The Yacht struts - TW's friends (Markus's party crowd)! As we know Hollywood is a VERY competitive place. There are a lot of people jostling for a few roles. Sometimes even extremely talented people, unfortunately don't make a break.So let's say there is a bunch of low level, D - list actresses and influencers, not overly talented, kind of like TW and Instagram Influencer Jessica Mulroney want to stand out from the crowd and get some extra attention. Not especially talented as actresses, not particularly creative or interesting, but very fond of the lime light and materialistic - pushy and prepared to do all sorts to get ahead. How do such relatively low ranking celebrities get attention? In TW's and Mulroney's case - it seems to be using a variety of techniques, including networking meetings organized by Soho house 'Fixer' Markus Anderson, as well as travel to a variety of sailing locations and flying around the world and partying at Soho house openings in locations like Turkey and networking on yachts in the Caribbean. One of the techniques from MM's low ranking celebrity party crowd for getting noticed appears to be what I will call - 'The yacht strut'.MM and Jessica partying on a yachtMMMM's strut has been on display in a variety of places - King Charles' garden party, and even at a public memorial. At King Charles' garden party - TW's strut up the stairs - for comparison - please note that lady in a blue dress and orange shoes to the left - who also has high shoes on and is walking completely normally. Normal walk - versus strange, exaggerated strut in my opinionPriyanka ChopraOther contestants at the 2001 Miss World competition noted her entitled behavior - Priyanka literally dumping her bag on another competitor - and appeared to note that Priyanka seemed to have unearned influence over the outcome of the competition, with some claiming it was rigged. As a side note - an exaggerated walk seems to also be part of Priyanka's general approach - as per this (probably paid for) puff piece about her 'boss lady' walk(!?).Jessica 'I'll show you some Pippa!' MulroneyJessica Mulroney practised her yacht strut well before the TW's and Harold's wedding. She was apparently trying to get the attention that had previously been shown towards Pippa Middleton - who was apparently a quite embarrassed by the attention that was turned towards her athletic figure following her sister Princess Catherine's historic 2011 Wedding to Prince William. In contrast - Mulroney seems to have been deliberately asking startled photographers to take photographs of her backside and also practiced her walk in a tight blue dress, up the steps of the hallowed Saint George's Chapel."Jessica was reportedly asked for a pose by a prominent photographer at a gala event in Toronto, Canada, a month before the Royal Wedding.The New York Post reported a source saying: "She said archly, ‘I’m going to give you some Pippa,’ and turned her back to offer a rear shot.”...“I was kind of shocked, but that’s Jessica for you," Jess's friend reportedly said."On the steps of the sacred chapel Jessica studiously wiggled her butt as she walked up the stairs - the footage is carefully edited - so you only see the front view. You can still see the contrast between the way the others are walking normally, and Mulroney is strangely wiggling her hips.Jessica 'I'll show you some Pippa's' Mulroney's walk was in stark contrast to others who were walking normallyAnyway - what do you think? About Darren Criss

Since bursting onto the pop-culture landscape over a decade ago, Darren Criss has embodied the kind of kaleidoscopic artistry that’s entirely uninhibited by form or genre. The multi-hyphenates illustrious career spans television, film, music and stage. 

Last year, Criss shared the Broadway stage opposite Sam Rockwell and Laurence Fishburne in “American Buffalo,” which received a Tony Award-nomination for Best Revival of a Play. He also co-hosted “The Tony Awards: Act One” with Julianne Hough. The duo kicked off their hosting duties with a rousing performance of singing and dancing to an original tune written by Criss, titled “Set The Stage.” In 2015, he returned to the stage as Hedwig in “Hedwig and the Angry Inch.” In the titular role, critics alike raved, including The New York Timescalling his performance “mesmerizing.” He made his Broadway debut in 2012 as J. Pierrepont Finch in “How To Succeed In Business Without Really Trying.” With Criss at the helm, the revival made just under $4 million, which proved to be the most lucrative three weeks of its 11-month run. 

His portrayal of Andrew Cunanan in Ryan Murphy’s award-winning television series “American Crime Story: The Assassination of Gianni Versace” was met with widespread critical acclaim, earning Criss a Primetime Emmy Award, Golden Globe Award, Screen Actors’ Guild Award and Critics’ Choice Award. Known for playing Blaine Anderson on FOX’s global phenomenon “Glee,” he was nominated for two Screen Actors Guild Awards for Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Comedy Series. He also received an Emmy Award nomination in 2015 for Best Original Music and Lyrics for the song “This Time,” which appeared in the series finale. 

