2.) Top 5 on your bias list?
B.A.P - JONGUP
MONSTA X - I.M
VIXX - N
BTS - J-HOPE
EXO - SUHO
3.) Ult Bias group and why you love them?
B.A.P
They were the second kpop group I ever heard and Skydive had me shook. So then I checked all their other songs and it took me about three to realize that they’re The Ones. They don’t ever shy away from the difficult, they’ll sing about what’s wrong in the world but at the same time their message is not of despair but of strength. It’s a continuous encouragement to never ever give up on myself and my aspirations, and to change the world by reaching for the stars. I carry it with me now and I cherish it, and remind myself of it when life gets tough.
And then they turn around and show themselves to be the sweetest dorks to walk this earth. Their shenanigans never fail to make me smile, even on the worst days.
4.) Ult Bias and why you love them?
JONGUP
I spent a lot of time thinking of how to call what drew me to him (after I got over the shock of his Skydive snake act and got to know the boys) and I finally got it. To quote my own fanfic, it’s his unapologetic individuality. People call him 4D but it’s all because he just doesn’t give a single heck. He does his thing and he does it well (holy heavens does he do it well, look at all his solos, look at them) and that’s what counts. I’m a shy, quiet person and I saw myself in his variety appearances but then I realized that he’s not just shy, he’s unflappable. Gotta let my members smear my face with makeup? Guess that’s what’s happening, chill. His poker face is legendary, his dancing and voice are out of this world and he never stops, always reaches higher and further while at the same time remembering to chill and take care of himself and his members. He’s got this balance that I hope I can keep as well.
And look, he just released Annoying in which he basically tells people to mind their own business and make it fun instead of judging others and to let others (him) live, how powerful is that.
He’s comfortably himself and it’s beautiful and inspiring.

Personality description:
Part of him still lives in the predatory world that shaped him - it is either kill or be killed. He is ruthless and unapologetic - the survival mode is his default state of being. His morals are loose and fluid at best times to non-existing at his worst, especially when he wants something very much. He may like you but rip you off during a poker game without batting an eye (do not count on fair play either) and wouldn’t have a problem with picking up where the two of you left off before the game, afterward. In the same vein, if you bested him, he does not hold a grudge - let the best one win is his motto. Mal can be likable if he tries but trusting him is probably not a good idea at all.
He is instinctive being, rarely planning things longterm, and far too often following his impulses right into all sorts of troubles. It is impossible for him to follow a long-term plan, or to be steady at anything for long. On the other hand, he is good at improvising and can adapt to any situation. He has a nature of a collector and thus his pawnshop is enabling him to collect all sorts of different trinkets and magical items, plants or animals. He is fascinated by magic, however (or maybe because) he is lacking the discipline to study it.
♚ // Character ; Powers
Magical Powers:
pyrokinesis – he can create and control small fires, accelerate and spread them, to a certain extent extinguish them - provided the fire did not spread.
minor emotion manipulation – he can detect and amp up negative emotions like aggression, dislike, hatred, anger (but he cannot induce them)
Non-magical Powers:
Mercantile - buying cheap, selling high - basically he has a knack to make money.
Sneaking, lock-picking, pickpocketing – anything that requires sleight of hand (including cheating at cards).
Weaknesses:
Pyrokinesis – he can create, incite and manipulate small fires. It is much harder for him, however, to extinguish a fire (he may succeed in stopping only small ones). If a fire expands and covers a large amount of space it gets harder and harder for him to control it, while it becomes impossible to extinguish it.
Emotion manipulation – he can manipulate existing negative emotions but he cannot induce them.
While he can sense magic he has never learned to use it and he knows very little about it. He is too impatient to seriously study it, although sometimes he tries to (in a purely utilitarian manner - when he needed something done). Since his studies lacking depth, the effects vary and can be quite volatile.
He may be good at sneaking and stealing but on earth, it is hard for him to be unnoticeable, at least among humans. Due to his demonic aura, other supernatural creatures are also wary of him.
Holy ground – while he could, if he wanted to, cross the threshold of a holy place for a short amount of time, it would make him sick physically, psychically he gets panic attacks any time he gets close to a sanctified place and thus he fears and avoids them altogether.
♚ // Character ; The Villager
Job/Occupation: Pawn Shop owner
Lives in: His shop “Pawn Pickers” in The (human) City (flat over the shop)
♚ // Character ; The Past
Date of Birth: unknown, ca 600 human years (physically in his 20)
Date of Death: n/a
Crime Record: none
Has your character attended Insolitus Academy in the past?
