Is it weird that i found charles is far more disturbing then alister? despite alister is builded up as much worse one? I found the way alister portrayed in his debut title(Fate's carnival) underwhelming compares to charles in escape from ravenhearst

Well to be fair, if you are going to compare a lovesick serial killer who trapped his own crush, her maid and her two children into ghosts in his house of madness and also possibly forced the maid to have his son to a wizard who is looking for a way to gain immortality and revenge to his son’s crush’s ancestors, it’s kinda easy to pick which one is more intimidating 🤷‍♀️

Though on a serious note, Charles is of course the most popular villain in the MCF series as well as the one who Master Detective frequently have gone against through out their career, so it makes sense on why Charles Dalimar is the most dangerous than his father.

Alister Dalimar have also killed people but most of them are his own family and people who he thinks are a threat of his pursuit in gaining immortality. Charles just finds any person, kidnaps them, and kill them for his experiments and if you caught his eye or interest, oh boy your gonna suffer fate worst than death (or this case undead).

For those who don't speak Spanish I took the time to translate this post into English(I hope this okay with the original poster). Also I used Google Translate to translate this so I apologize if it isn't entirely correct or doesn't entirely make sense.

Impressions

It has light spoilers, if you haven't reached the end ignore it.

Now with the temporal alteration I happen this:

The MD cured Emma, Emma managed to return to the United States to take care of her sick father, she married another man and her offspring work with MD at the agency.

We sent the letter to stop the construction of the mansion, and as Charles was arrested and taken to the asylum(I hope to another one), the construction stopped permanently and the victims who he used for his experiments lived in peace(How do you think he managed to make a machine to be immortal?:trial, error and test subjects)

Without Emma and without a mansion, Rose was not hired by Charles, neither she nor her daughters had a fatal fate, Rose lived happily next to her husband.

And since Emma or Rose was not imprisoned by Charles, Victor was not born.

Most of the games in the Ravenhearst saga did not happen by changing the past, these were:Ravenhearst, Madame Fate(Fate is still alive), Return to Ravenhearst, Escape From Ravenhearst, Rewind.

The games where Alister appears could happen differently; In Fate's Carnival, Alister, not knowing about his son, decides to trap Fate to get her crystal ball, MD would rescue her and defeat Alister, in Sacred Grove, the story would not change, the Key and Unlock games would be combined, Alister would make a lair in the old unfinished construction of the mansion, he would put a spell on the guy to make a museum of the middle ages, he would get the materials and by his own spells raise the ancestral land, the MD would confront him together with the MD of the age half, Alister loses, MD does not get the crow skull mark and there would be no Dalimars. Whether or not the stories of the games are combined, see it however you want.

The case papers would no longer exist or their information would change.

Will MD's memories of his cases related to the Dalimars be erased over time or not?

Charles said he would come back and show up again, we'll see.

But what did impress me is...

Why does MD have wavy hair?

Her hair is pretty and she takes care of it but it wasn't how I imagined her. (I thought she would have straight hair). :c

Again I hope the translation is correct considering I used Google Translate. This is an interpretation of the events of Dalimar Legacy and while everyone is allowed their own opinion I wanted to give my own opinion on what is stated here.

The first paragraph just states what happens. The only thing I have to say about this is I love Robert so much. He is so cute. Also yes Charles was working on puzzles, locks and contraptions from the very beginning because we know this is why he was locked in the asylum in the first place; his diagnosis was literally illusions of grandeur and lock and key obsession.

The next sentence, yes Robert is incredibly loyal which is what, unfortunately, leads to his demise, merely because of his programing. RIP robo-buddy.

The first bullet point, it is very clear that MD cures Emma, considering they, while possessing Charles, looks for a cure and administers it. And yes the offspring of Emma does work at the agency with MD because at the end after MD goes back to their own time period and their own body, they meet said offspring, which is Emma's (I think) great-granddaughter, who tells MD the manor was never lived in, mentions Emma, she even looks like Emma and mentions it becoming the new MCF headquarters.

