we used to install browser extension updates to fix dashboard and activity layout changes like every 6 months. I feel like everyone is just getting mad over aesthetics but perhaps I have simply gotten used to this kind of shit by now.

Intentional - Part 2
Pairing: Bang Chan x Reader (she/her)
Summary: Landing your first real job at JYPE was something short of a miracle. You were prepared to face the new struggles of this elusive career whilst moving to a new country, however, nothing could have prepared you for him. Will stolen glances, secret touches, and hushed nights spent in the recording room ever be enough for the both of you?
Genre: idol!bang chan au, forbidden relationship, coworkers to eventual lovers, slow burn
Warnings: none right now, eventual smut,
Word Count: 5.2k
Masterlist
A/N: o my god i did not expect so many people to have read the first part… even if only one person reads im still happy :D anyways heres the second part (i swear bang chan wont just be a side character later on hhahaha)
The insistent beeping of the alarm on your phone was what first woke you up from your dazed sleep. Your head still pounded from the night before, and frankly, you were ready to get fired for an extra five minutes of sleep. Tapping the ‘cancel’ button on your phone, you flipped over head down on your pillow to find the beautiful dreamland you were in. However, after just five more minutes, the triggering beeping of your backup alarm took you out of your slumber again, this time really waking you up.
You trudge towards your bathroom, still dreading the day, on your way to take a shower. Thankfully, the steam from the warm shower combined with the fragrant smell of your conditioner slightly woke you up and dampened the aching in your head.
Being drastically more awake than before, you made your way over to your kitchen to prepare breakfast. You opened the fridge, mind blank, just staring at the empty shelves. I seriously need to do some grocery shopping, you thought before grabbing an egg.
You struggled to turn on the stove, not knowing which knob correlated to which burner. Turning a random one, you flinched when an excessive amount of fire appeared. However, after an embarrassingly long amount of time, you finally figured out the stove. Why are there still gas range stoves when electrical stoves exist? You wondered.
You looked at the sad cooked egg in front of you.
Was this really how you were going to live from now on? You cursed your whole family for spoiling you so much back home. Sure you were grateful for being able to live with your family for twenty three years, but the consequences of your mother making a fuss when you tried to cook for yourself was really showing now.
You were about to dig into your lonely meal when your phone buzzed all of a sudden. Taking a quick peek at it, you saw Na-eun’s name flash up. You beamed with joy. Although you already worked up the nerve to be the first one to contact her, you were thankful she did first to break the tension. However, there was a small — microscopic even — part of you that wondered: what if that were Bang Chan?
You unlocked your phone.
Na-eun: Hey! I know it’s kinda last minute, but do you wanna meet for breakfast?
Na-eun: There’s a café five minutes away from the building.
Na-eun: ^-^
Smiling to yourself, you quickly typed a reply.
Y/n: Sure! My breakfast looks too sad to eat…
Y/n: ^-^
In a flash, you stuffed your egg into a plastic tupperware container and put it in the empty fridge before booking it out your door, making sure to carefully enter the passcode to lock it before running to the staircase. You almost tripped over the stairs going down as you tried to sprint and text Na-eun at the same time. Checking the maps app on your phone, you told her how long it would take for you to arrive at the café.
Na-eun: Do you mind if I bring my roommate? She keeps complaining about how boring it is at home haha....
Na-eun: She’s really nice though! ^^;
You happily agreed since you weren’t in the position to turn down another potential friend. Already two potential friends? You were so excited.
There was a bounce in your steps as you made your way down to the subway. Scanning your card, you made your way to the big group of people on the platform and waited for your train. Taking the subway was so new, yet refreshing. There was something exciting about seeing a brand new set of people board the cart every stop, it was almost like refreshing your Instagram feed over and over again.
After just a couple minutes more of waiting, your subway came. You naturally found your way in by shuffling along with the flock of people and found a good place to stand.
You surveyed your cart. Some high school students, a few elderly, and many many businesspeople dressed in attire very similar to you. They all seemed to be busy on their cellular devices, so you quickly pulled yours out as well, eager to blend in. Your little Tamagotchi friend was happy to see you.
The sound of the automated woman’s voice was what drew you out of your concentration, as she announced that the subway would be stopping at your destination next. When the subway stopped, the sea of people rushed out in a big tidal wave and you just went along with the flow.
The map posted on a big pillar in the station was difficult to read at first, but after embarrassingly asking a station officer, you were confident you knew where you were going. The station was big with many interwoven hallways, each connecting to a different location. It had a couple shops and convenience stores located along the sides where students running late could buy some bread or tired businesspeople could inject their early morning dose of caffeine.
You weaved your way through the long halls, confident that you could remember how you got out the right exit yesterday. Finally, after passing by many familiar stores and signs, you eventually made it above ground at the right exit. It was a cloudy September morning, the wind flew past you at just the right speed to elicit a slight shiver. You curse yourself for not bringing a jacket in your rush to the café. The streets were busy with cars zooming by, but it was nowhere near as congested as the subway traffic.
You started following your phone’s GPS to the marked location, and after a couple minutes, you spot the café. You immediately recognized it as a chain café as you’ve seen a few more of these scattered around the city as you got around. This one, however, appeared to be larger than the others (presumably because it was near so many big name companies) as it had three floors in total.
You texted Na-eun, telling her you’ve arrived. She let you know that they were both in one of the booths on the second floor, so you decided to order before heading up. Walking over to the cashier, you scanned their massive menu, trying to find what you were looking for.
“One mango juice, please.” You politely ordered. “And also a slice of the red velvet cake.”
After you had paid, you waited patiently, hands folded in front of you for your food. Because it wasn’t busy in the morning, it wasn’t that long until one of the baristas handed your food to you on a tiny plastic tray and you started making your way up. You reached the top floor and scanned your eyes around the room to find a familiar face.
“Y/n!” Na-eun waved.
You waved back and made your way over. She was in the booth, and there was another girl sitting beside her.
“Y/n, this is my roommate Yoojin.” She smiled at you and made a gesture towards the smaller girl sitting beside her. She was a fluffy haired girl. Her appearance was puppy-like, with her wide eyes and a large smile that was almost too big for her face.
“Hi Yoojin.” You said as you sat down.
“Hi Y/n! Na-eun told me about you yesterday. It seems like you have similar jobs.” She looked back at you with wide eyes. “But I think you got luckier because you actually get to interact with the idols.”
“I think both of us are lucky to even be working there,” you chuckled, “plus, I don’t actually get to be working directly with the artists. I could only wish.” You joked.
“Still extremely lucky, Na-eun told me she saw Bang Chan and Felix from Stray Kids at your building’s cafeteria yesterday.” Her hair bounced. “Finally, now I can say I’ve indirectly met famous people.”
You and Na-eun both laughed. Although Yoojin looked the same age as you, there was something about the way she acted that just seemed so precious and innocent — like a little sister. How old was she anyway?
“Yoojin’s younger than me by a few years,” Na-eun said as if she read your thoughts, “She graduated university a year early. Top of her programming class. She knows everything about technology; one time, I stupidly forgot the passcode to my P.O. box and she cracked it for me in less than fifteen minutes.”
“Stop it.” Yoojin whined, looking down and playfully hitting Na-eun on the shoulder. “I told you before that I don’t like it when you talk about me. Let’s talk about Y/n instead. Na-eun told me you’re not from here, what do you do at JYPE then?”
“I’m an assistant to help market some of the artists in China.” You leaned in a bit. “Actually, to be honest, I’m working on a secret project and Bang Chan from Stray Kids is technically part of the team.”
Both Yoojin and Na-eun’s eyes widened. “No way, you’re so lucky.” Yoojin said. “Why can’t you have a job like that?” She poked at Na-eun.
“Get your own job first,” Na-eun smirked, “then we can talk about mine.”
“Hey! I do have a job.” Yoojin clenched her jaw, looking at her plate and avoiding eye contact.
“I’m not sure if talking to people online all day counts as a job.”
“Whatever.” Yoojin swirled her fork on her plate, stabbing at a piece of her cake. The scraping of metal on ceramic made all of you wince.
“Anyways,” you started, trying to change the atmosphere, “did anybody watch the first episode of that new drama?”
The two girls seemed to have a mood switch, looking relieved to start a new conversation. They gladly added their input and opinions on the new drama, talking about both the plot and the actors. Time passed by twice as fast as the three of you sat at the booth talking about the most random things. However, it was soon time to go to work for both you and Na-eun.
“Hey, before you leave, could I get your number?” Yoojin asked. “We should hang out again sometime.”
You gladly typed your contact into her phone, excited to hang out with Yoojin again. She was so full of energy, it reminded you of your university days. Not to mention that fluffy curly hair. It was so cute.
You and Na-eun both made it out of the café and walked side-by-side over to your building before parting ways at the elevator corridor. It was a miracle that you managed to arrive at your cubicle in time, without getting lost. There was a pile of papers on your desk; they were the files you worked on yesterday. You remember that yesterday Manager Chen marked some improvements that could be made to the papers, but you checked your email just to be sure.
Hello Y/n,
I put the documents from yesterday on your desk for some final edits. I’ve also added a few more. Could you finish them all by the end of the day?
Best,
Manager Chen
You flipped through the stack of documents, and sure enough, there were about five more letters that needed to be worked on. Feeling determined, you gritted your teeth, got out your pen, and started to do your job.
There were more corrections to make than what you expected, plus, you wanted to make sure your work was perfect this time. You skipped a trip to the cafeteria for lunch and ate something from the vending machine at your desk instead. You tried your best to work diligently, but because of your inexperience, it was taking longer than expected. You lost track of time as the hours passed by.
“Your team is working hard today, Manager Chen.” A voice came from across the room. You looked up from your stack of documents to see Manager Kim walking over towards Manager Chen, who was standing casually outside her office doors.
“What can I say, I keep them busy.” She replied. “Are you heading home now?”
“Yes, and so should you.” Manaker Kim stopped at your cubicle, putting a hand on the wall. It was cat-like the way he looked at you. “Y/n, you’re working hard. Are you going home now? I’ll give you a ride.”
You couldn’t head home now, not with the amount of work you still had with the new letters Manager Chen added to the pile. “Thank you for the offer, Manager Kim, but I’ll stay later today. I need to finish this work by today.”
“Let her be, Manager Kim, you know how new employees are.” Manager Chen nagged and crossed her arms. “Come, I’ll walk you to the parking lot.”
You bowed at both your managers and stretched your back before getting back to your work. The black lines of both languages started to blur into one as you strained your eyes to hold a tighter focus on the documents. It wasn’t until two more gruesome hours later when you finished your work. You did a long deserved stretch of the arms and checked the clock for the time, praying that it wasn’t too late. Thankfully, with the time being only eight, it wasn’t that dark out. You took a quick peek at your phone to check your notifications before leaving the office.
There were only two texts sent fifteen minutes ago. Both from Bang Chan.
Your chest tightened when you unlocked your phone.
Bang Chan: Hey, I know it’s a bit late, but I have some ideas for the project and I was thinking we could meet up to discuss them
Bang Chan: Only if you want that is…
Your brain was in jumbles as you thought of what to text back. There were a couple staff that wrote you emails about their ideas for the project, but none of them asked to meet in person. And now, the first person who asked you to have a meeting in person was Bang Chan. Whom you rode back to your apartment drunk with. On your first day at work. And now you missed his work-related text by fifteen minutes. However, even though it was late, you still felt like you needed to take his ideas in. After all, like Manager Chen said, you know how new employees are.
Y/n: Hi, sorry my reply is late… Are you still free?
You anxiously stared at the blue-lit screen of your phone, jumping in and out of the text app waiting for a reply. After less than a minute, you saw the little dots at the bottom which indicated that he was typing. It disappeared for a moment, only to come back less than a second later. Your thumbs started unconsciously fiddling with one another in front of your phone screen as you waited for what felt like eternity.
Bang Chan: It’s alright haha
Bang Chan: There’s a cafe about 5 minutes from our building, wanna meet there?
You immediately knew which café he was talking about as you conveniently hung out with Na-eun there this morning. You texted Bang Chan back, letting him know that you would be there as soon as possible. You grabbed your bag, along with your trusty pen and notebook, before leaving your desk for the elevators. The elevator ride was unusually fast as it was already well past working hours for most people.
Once you were out of the building, you made your way down the familiar sidewalk, passing by the familiar street shops as you felt the bite of the wind against your face. The sky was becoming dim as the sun made its descent, but the illumination coming from the streetlamps helped guide you there. After five minutes of a brisk walk, you saw the familiar sign of the café. You also saw a familiar person standing outside the door, dressed in all black, with his head down looking at his phone.
You tried to make your footsteps slightly louder the closer you got to him in order to make your presence known. It seemed to have worked, as Bang Chan heard you and turned his head up. He immediately gave you a boyish grin, putting his phone in the pocket of his hoodie and pulling his face mask down to his chin.
“Hey,” You waved awkwardly, “did I make you wait long?”
“Not at all.” Bang Chan said as he held open the door, “Let’s go in, it’s pretty chilly today.”
You thanked him and walked inside. You both made your way to the cashier and looked up at the menu, deciding on what to buy.
“I think I’ll get an iced americano.” Bang Chan said. “Are you getting anything?”
“Hmm. I might get the mango juice.” You decided and lined up behind Bang Chan, waiting for him to order first.
Bang Chan walked up to the waiting barista. “Hello, I’ll get an iced americano please.” A second passed. “Also a mango juice.”
Your eyes widened as you silently tried to stop him from buying your drink, feeling embarrassed that Bang Chan — who was essentially your coworker — was buying your drink. He didn’t seem to notice your quiet protests, as he pulled his card out of his wallet and quickly tapped it on the pin pad. After he was done paying, he turned around and tucked his card back in his wallet, giving you a smug grin.
“I’ll pay you back later.” You insisted, embarrassed once again that he was doing something for you.
“Of course, of course.” He casually replied and stood beside you with his hands in the pocket of his hoodie. “I’ll wait for our drinks. You can go find a table.”
You nodded and left to find a table on the first floor. Surprisingly, there were more people there at night than when you were there in the morning. Some people had their textbooks out to study, some were quietly enjoying a book. Some were on dates.
Finally, after weaving through many fully filled tables, you found an empty one near the table. You sat down, taking out your pen and notebook to prepare for Bang Chan’s ideas. Not long after, you saw Bang Chan walking around, turning his head left and right to look for you. You caught his eye as you waved at him to come over. He strolled over and put the tray of drinks down on the table, placing yours beside your notebook.
“So,” You took a sip of your delicious mango juice, “do you wanna get started now?”
“Sure.” His usually friendly face turned serious. It seemed like he took his work seriously. “So I was thinking, we need to film some content to start promoting our debut right? How about we film content for the Mid-Autumn Festival? It falls on the same day as Chuseok, so we can use this as a small promotion for our debut.”
You nodded in agreement. Although this idea would be a little last minute to carry out, it was a great opportunity to promote their group in order to gain more popularity before their debut in China. “This is a great idea Bang Chan,” You hurriedly jotted down everything he said, “did you have more to add on?”