As a singer and songwriter, Criss released his first-ever holiday album entitled “A Very Darren Crissmas” on Decca Records in 2021. In it, he brought his radiant imagination and encyclopedic musical knowledge to a wildly eclectic collection of songs: big-band standards and novelty tunes, mid-century musical numbers and modern-day folk-pop ballads. Criss’ original track “Drunk on Christmas” featuring country chart-topper Lainey Wilson, showcased his effortless ingenuity as a songwriter. The result is an essential new entry into the holiday-music canon, both thrillingly unpredictable and touched with a timeless sense of Christmas magic. Made with Ron Fair, multi-Grammy® nominee and producer of numerous GRAMMY-winning hits, “A Very Darren Crissmas” also featured special guest appearances by Adam Lambert and Evan Rachel Wood. 

“A Very Darren Crissmas” was only the latest evidence of Criss’ singular gifts as a song interpreter. In 2021, he delivered a collection of character-driven singles as part of his solo EP titled “Masquerade” (BMG). In 2017, his EP “Homework” debuted at #1 on Billboard’s Heatseekers Album chart and in the same year, introduced his indie-pop band Computer Games. Through the years he’s also written songs for the comedy musical “Royalties,” “Central Park,” co-wrote “Starting Now” for Disney and performed by Brandy, and headlined the iHeartRadio Music Festival with Steve Aoki. 

Prior to his television career, the San Francisco native pursued his acting degree at the University of Michigan. In his senior year, Criss and his friends created a Harry Potter musical parody entitled, “A Very Potter Musical” as a fun project for their classmates, friends and other Harry Potter fans. Along with starring as the boy wizard himself, Criss also lent several of his songs to be used in the show. Within weeks of posting the musical online, it became a YouTube hit, garnering millions of views and musical theater‐world attention.

Using “A Very Potter Musical” as a springboard, Criss and his writing partners started StarKid Productions. Within a year, they wrote and produced subsequent online hits like “Starship” and “A Very Potter Sequel,” both of which he wrote the music and lyrics for. As a result, the StarKid brand has grown to become just as popular as the shows themselves, spawning an enormous cult following from all over the world. 

Criss and StarKid Productions appeared on the Billboard charts through four separate releases – all within the year 2012. These include the #1 spot on Billboard’s Top Cast Album for “Starship,” the #19 spot on the Top Compilations chart for “A Very StarKid Album,” and the #30 spot on Billboard's Heatseekers chart with Criss’ self‐released EP “Human.” 

Criss’ credits include host of ABC’s “The Queen Family Singalong,” “Muppets Haunted Mansion,” “Midway,” “Girl Most Likely,” “American Horror Story,” “Web Therapy,” and “Eastwick.” He is also the founder of New York City’s first show tunes music festival, Elsie Fest.

A.C.T.’s 2nd Annual All Hallows’ Gala: Zombie Ball 2023

American Conservatory Theater (A.C.T.) and gala co-chairs Heather Stallings Little & John Little and David Jones & Joe D’Alessandro hosted Zombie Ball, the second annual All Hallows’ Gala that was held on Friday, October 27 at San Francisco’s August Hall. Hailed as San Francisco’s best costume party fundraiser, the All Hallows’ Gala Zombie Ball presented guests with a frightfully elegant and theatrical night full of fun, gourmet food and wine, and dancing and games. The evening is the sole annual fundraising event for A.C.T., providing essential funds for the theater’s artistic, actor training, and education and community programs. Guests at this year’s Zombie Ball were encouraged to dress in costume or cocktail attire.

The wonderfully frightening evening began with a cocktail reception where guests enjoyed live music and conversation on the mezzanine, or escaped to the “scream-easy” for a luxe respite. Guests were ushered to the historic music hall and treated to an autumnal-inspired menu created by Gold Leaf Catering. Afterwards, A.C.T. Young Conservatory alum and award-winning stage, screen, and music recording artist Darren Criss (American Buffalo, Hedwig and the Angry Inch, American Crime Story: The Assassination of Gianni Versace, Glee) regaled guests with some thrilling, Halloween-themed programming! Capping off the festive evening was the After-Life Party, featuring ultimate dance band Vinyl Project and the opportunity to play retro-games in the cool underground haunt, which included bowling, hoops, skee-ball, and late-night bites, tricks, and treats. Gala special guest Darren Criss joined the band on vocals and guitar, treating guests to an impromptu mini-concert!
