Why did we stop playing pretend?

Hi. I’m a (freshly) 25 year old ftm dude who genuinely still loves playing pretend.

I’d love to find people-specifically people who roleplay literately do play pretend with.

I love pretending to be my favorite celebrities, fictional characters, original characters and so on.

Recently my best friend who I used to do it with has seemed to lose interest and I yet again feel stupid and alone when I want to pretend to be someone like Bill Denbrough from It or someone.

There HAS to be more people that like do to it too and also do literate rp, right?

In the middle of the night, a robber breaks in.

A young woman played by me is sleeping

The robber sees the sleeping woman and goes to attack her.

The woman wakes up 1st and tackles him to the floor.

End scene.

Morning. The woman is peacefully eating breakfast.

The robber's car is still parked on the street.

The woman goes into the backyard and gets a bright red spiky orb off of a tree.

She goes downstairs past a closed door and into the basement.

The robber is tied up and gagged.

The woman lifts his shirt and puts the red spiky orb on his skin.

Robert starts screaming.

End scene.

Cut to the afternoon.

The robber's car is no longer on the street.

The woman parks in her driveway and pulls out a tree sapling from her car trunk.

She smiles and greets her neighbors as she carries the tree to the backyard and begins digging a deep hole.

End scene.

Sunset.

The hole is not very big around but very deep. The woman climbs out of the hole and goes inside.

She walks to the basement, and We see the robber is now a dried out corpse.

She removes his clothes, And the spiky orb Before wrapping the body In fabric.

She carries the body to the garage and begins cutting it up with an ax just out of frame.

End scene.

Night time.

The woman carries a Burlap bag into the backyard before burying it in a hole, planting the tree on top of it.

notice there are several other spiky red orbs on various trees in the background.

She goes inside, puts the robber's clothes in the washing machine Then check on the orb.

The orb has hatched. It's a changeling.

End scene

Midnight.

The woman stops outside of a house.

She opens the window and crawls inside.

There's a baby sleeping peacefully on a crib.

The woman places the changeling in the crib with the baby.

There are now 2 identical babies.

She carefully picks up one and goes home.

The end.

Fake Chivalry Tied The Noose, But The Aliens Pulled The Trigger

is the name of the film I’ve been writing for the past little while.

it’s about 20 year old apathetic university student Andrew Bennetts navigating his life through his girlfriend’s (Analise Danaus) debilitating mental illness, and his own that occur through this struggle. It’s a dark comedy of sorts with a train of thought inner monologue/poetry thing going on.

I’m very very excited about this project, and have just cast my Andrew.

I would absolutely love to get in touch with some artists and a voice actors who would perhaps be interested in this project. I’m okay at drawing people, but not very good at anything else, so background artists would be absolutely awesome.

this is a very real project and one that is very important to me and anyone who lends out even the tiniest bit of support would be the most appreciated. I can also share more about the story + some concept art if anyones interested

“Venom definitely isn’t permanently dead don’t be sad”

I’m not upset Venom died and I’m not worried it’s permanent, I’m mad that their relationship and character development somehow regressed. I’m upset that it looked like Eddie didn’t give a shit that his “best friend in the whole world” just died for his sake in front of him. And instead of giving us any sort of emotional reaction from Eddie we got what looks like a TikTok edit made by a fourteen year old on CapCut. Eddie should have at least, like, cried or something. Though realistically that man should have been sobbing on the ground screaming “please don’t leave me! I need you!” In the first movie when Venom is sacrificing himself Eddie shouts “Venom no!!!” And they had been together for, like, three days. You really telling me that the death of your year long companion doesn’t make you shed a single tear???

Also! All of this is emphasized by the fact that Eddie spent the entire movie bitching and moaning about how much stuff sucked that when Venom died it kind of came across as Eddie being relieved of Venom as a burden on his life. It kind of seemed like Eddie was happy about this outcome and it left a bad taste in my mouth.