“We could make several episodes of this content. I was thinking we could camp in the mountains and maybe cook some food, make mooncakes.”
“All of this is really good, we have three weeks until the actual Mid-Autumn Festival. If I rush this idea to Manager Chen, we could have one week to plan it, and two weeks to film and produce it.” You beamed, glad that you could be involved in a potential big production.
You and Bang Chan kept discussing his idea for content, and as time passed, your conversation turned more casual as it eventually evolved into topics unrelated to work.
“So, why are you having coffee this late anyway?” You tipped your chin towards his glass.
“There’s this part of a song I’m working on that I just can’t get perfect,” Bang Chan noticeably clenched his jaw, “I wanna figure it out before I leave.”
“Do you usually stay up late to work?” You asked.
“I can’t sleep anyways, so I might as well work.”
“Insomnia?” You questioned. He shrugged his shoulders and took a sip of his coffee. A few seconds of silence passed. “You know, my mom made me pack some of her special tea before leaving. She said it was for jet lag, which is weird because there’s only a time difference of an hour here.” You rambled.
“Oh?” Bang Chan tipped his head.
“I could give you some tomorrow.” You said. Your eyes wandered everywhere except to him. “If you want.”
“Really, you’d do that?” His eyes widened as he stirred his coffee with his straw.
It may have been your subconscious need to make friends, or just the fact that you mom gave you so much tea for your non-existent jet lag, but you gladly offered your mom’s solve-all remedy. “Of course, anything for a friend.”
He blinked a couple times. He stopped stirring his coffee. “Thanks.” He looked at you with a slight grin.
“Plus, this way I can pay you back.” You teased.
“Okay, fair enough.” He chuckled. A dimple appeared on his cheek as his smile widened. “But seriously, you don’t need to worry about paying me back for anything next time.”
Next time? You wondered. Of course he would have more ideas for his own group. You wanted to roll your eyes at yourself. It seemed like, despite his easy-going personality, that he cared a lot about not only his job, but the boys he worked with. His work ethic inspired you and made you want to work just as hard as he did. Except you definitely couldn’t stay up as late as he did.
The two of you kept up the back and forth that was established, talking about whatever came to mind, with a few sprinklings of work-related conversations throughout. You talked about your first day impressions and how well you were adjusting to life in a new country, and he retaliated by sharing his own experiences of moving across the world. You were so enraptured by your riveting conversations that you easily lost track of time. It wasn’t until you had already spent minutes playing around with your straw in the empty glass that you finally remembered how late it was.
“It’s kinda late, I think I should get going now.” You said as you checked your phone for the time.
“Are you taking the subway?” He asked as he started gathering the empty glasses. “It’s pretty dark now — I could walk you there.”
“It’s alright. I don’t wanna take time from your work” You said, gathering your notebook and pen.
“It’s no problem, really, it’s just a five minute walk.” He stood up with the tray of empty glasses in one hand and pulled up his face mask with the other.
The two of you left the café and walked the short distance to the subway stairs. There, you parted ways and you started your trek home. Taking the subway at night was vastly different from morning; the morning rush was filled with rows and rows of busy people, whereas the night train had a completely different feeling to it. There were actually available seats, to begin with. You found an empty seat and took out your phone to kill time. You checked your missed notifications.
Yoojin: Hi Y/n!! ^-~ Today was so fun, we should go again sometime!
You smiled at the little text from Yoojin, visioning her wide smile stretch across her face. Texting a quick reply back, you were about to put your phone back down when another notification popped up.
Unknown: Stay away from him. This is a warning.
A flash of panic rushed through your body making your chest tighten. Your heart was coming out of your chest, the beating was so hard you could hear it even in the running subway. Completely fixated on the bright white of your phone, your eyes strained from the light. Adrenaline filled your blood, and in the spur of the moment, you quickly blocked the number and deleted the text chain. It had to just be a prank text, after all, you have gotten pranked through text multiple times before in your past.
You put your phone down slowly, turning your head to survey your subway cart for any suspicious acting people. There was only a grandma with her cane and a few middle school girls comparing their new lip tints. Your thumbs naturally started fiddling with each other. Your eyebrows knit together as you clutched your bag tight to your body for the rest of the subway ride.
The walk back to your apartment was done carefully. You chose the side of the sidewalk with more light as you kept your senses open, trying to remember the face of every person that walked past you. Although it was more likely than not that the text was just a prank, you were still somebody living alone with very few connections in a new country. Your legs quickened at the thought and you hurried your way back.
Arriving at your apartment door, you carefully entered your lock combination and slammed your door shut, double checking that it was locked. Your home was dark, with only the moon casting long shadows on your furniture. You quickly switched your light on. You tried to put this text to the back of your mind as you got ready to sleep, but it loomed, feeling like a shadow cast by the moon. The shadow in your mind stayed as you closed your eyes, waiting for your sleep to chase it away.
The next morning, you woke up to the obnoxious beeping of your alarm. You sleepily sat up, getting ready to perform your familiar morning routine. Everything felt like routine, so monotonous that the text from last night was completely forgotten. You opened the fridge and ate your suspicious egg from yesterday morning.
Before leaving, you suddenly remembered to bring your mom’s magical tea. You rummaged through the cupboards until you found the ridiculous packaging your mom insisted on using.
The route to work was already starting to feel familiar as you mindlessly made your way from your quaint apartment all the way to the opulent blue building. You entered the office and sat at your desk, checking for new emails. After nothing of immediate importance came up, you got out your notebook and started to type up your notes from yesterday.
You were in a trance. The repetitive task of reading and typing completely hypnotised you as hours passed by without you even noticing. What broke you out of your trance, however, was the voice of your boss.
“Bang Chan.” Manager Chen called out. You looked up from your monitor and peeked up from your cubicle to see the familiar hair of a certain man you knew. Assuming he was here for a meeting with Manager Chen, you went back to your hypnotising work. The walls of your cubicle were too high for him to see you anyways — something about eliminating distractions to maximise work efficiency.
You hit ‘enter’ on your keyboard to start a new paragraph when all of a sudden, you spotted an object appear on your desk from the corner of your eye.
A bottle of mango juice.
Quickly turning your head around, you were met with Bang Chan’s back. He was already making strides towards Manager Chen, but something about the sway of his broad shoulders and the way his right hand stretched open told you that it was him who gave you this little bottle of happiness. You unscrewed the lid and took a sip before getting back to work.
Thankfully, the gift you received was enough sugar content to keep you working efficiently for the rest of the day. You had finished all your work and could hopefully pitch Manager Chen the idea by tomorrow. You found your mom’s tea in your bag while gathering your stuff, remembering your promise to Bang Chan.
Y/n: Hey, I have my mom’s tea — I could give it to you right now?
There was a reply almost immediately.
Bang Chan: Sure ^^ I’m in a practice room on floor X right now, I’ll wait by the elevators.
You made your way over to the elevators and tapped your nails on the package of tea whilst silently waiting for an elevator to arrive. The silence, however, was promptly cut off as your phone started to ring. It was from Yoojin. She probably wants to hang out soon, you thought as you happily answered right away.
“Y/n!” Yoojin yelled into the phone, she sounded worried.
“Yoojin, is there something wrong?” You frowned, concerned for the girl.
“I-I was in the parking lot near your building, a-and I fell down the stairs.” She sniffed. “I think I sprained my ankle or something — I can’t stand up. It hurts so much.”
“Oh god, Yoojin, do you want me to come help?” You were in the elevator by now, already pressing the button for the main floor.
“If you’re not far, I don’t want to trouble you.” You heard sounds of her wincing.
“It’s no trouble Yoojin,” You exclaimed, “your ankle is much more important now. I’ll be right there.”
“Thank you Y/n.” You heard her sniff again through the phone.
You bolted out of the elevator as soon as it reached the main floor, stuffing your forgotten package in your bag. Ignoring the looks of confusion of the people you sprinted past, you located the parking lot building as soon as you left the main doors of the JYPE building. Your chest burned and your breaths were heavy.
You were worried for Yoojin. She seemed like such a sweet girl that it pained you to even imagine her hurt in any sort of way. With her fluffy hair and wide eyes, it made you feel like you were helping an injured puppy.
Your legs felt like concrete after a while of running, but you finally made it to the parking lot building. Entering the parking lot, you looked for any sign of a staircase where Yoojin said she fell on. There were none.
“Excuse me, where are the stairs to this parking lot?” You asked the parking lot attendant, assuming it was just hidden somewhere.
“There are no stairs here,” He said, “if you want to get to the second floor, there is an elevator over there.” He pointed to the other side of the lot.
You thanked the man and ran to the elevator, hoping Yoojin wasn’t too hurt by now. You’ve experienced injuries like these before whilst playing sports back home, they hurt like hell. Your breathing was staggered by the time you reached the elevator, however, you didn’t give up and kept looking around trying to find the girl. There was nobody. You were about to call Yoojin again just to make sure you were in the correct place, but a voice interrupted you.
“Y/n.”
It was Manager Kim.

How To Set Up Your Own Discord Bot: A Guide [v13 update]
Step 1: Go to https://discord.com/developers/applications
Make sure you are signed in to discord. On the top right hand corner, you will see a button that says New Application. Get to clicking!
Step 2: You will be asked for a name. This could be any name, but preferably the one you want your bot to have. Make sure it has a cool name, like Potato Queen, or Jack the Ripped Bot.
Once you have done that, click Create.
Step 3: You will come to a page that shows all the General Information. But you have not created your bot yet! This is just the application page. You can put in your App Icon, Description and the likes, before clicking on Bot at the side bar.
Step 4: You should reach a page with a button that says Add Bot. Well, what are you waiting for? Go ahead and click it!
A whole new page will pop up, with information about your new bot. Remember, you can’t destroy a bot, so make sure you’re definitely wanting a bot when you’re doing this.
From here, you can see your bot’s username as well as its profile picture. You can change it if you want.
IMPORTANT: There is also something called Token. YOU SHOULD NEVER SHOW THIS TO ANYONE ELSE. It is the one thing that will bring your bot to life (it basically controls your bot) and if it’s out in the open, it is best to regenerate a new one.
When you scroll down, you will see Authorization Flow. This is where you can choose to make your bot public or private. Making it public means that others can add it to their own servers, without your help. If it’s private, only YOU can add this bot to servers.
Step 5: Invite your bot into your server.
The link to do this should be: https://discord.com/oauth2/authorize?client_id=[clientidhere]&scope=bot&permissions=[permissionnumber]
An example is: https://discord.com/oauth2/authorize?client_id=707835242475421767&scope=bot&permissions=8 [this has admin permissions]
or you can just use: https://discord.com/oauth2/authorize?client_id=707835242475421767&scope=bot
And you’re done! At least with the application part.
NOW WE MOVE ON TO THE CODING PART. [Note: This is in JS because I love JS. Someday I might do a guide for Python too but we will see.]
The basic things you need: 1. Visual Studio Code 2. Node JS
You can see how to download either one from HERE.
Then, you will need to download discord.js.
Create a folder for your discord bot things, and then open up Visual Studio Code.
Create a new file called index.js and this will be your main page, where you get your bot running. The basic codes inside it would be:
TOKEN: Remember that token that I said you can’t tell anyone? Yeah, put it in there like client.login(”IWEUTWEITU”) where that keysmash is your token.
From here, if you’re using Visual Studio Code, just go to your console.
NOTE: If you do not know where to find the console, follow this:
Click Terminal from the top tab > New Terminal. This will pull up the console for you.
Make sure that the directory of your terminal is the place where your index.js file is at. If not, you can always use ls to list the different folders in that directory and cd to change into that directory as shown below:
My terminal was in the Github folder and I used ls to list all the folders in the Github folder. From there, I can see the cafe-bot folder where my hello.js file is located in. So I used cd cafe-bot to move into that folder.
From there, type npm install discord.js

birthday.
synopsis!it all happened with a cake and some cupcakes.
wc!2.2k
pairing!sakusa kiyoomi x gn!reader
a/n!HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO THE LOML!! have this one shot i wrote.
the early morning’s sun shone through the thin curtain of your window. you rubbed your eyes awake and stretched your arms over your head, before sliding the curtain to the right side and admiring the sunset. the way all the hues– orange, yellow, pink –mixed together reminded you of the way sakusa’s face would blush when you called him pet-names.
sakusa loved pet-names, and that was a thing no one knew about him, except for you. kiyoomi classified you as someone he could always trust, so he told you about his day first thing when he got back. you're his walking diary, and you didn't mind it.
he told you jokes that atsumu told him, he’d tell you about the way his favourite chemicals work, he’d show you a new way to spike or ask you to help him exercise his wrists.
you blasted your favourite songs, from the playlist you and kiyoomi created, while getting ready. today was a saturday, the least busy day of your week, so you decided to just roam the streets of tokyo and try to find something to spend your time on.
sakusa, on the other hand, was tracking how much his heartbeat rises whenever he looks at you. he had pictures of you, and himself, in a special folder in his phone, and choosing one of the pictures, he looked down at the fitbit on his wrist and saw his heartbeat rise.
he, also, decided to play some music while still thinking of you. he had a separate playlist on another music app (so you couldn't see it), and it was all songs that reminded him of you. the current song playing was yellow by coldplay. he knew that the song had a meaning, and he knew he had to find his own yellow, or soulmate as people like to say, yet he thought it’d be obsessive if he called you his soulmate. for that exact reason, he hid the playlist in another app, moved all the pictures with you into the hidden part of his gallery and tried to shake off any thoughts about you.
his fingers tapped the screen of his phone as he dialed your phone number, which he had memorised, before hovering his finger over the green ‘call’ button. what if you're busy? he wouldn't want to disturb your day, neither would he want to be annoying. he went over all the possible what if’s, and by the time he gathered the courage, you had facetimed him instead.
“hey, omi-omi,” you huffed, your breath creating warm fumes in the cold air. god, how he loved when you called him that; even if atsumu came up with the nickname, you saying it was a whole different feeling. if atsumu continued calling him that, he’d make a disgusted face and swat him away, however, when ‘omi-omi’ leaves your lips, his heart does a double backflip and lands into a split. he feels delighted and bright inside.
“hey, y/n.” he answered, checking his fitbit and seeing his heartbeat spike up higher than before. he hid that hand in his pocket as he started strutting around his living room while talking to you. you offered to meet up and spend the day together, as neither of you had any plans and were incredibly bored. (and it was also his birthday, which he thought you forgot about.)
“uh,” sakusa hesitated, calculating everything that could go wrong if he said yes, but then imagining you get upset if he said no. “..sure. let me get ready and i’ll meet you there.”
“yay!” you exclaimed, before blowing a kiss at him and ending the call. sakusa sighed, placing the phone in his pocket and getting ready to go out.
“omi!!” you exclaimed, wrapping your arms around his neck as he leaned down and wrapped his around your waist, pulling you into a warm and tight hug. sakusa pulled away after inhaling enough of your smell. (he didn't want to be weird, but he likes the perfume you use and how you overall smell.)