The second bullet point, yes the letter stopped the construction and thankfully, Charles was arrested, sent back to the asylum and hopefully, everyone else lived happily ever after.

The third bullet point, this one gets a bit confusing. Yes, Rose lives happily with her husband and never works for Charles but... the daughters. That's the confusing part. One of two things could happen with them. In Key To Ravenhearst we learn the twins are related to Charles rather than Rose's husband like originally thought. With the changed timeline, they could either be:A:never born or B:be related to Rose's husband(for real this time). It is up to personal choice. I could honestly see either one being true.

The fourth bullet point, I fully agree with this one. No Victor. Thank goodness.

The fifth and sixth bullet points, I am combining these for a reason. I agree with the list of cases that no longer exist but I also want to add some. I believe that Ravenhearst, Madame Fate, Return to Ravenhearst, Escape From Ravenhearst, Fate's Carnival, Sacred Grove, Key To Ravenhearst, Rewind, and possibly Moths To A Flame don't exist and here is the reason. Ravenhearst never happened cuz the manor was never finished. Madame Fate never happened because Charles was locked up and long dead(possibly) by then so therefore she doesn't die. Return to Ravenhearst and Escape from Ravenhearst never happened for the same reason as Ravenhearst. Fate's Carnival, Sacred Grove, Key To Ravenhearst and Ravenhearst Unlocked never happened because Alister would be trapped in the Ball of Fate. The only reason he originally escaped is because Madame Fate was dead and the spell trapping him weakened and he was accidentally released by MD. But with Madame Fate still alive the spell never weakened and Alister is still trapped. Since Alister is still trapped, Ravenhearst City never got resurrected and the citizens that are trapped there remain so. And Moths To A Flame possibly didn't happen because the Archivist wouldn't have had the Ravenhearst cases to take inspiration from but then again, it could've still happened just differently. If Moths To A Flame didn't happen, the games following that featured the green energy, could've been erased or changed. But what was described in the sixth bullet point is interesting to think about as a possibility but the biggest flaw I see with it is it is obvious Alister never used the manor because when MD goes back to their own time, the manor was never lived in or used at all from the looks of it and seems to be confirmed by Emma's descendant.

The seventh bullet point, yes the cases that no longer exist would no longer have a record in existence.

The eighth bullet point, it's possible but honestly I don't think they will forget.

The sentence following the bullets, I think Charles will come back for several reasons. For one thing, the Dalimars always seem to pop back up. For another, in this new timeline, Alister is likely still alive, albeit trapped, and he could get free somehow still. Third, GrandMA Games, stated in a Facebook post that 'Charles Dalimar will live forever.' And lastly, I am an optimistic Charles fangirl who needs Charles to come back.

And on the last thing, I don't think the Detective's hair is a for sure thing. As it is shown, the Detective is likely to have any hairstyle or look or gender. I think it is to be assumed the Detective is supposed to be you or whoever or whatever you want them to be.

Sorry for the long post. I just saw this and wanted to translate and give my thoughts. What are your guys' thoughts?

Ok, ya me vi un gameplay del juego, se nos mostró qué la energía verde envió al pasado de su nemesis, Charles inventaba y construía cualquier cosa mecánica(un robot mayordomo llamado Robert, tubos para pasar cartas, un barco pequeño volador para enviar paquetes y mensajes); si qué trabajaba en sus proyectos. Las puertas con rompecabezas están presentes.

Robert(o Roberto como le digo), es un asistente leal, muy leal. 🤍⚙️

Ahora con la alteración temporal paso esto:

El MD curó a Emma, Emma logro volver a Estados Unidos para cuidar a su padre enfermo, se caso con otro hombre y su descendencia trabaja con MD en la agencia.

Enviamos la carta para parar la construcción de la mansión, y como Charles fue arrestado y llevado al manicomio(espero que a otro), la construcción paró definitamente y las víctimas quienes utilizo para sus experimentos vivieron tranquilos(¿Cómo creen que logro hacer una maquina para ser inmortal?: prueba, error y sujetos de prueba).