No
Background:
The lush forests of his birthplace were bathed forever in semi-darkness, the only light was a red glow of an old star, forever circling the horizon in a slow cycle. Time is irrelevant, for his kin is immortal – albeit they are killable. Mal is painfully aware of that. And there were many ways to die in this world of his - by the hand of his kin or by the world itself. Voracious plants hungrily spread on any surface they can, and, with so little light, they are feeding on anything they can, including each other, or other beings. Most of the trees are carnivorous, with dark purple leaves, thick and meaty. The sweet heavy aroma hangs in the air, beckoning unaware victims to come closer. Everything there grows with deadly greediness and speed, grabbing and wrapping in thick aerial roots any prey available, to consume it. The whole planet is locked in a cycle of a ruthless and brutal fight for survival. It follows, that the same might be said about his people - the dark elven tribes
Hunting and fighting and killing – those were the pastimes of his early years, as soon as he was old enough to draw a bow. A pack of youngsters scouring the forests, learning by doing - the survival of the fittest in its purest form – one either learned fast or died faster. Mal’s demonic heritage was both his curse and his forte – it was harder for him to find allies – but when he did, it became easier to manipulate them, ramping up aggression, ambitions, and anger. It seemed that his unknown father did leave him something useful.
He also left him an obvious sign of his demonic heritage - anger and aggression change his features, giving him demonic look alongside an appearance of horns. He never got to know anything more about his father, presumably a demon, as his mother did not find it necessary to elaborate on him. She was a fierce and merciless warrior herself and she demanded absolute obedience and fierceness of all her children, which competed constantly among themselves. It all changed when a war between demons and elves begun.
It wasn’t a first such war this realm has seen, but from the last one was so long ago only legends remained. Some remembered it, most didn’t. What quickly became clear is that Mal’s double heritage was his undoing. He was very much aware of the looks he started to receive, but when his siblings joined forces (a very rare instance indeed, for them to cooperate) to take Mal down, he decided it was time to leave. Not before sawing a seed of animosity and hatred among his would-be assassins, ramping up the feelings of distrust and aggression and ambition. In the end, he left one or two bodies behind and escaped the world and the war.
The human world was mild and too safe compared to his homeland, boring even (war times excluded) but it was a place he learned in time to call home. Discovering other supernatural creatures was a surprise, a nice one - because it made things so much more interesting. He had made his home in the vicinity of Insolitus Academy, as it is a magnet for supernatural beings of all kinds, with all sorts of curious artifacts he can buy or steal. And that is quite a good living, in his books.

B.A.P Le Noir AU Chapter 10 (Jongup): A New Game
Sorry this took so long! I was suppose to post this some time at noon, but then I went out to LA soooo yeah haha XD The request half of this weekend will be posted tomorrow so be sure to check that out too!
“I hate this…” The detective groaned piling the Emperor Dragon’s case files into a large box. The elder detective let out a snort, patting the younger on the back. “It’s a gang case, why the hell would the higher ups need to be involved?”
“Get used to it kid, once the chief mentioned special agents I knew this case was going to be swept away from us,” The elder sighed, placing the last case file in the box and leaning back to adjust his back. A nice pop released. “And speaking of the devils…” The detective sneered seeing two special agents enter the precinct.
“Jackson take the boxes back to headquarters.” Special Agent Im nodded towards the boxes the detective laid out. Special Agent Wang looked at his leader with pleading eyes.
“Jaebum, those boxes probably weigh a ton and you want me to carry them by myself?” Jackson came over to the boxes and mocked carried them, dramatically emphasizing how heavy they are.
“Of course, you’re the strongest of the group so that’s why I specifically called you for help.” Jaebum smirked seeing how the boy’s eyes lit up at his words. It was easy to persuade Jackson for help.
“Well why didn’t you say that before? Of course! It makes total sense why you didn’t call the others now.” Jackson beamed with pride at his strength as he carried both boxes without any worry or sweat. Jaebum let out a snort of amusement at his teammate’s innocence.
“I would like to thank you all for you cooperation.” Jaebum flashed the detectives a trained polite smile. He was taught to be local law enforcement plus a small part of him was nostalgic, remembering he was like the two detectives at one point in his life.
“More like forced cooperation.” The younger detective sneered, earning him a smack on the back of the head by the elder detective.
“Sorry about this punk. He doesn’t know when to shut his mouth sometimes.” The elder sighed, only causing Jaebum to flash them a genuine smile.
“It’s fine. I can see where he’s coming from.” Jaebum couldn’t help remember when he was just like that young detective. Young, dumb, and short-tempered as hell.
“This is it?” Jaebum raised a brow as Special Agent Tuan handed him a file.
“Yep, we sifted through all the gun deals, murders, and human trafficking files, but this was the only one that we found about the informants.” Mark noted as he began filing the documents away into a digital database.
Jaebum took the thin file from him, scanning through it’s contents briefly. Pieces to a larger puzzle. Information on possible informants embedded in rival gangs reporting on activity...but not to the Emperor Dragons. Jaebum chewed on his bottom lip, analyzing the file’s contents. It seems that the Emperor Dragons weren’t too happy that their ‘partners’ were keeping tabs on them. The INF. This unknown being that seemed to have all the cards in their hand, all the chess pieces, while the cops were playing blind. It wasn’t too surprising that the INF would embed spies throughout the criminal world, after all the goal of the organization seems to be ultimate control.
