Comic practice featuring the following scene from the absolutely wonderful fic “Nothing Heals the Heart Like Hypothermia” by @lyrabythelake
•
“You know that’s not what I meant,” Warriors said calmly, as if speaking to an unreasonable child. Unfortunately for him, it only increased Time’s frustration, lighting a spark of anger, warm in his chest in comparison to the frigid air.
“What do you mean then?” Time turned in the deepening snow. Warriors stopped dead in his tracks and stared back. He had wrapped his scarf around his mouth and nose and his hair was caked with the kind of snow that sticks and clings to all the creases in your clothes, and the tips of his ears were turning slightly purple. “I know you get desensitised to the value of individual lives in the army, but this is Twilight we’re talking about.”
A flicker of hurt washed over Warriors’ visible features and Time’s anger immediately retreated. It was a low blow; he knew more than anyone how Warriors felt every single one of his troops’ deaths like that of a close friend’s. Blamed himself for more than a few of them.
He sighed regretfully, glancing to the empty land around them that showed no sign of their friend, before looking back at Warriors. “Go back, there will be no judgement from me.”
Sometimes, he could still see a lot of his old big brother in Warriors, different now because they had both changed since. Sometimes—embarrassingly—he wanted to curl up beside him and tell him all his fears, just like he used to in those flimsy military-grade tents way back when, as if he weren’t a fully-grown man with a house and a wife and adult-y responsibilities.
Other times, it was like looking at a stranger, someone from another life that didn’t belong in this one. He used to know how to speak to him, their conversation was effortless, and yet now, he hadn’t even a clue whether he would storm off in rage or silently forgive him for using his past against him.
There was a moment where they both stood in stiff expectation before Warriors raised his chin slightly and overtook him.
“No man left behind,” was all he muttered, and Time nodded gently before hurrying to keep up with him. “

Notes about the OC Links in the LU Chain:
Gerudo Link is anxious as heck. He knows these are actual Heroes of Hyrule. First of all, he isn’t nearly worthy enough to be anywhere near them, and especially not to be lumped in with them. Secondly, he’s a male Gerudo. Surrounded by people who traditionally kill those because traditionally the male Gerudo were bad people. So uh… he’d rather not point out that he’s Gerudo. In fact, he’d rather not be perceived at all. That fisherman kid garners a ton of attention, maybe he can keep the heat off him, then.
Mystery Link wants nothing to do with this but knows there’s no way he can avoid it. He’ll linger on the outskirts to watch out for everyone, to make sure that these Heroes can do the job. He honestly just wants to find the gate that’ll take him home. He can guard the homeland while they deal with the issue directly. But it… doesn’t feel right to do that to them. Not when he’s sure they’ve endured plenty as well. So he’s just irritated and resigned to it. But he won’t get attached to any of them. So he’s staying as far from them as possible. He’ll let them play with Friend, though. (She spills a lot of his secrets to Twilight, such as his terror of losing anybody else)
Lurelin Link just lost his companion after his adventure, so seeing Wild is really exciting and quite jarring and more than a little painful. He’s trying to figure out who he is and how he relates to his friend, who has now moved on and is at peace. He doesn’t dare elaborate about his own journey, but he tries to tease Wild’s story out of him and the others. He also is a good cook, and he bonds with Wild over that. He’s more than eager to help everyone defeat the Shadow.
Power Link is stumbling into this mess while his wife is actively in labor with Sonia. He is in an insane head space right now, depressed to the brink of suicidal ideation, worrying about Zelda because what the hell is happening with her and the baby, sick to his stomach that he’s even having a baby and terrified and feeling awful about having so many mixed feelings about an innocent child, and extremely sleep deprived. The idea of a new adventure to defend Hyrule in a way he can understand brings both something for him to cling to and an excuse to maybe just… not come home. Die like a warrior. It can’t be that… bad… right?
#Y’all how do I even tag this lol#Crossed Links#HA#that works XD#Who do you guys think they’d befriend/bond with the most?#Obviously Lurelin will likely bond with Wild but also kind of have mixed feelings about it#but I feel like he’d bond well with Wind and Twilight#Idk about the others#Time might be able to reach out to Mystery maybe#lu au

Just saw the update!
So, first thoughts!
Gremlin Legend and Sky is something I am LIVING for. Sky's little look of approval as he stands between Wars and Legend after that little move is sending me!
(Wild is not impressed)
I also really love that JoJo played with Warriors' cape/scarf being capable of doing that, which is a major risk btw, but I love that we see it's potential now!
Like, Legend's timing is perfect (and I love that this confirms the Legend v. Wars dynamic we all love) especially considering Hyrule was literally talking about the same thing and you'd THINK Captain-War-Hero over here would be more cautious because of it (although the fact this implies Legend doesn't trigger Warriors danger sense is GREAT for the fluff fic writers like me!)
Time and Wars looking like disappointed parents though is brilliant
(Warriors with messy hair is so funny to me, help)
The continued portrayal of Time being too harsh with the boys, all tense after what happened to Twilight, that's great. i'm glad the consequences of past events are following them, it really makes this all feel linear!
I also am ALL HERE for the boys finding their differences! Warriors and Wild both admitting to being new to dungeon crawling and the monsters involved is a great thing we've all been playing with in fics, but making it cannon feels like validation :)
Also, Warriors being defensive of that, and maybe a bit prickly about their judgement, I think it shows a lot of him. he's got his pride,a although he's learned to tame it. He's feeling a bit miffed to realize how different he is, but doesn't want them seeing him as lesser as well (although they never would). I can also hear him using a clipped military sort of tone when speaking here. It's just the way his words are selected and strung together that makes it seem he's being very to the point, direct, and cold in his tone, which really sells the whole difference between a soldier and the "average nobody" that the rest of them were (ironic, since he's trying to act like the difference isn't a big deal but only further accentuates it this way).
Twilight being pleased that Epona is fine and just enjoying a meal made me grin so big though. He's all worried for his girl but she is, quite literally, happy as a horse over there LOL
Also, this bit:
recognition for Sky's right-handedness, my beloved! (JoJo is giving us all the easter eggs!)
The fact that the passage is too small to let them all fight though is a brilliant way of preventing some of our heavy hitters and more skilled heroes from being able to do anything though!
I like how that gives us the chance to see Time one-shot the foe and also gives him the impression that the rest are maybe not skilled enough to do this alone. WE all know they are, but they're a handicap to each other right now, and it's only further cementing in his mind that they're not ready for all this, which will make his overbearing speech and the judgement he casts on them in combat all the more an issue.
I mean, we all know the hero's shade was like that, but JoJo has shown Time acting this way from the start
(Deep Shadows P.2)
(Likelike)
So I guess we're in for more of that now, and most likely someone (probably Legend, as it's usually him, or Wind, who is very aware of judgement from teh rest) is definitely going to have to call him on it soon, maybe in the dungeon. Will that lead to some bonding with Time where he has to admit he cares and worries about them as though they're his own? I hope so!
Anyways, all this to say, we really are seeing how much they struggle to work together, so hopefully this dungoen will teach them all how to do that better, as Time mentioned earlier
(Dawn p.8)
Now, to finish it off!I would like to thank JoJo for giving us so many beautiful shots of Twi this time around. I'll admit it now, he's pretty darn fine <3
That said, I'm loving the Legend content too! i hope we get to see some more starring moments from him going forwards, what with him being the dungeon veteran and all! It's great seeing his childish/playful side these last few updates, but I'm really craving some veteran Legend right now >:)

