Sims 2 Expansion Packs Ranked (with explanations)

Ahh... The Sims 2! One of my favorite games of all time. On January 31, 2025, it was rereleased. Since then, I've been playing it tons! I've racked up a total of 35 hours so far. With this new look into the expansion packs, I've been able to really form a good grip on what each one contains. So without further ado, this is my ranking of the 8 expansion packs released for The Sims 2.

8

Open for Business

Open for Business is the third expansion for The Sims 2. It is a great expansion pack... Don't get me wrong. You can run your own stores, car dealerships, salons... Nearly anything you could think of is possible with this pack, so long as it's a kind of business. Additionally, it has talent badges, Servos, and new crafting stations to make new objects. So what are the drawbacks? For one, it doesn't come with a main neighborhood. This isn't a big deal seeing as it comes with a sub-hood, Bluewater Village. But Bluewater Village doesn't stand out. It really blends into the other worlds. The new objects to craft are, while cool, not something I use often. You really have to go out of your way to use this one and even when you do, your Sim has to devote tons of time into it. I like family gameplay, so unfortunately, this one just isn't for me.

Pets

The Sims 2 Pets is the fourth expansion. In all honesty, this one would be last if it weren't for my love of family gameplay. While customizing the pets is cool and they are very cute, there is very little to the pets. It comes with dogs, cats, hamsters, and birds. They're all super cute, but dogs and cats are the main focus. Dogs and cats can have pet careers and can also breed. This is cool and all, but sometimes they feel like a pain more than anything. Werewolves also came with this pack, but I'm not one for the occults. The most unfortunate part of this pack is that it's the only pack to not come with a neighborhood OR sub-hood! This pack could have simply had a cute world like in The Sims 3 or 4 (or even Whiskerton from the Sims 2 Pets on console if you're a true Sims fan). You can make a world theoretically for this pack, but it would've been nice to have a pre-made world. Last, strays can cause a lot of havoc. This is sometimes fun, but it's also a MASSIVE pain, especially if your Sim can't afford a fence. The lack of world and gameplay, and annoying or not for me gameplay where the gameplay isn't lacking, make it to where I can't rank this pack anywhere ABOVE 7th. :(

Apartment Life

Oh... how it pains me to put this here. Apartment Life is the 8th and final expansion for The Sims 2. For me, this one is flawless. It's not really about what's bad about it, it's more so that others just have more good to them. Apartment Life introduces reputation, roommates, multi-family living (duplexes, trailers, apartments, etc.), different sub-groups or cliques, witches, and the world of Belladonna Cove! Belladonna Cove is the biggest and perhaps the best world for The Sims 2, with its secret lot and all! It's based off of NYC, more specifically Manhattan. I LOVE the many features Apartment Life adds. I love to have my Sims live in apartments. The reputation system is certainly a cool addition, but I don't think about it too much. It's cool, but it doesn't impact gameplay enough for me to really rave about it too much. The roommates are super interesting because they have unique personalities, jobs, and behaviors. Witches are fine, but again, not one for occults. The sub-groups and income areas make this pack unique in the sense that each area of the neighborhood has a distinct vibe that extends past just architecture. Overall, I LOVE this pack. But some other packs just pack a bit more oomph... for me at least.

University

The first expansion for The Sims 2 was university. This pack is one of the most unique of the packs. It allows young sims to turn into young adults, a new life stage, and move into a university! There are three pre-made colleges: Sim State University, Academie le Tour, and La Fiesta Tech. Sim State University is your average state school. I imagine it being near Pleasantview and probably the cheapest of the three. Second is Academie le Tour. I imagine this to maybe be a private school near Veronaville. Finally, there's La Fiesta Tech which is a school that's most likely near Strangetown, maybe similar to other science-y schools in the southwest like UCSD? Either way, this pack brings an influence system, Greek living, secret societies, new party types, new objects like MP3 players, dorms, coffee shops, and much, much more. It even has 4 college exclusive careers! All of the features allow your Sim to have a wild adventure where they explore 1 of 11 degrees ranging from drama to psychology. The Greek living is a super unique system that allows all sorts of new interactions and parties. Overall, this is a great pack to kick off a great line of expansion packs! I love this pack!