“It seems like the Emperor Dragon’s were collecting their own data…” Marked handed Jaebum another file dictating information on informants that the Emperor Dragons were able to pick out.
“We’ll keep this under wraps, we don’t want to let INF know we’re on to them…” Jaebum chewed his lower lip as he continued to reading this file. “It seems like the Emperor Dragons were frequenting this club lately...Le Noir?” A small smirk spread on his face. “Let’s see what caught their attention so much.”
You let out a slight sigh as you mindlessly wandered the city streets. It was strange not being busy, not being surrounded by the familiar scent of nicotine and booze. You didn’t know how long it had been since you last step foot in Le Noir. Time seemed to being going so slow during times of peace. It was unsettling. You were too used to the chaos, the excitement, that peace seemed so mundane. You scoffed at your own thoughts. You were starting to sound like Jongup. Quite terrifying.
This was the at least the third night you simply wandered the streets, allowing your feet to lead you everywhere and nowhere. They always seemed to lead you to one place. Under the bright fluorescent sign of Le Noir. But you would never enter. It wasn’t as if you were scared or traumatized to enter your home, but you weren’t ready just yet. You needed sometime to think. To come to terms with the fact that you weren’t as invincible as you thought you were. That you were fragile. That you were still that naive girl you were years ago. You needed some time to rebuild yourself.
“Looks like you’ve put yourself back together,” You jumped at the familiar, unwarranted voice. Jongup leaned up against the brick wall of the club, the same devilish grin on his face. “I was beginning to worry.”
“Worried or bored?” You scoffed, pulling your coat tighter around your body to keep yourself warm from the harsh cold. Jongup chuckled slowly sauntering towards you like a snake slithering towards it’s prey.
“Worried, bored, same thing is it not?” He boredly shrugs as he leans in, the warmth his breath fanning your cheek. “I’ve missed my little marion.” He snickered as you rolled your eyes.
“I’m sure you did,” Sarcasm dripping from your words. “Where are your keepers?” You raised a brow, noticing that the other boys weren’t around.
“I’m hurt, marion. I personally come out to check if you might be around and you care for those mundane fellows?” Jongup’s cheshire grin never leaving his face. “If you must know they are in the backroom of your establishment.” Your face scrunched up when you noticed the mess that covered his face. Now under better lighting, you noticed the splotches of blood that covered his cheeks and partially his knuckles. All his victim’s you assumed. Jongup didn’t seem like the type to bleed.
“It seems you’ve been making a mess around my club…” You instinctively reached out and gently wiped the smudge away from Jongup’s cheek. The puppet master flinched. This was the second time you saw this happen.
You didn’t know if it was the odd sympathy you felt for him or the strange emotions you felt towards him since that night, but the disgust and alertness you felt for him seemed to have dim. You obviously could not completely trust the sly devil, but a small part of you knew the one truth about him. He was hurt. So deeply that even the slightest kind touch or tenderness made his instincts go on high alert from the unfamiliarity. It was quite sad once you thought about it. To never feel love. Affection. You were privileged to have all of that despite the seedy life you lived in. But Jongup? It seems he had been in the darkest hell and never came back up.
Jongup froze at your sudden touch. He was not expecting such….tenderness….comfort? He couldn’t quite put a name to the emotion he was feeling. It was new. Different. And he did not like it one bit. You would always conjure these weird emotions from him…He would always find a way to divert them. Ignore the strangeness he was feeling, but you simply brought it back with the simplest kind gesture. And he hated it. He hated the loss of power. The loss of control. The lack of understanding. He hated that you made him feel powerless at times, but he couldn’t get rid of you like he could with others. You were too intriguing, too interesting to simply let slip through his grasp. You were his marion. He was going to grab a hold of you, consume your mind, take control of your entire being. Whether it was your choice or not.
“Some rats came to play. I was simply getting rid of the mess,” He yawned, removing your hand from his cheek. “I even had the courtesy to dump them in the trash for you.”
Rats. Emperor Dragons. Or what was left of them. Jongup confused you at times. He could be so cruel, so ruthless, and bloodthirsty. But you would see these small glimmers of humanity in him. You didn’t know if it appeared simply because he found it entertaining to see how you react to a sudden change of character or he truly had some humanity in him. You didn’t know. He was the one man that you simply couldn’t get a read on. His eyes were so empty, lifeless like he was a doll himself. His mind, intangible. He had walls that were so high and wide that you didn’t even know where to begin to overcome them. You didn’t even know if you should. Did you care for this psycho? You didn’t know. You felt something for him. A part of you wanted to give him tenderness and affection that he seemed to lack. Was it the motherly instinct in you? It may have been. He reminded you of some of your girls when you first saved them from the street. The only difference is that you were in time to save them. But no one was there to save Jongup.
