So, if you’re half as obsessed with Disney Duck comics as I was as a kid, then you probably know it’s a whole thing that most of the characters have different names in different languages. Huey, Dewey and Louie for example are called “Tick, Trick and Track” in German, in French they’re “Riri, Fifi, and Loulou”, and in Spanish they’re “Hugo, Paco, and Luis” or “Juanito, Jorgito and Pedrito” depending on if they’re from Latin America or Spain
The Dutch version of DT17 opted to stick with the Dutch names for every character*, so the boys were called “Kwik, Kwek and Kwak” (all ways to say quack). The thing is for the longest time they were called “Loeki, Joost, and Victor” in Flemish, which is essentially the same as Dutch to the point where the languages will have one dub between them. Nowadays I believe the names are the same in both languages, but there’s still old comics out there where that’s what they’re called
Now here’s where that background is important: You know that scene where Della first reunites with the boys, and realizes Donald did not in fact give them the names she came up with, and instead gave them normal ones? In the original she and Dewey are both upset because he could have had a rad ass name like “Turbo”, but in Dutch they used that scene as a way to put in a nod to their Flemish names, by making them be what Della had planned to name her sons. So “Kwek”, instead of wanting a name like “Turbo” just really wanted to be called “Loekie” for some reason? I support him. That’s a cool name. But the funniest thing about that to me is that this version of Della wasn’t upset that Donald gave her sons normal names, she’s upset because he didn’t use her normal names and gave them all duck pun names instead
*The only exception being Webby, who was called “Lizzie” in the DT87 Dutch dub, the same name used for April Duck in the comics(She and her sisters are quite a bit more prominent in Dutch comics overall). The fact that this was the only name they changed gives the impression that the twist about her identity was planned from day one, and the translators may have been filled in on it
