% of the time. but the obvious highlights are the character development and backstories for optimus and megatron. this movie was epic and you should watch it for free on your favorite pirate website because fuck paramount lives and SHOUT OUT TO BRIAN TYREE HENRY OF LEMON FAME WHO HASNT MISSED YET IM GONNA WATCH ATLANTA ONE DAY KING I PROMISE
85/100
The Wild Robot
gorgeous movie. lupita fucking killed it. cried at the end. dont think i would rewatch it much but i greatly enjoyed it. no notes go watch it
85/100
viddy games
Balatro (2024)
Tumblr media
girl help
Cult of the Lamb (2022)
Tumblr media
ADORABLE art style, lots of mechanics but not necessarily very in depth. the perks just feel kinda eh but i love the aesthetic and the music. also usually not big on things with religious themes but i let this one slide cuz its a cult doing. bad cult things LOL. also i love my little guys
Mouthwashing (2024)
Tumblr media
theres literally so much i want to say about mouthwashing but what can i say that hasnt been said already...ill save it for my end of the year review because it is DEFINITELY making my top 7 unless these final 6ish weeks of the year are full of fucking bangers
Sonic x Shadow Generations (2024)
ok so i never played the og sonic generations much, i rented it on redbox once and my brother rented batman arkham city at the same time and we had one xbox so i barely played that thing before we had to return it becuz his stupid ass hogged it all weekend and im not bitter about this still at ALLLLLLLL but god i fucking love shadow the hedgehog so much hes truly the little guy ever
Touhou Mystia's Izayaka (2022)
Tumblr media
so i haven't sunk a WHOLE lot of hours into this game because i keep getting distracted by other things but i think its VERY cute and chill and pretty fun and i might be tempted into the touhou project dark side maybe

himiko and kirumi is such a rare pair for me that i love, kirumi helping with himikos depression and himiko feeling bad that she does so much for her that she starts doing more things to help lighten kirumi's load but doesnt undermine her as a maid and just goes "oh wow a bunch of mystical elves cleaned the dishes with their magic!" just a lot of gestures of meaning well of just wanting to help that dont also undermine kirumi's role as a maid because himiko understands embracing roles and as a fantasy nerd im sure she's seen a lot of fantasy maids in media and knows how that trope kinda goes. Like maybe getting her a coffee while kirumi's cleaning early in the morning and declaring that she used her mana to make her a top of the notch stamina potion
i could easily see them having tea as himiko develops a fantasy backstory for kirumi and kirumi is pretending to be a bit ambivalent but is actually interested in the darker fantasy twists himiko puts in to appeal to kirumi's goth side and asking questions. i could also see kirumi having a bit of fun playing along because being a dark fantasy maid doesnt undermine her being a maid and her desire to help so she'll just smile and be like "as you wish" as himiko says kirumis going to feed kokichi to a dragon or whatever. Plus having someone engage Himiko's creativity without treating it like some super cute precious thing and instead just, engaging with it more on himikos level i think would be really good at getting himiko to open up
The ship sounds really cute tbh, Himiko would totally encourage Kirumi into the whole larping gig while she worked to make her job less stressful

not the male ro anon (obv), but it feels always kind of strange to me when people ask for more or like even gender distribution in ro? like ik its bcs im a funky aroace, but first of all, the romance is a feauture not the main selling point. if there's no ro that appeals to you, the story (should) and their friendships can. like yeah, i also scroll down to the ro list and check everyone out, but if no ones my personal taste, im still playing the game if the premise and plot sound cool. like your writing is more than just the romance points. (maybe im a bit bitter on this topic bcs i deal/t with romance being the main and only point in every media ever, so take my opinion with a grain of salt.)
and you also dont have to stick to your taste. am i into women? no but i can make a character who is and i can still enjoy the romance of it. ik customization is a really massive part of if games, but it also offers the means to explore outside of your own identity. i think thats a big part of flavor texts too, seeing the small differences and how it changes the experience between different types of people.
and speaking from a coders perspective, maybe im just lazy (laziness is a lie and doesnt exist), but having to code the different pronouns and maybe even gender specific flavour text for gender selectable RO can be kinda annoying at times ngl. and i can absolutely understand why writers dont want to add gender selectable ro options because theres a lot of important differences in how people are brought up as, and the amount it could change someones character can be massive, we're talking like straight up two (or more) different people, just for one selection in an RO. and sometimes offering gender selection just doesnt make sense for the romance or the plot. not only does teddys sexuality but also gender play into his romance and character. it would not have the same meaning if we were allowed to change his gender.
and thats just like 3 points i personally can think of. and personally, genuinely, obviously no hate to the anon, i understand if its just a frustration of an perceived "imbalance" in ro, but authors have many reasons why they chose to offer the ro that they do, to make them gender selectable or not. and speaking from a readers perspective, sometimes we do feel entitled to ro, options and flavor, that the author knows wont happen. that doesnt make us bad readers, or authors bad writers and coders, its just something we have to remind ourselves of. "theres probably a reason for it".
