I'm playing baldur's gate 3 like everyone else and I'm having a lot of fun, I'm really into the story and I love all the locations so far, but I honestly feel like the characters are lacking some depth?

It's not that they're badly written or their backstories aren't interesting, but it feels like one second they're hostile, the next they're telling you their deepest secret and saying they trust you completely, I don't know, it makes them feel a bit empty to me. I also find them too theatrical but that's personal taste probably.

Being aroace also doesn't help, because why are they ALL flirting with me, I am not interested my dude, it takes me out of the story so much because I can't understand if they're being friendly or if they're flirting T^T

#and im saying this in the tags bc i dont want people to kill me #but i find astarion so fucking annoying lol #i usually love vampire characters but i can't make myself like him #and I've been thinking about how he has a very similar backstory to fenris from da #who i would die and kill for i love him so much #and yet even if theyre similar i simply dont care for astarion #anyway those are just my thoughts #i do like the game so far #baldur's gate 3 #me
