Really just. Hating. Little Women makes me feel bad but also i think it spawned my hatred of the Victorian novel
#look. i know. im a queer woman who likes some of the classics. i know im supposed to like little women!#but i just. really hate it. probably also hate it bc it gets reccomended to me so much#also the sum total of victorian lit i actually enjoy (used loosely here) is the goblin market and sherlock holmes#all of the rest of it? no thank you! ever. please!#someone tries to make me read a dickens or a thackeray and i will not!#oh wait i do kinda like mayhew's essays on like. street piemen and flower sellers#anyways ive yet to find more than a handful of things written in the victorian era that are worth reading and im baffled by its popularity