New Rehab Program - Pt 4
A/N: Hey if you wanna get tagged, just tell me! Cuz life makes me update slow, rip
Warnings: Mention of blood, mention of you being badly injured, mention of death, also you hate the Twilight saga
During the next couple of days, Shigaraki was oddly 'clingy'. Not physically, but he was always following you around like a dog or cat.
You were watching tv? He was there, sitting on the lazyboy, playing on his phone while sometimes, looking at what you're watching too.
In the kitchen? He was there, sitting on the kitchen island, still doing his own thing though.
The only times he wouldn't follow was when you were in the bathroom, or your bedroom. During those moments, he'd stay in his room. WITH HIS DOOR OPENED. He never closed it now!!
You didn't really understand that sudden switch in him until you decided to examine his behaviour.
From what you had observed, he was clearly grateful to be freed from this collar. That was an easy guess though because the day when you removed it, you put it on the counter. Guess what? Next day there was only a pile of dust left there.
It made you smile, because in all honesty, you would never put it back around his neck. He wasn't a wild animal or caveman with rabies.
You quickly realized that, him following you around, was his own way of saying that he appreciated your presence. Though, knowing his personality, you knew he'd tell you the opposite.
He was still quite silent but at least he didn't ignore you when you asked or talked to him.
You were more than glad to see all this progress when all you did was being kind and patient to him. Even if there was still lots of work to do.
"She should dust them both" Shigaraki hissed at the tv.
You had been bored and had decided to rewatch Twilight. Tomura was still on his phone but he was clearly more focused on the movie. You didn't like this saga but you watched it to see his reaction, to see if he disliked the franchise like you. Was it some kind of therapy? Not really, it was more like bonding time. So far, his reactions were hilarious but you kept your laughs inside.
"Why does Jacob has screen time? He should be a background character only" The white haired man hissed again.
At this point, your show wasn't Twilight anymore but Tomura.
"Why does Jasper keeps staring like a fucking moron? I want to kill him." He went silent for a few seconds. "Is Bella a fucking zombie? She has no emotions" He growled before adding. "If she's a zombie, that would fucking explain why she smells weird to them"
Your laughs escaped your mouth without your consent but you couldn't stop them.
Shigaraki snapped his head in your direction and raised a brow. "Why are you laughing?"
"Sorry it's you- You're just funny, 'cause I agree with you" You wiped your eyes, sighing with a smile.
"Was this a therapy?" He growled in a very low and menacing voice.
"No, I was bored and thought it could be fun" You chuckled and shrugged. "I like judging that saga with my friends"
"I'm not your friend" Tomura frowned.
"Maybe, but it's still fun, right?" You smiled.
Tomura narrowed his eyes as he stared at you, probably trying to decipher how the gears in your brain worked.
After that, he stayed silent for the rest of the movie. Even if his mouth was shut, you could read his body language. He hated that movie and that was an amusing sight.
During the week, All Might, Eraser Head, Tsukauchi and some of your bosses showed up.
You were all sitting at the dining table. Shigaraki and All Might sitting at both ends, right in front of each other. As if they were kings of some kind. Well, Tomura was trying to look intimidating but All Might? He probably just took the first chair he spotted.
As a normal civil, you'd think that everyone was pissed at each other but as a therapist or as someone very observing, you knew how to decipher people. All Might was nervous, Eraser Head was on his guard, even if he hid it quite well, your superiors were angry, Tsukauchi was calm but intrigued while Shigaraki was fuming. He hated those people.
What about you? You were nervous, sitting there in the middle of this silent war. And also because you removed Tomura's collar without anyone's permission, oops. Oh and with the help of All Might on top of that….
Tsukauchi spoke first. "I will ask some questions to begin"
You nodded and dared a look in Shigaraki's direction, he was glaring at Tsukauchi. He knew he couldn't lie, because he knew the cop's quirk and that must be pissing him off.
"Have you two been manipulated to remove his collar?" The officer clicked his pen, turning to you and All Might.
"No" You and All Might shook your heads and Tsukauchi wrote something down before turning to the 'ex-criminal'.
"Have you manipulated them?"
It took a few seconds before Tomura only shook his head, clearly pouting at the officer's quirk. Tsukauchi could detect lies.
"Were you trying to hurt your therapist before your collar reacted?"
"Yes" The white haired man narrowed his crimson eyes.
Tsukauchi didn't seem surprised. "Why?"
"Because they were pissing me off"
Ha, yes, Tomura's famous excuse over anything really.
The inspector noted something before turning back to you. "Has he tried again?"
You shook your head.
Tsukauchi nodded before looking at your superiors, telling them that his part was done.
One of your employers sat down in front of you with a menacing frown. "Now, why did you remove his collar? Do you know the risks?"
Ah, there it was. The one million dollar question. You gulped as you felt everyone's eyes on you but not Tomura's. He was glaring at your superior. But why? Wasn't he interested into what you were about to say?
"Because it's inhuman, because he is NOT a wild animal with rabies. He is NOT a do who has to be put on a leash. He is HUMAN. No one should treat a human like this, it's unfair and cruel. Sure he probably did-"
"Nah, I never put a fucking collar on anyone. I just used handcuffs on that young brat and even removed it from him before he fucking decided to attack me."
"We're not talking to you, Shigaraki" Eraser Head frowned at the man.
Shigaraki only raised both his hands in a 'defensive' way and scoffed.
You decided to continue.
"Yes I know the risks. He can be dangerous, he has free will, like any of us. But I strongly believe that for example, forcing someone to eat when they don't want to is a very bad idea. Just like how you guys forced him into this therapy and forced him to wear the collar."
Everyone stayed silent as they registered what you said.
Oh fuck-
Maybe you spoke too much?
But before you could worry, a huge hand was softly put on your shoulder, All Might was smiling at you with pride and comfort in his eyes.
He was probably thinking that you were the perfect therapist for Tomura. That choosing you was the right choice.
You had only under 5 years of experience and yet, people liked you because you made the therapies different. And for some reason that you ignored, people had started talking about you and it had eventually landed in All Might's ears.
So when he showed up at your workplace, you were speechless. He had asked you, THE symbol of peace, had asked you to help him.
That day, you led him to your office, thinking that he needed therapy. He wasn't there for himself, but for Tomura Shigaraki.
At first, you honestly couldn't understand why he wanted to save the 'apprentice' of his now deceased, arch nemesis. Well no, All Might was known to help countless of people no matter who they were. But then he had revealed you something intriguing. Nana Shimura. Tomura's biological grandmother. Who was no other than All Might's mentor.
Again, you were speechless so you had let him continue. The way he spoke about her, she was a mother figure to him. It clicked in your mind. He wanted to save Tomura because he was family to him, because he felt a mountain of guilt on his shoulders for not being able to be there for the ex-villain.
Frankly, you weren't supposed to let your feelings decide as a therapist but this case touched your heart. You wanted to help. But also, if a criminal as bad as Shigaraki was open to get into therapy, wouldn't that mean he wasn't as bad as we think? Plus, that meant you could help fixing society, right?
You sighed with a smile and glanced at the white haired man.
The villain was staring at you as if you had just confessed that you were an alien sent on Earth.
You chuckled. How great would that be? No more crimes. Just peace and happiness. Sure it probably sounded like an impossible dream but hey, if you could save THE Tomura Shigaraki, you would be saving thousands of people, right?
Your superiors and the Pro Heroes discussed together about this whole 'collar removed' situation.
They weren't really happy with this but the heroes (mostly All Might), had taken your side. You were quite surprised that Eraser Head and Tsukauchi seemed to believe in you too. Again, hella surprising, but much appreciated.
You watched them leave with their cars as you stood in the doorway. Once they were away, you walked back inside and closed the door.
Tomura was still sitting at the table, staring at nothing.
"Are-" You remembered that he disliked being asked if he was okay. "Tomura? You're staring into the void"
He didn't react.
Hm, what could you do?
Ah right! He was obsessed with video games, from what you observed. Hell, you didn't even need to be a therapist to find that out. You decided to speak his 'language'.
"If you keep doing this, you'll start glitching and crash the game"
Tomura finally glanced at you with a scoff. You smiled, happy to see that it worked.
"Never been this close to Eraser Head.." He mumbled.
"Are you a fan?" You genuinely asked.
Shigaraki's face scrunched up as he frowned. "No"
You nodded, you weren't going to ask more so you only headed to the living room.
And just like the past few days, he followed a few seconds later. He plopped on the couch and grabbed his phone while you turned your favorite console on. You picked a new game.
After an hour, you weren't far into it but it had piqued Tomura's curiosity as he often looked up at the TV screen. You were struggling with a boss.
"Don't"
You didn't listen, you were stubborn when you had an idea.
"Dodge! Just- Damn it! What the hell are you doing??"
"I AM dodging!" You replied back.
"No you're not, hand me that!" He leaned towards you and reached for the controller. But you stubbornly refused and stretched both arms away from him, while still holding it.
Did you forget that he was also stubborn? Yes, yes you did. He almost climbed on top of you to snatch the god damn controller.
"Tomura! I can do it on my own! Go away!" You tried pushing him back to his place with your foot but as you both stretched further to keep, (or grab) the controller, you dropped it on the floor.
"HA! Dibs!" The white haired man jumped off the couch to snatch it.
"No!" You quickly grabbed his shirt and he fell on you.
It hurt, you both groaned then immediately froze when you realized, with wide eyes, how close your faces were from each other. You both stared at the other for what seemed like an eternity. He leaned his face closer and closer until your lips were just an inch away. You were short circuiting and shut your eyes hard, panicking a little.
Suddenly his weight was gone.
You opened your eyes, letting out a breath that you'd been holding. Your heart was also pounding, ready to break your ribcage while Tomura was sitting on the floor, in front of the tv, like nothing happened. He didn't seem to give a shit either because he had snatched the controller when you closed your eyes.
But- What happened?
Your cheeks were red and you felt like the room had suddenly become warmer.
Seriously- What the fuck just happened??
Blood
Everywhere
All around you
Shigaraki was holding you tightly against him, screaming in rage and agony. But why?
It was your blood
Your stomach had been shot and you were unconscious… Or dead? In his arms.
He was in pain too, but not physically. He only had small scratches. But his heart? It felt like someone had stabbed it
The young man closed his eyes as he cried. But why was he crying?
And when he reopened his eyes to look at you, the first thing he saw was his pillow that he was clutching against him. It quickly vanished into dust so the villain sat up, confusedly looking around. He was in his bed, right next to his gaming desk. He was back home, but how? Oh right, a dream. The white haired man glanced at the dust on his bed. He didn't care about his pillow right now.
He stood up, Tomura couldn't understand that weird dream. Why was his heart pounding in his chest? Why was his eyes felt itchy? He didn't like you. Did he? No, no he didn't. It was just a stupid dream. Maybe it was that weird werewolf vampire saga that messed up his brain, nothing else.
And yet, even if it was 2 am, he instinctively walked to your doorway. It was never closed for some reason, so he looked at your silhouette sleeping softly.
The bloodied scene came back to his mind and his heart restarted to ache. He couldn't understand, you were there, safe and sound. Sleeping peacefully. Nothing bad happened to you.
He decided to go back to sleep, but first, he needed to clean his bed.
Why did he needed to check up on you? It was only a dream so of course you were fine. His feelings were dumb, he frowned.
What the fuck did you do to him?
A/N: OOOOOOOH THE FEELINGS HAVE STARTED TO SHOW HEHEHE >:3

SETTING: HSH/LMTCOY VERSE.
CIRCUMSTANCES: NOT IN CRISIS/BASELINE.
QUESTION: WHAT ARE THEIR PERSONAL HYGIENE PRACTICES? AND WHICH PAIR OF LINKS HAVE THE MOST INCONGRUENT STANDARDS.
Have you truly prepared yourself for these answers, friend?
The general rule is that each of the boys has the sense to shower after a good workout or getting gross in some other way, no matter what their daily hygiene routine is otherwise. Under the cut because I had a TON to say about this apparently. I never even knew.
Time - He's a morning shower guy. He needs it to wake up and, since he likes to run or work out in the mornings, it makes for efficient timing. Plus let's be real, he's not getting the volume in those bangs unless he applies it in the morning, every morning. He prefers to be clean-shaven, making that therefore a daily duty. He used to use a combination shampoo and conditioner before Warriors got to him, and even if his hair is softer now he sure as hell isn't going to admit that to anyone. If he has a particularly eventful day at work, he'll have an evening shower as soon as he gets home, too--very hot and very, very thorough, followed by an aspirin nightcap.
Twilight - He's such a night-showerer. I attribute it to being raised on a farm. He gets up, he gets shit done, in fact he's getting shit done the whole day long so that by the time he's through Twi is ready for a hearty meal, some time to shoot the shit with his friends, and a hot shower before bed. He's not too fussed about making sure his stubble is shaved down every day, although for an event or something he's sure to be clean-shaven. Doesn't believe in conditioner. Twi's toxic trait is using the same towel for a week or more.
Wild - Showers occur daily, although at random times of the day. Maybe it's right after breakfast. Maybe he has to prep something for dinner, so he hops in sometime in the afternoon. Shaving occurs when he feels like it, although his facial fuzz is pretty sparse so it never matters much. His real barrier to entry is the length of his hair and the time it takes to dry it. Thus, hair washing is a once- to twice-weekly event at most. You know he uses Mane n' Tail shampoo, and he swears by conditioner, mainly because it helps him comb through all the tangles. He doesn't dry his hair, just plops it on top of his head in a towel or braids it damp to keep it out of his way. You always know it was a wash day because there's a six to eight-inch ring of dampness outside of the shower curtain. Hope none of the other boys were keeping a dry towel in there for any reason.
Champion - Showers after every work-out, so at least once but often twice a day, morning and afternoon. His showers are thorough but short: quick shave once a day every day, shampoo, soap up, rinse all at once. He's in an out of the shower in six minutes flat. He washes his hair EVERY time and towels it dry (RIP those split ends). Fastidious but utilitarian, Champion isn't one for conditioner or aftershave. He also didn't start using antiperspirant until he was in the Guard and saw that everyone else used it.
Warriors - There are two types of showers for this man. The first is the daily affair, usually taken as soon as he wakes up. He starts by warming the water while brushing his teeth (recharging electric toothbrush only) and inspecting his brows, then washing his face with a gentle cleanser containing salicylic acid (the only boy on the list so far who does), followed by a thorough shampoo and conditioning (this is the longest part of the routine). While the conditioner sets he takes a moment to inspect his nails and attend to any cuticle mishaps, then there's a rich lathering of shaving foam applied to his face, his underarms, maybe his legs if he needs it that day. (Before you ask: the hardwood floors get addressed by a trusted professional, licensed and bonded). He has a natural sponge for washing and exfoliation. Once all that's done, he has specific microfiber twist-towels for his hair (I hc he has natural waves or loose curls) and his towels are white and washed in unscented detergent. The rest of his routine has to be attended to in his room; he's already been in the bathroom well over the prescribed 20 minutes per shower, according to Legend. His other type of shower is the Spa Night affair, and that's more of a bath situation.
Sky - Ohhh Sky darling. I love him so, and his hygiene practices are adequate, but somewhat questionable in my book. He's a morning showerer, definitely needs that wake-up rinse, and the bathroom is his stop immediately after chugging orange juice at the fridge each morning. (Yes, right out of the carton. Yes, his name's on it.) He's an electric razor guy because it's quick. He always gets in the shower before the water is warm enough because he's impatient in the mornings, and he subsequently gets burned when it gets too hot and has to stand outside the spray doing that quick-reach-for-the-handles-and-shrink-back thing until it's cool enough to resume. My biggest hangup is that he uses a combination shampoo-conditioner-body wash product. Because it's quick. His hair is fluffy because it's probably dry as shit. The other thing about Sky is that he never EVER remembers to lock the bathroom door, so whenever he's in the shower it's a free-for-all if anyone else wants to come in and brush their teeth or whatever.
Legend - In the beginning, when he was living with Hyrule in that first apartment, Legend wasn't a daily showerer. He was pretty fucking depressed, so it ended up being every third or fourth day, at least until he came around to realizing "Hey, this kills some time." He's another random-time-of-day showerer, and sometimes it's an overnight affair if he's out working late with Ravio (like, 2-4am). He'll use cheap drugstore shampoo and body wash, and on occasion will shamelessly use some of War's expensive bullshit conditioner for a special occasion. One of the few boys to use a hair dryer regularly. His toxic trait is putting his hat back on before his hair is completely dry, making the hair at the top of his head kind of stringy and limp most times.
Hyrule - Listen. Med school makes you a very versatile showerer. Hyrule has literally no preference for taking a morning or an evening shower anymore. Whenever he's awake enough and has enough time to spare is when he does it. He functions best with nighttime showers because it gives him ample time in the mornings to have his coffee and a slow wake-up. Rulie's hair is naturally curly, so his haircare routine is different from most. He actually doesn't use shampoo at all. He conditions every day, sometimes two rounds if he makes his little scalp scrub with brown sugar. He does a quick blind shower-shave and prefers a loofah. His toxic trait used to be towel-drying his hair until Warriors made him swear to never do it again. Now he wisely lets it air dry.
Four - Mister Nevernude showers before dinner since his work can get him fairly messy. At the very least, soldering leaves an awful smell in your hair. He's another user of cheap drugstore shampoo, he's not fond of conditioner, and is a bar-of-soap kind of guy. He used to take lightning-fast showers in the beginning until he really settled in to the house, and now he's in there for a more reasonable 10 minutes or so. He goes in fully clothed, he comes out fully clothed. Like Twilight, he unfortunately uses the same towel all week. He only has one, really, and just throws it in the laundry together with the rest of his clothing.
Wind - He is, unfortunately, not a daily showerer. He might go every other or even every third day, depending. That's only if he's shut in his room for a day or three, though. There's enough Axe body spray to make up for those days, at least in his mind. If he's going out, he has the sense to wash. He prefers coconut-scented products, uses a combination shampoo/conditioner product, and rarely remembers to replenish his body wash at the store so commonly chooses from some of his roommate's. He doesn't shave religiously but his facial fuzz is still fine and blonde, so it's not the worst.