Nightlife

Nightlife, the second expansion, offers well... nightlife! Your Sims can now travel or live in the downtown sub-hood that has bars, bowling alleys, restaurants, lounges, etc. This pack also brings in cars, a feature that many Sims 4 players would scratch their head at! The new dating system, which contains fury, turn-ons, chemistry, and a new date scenario, is a great addition! Your sim can scope the room for people they have chemistry with! Less significantly, to me at least, are vampires and the pleasure aspiration. These two really drag this pack down. Again, NOT a fan of occults. But even more strange is that I REALLY, REALLY hate the pleasure aspiration. It's great if you want your Sim to party, blow bubbles, and play on the couch until they have to use a cane, but for me, it's not it. Most aspiration wants only give you 500 aspiration points, so getting your sim to have a gold mood, let alone a platinum mood, is absolutely a task. The pleasure aspiration is only fun if you plan on living in downtown for the rest of that sim's life. That just... isn't what I play this game for, so it's NOT for me. Overall, the cars, romance system, new sub-hood, and new venues overshadow the bad of this pack and create a very fun experience that can actually integrate into family gameplay (even though that may be kind of shocking).

Bon Voyage

Okay, I'll be completely honest. This one, the 6th expansion pack for The Sims 2, is a WEIRD one. But it has great opportunity for family gameplay! It allows your sims to go to three destinations (more if you feel like making a custom world): Takemizu Village, Three Lakes, and Twikii Island. Takemizu Village is an Asian-inspired vacation world with lots of forests, hot springs, and shrines. Three Lakes is a mountain vacation world that allows you to go camping or stay in a sort of ski-resort, minus the skiing (Seasons sold separately... so, no snow). Last is Twikii Island, which has lots of resorts and bungalows with lots of pretty beaches and ancient ruins. It's a bit of an odd one, but the ability to try new foods, learn new greetings, learn traditions from locals, explore new places, and more all while getting mementos is awesome! It also gives you a camera to take photos of all of your adventures that can then be turned into a photo book! If that wasn't all great enough, you can use the vacation as a way to get benefits if the vacation goes well! These range from better moods to your Sim doing better at work! It's such a fun and unique pack (one that did it much better than any preceding or succeeding vacation packs). I just love Bon Voyage!

Free Time

This pack was the 7th expansion pack for The Sims 2. It is almost certainly the weirdest one, but it's one of my favorites! For starters, it comes with a genie, which I don't love, but it's cool I guess. It also comes with a new world -- Desiderata Valley. This new world is great for exploring new hobbies, which is what this pack is all about! Your sims now have enthusiasms for different hobbies. Each Sim has one particular hobby that they enjoy or are good at. There are 10 hobbies, which each have super good cross-pack integration. Each new hobby has 10 levels of enthusiasm for it. With each new level, you get a new interaction. Each hobby can also be used to make money. There are also new items to practice hobbies! There's a soccer net, basketball hoop, pottery wheel, ballet barre, run-down car, and so much more! You also have talent badges for certain hobbies which makes this pack extra interesting! If your Sim gets good enough at their hobby, they may get invited to a secret hobby lot! These allow your sim to hang out and do activities with other sims like them! You also have a lifetime aspiration meter. Each time you get to a new section for the first time, you get a benefit point. This can then be used for upgrades for your sim, such as slowing down need decay or giving them more vacation time! All of this allows them to pursue their hobbies more! I LOVE Free Time!!

Seasons!!!

This was the 5th expansion for the game, and it had the biggest impact on your game! The Sims 2 Seasons introduces fishing and gardening, which both have talent badges! Gardening can be used for fresh produce which make meals more fulfilling and allow you to make juice which can cure illness. You also have four seasons that can be mixed and matched with each neighborhood. Maybe in Strangetown it's summer for half the year and spring and fall for the other half! It's up to you! These four seasons each come with different additions. Spring has a lot of rain and is a great time to start planting! Romance blooms during this time of year! In the summer, friendships do very well! There are plenty of thunderstorms during this time of year. This even adds Marco Polo in the swimming pool! Fall is a great time of year for skills and careers (you get more chance cards from careers, fun fact). The leaves start to fall and you should harvest plants! During winter, it snows, obviously. Your sims have better familial relationships at this time. Snow days can be given to children if it snows a lot. One thing I love about the snow is that it can go past your door, unlike in Sims 4 and 3. Your sim can also get illness more easily! (Good thing you have fruit juice from earlier). It also comes with Riverblossom Hills, which is a super fun world where it's winter half the time. This really just tops it off, but what is even better! The best occult of all... PLANT SIMS! I don't love occults, but I do think Plant Sims are super cool! I don't know what it is about them, but I just prefer them to any other occult! And with that, The Sims 2: Seasons is my favorite expansion pack!

