Another night has been spent marathoning a new television show. To Leon’s right is Rebecca, curled up in her little space at the corner of the couch; her hands clench tightly on the blanket that secures her warmth. Her quiet mewl breaks Leon’s attention from the television screen, lulling his head towards her direction. With his mind a blank slate, it takes him twice as long to generate a thought. Finally, he reaches over to her legs, moving into a stand as he does; he tugs her legs out from the curl, allowing her to take the rest of the couch. He fetches a soft pillow and he slides the pillow in between her head and the arm of the couch, settling her back down. 

‘Sleep tight, Becky,’ he whispers. 

Leon bends over to apply a friendly, and gentle peck to her crown. The intoxicating smell of brownies fill his nostrils. He is well aware that her hair carries a fruity scent, and yet his mind implores him to consider home-cooked brownies. Brownies - a delectable treat that signifies home, comfort, and security. Here Leon is, far from home, and yet finds himself smack dab in the center of it. A warm smile spreads across his lips as his thumb gently strokes Rebecca’s hair.

‘Thanks for everything.’

claire redfield is not easy to anger, and this is what makes anger, for claire, exponentially explosive when it is prompted. because claire is such a tolerant and forgiving ( almost too forgiving ) individual, anger is especially difficult to trigger but when it is triggered it is laced with such disappointment and grief it is very hard to perceive it as menacing. anger, for claire, is an attempt to sound authoritative and reprimanding, but in reality it is difficult for claire to stay angry for long and thus screaming and shouting quickly turns into tears. claire greatly dislikes having to resort to anger, and thus her composure is typically shattered because she is disappointed and upset, allowing for yelling to quickly be overturned by vocal tremors and tearful accusations that she tries to stifle. claire’s trust is one of the most precious things one can EVER have, and when that trust is tampered with claire’s tolerance goes out the window and she gets angry---- but in reality, this anger is just, unfortunately and sadly, grief and disappointment disguised by frustrated yelling.

anger is usually brought on by the betrayal of her trust or as a result of the lives of someone she loves or cares for being put in danger that had been indeed preventable. when someone else harms someone she loves, claire’s anger is especially explosive. anger, if anything, is more of a defense and protection mechanism rather than something used to harm others, and is out of worry or frustration. most who know claire know never to anger her, for the result is terrifying in the sense that it is especially sad, seeing as claire’s experiences with trust in the past have rendered this to be a weak point especially.