“let’s go to that café we always go to,” you smiled at him as you grabbed his arm and pulled him towards the café. sakusa hated crowded places, you knew that, but he had given you consent to bring him anywhere as long as you're there with him.
he feels safe when you’re around him; you're like a walking home to him. he always feels comfortable, the way you’d feel sitting by a fireplace on a cold, winter morning. his hands don't feel weird holding yours, and if it was anyone else he’d hide his hands in his pockets, but he appreciated you and felt comfortable enough to, maybe, share some germs with you.
“hey, you okay?” you pouted, seeing sakusa’s eyebrows knitted and his face showing signs of overthinking; for the past few years of knowing sakusa, you picked up on his habits and the way he handled situations. he’d make a certain face when overthinking, secretly pinch the back of his hand when he’s nervous or jog a little faster when he’s excited to see you.
all of this knowledge about your best friend still didn't save you from what was about to come. sakusa gave you a bright smile, a prominent dimple decorating his cheek as he told you, “i’m okay, y/n. let’s go get the coffee and head to go shopping.”
“you..” a mumble left your lips as you placed a hand over your mouth. you were surprised– no, you were smitten. it felt like the whole world stopped and it was just you and him in the café, standing in line and looking at each others eyes. your heartbeat reached the highest of numbers as you felt the sight of sakusa’s dimples engrave his name into your heart.
“i.. what? do i have something on my face?” sakusa quickly put on his mask and hid his face behind the large palms of his hands. he was self-conscious about his own looks, even though he's been trending on social platforms for being one of the most handsome faces.
“no..” you hummed, still amazed by the way you couldn't notice it before. you grabbed his hands and removed them from his face, holding them tightly and saying, “you.. you have a dimple”
“oh, yeah.” sakusa let out a small chuckle. “it came up recently. did you like it?”
“i love it.”
sakusa blushed, but his mask concealed it completely. he motioned for you to go order first, as he ordered after you and you left the café with two coffee’s in both your hands. sakusa offered his hand, which you politely agreed to hold, and you both started walking towards one of the many shops.
“wait here,” you spoke, giving him a reassuring smile as you left him to sit at the bench outside of the cake shop. you decided to confess today, even though it was his birthday. it’d be like a gift, right? you ordered the cake and waited for it to be done. you saw sakusa doodling something on the small hand sanitizer bottle that he had gotten.
it was a pineapple scented hand sanitizer, one of your favourite scents. you knew he didn't like scented hand sanitizers, so why did he buy it? maybe it’s for a friend, a family member. either way, you smiled at the thought of omi finally finding a pair. he was always so closed off and never wanted to have a s/o, but maybe this change was good. good for both you and him.
what you didn't know, was that he didn't want an s/o, because he had you. he knew that one day, he’d gather enough courage and ask you out, ask you to be his. while waiting for you to get back, he took out the scented hand sanitizer and a pack of sticky notes, along with a pen. he came up with this idea while getting dressed to meet you. he thinks he’s ready.
you came back with a box of cupcakes and a cake box stacked on your hands. sakusa stood up and helped you by taking off the top box. (which, luckily, was only the cake.)
you decided to go back home before giving him the cupcakes. the train ride back was quiet, you both exhausted from walking and talking about nonsense. sakusa’s arm was draped around your shoulders, while the other one held the cake box. you got comfortable and placed your head on his shoulder while closing your eyes.
“don’t fall asleep yet, y/n.” sakusa huffed through his mask. you looked up at him, your eyes forming crescent moons as you smiled. he felt his heart flip and turn, tugging at his chest. his lungs tensed and it felt hard to breathe. “i won't fall asleep, omi-kun.” you grinned, turning your gaze down to where your phone was. you clicked the camera icon in the list of apps and turned it around to face you. sakusa noticed and put up a peace sign as you took a picture. you giggled and accidentally clicked the sound up button, which took a picture of you smiling brightly and sakusa’s eyes forming small crescent moons as he smiled slightly under his mask. the picture was unexpected, but it was one of the best you’ve ever taken.
“omi-kun! look at how pretty you look!” you exclaimed, zooming into his face in the picture. sakusa looked closely, trying to figure out what was ‘pretty’ about him in that picture.
“i don't see it.” sakusa raised a brow, admitting to not knowing how beautiful he was. you sighed, rolling your eyes and looking up at sakusa. “stop saying that, omi-omi. you’re handsome and you know that!” you pouted, which caused sakusa to smile a little. he knew he was handsome, but he enjoyed hearing you call him that.
“do you think i should post this?” you asked, typing out a caption under the said picture. sakusa eyed the caption; on the move with my favourite boy!! @msby.sakusa <3 . sakusa nodded and so you proceeded to hit ‘post’.
sakusa invited you to go to his house after the trip, which was unusual, because he doesn't prefer people entering his home. you carefully took off your shoes in the corridor and placed them in the right place before entering his home.
the house he had was located in the further east part of tokyo. it didn't have many houses around it, which seemed fitting for sakusa's taste. the interior part of his house was decorated with few paintings and other home decor. one of which caught your eye; it was a picture frame of him and the msby team, another picture frame next to it had you and sakusa in it. you softly ran your finger over sakusa’s face in the picture, smiling to yourself. sakusa quietly observed you from the doorway to his living room. he leaned on the wall, arms crossed on his chest and a small, genuine, smile on his face. you placed the picture down and turned to see sakusa eyeing you. a blush creeped upon your face as you fixed your hair and entered the living room.
“so, uhm..” you started. “i asked you to hang out because it's your birthday and i didn't want you to be alone during such a special day.” sakusa’s heart already melting at what was about to come. “i got you this cake, which you already saw, but i also got you these cupcakes. “ you handed him the box, which he opened. he widened his eyes at the icing on the cupcakes. each of the cupcakes spelled out “i like you.”, which sakusa thought was a dream. he quickly pulled out the sanitizer and note from his back pocket and gave it to you. “i guess both of us had something we wanted to confess…” sakusa spoke as you read the note.
y/n, i like you. be mine?
it was straight-forward, yet it made your heart flutter at such care. you returned your gaze at sakusa, who was still eyeing the cupcakes he had placed on the table. he looked back at you, opening his arms to embrace you in a hug, which you gladly took. pulling him in close, you hoped this moment would never end. his arms embraced you in the warmth of his body as he mumbled something into your hair. only a while after, you realised he kept saying ‘be mine, be mine, be mine’
“i’m yours, kiyoomi.” you answered, looking up at him. his face was painted a light shade of crimson, which you found cute. it was just like the sunset this morning, you thought. sakusa leaned in, hesitating to press his lips on yours. you noticed, and leaned in to save him the struggle.
you both pulled away after a while, both of your faces tinted with blush. sakusa let go of you and went to open the cake box. his heart strings tugged as he read what was written on the cake;
happy birthday, omi-kun ♡︎
and to his diary, kiyoomi spoke; “thank you for the best birthday i’ve ever had, darling.”

Online Safety for Vp’s Fan Minors
There seems to be an undercurrent of misopedia (hatred of children) that is persistent to Vp’s old to new works from Zoophobia to Helluva Boss.
This attracts a type of adult fans who share the same sentiment and may go as far as to harass fan minors online. Simply because they didn’t like what a minor said.
Even though Vp’s works are for the adult audience, it cannot be denied that part of the fandom are minors.
I’m not encouraging minors to join the fandom. If you’re a fan minor who wants to interact with the fandom, no one can stop you. But you might as well ensure you’re taking the precautionary steps to avoid being harassed or doxxed.
This can also apply to other fandoms.
Here are some of the ways you can do to stay safe:
The Basics: Use an Informal Account
When interacting with a fandom, use an account that doesn’t contain any of your private information:
Full name
Last name
Names of your family members
Year of your birthday
Current location
Home or school address of you or your family or friends
Phone numbers
Photos or videos of yourself
Avoid connecting your fandom account to your Facebook.
By your consideration, you can choose to give general information that you are comfortable giving. But never give anything specific that could lead to people identifying you and finding you.
You don’t have to prove anything. If you mention a part of your identity such as gender or age, and someone asks for photos to prove it, that’s an invasion of your privacy. You have every right to say no.
Doxxers scour for information that their targets have put in their accounts. Delete any content that you think you might’ve overshared.
I used to have a mutual who had been targeted by doxxers and they listed her tumblr main blog, side blogs, Reddit page, Tappy Toon profile and Youtube channel (with videos of herself) for other doxxers to follow in the attempt to get her location.
These doxxers have also recorded one of my mutual’s author page, main blogs, side blogs, every trivia she had mentioned of her personal life. Her ex-mutual sold her out and gave them the link of her selfie she had posted on an obscure sideblog long ago.
They also tried to go after a minor but because he only interacted with the fandom using his sideblog, the doxxers weren’t able to get much of his history that they can use against him.
These were all in the Hazbin Hotel fandom. Don’t make it easy for doxxers.
Secure your Email Address
To prevent harassers from following you out of social media and directly into your email address, make sure your username is different from your email address.
If my username is is RedSocks, a doxxer can guess my email address as [email protected] or [email protected]
Check your App’s Privacy Settings
Take your time to browse through your App’s privacy settings. Twitter allows you to customize discoverability and who can DM you. In Reddit, you can turn off the visibility of which communities you are most active. You can also turn off your location in Instagram.
Trust Your Creep Alert
If someone asks for your age out of the blue, you don’t need to share it. Especially when you’re uncomfortable doing it.
You can say 10+ or say it’s private information. If they persist, you have every right to block them.
This goes to any interaction that feels off to you. Trust your gut.
Your Safety, Your Boundaries
If you receive a mean comment, it’s best not to engage. A response or a retaliation makes the harasser feel empowered. At best, you can block them. You don’t owe them any explanation.
Or you can 1,) simply reply that you’re not comfortable with them talking to you, 2.) then block them. Don’t look back.
Block, Report, Move on
Don’t feed the troll. It makes them feel like they have control over you because they don’t feel like they have control over their lives. If someone makes a post that goes against your social media’s “no hateful conduct” rule, simply block, report and move on.
Save the Evidence
If needed, the printscreen button of your keyboard is your friend. Get screen captures of your unwanted interactions. This is useful for mutual-turned-sour situations. In case things would escalate, you can always report them with the evidence or show to someone who could help like a trusted adult.
And a gentle reminder to both adult and minor fans:
Curate Your Fandom Experience
Fans would sometimes use Vp’s characters to explore dark themes. If some content disturbs you or depresses you, use that mute feature liberally. Block the tags. Or unfollow the people who make them. Fandom is a place where we get a bit of reprieve by being entertained. It shouldn’t be at the cost of your mental health.
Self-Regulate
There are times we get too caught up with a topic, that we need to step back and take a break. Or when we get too absorbed with a character’s misbelief or a ship that our brains convinced us it’s right or official. There is a certain freedom in the web. But it also comes with the responsibility of taking care of your health and not overstepping other people’s boundaries.

Based on: harry is on tour and y/n posts a picture with a co-worker on a night out and he gets jealous and frustrated cause he hasn't seen his girl in a while.... he does something stupid that goes viral and breaks her heart but the co-worker is just a really good friend of hers and is happily married or something.... idk if it's a good idea but you can make it very angsty cause i love it hahahah (ooh-so-laura)
Word Count: 1457 words
Warnings: fluff, angst
Being on tour meant that Harry was away from Y/N for most of the year and that completely takes a toll on a relationship. It wasn’t because their love for each other lacked in any way, shape, or form. It was just that distance can strain even a strong relationship like theirs in subtle ways. So subtle that Harry didn’t even notice that he had gone a couple of days without video calling his lover, or that she wasn’t updating him every hour on her annoying work colleagues-- which was unusual for her, considering that she was practically attached to her cell for hours on end.
So when Harry finally had the time off to catch up with the rest of himself, alongside the buzzing environment of traveling and touring-- his first instinct was to grasp his phone and dial Y/N’s number, not even considering the time difference of their home to his location for the next twenty-four hours.
He waited and waited for what seemed like forever--he thought it was interchangeable considering he hadn’t talked to her in ages--he was surprised (not really) that it went to her voicemail. Harry knew that Y/N loved her sleep. He switched off the Clock app, finding out that it was only a quarter past nine and there was absolutely no way that she would be asleep at this hour.
He tried twice, to no avail. His eyebrows furrowed in wonder and curiosity, lips pursing in a slight pout as a sudden wave of sadness overcame him and he realized that he’d probably have to wait for a bit more time until he got to talk to Y/N.
---
As private as he is, Harry still kept up to date with the latest news through social media. He has been extra cautious as of late ever since he accidentally posted a picture of him wearing a cartoon shirt to his public Instagram story, mistaking taking it for the green, ‘close friends’ button. He made sure to keep his thumb a few centimeters more away from the sensitive screen as to not accidentally double-tap a picture he had no intentions of liking. He scrolled quickly, his eyes boring the screen in a swift glance, not really being interested in anything he was seeing.
He soon moved on to his next task--to check everyone’s story. Loud sounds and pounding music got lagged through as he tapped on the right side of his screen, cutting off the video midway. He was still uninterested.
Harry refreshed his feed, letting the loading logo swirl through circularly. Needless to say, he was stunned when he saw Y/N’s latest post, uploaded only a few minutes ago.
There it was in large format, a picture of his girl and a--not going to lie-- a very decent looking man in a slick navy blue suit with a red tie. He figured he would’ve been more up-front of his obvious distaste of the man if he hadn’t worn such a color-coordinated suit. Snickering to himself, Harry thought he could probably show him up with a Gucci patterned suit of his that he’ll pull off no matter what.
But nonetheless, the look was effortless and Harry was sure that he would’ve liked the man very much if it weren’t for Y/N appearing beside him. That alone caused a scowl to appear on his face and the next thing he knew; he was calling his girlfriends’ number with forceful taps of his calloused thumbs.
Y/N looked great, obviously. And maybe that’s why he was impatiently muttering to himself for her to pick up the phone. Harry didn’t know if he should complement the dress she wore or mention the fact that her lipstick was perfectly painted on her pouty lips, or how her hair was styled in a way that reminded him of date nights that ended in passionate lovemaking.
His chest ached suddenly, emotions overwhelming the fact that he missed his girl so much added with the boiling jealousy bubbling in his blood. The call went to voicemail and normally he would patiently wait a few minutes before calling again. However, Y/N’s profile rimmed a colorful hue, indicating that she just recently uploaded a story.
He didn’t know what to make of her actions-- if she deliberately ignored him or she simply did not hear her ringtone alarming that he was calling. He called again.
“Who’s that in your photo?” He growled, demanding for an answer instead of greeting his lover.
Y/N furrowed her brows at his sudden rough voice filling the speaker of her phone, “Hello to you, too”
“Who was that?” Harry repeated. He couldn’t help his fingers from fidgeting against a stray string of his knitted jumper. “Is there something you’re not telling me?”