So I’ve had some Thoughts about Marvel Rivals

Well, this is a bit of a change-up from what I normally post. But it's still kind of about comics, I guess. Marvel really isn't my area of expertise. I like most people enjoy Spider-Man, but I also like Hawkeye and I actually think North's The Unbeatable Squirrel Girl is really good and so funny. That "choose your own adventure" issue lives in my head.

Anyway, I started playing this week, and I've already played for about 40 hours at the time of writing. And I feel I might as well toss in my two cents, especially since I am a support player to my core. For example, I was Mercy Main when I played Overwatch, and now I'm maining Clock and Dagger and have a decent enough win rate. And while I know Marvel Rivals and a large portion of its fans want a competitive scene, I don't think that should be its focus. Marvel Rivals has a lot of people coming in either from the movies, the comics, or gamers particularly people who play hero shooters. So honestly you have a large mixed bag of people and I don't see that many people really wanting the competitiveness, that balancing, and ultimately the limiting that would come with that. It doesn't help that they also aren't going to want people screaming about meta into their ears. I have seen so many different tier lists at this point and generally, people have yet to agree on "who's broke" and who's not yet. Yeah, it's still early days but that variety is a great bonus in Marvel Rival's favor. It means you can still play your favorite and not get screamed at.

Now you be like "But Kai! Don't you hate it When 5 people autolock DPS?" and my answer actually is "No" because I play in a casual experience. Yes, I would like to win, but I rather just have a fun game and you can still have a fun game if you lose. If Marvel Rivals takes a more competitive focus, a lot of that casual fun I have would be lost. People will take even quick play and Bots seriously. Like I care more about my team having fun and being able to play who they want. I Like support because I can support because it's arguably one of the most useful classes but I have fun being able to heal and save people even if we don't win. Since I'm a DC person, I don't have the investment some comic people and movie people will have so if I'm not that attached to the character it's easy for me to step back and just pick and pick a heal so the person who really fucking love Spider-man can play him, even if they don't know how to.

What definitely helps is that in Marvel Rivals I am not totally team-dependent as a support and I can put down or escape people coming into flank or poke. I have survived a diving Captain America and Thor before too, that was stressful but I managed. I'm not saying there shouldn't be a competitive space, but people undervalue the causal space. For example, causal gaming has been Nintendo brand and how many Sim expansion packs are there? And AstroBot just won Game of the Year, so there is a lot of value in making some that are accessible to people who are here to get competitive.

Now a person may counter might ask me "But doesn't being Psylock being OP bug you? Isn't Jeff the Spwan of Satan?" And again I'm gonna say no. Psylock is good if someone is really good with her kit and I'm not running into that a ton in quick play, and Jeff? You know you can dodge right? When you hear his line look at the the floor and don't group up. Also, I don't know about you but he can't ult that often. Like every in Rivals feels very manageable to me at a casual player level and when you don't take it all so seriously it all just rolls off my back.

So yeah. I don't want a role queue because it would limit what people can play. And even when I want to play DPS I just do. I've been in only one that came without a support… and that was like four tanks and someone eventually did swap to a healer. Heck, I've had several 3 support games.

My ultimate hope with Marvel Rivals is that it keeps up its current play style. That rewards using the Teams and different comps. I am ultimately also hoping that it brings more people into reading the source comics. Yeah, I can't escape talking about that, because I do want people to read Fraction's Hawkeye or North's Unbeatable Squirrel Girl. And maybe come over and read new Watter's Nightwing and Brombal's Batgirl. There are so many good comics out there and while I enjoy Marvel Rivals for what it is right now I like it even more as a gateway into getting people into the great art form of comics.

