WHY is it so thicc #I was able to redownload HSR onto my phone bc my phone ACTUALLY has decent storage space.#I mean my iPad has 64 gigs but Genshin takes up like. 40 of that #And HSR is around 13 gigs rn #My iPad was like nope can't do it fam ;)#Me: NAURR!!!!!#Anyway I'm the bearer of the curse (being at work wanting to play in Fontaine so so so SO bad)

Something a little horror themed for mermay. I think frequently about a mermaid version of that isopod that lives in the fish's mouth. And I also frequently think about how my platties whom after giving birth immediately started chasing their young.

#my art #mermay #mermay 2024 #horror art #slight nudity #slight cannibalism too...#i never have any idea what to tag my spooky stuff as uhhhh #mermaid #i chose the largemouth bass because it was a recognizable species #and i made the bass cry (even though underwater) to show the viewer that the fish is still alive and a separate creature #i'd imagine the sprites would reproduce by having the fish kiss. then they'd procreate between the fish's locked lips.. or something #i also like the idea of plenty of things being confused for mermaids and some mermaid scientists going about categorizing them #i like the idea of something humanoid and supernatural being parasitic to something natural.. i think it's neat #i don't think the bigger fry/baby in the foreground worked out that great but it was to display the size difference

#critical role #i always wanted to see more of the kryn dynasty in c2 but since we've already had a wildemount campaign that’s a no go #(hoping for a kryn dynasty exu run at some point tho)#but the underdark might be a way to still get a look at cultures like drow who often get sidelined or turned to villains in these settings #on the other hand underdark would be very tied to the established continents #so maybe the underdark of issylra to hit two birds with one stone?#in a similar way i think the ocean/underwater and the shattered teeth could mingle really well #especially as both are really isolated from the rest of exandria but strongly tied to each other #and obviously whether the moons would work as a setting depends on whether catha is habitable (doubtful)#and whether ruidus will still even be around at the end of c3 #(VOTE NOW will they BLOW UP THE MOON YES OR NO???)#nella talks cr

hi sorry for disappearing ive been hyperfixating on roblox pressure

this game is so bad for me bc i have extreme thalassophobia and (because of the searchlights) just now realized i have megalohydrothalassophobia as well. yet i keep playing bc its a good game and im trying to do exposure therapy so i can eventually watch markipliers movie iron lung without feeling like im going to throw up or pass out. also they just added an accessibility feature for thalassophobia and when you click it you just straight up get kicked out of the game, which is hilarious.

literally the only reason i started playing this (obsessively now, btw) is because i kept seeing sebastian everywhere on twitter lol. fishe :]

i’m home !!

procedure went real well, everything was really smooth and almost as soon as they said, “you can count backwards if you want,” i don’t think i even said ten before i was suddenly in recovery and sipping some ginger ale.

honestly the worst part was the iv because they had to do it on the side of my wrist because apparently my veins are crooked ?? i just hate ivs anyway so that’s no surprise but other than that no complaints.

everyone was real nice and made sure i was well taken care of (my nurse even had me pee one more time before so she wouldn’t have to do a catheter which with my history…..thank you)

but yeah, i’ll have a follow up in about a month just to make sure everything’s good and the iud is doing its thing !!

i do have some cramping and bleeding but that’s normal, although a little funny because i literally just stopped my period yesterday but…oh well !! hopefully in a few months i won’t have hardly any so this we can handle and i hace some medicine (and my ~medicine) that’ll help so i’m all set.

mom had to go run some errands so my little recovery buddy is keeping me company. also, a moment of recognition for my new favorite shirt (thank you as always, Boss Dog Art; i’ve already got my eye on another one that says, “i think therefore i am against transphobia around the world” or something like that and it’s got a cool skeleton on it; this is my third shirt from them and they’re really comfy and good quality so not sponsored but check them out, they seem cool):

#It’s been a rough week leading up to this i’m not gonna lie #one of my neighbors was shooting on Sunday when i was in the pool #which i’m used to at this point #but for some reason i got triggered into a panic attack #and could not catch my breath #could not calm down for several minutes just scream crying #had to dunk my head underwater a few times and splash myself in the face #eventually i just buried my face in my towel and screamed cried until i physically had to stop #because i thought i was about to have a heart attack #so that wasn’t so chill #spent the rest of the day shaking #guess you just never know when it’s gonna hit!!#another plane has hit the ptsd towers #sorry #not for nothing though but the shooting stopped so there’s that #they probably thought someone had a fuckin’ ari aster movie turned up over here #nope just a mentally unstable bitch doing her best which clearly isn’t great but what can ya do!!#it was kinda funny though because i’ve been hesitant to go back out there since #but finally yesterday i had even worked longer the day before so i could really enjoy it #it had been sunny all day #no signs of rain #i’m ready to get some exercise in because i knew it might be a while #before i can again so i was really looking forward to a nice 30 minute run #damned if it didn’t start raining as soon as i got out there #and that was fine #i still ran a little got my water weights in #but the kicker was i looked at the weather on my phone and it looked like it was going to keep raining #so i said okay let me just go take a shower and settle in for the night #it didn’t rain and the sun came back out so oh well!#but point is…today went well and i’m doing okay and things could always be worse so no worries <3

and they just keep track of this. in their heads. all the time.

#all the care guide says is 'biomass'#they dont have gendered pronouns but they do have tone modifiers for every other fucking word depending on their relationship to the other #and their mood. and if theyre referring to multiple people at once or just one person. and often layered on top of each other too.#merfolk have poor vision but they DO inherently think of things in a more ''three dimensional'' way than we do #considering they live underwater and youre operating with another axis just to move around anywhere #which then gets applied to the rest of their everything #ESPECIALLY language because theyre nerds who went hard into the sound focus #their visual art in comparison has simpler elements than ours (but a lot more focus on light/movement)#this is why merfolk have some very unique spellcrafts and theyre notorious for complicated and detailed spellwork #like yes a part of it is the fact that theyre older than the other species and have had more time to work on it #but also they can just DO really unique things compared to other cultures because they emphasize layered detail in this way #this is also why - from the outside - so much of miranda's job looks like parties and balls and attending to the courts #because again. its all about the emphasis on who has what relationship with who and how to operate within that.#legal agreements are multilayered and come with terms and conditions a mile long and you need to have a very careful hand on the pulse #of all of this #even moreso because royal families go even harder with treating the lineage as the individual and the merfolk #as just limbs and organs of this equation #this is why it was so important that miranda be good at manipulation and speaking and just *charismatic*#literally making people do what she wants or needs them to do is just what makes the merkingdom GO and operate #and why she (and the other royals) occupy a space a little like a public performer does as well #and why royals showing personal favor and having close personal relationships is frowned upon as #mixing pleasure and business #since those relationships ARE their business and so much of the underlying politics #if youre showing undue favor to someone because you personally just like them then you aren't judging them based off of actual talent #merfolk complicated! merkingdom complicated!#(the merkingdom is also SUPER fucked up but thats tangential from this tangent)