“Thank you…” Your words were simply a murmur, but they left Jongup slightly stunned. Again, you were full of surprises and for once he did not know how to respond. He was expecting a witty sarcastic comment, or a scolding. But not gratitude. Those strange feelings once again conjuring up inside of him.
“You’re thanking me?” He let out a slightly maniacal laughter. “Oh dear, it seems that little marion here is missing a screw or two,” He leaned in, his lips mere inches from yours, but you didn’t falter or move. You told him that you would stop running and that’s exactly what you were doing. “Didn’t I tell you before that if the game is too easy, it’s no fun.”
“And didn’t I tell you that I wasn’t running away anymore?” You cocked an eyebrow. Jongup paused for a moment, his smile slightly faltering until it merely changed to a wider grin.
“You’re playing a dangerous game, marion, and I don’t know if you will make it back in one piece…” He chuckles, he gently runs the back of his hand down the side of your face.
“And I don’t know if you’ll win.” A small smirk of your own spread across your dark red lips. Jongup stepped back from you, going into a fit of hysterical laughter.
“My dear sweet naive marion. The more I warn you to leave the more you seem to flock towards danger,” Jongup tilted your chin upwards, tilting his head to the side curiously. “What makes you tick, marion? What can make such a naive little thing run towards something they should obviously stay away from them? Why venture further into the darkness when the both of us can continue playing this little game of ours?”
“I’m done playing the small games. I want the real challenge. What makes you tick Moon Jongup?” Your stare unwavering from his. Both of you seem to be reading the other, but not understanding a thing. It was truly a game of cat and mouse. Predator and prey. One trying to tame the other.
“Moon Jongup. Surprised to see you here instead of jail.” Jongup let out a bored sigh, creating a space between the two of you as Special Agent Im approached the two of you. A small smirk on the tall, handsome fellow’s face.
“And I will never be in jail if you are all bark and no bite.” Jongup smirk as he saw Jaebum’s brow knit together in frustration.
“Watch your words, Moon, because the moment you slip up you can be sure I will arrest your ass,” Jaebum growled, his frustration increasing as the sly smirk on Jongup’s face grew wider. Oh he knew the infamous reputation of the Moon Jongup. He was already part of the crime world before he even joined BAP. Assault, murder, robbery. His rap sheet was almost as long as could go on for days. But he was a lone wolf. Never collaborating with fellow criminals, let alone join a gang. That is until BAP came into the picture. Jaebum always wondered what caused the demented man to suddenly change his ways. “And I would suggest that you should stay away from this man, Miss. He is dangerous.”
A small smile spread across your lips. As if you were new to danger, let alone that of Moon Jongup. “So I’ve heard.”
“Marion, here, is the type to learn things the hard way.” His grin spread, eyeing you with a smug look in his eyes. You rolled your eyes at his action, but the amused smirk never leaving your lips.
Jaebum stared at the two of you confused, not understanding how a beautiful young lady such as yourself would ever associate with someone like Jongup. Your ruby tinted lips and beautiful smile would capture any man in a heartbeat, yet you chose the attention of a psychotic man who treated human life as a pawn for his sick mental games. Perhaps you were as sick as he was? Or perhaps you had your own vendetta? The marionette wanting to control the puppet master?
“So why are you here?” You raised an eyebrow, approaching Jaebum. “Law enforcement doesn’t usually come here,” Leaning in so that your lips were near his ear. “Too afraid of the danger.” A shiver ran down Jaebum’s spine at your smooth, sultry voice. You were the dangerous one. A vixen.
“I can assure you, beautiful, that I am not like any other law enforcement.” Jaebum smirked back, trying to regain his composure. It was tough, though. It was as if you could see right through him. One simple glance and you could read him like a book.
“Then did you come here to see little ol me?” Jongup raised a brow, leaning against the walls of Le Noir.
“No,” Jaebum growled, glaring at the Jongup. “I’ve come here to check out this place.” Jaebum pointed at the sign of Le Noir, glimmering under the moonlit night.
“And what business do you have with my establishment?” You crossed your arms, your playful expression faded away into complete seriousness. After all the hell you went through, no one was to mess with your home. You didn’t care if it was local law enforcement, criminal syndicate, or federal law enforcement. You would ensure that Le Noir was not collateral damage.
“Your establishment?” Jaebum couldn’t hide the shock in his voice. Now everything began to make some sense. Of course, someone who grew up in these streets and lifestyle would be able to handle gangsters like Jongup. It was in your blood.
“Yes. Is that a problem?” You raised an eyebrow. If he thought that the crime world was that of a man’s world, he was utterly wrong.
“No, that just makes my task much easier. I have some questions to ask you Miss…”
“Y/N. If you call me anything else I will take it as personal insult.” Jaebum let out a snort at your words. A feisty vixen.
“Then Y/N, if you would be so kind and answer a few questions of mine.” Jaebum leaned in, a smug grin on his face. It was a first for him to interact with a femme fatale and how he enjoyed it much more than dealing with the disgruntled men he usually encountered.