2. Alpha CC or Maxis Match? 4t2 maxis match conversions, because it's gross and ugly :p No, but for real, I like all cc. People put a lot of time and love into what they create/convert/retexture/recolor. I think that should be recognized.

5. Favorite mod? I had to go into my main save for this one haha. I'd say...all the anti-corruption mods. And to piggy back off of brandinotbroke, ACR! The rest I could probably live without if I could ever sort my folder. Oh, also, one mod I'd really like to give a try is Story Progression by LazyDuchess.

6. First expansion/game/stuff pack you got? First purchased was Christmas 2005. My parents gifted me Sims 2 and then my birthday a month later I got University, I believe. I should show you all the video of me opening it and running off to play haha. First played was, I wanna say Urbz! and Bustin' Out. We would rent those from the video store.

7. Do you pronounce “live mode” like aLIVE or LIVing? Alive. I recently found out my IRL BFF pronounces it as Living. I've known her almost 20 years and feel like I don't know her anymore 😅

8. Who’s your favorite sim that you’ve made? Rhiannon, one of my model sims, but all 4 of my models are my favorite. I really should put Rhiannon as a townie in my uberhood. She deserves a life outside of posing.

9. Have you made a simself? Yes, like 18 years ago lol. Ended up corrupting the hood trying to move me with my 10 same face kids to a new neighborhood. I've really enjoyed the premade sims ever since.

Get To Know You - Sims Style

What’s your favorite Sims death?

I haven’t had any sims die recently, but I do have one wild story from several years ago.

When my 2nd Gen heir Maya and her sister went off to university, they stayed in the sorority house. The general university shenanigans were taking place (sims not cleaning up after themselves, piles of laundry everywhere, etc.), but I didn’t realize some of their roommates weren’t eating... until it was too late 😬

THREE (3) girls in the dorm died in one night! Two of starvation and the third from thirst (idk how she became a vampire). Since they all died so close together, the Grim Reaper just hung around the dorm until he reaped all of them. I had Maya collect their tombstones and take them back with her to Lucky Palms when the semester ended. Now they’re all resting in the mausoleum, hopefully in peace lol.

Alpha CC or Maxis Match?

Maxis-match with some alpha pieces here and there. Though I feel like the line between what’s considered maxis-match and what’s considered alpha in TS3 is way more blurred that in TS4.

Do you cheat your sims weight?

Rarely. Some of EA’s premades are just so skinny sometimes!

Do you move objects?

All. The. Time. I can’t remember a time where I’ve played or built without it on. It makes it so much easier to squeeze sitting chairs or plants or floor lamps into tight corners and make nice collages of different wall art that overlap each other a little.

Favorite Mod?

Gosh there are so many mods that I absolutely love, and lately the TS3 modding scene has been putting out banger after banger, but my most recent favorite mod is @thesweetsimmer111′s More Toddler Interactions! I love being able to feed toddlers outside of the highchair and actually give them baths. And Savanita’s animations are always so cute!

I did a few years ago, but I never got around to playing her. I wonder if I still have my simself’s household somewhere...

I haven’t used an EA preset hair in 10,000 years, but I guess the black one isn’t too terrible.

I feel like Young Adult is a boring answer, so I’ll say Teens lol.

Mostly gameplay (and testing mods/cc :p). When I build, it’s usually remodeling the interior of an already existing build.

Yes!! I started with TS4 to TS3 conversions, but I’m also a modder now 😁

The Sims 3 community on Tumblr is pretty small, and I feel like we all know, follow, or are in a Discord server with each other (shoutout to the TS3 Creator’s Cave members!!). So, in a way, we’re all in the same squad ✌

Unfortunately, no.

How has your “Sims style” changed throughout your years of playing?

I used to exclusively play with families and progress through a few generations, but recently, I’ve been playing with more single sims to experience parts of the game I hadn’t really touched on before. I’ve also gotten a lot better at avoiding “same face” syndrome when I give existing sims a makeover or make them from scratch. Getting more comfortable with custom sliders has definitely helped with that too.

What expansion/game pack is your favorite?

