Jeremy Jordan performs “Broadway, Here I Come!” on SMASH
"Broadway, Here I Come!" is an original song introduced in the first episode of the second season of the musical TV series Smash, entitled "On Broadway". It was written by Joe Iconis. Within the show's universe, it was written by the songwriting team Jimmy Collins (Jeremy Jordan) and Kyle Bishop (Andy Mientus) for their Hit List musical.
In the episode, the setting has Karen Cartwright (Katharine McPhee), having previously become acquainted with Jimmy and Kyle in a bar they work in, finds out from Kyle they are a songwriting team working on a musical. Karen overhears Jimmy singing the song on a piano and then moves closer to watch him perform it. During the song, she dials Derek Wills (Jack Davenport) to have him listen and tells him this may be the next thing they are looking for as the Bombshell musical they were working on has temporarily shut down.
Karen reprises the song in the ninth episode of the second season, entitled "The Parents", at a rehearsal for a benefit (though she is interrupted by Derek before finishing) and then at the benefit, where she is heard singing the last few bars. Ana Vargas (Krysta Rodriguez) reprises part of the song in the eleventh episode of Season 2, entitled "The Dress Rehearsal", as part of rehearsing for a new opening for Hit List. The song is reprised twice in the thirteenth episode of Season 2 "The Producers", with Ana singing part of it at the beginning of a performance of Hit List while she fires a gun at an unknown person, while Karen sings it a little later in the show as part of the sequence where the Diva shoots Amanda (Karen). The song is lastly reprised in the seventeenth episode of Season 2 "The Tonys", where the Hit List cast (composed of Karen, Jimmy, Ana, Sam (Leslie Odom, Jr.)) and the Hit List ensemble perform an a cappella version of the song at the Tony Awards.
The song is available as a single with Jeremy Jordan's vocals only and on the digital album Smash: The Complete Season 2 with vocals from McPhee, Jordan, Rodriguez and Odom as seen in the seventeenth episode of Season 2.

(This is a DIFFERENT Kaylo. Not the one from my Balan Wonderworld stories)
So, I had this idea in my head for a while now, and it involves Kaylo, and the idea of her having a court, since she's the ruler of a kingdom. This however is no ordinary court. This consists of various children from throughout the Multiverse. So, I'm gonna list them out here.
Rules of the Court:
Any Child that joins the court MUST be at or under 16 years old (it's the Court of CHILDREN. Not teens or adults.)
The only people that know about the Court HAVE to be close to said Child (parents, close friends, family) other than that it's a complete secret (at least from mortals)
All kids in the court must take the "Immortal Promise" (A special pinkie Promise like ritual that ensures that a child freezes in the aging process. They can not, and WILL not age, as long as they have this promise
KEEP IN MIND! The list isn't complete, and more names will be added, so don't be surprised if the list looks longer
Kaylo's Court of Children and Kids
No kingdom is complete without a Court. And this is no exception with the pink haired ruler of Rhythm Heaven. Of course, this is no ordinary court. This court consists of the many children that exist around the Multiverse, that have all taken "The Immortal Promise", a promise that ensures that they live as long as Kaylo does, and still retain their youth

Girl Gone Bad is a horror/thriller written and directed by Kevin Schultz. It tells the story of Samantha, a moody teen who is planning on spending time with her girlfriend Amanda while her mom is out of town. While home, Samantha receives a disturbing text and realizes something terrible has happened to Amanda. At the same time, she is shocked to learn that an intruder has entered her home and quickly finds out that these two events have much more in common than one would think.
Samantha’s suspicions are true; the unthinkable happened. Somehow Samantha overpowers the intruder and holds him captive. He confirms her suspicions and this quickly turns from a physical fight to a game of mental chess. Samantha is heartbroken, full of vengeance, and plotting what her next move is going to be. I got the impression that she was already an angst-ridden teen even before this intrusion. Bitter for seemingly no reason and a bit snappy toward her mother. Although those are likely just typical teen traits.
THE GOOD
This film had a decent story that I don’t think I’ve seen before. Originality is always a plus. There were a few flashback scenes featuring Samantha and Amanda that provided some context as to why they were so close. Amanda was bullied a lot for being the eccentric girl at school and in the same instance, we see Samantha starting to get excluded from her own friend circle because of the interest she was showing towards Amanda.
Samantha was played by Alison Thornton and Nemo Cartwright played Les, the intruder ready to destroy Samantha’s life. I thought both actors did a great job portraying the cat and mouse in this game of wills, strategy, and survival. Do I think Samantha was taking things too far? Oh yes. Did she have a valid reason for what she was doing? That’s questionable. I suppose it depends on who you ask. With a story that portrays love, heartache as well and vengeance, it can be difficult to determine what one would personally do in such a situation. In the context of this film, it makes for a decent story.
THE BAD
Although some of the flashback scenes I felt were necessary to get some backstory on the characters, I did not think it was necessary to have as many as the movie portrayed. The ending is up for debate. It's alluded to that Samantha becomes some sort of vigilante who plans to snuff out those who have wronged others. I mean, I suppose that could be a direction she could go but it’s not very believable.
OVERALL
I thought this was a well-made film. I hope I did a good job of telling readers about the film without spilling all the beans on what truly took place (lol). If you’re so inclined, I say check out Girl Gone Bad and make up your mind as to whether Samantha made the right decisions.
Girl Gone Bad is currently streaming on VOD.
