I love how some people are surprised about how skirk looks like jingliu forgetting the fact that hoyoverse has always had a thing for taking their characters from other games and slightly changing their designs lol

her character depth w her internal conflict of rukkhadevata isnt gone though..? nahida says she feels like shes missing something important in one of her story quests. nahida has gone her whole life being undermined by her people because they compared her to a standard they instinctively knew she could never meet because of how idolized it was. teyvat forgetting rukkhadevata doesnt erase that, merely shapes it so that the standard they were holding nahida to didnt have a name. and it works w the revelation that nahida is just a part of rukkhadevata!!!!! its a reclamation of self in a way. btw this also furthers her as a foil to scaramouche hence the inversion of gensis quest which is fucking important because its a display of both her own wisdom through unconventional means (the story books) and her kindness.

her being physically a child is actually incredibly important lol. the subversion of expectations of wisdom being both what the audience and the sages felt, children being easily manipulated and controlled and undermined, her fairy tale story in inversion of genesis and that linking back to her body's age and just the concept of the world tree itself. AND if we're talking about her connections to hi3, it connects back to theresa's arc (theresa being the variant she is apart of) since theresa was a clone who's body could only age to a 13 year olds and was constantly undermined and controlled by both her grandfather and the opponents around her. a large part of theresa and hi3's amber's arc during the kolonsten chapter deals with them moving past the legacy of the woman theyre both clones of as they reckon with the aftermath of otto's death. this conflict is mainly on amber since theresa has honestly become her own person away from otto (the only thing that kept connecting her to kallen). both theresa and nahida are about surpassing expectations by destroying them completely.

we are not voting a whitewashed toddler whose any semblance of good writting got whiped out by the samsara . all of her character depth of her being hated by her people bc shes not rukkhadevatta just gone by the deux ex machina tree just to turn her into a toddler whose only job is to be cute and say smart things sometimes