The Sims 3: Seasons! I love watching the seasons change, the holidays, the festivals, and the feeling of progression. I also love snow and the winter season in real life, especially when I was younger, so seeing my sims going about their day in a snow covered world is very nostalgic for me.

in my head it's like "aLIVE" but from a linguistic perspective I gotta concede that the "LIVing" pronunciation makes more sense because it's consistent with the other modes (buy/build) which are verbs not adjectives

I hate all my loser sims I guess I have a sweet spot for a child sim I made back when I was a child. She lived in a trailer, had big droopy eyes like Brittany Spears, and was named Miami.

24. How do you edit your pictures? I use reshade and crop the screenies. for notifications I crop them, open the image I want to put the notification on in krita, and then apply a layer filter with stroke (dodge light, and 25% opacity).

I used to!! back when i was in middle school I played a lot of black ops 2 with my two best friends, and then when i got into high school i moved more into story games like telltale's the walking dead, beyond two souls, life is strange, undertale, etc. i was also really into skyrim for a while and i still get the urge to go back and play it sometimes. also I've been a sims player since 2010 when I got the sims 3 for the first time. I loved the sims franchise so much and had all the sims 3 expansion packs, and later got a ton of sims 4 packs until I eventually got too busy to keep up with it all. I haven't played a proper video game in years tho mostly bc my pc doesn't work with wifi anymore and my current laptop can't support any video games

honestly, the classic, putting a sim in a pool and then taking out the ladder. theres no common sense to the action it's just genuinely so funny.

technically im maxis mix, but i tend to lean very hard to maxis match clothing.

3.) Do you cheat when your sims gain weight?

no not really. if i want them to loose weight i'll have them work out

if you dont use moveobjects, i think legally we can consider you clinically insane.

this is so hard... ummmmm, probably like better build buy. i spend a good amount of time in build mode and use debug/live edit objects a ton when i build, so it's pretty useful.

i think it was get to work, i even bought it in a physical case thingy and i still have it lying around somewhere. (as well as seasons.)

What's your favourite Sims death?

In the Sims 1 it would have to be death by fire, the screams were very messed up. What does that even day about me?

In the Sims 2, death by locusts. I just think it's very creative really, and karma for not cleaning up lol.

In the Sims 3 it would have to be either death by meteor or being crushed by a vending machine. They are jsut so abrubt and random, not to mention if a school gets hit by one, the children can't escape! Thta's messed up.

I haven't played the sims 4 in ages so uh, i dunno...

Alpha CC or Maxis Match?

In the sims 2, Maxis Match, sort of, all my defaults are clay hairs now. They used to not be, but I will never use Alpha cc.

The sims 3 is a bit tricky because I feel like there isn't really maxis match or alpha. I guess maxis match since I don't really like the really shiny alpha hair.

When I used to play sims 4 it was primarily maxis match.

Do you cheat your sims weight?

Nope, I don't even have to, these people lose and gain weight quicker than I can even notice it, it's weird.

When I was playing with the Bunch family in the sims 3, Jack had to get athletic points for his job and he immediately lost tons of weight even though it had only been a day!

Do you use move objects?

Yup, well, mostly in the sims 2, it hasn't really come up often in the sims 3...

Favourite Mod?

In the Sims 2, it has to be 50 New Lifetime Wants and Lifetime Want Chooser by Lamare, it's changed my life honestly. I would also reccommend Semester Changes by Cyjon which makes University 8 days long, which is a lifesaver.

For the Sims 3, I have a few. There is this one here that stops snow day from happening at all, but it is in a different language. There is also Faster Gardening by berryblonde. I also use the Random Genetics Mod by NeuroBlazer that has been deleted by the links are saved in this post here

First Expansion/Game Pack/Stuff Pack?

For Sims 1, I got the ultimate collection, so they all were the first one...

Um, I don't remember for the sims 2, I really don't, I used to play it when I was really young and my mum just bought them whenever she found them.

I do remember that I bought every expansion pack as it came out for the sims 3, the exception being world adventures for some reason. I think there was some kind of problem with that pack? Well, it was Ambitions for me, I love that pack!

For the sims 4, I think it was either Dine Out or Get to Work.