I spent a bit of time considering which ROs could even have been switchable and I ultimately came up with Wil, Alistair, and CG. And with CG that would mean changing some of her background and tbh I kind of like Alistair being a guy and a more 'nurturing' type of character.
So yeah. idk. With Wil I felt like the opportunity was there to make them switchable and I decided to give it a shot since it'd be something I hadn't tried before (and let me include a character who potentially has neopronouns. but M!Wil was always gonna be a thing.
and agree that pronoun code is a pain in the butt.

as someone who used to be huge bts fan and biased jimin and jk to now really only caring and being excited about jimin and his art feels so horrible to me tbh but i cant help it jungkook especially made me so dissapointed in this second chapter and i lost so much affection for him. i feel like he lost his appeal to me. Jimin however blew me away smf was just beyond amazing and then face and lc with all the art and heart in it ppl making all kinds of theories connecting him to poems, movies, queer ppl and writting essays about his work. I miss that i miss feeling of excitement and love like that with all 7 of them but jimin just seems to have stolen all my affection. i dont wanna be a solo stan tbh but i feel like i will never like bts as i used to.
Your line of thinking is so categorical, which is something very common when we're operating within a fandom. You mentioned lost affection, which indicates why you're feeling like this. It's the emotional involvement that makes us so involved and to feel so strongly about everything they do. And it can be something positive, like you said about Jimin, or something more negative, like your feelings towards Jungkook right now. I think it's easier for us to navigate these conversations once we acknowledge our position and we understand and admit were we're coming from. For example, I know that almost everything of Jimin's work is elevated and given extra importance in my mind because I like him. It doesn't mean that it's false or I made it all in my head, but if I only heard of him vaguely and looked through some of his work, I'd probably say at first "cool dude, he's interesting". And maybe if I was in the mood, I'd look it up more. It's the same as Jungkook fans now defending/celebrating every step of his career in Chapter 2 and they do that just like any other fan of an artist who is deep into a parasocial relationship. (Also, let's no hide or say only a category of fans are like that. Most of us are and we manifest in various ways).
If you want to label yourself as a solo stan, fine by me. Categories can make life easier, but they also limit not just us, but also those we are interested in or we don't really like. To me, this position is not one I would choose and I see the damage. Being so much involved in fandom, from the position of a solo stan, or a particular shipper/supporter or ot7/whatever else there is, can make us obtuse sometimes and more often than not, really mean in an environment in which online bullying is now acceptable. I see what JK solos say about Jimin and I see what Jimin solos say about Jungkook. It's horrible. Not only that, it's predictable because what they say is what is being transmitted throughout their own communities. It's like learning a script, especially when it comes to insults. And one has to be categorical and hateful. Not critical, because that would imply nuance and we know how no one cares about that.
I'm not enjoying the music Jungkook has been putting out in Chapter 2. I'm not enjoying how it's promoted. But to go from there and change my entire opinion seems too dramatic for me. He's not this horrible guy that he's being painted at. Just listen to him talk, watch his wlives. He's still a dork and he seems genuinely nice. I can live with all these thoughts in my head. Like I said, emotional involvement makes us go crazy, but in my case, previous experience with other creative people and celebrities is influencing the way I see things. I have favorite directors/actors that have some films that I consider really bad and so far from some of their earlier good stuff. But the world doesn't end there. It's ok. It's either a phase or they'll go down the hill, but there's still films that I like or I enjoy their way of looking at the world through their art. I like stuff from people I find displeasing, but I can put that aside and only look at the object.
It's the same with Jungkook for me. And if I don't like something, I will not waste my time trying to find excuses for it or defend it just because I like the person.