“That was Kevin,” Y/N answered loudly, loud music blaring through her soft voice. “Did you like his suit? He said it was Gucci, but he wouldn’t let me see the tag,” She chuckled at the end, oblivious at the burning jealousy coursing through Harry.
“Kevin, huh?” Harry mocked. “I’m sure it was Gucci and I guarantee that he wouldn’t mind taking it off to show you,”
He could hear you excusing yourself from the crowd. His phone speaker muted to a quieter atmosphere--he assumed you moved outside.
“What’s that supposed to mean?”
“God, Y/N. I haven’t seen you in so long and the first thing I see is with you and some other guy!”
“And whose fault is that?” She bit back, hoping to get some sense into his head before she hung up.
Sighing in frustration, Harry changed to a decent attire, quickly grabbing the things he needed for a night out. Needless to say, the next morning was interesting for both of them.
———
Headlines of Harry were plastered everywhere, mostly discussing his wild night out wherein pictures of women grinding against him were linked. He didn’t have an ounce of alcohol last night, but the hazy atmosphere of the club surely made his mind boggled.
“Oh shit,” He muttered silently to himself, sitting up in his otherwise empty hotel bed.
—-
Y/N understood that he was busy as of late, especially since he was in the middle of touring. Their video calls for the past couple weeks dwindled into a good morning or good night message and as much as she wanted to beg him for a few minutes to see his faced in a pixelated screen--she knew that he just didn’t have enough* time to do so.
But apparently he had enough time to go out. She thought. She shook off the thought, knowing that jealousy and jumping into conclusion never ended in a quiet stupor.
Instead, she examined the pictures closely as much as the blurry pixels let her. Seeing the emptiness in his eyes and the slouch of his shoulders caught her attention. His hands were to himself, seeming as though he did not care enough to push the women off of him but had no intentions to enjoy the movements against his body. And frankly, Y/N should be angry at him for doing something so stupid. But she also couldn’t ignore her instincts that all he needed was a reassurance that their love was still very much alive.
She called him.
“Y/N!” Harry agitatedly explains the events of last night, spewing out that he did not do anything that would taint his conscience or ruin the relationship they had. It put Y/N’s mind to ease knowing that her initial assumption was right—he just needed her to be there for him.
“It’s okay, H. I understand,” She responded softly, playing at the end of *his shirt that she was wearing.
“Y-you do?” His voice came out childlike and scared. She could imagine his lips pursing in a pout.
“It’s alright, Har,” Y/N relaxed her tense muscles, “You wanna tell me what happened during our call?’ She giggled at his behaviour, to which he groaned in protest.
“I’d rather not,” He shook his head, his dimple making a slight indent on his cheek.
“You were jealous weren’t you?”
“Of course not. I was just wondering because if it was from Gucci, then Alessandro would’ve shown it to me by now,” He muttered quickly, lips pursing and pressing a lie to cover up his embarrassing actions. “And I kind of miss you,” He added quietly.
“Right, of course,” Y/N let a few seconds pass before replying, “And I miss you too,”
“So, Kevin is …?” Harry let his thoughts trail off, brows pinching together as he waited for her answer.
She laughed at his prying tone, “Kevin is happily married and you are, too.”

Ipad Lg Tv Mirroring
Hi, this video shows you how to mirror/cast/share your Apple iPad/iPhone screen onto a LG television, this will allow you to view things on the big screen.Th. How to view your iPhone screen on a Samsung smart TV. How to stop streaming. What you need to know. If you own an LG-branded or smart TV, then you’ll be glad to know that you don’t need to buy a TV or attach a plethora of unsightly backpacks to your iPhone or iPad to mirror its screen to the TV. New App Store apps called Mirror for Samsung TV and Mirror for LG TV, both developed. On your iPad, swipe upwards from the bottom of the screen to bring up the control centre. Tap the 'Airplay' button on the screen. You should now see a list of compatible devices. Find the tab that represents your TV and tap it. Your screen should now wirelessly mirror.
As we all know, iPhone is one of the hottest and famous smart phones that we have these days. But in spite of its cool attributes, its screen is still not that big to share some of its content with your family or friends. Fortunately, if you have a smart TV just like LG TV then you can still do some tricks to mirror iPhone to LG smart TV for a bigger screen. There are different ways that you can find online, but some of them are hoax and are just all part of false advertisement. To properly project your iPhone screen on smart TV, then here are the best methods for you to use to avoid any inconvenience. You can get through these ways as we go along with this post.
Ipad To Tv Screen Mirroring
ApowerMirror
By using a screen sharing platform, you can make your phone screen 30x bigger. ApowerMirror is one of the apps that has the most reliable features when it comes to mirroring. The tool has a 1080p video quality and smooth transition. Not only it can mirror, but it can also screen record screen activities, screen cap for importance scenes, and mark the screen using the paintbrush. That is why it is one of the most recommended methods to mirror iPhone to LG Smart TV. Discover more about the tool by reading the following.
Download and install ApowerMirror
Connect your iPhone and TV on the same Wi-Fi server.
Launch the app on both devices.
On your TV, eyes on the QR code.
Meanwhile, on your phone, tap the “scanner” icon located at the upper right-hand side of the main interface.
Now align your camera on your TV where the QR code is located. Once the QR code is scanned, the mirroring will begin.
LetsView
On the other hand, if you are about to share your iPhone’s screen on your PC, then the finest way to do it is to utilize an outstanding application called LetsView. This application is perfectly designed to fit on any iOS devices that you have. Aside from mirroring iOS devices to PC, this tool can also do screen recording and screen capturing, which can be useful in sharing certain content on your social media page. To know more about this program, you can get access to the app by hitting the button below.
Connect your phone and your TV under the same Wi-Fi network.
On your TV, get the pin.
Now, click the first icon located at the upper right side of the interface.
Enter the pin and tap on “start mirroring” to begin the mirroring on your TV.
Using Lightning Digital AV Adapter
Since LG Smart TV does not have the built-in AirPlay function, there is no immediate way to project iPhone’s screen directly. However, you can still connect iPhone to LG Smart TV using a Lightning Digital AV Adapter. There’s no need for any special procedures to make this Adapter work. Simply connect the AV Adtapter into your iPhone and then connect a HDMI cable which will then be connected into your LG Smart TV. Now move your TV input into HDMI and your iPhone contents will be mirrored instantly. Good thing about this method is that it provides a stable connection with or without an internet connection.
Pros:
It provides a stable connection.
It’s easy to use even for those not so techie users.
Cons:
You need to avail this AV Adapter for around $49 dollars.
An additional HDMI cable is needed.
Using AirBeamTV
The next way that you can use to project your iPhone’s content into a larger LG Smart TV screen is by using an app called AirBeamTV. Unlike the first method, this way does not require any wire and adapter and all you need is the app. By using this app, you can start streaming your photos, music, and videos without any lags. Plus, this program also allows simultaneous gameplay streaming without affecting or slowing the actual game. To start screen mirroring iPhone to LG TV, just activate your screen recorder on your iPhone and tap “Mirror LG TV”, wait for the connection to proceed and your iOS screen will be shown right away.
Pros:
No additional cable and adapter needed.
Cheaper than getting an adapter or an Apple TV.
Good quality in screen mirroring as long as you are in the covered perimeter.
Ipad Lg Tv Mirroring Software
Cons:
Some programs that are covered by DRM or Digital Rights Management are not supported; instead, a black screen will be projected.
There is an issue with casting audio.
Conclusion
Those are the easiest yet effective ways on how to mirror iPhone to LG TV. If you are fond of wires, then using a Lightning Digital AV Adapter would be a perfect fit for you. While if you are annoyed with dangling cables flying around, then go for AirBeamTV.

Hello! Time for my promised post on accessibility at the Denver Museum of Nature and Science. Firstly, some housekeeping: I work for the DMNS in customer service. I am not in marketing, and I’m writing this post on my own time and any mistakes in it are mine. Secondly, if you ever see me at the museum you are more than welcome to say hi as long as I’m not with a customer!
Now then, on to the post! I am going to break this down into a few sections based on different areas of the museum. I’ve done my best to document all our accessibility features as of February 2020, but we are always working to become more accessible so things may change as time goes on. If you ever have any questions about any of the things mentioned here, ask at the front desk or the information desk. We will be more than happy to help you and will do everything in our power to give you the best experience possible.
OVERALL ACCESSIBILITY
Parking: the museum has plenty of handicap parking in two sections along the front (north side) of the museum, and several spots on the east side by the night IMAX entrance. There are also several spots on each level of the parking garage (which is free), with access to the parking garage elevators from them. You are also welcome to drop people off directly in front of the doors and then go park from there, if that works better for you.
Public Transport: The museum has a bus stop on the east side, but you will have to go around to the north side to enter the museum.
Wheelchairs: We provide free wheelchairs to our guests. You just have to leave your name and phone number. These wheelchairs can be checked out at the information desk across from the gift shop. If you need to send a friend or family member in to get a chair for you and bring it out to your car just have them check in at the ticket-scan and we will happily let them run in to get you a chair. If you use a different assistive walking device and would like to switch to a chair for the day you can check your regular walking device at the information desk and it will be kept safe until you come to swap back.
Strollers: We also provide free strollers if you need one. They are checked out under the same system as wheelchairs.
Elevators: There are elevators throughout the museum. Please be patient with them, though, some are a little slow! There is one located just past the entrance to the gift shop, one across from the Gems & Minerals exhibit, several in the west atrium, and two in Prehistoric Journey to allow access to the tiny extra floor in there. There is also one in IMAX, but it is a special elevator and we’ll get to it more in the IMAX section. Also. If you happen to... ah... end up in our basement when taking our elevators please do us a favor and just stay on the elevator and go back upstairs. The elevator was not supposed to let you down there but sometimes they like to go on adventures.
Audio Guides: We recently got some shiny new location based audio guides for people with visual impairments. These take a little more setup, so ask at the front desk for the “EdgGuide” and we’ll help you get things going. They are completely free, but you will need to download an app onto your phone for it to work.
Family Restroom/Brest Feeding Room: The museum now has a family restroom and breast feeding area. It is located just inside the entrance to the Gems & Minerals exhibit to the right. There is an additional family restroom in the Discovery Zone on the second floor, and outside of the temporary exhibits area on Level 3.
Lockers/Coat Check: We provide an area to hang coats just behind the first escalator. There are also small lockers in the same area. If you need a larger locker for something like luggage or anything else larger, ask the security guard in the front lobby and they’ll take you to our larger lockers. Said security guards usually hang out under the T-Rex or over by ticket-scan. If you can’t locate one, ask the ticket scanner and they will locate one for you.
Language: If English is not your first language we do have a fairly diverse staff when it comes to language skills. Some staff members will wear buttons indicating other languages they can speak, but not all. If you would prefer to communicate in another language please feel free to let us know and we’ll do our best to track someone down who speaks that language. It may take a few minutes, and I can’t promise we’ll always be able to find someone, but we’ll do our best!
Evening Hours: The museum has just started offering evening hours every Friday! We are now open until 10pm on Fridays to allow more access to the museum for people who may struggle to visit at other times due to work/life commitments. Admission is the same as day admission, and you can come any time during the day. There is a bar and we also have different fun things going on throughout the museum.
Low Sensory Experiences: The museum has recently started offering low sensory experiences in various parts of the museum. These are usually earlier in the morning, before regular opening, or in the evening after regular closing. Some of them are quieter IMAX films, some are calmer setups in our Discovery Zone for kids, some are specially lit access to the dioramas. The best way to keep up to date with when these are happening is to join the museum newsletter which you can join by going to the DMNS website and clicking on the blue “Stay in Touch” button .
Braille Maps: We have braille maps available for checkout at the main ticketing desk. They do need to be returned at the end of your visit.
ASL Interpreters for events: If you need an interpreter for any lecture or event we are holding please call the museum or e-mail guest services at least a week ahead of the event. 303-370-6000 or [email protected].
DAY IMAX
Our IMAX theater gets two sections, as accessibility for day events is a little different from night events, since we use two different entrances. Also, if you need any help/have any questions during the film you can find a host sitting behind the projection booth at the top of the theater. Sometimes we’ll also be in the top couple rows of seats watching the films. We wear blue fleece jackets (or vests) and black shirts with a white outline of a square on the front and in the square are a bunch of different languages saying “Welcome.”
Closed Captioning: Many of our IMAX films come with closed captioning, though unfortunately not all. You can check our schedule on the doors of the IMAX theater for the CC symbol, ask the ticket taker inside the theater, or ask someone at the front desk. When you come in for your film just let the IMAX ticket scanner know you need closed captioning and we’ll grab you one of our closed captioning stands. They automatically sync up with the film and are adjustable for comfortable viewing.
2D conversion glasses: We offer special glasses that will convert our 3D movies back into 2D for anyone who has issues with 3D movies. Just ask the person handing out glasses for a 2D pair and we’ll give you those instead of the regular 3D ones.
3D glasses: our 3D glasses are designed to fit over regular glasses, so even if you have regular glasses you should still be able to enjoy our 3D films.
Earplugs: If you have issues with the volume of IMAX films we offer earplugs. Just ask the IMAX ticket scanner and they will grab you a pair.
Audio Descriptive Devices: We offer audio descriptive devices for our films. Ask the ticket scanner and they will grab you one and get you set up.
No-Stairs Entrance: The IMAX theater involves a lot of stairs, so if you need an entrance without them here’s how that works! The main entrance to the IMAX is on the second floor, while the accessible/no stairs entrance is on the third floor. You are welcome to go right to the third floor, however we only sell snacks on the second floor so if you want snacks be sure to stop in and grab them first! When entering on the third floor please wait for a host to escort you into the theater. This is so we can make sure you are properly set up for the film with glasses and anything else you need, and to make sure you aren’t entering while the previous film is still playing.
Accessible seating: Once inside there are a few different areas that you can sit without having to go down any stairs. We have two areas for wheelchairs/scooters and each can fit about three chairs/scooters, with two seats for guests. We also have a few extra regular chairs that we can bring up for other people in your group, but please note that wheelchairs/scooters have to have priority in those areas. There is also a row on either side of the theater that is below the wheelchair area, but not down any stairs. Everyone is welcome to use these, but if you are transferring out of your chair/scooter to use these we have to have you park your chair/scooter behind the projection booth due to fire code not allowing anything to be in the aisles. Also, if you need to charge your chair/scooter we do have a couple outlets behind the projection booth, but only on one side. Lastly, you are welcome to go sit elsewhere in the theater, but please know you will have to go back up the stairs to exit.
Larger Chairs: If our chairs are too small for you we do have two larger regular chairs that can be moved into the wheelchair seating area for you to use, but please note that wheelchairs have priority in that area. Ask a host and we can grab one of these chairs for you.
Night IMAX
Closed Captioning: Same as the day IMAX.
2D Conversion Glasses: Same as the day IMAX.
3D Glasses: Same as the day IMAX.
Earplugs: Same as the day IMAX.
Audio Descriptive Devices: same as the day IMAX.
