"Tae?" Jimin asks. "You know how a lot of people like puppies but not everyone wants a snake?"

"Yeah." Taehyung nods carefully. "People are dumb."

"I just- if you ever found someone who really wanted a puppy but was afraid of snakes..."

Taehyung doesn’t let him continue. "Don't even finish that sentence. I'm going nowhere without you."

" But it would give you a better chance," Jimin argues, even as he shivers with cold. They've been sleeping outside for a long time now and the weather is getting colder and there’s no way. No way.

"And it would give you a worse one," Taehyung says as he wraps his arms around his cold blooded friend. "I can’t leave you alone."

"You should. I'm holding you back." Despite his words, Jimin still cuddles closer to him.

"Min-ah, I'm not gonna leave you. I'm not. It's not gonna happen, so stop," Tae speaks a little harsher, hoping it’s enough.

It is, for a moment. Jimin puts his head on his shoulder and then he sighs. "People don’t like snakes."

"Some do. We'll find them," Tae promises.