Just now I saw that clip of Bang PD talking about JK and it confirmed what others and I've been saying since Seven was released. This was Scooter's work, just as 3D and the other songs that will be released on the album. Jungkook in Chapter 2 musically and Golden are now the result of the partnership between Hybe and Hybe America. And it seems that the strategy is to focus on collabs to bring more attention to it, let Scooter gather all the songs and basically set the tone for everything and deliver a recipe for success. Do I wish Jungkook would let himself be convinced to put out a music album by other sort of people and not Bang & Scooter? Yes. But it was his decision and I can only look at the results and say that it's not for me. But I'm talking about it because I have an interest in Jungkook and because I have the right to say it, just like everyone on the internet.
I'm perfectly fine with all of these contradictions, while still expressing some of my frustrations. I won't expect from Jungkook something similar to what Jimin does because artistically they seem to not have that much in common right now, separately. It doesn't mean that I don't consider Jimin's work to have more artistic value. It has and it's something that I'm interested in and to which I pay attention to.
And sometimes, pop music is just pop music and we can simply enjoy it. Theoretically, that's Jungkook's path right now, but given how it came to fruition, the message it sends, knowing what Jungkook is capable of in terms of producing/writing lyrics, then it is disappointing to me. And so be it.

Leí en una pregunta que aprendiste a animar de forma autodidacta. Yo quiero aprender también y quiero saber cómo fue tu experiencia. ¿Que libros recomiendas? ¿Que herramientas usadas cuando aprendías?
im going to respond in english because this might help others too. also i should let you know, i can only give you tips for doing hand drawn, frame by frame, 2d animation. i really dont have the faintest clue how to do puppet rigging, interpolation, or 3d modelling at all. that is just not the branch of the skill tree i chose to specialize in.
my history
i started animating when i was 6 by reading a children's magazine that promised me to teach me how to do cartoons "like the ones you see on tv". it taught me how to make small animations with just power point and ms paint. (it also taught me to never ever trust something that sounds too good to be true and is sold to everyone for cheap).
much much later, when i was around 15, after i got a proper tablet to draw digitally, i figured how to use photoshop to animate mainly by fucking around with the program and checking some tutorials on the internet.
then when i was 19 i actually bought a simple book called "the animator's handbook" by tony white, where i was able to learn the basics of ease in and out, curves, overlapping animation, follow through, anticipation, line of action, etc. that is when i started properly learning how to animate the correct way.
i tried to learn how to animate on flash by following the video tutorial series by harry partridge, and that gave me a few basic pointers but at the time i had a really really really shitty genius tablet that kept breaking all the fucking time and also the drawing tools in flash were extremely limited and i didnt like how it vectorized your lines, making it so that you never had full control of how the final drawing was going to look, so i ditchad that rather quickly.
for the longest time i kept using photoshop to animate, it wasnt until i was 26 that i moved on to clip studio paint, got a simple wacom intuos and started using "the animator's survival kit" by richard williams as a guide.
begginer's advice
before we get deeply into it i would suggest you get some passing skill at drawing. many people say that you dont need to be a good artist to be an animator and while its true that you dont have to be the greatest artist that ever lived or have a super developed style or anything, having some basic training will be a powerful multiplier to your animation skills. although in fact you dont need to be that great an illustrator, what you really want to be is a draftsman. that is to say someone with the pulse, the muscle memory and the eye to replicate a drawing, do straight lines and clean curves. esentially is more important that you can do the exact same drawing a thousand times and rotate it and move it around the page keeping proportions than you need to draw beautifully. also you NEED to know anatomy. in order to be good at depicting the human body moving you have to have a good understanding of how the body is put together in the first place.
so yeah, get the animator's survival guide by richard williams, that is step one. im not being any kind of radical by suggesting that, is like recomending the human figure for all its worth by andrew loomis. you gt that book and its going to explain to you all of the most basic rules, mechanisms and techniques to get to animating. there is going to be a lot of outdated advice there about animating on paper with the old tools of the trade on an animation studio. a lot of it is superfluous now with digital tools tbh, but the fundamentals of actually creating sequential images are still rock solid.
i would also recomend walt disney's "the illusion of life" which is centered more on the overall general rules for good appealing animated character without getting too bogged down into the actual intricacies of animation.
and as always, you have the entire accumulated knowledge of generations upon generations of humans called "the internet". there are a million guides and tutorials online that are eager to teach you all the good fndamentals and techniques you need to get started, dont be afraid to consult time and tme again for any doubt, i still do that myself!
