Okay right imagine like a sick baby Loki.

All he wants to do is sleep and snuggle up with his papa, staying in his warm and fluffy pyjamas. Thankfully, Mobius is more than happy to initiate that and stays by his side unless it's for necessities.

He has a paci clip attached to his shirt to make sure it doesn't go away as he's feeling rather weak and vulnerable. On top of that, diapers are a must-have.

The little one isn't in the mood to have much :( He can only really stomach bottles (milk, juice, etc.) and some soups. However, Mobius makes mealtimes as good as possible for the little guy ^^ When he starts to recover, he has enough strength to stay in his high chair again and be spoonfed.

When he's ready to start going downstairs for longer, Mobius sets up a little bed, from a blanket or two and a pillow, on the sofa. Loki is a lot more comfy this way and can get back to watching his favourite shows!

Affection isn't easy when sick, so Loki tends to cling on to Mobius with what strength he has to show his love. Parting him can be really hard, which Thor knows well about from the time he wanted to see Loki's face, even for just a second, and he just wouldn't budge. Mobius accepts these feeble hug attempts with joy and an understanding of the fact that Loki can't really do much. He opts for little head kisses.

When the time comes for a bath, though, more love can be shared. Loki doesn't feel so groggy in the bubble baths Mobius prepares, and so it's easier to show his love. He likes to blow kisses and giggle when Mobius lightly teases his stomach.

When he's just a little baby to around 2 or 3 years, Mobius brings his crib (or rather Thor does and Mobius helps out lol ^^) into his room so he can keep an eye on Loki to see how he's doing. He makes his crib as comfy as possible, blankets, soft stuffies, a mobile, everything! When he's older, Loki sleeps in Mobius's bed, but sometimes when he's young he does that too. The crib is just there if he struggles sleeping in bed ^^

All in all, sick days aren't too easy for Loki, especially being more emotional at these times, but Mobius makes them so much better.

Im literally the biggest sickfic fan ever so I wouldn't be bothered by talking about throwing up, its sort of a coping mechanism when its about fictional characters haha.

The thing abt social media rn is that everyone is so mentally fucked up theyre grasping at straws for some kind of uhh TUTORIAL on how to be a person. Hickman seems like he has a lot of ideas (like the mutants of Arakko that I don’t care about, because I think we should focus on a few of the hundreds of mutants we already have in comic book limbo first) and he stuffs them all into an overarching plotline that may or may not make sense at the end, but you’re not going to know until the end, because he also doesn’t like to make anything clear at all. His narrative is very vague, and at times the text doesn’t match up with the subtext. What he says we’re supposed to be seeing on page isn’t matching up with what we’re actually seeing on page, and he won’t let the readers know if that’s on purpose or not, which creates a disconnect. The text for the most part says Krakoa is amazing, that everything’s fine and running smoothly and happily, but everything we’re seeing makes us say “this is a cult” and we have no idea if that’s Hickman’s intention or not. It makes the story frustrating to follow issue to issue, month to month, because we have no idea where he’s going with this. I find it easier to keep up with the more peripheral titles because of that, especially because some of them do seem to be aware of the dissonance

he’s definitely an idea guy! and i don’t wanna sound too harsh here because i think some of these ideas are interesting. i think krakoa could be more interesting than it is --all the problems are in its executions. 

and part of it is bc he likes to “troll” people and be vague (and that ends up crossing into queerbait territory quite often with his character stuff) and it ends up being just frustrating with plot stuff when we’re almost 2 years in. like it was actually frustrating for me that whole first year and a half to have no xmen and he’s like “hehe that was my plan.”

and a lot of his approach to krakoa is “tell don’t show” like i’m constantly seeing “im so happy here!” without seeing why from individual characters. it’s like i skipped over 10 issues when i know i’ve read everything. 

i think some of it is intentional. like the framing of certain things is just so off! but its frustrating for it to be more concrete. i don’t think we need plot spoonfed but he’s certainly skimping on the portions to a bizarre degree. like when xavier hatches those eggs and the xmen crawl out on hox i remember going “this is so fucking creepy” --apparently he based that scene off 2001: a space oddessy with the black monolith and if you haven’t seen the scene, it’s creepy. he’s pulling a lot from literary dystopian pieces that just. make me think its supposed to be creepy and off? lol? but yeah it doesn’t do enough to really even hint at more.

hmm just alot of it is overly sweet and a clear backlash against all the cruel and negative stereotypes that existed in the 2000s which yeah makes a lot of sense. like i had this fairytale book when i was a kid, like literally right after 9/11 (and we lived in nyc), and one of the stories was about this old european grandma who made a massive quilt for her grandson and some evil middle eastern man stole it to make it a magic carpet steal camels. my dad used to rush the ending (where the man died) and say he saw the error of his ways and started praying five times a day and fasted all ramadan the end. thats kinda corny but makes sense when you’re trying to teach your children the opposite of islamophobic and orientalist stereotypes.

so the one i was thinking about little mosque on the prarie, its cute! my main beef with it was in season 1 they had a kinda homophobic episode that haunts my subconscious but for the most part was very cute show, like wholesome, i dont think it was a laugh track sitcom but very reminsecnt of family sitcoms from the 80s and 90s, which were corny bc they are very obvious about the moral of the story

ANOTHER example of corny muslim media is this rap group my dad would always make us listen to when we were kids called native deen and dont get me wrong i still listen to their music and the beats are good and some of the lines hit hard but it can be preachy in a way trying very hard to be cool

when i was in middle school i used to read books by Randa Abdel-Fattah like does my head look fat in this which were again books for teen girls who may feel ostracized for being muslim. i really loved those books they meant a lot to me

also all the kids media is corny in the way like barney the dinosaur is corny, its for kids (i would DIE for adam from adam’s world)

tldr i guess what im saying that at the end of the day lots of muslim media comes with a clear moral of the story that its ok to be muslim and we arent all evil scary terrorists which is an important message especially for young teens and children after spikes islamophobia and growing up being made to feel othered

i still havent watch ramy or skam which look like they try to give a bit of a more complex look into the muslim identity but honestly at the end of the day, im 23 and my favorite media is watch ppl act ham fuckin stupid for minimum 80% of it and then the rest can be heart felt, i dont rly wanna be spoonfed introspection of my indentities anymore. in general there needs to be a better balance of muslim characters of media bc theyll make religion the whole part of their personality or non of it, lets balance stuff out