“Ah-ah, too close,” Jongup placed a hand between the you and Jaebum to create some form of distance. “I don’t like sharing my toys, Im.”
“And who says I don’t like to be shared?” You scoffed, removing Jongup’s hand from your line of sight so that you were once again face to face with Jaebum.
“Looks like your ‘toy’ doesn’t like listening to you, Moon.” Jaebum snickered. How interesting to see someone outwardly defy the demented psycho of the underworld.
“If she did then it would be too boring, no? Makes taming her more fun.” Jongup shot Jaebum a arrogant smirk, a small chuckle leaving his lips. Of course he doesn’t want you to simply be a mindless puppet for him to manipulate. That would be too dull. Too simple. He wanted his defiant marionette.
“You two boys are the ones that need to be tamed,” You sneered, not enjoying that the two of them were talking as if you were not present. “Now Special Agent Im, what business do you have with my establishment and myself?”
“I wanted to ask you about the Emperor Dragons.” Jaebum noted the stiffness of your body at the mention of the infamous game. He also noticed the usual devilish expression of Jongup now contorted to something darker and sinister.
“And what about them?” You cleared your throat, not wanting for some stupid trauma to unnerve you. What’s done is done and the past cannot be changed so you didn’t wish for it to affect you.
“We have information that they have been visiting Le Noir lately, and we wanted to know if you’ve noticed suspicious activity.” You couldn’t help but let out a burst of laughter at Jaebum’s words. Suspicious activity? Did he forget where you worked?
“Honey, I own a bar meant for gangsters and mob men. There is probably suspicious activity happening every minute,” You giggled. You didn’t know if Special Agent Jaebum was pulling your leg or was more than innocent that he appeared to be. The opposite of the glowering puppet master beside you. “And, even if there was suspicious activity, I wouldn’t tell you. I’m no snitch.” You shot him a sly smile.
“Then you’re impeding a federal investigation, Y/N. And I’ll have to haul your pretty little ass back to headquarters for interrogation.” Jaebum flashed a cocky smile, liking your nerve and fearlessness.
“Try me. I don’t mind be in handcuffs.” You smirked back, not faltering a bit at his threat.
Jaebum let out a snort before rummaging in his pocket, pulling out his business card. “Maybe another time. Until then, call me if you see anything out of place.”
You flashed him your rehearsed polite smile. “Don’t worry. I won’t.” You plucked the card from Jaebum’s arm who let out a scoff before retreating back to his head quarters.
“First you wish to play a game with me and then you play with authorities, marion. You really have no fear do you?” Jongup snickered, amused by your actions and recklessness. You truly were a bag of surprises.
“Looks like you’re rubbing off on me.” You shrugged placing the card in your coat pocket.
“I don’t know if that’s a good thing.” Jongup chuckled. But it wasn’t his usual maniacal chuckle or borderline insane laughter. There was a hint of something hidden within that laugh. Another emotion that you’ve never heard from said man.
The two were now stuck in this game. Neither of you willing to run away, neither one of you willing to yield. He wanted control. He wanted to play around, fool around with his new toy. Yet at the same time he refused to allow you to fall, to break. Such conflicting thoughts and wants that you couldn’t understand. Yet you did want to understand. No matter how many times you tried to push him away, tell yourself he was dangerous, deadly, insane, you kept wanting to understand what was going in his mind. What made him so broken, heartless, merciless. You wanted to stay away, but yet you wanted to fix him. It confused him. He did not know how to react to such interest. Such a pure emotion. For a man who only lived and seen darkness, to see something so pure within his grasp frustrated him. He did not know whether to reach out and crush it or to simply observe it, see what may or may not occur. The two of you were playing a dangerous game where someone would get hurt. You just didn’t know who.
“I don’t know either….”

B.A.P Le Noir AU Ch. 10 (Yongguk): Misunderstanding
*DRUM ROOOOOOOOLLLL* As promised, I will giving you guys a chapter peek into the other routes since I’ve been a slow sloth and been on hiatus for too long sooooo tadah! Here is yonggukies chapter! I’m trying so hard to make him tough, but he ends up being squishy~ Haha anyways! Enjoy the chapter!!
“Uhg look at all this crap we got to sift through…” The detective sighed as he lit another cigarette, leaning back into his chair and staring at the piles of file they collected from wreckage of the Emperor Dragon’s hideout. Not only did they have to find who burnt that hell hole to a crisp, but also follow up on the rest of the Emperor Dragon's activity. And trust that it wasn’t simply one or two cases.
“Prostitution, money counterfeiting, loan sharing, human trafficking,” The partner detective groaned, running his hand down his face in an attempt to wake himself up. “What did these bastards not do?”
“Donate to a charity,” The detective scoffed, as he grabbed one of the files and began reading through. “Let’s just get this over with before boss get’s on our asses.”
