How to participate: Make a post recommending a fic, flash fic, or novel you love. Any websites are welcome. Please makes sure you include any potential trigger warnings. This event is opened for both fan fiction and original work. This is to boost other's works.

We do allow anon asks. If we receive hate mail even one time, I block the account. This is including but not limited to messages about any Tumblr users.

There are also times when I, @bardic-tales, will go to OC creator’s inboxes and ask a few questions about their characters or projects.

Six Sentence Sunday: On a Butterfly's Wing

As part of @bardic-tales and @creators-club, a Sunday challenge to post six sentences from your current WIP. This ended up being a little more than six sentences.

“Devin, sit down.” Janus didn’t raise his voice but the shadows under the door shifted and Logan heard the thunk of the loveseat hitting the wall between them. “You’re here so we can handle this quietly,” he continued. “However, if you insist on causing a scene, I am more than happy to wait until the office opens and we can have a proper audience.” “This is all his word against mine.” Devin dipped into a quiet confidence. “You don’t want this to get loud because then everyone will hear what an over-dramatic little princess your bro—” Remus’ voice came out as a growl. “I wouldn’t finish that sentence if I were you.” There was another voice in the room, similar to Remus’ but softer. Not quieter, just softer. Roman. Logan couldn’t make out much more than, “~want it to stop.”

It's an early draft and I'm not sure how much is actually going to make it to the final story, but here we are.

Content Guidelines

Originality: We do not accept AI-generated content. Please only submit original works created by you or collaboratively with others.

Accepted Content: All forms of creative works are welcomed: fanfiction, art, meta, alternate universes, canon-based, original characters, canon x reader, canon x oc, and original works created by our talented indie or aspiring indie authors.

Queue Submissions: Submissions that do not relate to a current event will be added to the queue for posting. All queued posts will be hashtagged with 'ready-set-queue'. This helps to keep our group feed balanced.

Polls: At this time, we are not accepting polls for submission.

Event Participation

Flexible Engagement: Participate in events as much or as little as you are able to. As a person with a chronic illness, I understand how batteries or spoons are low some days. There is no pressure to engage beyond what you feel comfortable with.

Joining the Creators' Club Tag List

How to join: To be added to the Creators' Club tag list for Tumblr games and Writeblr ask games, please interact with the joining post by liking, reblogging, or commenting on it. By doing so, you're letting @bardic-tales know that you wish to participate in community activities, receive tags, and engage in our supportive, drama-free space.

Alternative Blog: If you have a different blog that you'd prefer to be tagged in, please specify it in a reply to the joining post.

Proper Tagging

NSFW Content: Any NSFW (Not Safe for Work) content must be clearly tagged as such. This ensures that all members can enjoy the community in a safe and comfortable environment.

Content Warnings: Please add content warnings where necessary. For example, if your work has violence, please tag for violence. This makes our club safe and welcoming for all.

Tagging for Events: Please tag @bardic-tales after you make your post or answer a question for the events hosted by the Club. This allows me to upload your work to both @creators-club and @bardic-tales efficiently.

Submission Process

Hashtags: Always use relevant hashtags so we can categorize your work properly. If you do not include a fandom hashtag, we'll assume it is original work.

Ask Rounds: Asks are usually sent out in two rounds to avoid being barred from sending asks. Your patience is appreciated during this process.

Reblogs: Please be patient with reblogs, as I'm the only one managing this, as of right now, and I also want to be able to create my own content. I appreciate your understanding as I work to share everyone's submissions.

She could feel the sand shift and move beneath her feet as she marched forward, shells crunching, and pebbles clacking under her, and her eyes tracked the myriad of beautiful colours laid out before her like a carpet of flowers in the forest.

I got nothing for this one. I tried song, lyrics, melody, and tune as well but no luck.

Trickle

"Enough!" Booker shouted, and Lizzy's head snapped up to stare at him in surprise.

She could count on her hands how many times in his life Booker had raised his voice. Preferring to use carefully chosen words instead, but when she spotted the trickle of concern on the edge of her mind she understood why he'd made the exception.

Egg

Free

"Ah," he managed to force out, but something in his voice must have tipped her off, because her attention suddenly snapped back to him, and her eyes narrowed before she winced.

"That's not... I didn't mean... squirrel shit," Lizzy spluttered, covering her eyes with her free hand and sighing. "I forgot you vampires tie up everything together."

Cup

"Lizzy," Booker muttered, voice barely above a whisper, and she felt her hands clench around her coffee cup. Would it be an apology, or the start of another fight? She didn't know because Andric's voice interrupted him, making both of them jump in their seats and Lizzy spilled coffee over her hand.

"I see you both found the dining room," he sighed, pulling out the chair beside Lizzy and sitting down.

Meet

"I really don't know, Booker," Lizzy cut him off again. "Spell it out for me!"

"Fine," he snapped, throwing back the covers and rising to his feet.

Booker wasn't as tall as Andric, but he was still a full head above Lizzy. Despite that, she refused to let him push her into backing down. Not even as he moved closer, and she was forced to tilt her head back to continue meeting his blazing green eyes.

Sky

It was the chilling spray on the wind that made her look up again and realise she was only a few feet from the water, and Lizzy stared out at the rolling waves, eyes searching for something on the horizon. Another shoreline, an island, a tree, but she saw nothing. Just the sky meeting the sea.

It reminded her of the borders of Arbaon, where the land ended and all that spread out before you were the white mists and clouds of oblivion, but the movement of the ocean spoke of life.

Green

"I'm good with that plan if you are," Booker said, green eyes filled with worry and Lizzy nodded, running her pearl pendant over her lower lip as she considered their situation, before nodding again and turning back to Andric.

Seen

"So, did any of the locals have anything new or useful to say?" Booker asked Andric, and Lizzy moved to sit on her bed, while Andric took the only chair in the room.

"Unfortunately not," he said as he sank down onto the hard wooden chair. His legs were stretched out in front of him, crossed at the ankles, and Lizzy kept her gaze fixed on the one, lonesome, window so that she wouldn't be tempted to stare.

"Plenty of stories, half a dozen legends, but nothing of real use or substance, and once again no one who has actually seen Connorbar Moore in more than a decade."

Mean

"What's that supposed to mean?" Lizzy snapped, and Booker rolled onto his side, one elbow braced on the bed, lips parted to argue with her when Andric sighed heavily.

"Guys, come on," he muttered, and just like that their argument deflated.

Lean

"You're right. Both of you. I guess I can email the clan leader at Newton and tell him we've been delayed," he said.

Lizzy struggled to keep herself from breaking into a beaming grin, but she didn't think she'd fooled Andric for a moment, when the vampire just rolled his eyes and leant past her to close the boot of his car.