Please tell me about a random Linked Universe headcanon you have (Its ok if you dont want to, no pressure)
ooooo i have a fun one! Its kinda multiple ones shoved into one but oh well
The chain's weird relationship with food
Im mostly doing the timeline order because im lazy and unoriginal:
Sky: He can kind of cook but he only ever makes one kind of soup or one singular type of meat in a specific way. I dont think the achademy would let them go off not knowing how to cook. He makes for a good back-up cook and the rest of the chain can be sure he will not put anything weird in it(unless Wild is "helping"). He isnt really that picky, but he doesnt like all foods either. He eats what he is given and likes most of it but i feel like his spice tolerance is shit. They did not have many spicy things on Skyloft. Will not eat Hyrules cooking.
Four: He can cook decently, but he cooks better if he splits, because if not he has to deal with the colors agruing because they dont agree on what type of food is best. There is a 50/50 chance wheter it ends up good or as a weird abomination with too many different types of flavour. Will eat most things but will not eat Hyrules cooking.
Time: He does not care. He can hypothetically cook but half the ingredients end up on the ground or eaten before he can even start. Is not picky at all, this man drinks poes, he will eat Hyrules cooking. And he will not complain at all. He also loves sweet food.
Wind: can make easy fish dishes but he has to have instructions. He is very good at cooking if he can follow step by step directions but he will probably get bored after a couple minutes and start messing with the recipie. He is not that picky and he probably would eat Hyrules cooking, and if there is something in his food he doesn't like he will not tell you because his grandma raised him to be polite.
Twilight: he can cook about as well as Sky, maybe a bit worse. The food he makes is either too bland or too spicy. He will eat a lot of things, including bee larvae, and Hyrules cooking. He probably wont complain either.
Legend: He is actually a really good cook, but he cannot cook over a campfire. Give him a kitchen and he can make amazing food but oveer a campfire? He could probably make something but chances are it would either be burnt or taste like how a campfire smells. He loves baking like his uncle taught him and hes very good at it. I dont get why so many people give him zero spice tolerance but i think Wild would stuff goron spice into something and Legend would just go "This kinda tastes like a subrosian dish" and keep eating. Chances are he would eat a rock roast too. He will eat Hyrules cooking and compare it to food from countries he traveled to. Him and Wild sometimes bond over recipies.
Hyrule: Cannot cook at all ever. Do not let him cook. Ever. He will eat anything. The only reason he hasn't died from food poisoning yet is because he can heal himself. Has probably made a living chuchu out of dinner once.
Warriors: Can make shitty army food that doesnt taste good but is 100% eadible. He could probably make something in a kitchen but he "doesnt have the time" even if he isnt doing anything important. Will not eat Hyrules cooking nor half the things Wild suggests making. Always keeps jerky on him, especially after seeing Hyrule cook.
Wild: amazing cook, however he can and will decide to spontaniously pour goron spice into the food hes cooking. He loves cooking and he is the designated cook for a reason. But the others are often scared he will put something weird into the food because he eats like Hyrule. He will eat Hyrules cooking and he will like it.
Bonus:
Ravio can bake a little bit but he is a lot better at mixing up fun smoothies, milkshakes, or similar things.
None of the Zeldas can cook for very different reasons. Sun can almost cook even if it tastes boring, but the rest? They either suck because the cannot cook at all even if they try(Dot, Dawn), they are used to others cooking for them(Dusk, Athena, Flora) and some dont bother trying to make "good" food because they would rather make "fun" food(Fable, Tetra). Aurora is an outlier who can cook easy meals but usually doesnt cook.
Shadow cant cook.
Malon can cook better than anyone else.
Groose is a great cook.
Linkle is almost as bad as Hyrule.
Myth can bake but cant cook, and Ballad cant do either.

I saw someone playing Twilight Princess and it got me wondering.
Does Chain have a horse or an animal companion? If so, what do they think of Key being around?
If not, what's Chain's and Key's thoughts about animals? (Are seen they pets, for working, or beings in their own rights?)
Are there any animals that hate Chain or Key on sight?
Sorry if this has already been asked. I looked through the blog but I was fast scrolling so I could have missed it.
(Also, I'm pretty new to LoZ so I'm not sure how common having animal companions is in the series. I've only got pieces of BoTW/ToTK and Twilight Princess as a reference point so my bad if it is pretty uncomon.)
Sooo, in loz almost all links have partners/companions and then there's only a few of them who have animal companions too, who are mostly used for transportation
From what I remember, the only ones who do have animals are sky, time and twilight.
Wild is an outlier since he can have horses but they're optional and he doesn't have an emotional bond with his horses lol
So, Key&Chain are post wind waker and post spirit tracks
Anyway, in the wind waker, since the land was flooded to the point of everyone living in islands on a great sea, there aren't many animals, just seagulls and pigs mostly
And then in spirit tracks, since it's post wind waker there aren't many animals either, there are rabbits though, that I remember lol (if anyone remembers more animals from spirit tracks let me know pls)
I suppose that by Key&Chain's time comes along, there could be more animals around, like cuckoos, but I like to believe horses and cows are completely extinct by that time
Travel in land is done via train, like in spirit tracks, so horses and carriages aren't necessary at all for normal life
Anyway this was a long way to say that no, Chain doesn't have an animal companion since he doesn't need them for transportation lol so like most links, he just walks around
In wind waker pigs can get pretty mad and charge at u if u bother them too much, so maybe pigs would attack them randomly lmao and well if there are cuckoos then those too

Do you think donovan has something to do w project apple? The one that makes Anya can read minds, and if he does do you think he experimented w his children? Or Demetrius is born that weird
Well, I think there might be misunderstanding about the name of the Project. Project Apple is experimented on animals like Bond Forger, to make them useful with special abilities, for Bond's case is predicting the near future. But of course, there are still some limitations: the future can be altered, it is not fixed, as can be seen in Spy x Family episode 13-16, when Anya reading Bond's future predictions and changed it before Twilight was in danger.
And if you are asking what project Anya is experimented, is actually "nameless". Throughout the series and manga, the name of the project is currently unknown, and I, myself, am not sure if the Tatsuya-san will reveal it... Yet somehow, the Internet "said?" that there are the same name? That confused me???
Anyway, this hypothesis about Anya and Donovan has gone wild ever since, so let me explain.
We haven't known much about Demetrius, the only time he appeared was when Damian called him to meet their Father, which can be found in this scene (Chapter 37)
youtube
To know more about chapter 37 -> link (it's not that I'm lazy, this post already analyze full so idk what to add...)
About the scars, here are my predictions:
Maybe he really is related to the Project, since the mark of the stiches are pretty close to Anya's. And some are suspected that the ornaments on Anya's head could be a way to hide her scars from the experiments, or I think they are literally just accessories for her hair, like when she was small.
About the scientists, some said that after Anya escaped, the only "laboratory rat" managed to survive, they may be working on animals, like Bond, after that, as "hope" for science to save "world peace". And Donovan could be either an experiment like Anya, testing some sort of weird stuff on himself, or someone like the scientists who just got injured from, like idk, being attacked by his "laboratory animals". And I think that the chances of him being injured from war is very low, because he is the one to start war between Ostania and Westalis.
Are there any chances of Demetrius inherit the intelligence from Donovan? I think no. It's definitely not from the crazy ideas of his own father thinking of war, Ostania and Westalis are currently in the period of the Cold war, where there are no need for weapons, yet politicians are in a tense period, with the risk of war breaking out. True that his intelligence might be genetically inherited, but I can assure that both Damian and Demetrius may know nothing about what he was planning. So, uh, yeah, Demetrius is just that weird, and he is an introvert. You can tell how short his lines are when he was on the phone.
Off-and-bonus topic: I am very suspicious about their mother, Melinda. She first appeared officially in chapter 65, and the bus hijack incident of the Red Circus Arc. When Damian spoke about Donovan, her expression changed completely, as if she hated him deeply and want him gone from her sight. This could mean that she might know about what he was hiding, and probably she has an obsession to Damian, her sweet son~(?)
Look, she is so sus for hell sure. >:( But I'm not sure whether or not she is evil? Even Loid is aware of her now...
Also, take a very close look at the dialogue after the hijack (Chap 75):
She truly loves Damian, yet what we didn't realize that, his brother, Demetrius was not even mentioned in her interior monologue(?)/ mind. We also know that she calls Damian as a curse...: "I never should have come here... If only he'd died in the hijacking...", "If only I weren't burdened with this child...", "How he disgusts me...". At first when this chapter was out, I read this part and thought "he" that she mentioned was Donovan, and now, re-reading this, she was mentioning Damian. And I have no idea if she cares Demetrius more than Damian, or is it the opposite?
And finally, I bet she is hiding something from Damian... I mean, when Anya was mind-reading her, she was a bit scared. A scary obsession to Damian terrifyingly... maybe something about Donovan and the war between the 2 nations.