“I guess…” The partner detective let out an exasperated sigh as he grabbed a file on top of one of the piles, only to have it quickly snatched from his grasp. “What the fuck?” The partner detective growled.
“We’ll be taking over this case,” Special Agent Im Jaebum, boredly flipped through the files, not paying attention to the glares the surrounding detectives were sending him. His black suit fitting tightly against his body, his hair perfectly styled back, revealing the set of silver earings his ears adorned.“I want these files on my office by tomorrow morning.”
“And who the hell might you be?” The detective growled, not liking the arrogant attitude exuding from the special agent.
“Special Agents Im Jaebum and Park Jinyoung,” Another well-dressed man with jet black hair appeared behind Jaebum, a more amicable smile plastered on his face. “We’ve been assigned this case by the Director.”
The detectives growled, reluctantly handing over their case files to the two agents. Jaebum glared at the file he had in his head, turning his attention towards Jinyoung ignoring the detectives completely. “Take a look at this.” Jaebum directed Jinyoung’s attention to a particular case photo that caught Jaebum’s eye.
“That branding…” Jinyoung stared at the image with scrutiny, drinking every detail of the image set before him.
“Looks like the other victims right? Another victim from another human trafficking gang possible connected to the INF. Coincidence no?” Jaebum smirked, pleased that they got another lead.Jaebum nonchalantly gestured for a detective to come towards him. “You guys have been keeping track of the Emperor Dragon’s right?”
“Of course, what do you take us for?” The detective sneered, crossing his arms and leaning back against a desk.
“Okay then, what can you tell me about their current activities?” Jaebum raised an eyebrow, seeing how informative these detectives were.
“Besides the usual arms deals and prostitution, they’ve seem to have some beef with BAP lately, causing some trouble at the club Le Noir.” The detective confidently, glad that he could get a jab at the special agent.
Jaebum scoffed, placing his hands into his pockets as he strode out of the precinct. “Looks like you guys are useful after all.” Jaebum could hear a slew of curses from behind him as he exited the building.
“Ya know, with an attitude like that you’re never going to get a girlfriend.” Jinyoung snickered.
“Look who’s talking,” Jaebum smirked. “Anyways, let’s take a road trip shall we?”
“Fine by me, I haven’t hit the club in a while anyways.”
You let out a soft sigh, swirling the blood red liquid in your grasp, the sweet acidic taste tingling your tongue. You watched the club from the sidelines. An outsider looking in. A part of you wanted to jump in back to business, but your girls forced you not to. Scolding you for trying to work after going through such an...ordeal. It took you weeks before you convinced the girls to let you enter the club and even then you weren’t allowed to work, only allowed to be a customer.
You were grateful for the care and love the girls showed you, but you needed to work. Needed to be busy. The moments of silence and idleness killed you. Your mind always crawling back to the scene of that night. The hurt and anguish in Yongguk’s eyes. You didn’t want that. You didn’t want him to think that you were simply using him...but weren’t you? You had practically begged him to take you right there and then. Use him as a sort of comfort. A stress ball. How could you say you cared about him, when you did something so cruel. You did care for him, you admitted to that. Beyond that, you were confused. Did you feel something for the supposed cold hearted man? Yes. Was it love? You didn’t know for sure. It had been such a long time since you had fallen love that you could no longer figure out if what you felt was love or lust.
You let the cool sweet liquid run down your throat, hoping that it would help dull the memory. It did momentarily, until familiar voices filled your ears. Your body stiffened, your mind not preparing for the confrontation that you could no longer avoid. You took another swig of your wine, hoping that it would help soothe your fast beating heart. This sensation of anxiety and edge was unfamiliar to you. You never felt this nervous, let alone due to a man. Perhaps you cared about Yongguk than you would admit…
“Well look who finally showed her beautiful face,” Himchan teased, grabbing a seat beside you. “I’m glad to see you recovered.” Himchan smiled sincerely, giving your shoulder a small squeeze of comfort.
“Aww, were you worried for me Himchan? How sweet,” You chuckled. “But I’m tougher than I look.”
“As expected. I don’t like toys that break so easily.” Jongup smirked as he leaned against the bar counter.
“Why? Did you want to play with me, Jonguppie? I warn you though, if you lose the punishment won’t be so sweet.” You flashed him a cocky grin.
Jongup scoffed, but an obvious devilish grin was plastered on his face as he ordered his drink. He was right about you. You were amusing and how he enjoyed playing with such entertaining toys. You rolled your eyes at the sly snake before turning your attention to Youngjae and Zelo who were dragging Daehyun’s ass into the club. You chuckled at the scene, seeing how Youngjae was puffing up like an angry bird while Zelo was grumbling about why he had to practically carry a grown ass man across the room. The two boys turned and made eye contact with you. Your raised a curious brow at them in response, a smile painted on their face.
“Well look who’s back in one piece.” Youngjae smirked, letting go of Daehyun, Zelo following suit, which caused the dazed boy to fall back onto the floor.