Lain, I feel like I put a lot of effort into making here since I was going to show her off to the internet. I also feel very attached to her since I've given her so much backstory and personality, which I haven't really done for other sims in the past. Not including Jane...

Only once, back in the sims 2. I made me and my family and played for a bit with them. Haven't done that since, by maybe I will try and do that some day.

Well...I like the red hair swatch in the sims 2 I guess? And the sims 3 plantinum blonde is fun. Don't know about sims 4 though....

Although I replaced them all with clay hair, I do still feel a lot of fondness for the sims 2 hairs. I think my favourite is the one with the beanie and long straight hair.

Sims 3 hair...is not good. Although, the hairs that came in later expansions were better. I like the surfer hair for guys that came in Island Paradise.

I like none of the sims 4 ea hairs. I feel like the community does a better job at making clay hair than the sims team, sorry.

Favorite life stage?

I'm also going to be boring and say YA. It's were the fun starts. Teens are also fun in sims 2 and and 3.

Gameplay. I've gotten more into building lately, but I do get kinda impatient with it.

In the past, I just jumped into the game and messed around for a bit then started a new game. It's only now that i've been trying out challenges and legacies. It's made me want to play the games a lot more.

The fact that I had to go and check. It's persona34a. I've had it for a while, it's in reference to the persona games when Persona 4: The Animation came out. How do you edit your pictures?

I use Gimp to edit my pictures, which was a rather steep learning curve when I first started. I'm still a little rusty on it but It's not like I need to do much them other than cut out the bits of UI.

What expansion/ gamepack is your favorite?

For sims 1: Vacation, I had a lot of fun jsut sending them on vacation and quitting when their needs dropped too low, lol.

For sims 2: Apartment Life. What can I say, I love apartments and Belladonna Cove

For sims 3: Now that's a tricky one, but I am going to say Generations just because it so much depth to family gemplay and finally gives kids and teens something to do.

24. How do you edit your pictures? I mostly resize, crop, adjust the exposure and contrast as I see fit, then sharpen the image. I do have a new method for gameplay pics that I learned a few days ago that looks really clean and smooth that I'm excited about too!!! My whole process is pretty low effort as I'm not into that part of the process at all.

25. What expansion/game/stuff pack is your favorite so far? Strangerville (obviously) and Get Together, the underrated queen!!! The townies are so good and the world is amazing. But really I like any packs that add gameplay (especially family/legacy-centered gameplay).

26. What expansion/game/stuff pack do you want next? Not a whole pack dedicated to horses that's for sure lmao 😅. I really want another city world, or at least a world that has apartments. More hobbies and skills would be phenomenal, like a whole skill game pack or EP dedicated to hobbies and personal passions (reminiscent of TS2 Freetime). More diversity of personality and skills in the game, more careers (not all playable ones like GTW, but I wouldn't object to a few). A skills/hobby pack would be a great pack to include bands and additional instruments. I would like more non-American-based worlds as well.

Death by running with scissors!

Maxis mix I think? For bodyshop stuff, I like meshes with medium polys and detailed textures, but not too realistic. For most buy/build mode stuff I just use different textures (meshes are nice!).

3. Do you cheat when your sims gain weight?

No! I have actually have a mod that makes it so they're not so easily fit.

Okay, I've watched a video showing all the ways sims can die in TS2, and I think my favourite is the one that can happen while using the wishing well.

2. Alpha CC or Maxis Match?

For my own game, maxis match. To each their own though, I like seeing everyone's games regardless of aesthetic.

3. Do you cheat when your sims gain weight?

What??? No. Is that a thing? Wait - I have cheated a test sim's weight when I made clothes to make sure that the fit and fat states work? It was more effort than just creating test models in a permanent testhood with different body states so I only did it once or twice.

4. Do you use move objects?

Yes, it's a must.

5. Favorite mod?

Community time, probably. Honorable mentions to Romantic Standards and Shiftable Everything.

...I don't remember. My family got TS1 & TS2 pretty much as they came out.

Can I just say the whole of Deep Lorewood? I have such fondness for the whole hood, even though it's unfinished and unplayed. *heavy sigh* This blog doesn't even have Deep Lorewood pictures on it.

Yep. Many years ago. Looked nothing like me.