I’m wondering if any of the chain members have any dietary restrictions and if so how do they deal with food while travelling I’d imagine some wouldn’t exactly need to eat ( wars, wild and time) but also most of the other might need to have different diets then the typical hylian. ( honestly only twilight and maybe four might be the only with a more typical diet)
This is a great question, and one that I’ve thought about at length. Sorry I took so long to respond, I’m so incredibly busy with my classes! I hope this answer is sufficient haha! (Under the cut because long)
Wild: Surprisingly, he does need to eat! Just, not for the reasons that you or I do. Wild does not feel hungry. His body does not consume energy (it’s not… physical, really). But his magic is based in the natural world, so if he’s hurt, he must strengthen bonds to nature. The easiest way to do this is to ingest things that come from nature. So like… any food ever. He gets hurt a lot (the little chaos gremlin) so he tends to eat a lot! And he may be a silly little guy, but he has standards. He’s an excellent cook, surprisingly.
Wars: Doesn’t eat. Can’t eat. Is a sword.
Time: Time doesn’t need to eat, but after spending his life as a mortal, it’s a pretty tough habit to break! He’s nostalgic about food, almost. While he doesn’t feel hungry, he doesn’t typically feel full, either. So eating won’t make him sick or anything. If he smells something tasty, he’d ask for a serving! Other than that, he doesn’t have any dietary restrictions.
Hyrule: Vegetarían! And he LOVES sweet things. He fills up on berries and then will go days without eating again- it doesn’t take much to sustain his little body. (Like Wild, he’s not exactly physical, either. Most of his body mass is just magic). Sugar water? His favorite. Jelly? He loves. He’s such a little guy, I love him.
Sky: Pescatarian! As Link, he was vegetarian, but Aepon really liked fish. To this day, Sky’s favorite meal is pumpkin and fish soup, which is a weird combination. But Pipit made it for him once and it’s been his favorite ever since! (A combination of Link and Aepon’s favorites). He’s not against eating meat but his body isn’t really equipped to handle it. Same with dairy- but no one knew that until they gave him a bunch of milk after hearing that he has fragile bones. He is morally against eating eggs.
Legend: He has to absolutely douse all of his meals with a bunch of salt or he’ll die, but he’s vibing. He prefers seafood, but he’s been living on land (and has traveled enough) to be able to stomach the plants that grow above water. He has even developed a preference for certain meats. He’ll take whatever he’s given, usually, and add his own salt haha.
Ravio: Literally the exact same as Legend. (Except he’s been neglecting the salt thing for pretty much his whole life. Someone help him, he’s not doing well).
Wind: Literally the exact same as Legend and Ravio, except he doesn’t need all the salt supplementation… at least not nearly to the same extent.
Four: Eats a typical diet! Nothing really to say here. Typical three meals a day, meat and vegetables and dairy and all that. Four will mix their food before eating, which the others might find odd. They prefer to have everything in every bite. Soups are good haha!
Twilight: Typical diet. He eats meat and vegetables and dairy and all that jazz. Lots of protein. He eats… more than you’d expect, and that’s because he has different forms to maintain. It doesn’t cost him anything to shift- it takes no energy- but if he only eats enough for a Hylian, he won’t be able to last long as a wolf or another large animal.
This post might offer some more insight!

Oh Look, The Brothers are Bonding
A Linked Universe Fic written for @/exhaustedvet during a LoZ AU Gift Exchange!
(2,547 Words)
Summary:
Legend was not ok. He was in an unfamiliar Hyrule with Wind of all people. “Where is everyone else?”
The boy shrugged, “Dunno. I jumped through the portal after you.”
Oh no.
-
OR: Legend and Wind are not close. Let's see how long that lasts when secrets are revealed.
(Ao3)
__
Link, or Legend now as of two months ago, didn’t want to be here.
He wanted to be in his cluttered home with his annoying roommate, or at least off on an adventure alone, not stuck with eight other people who all seemed dead set on him being a part of the group.
Every night by the fire, they wanted to sit around and tell stories with him or make small talk while heading to their next destination, or even coddle him after a battle. It was exhausting.
Oh, also they all had the hero’s spirit or something, but that’s not important.
-
It was midday in Twilight’s Hyrule. The sun beamed through the trees overhead, basking everything in a warm glow. They were walking for what felt like hours and the sailor was falling behind. No matter how many times Warriors offered to carry him, he would refuse and say something that would have even the toughest men blushing.
It was honestly starting to annoy Legend. Yeah, a lot of them had been young when they pulled the sword so no one could judge, but that didn’t mean the kid had to drive them all up the wall with nonstop talking and being a genuine thorn in the side. All his stubborn attitude did was slow them down.
“Are you sure you don’t need to be carried?” Warriors asked for at least the hundredth time. “I really don’t mind giving you a lift until we reach the next village.”
Legend swore that Wind literally growled, “Yes! I’m sure and if you ask me again, I will shove my sword right up your-!”
“Wind. Watch your language.” Time called from the front of the group, not taking his eyes off the road. Twilight and Wild snickered at his sides.
It was a little funny to look back and see the kid’s face red from embarrassment—Karma at its finest. Whenever the goddess gave that specific child the hero’s spirit, she must have been drunk.
Speaking of the mentioned goddess, she must have not liked him thinking that because one second, he was chuckling to himself at Wind getting scolded, and the next he heard yelling from around him. He turned just in time to step through a portal that appeared in front of him.
“Ah, crap.” Was all he had time to mumble before falling through space and time. It was quite an uncomfortable feeling; like being shaken around in a blender, poured through a strainer, and then put back together. A solid 10/10 would not recommend experience.
Landing ungracefully on his stomach, the air was knocked from his lungs. He was seriously going to fight the goddess one day. Maybe that should be his next adventure.
After taking a moment to gather himself, Legend sat up and took in his surroundings. Around him was a patch of tall grass swaying softly in the breeze, with mountains and fields as far as the eye could see. The sun was now high in the sky, with small clouds dotting the view. It was beautiful, almost calming.
Taking a breath, he basked in the atmosphere. Maybe this was the break he deserved.
The moment was short-lived. He nearly jumped out of his skin when screaming started above him. Looking up, Legend spotted a familiar shade of blue growing closer. He didn’t have time to move before it landed on his chest.
Just his luck.
“Ow, oh! Sorry!” Wind jumped up, dusting himself off and reaching out a hand to help Legend stand. “You ok!?”
No. Legend was not ok. He was in an unfamiliar Hyrule with Wind of all people. “Where is everyone else?” He ignored the sailor’s help, getting to his feet on his own.
The boy shrugged, “Dunno. I jumped through the portal after you.”
He froze. This stupid kid. “You-!?” Of course, he would jump right through the portal! Wasn’t he falling behind? How the hell did he even get there!?
Wind didn’t seem to share the same worry, because all he did was tilt his head to the side confused. “Me?”
This was going to be a long few hours. Legend ran a hand through his hair, trying not to scream. “We need to find the others.” He did not want to be stuck with an actual child longer than needed. “Come on.” Looking around, he chose a random direction and started walking.
The sailor fell into step with him, adjusting the straps of his bag. Luckily, those stayed with them through the switch. “Where do you think we are?” He asked.
Now it was Legends turn to shrug. “Don’t know, don’t care.”
-
The sun lowered, causing the sky to glow a burned orange. Once again, Wind lagged behind. The kid really needed to work on his cardio.
“Keep up.” Legend called over his shoulder. “I would like to find the others before we die of old age.”
The sailor’s shoulders slumped. “I’m trying!”
Looking closer, he felt a little bad for the younger boy, whose boots dragged against the dirt. Maybe it was a good idea to stop. Legend himself was getting tired, and he didn’t want to walk through the night. Looking around, he spotted a small clearing through the trees. He took Wind’s arm and marched that way, ignoring the way the boy complained about being manhandled.
The spot seemed safe. Off the path so nothing could sneak up on them, yet close enough that they could make their way back in the morning. “We’ll set up here.” He instructed, dropping his bag to the ground.
The other was quick to follow, flopping down next to their things. “Oh, thank the gods! I thought my legs were going to fall off!”
He rolled his eyes with a small smile. Kids can be so dramatic.
Now it was time to go through the familiar routine of setting up camp. “Stay here.” He spoke, securing his sword to his back. “I’m going to get firewood.”
Wind did not listen, when did he ever? Instead, he hopped up and ran to Legend’s side, practically bouncing on his toes. “I’ll help!”
“No.” He quickly shot down. The last thing either of them needed was him getting hurt. Warriors would actually have his head on a stick. Legend would never admit it, but the guy could scare him sometimes; when he wasn’t fretting about his hair, at least. “Just…look through our bags for food or something.”
Once again, Wind did not seem to like that answer as he rolled his eyes and sat back down with crossed arms. “Fine. Whatever.”
He watched him for a second, slightly guilty. He didn’t want to be like some of the others and treat him differently because of his age. It was hypocritical to do so when almost all of them had faced danger quite young. He couldn’t help it, though. It was one thing to be a kid with the hero’s spirit; it was another to watch a kid, someone so young, fight every day, knowing how the story ends. Legend at one point used to be as carefree as him after all.
He sighed, leaving the clearing without a word. This was way out of his comfort zone.
-
The forest was calm as Legend picked through it. He didn’t need to go far for wood, but took extra time to organize his thoughts. The sun was low, low enough that the moon showed itself in the sky. He would need to head back soon and make sure Wind didn’t burn down their small camp. The thought made him chuckle some, but also kind of scared him. The youngest of their group could be a wrecking ball if he wanted to.
An ear-piercing scream echoed through the woods.
Legend dropped the wood he was holding, bolting back toward the clearing. His boots pounded on the ground as blood drained from his face.
“WIND!” He called, ignoring how the trees scraped against his legs as he plowed through the foliage. “YOU OKAY, KID?!”
The lack of response was deafening.
Breaking through the brush, saw two bags and nothing else. It was eerily still. Where the hell did he go? Legend’s heartbeat frantically in his chest, his mind swirling with worst-case scenarios. No way he lost the kid!?
Rustling across the tree line caught his attention. Slowly, he reached for his sword, unsheathing it. The cold metal against his hand was comforting; a reliable weight.
All was still for a moment. A standoff between Legend, and whatever hid amongst the leaves.
A mop of unruly blond hair littered with twigs burst out of the brush, grasping a sword and eyes wide. Upon noticing Legend, Wind grinned sheepishly. “Heyyy, Leg’.” Blood dotted his bright blue tunic. “Your back!”
Legend was at a loss for words. One order, he gave the kid one simple task! To stay put and organize food, but no! He couldn’t even do that! He stalked forward silently, eyes ablaze.
Wind took a step back. “I can explain!” He hastily shouted. “You see, I looked through our bags and thought we could use a little more food, and since you were gone, I figured I could get it myself!” Laughing awkwardly, he picked a branch out of his hair. “I found some berries that looked good, but then get this! A lizalfo jumped out at me! Not one of the black-blooded ones, a normal one! I handled it though, because I’m just that cool!”
Legend spoke slowly. “You handled it?” He towered over the younger boy, whose smile faltered. “Wind, you have blood on you!” Grabbing the boy’s arm, he yanked it over, showing a long cut going down his forearm.
Wind yanked his arm back, ducking between the taller boy’s legs to get away. “Most of it isn’t mine!” His face was red from anger, or maybe embarrassment.
Legend didn’t let him get far. Turning on a heel, he grabbed his shoulder, forcing them to face each other. “I told you to stay here! Not run off and get hurt!”
“I just wanted to help, and I can take care of myself!”
“Can you use your head for once!?” He yelled, practically shaking the sailor. “You are going to get yourself killed one day by not listening to simple instructions! The goddess must have made a mistake choosing you because there is no way in Hyrule that you should have lasted this long with dirt for brains!” He didn’t mean it. Wind was a talented warrior, one of the best. He was just…worried. Anything could have happened.
The younger boy didn’t look up. Instead, he kept his gaze on the tree line, body stiff.
Maybe Legend went a little too far. He was only a kid, after all. Slowly, he lowered them both to the forest floor. The crickets chirping, and the leaves moving were the only sounds.
“Why did you follow me?” Legend asked. The thought had been itching at the back of his head since they landed.
Wind looked away. “You have been leading us through this Hyrule. Of course I would follow.” He responded, dodging the question.
Legend narrowed his eyes, watching as the younger boy fiddled with the ends of his tunic. A breeze blew through, causing them both to shiver.
“You know what I mean.”
He didn’t respond for a long moment, just staring off into the distance with foggy blue eyes. Eventually, his mouth opened and closed a few times, trying to form a response. “Can I tell you something?” His voice sounded small, almost like the child Wind was supposed to be. He met Legend’s gaze.
It scared the veteran to see the youngest of their group, the one who shone like a light in all the dark times, be uncharacteristically quiet.
He nodded anyway.
Wind took a breath, preparing himself. “I- well, first off, you can’t tell anyone, or get mad.” Squeezing his eyes shut, he looked almost scared. Like he expected Legend to jump up and chase him away. “I don’t have the hero’s spirit.”
That was the last thing Legend expected to hear. A chill went down his spine.
The sailor continued. “I’m sorry.” Fresh tears filled his eyes. “I know I should have told you sooner, but I wanted to impress you! You have gone on so many adventures, and have all kinds of magic things, and I wanted you to like me! I want everyone to like me, and if they knew I wasn’t chosen, that I wasn’t a genuine hero, then they wouldn’t!” He practically yelled, franticly running his fingers through his hair. “That’s why I pushed past everyone and jumped in after you! I wanted to spend time with the hero of legend.”
Legend didn’t know what to say. He wasn’t some amazing hero, just a guy who went on a few too many adventures. No one a kid should look up to, or more importantly, compare himself to.
Slowly, he moved his arms, wrapping them around Wind in an awkward hug. “That is the stupidest thing I’ve ever heard.”
Wind looked up, sniffling. “What?”
“You defeated Gannon, right?”
The boy nodded. “Yeah. Stabbed‘em straight through the head.”
Slightly graphic, but that’s fine. “Then you are just as much of a hero as the rest of us.” Gently, Legend rubbed his back. “Maybe even more so. You did it without any divine intervention.”
“Really?”
“Yeah, really.” He cleared his throat awkwardly. “And uh, I’m sorry about what I said earlier.” Short, sweet, and to the point. Legend had never been the best at apologies.
He felt Wind’s arms wrap around his mid-section tightly. “It’s ok. I’m sorry too. I shouldn’t have run off when you told me not to.”
And that was enough mushy feelings for the next month. He ruffled the boy’s hair, pulling them both up. “Alright. Why don’t we fix up that arm and actually get some food before dark?”
“Can I come with you this time?”
“Of course.”
-
That night, they sat side by side as the fire roared and stars danced overhead. Wind lay against Legend’s side with a blanket wrapped around both of them.
“And that is how I met my roommate, who is also the most annoying person in the world.” Legend finished his story. How he was pulled into the classic bonding around the fire was a mystery. But unfortunately, he didn’t hate it.
Oh god, he was going soft, wasn’t he?
There was no response from Wind, which was slightly concerning. The kid had been a chatterbox since they wrapped up his arm and ate. A small snore had him looking down.
The boy was fast asleep, tucked under his arm and holding onto the front of his tunic. Legend smiled softly. It was slightly adorable. Never in a million years would he admit it out loud, but maybe, just maybe, he had begun seeing the youngest Link as a little brother.
How annoying.
Making sure the blanket was secure around them, he settled in for a long night of being a Hylian pillow. Would he wake up in the morning sore? Yeah. Would he complain about it to Wind until they found the others? Also, yeah. Did he regret it? Not a bit.

