mann i really wish we got to see lapis making the decision to turn back and fight against the diamonds. there are many things missing in her overall arc—despite it eventually being completed—but out of everything i think i would’ve wanted this the most.

#further resolution with peridot is a very close second though #i’m still listening to one of the podcast eps and they said that that crucial piece for lapis #was to finally have some agency and make a decision for herself #she isn’t pushed to fight out of necessity; she fights because she chooses to!#but her arrival ultimately feels a little empty without the actual revelation part #everyone says the steven pov is what restricts everything but let me be real #it doesn’t because if the writers so wanted they would just find a workaround #for example here they could’ve reused steven’s dream powers #in the end though it’s really just getting cancelled #and also maybe not wanting too many lapis eps lol she already had a decent amt for s5