Creative, Cat Lover, Squeamish from TS4. Neurotic, Coward, Hopeless Romantic, Friendly, Easily Impressed from TS3. Shy/Nice/Serious/Neat/Active in TS2.

11. Which is your favorite EA hair color?

I kind of like them all?

12. Favorite EA hair?

Updoo and GelledRock.

13. Favorite life stage?

Teenager or adult, probably, since it opens up a lot of possibilities.

14. Are you a builder or are you in it for the gameplay?

It's like 70% gameplay, 30% build. I can get really into building sometimes, but it's not a regular thing.

15. Are you a CC creator?

I have created CC before. I have not created CC in quite a while though, and have no plans to in the near future.

16. Do you have any simblr friends/a sim squad?

There are simblrs that I consider myself friendly with, but no "friends" as such.

Of those options, it's 2, clearly, but the handheld games were also a ton of fun.

Nope.

20. How has your “sim style” changed throughout your years of playing?

When I first started using CC, I used semi-realistic stuff and played in a custom hood. Now, I have veered quite hard into maxis match and play a LEPacy rooted in Strangetown.

I don't think I have one.

22. Who’s your favorite CC creator?

I like so many though! Which is ironic since I now play with very little cc.

23. How long have you had a simblr?

Many years. I don't know how many, because I accidentally deleted my original tumblr and my memory isn't the best.

24. How do you edit your pictures?

I used to use different actions and PSDs but now I just let reshade do the hard work. Then it's crop, resize, add a border.

25. What expansion/game/stuff pack do you want next?

I can't really think of anything I'd want officially adding to the game. For basically everything else, there's mods.

I like freetime a lot. I like trying to support my sims' favourite hobbies.

1. What’s your favourite sims death?

Old age. That's pretty much the only death in my game unless there's a rare accident. Plus, I love a tiki drink.

2. Alpha CC or Maxis Match?

Maxis match.

3. Do you cheat when your sims gain weight?

No. In fact, I use mods that get rid of some of the weight related wants and fears. (And in TS3 a lot of my sims are fat.)

4. Do you use move objects?

So much.

5. Favorite mod?

Probably the one that lets kittens and puppies have coat patterns.

6. First expansion/game/stuff pack you got?

What was the first TS expansion? Looks like it was Livin' Large? So that, I guess? Or maybe House Party? My sister got The Sims for xmas 2000, and Livin' Large was already out. Hmm. No idea. Too long ago!

7. Do you pronounce “live mode” like aLIVE or LIVing?

Live mode. (Not live mode.)

8. Who’s your favorite sim that you’ve made?

She's long gone, but probably my first TS2 sim. Her name was Annette something, I think. I also really liked Arthur Broadback, the partner I made for Cassandra. He's gone too now.

Yep. She's one of my models, modeling AF fat morph clothes, but only ones I'd wear. I used to have a sim whose name was Ramona who was kinda me. Her name was an anagram of my deadname (first and last).

Sims 2, so no traits. I think Ramona was a Romance sim. Sloppy, outgoing, lazy, kinda playful, kinda nice.

11. Which is your favorite EA hair color?

In TS2 they're all kinda bleh. Black, I guess?

I mostly use CC hair.

Hmmm.....Young Adult maybe? It's when I figure out their personalities.

Gameplay. No contest. I have to make myself decorate.

Off and on, though steadily on for 2-ish years lately.

Kinda? I'm bad at keeping in touch and perpetually too stressed to be a good friend. 😕 But there are definitely people in the community who I like and who like me, and that's something I wish I had more energy for.

2, it's not even close.

Nah. I own too much stuff and I don't think there's sims merch that would fit my style.

I have no tolerance for photoskinned CC anymore. I used to have tons of it.

Haha. Origin. No. I think I technically have an ID for it, but I have no idea what it might be. I don't use it.

Just over two years, but I missed the anniversary in March.

Minimally? I use GIMP and pretty much just crop them.

As far as TS4 stuff that will get converted? I'm kinda anticipating the goth kit they sorta teased. More stuff for children and younger would be nice too.

All TS2 EP's add something that feels vital, but....hmm....Nightlife? The attraction system really made the relationships feel more complex. Which one added secondary aspirations? That one is a strong contender too.
