i've reread the outsiders book 2 times and the movie 3 times and i only now just realized johnny wasn't lying when he said he was sixteen at the drive-in 😭😭

#vanny shenanigans #theres some line abt when johnny getting jumped and pb says 'he was sixteen then' implying that he'd be older now in the story #i thought that was a continuity error or something but when put into the context of the book being pb's english essay i guess it was just #him stating his age?? i dont know atp #and tbf that line is very hard to miss but like./ dude. how'd i only put the pieces together now