“Missed me?” You chuckled as you saw Daehyun shoot up from the floor, confused as to what had just happened.
“Well don’t you think highly of yourself.” Zelo cocked an eyebrow, a cheeky grin on his face.
“Of course, don’t you think so cheeky little lamb,” You stifled a laugh when you saw Zelo’s cheeks went a flame at the mention of ‘little lamb.’ The last thing he wanted was for his hyungs to have more ammo to tease him with. “Hi Daehyun, you seem to be in a pleasant mood.”
“Yeah…” He flashed you a toothy grin before going off back into that far off looked he had previously. You glanced at Youngjae, trying to find answers as to the change in the flirty boy’s demeanor.
“He’s getting a visit from a very special guest.” Youngjae scoffed, fiddling around with a dart he picked up.
“You look well rested.” Your playful, jovial attitude suddenly stiffened at the sound of a raspy, deep voice. You looked up to see Yongguk with a sympathetic smile on his face.
Himchan glanced between the two of you, sensing the tension in the air. Perhaps the two of you had some dirty laundry that needed to be aired out. “Okay, you punks. We came here to do work, not fool around.” Himchan began shooing the boys to the backroom despite the protest and grumbles. He gave a look over his shoulder towards Yongguk, giving him a slight nod. Yongguk gave a nod of thanks before his turning his attention towards you.
Guilt boiled in Yongguk’s gut. He wasn’t a man of many words, yet he had so much he wanted to say to you. So much he wanted to explain. He wanted to apologize for taking advantage of your moment of weakness. To let you know that he wasn’t that kind of man. Yes, he was a gangster. Yes, he has murdered and done so much property damage that he lost track of time. But he did care. He cared about BAP. He cared about the young children who were sucked into this lifestyle not by choice. He cared. He cared about you.
“Yongguk…” Your voice broke him away from his deep contemplation, a sympathetic smile on your face. “About that night...I’m sorry.”
“There is nothing for you to be sorry about…” Yongguk mumbled. You smiled at the man once more, gesturing for him to sit beside you. Yongguk froze for a moment, unsure whether he should take the offer or keep his distance. He chose he kept his distance. You were like gasoline to his fire. He wasn’t too sure what would happen if the two of you got any closer than you guys already were. It was dangerous, tempting like a warm fire on a chilly night.
“Yes I do,” You got up from your chair, deciding that if Yongguk was not going to approach you, you would approach him. “I shouldn’t have made you do what you did. I used you.” You fixed the collar of his neat button up.
“You didn’t make me do anything…anything I did was because I wanted to do it…” Yongguk gently grabbed your hand, removing it from his frame. “But I can’t...we can’t go beyond this.”
You smiled at Yongguk gently. The man despite his harsh glares and gravel voice, was as soft and compassionate as a teddy bear. Sometimes you forgot how cold and merciless he could be when he wanted to. It would be a lie to deny that a small part of you grew fond of him. His care towards not only you, but your girls. He treated you all as equals, not judging by your past professions, or by your gender. It was refreshing to say nonetheless. But you understood. You understood that the small feelings that the two of you had conjured needed to be quenched as soon as possible. You didn’t even know if you were even ready to begin another relationship. You had guarded your heart so well that you nearly forgot the feeling of being loved, being cared for, being adored. You also knew full-well that Yongguk’s heart was cast in such thick armor that no weapon could penetrate it.
You gently pinched his cheek, causing the grown man to shoot you a playful glare as you pulled him towards the bar and making him sit beside you. “A drink?” You raised a brow.
Yongguk let out a small sigh, before a small smile graced his lips. He was confused, internal conflict brewing within him. He wanted to be away from you. Keep you far away from him because the closer he got to you the more he felt like he would combust. It had been so long he felt this way, felt the want to be near another person. He didn’t understand it. He had threw his heart away to the devil long ago, but now it seemed it had returned. Return with such a vengeance that he did not know if he could control himself. That’s what he feared. He feared that the flames and passions of love would consume him, blind him from the truth as it once did long ago. But no matter how much he pushed himself away, he always felt himself coming back to you. The simplest smile or laugh made him laugh or smile in return. Something his face was unaccustomed to.
“I’ll just have a water.” He noted, keeping his face as emotionless as possible.
A young waitress swiftly came over to give Yongguk his water, her eagerness nearly made her trip. A blush crept on her cheeks, embarrassed by her clumsiness, but Yongguk paid no mind. Instead he flashed the young girl a sincere smile, before thanking her for the drink. You watched the whole scene with such adoration in your eyes. He truly cared for your girls, and he barely even knew them. That’s what drew you to him. The juxtaposition of his kindness and his cruelty. You wondered what made this gummy bear tick. What made a soft hearted man cold?
“They really like you,” Yongguk perked a brow at you as he sipped on his water. “You treat them kindly.” You smiled at him, resting your chin in your palm.