No-Stairs entrance/exit: Here’s where things get a little different! Firstly, if you are at a 5 o’clock showing of one of our films (and it is not Friday) you will be exiting out the east side of the museum, rather than the north side where you came in. The only way to exit without stairs is to take our IMAX elevator down. However, to take our IMAX elevator down you have to be escorted by a host. The reason for this is that the elevator is a little funky. Not in a “it doesn’t function” way, just that it is programmed to have the lights off part of the time so it won’t disturb anyone if used during the show, so if you don’t know how to use it you’ll just be stuck in a dark box. Also, it is a security point so we have to keep it locked a lot of the time, and sometimes it gets locked in places it doesn’t belong so we have to go hunt it down and unlock it to bring it up to the theater.
If you are coming to an evening show at IMAX, such as our weekend showings of various Hollywood films or our 6 o’clock showings of our shorter IMAX films that we also show during the day, you will be entering on the museum on the EAST side rather than the north side. We have the elevator unlocked during this time, and you can come right on in through it. The lights won’t turn off on you and you don’t need an escort for this part! Just go to the right of the east entrance doors and you’ll see another door to a little vestibule with the elevator. Take it to the lobby and get your tickets scanned and buy your snacks, then let a host know and we’ll take you up into the theater proper. The exiting procedure is the same as mentioned above: you will need a host to take you down.
Accessible seating: same as the day IMAX.
Larger Chairs: same as the day IMAX.
Planetarium
Audio Descriptive Devices: We offer audio descriptive devices for our films. Ask the ticket scanner and they will grab you one and get you set up.
Accessible Seating: The top row of the planetarium has room for roughly six wheelchairs/scooters, and six regular seats for guests or anyone who can’t use the stairs. You are also welcome to sit down in the lower rows, but please know you will have to exit back up the stairs.
Earplugs: We also offer earplugs if the volume is a bit much for you. Ask the ticket scanner and we will get you a pair.
Larger Chairs: If our chairs are too small for you we do have two larger regular chairs that can be moved into the wheelchair seating area for you to use, but please note that wheelchairs have priority in that area. Ask a host and we can grab one of these chairs for you.
Virtual Reality
Currently, our virtual reality arcade offers three types of experiences. Please note that some of these are more vertigo inducing than others. The first is our Virtual Reality Transporter which involves sitting on a platform with four seats and wearing a virtual reality headset as the platform moves in time with the simulation you are watching. You are buckled in, and there is a bar in front of you for you to hold onto and each simulation lasts about five minutes. The second is our game bays. We have twelve games to choose from including popular ones like Beat Saber and Job Simulator. Some are more intense, game based, and more likely to cause vertigo, others are more laid back and exploration based. You get ten minutes to play. Third, we have Birdly. Birdly involves laying on your stomach on a table with wings while wearing a virtual reality headset. You then get to fly around as a dinosaur for three minutes.
Also, little note. The Virtual Reality Transporter is a... finicky, machine. It can smell the fear of its operator and likes to mock us with strange glitches at inconvenient times. If you are ever riding it and the screen goes black or white give a shout and we’ll stop the ride and try to convince it to behave again.
Glasses: Two of our three experiences allow you to wear glasses while wearing the headsets. You can wear them while doing Birdly, or while playing in the game bays. Unfortunately, you can’t wear them on the Virtual Reality Transporter as it uses a different type of headset that is not designed for them. For many people the fact that the headset sits right in front of your eyes negates most vision issues, but not always. If you are worried about how well you will be able to see on the transporter without your glasses ask one of the hosts if you can peek in a headset before you buy your tickets so you can see if it will be worth it for you. Once you put the headset on you can also wiggle it around a bit to make sure it is sitting right to give you the best possible focus, and they have a little slider on the bottom that you can move to focus things as well.
Wheelchair accessibility: For Birdly if you can comfortably get up on the platform without assistance then you can ride Birdly. You will have to park your chair in the corner or outside the Birdly enclosure. For the games you are welcome to stay in your chair, but please realize that many of the games require moving around and you will also be holding a controller in each hand so your ability to easily move your chair may be limited. Of our current offerings the games that require the least moving around are The Blu, Beat Saber, Nature Treks, and Google Earth. Our games change sometimes though, so feel free to ask a host about the level of movement in each game. For the transporter we have two options. Firstly, if you can get up onto the platform on your own or with the help of someone in your group then you are more than welcome to ride on the platform, however a host cannot be the one to help you up. Also, please note that your chair will not be able to remain in the enclosure during the ride as there is not room, so you will have to have someone in your group move it back out for you or be comfortable with having a host move it. The second option is our non-platform headset. This headset allows you to remain in your chair and watch the same simulation without the movement of the platform.
------------
Whew! This ended up a bit longer than I thought it would! Again, if you have any questions please feel free to ask them at the front desk or the information desk, or ask anyone in a blue fleece vest/jacket or in our black Welcome shirts.
If you have any other suggestions for further accessibility measures feel free to send me a DM and I will bring them up.
I have also cross-posted this on my personal blog on my website for easy access since tumblr is... tumblr.

“When looking at these designs, you should be able to determine how the shadows of the piece create movement within the image.” Sitting with my head resting on the palm of my hand, the professor continues to talk about how each artist uses different forms of techniques to make movement throughout a painting.
The class drones on for what feels like forever. I don’t necessarily care for finding the deeper meaning in art, but art compositions is a required class. Not sure how art would help me in my future of being a doctor and helping others, but requirements are requirements. With the bell ringing, sighs erupted throughout the room as people heave their backpacks over their shoulders and leave the room.
Groaning I force myself up and walk towards the door. “Y/N!” Someone calls out my name and my head turns towards the origin of the voice. There stands Nicci, flailing around as she tried to get through the crowd of other students.
“Jesus, it never gets easier to get through these halls no matter what time of day,” she complains.
“Well, it doesn’t help that there happens to be a lot of art majors at our college, so the building is always filled.”
Her arm immediately intertwines with mine as she starts dragging me away from my classroom, “So, have you heard the tea?” As soon as I heard the word tea my attention was on Nicci. I didn’t live a very drama filled life so hearing other people’s drama was stimulating to me.
“Well, I heard from Katrina who heard from Joe who also heard fro-”
I cut her off, “Okay, I don’t need to know all the different people that know, just spill.”
“Well, you know that one girl from the business department Eunji?”
“Yeah, I share an economics class with her, why?” “Well, I heard she got some nasty STD from this guy she slept with!”
I wrinkled my nose at her words, “She didn’t use a condom or anything?”
“Apparently not.” I sighed, but what did I really expect, it’s college.
I felt an arm drape over my shoulder as the said person pulled me closer to them. “What inappropriate things are you telling my poor baby this time, Nicci?”
“Oh stop babying her Dylan, she’s an adult, not a kid! She knows what sex is!”
Dylan gasped as he covered my ears, “We don’t say that word around her!”
Nicci rolled her eyes and I moved to grab Dylan’s hands from my ears, “She’s right though, I’m not a baby.”
He rolled his eyes as he moved to grab my hand, “I should limit the time she gets to spend with you, she’ll corrupt you.”
Nicci glared at him, “It’s called having fun, you should try getting laid sometime.” Dylan and she argued back and forth as they usually did over me. I used to try to get them to calm down, but after many failed attempts I stopped trying and let them work it out. They reminded me of an old married couple who would squabble over the littlest of things but still made up in the end.
Dylan was and always has been protective of me since I got to know him. Nicci was the first friend I ever made here at college so she and I did almost everything together when it came to new experiences.
Having watched them argue for the past three minutes, I decided I’d step in as it was taking longer than normal to simmer down. I grabbed Dylan’s hand as he was usually easier to pacify, “Dylan, you said you were going to take me out for lunch, why don’t we go? You guys can continue your argument some other time, but I’m hungry.”
He sighed as his eyes softened and he nodded, “Alright, let’s go.”
Nicci scoffed, “Of course he’s a big softy for you…” Dylan gave her a hard glare as she walked away.
“Text me,” I shouted after her. She put an ‘okay’ sign up and maneuvered her way through the sea of people.
“Lunch?” I asked.
“Lunch,” Dylan confirmed.
After arriving at the fast food restaurant, Dylan went up and ordered the food as I sat at the table and waited for him to come back. I scrolled through my phone to quench my boredom and looked at some of my social media feed. Seeing nothing interesting, I locked my phone and put it face down on the table and watched as Dylan filled our drinks and was grabbing all the food. He walked back to the table and set the food and drink I ordered in front of me.
“You know you didn’t have to pay for my lunch, right? I could have paid.”
“You already have enough to worry about between tuition, rent, and feeding yourself, me buying you one meal won’t kill me.”
“Still, I feel bad…”
“Just eat.” I dropped the topic and took a sip of my drink.
“Are you free tonight?” He asked between bites of food.
I tilted my head, “Why?”
“Do you want to have a movie night, it could just be the two of us or we could see about inviting Nicci or Jisoo.”
“Hmm, I would love to but I work tonight.”
He gave a slight pout, “You always work.”
I smiled and pat his hand, “Gotta make money somehow.”
“Are you sure you’re doing okay? You’re able to manage work and school? Are you sleeping well? Are you still getting some free time?” Dylan fired question after question at me.
“You worry too much, Dylan. Of course, I’m okay. I don’t work myself to death, I promise I sleep well and I have free time.”
“Well, you just do so much that you worry me, Y/N.”
“I really do promise that I’m okay, Dylan. You’re just overly paranoid.”
“You would tell me if you needed anything, right?”
“Yes.”
“Good.” We continued to eat in silence but it wasn’t awkward or anything. I crumpled up the wrapper that my food came in as I continued to just sip on my drink until Dylan finished his food. “What time do you work?”
“Three,” I answered.
“I’ll drive you.” I nodded. I normally would argue with him but I felt like we had done enough arguing over me as it was. I went and threw our trash away as he waited for me. We walked out of the door and walked to his car.
Sitting inside, he started up the car and pulled out of the parking lot. “Are you sure you can’t just call in?”
“I really need the money, Dylan. I promise we can some other time.”
He sighed, “Alright, alright, I’ll get off your back about it. But I’ll definitely hold you to that.”
An eight-hour shift was never something I enjoyed. Working at a cafe til almost midnight was also frightening. Walking outside at night as a woman was something that always spiked my anxiety.
Today’s work was slow. Normally there was a rush hour between six and seven but tonight, there was hardly anyone there. “Did you wipe down the tables?” My manager yells from the back room.
“Not yet! I’ll do that after I finish cleaning the counters!”
“Okay!” My manager and I were closing tonight and I just couldn’t wait to go home and lay in bed and watch some tv. I thought about taking a bath to relax since tomorrow was Friday and we didn’t have school on Fridays, but I think I’d pass out in the bathtub if I tried. I finished wiping the counters with the old tattered rag and moved to wipe down the tables as well. I was hoping that after I finished wiping the tables that Jennie would let me go home and she would lock up.
Almost as if my prayers were answered I heard Jennie shout again from the back room, “Good work today! Once you finish the tables you can go ahead and go home!”
“Okay, thank you!” I finished up and put the rag back in the sink where it would be cleaned by the morning crew. Luckily I had the next two days off so I could take it easy. “I’m leaving now!”
“Okay, love, be careful on your way home, I know it’s late.” I grabbed my stuff and walked out the front door, letting it jingle signaling I had left. My apartment wasn’t too far away from where I worked so it would be a short ten-minute walk to get there. I hated walking out here late at night, but I worked so I had to. With my hands in my pockets, I began to fast walk my way home. The sooner I got there, the safer I would be.
The silence from around me was deafening. There were no cars on the roads and the only sound was my shoes hitting the pavement. The streetlights that illuminated the sidewalk were dim and in need of new lights. I sighed as I hugged my jacket to my body. Whenever I walked home late at night, I would keep my phone open on this alert app that Dylan made sure I always had. If I hit a single button the authorities would be called to my location in case anything happened. Nicci always complained whenever he talked to me about it because she thought it was over the top and too much. I agreed that it was a bit over the top but I also don’t really want to say that and then have something bad happen to me and not be able to get help, so I use it.
I was two minutes from my apartment when I heard a scuffling sound of a can being kicked. I felt my heart stop for a second before it started to beat even more heavily against my chest. I held my phone close to me and made sure my finger would hover over the emergency button.
I wanted to look behind me so badly, but I knew I shouldn’t. I heard the sound again and I went completely rigid. I couldn’t help myself. I looked behind me and didn’t see anything. It wasn’t until I looked down around my feet and saw a cat. It’s fur colored noir and it’s green eyes watching me carefully. I let out a sigh of relief realizing that it was only a cat and not someone else. I let my finger leave the button and I huffed as I continued my walk home.
I walked up the stairs to my door and pulled my keys out, unlocking the door and letting myself in. Finally feeling safe, I slid down the door and let myself relax. After a bit, I moved and locked the door, checking twice to be safe.
Pulling my shoes off my feet, I set them by the door and walk through to my living room. With a groan, I let my body sink into the couch and I pull out my phone to make sure I text Dylan. He asked me to text him every time I leave work and when I get back to my apartment when I have a later shift. Hearing the little ping noise of it sending, I let my phone fall to the floor. I felt too lazy to move from where I was so I decided, might as well sleep on the couch tonight. Turning the tv on to a random channel, I let my eyes droop. Within a few minutes, my eyes close entirely and I fall asleep with the tv playing in the background.

This was written for a @mrs-captain-evans 2,5K followers Writing Challenge. Congratulations on the milestone and here’s for 2,5K more!
I chose “Well, this is awkward…” as my prompt because as I was scrolling through the options the scene that particular scene just jumped at me.
Summary: Twitter is a strange place. But once in a while, you connect with someone.
Word count: 3,564
Warning: mild language, 35 seconds of angst, could be less if you read it fast.
Warning2: there will be a lot of Trump bashing at the beginning of this story. If you’re offended then maybe this isn’t a story you should read.
Author’s Note: All rules regarding verified accounts and how they behave were taken from Twitter.com.
It all started innocently enough.
Chris had opened Twitter to post a video of Dodger playing with his stuffed lion, knowing his dog was a fan favorite, when Trump decided to give his opinion on a National Geographic article about Global Warming.
GOD, he was a moron. A dumb, squinty-eyed, toupee wearing, orange moron. Chris seethed as he clicked on retweet with comment and called out the man he had the displeasure of calling President.
A few seconds later his notifications started to pop up. He switched tabs to Mentions and Replies where thousands of retweets with GIFs and other memes were pouring in before he filtered the tab so only verified accounts were shown. Mark retweeted his reply, Don wrote a snarky and an awesome comeback, Ellen Page tore the man a new one and an MIT professor he met during a flight home to Boston mentioned him and your account as prime examples of the generation who could make a change. He liked some favorites, retweeted a few others and was about to close the app when a new mention popped up, this time from your account, thanking your mentor and sharing a blurb about being cool because you were now linked to Captain America.