I'm so sorry. But I had to give this story as an idea. It's probably good. Maybe a twilight x solumate!reader (and wild). That also can also turn into a wolf (cause of the soulmate bond) with fur markings opposite to wolfie. And wild's getting strange flashbacks cause during his adventure he had the help of a pair of wolves that looked the same. I finally have the wolf link amiibo for botw. 💕I'm so happy.
Oh that's a cute idea!!!
And Reader and Twi on little wolf dates while Wild is on his adventure. <3
That's soooo cute!!!!
Two Wolfies!!!!
#pinky replies#anon stories#I have a bit of trouble pictures what you mean by the opposite type of marks from Twilight though#I'm just not sure what that would look like#and just because it follows the lines of the face#so the word opposite thrown in confuses me

My headcanon is that every Link and every Zelda falls in love. But it gets a little more complicated than that because I don't think they get together every time. So... Here is how I would justify every Zelink in the Legend of Zelda franchise:
(please note that I'm not saying other ships aren't cool. I personally like a lot of them.)
Skyward Sword: This one is probably as canon as Zelink has gotten so far. I don't know anyone that says that they don't have feelings for each other. These two probably founded Hyrule together. Maybe as a kingdom, maybe just as a small village below the clouds. Either way, the Royal Family traces their lineage back to this couple.
Minish Cap: This Zelink is very cute. I think they dated, and maybe even married. From what I understand about the timeline, though, this Link abandons Hyrule and lives the rest of his life cursed by the mind-shattering properties of the Four Sword. So, it was a relationship for a while, but they didn't grow old together.
Four Swords: There actually isn't a lot of information about this Zelda, but I like to think that they got together after Link saves her. They're cute.
Ocarina of Time: The way Zelda looks at Link at the end of the game is full of remorse. She doesn't want to send Link away from her, but she knows it's the right thing to do for his sake and Hyrule's. Also, the way Sheik looks at Link can't go unnoticed. That ninja isn't good at hiding his feelings.
Majora's Mask: The same as Ocarina of Time, but it's much more brief. I don't think Link ever returns to Hyrule Castle, but it's possible. It's more likely that he founded Ordon with Malon. That means that Malon and Link end up together, but Link's true love was the princess he saved in another time.
Twilight Princess: Zelda and Link barely talk in the game, and when they interact, it's only because Midna put them together. But with Midna out of the picture, I think they would still bond. Ilia gets friendzoned. Sorry.
Four Swords Adventures: I think I'll have to put this one with Four Swords as well. These games are a little weird in that the Links are so affected by the Four Sword that it's hard to picture them in a situation without it. If anyone else has thoughts on this Zelink, please lmk.
Wind Waker/Phantom Hourglass: Tetra and Link get together and found New Hyrule. This one is pretty self explanatory and difficult to argue against. Very cute and I love it.
Spirit Tracks: They were made for each other. They have so much of a connection because of their adventure together. Whether Link becomes an adventurer or an engineer, I think the princess has feelings for the Hero of Spirit.
A Link to the Past/Link's Awakening/Oracles: The cryptic uncle wants you to know that Zelda is your responsibility. Now that we've covered that, I think Link would have been with Zelda if it weren't for Marin. After Koholint, I don't think he really has it in him to have a relationship with anyone.
A Link Between Worlds/Tri Force Heroes: I think that after saving Hytopia, Link returns to Hyrule and asks for Zelda's hand. There's no reason why not to, and I don't think Link would have wanted to stay in Hytopia for the rest of his life. As cool as it is, it's a vacation spot. And Styla isn't the princess for Link.
Hyrule Fantasy/Adventure of Link: Two Zeldas, one Link. This one's kind of weird, but I think he'd rather be with the Zelda from his first adventure. Zelda the First only kisses him as a reward, probably the only reward she can give.
Breath of the Wild/Tears of the Kingdom: I mean, they live together. They hugged at the end of both games. What else do you want me to say?
#zelink#all the zelink#even though it doesnt work out every time#i think that what matters in the end is that the feelings are there#theyre a tragic couple cursed by the demon king#legend of zelda

