Sometimes I wonder how much the mortal parents of demigods know before hand about raising a demigod child. (The ones who the gods reveal themselves to anyways.) Like what, if anything, do the gods tell their lovers?

Did Fredrick Chase have to get an Ancient Greek to English dictionary when his daughter started speaking in an ancient dialect of a language he doesn’t know?

Did Sally Jackson get any heads up before having to figure out how to bath a baby who is literally waterproof when he wants to be?

Did Naomi Solace have to figure how to put a baby to sleep who can glow in the dark?

It’s really clear that Esperanza Valdez didn’t know that her son might be fireproof given how much she freaked out when she found him sleeping in a bed of coals.

Just the idea of these very human parents trying to raise their inhuman children and having no idea how to do it or what to expect.

also in case anyone objects to the language I've been using, I found out from one of the other teachers today as everyone came out of the woodwork to celebrate taking her down a peg, that one of the things another teacher reported her for was that she threw away a non-verbal autistic child's comfort toy (a child of a working single mom who needs financial help from a state program to help her get appropriate toys for her, no less) after intentionally hiding it from the girl because she "made too much of a fuss about it." like I really do not use the term cunt lightly, but she's really just a cunt and I hope she drops dead.
