it's surreal, but you make it to that first anniversary. it sneaks up on you. john's career takes him away for weeks at a time. you guess absence really makes the heart grow fonder because you find yourself melting into him each time he comes home. sparing him pecks on the cheek and chin when you pass him in the kitchen. rubbing his aching back on the couch. cooking his favorites 'just because'.

you initiate more, too. seeking out and stealing his body warmth in bed. snaking a hand down his sweatpants to hear his appreciative groans. tugging him into the too-small shower. casually flashing him during a liverpool friendly to test his interest. (you ended up face-first on the couch for that and suspect he kept an eye on the match.)

so when the one-year mark arrives, you make a special effort. a new outfit, new underwear, a spritz of the scent you know he prefers, and a reservation at one of his favorite spots. your efforts pay off, as you knew they would. john barely keeps his paws off you. a greedy hand on your knee throughout dinner and a proud grin. he whispers adorations over wine.

never thought i'd get so lucky.

you hardly expected to find love when you applied for a spouse. you'd gone into it with practicality in mind, the economics of the arrangement. but john won you over. supported you through job loss and social isolation. even when he's away, he's a constant. you tell him all this over dessert, a little misty-eyed, and he reels you in for a kiss.

on the drive home, you're buzzing. giddy. he has one hand on the wheel and the other on your thigh. the radio on low. he wants you to hear his filth, his plans for you. he jokes about giving you a dozen orgasms, one per month of marital bliss, slipping a plug in once you're full, or shoving your knees to your ears.

you follow him up the walk, giggly and wound up, fully expecting him to fuck you in the entry. instead, he shuts the door over your shoulder and takes your hand. gives you a sly smile, thumb rubbing your wrist. you miss the extra shoes on the floor when he leads you toward the sitting room.

All Aboard the Centipede Train!

this is an au I've been planning for a while, its basically set in an apocalyptic kind of world, with the entire planet run over by both strange, and rather dangerous monsters.

Ingo and Emmet are twins who travel together, and one day, while exploring subway system while in some caves, they find a strangely functional subway train.

some time after their boarding, to their surprise, the train starts up on its own, and both twins quickly realize they aren't in a train, but rather a centipede train monster!

despite the fact that the subway train is a monster tho, its surprisingly docile and apathetic, traveling the subway cave system seemingly just by schedule, almost like the spirit of the subway train still has some control over how the monster functions XD

as long as Ingo and Emmet board the train before the monster takes off again, they never miss a stop! not to mention it works as a pretty sweet base too, lol. never get in front of the monster while its on track tho, cause it won't stop until it reaches its next destination, even if that means running over someone

I kinda went on a ramble here, but I hope everything I said makes sense, lol
