I am watching a live stream of a production of the Jane Eyre musical (which is one of my faves and severely underrated imo) and why, at some point in this musical’s history, did they move THIS ABSOLUTE BANGER from the end of act one to the middle of it?? The end of act one is now this song which is fine but NOT AS AN ACT FINALE

I’m so confused. Who is the last twenty years decided this was a good thematic change??

Anyway, listen to the first song linked it’s one of my favorite musical theatre songs (and genuinely probably one of my favorite songs in general)
