i can see why people don't like the early episodes of MFM, but im in an extremely parasocial relationship with my adoptive aunties who live in my phone (:
#im joking of course but i really do miss when the show was more casual and jokey and such#im glad they hired researchers now to make sure they're doing justice to the story but also...#im hoping that now that theyve split from wondery their shows will become more like that again#i feel like it suffered bc they were forced to crank out content so early/fast but also i think maybe wondery was trying to like#dictate the length and content of their episodes based on some algorithm for their ads lol#and holy shit wondery has so many podcasts that sound boring as shit i think a lot of their originals are just ad vehicles#ANYWAY. point is i like listening to my aunties in my phone :)#maybe i will reread their memoir. last time i read it was.... actually this time of year in 2020 😬