if i may ask, for febuwump if u don’t mind, day 15 twilight asking “who did this to you” to a whumped legend? and then protective big brother mode activate
Oh boy, I had SO many ideas for this one! Apologies for it being (checks wrist only to realize I'm not wearing a watch) late? By....time? Anyways, here's some brotherly bonding! (And copious amounts of Twilight having friends because I can!)
Rating: Teen
Wordcount: 5,792
Summary: Being a big brotehr is stressful, and sometimes, Twilight just needs a break to go and be a person. When one of his brothers needs him most though, he's willing to drop everything. Although, in the end, it's not all bad.
(Warnings: References to alcohol and social drinking)
-
As a rule, Twilight loves his little brothers.
No matter who it is or what they’ve done, or even how much they might drive him up the wall on any given day, he loves them all the same and will always be there for them. Still, he’s only a man. Sometimes, as much as he loves those who he’s found as family, he also wants to get away for a bit and be not just a big brother, but more.
At Telma’s, he’s the hero, but he’s also the country boy who doesn’t know the city well yet. He’s the daredevil, because they've never met Wild or Warriors and they don’t know how much worse it really could be. To his friends, he’s the wild one, and for once, he’s not responsible for watching out for any of them. In fact, if he didn’t know any better, he’d guess they all feel the need to keep an eye on him. Ashei definitely does, all things considered, and Auru likely does as well. Considering he’s the youngest of the group though, son to one and young enough to be the child or grandchild of two others, it makes sense.
So, naturally, after a long day on the road with the other heroes, one where Wild has been not quite a pain in his ass but definitely a challenge, no one can blame him from wanting to get away from the champion a bit.
“It’s not that I don’t love the kid,” he tells the others, “But Ordonia’s Horns, does he try my patience some days.”
“What did he do?” Ashei’s dark stare flicks over him, lips twitching in what, for her, is a greatly amused smile. “Climb up a freezing mountain without proper gear and nearly get killed?”
His tankard hits the table harder than is really necessary, and he’s definitely not pouting as he stares back at her. “You’re never gonna let that go, are you?”
She just blinks at him, face unchanging.
Twilight sighs, running his free hand over his face and shaking his head at the same time. “No. He’s a smart kid, amazing at survival an’ he’d never make that kind of mistake. Well, not now.” Brows raise, but he quickly explains. “I’m sure near the start of his adventure he had to learn somehow, but as young as he is, he’s pretty exceptional in all things survival.”
The familiar clucking of Shad’s tongue announces the arrival of the scholar, who drops without a care into the free seat beside him, smile loose and, to anyone else, haughty. Twilight knows that smile though, knows it means mischief, and he’s not wrong. “And yet we got stuck with you, when we could have had someone so capable!”
Maybe, in the earlier days, he would have smacked the other for those words. In the early days he certainly would have wanted to, and he would have meant it too. Now, the urge to jostle him like he does with Warriors when the other teases him is still very much there, but he resists it. Shad may be close in height to the captain, but he’s not accustomed to taking blows, and a smack from the ranch hand may or may not actually leave him still sitting in his chair.
Instead, he settles for knocking his boot against the man’s ankles, staring at him pointedly. “Yeah, I’d love to see him launch yer skinny ass up to the sky islands. Don’t know if you’d survive the trip though.”
“But he’s a hero, saved a princess didn’t he? You expect me to believe he doesn’t know how to handle other living people?”
He snorts. His understanding of the younger hero is filtered through uncanny dreams that, apparently, show him things that actually happen between them in the future, in the cub’s era, but even if he doesn’t hold them as memories of his own (not quite yet) he does know how Wild treats his princess. “I once saw him push his princess down a mountain, so...”
“What?” Auru stares at him, and Twilight is abruptly reminded that their present company is not just people his own age who the shock factor works on, but also elders who might actually experience heart failure at some of the stories he could tell about his cub. “She was standin’ on a shield an’ they were doin’ this thing called shield surfin’. Worst she got was a face fulla snow when she skidded into a bank.” Somehow that doesn’t assure the elder very much. “She was laughin’ when we got her out, and she pushed herself down the next time.” He adds, watching Auru relax at least slightly at the words.
“Well then, it’s clear they were doing it in good fun,” Shad answers. “He doesn’t sound so bad.”
“Are you a princess?” He teases back. “Gee, Shad, I must have missed the tiara! Where you been keepin’ it?”
Unlike himself, Shad takes no issue with smacking him for his jesting. Unfortunately for the scholar though, he can take a hit, and at worst it just feels like a slight stinging from the impact. Shad, on the other hand, cradles his hand like it’s been broken.
Ashei shakes her head at the man, sipping from her tankard with a sigh. “You really should know better by now.”
“I forget!”
“You forget he’s a wall of muscle when you’re looking right at him?” Telma teases, waltzing over with a drink for Shad and offering a warm smile to all of them.
Twilight takes the opportunity to flip the glasses of his friend’s nose. “You need a better pair of these if you’re that blind.”
Shad squawks, fumbling for the fallen spectacles. It takes a moment, and his flailing almost ends up with them falling in his drink, but Ashei catches them neatly and offers them back. It's only when they're on the scholar’s face again that he turns to Twilight, huffing. “Why must you do that?”
“Because I can.”
And this is just what he means. He’s not the elder sibling here, he’s not in charge, he’s not the reliable one. To these people, he’s the young pup who beat Ganon, the country bumpkin up from Ordon who sees the city as a wonder and a giant. He’s just Link.
Not that he resents his brothers for needing him. No, he’s glad to have a place and to know what’s expected of him, to be able to do something for them. Still, sometimes he doesn’t want to be the level-headed, well-behaved example for the younger ones to emulate. Sometimes, he wants to be as crazy as his protege. The problem is, he can’t do that with them watching, he can’t when doing so jeopardizes the trust Time has in him to help keep the younger ones in line and out of danger from their own crazy exploits.
Here, he can be a bit crazy. Here, he can let loose. Here, no one can see him being a wild young man in his twenties. So, he enjoys it. He laughs and he teases and he and Shad go back and forth for the next hour or so with jabs and jests that have the others all rolling their eyes or sighing at them, stares heavy but not nearly as cold as they might appear to a onlooker.
It’s a good night all told. By the time they’re all getting up to leave, Auru’s already gone home, and Telma’s getting a start on cleaning up the bar for closing. Shad’s had a bit too much, although not enough to leave him a babbling mess, just a tired one, and Twilight and Ashei are left to shoulder the scholar and haul him back to his own home.
“I could haul him myself.”
“I don’t doubt it,” Ashei hums from where she has Shad’s other arm around her shoulders, “but we’d never hear the end of it if he found out you princess carried him down the street like a maiden.”
He sniffs. “If his pride’s that sens’tive, that’s his fault.”
Her lips twitch into a little half smile. For Ashei, that’s the equivalent of a cackle. “It’s bad enough being seen with a country boy who could crush him, being treated like a woman as well hardly helps his masculinity.”
“Again,” he chuckles, maybe slightly tipsy himself, “ain’t my fault he’s fragile.”
Dark eyes slide to stare at him, but his friend says nothing ore on the matter. There's not much more time to say anything either, since Shad lives relatively close to the bar anyways, so getting him home is hardly a lengthily journey. Getting into his place to drop him off is a bit of a mess, as Twilight does have to support the scholar long enough for Ashei to pat him down for his keys, but once she’s got them and unlocked the door, he does take the chance to sweep the smaller man up in his rms and carry him through the door, even as the swordswoman watches while shaking her head.
Once Shad’s laid in his bed, shoes off and tie loosened only because Ashei is a dear and not because of any kindness on Twilight’s part, they step back out into teh street together, pulling the once more locked door closed after them.
“He’s going to be pissed.”
He chuckles. “He can live with it.”
A gauntleted arm nudges against his, protected against impact unlike the scholar’s hand, and much stronger too. “You say that because you’ll be gone by morning and don’t have to deal with it.”
“You could be too,” he reminds her, “he’d never dare follow you up into the mountains.”
This time, the rough nudge actually makes him stumble. Maybe he is tipsy. He’s about to protest at teh rough treatment, or tease, he’s not sure exactly what it is that’s on his lips because it slips away in an instant when a soft noise, a familiar sound that is his utter weakness, sounds on the flagstones of the alley not far from him.
Ashei must see his ears prick up, face turning towards the sound, and she already knows, because one perfect brow raises with all the grace and authority of the captain. “Cat?”
His moving feet are his only answer.
She sighs. “Do you have to pet every one of those things that you see?”
“Yes.”
Despite her protests, she trails after him, watching as he peers around the alley, crouching low to find the fluffy creature. “I don’t understand why you like them so much. Aren’t you a wolf? Shouldn’t you prefer a dog’s company?”
“I can enjoy both!”
Ashei sniffs. “Dogs are better.”
He turns to her, affronted and maybe, slightly offended. “They are not!”
“You turn into a dog,” the words are flat, “shouldn’t you take that as a compliment?”
“I’m not a dog,” he sniffs, “I turn into a wolf, and I’m still me under the fur, so it’s different anyways. Most dogs don’t act like that.”
“You chase your tail.”
“I had to learn to blend in so people wouldn’t suspect anything!”
He doesn’t deign to meet the look that’s fixed on him, but he knows precisely what it is: brows raised, chin lowered, eyes flat and simply waiting for him to cave and admit she’s right. Uli pulls the same face on Rusl when he says something dumb, and he’s seen Telma do it too. He’d say it’s a woman thing, but he’s pretty sure he’s seen Warriors do it too, and Four as well, so saying that would be a very good way to get his ass kicked. Shad might be unable to do much damage, but Warriors can and has thrown his ass across the camp, and could probably do it again.
Instead of saying anything, he keeps his eyes open, ears flickering about to catch any further hint of where the critter in the alley is hiding he thinks it’s a cat, but it was a muffled and very brief sound to begin with, so all he knows for sure is that it’s something small with paws. Crouching low and clucking his tongue softly usually draws them out, but this time there are no such results. He’s almost about to give up and accept that the sweet little thing had maybe slipped away already when Ashei’s hand catches his shoulder suddenly, grip firm.
“What-”
“Look,” her other hand points down at the flagstones underfoot, “blood.”
Playfulness and excitement bleed away to a firmness he usually only takes on in battle, and he turns his attention to the spattering on the stone rather than the slight shuffling he’d thought before, although he doesn’t dismiss the noise either. “Fresh too.”
Dark eyes meet his own, a silent question.
Usually, he’s against using his crystal in public spaces, but it’s late eough at night, and in a seedy enough part of town that he doubts anyone’s lingering around the area to see, and if they are, they’re no good anyways. He shifts, fur and claws taking over in a now familiar twisting and aching. It doesn;t hurt anymore, no more than like stretching an unused muscle, and it only takes a moment to settle into the wolf’s body that’s as much his by this point as the hylian one he prefers.
“I’ll follow you.” Ashei tells him, hand drifting to her hip and the sword hanging there.
She’s ready for trouble, and he is too as he sets his nose to the ground and tries to follow the trail that is invisible to human eyes, but clear as day to him as it winds and twists around the small space they linger in. Whatever left the trail isn’t human, he knows that quickly. The scent trail springs off of walls and rubble in the streets in ways only the most skilled of fighters could achieve, and even then, likely not when injured. It’s fresh still though, like he said, so it’s not as though it fades out quickly, and it’s only a few minutes before he finds it’s end amidst some fallen crates around the corner.
Something from within the pile of discarded containers shuffles, the same slipping of paws against stone, and rapid little breathes that sound in time with a pitter pattering heart.
He shifts back. Wolf form is easier to use to track things, especially when his head is slightly fuzzy from alcohol, but for small animals, it’s not always the most welcome sight. A hylian with kind hands and gentle eyes is easier to accept in his experience.
“Here?” Ashei asks, brows raised.
He nods. “Not human.”
She relaxes. He doesn’t. Animal death isn’t anything she worries about; she’s a warrior, a fighter, if the animals die, then they do. People are her priority. He, on the other hand, would prefer to avoid any unnecessary death if he can help it. Maybe it’s because he knows what it’s like to be on both sides of the matter, but unless strictly necessary, he doesn’t care to be a witness to or cause of death.
Her hand slips from her sword and she stays back as he crouches low again, carefully shifting the crates and clucking softy. “Hey there, little ‘un. You okay?”
The air seems to go still for a moment, and somehow, he knows his voice has made the creature freeze, but a moment later, as he shifts the boxes, wary lest they suddenly shift and crush the little injured thing, it seems to settle again, and the softest little questioning ‘mrrrp?’ sounds from within.
“It’s okay,” he soothes, voice lowering, a soft rumble that rolls gently off his tongue and through his throat. Usually, it works on most animals, unless they have bad experiences with men specifically. Here, it seems to have the preferred result, and the softest brush of paws on stone touches his ears as he moves another crate.
As the wood lifts away, he nearly drops it again at the sight that lies before him.
“What’s wrong?” Ashei’s hand is moving to her sword again, likely as a result of the tension that’s jumped back into his shoulders, the way his ears have flicked back to press against his skull in horror.
He doesn't answer her. Instead he’s all but throwing the crate away and reaching into the space between splintered wood. The motions are maybe too sudden, he reminds himself belatedly, for handling an injured creature, and the flinch away from his touch drives the point home. His heart wrenches somewhat at the way long ears press back and little paws stutter against stone, violet eyes squeezing shut in a wince.
Two thoughts flicker in his head. How is Legend a rabbit, and what is he doing looking bleeding out in an alleyway as a rabbit?
“Shhhh,” he tries to soothe, “it’s jist me, jist me, okay?” His eyes flicker over bloody pink fur to dark eyes that stare up at him, shining with a fear he’s never seen from the other before as a fluffy little chest rises and falls with breathes that would be dangerously fast for a hylian, but even for a small rodent are concerning.
There’s a lot of blood, and he means a lot.
“Who did this to you?” He can’t help the soft sigh in teh words, the almost coo. Small animals are most definitely his weakness, and small injured animals, even if they’re actually grouchy teenage boys, are definitely worse. His brother just looks so breakable and delicate, and the crimson matting fur together and staining the stone is just making his heart clench up even more as he reaches out.
From behind, Ashei’s feet pad softly over, wary, but knowing her, she’d know he wouldn’t address anything threatening in that sort of voice. Still, she does recoil slightly, shock briefly flashing across her face as he manages to get a hold on his brother’s changed form, carefully lifting Legend up into his arms. “Is that a pink rabbit?” Her voice catches slightly, which is frankly impressive; she’s usually never so expressive.
He nods, and while last time Legend had protested loudly at being picked up and handled like an actual rabbit, this time the animal form of his brotehr nestles down into his arms with a soft shudder, head resting on the crook of his arm even as wary eyes lift to stare at the swordswoman who’s likewise fixed on him.
“What in Hylia’s-”
“He’s hurt bad.”
“It’s a rabbit in Castletown, are you shocked?” Reason seems to be slipping over to cover shock as she turns her eyes, flat once more, up to stare at him instead of the critter in his arms. “There’s dozens of dogs in this neighborhood, and while most have probably ever seen a rabbit before, they’re still hunters by nature.”
The words twist in his gut. Not because he hadn’t realized; he’s changes into a wolf, he knows what sorts of urges come with the canine form, and while he might laugh it off, there’s still a part of him that, when in that form, lunges at the chance to chase small things, to get his teeth into them and shake them. He’s more man than beast of course, so he doesn’t really give into it unless he’s starving for food and a hunt is truly needed, but even then, there’s still part of him that recoils at his own actions. He’s been the one hunted before though, chased and tracked and lunged for by those who’d rather use his pelt to warm their families then let him so much as walk past them in the street.
Still, as a wolf, he’s got teeth and claws to fight back, if he wanted to. The creature in his arms, his brother, doesn’t have that option. Legend's teeth and claws can barely draw blood, and by the time he’d gotten close enough to even try, a dog’s teeth would already be snapping around him before he could do anything.
His arms tighten around the shivering form in his arms. In the back of his head, he can almost hear Uli, back when he was a kid still new to Ordon, still new to trees and animals and anything that wasn’t sand and swords. He shouldn't scare little things, ever, she’d told him. She’d been holding a rabbit in her arms, one she’d somehow managed to catch while they were out having a picnic in the fields with him. He’d been in wonder of the glossy fur and tiny paws, but moving too fast, too harsh, and it was hiding it’s head in her arms to avoid him. ‘They’re not made to handle scary things,” she’d murmured to himself and an equally awed Colin, who was only three at the time. ‘their little hearts might explode if you scare them too much.’
It’s slightly an irrational fear, considering Legend isn’t actually a rabbit, just transformed into one, but the words still ring in his head as he cradles the broken little body in his hold.
Ashei’s stare is blank as it turns back to his little charge, lips twitching downwards briefly. “You’d be better off putting it out of its misery, Link. It can’t survive here, and you can’t take it with you.”
The very idea makes his stomach, heart skipping up into his throat as he recoils from his friend, body shifting by instinct alone to shield his little brother from her cold stare and colder words. “No!”
“Link...”
“He’s not just a rabbit!”
“How much were you drinking?”
The implication hurts a bit. He can hold his alcohol better than that, and he hadn’t had very much at all. He knows better! He knows Sky would have words for him if he came back drunk, especially after the trouble they’ve been having with keeping certain heroes sober. “No, I’m serious! He's....” the words slip outr of his head for a moment as he turns his gaze down to dark eyes that are squeezed closed in pain. “He’s...”
“I’m not a rabbit.”
He’s never seen Ashei’s eyes widen that much in his life, nor her move so quickly, sword half drawn and feet scrabbling back in shock at the fact that rabbit in his arms just spoke.
“He’s like me,” he tries, soothing one hand down blood matted fur, and realizing at the same time that he should probably do something about the damage done to the vet.
“A shifter?”
“A hero,” he corrects, attention now on finding the source of the blood. “And yes, he transforms when exposed to dark magic.”
“Can he turn back on his own?” She moves closer, apparently assured by his words, even though her eyes are still fixed on the pink rabbit that can talk, likely wondering how much more insane her night is going to get.
Twilight shakes his head. “Not without a source of light magic.”
“But you-”
“I have control over the crystal, and practice. He’s...different.”
There, he’s found it, the source of the blood. His heart twists up more, somehow, when he identifies the familiar marks left by sharp teeth. It could be his own work if it was a size or two bigger, and that particular thought has his stomach lurching yet again. There’s more bites than one too, and one paw seems to have been crushed, hanging oddly and when he jostles it there’s a bitten off cry of pain from his brother’s altered form.
“He doesn’t look good.” Ashei states grimly, ow crouched at his side and staring intently at the injuries and violet eyes that squeeze closed as rapid little breathes shake the tiny body in his hold.
She’s right. “Is there some sorta animal doc ‘round here?”
Raised brows. “We aren’t a country town, Link.”
“But even city folk have horses and shit, right?”
Ashei frowns, gaze slipping free of his own. “Horses, yes, but smaller creatures-”
“What about Agitha?”
A flat look. “She’s a child, and her interest is insects.”
“Small beings that she believes are magic,” he corrects, already shifting to his feet, cradling the fluffy form in his arms with all the care he’d use with Uli’s littlest. Legend doesn’t protest the movements either, although that might just be because he’s in too much pain to do so. “A talking pink rabbit is going to make her night.”
Following his lead, the swordswoman stands, dusting herself off with a little sigh. “It’s worth a shot, I suppose.”
The path to the self-proclaimed princess’s house is a short one, which is the main cause of his choice to see her, that and, like he said, her love of small magical beings. A rabbit and a butterfly are very, very different, but he’s counting on the quirky nature of the girl to overrule that logic like it does with most things. Sure, putting his hopes on a twelve-year-old with questionable logic isn’t maybe the best choice he’s made in his life, but considering he took the advice of a warrior killed in battle on how to beat Gannon, no one can exactly argue that his logic is sound either.
If anything, Agitha is awake, and when Ashei knocks at the door, it swings open quickly, revealing swinging pigtails and a bright smile that’s just slightly off-putting. “Ah, brave knight! You’ve returned!”
The look Ashei levels him with could probably kill a lesser man.
The bug princess swings the door open wide, smile even wider as she cocks her head on one side. “Welcome! The Princess of Bigs is happy to let you enter her kingdom!”
“Thank you,” he bows his head slightly. The best course of action here is to play along. He’s not sure why Agitha is like this, but going along with her game doesn't hurt anyone, even if it used to drive Midna crazy. Still, she’s a kid, and he’s used to kids, good with them too. “I come seeking the princess’s help.”
“A knight needing help from a princess? How queer!” She giggles into her hand, but then stops. It’s like her whole person stalls for a moment, eyes falling on the bundle of pink in his arms. “Oh my, what’s this you’ve brought here?”
He exchanges a look with Ashei, and in return, she just stares.
“This is an enchanted warrior,” he tells the girl, “he’s been cursed into this form, and injured badly. We thought, since you are princess of the creatures of the small kingdoms, that maybe you might be able to aid him, even if he isn’t one of your subjects.”
He can feel the groan building up from his companion, but she doesn’t release it, thankfully. Agitha probably wouldn’t notice if she had though, gliding forwards slowly with features pinched up into an honestly adorable pout. “Oh, the poor, poor little warrior!” She coos. “Yes, I am not princess of the mammal world, but I do not have a heart of stone. Here,” her arms are thrust out, open and waiting, “allow the Princess to help him!”
He’s more hesitant than he’d like when handing over the vet’s beaten form, but Agitha handles him with surprising care, shushing and cooing as she strokes back long ears, whisking around to head off deeper into the room. Twilight trails after, leaving Ashei at the door, as the woman does not appear to be at all interested in plunging further into the insect castle. He’s cautious with where he puts his feet and keeps his distance, also wary of his surroundings. Meanwhile, Agitha lays the vet’s rabbit form on a tabletop and, with quick kiss to the brow that would be very ill advised considering the blood there, she darts off to grab something from one of the many nooks and crannies about the room.
It’s honestly impressive, considering her age and the general doubts he has for her sanity, how efficient the insect princess handles the injuries presented to her. She shows little worry for the blood that gets on her dress and many accessories, humming softly to herself as she set bones with ease that’s almost scary and binds up wounds with care that he’d almost mistake for the skill of an actual healer. Once she’s done though, she’s scooping up Legend’s little body and settling him back in Twilight’s arms, a smile on her face as she winks up at him, one finger pressed to her cheek with a coy little smile
“Lucky for you, Mister Captain Hero taught me a thing or two on treating wounds! He’s all fixed now! Make sure to let him rest and give him lots too eat, okay? And lots of pets!” She claps her now blood stained hands, smile still shining. “He’s such a darling thing! He deserves all the pets in the world! Oh, I wish you could pet bugs, but there’s so little of them to pet, and butterflies die if you pet them...”
His smile is stilted, but he manages to bob his head in thanks all the same. “Thank you, princess.”
“Of course, brave knight,” he’s answered with a charming smile and a little curtsy, one that leaves bloody fingerprints on pink skirts. “If ever you find another such wounded warrior of the magical world, do bring them here. Princess Agitha will take care of them!”
Ashei hurries them out the door before ‘Princess Agitha’ can say much more than that. Honestly, he’s thankful. She’s not a bd kid, but she’s kind of off-putting if he’s being honest. Legend’s face buried in his arms indicates that he too finds the girl somewhat off-putting, even if he hadn’t spoken at all since they alley.
“That child is insane.” Ashei pronounces once they’re safely away again.
It’s strained, but he finds himself laughing slightly, hand dragging over long ears as he walks and resisting, strongly, the urge to rub his face into long fur. “Yeah, prob’bly.”
A side glance is fixed on him, feet not stopping on the well known path back past the bar. “Will you be going back to your inn now?”
He nods, glancing down to find Legend is staring up at him as well, gaze hazy from either pain or exhaustion, he’s not sure. “Yeah. It’s pretty late, an’ i still need to get him changed back before the others realize he’s missin’.” And then, as an after thought, he adds, “I know the way back.”
“You had a bit to drink.”
“Ashei,” he laughs, strained, “no one’s gonna try anything on swordsman wearing wolf’s pelt, not if they have an ounce of sense! ‘Sides, it’s not far off.”
Her stare is heavy.
“I’m fine. If anythin’ as the man here, I ought to be offerin’ to walk you home!”
Weight is nothing in comparison to the sharpness in those eyes. “Watch it, Ordon.”
“Yes, miss.”
She shakes her head, dark hair somehow not so much as swishing with the motion. “Have a good night.” And then she’s heading off, not even bothering to wait around for his echo of her farewell and instead disappearing around a corner up ahead, pace faster than his own as he tries to keep steady and not jostle the brother in his hold. With her gone though, it’s just Legend and himself, violet eyes truned up to stare blearily up at him.
“We are gonn talk about this later,” he warns, even as he sets off towards the inn again.
Legend shifts, ears flicking slightly in answer, but he doesn’t talk. If anything, the rabbit in his arms curls in tighter, defensive.
“I’m not mad,” he’s quick to assure, foddling long ears gently, “but you scared me there, vet.”
Still no answer. He resigns himself to silence as his feet carry the two of them down the mostly quiet streets of Castletown and back to the inn, one hand still running through silky fur, careful not to catch on where it’s still matted with blood.
“Here’s hoping Sky doesn’t have our heads for wakin’ him.” He sighs as they come to the door, and he has to stop his petting of pink fur to push it open. “Hopefully the rest are also asleep, cuz I ain’t got an answer for any of this.”
The rabbit in his arms snorts, but th head that’s been lolling into the crook of his arm raises to butt against him gently. It startles him.
So many years ago, Uli said that was how rabbits indicate affection, or ask for more pets. Good grief, how out of it is Legend: Mister-Don't-Touch-Me-I-Will-Bite-You? There’s no way to know though, but he doesn't look a gift bunny in the mouth, and he’s only too happy to continue his petting as he takes the stairs up to their room, nodding briefly to the wide eyed inn-keeper as he goes.
Tomorrow, he will have to ask Legend what happened. Tomorrow, he will have to adopt being a good, responsile big brotehr who gets to the bottom of things, but for tonight, he’s simply content to try and turn his brother back to a hylian, get a potion down his throat, and head to bed, leaving the adult stuff to future Twilight. That’s easy enough too. Sky has questions, but is too tired to slur through them, and while feeding the vet a potion is hard with the other slumping against him so heavily, but they manage. They manage and then he’s slumping himself back into the bed left open for him. He sort of expects Legend to slip away after, but belatedly, he realizes that’s just impossible. Maybe it was the petting, since he’s been there and he gets how much it turns his muscles into jelly, but pink hair hits his chest the moment his back has settled into the mattress, and the hand that catches in the front of his tunic further cements that Legend isn’t going anywhere.
Ah well, if Legend’s going to take up space in his bed, he reserves the right to keep running his hands through fluffy pink. If Legend doesn’t tell him to stop, he won’t. The vet doesn’t eitehr, just hums softly, curling in on himself and nestling into his side with a soft sigh that would almost, almost fool him into thinking his brother was still in his beast form.
Tomorrow will be interesting. Explaining the blood on their clothes, where they’d been, and all else won’t be fun. But for tonight they can have a little more peace. The scare is over, and Twilight’s free for just a little bit more. And hey, the brief panic was worth it, especially considering he’s getting cuddles out of the deal!