now as for the tools.
you want a tablet, any basic nice tablet will do. you dont need the latest cintq or whatever in order to do this, im doing well enough with my little black intuos. you could also do it on an ipad or you could even do it on your phone.
then for software, there are a million options, opentoons, toonboom, procreate, flash, etc. again, i use clip studio paint. its basic but its powerful, it has really good illustrating capacity and its a good introductory tool. each software has its own use peculiarities but once again there are a thousand tutorials online explaining each one.
i have all this, now what?
start small. the books i suggested will throw a million bouncing balls and sacs of flour and rotating cubes and people walking and you should do all of those, for sure. but also you are doing this because here are things you want to express! you want to draw the fun shit! the anime girls and the sexy furries!
start with a single character you like turning their head. that is a good begginers exercise. or maybe try a simple idle animation for a videogame sprite, just someone bouncing in place. after that you can start tackling more ambitious stuff
jesus there is so much more i could explain right now, how to plan for a project, how to manage your workspace, how to set up a pipeline, going from script to thumbnails to storyboard to keying to inbetweening to editing and etc. camera framing, composition, timing, writing and so much more! but i think this is a good place to stop at
dont hesitate to come back to me if you have any more questions

So …. Okay hear me out, there’s something about the transformers fandom that’s been confusing me, it’s about Megatron, and I thought I’d ask you, another man loving man, if I’m crazy or not.
Why do people keep calling Megatron she/her? And a wife? I’m so goddamn confused why???? Why???? I’m going mad, what’s happening?
GREAT QUESTION OP !! as someone whos pretty new to the transformers fandom in its entirity, seeing megatron being depicted with a femme identity was pretty confusing to me as well but when i started seeing how people expanded on the concept with gender identities with megatron and cybertronians as a whole (who are typically / usually masc) by making megs femme in the sense with identity, its kinda neat !! seemingly how the majority of the cast are dudes LOL, i especially love the headcanons of megatron still being completely the same but having she / her pronouns its all really based on how people see megs, gender is still just gender, and its even less of a concern to a 40ft tall alien robot, plus, megatron being presented as femme while still being an unruly warlord hits different, there isnt much of that kind of presentation in tf media- (also, let the sapphics / lesbians cook !!!) and the wife thing, anybot could be a wife if they try hard enough tbh even the guys so there are my thoughts abt it anon !! dont take my word for it, its just something that IVE noticed about w people preferring megs to be femme, i dont really understand it fully i love dudes way too much to understand BUT ! i understand the appeal

hello! I've been thinking about starting to leave image IDs on posts I reblog that don't have one yet but I'm not really sure what the best way to do it is. I've seen a ton of different formats. I've seen you talk about it so I guess I wanted to ask what is format that you prefer? I also have a question.. about describing art. most if not all described art I've seen has just been a very plain description of what's depicted, but there's no mention about the vibe, the style,.. I feel like if I lost my vision and became dependent on image IDs I'd still want to have info about how the art was laid out, if the lines are messy, if it's cell shaded or painterly, etc
simply "Digital art of a person doing a thing" just seems.. idk. it does absolutely nothing to actually describe what it looks like. to me. I feel like people who depend on these IDs deserve a little more than that? I guess I wanted to ask your opinion on this
i dont think i totally know what u mean specifically what format i prefer tbh? i prefer write mine in this format: [ID: Description goes here. End ID.] i dont write "image ID" because ID means image description, so id be writing "image image description." most people who need descriptions will recognize "ID" so theres not really a huge need to write out "image description" unless u just really want to
a lot of description styles are honestly pretty subjective! how much a person describes, especially if described by someone who struggles with language and visual processing, is largely dependent on their ability to describe what theyre seeing and the energy they have to write it
what a person prefers in a description is pretty subjective as well! ive met people who prefer descriptions as To The Point as possible, and i know some who prefer more descriptive and flowery ones. its not really possible to appeal to everyones needs, so in turn it means that how u describe something is ultimately up to ur discretion.
i dont describe details about my art like style and whatnot because i dont find it immediately relevant to what i trying to portray, if that gives u any insight. i dont find my style very important in regards to what else im trying to show people, like my characters personality and clothes, and i dont like making my descriptions lengthy because it can make them difficult to sit through and sometimes getting wordy with it makes it harder to understand
generally, there is a balance to be kept, but its also up to ur discretion to describe what u feel is important and relevant in a piece. if u think the tone and style is important and relevant, include it!
