And. I'm gonna be real. It's also because the archetype of "huge fukcign guy next to tiny girl" is so fucking good and I don't care if people call me cringe and problematic for it skxisndmsksk I fucking love huge scary main person/tiny sidekick!

Tarn and Nickel is a funny relationship in my brain personally because I don't ship them romantically but I also think "platonic" (specifically as a synonym for friendship, not just "not romantic/sexual") is the wrong word to describe them as well. There are other more complicated aspects too like the fact that Nickel tries to be Tarn's voice of reason (and sadly fails) while Tarn is also not only her superior but also the person who saved her after her original colony was destroyed. So Nickel is at once indebted to and subordinate to Tarn, but she's also one of the few people who's intelligent and wise enough to question his leadership. And while Tarn is full of his own faults to say the least, Nickel also seems to be by far the member of the DJD he's most affectionate for (the scene touching her hand from the other side of the nuke tank, the fact that IIRC he never hurts her the way he does with other DJD members who fall out of line).

I wouldn't even call it any sort of familial/found family dynamic either, especially since I hate family dynamics in TF where there's no such thing as biological and/or nuclear families.

I guess the appeal of Tarn and Nickel is precisely that, that they have many relationship dynamics rolled up into one where neither of them is strictly superior/subservient to each other. And I guess as a Tarn sympathizer it also makes me happy to see that Tarn had at least one person who could be called a friend, who cared for him all the way up until it was clear Tarn was headlong down the path to self-destruction no matter what Nickel could do. It brings a very melancholy, conflicted feeling, as if (figuratively and literally) seeing someone you saw as a dear friend become unrecognizable to you and choose to go down a path you couldn't follow them down on. So good.

• I identify as a woman, my pronouns are she/her

• Born and raised in Italy, I still live there.

• I’m 141 LOL but according to people I still look like I’m in my 30s so let me indulge in that, thank you very much.

• I don't think there's anyone who makes me more feral than Joel Miller. I just can’t help it. My (un)holy Pedro characters triad is Joel, Oberyn and Peña 💕 (immediately followed by Frankie)

• I have a little elephant pendant that I always wear, no one knows what it's about *wink*

• I’m Leo Sun, Libra Rising and Aries Moon. You scared? I promise I don’t bite, unless explicitly requested 😏

• I’m Bi/Pan as fuck, always been obviously but I realized only last year. LOL, better late than never i guess. I only have problems with cisgender straight white males because I mean… they’re the worst, okay, I don’t make the rules.

• Single, unmarried, not interested in having kids even a little bit, I prefer to be the cool auntie.

• I love cooking and I'm quite good at it, I had good genes from my Italian grandmas 😌

• I can’t function without coffee, especially in the morning. I take my coffee bitter with just a little bit of milk.

• I can’t stand lies, the phrase “oh I didn't tell you so as not to make you suffer” (UGH, no you didn’t tell me ‘cause you’re a fucking coward and that’s it, my friend), misogyny, racism, fascism, homophobia, bi-erasure, any other form of verbal or physical violence towards LGBTQIA+ people, injustice in general, if you are any of the above you are not welcome here or in my life.

• I love dogs. I have a poodle named Brienne after the GOT character, she’s 5 years old so that means she got me through pandemic and she’s my love and joy. Isn’t she adorable? Yes, she is.

• I’m unfortunately allergic to cats (yep, like Pedro) and can’t pet them unless I wish for an asthma attack. That sucks, I know.

• I have deep brown curly hair, brown eyes and I’m short (158 cm).

• I have a lot of freckles, you could go on a treasure hunt following them.

• I’ve been to more than 100 concerts in my life including some festivals abroad.

• I currently listen to Hozier and Chappell Roan on a daily basis. I also love Billie Eilish, used to be a big Muse fan (listen, their first albums were great, okay) plus I’m a sucker for ‘90/‘00 music ‘cause that’s the music I grew up with.

• I love beer more than wine.

• I love reading, I used to read all the time, I have less time to do it now and it bothers me so much. I’m still reading fanfiction though. 🤭

• I’m a sucker for True Crime Podcasts, I only listen to Italian ones for now so unless you’re Italian you don’t know my faves and it’s a pity ‘cause they’re really good.

• Cults scare the shit out of me but at the same time they’re one of the things that makes me more curious ‘cause my mind can’t really comprehend what happens in people’s mind when they get sucked into them.

I love spicy food but I can't handle it when it’s very very spicy.

• I love bags, I have so many bags and I still want more lol

• When I was a kid I wanted to be a writer or a journalist. What do I do now? I’m a secretary LOL (I also have a second job not related to writing as well)

• As a friend, I’m loyal to the bone, I could do anything for you if I love you. If you betray me real bad though don’t expect a second chance, I mean I could try but I know i can’t ‘cause you’re changed forever in my eyes.

I guess I should make a dni *pained sigh*

Ok hi, hello, welcome to my humble abode. I've been gaining followers and since I follow back/interact with the vast majority of new people I see in my notifs, the recommended posts I get are deviating more than usual from my specific tastes. Overall, the deviations are good, I like being exposed to new things, and I'd rather not exist in an echochamber.

HOWEVER, there are some things I feel people have been disregarding when initiating interactions.

~Firstly, as this is the most common source of conflict, I am a man. I am a transgender nonbinary man and I am an enjoyer of men. I am also an enjoyer of women and nb folks but no-one on here has ever told me to off myself for it so that's beside the point

~I use multiple pronoun sets, including neopronouns and I support all non-standard pronoun users, pronouns do not equal gender.

~I'm a big fan of abortion, free healthcare, accessibility and acceptance for disabled peoples everywhere and am myself mentally ill

~It's frankly ridiculous that this is a point of contention for people. I believe in equal rights regardless of sex, gender, orientation, race, religion, or economic background. The only prerequisite for deserving human rights is being human.

~I do not give a shit what you get off on (unless you wish to involve me, in which case ask nicely in dms or on the spicy sideblog)

~Unless you are promoting or contributing to creators who use their influence to do real-world damage (*cough* rowling *cough*), I don't care what media you consume.

~I support systems of all origins. Your life story and medical history is none of my business and you don't owe that to anyone else either. You're valid and I'm glad to know you.

~Otherkin, alterhumans, therians and all other non- or semi-human identities are rad as hell. Headpats for the lot of you, or a shiny trinket to those who do not like touch.