So the LU gundam AU continues and
Wind and Twilight the only non clone children of the Chain! Bow I've shared some details from the LU Whumpever server, so I shall make a separate post for those details, BTW I just realized I forgot to mention Four on the server.
But, back to Wind and Twilight. Wind is a regular person (for now) but he's a space pirate. At first I was going for something like Mobile Suit Crossbone Gundam, but my ass is so unfamiliar with it, so I'm leaning more into the Gundam Astray story. So for Time's finally fight with the government, before he goes into the Fierce Deity equivalent of a Gundam (maybe I'll draw it later) to fight Skull kid/Majora (spoilers: Skull kid dies). With Legend's creation, which only happen because they found the arm of Time's original Gundam. So for Wind, he found the rest of the mobile suit. And because of certain details, aka the Time travel ability of the Ocarina of Time, the time ability goes to Wind to be the Phantom Sword (Lol I might call Wind's Gundam the Phantom Gundam). But for Wind's windwaker, that's where Wild comes in. Now it was very easy for me to say Wild and his team/Champions were abandoned to die but bot the state of the mobile suits. Now the Champions are dead, because it was a suicide mission. And for Wind's replacement arm for the Phantom Gundam, is Revali's mobile suites arm because fuck yeah Gundam Astray Gold frame with the Blitz arm. And with Wind basically not repainting the suit for some time that's how the Governemnt knew Time was alive and just deserted the army, so Time is considered a traitor to the government.
Which leads me to Twilight. Twilight is Time and Malon's son. (uh I forgot the two people that are Twilight's adopted parents in some people's fics so they're babysitters/godparents for Twilight because I feel bad for leaving them out) The Fierce Deity mobile suit was repurposed for Twilight's mobile suit, much to Time's argument against mobile suits because killing Skull kid and reading his older brother figure file of him dying in mobile suits still haunts him. (Hehehe Warriors isn't actually dead but hehhehhehe that makes the reunion more angsty along with the HADES system, ill probably rename it to SPIRIT or FOCUS if i figure out a way to make the system based off the HADES with those letters.) Twilight is a rebellious kid. Gotta keep the Gundam tradition alive by having children in Mobile suits fighting in a war they have no idea about. Also I'm going to have more than just Witch from Mercury reference be stuck to Time, I'm going to let baby Twilight sneak out and bond with the Gundam. And have Twilight get his markings from the suit too. But I'm going to let the suit transform into a wolf so I can have wolfie without any potential animal deaths in the future in case I want more angst. So because Time is a deserter, Twilight had to move around a lot and staying in Ordon for the longest time was his norm until, he meets Midna. A mobile suit designer, (well I can make her like the daughter of a mobile suit company which I guess can consider her a princess in some way) Midna helps with the Wolf Gundam (because it's no longer the Fierce Deity) and when she has to leave, their location is pretty much compromised. Which eventually leads to Twilight and Time going to space and meeting the rest of the chain, aka Twilight's uncles and Wind.
BTW designs are not final!