ultimately though, just about any description is better than none. no ones single description will be perfect for everyone who needs one, but its still making it more accessible than it was before

i can’t really speak for other people but whenever i think of ur art or see ur art on my tl i can only think of cas. like, i don’t think of u as ‘oh that one bg3 gortash x oc artist!’ to me ur the creator of casim! like i eat up every crumb of lore u offer of his SRSLY. i have truly never ever seen art like urs, what got me hooked to ur stuff in the first place was that portrait u did of cas with the bloody bhaal handprint, & Then i stumbled across the stuff with gortash. n listen, gortash is one of my favorites in the game, but (at least for me & imo) when u create an entirely new character & ship them with a canon one, that canon character kinda becomes ur own in a way. like the gortash you draw with cas is very in character, dont get me wrong, but at the same time he’s a little different from the game, & i like both gortash within gortcas And bg3 gortash. like i said, can’t really speak for anyone else, but ur art is so incredibly unique, and when i see it or think about it, i just think of you as an artist, not some rando bg3 fanartist i follow. ur art means a lot more than that to me, & probably a lot of ur other followers
which i dont understand the people that are like ‘i didnt know cas was ur oc i thought he was in the game’ because i have NEVERRRR seen that commented on anyone else’s ocs. ever 😭 cas is 100% gorgeous, and fits well into the realm of bg3, but no shit??? thats kinda the point??? like what was truly expected when commenting that
anyway. yeah, ur art is beautiful, & even if i am just one person telling u that ur art means way more to me than some random bg3 fanart that i could find anywhere, i hope it makes u feel a tiny bit better all the same <3
thank you so much too for taking the time to tell me this, I‘m honestly a little overwhelmed (not negatively!) since I really didn‘t expect people to like or let alone be attached to Cas or Gortcas this way, it means so much to me tbh🥺
I‘ve also realized honestly that I kinda glossed over the art aspect in the whole thing until I read your message? I suppose because I‘ve never really considered my art to be super unique style-wise or anything so I more or less just see it as a way to try and show something about the characters and attempt to tell a story. It‘s not that I hate my art it‘s more that it didn‘t occur to me that my art or style might play a part in it too, if that makes sense? Anyways yapping sorry, I just wanted to say thank you so much and I‘m glad that my art and stuff appeals to you this much💜💜

more discourse, sorry! this just seems like the best place to talk about this tbh
tldr; flower husbands are overrated and a lot of really cool character dynamics and relationships are overlooked because of that.
why are flower husbands such a big deal? like i can understand a small corner of the fandom dedicated to debating if their marriage is healthy or not but like. why do so many people care? it's not that unique. they refer to each other as husbands and scott's kinda a bitch and then jimmy dies and scott is sad for a little while. it just feels weird that it's one of the most popular ships in the fandom. there are so many cool dynamics with scott i don't see talked about! dl!scott and dl!cleo for example. afaik they dont even have a ship/duo name so i usually just refer to them as "a queerplatonic relationship based on mutual hatred". that's an amazing dynamic that needs to be explored more. and like. on jimmy's side. the ranchers. if you want a cute fluffy relationship the ranchers are overlooked far too often. they're not even that unpopular of a ship! but in comparison to the flower husbands they are! oh and gaslight gatekeep girlboss. love them, they don't get takes about enough. and the coral kids are canonically in a qpr this doesn't get discussed enough.
Hmm is ranchers overlooked...? I can understand non multishippers not wanting to switch over to it if they don't see a problem with FH to begin which is totally fair imo. For the most part I agree with you though. I was writing a bunch of paragraphs but instead I'll just say, I happen to bring FH up a lot because of how much opinions on it differ, and I'm in the minority to call it toxic etc (obligatory: toxic doesn't equate to nuanceless "bad") but it's absolutely integral to both of their characters' growths as I see it. Analysing either of their characters brings FH back into question again and again due to its lingering effect on both of them, especially Jimmy, and he's the character I enjoy delving into the most. I think most Scott dynamics have gotten decent attention (I myself, would love to see more on Scott and Gem though) but FH is definitely the most popular. It also has a lot of history outside of traffic, Empires s1 especially, and I absolutely understand the appeal and how people would find it a cute, problem-less ship, so I'm not surprised by its popularity. Some dynamics are also very reliant on FH as a driving factor to me, like Pearl and Jimmy