“They deserve nothing less right?” A smirk on his face, before he began to stare at the nothingness in front of them. “Carefree smiles, joyous laughs, blissful innocence. No one deserves to have that stripped away from them…” Yongguk eyes fell onto your girls as they cooed over the child of one the patreons. The chubby baby grasping at their fingers making incoherent babbling noises. Your girls giggling at the child’s every gesture. You lived for scenes such as these. They were rare to find in this part of town, but when they did show up, they were a breath of fresh air from the dank air of smoke and violence.
A small sincere smile spread across your face. “Yongguk...If we weren’t in the line of work we were in…” Your voice trailed off wondering if you should even bring up the topic. Dare to step into that unknown territory. You looked up to Yongguk staring at you with such intensity in his eyes. Anticipating for your questions, waiting for you to finish the words the both of you feared. “Would we be able to be like them?”
Yongguk opened his mouth for his moment, trying to find the right words to reply. He knew he should have replied immediately. Shutting down any and all attempts of re sparking the fire that was readying burning in his heart. He should simply told you ‘no’ with that cold, jaded voice he had mastered. But he couldn’t. He didn’t understand why the words were caught in his throat, refusing to be free. “I…” His eyebrows furrowed. Frustrated at himself. At his weakness. “I do-”
“Special Agent Im and Park. We need to talk to the owner of this establishment.” Special Agent and Park entered the bar, confidence exuding off them despite being surrounded by notorious gangsters. All eyes were on the two suited men, glares boring into them, but they didn’t seem to pay any mind. In fact, they both had a cocky smirk on their face. The men of the club glanced at each other, questioning whether they should pull out their guns and shoo the men away or lay low. You shot the patrons of your club a harsh glare, warning them that you would not allow any trouble in your club, even if it involved cops.
“I am the owner.” You stood up from your seat only to have Yongguk standing beside you, knowing full well that you could handle your own, but it didn’t hurt to have some backup.
“Damn,” Jinyoung’s jaw dropped slightly from your appearance. He had honestly expected a pudgy, balding man with a gaudy gold chain around his neck. Or a wrinkly old woman reeking of expensive of perfume and wearing clothes that were meant for someone half her age. Instead he was met with a bombshell. “Are you really the owner?”
“Why? Do I not look like one?” A smirk played on your lips, coming closer to the two men, playing with Jinyoung’s tie. “Or perhaps were you looking for other services?”
“M’am,” Jaebum’s voice was harsh and strict, causing you lean back from Jinyoung bored. “We need to have a talk about one of the visitors of your club.”
“Then talk. You have a mouth for a reason do you not?” A sly smile spread on your lips as a shocked expression flashed across the special agent’s face. Yongguk couldn’t help, but let a cocky smirk play on his lips. He didn’t know why, but he felt so proud of you. The way you were able to hold your own, your resilience. That was his girl...wait, no you weren’t. He had spent the entire evening convincing himself of that.
Jaebum scoffed, impressed that such a young woman could be so fearless. “It’s about the Emperor Dragons.” He noted how your body stiffened at his words. He had struck a nerve. Yongguk stepped him slightly, shooting the special agent’s a warning glare.
“Ah, Yongguk, you and your gang haven’t gotten into any trouble lately have you?” Jinyoung prodded, enjoying seeing how annoyed Yongguk was becoming. “No fires set?”
“Buzz off.” Yongguk growled.
“We’re not here to talk to you,” Jaebum shot him a glare. “So m’am, the Emperor Dragons.”
“What about them?” You raised a brow. “And for God’s sake call me Y/N. I do not want to think myself of a old woman yet.”
“They’ve seem to be visiting your club frequently lately.”
“Perhaps they like the booze.” You shrugged, growing bored of the line of question. You were no snitch if that’s what the special agents were trying to get at.
“They seem to have an influx of human trafficking lately,” Jaebum glanced over at the young girl’s huddled together in the corner of the bar. Terrified by the presence of law enforcement. “You wouldn’t happen to know anything about it do you?”
“How dare you.” You growled through gritted teeth, slapping Jaebum across the face. “I would never let my girls anywhere near that scum.”
“I think it’s about time the two of you should leave.” Yongguk growled, furious that they had insinuating that you of all people would help the Emperor Dragon’s in their human trafficking ring.
“We’ll be back,” Jaebum chuckled, adjusting his jaw from the slap. “Perhaps we’ll get a drink next time.”
You scoffed, crossing your arms. “You are not welcomed here.” The special agents nonchalantly left as if they had not caused a ruckus in your club. You let out an exasperated sigh before slumping down on the nearest bar stool.
“Ms. Bonnie, that was quite some show,” Yongguk smirked, placing his hands on your shoulders to give it a light squeeze to ease the tension. A small smile broke through your grimace at the sound of of his playful voice. “You okay?”
“I’m fine….just fine…” You hummed, resting your hand on top of his hand as he continued to release the tension that you have built up.