👾 anon here
Sage kinda would have to be a house husband since he is from hyrule and not from here making him not have any documents of his birth, pretty much making it harder for him to get a job or anything that has to do with people needing to know of his birth and I doubt people would believe that he came from a video game especially knowing how his ears look more human than hylian and half of his arm is missing and people would question that and look at reader thinking their suspicious and they have done something terrible to sage like kidnapping and sage wouldn't want that. Sage would probably have an interest of true crime shows because he would be able to pick the bad and good habits that killers did to or get caught and find the things that would kill a person more efficiently. Because of him now only having one arm he is gunna need help for some tasks like the ones where you need both arms altho he wants to prove that he is perfect to be a house husband for reader which the hole needing help to open a jar might break that to him but that is a plus cause that means reader would have to be with him as it can be used to bond and to get their attention to him instead of the chain. Being at reader's world now would Legend's hair be turn more normal he would probably have only few streaks of pink hair and twilight marks look faded like their old tattoos and much for the favor of sage those two would not turn into their animal forms as much and I think hyrule would feel much weaker as he is a fairy. Hyrule would probably try to learn modern medicine from shows and twilight would probably tag along sage when he is farming or going to the farmers market. Maybe one of them becomes a influencer to help reader with the bills since now there isn't just two people living but more than twelve if you count the others and reader.
@neverchecking, @lovanmari MORE HOUSE HUSBAND SAGE!!!
AKSMSDKCVM BECAUSE WARS AS AN INFLUENCER 💀 It'd have to be him of any links, He's already got the looks. wild could be his camera man since he'd be hopeless with tech. And you're so right, reader would be DONE with how they're having to provide for everyone now. If any of the links offered to help, they'd be readers new favourite instantly - much to everyone else's jealousy.
as for some of the other points 👾, Sage very much volunteered but at the same time reader would be in so much trouble if he was found without any ID, there's a chance he'd try to forge some just to make it easier on them so they don't have to be as stressed about him going out or getting arrested themselves there isn't a single way he'd let that happen after all. But Wind would be the real issue - adults can somewhat slide, excuses for loosing things sure. but a kid? Reader is fucked if that ever got picked up on, and school is a whole different problem to deal with.
As for legend and the others, his hair would probably stay the same - sure the magic has gone, but it's not like hair dye doesn't exist here. The same could go for Twi's markings since they could be written off as a tattoo permanent without the magic so you're right about how they'd fade over time. It's less like the looks are the issue, it's just the magic isn't there anymore and anything - like their ears, Hyrule's fairy side and sage's arm have no way to fit into the real world so they get lost over time. ALSO POOR HYRULE, He's going to be bed sick for at least a week while his body adjusts. DO YOU THINK SAGE IS BAD WITH JUST AN ARM MISSING?? RULIE CAN'T MOVE AND HE'S NOT PLAYING IT UP AS MUCH AS HE COULD. While I do like the idea of Sage losing his arm within the real world as well, I feel like it wouldn't be completely lost. Reader would be constantly reassuring him that he's good enough and perfect as he is, only encouraging him to do it even more ✨✨. But if it was he would play it up for so many sympathy points, begging reader to open jars, to have them dote on him when he gets phantom pains and suspiciously only having it play up when the others want reader attention.

DAILY BRAINROT
Disclaimer: If nothing I say makes sense, it's probably because I'm so stressed I almost set the microwave on fire.
I'm glad to see that the Warriors knits headcanon is alive and well. In fact, it is thriving. This brings me immense joy because I've been losing my mind over it for the past several months, and it looks like it's here to stay. :) The best part is when someone writes a scene where Legend is embroidering/sewing and Warriors is knitting, and they're BONDING OVER THEIR CRAFTS.
In other news, I am seriously considering making glowing Warriors' power and having it be kind of like those glow-in-the-dark stickers people put on the ceilings of their kids' bedrooms. Hear me out. He can be powered by the sun, like a solar panel, and store the extra energy to do Cool Superhero Stuff with. The unfortunate side effect being that he tends to burn off excess energy by glowing in the dark. This means he has been explicitly banned from working night shifts because his cover would be blown.
It also means that he's the perfect nightlight for kids with nightmares.
I'm really looking forward to writing up more of the first meeting stories now that I've gotten the one about Legend & Wild posted, but since I'm making myself wait until I get the next chapter of Hyrule's fic up I'm just going to ramble at you about it instead.
I haven't decided which one to do next, but I have thought about the one for the trio (I also need a better name to refer to them). Anyway, I'm thinking that Twilight and Warriors actually grew up knowing each other, but sort of lost touch for a little while. Twilight was busy with the Twili stuff and getting used to his new abilities, while Warriors was in the middle of the mess with Cia. Sometime after that, they get back in touch, and they've both decided that they want to move out. Twilight wants to leave Ordon because he feels uncomfortable there now, and Warriors wants to move to a different district in Castletown to avoid anything related to Cia. Right around the same time, Sky is looking for roommates because he doesn't want to go to college in Skyloft or something. Ghirahim probably has something to do with it because I kind of doubt that he'd be very chill about Sky killing his master... Regardless, they get introduced to each other and the rest is history.
Slightly related to that, Sky is going to be an interesting combination of ideas here and is quickly becoming a favorite of mine for this project. He's kind of similar to Time because he's an incredibly powerful individual that dropped off the radar. He showed up, kicked villain butt, and then vanished (curtesy of Sun). I'm poking him because I have a lot of ideas about that. Maybe he doesn't like thinking about it? Maybe he doesn't remember what he did? Maybe it wasn't actually him and he was just possessed or something? Could he maybe be the source material for the experiment that made Wild? Is he just like this or is it trauma or his power(s) or did someone else do this to him?
Gnawing on all these questions as if I don't have things due tonight.
IM SO SORRY DUDE. they call me the kitchen appliance killer, i think the only thing safe from me is the stove and the blender- but i’m also afraid of fire so like, i don’t go near the stove anyway lmao 🕺 but fr I really hope you feel less stressed :(
