I watched the first episode of Wolf Hall, I don't have especially strong feelings about it either way. You can tell it's aiming for Historically Accurate because it's about as brightly-lit as episode of The X-Files, but nobody can ever make a completely Accurate historical drama so on balance I'd have preferred them to turn a few more electric lights on.

#i have read the first two books but not the 3rd one because a) it's too thicc and b) I found the 'voice' of the others weirdly contagious #and I don't want to be writing fanfiction in someone else's distractingly opaque style that'd just be weird #historical drama (as in fiction-drama not DRAMA like historians arguing over the curviness of Richard III's spine)#tudor nonsense #(my nonsense not mantel's nonsense it's myself that i'm judging in the previous tag)#wolf hall