Curiosity got the best of him and Chris clicked on your handle. The header was a picture of Diagon Alley at the Warner Brother’s Harry Potter Tour in London and the picture to the side was of a woman dressed up as a Gryffindor student, wand, scarf and a pointed hat. He noticed you were also a verified account and your small bio read ‘Y/N, 30something.’, ‘You can be anything you aspire to be. I chose to be a nerd’ and ‘Director of Media Studies at MIT’.
That is an interesting combination, he thought while looking through your latest tweets. Chris immediately found your own retweet of the orange moron and he laughed when you called him a dweeb, deeming the man unworthy of being president of your dog’s agility class, much less president of your country. You also quoted him in a series of articles that could be found at the Congress Library website and citing other articles from different countries, asking him to please trade his Rich Richie comics for something an actual president needed to know ‘You know, like Obama’.
You had an incredibly sharp mind for a woman who spent her free time dressing up as a fictional character, he thought before shaking his head when he looked down at his costume. Yeah, better not judge.
Chris spent a good chunk of his downtime between takes that day going through your tweets. Every time his PA called him to block a new scene or to film a close-up, he would carefully lock the phone without closing the app so he wouldn’t have to scroll down again.
Later that day he was back on his trailer resting, they wouldn’t be going home that night till the first Thanos fight scene was over but he was now free of his Captain America clothes and could relax. He took a shower in the small trailer bathroom, put on a loose pair of boxers and picked up his phone again, opening the Twitter app, happy to see it was exactly where he left.
Chris was now looking at your tweets from two years ago. He scrolled down on some retweets, mostly articles about social media and its influence on people, thoughts about the latest Game of Thrones episode, a tweet about watching Captain America: The Winter Soldier again after the results of the presidential election and how it had changed your views of the movie and a trip to London to guest lecture on a seminar in Oxford, with a link to watch your lecture on Youtube. You’re funny, witty, and after watching your lecture on Book to Movies Adaptions: Bridging the Gap in the Fourth Dimension, he realized he was enthralled not only by your pretty eyes and lush lips but also with your mind.
He saw pictures of your adopted one-eyed blue merle Cardigan Welsh Corgi aptly named Captain Hook which you confessed was rarely used because you liked to call him Hooker, calling his name out loud around Cambridge Square just to get a reaction out of people. He laughed long and hard imagining you walking up and down Tudor Street asking if anyone had seen a one-eyed Hooker prancing around.
He worried his bottom lip for a moment before closing the app and opening up Safari quickly founding what he was looking for on his saved links. A new window opened and Twitter.com was now on his screen but instead of the usual @chrisevans handle, the account belonged to @BostonBrains81.
The Patriots logo stared back at him from the top of the page and a random shot of the crowd in one of the home games stood over a simple bio: Boston. Beer. Patriots.
The account he used to interact with his friends back home, like their baby pictures, sign in to various sites and go even crazier over the Patriots than he normally would on his main.
He looked nervously around his trailer before he searched for your handle, clicking the follow button before he lost his courage.
You are now following @Y/H
Was he really going through with this? His index finger hovered over the reply button on your latest tweet, the one where he was also mentioned.
“Ok Chris, you can do this.”
BostonBrains81 @Y/H you’re a lot cooler than Captain America. Wicked answer to the resident Oompa-Loompa, but I gotta ask, you think he knows how to read?
There, he did it.
_
That had been the first of the many 280 characters conversations you had with each other.
At first, you wondered if he was just a creep that followed you because Professor Travis mentioned you and Chris Evans on the same post; you had gained almost a thousand followers because of that, but they quickly unfollowed you when you didn’t gush about Chris Evans or they realized you didn’t actually know the actor. Not @BostonBrains81 though, he stuck around, commenting on some old articles you shared, liking all the pictures of Hooker you posted and even replied to the one where you shared his name asking if calling out for a Hooker in Cambridge had you stopped for solicitation at any point. You laughed at his joke and decided to follow him back.
The guy, you assumed it was a guy, was incredibly intelligent, always had a smart comeback to your jokes and could make you laugh in less than 100 characters. You shared most of the same views, from politics to music and books, the only point of contention was football. He was probably the biggest Patriots fan you had ever met and you being originally from the west coast was a Seattle Seahawks fan. He told you he had a working buddy who was a huge Seahawks fan as well and they had watched the Superbowl together in Arizona a few years back.
He’d ask you for a new book recommendation every few weeks and confessed his line of work had him waiting around quite a bit. You believed he was a flight attendant because he more than once replied to you from different parts of the country. You wondered if you should let him know the location settings were turned on.
You quickly got into a routine of checking his page to see if he was online that day and a little over two months since you first ‘talked’, you moved on to Direct Messages and conversation become more serious. Thoughts on religion, the #MeToo movement, gay rights, all were candidly discussed and you now actively sought his opinions on some of the subjects you taught your classes.
For a flight attendant, the man had some strong opinions and knew how to keep a conversation going. You chastised yourself for your classism, just because he had a blue-collar job didn’t mean he couldn’t have a sophisticated mind.
Some people are incredibly well educated and never set foot inside a college corridor, you remembered Professor Travis lecturing an advanced Media class you sat as his aide. Take Captain America for an example, I met the young man who portrays the superhero during a recent flight from Atlanta to Boston and I was highly impressed. He could very well be a post-doctorate student here, but he chose to follow his own footsteps to Hollywood and I thank him for it. I quite enjoy the dichotomy he brings to his portrayal of Captain America and Steve Rogers during The Winter Soldier and Civil War. If you haven’t, please watch those movies as we’ll be discussing them in our next class.
Professor Travis had been your theses supervisor and was one of your closest friends, even though he was thirty years your senior. The man had one of the sharpest minds you knew and his classes on Comic Books and the Juxtaposition to Modern Politics was always full, with a waiting list that never got any smaller. You usually sat those classes as his aide and he called on you often to share your views on what the media contributed to the political storm brewing on the horizon and what comic books contributed to that. Captain America had become one of Travis favorite subjects as of late, the whole Hydra and Nazis making a comeback after the last presidential election.
The fact Chris Evans engaged in politics and wasn’t afraid to speak up his mind played a huge part in why you started following him after Professor Travis met the guy. Sure, the man was eye candy to your often-tired eyes but he had a lot to offer than just those huge biceps, that amazing tight ass, and that soft-looking facial hair. You got a kick of his self-deprecating humor and once or twice you had jointed down a few books he mentioned and truly enjoyed them.
It was a really nice coincidence @BostonBrains81 had read them as well.
By the end of summer you were feeling lonely and thinking of asking another professor out. You wanted a male opinion on the idea, preferably one not in the same circle of friends and your best online friend was just the person to ask.
Well, does he make you feel nervous?
No, why would he made me feel nervous? He’s a very nice guy.
See, if you’re not nervous around him that means he doesn’t make you feel anything. If you don’t feel anything for the guy, why waste your time? And a nice guy? God, that’s the worst thing a woman can say about a man. A nice guy is as bad as saying a girl is okay. Is she beautiful? Meh, she’s okay. Does he melt your insides? Meh, he’s a very nice guy.
Seems like you gave this a lot of thought.
I’ve had more girlfriends than… jobs. When I broke up with the last one, I decided to wait for the right woman instead of getting into another destined to fail relationship. There’s no shame in stepping back and deciding you’re worthy of more than just an okay girl.
Or a nice guy.
Exactly.
Being alone is not easy though. We jump from one relationship to the next because we’re already used to the normalcy of having that steady presence in our lives. It doesn’t matter if we know that person isn’t right for us or they might even be prejudicial for us in the long run. The relationship fills a void we don’t like, that feeling there’s something wrong with us because we can’t maintain a partner.
Who let you in my head when I wasn’t looking?
Sorry for getting too deep.
You’re absolutely right though.
Thanks for the talk, no dates with nice guys from now on.
Don’t go for the bad guys either.
Well, that considerably narrows the option pool. Who am I dating then?
How about me?
Good one funny boy.
What’s wrong with me?
Barring the fact that I don’t even know your real name and you could very well be catfishing me, not much.
Catfishing?
You know, trying to make me believe you’re someone you’re not.
.
You there?
Sorry. Yeah, I’m definitely not trying to make you believe I’m anyone but myself. Name’s Chris by the way.
Nice to meet you, Chris, I’m Y/N.
Your conversations with @BostonBrains81, better yet, Chris, were now a daily occurrence and included questions about your daily lives and personal family stuff, Chris had three siblings, the youngest had been adopted and you spent a whole afternoon discussing the effects of adoptions on both the family and the child, you commended his parents for going through the processes and he opened his heart about normalizing the girl when she first came to live with them but now she was his favorite sister and he couldn’t imagine life without Shanna in it. He told you about moving away from home at eighteen to pursue his dream job, you shared how difficult adapting to Boston was at first but how you couldn’t see yourself living anywhere else now. He confided in you his work had him burned out a little and how much he missed home. Since his location had been stationed in Atlanta for the past three weeks, you deduced he worked for Delta Airlines.
Hey, you there? Can we talk?
Sure, I’m just lounging, you good?
I’m still at work, everyone is being a dick today and I’m having a hard time coping, plus I’m tired and a little cranky.
I’m sorry. Coworkers can be a pain in the ass sometimes, no matter what the field. Have you tried the exercises you told me about?
Yes. More than once. They seem to work for a while but then I have to head back in and someone else decides it’s his turn to be a dick. And now the… execs are here and they want to change some of the stuff that’s already done so that means more work and more dick-headed people all around.
When it’s your turn?
Uh?
Well, since everyone is having a bad day, why can’t you lash out? Be a dick too?
It’s never my turn. Chris is always the good guy, Chris is never a diva.
You don’t need to be a diva to demand respect. Demand respect while being respectful, but put your foot down. The old you get more flies with honey. Do you need to be there?
I’m supposedly done for the day.
So go home, take a bath, sleep in clean sheets. I know how hard it is to turn off work, sometimes I stay in my office for hours after I’m my shift, but it’s not healthy. If they truly need you, they know where to find you.
They do yeah.
Go home, Chris. Pass on the shield.
What?
Like Captain America did in the comics. Let someone else do the job.
Oh. Okay, yeah, that makes sense.
I make a lot of sense when I’m drinking wine.
So your advice comes from your inebriated mind?
I’m hardly inebriated. It’s one glass of wine while reading a book in the bathtub. This is my me time.
I’m sorry for interrupting your naked me time. Thanks for the visual though, it’ll help me with my own time when I get home.
Go home, Chris. It’s the wine’s order.
You were now on a territory you swore you’d never slipped into; flirting with a stranger online. You tried to talk yourself out of it, tried to curb this insane idea manifesting inside your head and your heart, you were a scholar for goodness sake, you taught your students to never engage romantically online, therefore, you should know better.
You most certainly didn’t.
I’d like to take you out for coffee sometime, you could show me around MIT.
Maybe. When you get back from Atlanta, let me know.
How do you know I’m in Atlanta?
Your location setting is turned on.
Is it? Damn.
Yeah, I should have told you sooner. Working for Delta Airlines must nice though.
Yeah… I guess. Blue collar job though.
Don’t be like that, you should not be ashamed of what you do for a living. If it makes you happy, it’s all that matters.
You’re right, I’m pretty happy doing what I do. So, coffee?
Sure. I usually get my caffeine fix from ‘Bean there, Doughnut That’ over at Arrow St. It’s always full of students.
Smart girl, going for a place where you can find a friendly face if we don’t get along.
That, and you could be a serial killer, I need witnesses to remember your face. It’s not like I *really* know you.
I look forward to changing that. I’ll be home after Columbus Day. Could we meet then?
Yes, sure. I want to finally put a face to the man I’ve talking for the past four months. It’s a date.
A date uh? I like that. I like that very much. I hope you like my face when you see it, I kinda have an ugly mug.
I’m sure your face is fine. Besides, I already like your personality and that’s the part I always have trouble with.
Checking Twitter had become your new guilty pleasure and you’d close the app with a frown if Chris didn’t post anything every few days, exactly what was happening right now.
He had been offline for a whole week and you missed your usual banter, his witty sense of humor and how he took to calling you Professor Hottie. The Patriots lost the second game of the season and you wanted to gloat a little but most of all you just wanted to know if he was okay.
Biting your lip, you clicked on the direct message button.
Been a while since you’ve been online, did you get lost on the way back from Boston Market?
I see that you turned off your location sharing. Was I being too stalkerish?
I guess you’re busy or maybe you just don’t want to talk to me. I’ll leave you be.
Had you come on too strong? Did you sounded desperate and scared him off? You read your past conversations and nothing sounded too eager on your part, maybe he just wasn’t interested anymore.
Well, that was that.
You sighed and refreshed your home page one last time, checking your latest tweets and was surprised to see a new Tweet from Chris Evans, another Chris who had been MIA lately.
ChrisEvans Officially wrapped on Avengers 4. It was an emotional day, to say the least. Playing this role over the last 8 years has been an honor. To everyone in front of the camera, behind the camera, and in the audience, thank you for the memories! Eternally grateful.
Interacting with celebrities were never really your thing but you would miss Captain America, you were sure they would have to kill him if Evans would not play the iconic soldier anymore, so you took a chance and clicked on reply.
Y/H @chrisevans thanks for making Cap cool again, you made him justice and gave the tired soldier a new and improved multifaceted personality. We’re gonna miss him.
Satisfied with your chosen words you smiled as you hit send. You got a few likes notification right away, some of your students and MIT faculty retweeted your post, Professor Travis included.
ChrisEvans @y/h thank you. Having people like you and @TravisMIT giving Cap your stamp of approval certainly makes me think I did a good job.
Wide eyes blinked back to the screen when you read his response. He not only thanked you but for some reason he held your opinion to a higher standard? How was that possible?
Your mentions exploded with people asking you similar questions and you had to switch to verified account only to stop the barrage of notifications for new tweets coming through.
Your phone beeped with a new direct message and a small glimpse of hope that your Chris was back made you forget about Evans.
Hey, sorry for the disappearance act, work has been crazy lately. You’re definitely not stalkerish, that title actually belongs to yours truly but I’ll tell you more over coffee. Don’t ever think I don’t want to talk to you, our conversations are the highlight of my days. I missed you a lot these past ten days.
You cocked your head side to side while reading the message, twice, three times, trying to understand exactly what was going on. You should be happy, it was exactly what you wanted to read after being ghosted for over a week.
There was only one problem. The DM did not come from @BostonBrains81. It came from @ChrisEvans.
You hovered your mouse over the reply button but your brain was short-circuiting. You started and deleted dozens of replies, none of them conveying what you were feeling well enough. Deceived. Betrayed.
New direct messages appeared one after the other.
Well, this is awkward…
I can explain.
Please talk to me.
Look, I was stupid for not telling you sooner but doesn’t change how I feel about you. Can we talk? Please?
You’re now blocking @ChrisEvans.

A Stay at The Eccleston Square Hotel in Belgravia
If you have a penchant for personalised, boutique hotels, you might like to check out the Eccleston Square Hotel. This family-run hotel located in SW1 opened in 2011 when Olivia Byrne decided to create one of the most ‘technologically advanced hotels’ in London. At 23, the Paris-born entrepreneur was dubbed one of the youngest hoteliers of the time.