Sin Emma y sin mansión, Rose no fue contratada por Charles, ni ella ni sus hijas tuvieron un destino fatal, Rose vivió feliz al lado de su esposo.

Y como Emma o Rose no fue aprisionada por Charles, Víctor no nació.

La mayoría de los juegos de la saga Ravenhearst no sucedieron por cambiar el pasado, estos fueron: Ravenhearts, Adame Fate(Fate sigue viva), Retorno a Ravenhearts, Escape de Ravenhearts, Rewind.

Los juegos en donde aparece Alister podrían pasar de forma diferente; en Carnaval de Fate Alister al no saber de su hijo decide atrapar a Fate para conseguir su bola de cristal, MD la rescataría y derrotaría a Alister, en Sacred Grove la historia no cambiaría, los juegos de Key y Unlock se combinarían, Alister haría una guarida en la vieja construcción sin terminar de la mansión, pondría en un hechizo al tipo para que haga un museo de la edad media, conseguiría los materiales y por sus propios hechizos levantaría la ancestral tierra, el MD lo enfrentaría junto al MD de la edad media, Alister pierde, a MD no se le hace la marca con forma de cráneo de cuervo y ya no habrían Dalimars. El que si se combinan o no las historias de los juegos véanlo como quieran.

Los papeles de los casos ya no existirían o su información cambiaría.

¿A MD se le borraran los recuerdos de sus casos relacionados a los Dalimar con el paso del tiempo o no?

Charles dijo que volvería y quizás vuelva a aparecer, ya veremos.

Over The Raven's Roost:Obviously It Is A Mystery Case Files Fanfic. The Return Of Charles Dalimar

So I recently played through the entire Mystery Case Files series and I have a question. Does anyone else feel like Crossfade was foreshadowing something or is it just me?

I honestly feel like there was foreshadowing there for a few reasons.

The first would have to be the return of the Dalimars. Like come on. They can’t just bring back two of the biggest villains in the series for a short little blip of time like that and then done. I feel like we haven’t seen the last of the Dalimars.

Then there is also some of the things that happened while encountering the Dalimars. The way Charles reacted after the Detective fixed that timeline was kinda odd. And then Alister... That is an interesting thing there. He had the power to trap Madame Fate in the mirror world. And as we see in the bonus of Crossfade after Madame Fate is free, Alister himself is in the mirror world and his eyes change from red to green. I don’t know if that is because the timeline was fixed or something else but I got some sketchy vibes. 

Then there are things from other games that got me thinking about the possibility of Charles or Alister or any of the Dalimars returning for that matter. In Rewind, Victor caused a disruption in the timeline while trying to find his father, which ultimately brought Charles to the Hotel where the detective defeated him resulting in his soul being split into shards. Though the detective made sure to put the shards in Agency custody that doesn’t necessarily mean anything. Something could happen to result in those shards being stolen or lost or broken. I mean if the Agency was infiltrated by the Archivist in Moths To A Flame, what’s to say it won’t happen again? What’s to say someone won’t infiltrate the agency and get ahold of the shards of Charles’ soul somehow? I mean Victor is still alive at the Hotel, he’s very weak but he is still alive. And come on, he’s a Dalimar. He should be able to heal himself somehow.

And lastly, there is Pendle Tower. The mirror world was quite strange to me. The Detective mentioned that the way it was set up reminded them of Crossfade. Coincidence? I think not. Those two coincide somehow I just know it!

And let’s also not forget what Charles said to the Detective at the end of Escape From Ravenhearst. He swore revenge. How could he get revenge if he is dead? He will come back! I just know it!

Am I just overthinking all of this? Maybe. Am I hoping that Charles will make another appearance? Yes. Will I sit anxiously waiting for the next game to come out? Abso-freaking-lutely! Come on! Get a move on with the next one! Let me know what your guys take is in on this.
