I had a Jancy-Byler planned a long time ago where the Byers family doesn’t move after S3 and Will is pissed off at Eddie (partly because he has no patience for the faux-intimidating showmanship, partly because Mike has a lil crush on Eddie and Will’s semi-consciously jealous) and he’s venting to Jonathan about it, but Jonathan inadvertently annoys him by not being judgmental enough (he’s initially worried that Eddie is actually being a bully, but once he realizes it’s not that serious he’s like “well, Eddie has his own stuff going on but that does sound annoying!” Also crucially he’s on Percocet because he took a metal stool to the back).

#I’m probably not gonna write that story exactly but I would use it for something else #Fred is also being super-catty towards Jonathan at the paper #and it’s not that serious because he just has a crush on Nancy #but Jonathan is like well that makes sense. people don’t generally like me #but half the people on the paper know what’s going on #and assume that Jonathan is acting chill about it to piss Fred off more #and the other half think it’s a class thing and are embarrassed for Fred #Nancy doesn’t know because Fred acts normal when she’s in the room