Since then, the 4.5-star hotel has picked up quite a few accolades. Conde Nast Traveler listed it in the top 15 best boutique hotels in London and it picked up their Reader’s Choice Award in 2016. You’ll also find many articles applauding the hotel’s various hi-tech features and massage beds that come with every room.
With no plans to travel far over the Easter weekend, BC and I took up the opportunity to enjoy a one-night stay here and make the most of some ‘London time’ following our recent move. Here’s how it went.
Eccleston Square Hotel: The Location
The location of Eccleston Square Hotel is definitely one of its strengths. Eccleston Square is located in the SW1V area of London. And overlooking a leafy garden, it feels surprisingly quiet, but is actually, very accessible. Victoria coach, railway and tube stations are just a five-minute walk away. And you have Pimlico, Belgravia and the attractions of Westminster right on your doorstep. It’s a great location for anyone visiting the theatres in Victoria too.
The building itself is a Grade II listed Georgian townhouse, which is immediately appealing for travellers who appreciate a bit of character, although, as you’ll read below, this is a super modern hotel inside.
Interestingly, you’ll find the house that Winston Churchill lived in, just a few doors down and I’m told that Queen Victoria’s granddaughter once lived in the building that is now the hotel.
How’s that for a bit of history?
The Arrival
It was very quiet when we first arrived, and we waited a few minutes at reception for someone to greet us. Once they did, the front-of-house staff were very warm and friendly, and check-in was quick and seamless. They’ve taken a very contemporary approach at the Eccleston Square Hotel, with lots of monochrome, marble and sparkling chandeliers.
Once we’d checked in, one of the hotel staff took us up to our room on the first floor and gave us a thorough explanation of the technology and services in the room, which was a nice touch.
The hotel entrance hall
The entrance to our guest room at the Eccleston Square Hotel
The guestroom interiors & amenities
The guestroom interiors, much like the hotel reception, are contemporary and quite business-like with dark wooden wardrobes and furniture, grey carpets and black faux-fur cushions and throws.
There are two fluffy towelling robes and slippers in the wardrobe and guests who have booked directly through the hotel can enjoy a complimentary mini-bar (choice of Evian water, two types of beer and soft drinks). There’s also a Nespresso coffee machine and while there’s no kettle, they do offer a free 24-hour tea service – something I think every hotel should adopt!
My favourite part, style-wise, was the bathroom – a sleek, white marble space where you’ll find a huge two-person shower cubicle fitted with four (yes FOUR) showers. Two rainforest showers were overhead, and an excellent power shower and hand-held shower were fitted to the wall. Eccleston Square Hotel provides various L’Occitane bathroom miniatures (including a lovely Lavender sleep spray) and the whole room was bright and airy, thanks to the natural light that flooded through the frosted floor-to-ceiling windows.
Hi-tech features
The technology at Eccleston Square Hotel is evident as soon as you walk through the traditional front door that’s fitted with automatic sensors. There’s an iPad on the front desk telling you the weather forecast in London and even the lifts are fitted with six miniature TV screens, all tuned into different channels.
Once inside the guest room, all the light fixtures, except for the bedside lamps, are controlled using electronic switches and the heating, curtains and ‘Do Not Disturb’ sign at your door (no need to hang a sign up) are also electronically controlled. There is also, of course, free wifi.
On the bedside table, you’ll find an iPad that’s been installed with a variety of features that are particularly useful for first-time visitors to London. There’s a catalogue of restaurants to try in the area, a list of local attractions (you’ll also find tips for things to do on the Eccleston Square Hotel blog) and a delivery-app called Night Room Service, offering food delivery from around 50 London restaurants, which is great if you fancy eating in. There’s the option for in-room dining from the hotel’s in-house chefs and the local restaurant Lobster & More will also deliver a wide range of dishes to the hotel. For a fee, the in-room iPad also offers the option of late check-out (which we took advantage of) – very handy indeed.
One of the most noteworthy features for foreign travellers is the smartphone which every guest has in their room. You can take it out with you, use the social media and make use of the unlimited data – you can even make international calls to selected countries. It wasn’t something I needed but if you’re travelling from overseas, this is a great added extra.
The massage bed
The feature I’d been looking forward to the most was the Hästens massage bed. After an afternoon walk in the area, I enjoyed a bit of down time ahead of us going out for dinner (I’m pregnant, I have an excuse) so it was the perfect time to try it out.
If you haven’t heard of them, Hästens beds are pretty highly sought-after. Hand-made in Sweden, they cost upwards of £12,000 each and are crafted using sustainable materials such as pure flax and hypoallergenic horsehair, which are said to channel away moisture and excess heat and lead to a better night’s sleep. (I can back that up, I slept very well).
When it comes to the massage function, I have to admit, the massage beds were quite loud and provided a strong vibration rather than a kneading motion (which is what I was expecting) to your body or feet area. That said, I liked the way you could raise the head and feet to your preferred position – a great way to watch the 46-inch TV in comfort.
Speaking of TVs, there were two screens in our hotel room – one at the end of your bed, and a small one fitted inside the bathroom which syncs to whatever you’re watching in the main bedroom.
I’m not sure if it’s the case in every guestroom, but our bathroom TV was located opposite the toilet and you could just about see it from the shower. It’s great if you want to listen to a music channel, but personally, I’d have loved to see a bathtub in there, so you could enjoy a long soak with your favourite programme in front of you.
I think you’ll agree, it’s a pretty cool feature nonetheless. And we got a surprise when we discovered that the bathroom door can switch between frosted and transparent, again, at the touch of a button. The last time I saw this was at a hotel in Kuala Lumpur – another feature that technology geeks will no doubt love.
3D movies
The final hi-tech feature you’ll want to check out is the option to watch 3D movies which are all complimentary with your stay. In keeping with their convenient ordering system, guests can pick from a selection of 3D Blu-ray movie options on the iPad and within minutes, a member of staff will arrive at your door with the DVD and Panasonic 3D glasses.
PJs on and massage bed set at the perfect incline, we were ready for our 3D experience, but sadly, neither of the movies could be supported as it turned out, the TV needed an upgrade. It wasn’t something the staff could fix at the time and they were incredibly apologetic; however, after all the hype, we were gutted we couldn’t experience it!
Downstairs in the hotel, next to the bar, they do have a ‘media room’ where guests have the option to watch movies on the 103-inch LED TV. We were already in our PJs at this point so didn’t fancy coming back downstairs, however it’s a great option for watching sport if you know it’s going to be available. You can also sync your laptop to the screen, so it’s well set up for events and private meetings.
Food and Drink at Eccleston Square Hotel
Once you check out the in-room iPad at the Eccleston Square Hotel, as mentioned, you’ll see that you can order a number of food options to your room, or in the dining area downstairs.
We went out for dinner in Victoria, however, we did order from the hotel breakfast menu the next morning. The Eggs Benedict and Eggs Royale were both delicious even though my request for the sauce to be served ‘on the side’ wasn’t noted. The fresh fruit with yoghurt was also fantastic with thick gooey yoghurt, fresh mint and a drizzle of honey. It all arrived fairly promptly and was a great way to end a lovely London stay.
I’ll also be writing a separate post about the afternoon tea at Eccleston Square Hotel, very soon.
Verdict
Although we felt this hotel didn’t quite hit the mark in some areas, the service was extremely warm and welcoming, the room was super clean and cosy, and we felt it had lots of brilliant features that made for a comfortable stay. If you’re looking for something super luxurious, do check out their new townhouses which recently opened. However, I would recommend the Eccleston Square Hotel for couples enjoying a weekend away in London and anyone looking for a personalised stay with excellent access to central London and all its attractions.
It’s not often you can enjoy a free mini-bar, 24-hour tea service and an array of services which you can conveniently order from a screen. With rooms starting from just £125, this boutique hotel gets a thumbs up for convenience, value-for-money and style.

The “App store”
Sooooooooooooooooooooooooooo I’m pretty much random with this little thing I wrote, but I couldn’t resist after looking at @ jafndaegur’s little comic strip of a funny AU with not so modern Sesshomaru and the battle with the “app store”.
Anyway, I wanna first thank @meggz0rz for having been my proofreader for most of the fic, although I’m gonna post it without too much attention bc meh too lazy sksksks. This is a fic for a ludicrous purpose, I did it because I was really interested in a situation with Sesshomaru being a chill af dude in modern clothes but with the mentality of a dad when it comes to smartphones lmao.
All the credits for this idea go to @mmhinman, who suggested the idea first, and to @jafndaegur, who first came up with this little piece of art. Without further introduction, enjoy the one-shot!
"I was waiting for you two. Please, come in." a towering - and definitely more polite - Sesshomaru greeted from the doorstep of the quarters of a house in central Tokyo. Kagome and Inuyasha first exchanged a brief glance to each other before stepping into the fashionable, yet discrete residence of the Lord of the West. The only difference was that said Lord was not in his usual attire. A simple attire with a light blue button shirt and a pair of blue navy suit trousers were his outfit, whose material, in the eyes of Kagome, could only be described as fancy.
If then, one was to look past the casual look of such latest fashion and moved to the interiors of the house, another considerable surprise would wait: refined marble flooring extending to all the corners of the spacious apartment; a set of leather couches in the very center, together with some simple furniture - black, rigid chairs, a refined low glass coffee table; a kitchen counter with a set of dark stoves and a well-furnished library on the very left of what looked the most redefined apartment Kagome has ever seen.
It didn't surprise her anyway, whose lifestyle in the modern era didn't differ from the daiyouki's - at least, not in the terms of tastes. If anything, what did surprise her the most was the fact that there really was a descendant of the greatest daiyouki currently living in her time, who lived not even that far from her family shrine, on top of that. When she first mentioned Inuyasha’s half-brother during dinner time in her modern home, Mama Higurashi didn’t miss a beat, and told Kagome that what she described as a merciless, powerful demon with long silver hair and a death stare was actually the same person she used to work for some years ago in the fashion industry. When she heard that news, Kagome could barely finish eating before flinging down the bones eaters’ well and rushing to tell her friends her revelation.
“What kinda games are ya playing, you jerk?” he all but blurted when the modern version of his half-brother stepped aside to let them in. Sesshomaru frowned in hearing those harsh words, confused by that sudden question, too.
“Inuyasha! He was just welcoming us inside, he did nothing wrong.” said Kagome, not wanting to start with the wrong foot - only the Kami knows what could go wrong with those two together.
“Keh! If I know anything about this guys, is that kindness is not really his strong point.”, he replied, not too convinced by this whole act. ‘Not only do I have to deal with his asshole version in my time, but I also have this pompous one to deal with!’ he thought, his trademark scowl never leaving his features. He had been the first one to tell Kagome that dealing with another Sesshomaru was not a good idea, the first reason being he already hated the original version with all his might, and so he wasn’t very optimistic with them going to pay a visit. After a heated discussion between him and the young girl, they finally came to a compromise which made the two parts agree to visit Sesshomaru number two: Kagome and Inuyasha would go visit him once to ask if he knew anything about how to defeat Naraku; if the mission failed, they would never ask for him again. With that set, the following day Inuyasha went to Kagome’s era and to her home to pick her up, and, after a robust breakfast and saying goodbye, they went off in search of said daiyouki 2.0. After a whole half day spent looking up on the Internet, they managed to find his location and even made a phone call to check if he was still living there. Surprisingly enough, he was and had no problem with them coming over.
“Well, you can’t know that for sure, he’s not like the Sesshomaru we know.” “How can ya be that sure?! As far as I’m concerned, this is the first time for you too! He couldda been the same as 500 years ago!” he interjected, now even more unsure about the whole situation.
“I am quite surprised as well, Inuyasha” Sesshomaru finally spoke, “it’s not usual to meet your brother from 500 years ago in this timeline. However, I should not be too much shocked, since I knew this day was coming. I know you may have several questions to ask, so let’s not wait time standing here, let’s have a seat”. Once more, he gestured to the couple to come inside and, eventually, Kagome stepped into the apartment, followed by a more reluctant dog boy. Once the door was closet, Sesshomaru walked past them and went straight to the little couch in the middle of the room, not bothering to see if the two other people were following him.
As they stepped into the well-furnished area which was the living room, the pair had then a more clear vision of the place: several tall, narrow windows surrounded the entirety of the room, allowing the exterior light to brighten the apartment. On the left side, Kagome noticed a staircase ascending to what could have been a second floor, and, just below that, an underpass stocked with books, lamps, and some glass boxes with all sorts of objects.
The trio soon reached the couch and immediately sat down, Sesshomaru on the Celestine couch facing Kagome and Inuyasha.
“If I may, could I offer you some refreshments? Some tea, perhaps?” Sesshomaru proposed with all the calm in the world; “Okay, who the hell are you and what happened to that arse of my brother?!” “Inuyasha!” “What?? This is not what I’m used to in my time, I have to literally fight this guy every time I see him, it’s fucking weird to see him so…mellow!” Inuyasha growled back at her, while Sesshomaru heaved an exasperated sigh. This was going to be an intense afternoon.
“We can’t keep this up, Inuyasha, we came here for a reason, so try to behave a little; we need as much information as we can get.”
“Humph! I ain’t got that much of trust in that. What makes you think he will help us anyway?”
“Well, we only have to try!”
“Pardon me,” Sesshomaru eventually intervened into the couple’s bickering “but as a matter of fact, I am here, right in front of you. This is proof that I survived the fight against Naraku centuries ago, isn’t it? Therefore, you can trust me and my pieces of advice, since I already experienced what will happen in the past. Confiding to my words or not is your choice and yours only.” He calmly stated to them, slowly coming forward, his elbows resting atop of his expensive trousers. Kagome and Inuyasha carefully thought over his speech and, after several seconds of silence, the daiyouki spoke again. “I am aware of my position towards you and your group of friends, but you cannot deny the fact we are fighting the same battle, and that our discordances should be kept to ourselves for the greater good. I am simply answering your call of help, nothing more, nothing less” he reasoned “I cannot try any advantage from this; as you can well see, I have my own life right here and I have never bothered interfering with yours. The only ones who will gain something from this are you.”
He finally concluded, leaning back in the small sofa and regarding them both, giving them time to think about what to do.
Visibly amused by this behavior, Kagome didn’t really have anything to argue against his words: they were in need of help, whatever the source would be, and he was not pushing them away like his older- or younger? - version used to do. She glanced over to Inuyasha, the only one who could have to say something about it since she was still determined to keep going with this path. He still kept his arms folded into his haori and never once broke eye contact with his brother. One could say he wanted to see where the other would go with all of his talking, but the truth was, he had nothing to use against him at this moment. The fights against Naraku were getting harder and harder, Kagome’s spiritual powers were barely preventing the most damaging attacks, and, on top of that, his swords skills were still lacking the strength he required. There was not that much to do if not trying any other options, of that he was well aware of, but what really threw him off what the fact they were getting aid from none other than his half-brother. The last person he could think of. Well, there was no turning back now, wasn’t it?
“Alright, I’ll listen to what you have. But I’m doing it because I trust Kagome, not you.” he finally said. The girl in question heaved a sigh of relief, although she couldn’t help the little smile that appeared on her lips at hearing how much the hanyou relied on her.
“Very well, I will try to support you in what I can.” the dog demon replied. “However, I believe it was the Miko who wanted to share an idea of hers.”, his attention now focused on the young girl next to his hanyou brother, who turned his head towards her as well. Kagome suddenly lit up as she remembered the purpose of this visit “Oh, right! I wanted to propose a solution to keep up as much updated as possible with each other, even when far away”.She then took the little purse she usually carries around when going into the city and rummaged inside to look for what then appeared to be three tiny metallic objects, all of the same dimensions. She gave one to both Inuyasha and Sesshomaru, each one frowning at the strange article in their hands. Inuyasha, more confused than anyone else, also sniffed the metal piece of futuristic technology and tried poking it to attain any sorts of reaction from it.
“So” Kagome started “I was thinking that regardless of the info Sesshomaru can give us, maybe we could use his help not only to take notes for our journey but also keeping us in constant contact while traveling the Feudal era. This way, even if we’re separated by time, Sesshomaru can still warn us from afar using this!” she explained while gesturing to the tiny piece of metal in her hands. Both demons looked at each other and then at the girl in front of them, but only Inuyasha asked “Uh, that’s really cool, but...what exactly is this thing?” he skeptically asked, looking down at the rectangular thing.
“This is a smartphone.”, she simply stated, but before she could explain further, Sesshomaru held up his hand before his face as a sign to stop Kagome from talking. He then lowered it down and, with what Kagome could describe as a mix of smugness and composure, he went “This Sesshomaru is okay. Just explain to this ignorant who I presume has never seen one before.” That affirmation earned him a bewildered expression from the girl and one of hate from the half-demon. ‘So that’s where he kept his true attitude, uh’ Kagome mustered with herself, while Inuyasha was ready to start a fight again. “Just what the hell do you think-!” “Okay! No bickering you two, let’s just move on!” Kagome interjected before the catastrophe; Inuyasha regarded a hard look to his brother, while Sesshomaru simply focused again to the girl. “Oh God...ok, since you’re already familiar with this gadget, Sesshomaru, I will tell you how I intend to use it.” Sesshomaru nodded slightly, then Kagome proceeded “First: go to the App store”. After she said so, Sesshomaru nodded again.
Then stood up to his feet, took his jacket which rested on the back of the sofa, and started getting dressed as if to go out.
Kagome just looked more confused.“Uh...why are you getting up?”
Sesshomaru looked at her, as if what he was doing wasn’t already obvious enough “Woman, you said to go to the App store. We’re going to the App store.”
As if suddenly called on, Inuyasha stood as well “Yeah, Kagome. If we need to go to this store we better hurry. Let’s go already” Quite pleased to have the support of his half-brother, Sesshomaru then turned again to Kagome “Woman, is this “App store” far away?”.
Kagome’s eyes went wide with surprise. It was a miracle she didn’t fall from off the chair at that statement.
Yep, this is going to be a loooong afternoon...

forum rp guide
To start this off, I just want to say that I’m in no way a profession (but really, this is roleplay, I don’t think there are profession rpers??). I’ve been roleplaying on forums since I was really young and I’m an old lady now, so I definitely have experience. I felt like making this guide because I know there are a lot of tumblr roleplayers that feel anxious about trying forum rps. This is just a rough, all-over-the-place guide for understanding and getting started.
Forum Roleplaying is quite different from tumblr roleplaying and can seem daunting to anyone unfamiliar. I have no idea how else to go about this, so I’m going to start from the beginning.
QUICK VOCABULARY
forum - forum can be used to talk about the site as a whole. but more commonly when someone says ‘forum’ in conversation, they are referring to a category on the site that when clicked on then reveals threads that are within that single forum.
sub forum - a sub forum is just that. a forum within a forum. often used for further organization.
thread - a thread is a post and all it’s replies. in chronological order from the first post created to the last.
membergroup(s) - membergroups are how characters are categorized. many rp sites use personality types to do this. some use neighborhoods. say the site is set in a city with four neighborhoods. the membergroups may be those four neighborhoods and each character is in the membergroup that they live in. there are so many ways to organize characters into membergroups. this can help with plot ideas or general organization.
Finding a Forum Roleplay
There are a lot of advertising tumblrs aimed at helping roleplayers find a forum to call home. My favorite is allthingsroleplay. There you can search by genres to find something you’re interested in. There are all kinds, just like there are all kinds of tumblr rps. I can be pretty shallow when it comes to finding a new site to roleplay on. I just can’t get super into a site that has clashing colors or grainy graphics. That’s not to say there can’t be an excellent site out there with bad visuals. That’s just strictly my preference: a beautiful site with a great plot and welcoming members.
Getting Started
Once you have found a site that you’re into, you can read the rules, plot, setting, membergroup info, etc to make sure it is the right place for you. Generally, those important reads are found toward the top of the site. There are usually even links beneath or above the site banner or in the topbar ( the bar across the top of the window that nowadays is often fixed there and remains in the same location as you scroll. ) It is important to read the rules to know what is allowed/not allowed on the site. Most are very common sense rules; #1 forum rp rule is always ‘don’t be a dick.’ Of course, you want to also familiarize yourself with the setting and plot of the site.
Once the required reading is complete, people usually want to browse the face claims in use. Most forum roleplays ( with the exception of sandbox sites or anime sites ) only allow one person to use a certain face at a time. Of course there is twinning but you get the idea. If you’ve decided that this site is where you want to settle your character, make sure to reserve your preferred face. Be certain that you’re not trying to reserve a face that is already claimed by someone else. To reserve a face ( and later after acceptance, claiming a face ) you will have to copy/paste a code within the face claim list. The code to copy paste will be titled something like “TO RESERVE A FACE” or something like that and the code will look something like
<blockquote><b>face claim</b> is reserved for <i>alias</i> until <b>##:## am or pm</b></blockquote>
You want to make sure you copy all of that, from the first < to the last >. You would fill it out appropriately and paste it in a reply to the same “thread” where the face claims are. This will save your face claim for you while you create your character.
You can either reserve your face before registering an account or after. It doesn’t really matter either way. When registering your account, make sure you know the rules. Some sites want you to register with your character’s first and last name in proper capitalization. John Doe. Some want you to use all lowercase letters. That should be in the rules that you read when first investigating the site.
Character Application
There are different kinds of applications depending on the site you’ve chosen. Some require a traditional application, where you write about your character’s past, their appearance, their personality, etc. Many use shipper applications, which is when you discuss your character’s friendships, romantic life, enemies, and how they may connect with other characters.
If you’re stuck on this part, feel free to browse accepted characters on the site to get a feel for what is asked of you when applying.
Typically on forum roleplays, there will be a “forum” for completed applications and a separate one for unfinished applications. If you haven’t finished your application but you want to go ahead and post it, you should post in the unfinished section and come back to it to finish up when you can. Once you’ve finished, most sites just ask that you reply to your own application with something like, “i’m finished.” or “i think this is ready to go.” This is referred to as a bump. You’ll often see someone saying things like, “You can only bump your request once every three days.” or “If you’re finished with your app you can bump it so the admins see that you’re done.” That’s what they’re talking about when they say that.
After Your Application is Accepted
If the admins feel that your application needs a little more for them to get a full grasp of your character, your application may be pended and a message sent to you. Try not to take this as an attack. This is just an opportunity for you to dig deeper and get to know your character even more than you already do. A good admin will let you know what part of your application could use some more meat and may even give you advice/suggestions if you ask. Everyone gets a pended application at some point or another. Don’t fret.
Once you get the glorious stamp of approval your application will be moved to the accepted forum. This is where you will plot with other characters. Don’t get over eager yet though. After acceptance it is important to make all your claims. You’ll need to go post in the face claim thread with the appropriate code, even if you reserved the face before. A reserve is not endless and will run out. If you don’t want to risk losing your face you MUST go update your claim. Many sites also have a member directory claim, which usually allows you to give a short blurb about yourself and lists your characters so everyone knows who plays which characters. Sometimes there is even an occupation claim so everyone can see their characters coworkers and this kind of claim can making plotting a breeze.
Once all claims are made, you can finally get into the really fun stuff. ( I personally really adore the character creation stage but plotting/writing is the best part of roleplaying obviously. )
Plotting
Plotting, like in all roleplays, is important to help you establish character interactions and relationships. To begin plotting on a forum, you need to find the forum where all accepted character applications have been moved. The applications are often categorized by membergroup. Read a character’s application to determine if that character is someone that yours would interact with in some way. When you have an idea all you need to do is post in the character’s application (also often called a shipper) with that idea.
Again, reading the replies on others will help you understand how plotting on a forum works.
Once plotting is established and you’re ready to start writing with someone it is time to start a thread. To do so you find the location that you want your thread to take place in. Say you want the interaction to occur in a house. There should be a forum titled ‘residences’ or ‘homes’ or something similar. You should go to that forum and find the button that says ‘new topic’ or ‘new post.’ When you’ve finished your starter you just hit submit and wait for the other person to tag you back in the same thread.
Tagging
I prefer jcink forums above all else, so I wanted to add in a bit about their alert system. On jcink forums you can tag your rp partner when you reply to a thread that you have together. You can do this by adding @[character’s username]
This will send them a notification that you have tagged them in your thread.
Have fun!
It might all seem complicated in the start but forum roleplaying really is a very organized fun way of roleplaying. It also doesn’t take long to pick up. You’ll find your way around in no time.
Please let me know if this was helpful to anyone or if you’d prefer I shut up. Suggestions are welcome. Let me know if screenshots would help this guide or if there is any area of forum roleplay that you would like more detail on. I’m here to help!

Introduction to TS4 modding!
Hi friends!
About two years ago, I uploaded an introduction post to CC and mods! This is my edited version, as of 2/27/2019. Feel free to leave any comments/constructive criticism! And if you have any questions, let me know and i’d be happy to answer them for you!
-
Sims 4 mods can be a bit confusing and I don’t blame you. For years, I didn’t even bother looking at mods because it seemed so complex and over my head.
Let me first start off by telling you, mods are nothing to be afraid of. I am going to give you everything you need to know to mod your game. Everything- from CAS Hair to adding traits to your game!
What is Custom Content?
Also known as “CC”
Custom Content is items that are added to your game. This does not edit the game files in any way. For example: Shoes, Computers, Hairs, Beds, Etc. Things you can use in either CAS or Build mode.
CC is created by meshing, which can be done in Blender, MilkShape, and other 3D rendering programs. This will be relevant later.
CAS- Create A Sim
Build Mode- The mode you’re in when editing/creating a building on a lot.
Custom content can be downloaded from many many sites. But my favorite ones to download from (That are trustworthy) would be
The Sims Resource and Tumblr
Please be aware, Downloading CC Files isn’t always safe. CC Files can break your game but luckily, it can always be fixed.
Tip: Do not turn on automatic updates for TS4. Whenever TS4 has an update, REMOVE YOUR MODS. That can also break your game.
There are two different types of CC Files. Packages and Zip Files.
Packages is usually just one cc file. and Zip Files tie all packages together.
For example, Let’s say your downloading an outfit. (Top, Bottom, and Shoes). Package files can only hold up to one item. So-
Package File= Top
Package File= Bottoms
Package File= Shoes
Zip File= 3 Package Files.
These Zip Files need to be extracted.
Extract- pulling the files out of a folder that is zipped.
Or- you can unzip the file, which then allow any external programs to access that folder.
So when placing CC Files into your Mods folder (User/Documents/ElectronicArts/The Sims 4/Mods) You do NOT place zip files in your Mods folder.
When you extract zip files, it extracts them into folders. This can be extremely helpful if you prefer your mods folder to be organized. You can directly put folders into your mods folder, and TS4 will still read & recognize them.
Zip files can be extracted in 2 ways.
For PC:
1. You can manually extract by double-clicking the zip file, which will then open the zip, allowing you to copy and paste your cc files in your Mods folder.
2. You can download WinRar which is a program that easily extracts your files to a specific destination.
For Mac:
1. Double-click the zip and it will automatically extract into a separate folder for you!
2. Download an extracting program, Like WinRar, or one from the App Store to extract your zips.
Script Mods.
Script mods are different from CC files. Script mods edit your game files and add on to the base game.
This is where ‘How CC is made’ becomes relevant. Script mods are not 3D rendered. Scripts directly change how the game functions with hand-written code.
Script mods can be extremely dangerous. CC does not edit your game files, it’s basically just an add-on.
Script mods are installed just like Zip Files. Do NOT extract them from the zip file. You simply place the entire zip file in your mods folder.
The reason for this is that script mods are coded using Python. It’s a coding language that can be read by the game files. Every file in the zip of the script mod is needed to be able to work properly in your game!
For example, if you removed a folder from your TS4 file location, it wouldn’t work properly. And same goes for Script mods.
Next!
How Do I Install Mods to my Game?
It’s really easy! Let me show you-
First, start TS4 and wait for it to load up to the main menu. At the top right of your screen, you should find a tab with different buttons on it. There is a button with three vertical dots.
Pushing this should open up your Settings.
On the left, click the tab “other”
You will see that there are boxes that haven’t been ticked.
There are two options, Enable Custom content and mods, and there is Script mods allowed.
Tick both and ensure that they’re on. And DO NOT forget to press apply changes.
The picture above shows all the files located in your Documents folder. This is where you’ll find your Electronic Arts folder. With your TS4 game files located inside it.
This is what you get when you go into your game files. Your game really needs these! Without them, there would be no game. So make sure not to fiddle with any other folders.
This TS4 folder has cache files, screenshots, music, and all your log files! (and a lot more but i’d rather not torture you!)
This TS4 folder also has your Mods folder located inside. (It generates it automatically! So if you ever accidentally delete, Don’t worry! You’ll get a new one!)
The file pathway is (User/Documents/Electronic Arts/The Sims 4/Mods) If that’s easier for you to remember. All you have to do is Copy your downloaded CC files (They’re in your downloads folder) and drag them into Mods folder.
This is totally optional but to make it easier for me to move all my downloads into my mods folder, I pinned the mods folder to the left column, Quick access. (This doesn’t move the file pathway, it just pins it there so you dont have to go looking for it everytime you go CC shopping)
Tray Files
These are fun.. (Not really)
Tray files are REALLY WEIRD. They aren’t custom content files at all. They’re actually files that add full body sims and lots into your Sims Library. (You find both the sims and lots in game.)
Tray files, Like Script mods, Come in a Zip File. But these files DO NOT belong in your Mods folder. They won’t show up in your game because it has no way to.
Extract the files, and drag them into your Tray folder that is inside your TS4 folder, along with the rest of the game files.
If you look closely, You can see your Tray folder and your Mods folder. So they are both located in your Sims 4 game files but there is a HUGE difference between Mods, and Tray files.
